Chapter 1

I’d never seen an Autobot up close before, never with my own eyes. Sure, I’d seen parts of dead ones, watched plenty of video footage, but I’d never actually stood in the same room as one before, let alone, Optimus Prime himself.

He was so big, so powerful, such a force to be reckoned with, no wonder he was the leader of the Autobots, he was incredibly commanding on sight alone.

I had been called upon along with a variety of other scientists to try to solve a problem, one that would inevitably be solved by some physicist, they always got the glory. I studied Space Engineering, these days it gave a much more secure career path, but it didn’t come with a lot of recognition.

A meeting between Optimus Prime and the President’s spokesman was reaching boiling point, I couldn’t remember the man’s name, but judging from his attitude towards anything alien, he might not have lasted very long.

‘Your planet will be destroyed-‘ Optimus implored.

‘And who’s fault would that be?’ The man snapped back. ‘If you shared some of your technology, we stand a chance against this thing.’

‘Your capacity for war amongst yourselves does not fill me with confidence that you would not abuse any technology we give you.’

He had a point there.

‘That’s not your choice to make.’ The man took a breath and I turned to my friend Theo.

‘Of course it’s his choice to make,’ I said. ‘It’s his technology to share.’

We chuckled quietly, suddenly noticing the quiet that had blanketed the entire hanger. I looked up to see both the president’s man and Optimus Prime staring down at me, one with annoyance, the other with a curiosity in his eyes.

‘And anyway,’ the man continued, I should’ve remembered the echo in the building and not said anything at all. ‘If a ship is about to plunge itself into our planet, I think we’d all appreciate a few weapons to defend ourselves with.’

Optimus hadn’t stopped looking at me the entire time the man spoke, not until he went to reply. The argument went on for ages and I decided to try and get back to work while it did, but all I could see in my minds eye was Optimus Prime’s blue eyes staring down at me. I felt so small.

Eventually, the scientists were called upon to speak, I wasn’t the spokesperson for my department so was grateful that I wouldn’t have to put myself in the spotlight again, but I didn’t necessarily agree with everything we were presenting.

‘You disagree.’ Optimus’s low voice echoed throughout the hanger.

All the speakers had been sent up to the balcony so that they were eye level with the Autobot, I stayed down below with Theo who was also grateful that he didn’t have to speak. Both of us believed that organics would remain undetectable by the alien ship heading towards Earth, so it stood to reason that a human could go in and sabotage the ship to prevent it from harvesting our core.

Optimus’s attention was never on the spokesperson for our department, in fact the second she stepped forward to speak, he looked down at us. I turned away unable to maintain eye contact any longer and never realised that he kept his gaze on me especially.

When I didn’t answer his question, Optimus descended onto one knee, and I felt my heart racing.

‘What is your name?’ He asked, his deep voice somehow quieter, as if he knew how intimidating he was.

Theo nudged me to stand, and I did, feeling my mouth go dry. I awkwardly shoved my glasses up my nose and stuttered. ‘Uh, I, Harding. Dr Jane Harding.’ I finally managed to get out.

‘Dr Jane Harding.’ Optimus repeated and it was strange to hear him say it. ‘I would like to hear your opinion on the matter.’

‘Um, excuse me.’ The president’s man interrupted. ‘She is not part of this presentation; her opinion is being put to you by her spokesperson.’

Optimus quickly turned to the man and snapped. ‘You have had your chance to speak, you will allow others their time as well.’ He turned his attention back to me. ‘It is clear that you do not agree that my Autobots could penetrate the ship’s exterior and destroy its controls, so what do you think is best, Dr Jane Harding?’

I cleared my throat, my eyes flickering towards the angry looking man still glaring down at me.

‘I…’ I cleared my throat again, this wasn’t the time for cowardice, the fate of the world was at stake and if my opinion was what saved us, then I shouldn’t have been intimidated by one alien. ‘The ship looks to be of a similar origin to Cybertron,’ I started, trying hard to be brave. ‘It stands to reason that it will detect you the second you make your way towards it, but there’s a good chance it will not detect organics in quite the same way. We could send a man inside to sabotage the controls.’

‘A human?’ Optimus thought for a moment, that was when Lennox stepped forward.

‘Are you saying we could send a team inside that ship, dismantle its control system and get out without being detected?’ He asked, curiously more than thinking the idea was ridiculous.

I pushed my glasses up my nose again, the sweat causing them to slide. ‘Well, it wouldn’t be quite as simple as that.’ Lennox almost laughed, knowing it was too good to be true. ‘Like I said, the Autobots would be detected long before they even reached the ship’s hull, and we don’t currently have anything powerful enough to blast a hole in the side of it.’ I swallowed, nervously. ‘Anything electronic would be detected, someone’s going to have to climb up and find a way inside.’

Lennox stepped forward. ‘Climb? You know that’s at least a thirty thousand foot ascent maybe more?’

I swallowed again. ‘Yes. But there are ways it can be done.’

‘We don’t have anyone capable of that.’

‘Then you’ll have to train someone.’ I took a breath, feeling the pressure starting to alleviate. ‘Look, we have six months before that ship is touching down on Earth, we have to use that time wisely. So you can build all the weapons you want, you can beg the Autobots for whatever technology you think will help, but that ship isn’t here because of them, it’s here because our planet is a hot bed for radiation and that’s what it feeds on. If the Autobots weren’t here, you wouldn’t think my plan was so ridiculous, we wouldn’t have many other options. At least this way, it limits the number of lives lost.’

The room was quiet, I wasn’t sure why, but both Lennox and Optimus were considering my plan.

‘Do you believe one human could do this?’ Optimus finally asked me.

I looked up at his blue eyes, noting the complexity of his face and no longer feeling as intimidated as I once did. ‘Yes, I do. There’s no limit to what a human being can endure. It’s mind over matter.’

Something in the Autobot’s expression changed, but I couldn’t tell what it was. Lennox and the president’s man, who I now knew as Smith, began arguing about the riskiness of the plan as well as the impossibility, but Lennox was able to convince him to keep it in reserve, a plan B. I caught the look Lennox gave me which indicated he had no intention of keeping it in reserve, as far as he was concerned, it was Plan A.

The meeting concluded and Lennox approached me as I gathered my folders up, taking me to one side.

‘You really think we can send a team into that ship undetected?’ He asked, still feeling shaky about the idea.

‘I do, but the ship has advanced capabilities to adapt to its surroundings, it would almost certainly adapt to detect organic life if there was enough of it penetrating its shields. So, a team? No. But one person would stand a much greater chance.’

Lennox let a tense breath go. ‘You realise what you're asking?’

‘I do.’ I felt the guilt in my chest. ‘But if it saves the world, isn’t it worth it?’

Lennox just chuckled, nodding. ‘If you were a soldier, I’d nominate you to make the climb. You got some guts.’

‘Thanks… I think.’ I frowned, pushing my glasses up again.

‘You should talk to Optimus before you leave, I’m sure he’d appreciate it.’

‘Oh, I couldn’t, I doubt he’d want anything to do with me.’ I shook my head, feeling the nervousness wash over me once again.

‘Dr Harding, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Optimus Prime, it’s that not every human being captures his attention like that.’ Lennox smiled. ‘I don’t know what it is about you, but if he can see something in you worth listening to, then I’m behind him all the way. If you need anything, call and I’ll see it done.’

Lennox nodded once and left me standing in the corner of the hanger, grasping my notes to my chest. I took a deep breath and tried to psyche myself up to say thank you to the great Autobot leader. What I, once again, didn’t notice, was that he was watching me from the same spot he’d stood for the entire meeting, it was like he knew where I was at any given moment.

I took another breath and walked over to him.

‘Um,’ good start. ‘I… wait.’

I suddenly realised that I should’ve been up in the balcony to make it easier for him to see me. I tried to climb the stairs quickly, but there was a lot of them and by the time I got to the top where people were still working away on computers, I probably could’ve said thank you and left.

‘Hi.’ I panted, not exactly sure of why that was my opening line.

‘Hello.’ Optimus chuckled a little.

I took another deep breath and pushed my glasses up. ‘I… I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the chance to speak. I know you’ve got a lot to deal with, so I appreciated the opportunity. And good luck for the mission.’ I nodded, having said what I wanted to say and went to leave.

‘I look forward to working along side you, Dr Jane Harding.’ He said as I was about to make my way back down the stairs. I looked at his hugely complex face and frowned. ‘I have requested that you be the one to lead the search for the human who could make such a climb. I will accept no other liaison.’

My heart was pounding so hard I thought I might have had a panic attack. ‘Me? But, I… I’m just an engineer, I’m not what you need.’

‘On the contrary, I have witnessed your actions in this room today, your compassion towards my kind, your bravery to stand up for what you believe. and your unwavering faith in your race. I have deemed you the only one capable of carrying out this task. I would be honoured to work along side you, Dr Jane Harding.’

I wasn’t sure if time, my heart or the world had stopped, but something was slowing down before going into overdrive.

‘You want me?’ I asked, suddenly hating that that was the first thing that came to mind.

‘I do.’ Optimus nodded.

I didn’t know what else to say, all I could do was nod and move out of the way of a soldier trying to get passed me on the balcony.

I descended the steps and felt those blue eyes on me the entire way out of the hanger. I turned back to see Optimus still watching me, he raised a hand in farewell and once again the air of intimidation was lifted. I smiled and headed toward the minibus taking the scientists back to our accommodation.

Slowly he’d get overprotective, wanting to become your guardian probably. He’d also talk with you more often, perhaps even flirt a little with his old doc jokes, make you giggle and admire your blushy face.

He’d take advantage of some alone time with you in the base to confess. He’d let you sit on his shoulder for the first time while he works and talk quietly to you.

Finally he’d spill his spark for you, apologize for being too rough on you at times and asking for a chance to change that.

He’s actually a very good kisser, you could smooch him all day. But NEVER in front of the others. PDA is a nono, especially when you get him flustered which you tend to because he cannot absorb so much beauty at once.

Four walls and a locked door is the best for him. He can admire you properly and have his way with you. He might seem vanilla but he can get kinky.

He gets flustered very easily so you’d get the memo that he likes you from the start.

It would take him a long time to confess which would result in him being a pure blushing mess. The moment you’d kiss him he’d probably almost faint.

He’s ok with PDA, he doesn’t care what anyone thinks. When he’s with you he’s in another dimension.

He’s a big snuggly wuggly teddy bear. Cuddling has become one of his fav things in the world because of you.

With that, he’d get overprotective and follow you around all the time, not letting you out of his sight.

Would always correct you that you should refer to him as “sir” or “lieutenant” or even “commander”. He loves it when you do it in bed especially, it REALLY gets him going. Also has a brat taming kink.

I wanted to request if it isn't a problem, so here it is:

Smokescreen and nb Cybertronian s/o who has a lot of work in general and takes little to no time to take care of themselves and Smokescreen tries to make them understand that they need time to relax (and for him too, ofc). They ask Optimus to take some load of work from them and even get them some cycles to spend time alone and with him

If you can headcannons, but if not tiny story (don't remember name, sorry) is great too

Smokescreen X Cybertronian Reader

You were Optimus Prime’s second in command and scientist. You worked tirelessly to make sure that the team had everything they needed. There wasn’t a time you weren’t working, other than the short little breaks you took to recharge. You often skipped refueling too- you’d put it back in the reserves room in the event there was an emergency. Everyone else needed it more than you, you thought.

One day, Smokescreen saw you putting back your portion of the energon. He was confused, but brushed it off. Surely it was nothing- maybe you’d refueled another time.

When he saw you do it again, a week later, he questioned you.

You stuttered out your answer. “I-I just refueled earlier. Don’t worry about it.”

Smokescreen grabbed your arm. “Don’t play dumb. I know you didn’t refuel last week- so what’s up?”

You pursed your dermas together and vented. “Others need it more than me- I’m hardly on the field anymore.”

“That’s a dumb idea!” His faceplates showed disappointment. “You need to refuel- or I’m telling Ratchet.”

You were already on thin ice with Ratchet this week for not recharging enough. You hesitantly picked up the cube. “Fine.”

You were going to your lab but he shook his head. “Nuh-uh. I want to make sure you drink it.”

You rolled your eyes and drank the energon in front of him, chugging it down quickly so you could get back to work. As soon as you finished, you began your walk back to your lab.

Smokescreen had to rush to keep pace with you. “Don’t you think you should take some time off? Just a few solar cycles even. You work wayyy too much- you almost remind me of Alpha Trion”

You got a little annoyed at him. “There’s kind of a war going on, Smokes. There’s no time for slacking. Unlike you- I have responsibilities I’m taking care of.”

The bot scowled at you and jumped in front of you. He grabbed your arms in his servos and made you look at him. “Don’t you see how you’re running yourself thin? I hate to see you like this!”

At a loss for words you merely blinked. You looked to the side at a shiny metal pipe to see your dull optics. You really hadn’t been able to rest at all. You’d been far too busy with projects and data gathering.

“I… suppose you’re right. But I can’t abandon my duties-”

“Get Optimus to take em! Or Ratchet.”

You nervously asked Ratchet and Optimus to take some of your workload, just a few days- and they seemed so relieved. You’d finally taken time off.

While you felt guilty, they assured you that there was nothing to worry about and that you should enjoy the time of low-Decepticon activity while you still had it. Who knows when they’d start causing mayhem again?

Smokescreen convinced you to try some human activities with you. You both went to see a movie at a drive in theater- you quickly left in disgust. They were playing what was called a ‘slasher’ film.

Next, he took you to a race. You were rusty and quickly fell to the back of the group. You didn’t like this activity much either. Activity after activity you tried at the behest of Smokescreen, and yet none of them actually felt relaxing.

Finally, he convinced you to go to one more place.

“How long will this take?” You huffed.

“It’s just up the hill! Come on!” Smokescreen grabbed your servo and a blue tint covered your faceplates. He dragged you up the hill. Right as you got to the top, your mouth dropped open in shock. You took a few steps forward in admiration.

The sun was beginning to set over the horizon. Pink, orange, and golden clouds drifted around the sky. Before you sat a large lake that reflected the sun. Flowers of all colors littered throughout the field.

“Like it?”

You almost couldn’t get out the words. “It’s beautiful…” You sat next to the now-sitting down Smokescreen.

You both just sat there in silence, enjoying each other’s company. As the moon rose into the sky to replace the sun, you took Smokescreen’s servos in yours.

!Pumpkin Picking With Tenya!

scenario:- pumpkin picking and a little walk with tenya!

pairing:- Tenya Iida x Gn!reader

for @tooloudarts hope you like it dude!

the two of you were assigned pumpkin picking duty and he was Determined to get the best pumpkins in the patch!

you borrowed eri's little wagon and set out at 10 am

why so early you ask?

he wanted to make sure that you guys had enough time to properly inspect all the pumpkins for defects

and you soon realised he really did mean EVERY pumpkin :')

you spent about an hour sorting through all of them and then finally he noticed you getting a little tired

"y/n is everything okay?"

besties really doesnt realise how long yall have been at it :')

you stop for a few minutes and he tells you how he thinks he's found a few ones that look like they'd make perfect TM jack o lanterns

pretty soon youre back at it and by about 1 pm ur done.

there were about 50 pumpkins in that field that day,you walked back with about 15

as you walked back he proudly told you how he had managed to get the best ones and how your class's jack o' lanterns would undoubtably be the best!

after a while he takes the wagon from your hand and holds your hand while his other pulls along the pumpkins.

if you get cold easily and he notices you shivering,he'll stop in his tracks and offer you his coat.

doesnt stop until you take it.

after that you just talk about random stuff

halloween costumes,what candy you guys like,what you've decided to carve on your pumpkins;anything

turns out kiri and denki had convinced him to dress up as optimus prime

he only went with it after he did his research and found out how much of an awesome leader and person(robot?) optimus was.

when you finally get back to the dorms he makes you hot chocolate and you both settle into the couch for a little movie marathon.

the pumpkins were nicely unloaded and assigned to the people whod wanted em btw.

after the movies he asked if you wanted to carve one together.

you ofc said yes

(he had planned a little heart with your initials in it,cheesy yes but sweet nontheless!)

Do I really have interesting ideas? I always find that so hard to believe because of how people get disinterested in talking to me so fast because I list out such elaborate things. Like this is just for things for crossovers. Like just to list a few that I think are cool, but never talk about too much:

- Rise!Donnie and Cybertronians : I have been getting more in tune with talking about this because I do see a few ppl loving this concept (more specifically with him interacting with the Decepticons). And I’m so glad they do because Donnie is such a smart kid. Why wouldn’t he be fascinated by all this tech they possess within their very being. He wants to know so much about them and figure out how to reverse engineer their tech. Just?? All around he loves the tech to death

- Drifters x Transformers: Okay, well, I know a lot of people haven’t seen the anime/manga Drifters, but it’s really fucking cool in my opinion and you should give it a watch. If not? Then you’re not gonna get what I’m gonna say since I’m adding the concept of putting different characters from TF and them appearing in a mysterious world. So like? Think of TFA Bumblebee and IDW Rodimus being able to see TFP Optimus Prime? A dramatic shift from the OP they have/had in their world. But they admire him so with how calming he is. Though it would be a bit scary to see IDW Megs here too. Not for Rodimus ofc, but Bee might get spooked by him.

- Resident Evil x DBZ: This one is crazy stupid because DBZ never makes sense, but stay with me on this. It’s a dumb concept, but wouldn’t it be cool if Dr. Gero created monsters out of a variety of viruses just to end up killing the whole world? Well,,, at least he does kill Goku, but so many other lives are lost in the process for this goal to be achieved.I’ll be honest there’s so much for this one, but I seem to have forgotten. But I know Cell has a whole role in this. As well as Bulma

The Climb

Story Masterlist

Chapter 11

Theo had been working on the suit I would wear on the climb, it was brilliant, lightweight, but would carry everything I needed to take with me. Thermal on the inside for when I got too high up, along with a mask attached to the inside with access to oxygen, a parachute compact enough that I shouldn’t have struggled with the extra weight, and several secure compartments to keep any supplies I needed. The most important thing about it, was it was free from anything electronic.

I couldn’t stop thinking about that night with Optimus though. Everything about it was beautiful. Learning about Spark-sharing, the endless possibilities for it to save lives and connect two Autobots for eternity; it was amazing. I wanted to know more, I wanted to learn everything I could about Optimus, I wanted to know what made him the way he was and what he wanted to do in the future.

We had gone out every evening that week to watch the sun go down and get to know each other. I told him about my childhood, he told me about his, we discussed menial things, things that made me feel normal and without masses of pressure being put on my shoulders.

It was the one thing putting a dampener on everything. I was behaving as if this was my last few days on earth. There was every possibility that it was, but I was trying to see past the ship arriving on Earth. I was trying to see the days afterwards, trying so hard to believe I might have been able to get back to my old life.

‘And I’ve made sure you’ve got some adrenaline shots in reserve.’ Theo suddenly said, placing the small silver case in front of me on the desk and breaking my thoughts. ‘I wouldn’t recommend taking any more than three and even that I think is pushing it, but you’ve got five to get you through the last leg.’

‘Thanks.’ I said, clearing my throat and pushing my glasses up my nose while I took some notes.

Theo sighed and sat in front of me. ‘Look, you can pull out of this, you know.’ My head snapped up to look at him. ‘If you think you won’t make it, you can always walk away, there’s no shame in it.’

‘How can you say that?’ I almost hissed, surprising Theo. ‘Theo, you and I have gone over the specs for that ship a thousand times, even the Autobots won’t get through that shielding, by the time they’ve found a way, it’ll be too late. I have to make the climb, if I don’t, if I don’t even try… that’s the end.’

Theo frowned a little. ‘And what about you? What happens to you afterwards?’

‘I don’t know.’

‘No? Because it feels like my friend is going up there with no intention of coming back.’ Theo snapped and left the lab.

I hadn’t realised how tense we’d both gotten in such a short space of time, but in a way, we were both right. No one else was going to make it up there, but I wasn’t the only one who thought it was a one way trip.

I could feel the eyes of not just the base, but everyone who knew about the mission, on me, constantly. Lennox tried to keep me focused on the wall and training. We kept it a little lighter in the remaining week, but my worry was that I had still yet to complete thirty thousand feet. I knew he was worried as well, and Epps struggled to hide his concern.

I left my lab early the night before the ship was due to arrive in Earth’s atmosphere. I didn’t dare turn on any news or listen to any outside noise, I needed all the focus I could get before the morning.

I could see almost all of the Autobots talking outside their hanger, Ironhide glanced over when Hound indicated I was standing across the base. He began making his way over and fear began to flood my limbs.

He kneeled down in front of me, and I could see kindness in his features the same way I saw it in all the Autobots. He really was on our side.

‘Lennox has told us that you have not made the thirty thousand foot climb in training yet.’ He said. I looked down disappointed in myself more than anything. ‘I’m sure Optimus will tell you the same thing tomorrow, but while I’ve got the chance to say it myself: we’re all counting on you, and we all believe the Earth is in no safer hands than yours. We’ll do our part and we’ll buy you all the time you need, you just make that climb. Good luck. We’ll be waiting for you at the bottom.’

I looked up at the weapons expert’s face. ‘Thank you.’ It was the best I could muster in the state I was in.

Ironhide nodded and stood to head back to the hanger where almost every Autobot was watching me. My heart began racing nervously, I needed some space to breathe.

The familiar sound of Optimus revved behind me, and it ignited something in the core of my being. I turned to see him opening the door for me to hop in. He didn’t say anything, but he didn’t need to. We had spent almost every night together on the hill side since our second date, we talked, he motivated me when I felt my fear getting the better of me, and he would make me come.

Optimus had found all my weaknesses and exploited them gloriously at every turn. The strangeness of the situation hadn’t even seeped into my mind until that night. I was, in the simplest terms, in love with a truck. He was so much more than that, I could feel the life surging through him, he wasn’t scrap metal, he wasn’t a robot, he was a beautiful creature that had more human qualities than one would have expected.

I had tried so hard not to fall for him, but he was rather charming when he wanted to be, he listened, he learned about me with a genuine curiosity, and he thought I was beautiful as well. What more could I have asked for?

‘I sense you are in need of something different on the eve of battle.’ Optimus said as we arrived at the same spot at the top of the hill.

I sighed, getting out and listened to him transform into his full form, kneeling as he always did to speak to me.

‘What can I do for you?’ He asked and I felt like breaking there and then. Was he really asking me that? Was he really that kind?

‘Can you turn back time so that I never came here?’ I joked, but Optimus’s face dropped.

‘I would not want to.’ He said, sincerely. ‘If you never came here, we would never have met.’

I let my gaze drop to the floor for a moment. ‘I know.’ I whispered. ‘I’m terrified.’

‘You would be foolish not to be. But the fact that you are willing to give everything to save your planet anyway, that is the mark of a true warrior.’

I shook my head. ‘I’m not a warrior.’ I told him. His head tilted confused. ‘I’m an engineer. A scientist. My greatest strength will always be my mind, but even that has it’s limits. What if I can’t do this?’

Optimus thought for a moment, looking out at the beautiful orange sun as it began to descend in the sky.

‘What is it to be human?’ He asked, making me frown.

‘Erm…’ I half laughed. ‘I don’t think I could sum it up in a few words. It’s about making mistakes, getting up when you get knocked down, it’s about connection with others, it’s about trying. I suppose those are the main points. Trying.’

‘I have learned much from you, Jane.’ He leaned closer. ‘But the most important thing I have come to understand about the human race: there is no limit to your potential. My body felt like it was about to take off. ‘Yes.’ I breathed. Yes, I would fight for humanity. Yes, I would fight for what I believed. Yes, I would fight for tomorrow.

Optimus sat with me for the rest of the night until the sun disappeared behind the horizon. It would be a long trip the next day, but if I had Optimus Prime on my side, then I knew I could do it.

I couldn't make my face react to my emotions, with the AllSpark currently in control, but if I could, I'm certain it would look something like Optimus's right now, stunned shock.

"H-Hatchlings, my lady?" he asked.

"~Yes, the last of my children. Created during the Battle of Mission City, though not intentionally.~" As She spoke, images flipped past my mind's eye. Me running down the street, a car coming right at me, dodging left only to run right into the hood of the Escalade, crashing to the sidewalk, the pulse of AllSpark energy, the screams behind me as I took off again and a vending machine, an X-box, and the Escalade came to life.

"That-That was a month ago!" I managed to break through and say. "How can we be certain they're still alive?"

"~Hatchlings are sturdier than you would think,~" the AllSpark said, taking over again. "~As well, their instinct is to hide until a suitable mentor appears, so they have kept out of the humans' sight.~"

"Slag, real hatchlings?" Barricade asked and I/She looked up at him. "How do you expect to find them?"
