Meta OC Questions
Once upon a time, I posted a series of questions asking about thematic/symbolic elements in relation to ocs.
Well now I've decided to create a new set of oc questions, this time touching upon meta elements of them as well as how they interact with the world they're placed in.
I'm mostly aiming these questions at fandom ocs (which is more obvious in some later questions) but these could also apply to wholly original characters.

What inspired you to create your oc?
Why does your oc look the way they do? What are your reasons for their appearance?
What is the origin of the character's name?
Why did you give them the name they have? What is the in-universe reason for their name?
What kind of abilities and power level does your oc have? Why did you give them their powers? What's the in-universe reason?
What are the weaknesses in their power? Why did you give them their weaknesses? What's the in-universe reason?
Does your oc have any notable skills or good personality traits? Why did you give them those traits? Why do they exist in-universe?
Does your oc have any notable flaws or activities they're not good at? Why did you give them those flaws? Why do they exist in-universe?
In a group dynamic, what kind of role does the oc usually fill? Are they a worry wart? A troublemaker? The straight man?
What is your favorite trait regarding your oc?
What is your least favorite trait regarding your oc?
Which canon characters (if any) do the oc have good relationships with? Why those characters?
Which canon characters (if any) do the oc have bad relationships with? Why those characters?
Did you give your oc a love interest? Is it another oc or a canon character? Why?
How does your oc interact with the canon narrative? What about it do they change?
What aspect(s) of the universe's lore are they connected to? Do they change/add lore to the universe?
List/describe up to five tropes that apply to your oc. They could be related to the oc's characterization or their narrative arc.
Imagine meeting your oc. What would you want to say to them or do with them?
How might your oc react to finding out you are the one responsible for their life?
Share a random piece of trivia about the creation of your oc. Examples: scrapped ideas or changes you didn't expect to make.

extremely regional convenience store near me is doing a “mystery donut” and these are the potential flavors you could get. i told the cashier i wanted to try the “black licorice”, “dirt”, and “elvis” flavor and she was like “but what if you get the toothpaste one”
#i partly thought it was a april fools joke but they had two mystery flavors available for purchase#i think i could manage any of these aside from the toothpaste or spaghetti sauce flavor#i would genuinely be hype on a black licorice donut. or carrot cake#wait i would die if i got the pickle one too#also probably couldn’t finish any of the soda flavor ones but i think i could give it an honest try

maybe i should model silver after i get done rigging neo. amp up his design and make it a little wacky even. could be inch resting
#soda offers you a can#i already have a sonic-proportioned rig from the tails model so aside from possible touch ups that wouldn't be a hassle#and it would give me a chance to make something lower poly too i imagine#the tails model is a bit higher than i'd like it to be anyway

I gotta admit, when I played Yakuza Kiwami 2 I abused the muscle soda so bad. Ryuji’s final boss fight took me less than 30 seconds. Hell the two tigers took me longer. I love abusing speedrunning tactics :3
I’m just glad I clipped those fights, the dragon engine physics really made some things interesting lmfao. Nothing like rubber banding across the fighting grounds-

went one whole day without even a little headache... merry christmas to me (*゜▽゜)_□
#started a new medication that has one truly perplexing side effect#(makes carbonated beverages taste flat and gross)#but aside from that and general tiredness it seems to be improving my general well-being#i can live without soda if it means not getting a migraine for five straight days#not having caffeine also means my tics aren't so out of control which is also really nice#here's hoping for continued success with these meds

homestuck fans when theres no rhyme or reason to the trickster designs and its literally just a jumbled mess of hideous colors and vague candy themes which means theres no consistency to analyze to help with making fan designs
#now imagine if you will a very distraught face. because i cant be bothered adding an image#ANYWAYSSSSSSS i wanted 2 try making one but god its just so hard bc theres so many fucking colors and i suck at coloring anyway#i tried analyzing them to the best of my abilities to see if there was any consistency i could go off of......... but no theres Nothing#the only thing is that their cheek swirls are the same color as their pestechum colors. and thats it#even the outfits are different it seems to be slightly altered versions of their original outfits?#like roxy was wearing her purple knit dress when she got bonked but it was still her original outfit afterwards#their hair colors dont make sense their shoe colors dont make sense their head ornaments make a LITTLE sense..........#jakes and dirks are the most obvious. pumpkin and orange soda its like their thing i guess#janes being a muffin makes sense cuz crockercorp baker etc etc#roxys makes the least sense...... i dont think there was ever any mention of cotton candy for her aside from when caliborn wanted his weird#smut to be color coordinated for whatever reason#whenever i make otufits its usually just varying shades of the same 3 or so colors so trickster designs are a nightmare#even my old trickster mode trollsona was like. 3 colors total LOL#not to mention i wanted to make this design for my trollsona. and we only ever saw humans in trickster mode#and looking at older fanart didnt help cuz everyone had decided unanimously that the canon designs sucked ass (they did)#and in the future we should all give each character a food or somthing similar to base the whole design off of (good decision)#blehh. i give up its too much of a pain-_-#anyway. maybe i really am sick i think i need to lay down#already slept literally all day but im still so tired..........#i took painkillers and allergy meds in case of cat hair on bed but i still feel groggy as fuck#well whatever. itll probably go away soon i never really stay sick for long
