Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
This Dogs in a Pile cover of "Ophelia" by The Band has, and I never thought I'd say this, a badass melodica solo. Please allow me five minutes of your time to instantly improve your night
Okay but as a literature nerd I fucking LOVE that the new Ghost shirt design is a John Everett Millais reference. The pre-Raphaelites were a group of poets and artists we got to discuss and study when we were studying Victorian literature during my second year at uni and I was so fascinated by them that I wrote one of my assignments on the male gaze within Dante Gabriel Rossetti's poems Soul's Beauty and Body's Beauty (and their accompanying paintings).
More than that, though, it also fascinates me as a Shakespeare fan that Ophelia was chosen. Ophelia, who either is driven mad or falls into a deep, inconsolable despair in Hamlet because of the way she is used by the titular character and suffers bc of the political games within the family. I talked about this with someone on discord and we both agreed that this feels very Copia.
Could Ophelia's tragic fate within Hamlet be a hint towards Copia's? Or what about events in the broader play? Will the events that unfold within Ghost lore running up to Copia's departure from the band mirror the events in the play? After all, he's already arguably haunted by his father's ghost, just as Hamlet was. And when he cries out "no" and runs off the stage during Rats, could that not be argued that it's a sign of him beginning to spiral into despair? Will we see him dripping poison (literally) into Saltarian's ear in a plot to kill him? (I say Saltarian bc Imperator would take the role of Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, while Saltarian would be Claudius)
But hey. That's just a theory. Maybe it has no meaning at all and it's just a cool shirt design.
Party line up time YUHHHH. So it's about time I gave a brief about the so called wanderers.
Their party was formed at none other then a tavern. None of them seemed to get along their motives questioned by one another quite often. But in a weird turn of events when they panicked they worked well together.
Our DM use to lovingly refer to the party as the band of fuck ups. Mainly because we never came up with a party name until after the campaign finished where it turned into a fun animatic series on my YouTube.
Turns out to be a very fitting name considering the amount of fuck ups accumulated throughout the game and yet by sheer luck the party survived, successfully delivering Strahd to his final moments.

Thinking about how, when I first listened to the Lunineers’ Cleopatra album, “Ophelia” or “Angela” didn’t stick with me. Not “Sleep on the Floor, or “My Eyes,” though they’re all in the same vein of ‘sad song wondering about what could have been’
What stuck with me was “Cleopatra,” and especially because of why I was listening to that album — I listened because someone else liked them. Someone else, across the country, liked the Lumineers. So I listened.
Wholeheartedly in the vein of “analyzing and romanticizing my life like a novel,” I think there’s more weight to hear the but I must admit it, that I would marry you in an instant/damn your wife, I'd be your mistress just to have you around than just what they said. they said more to me, with the late for the love of my life, with the when I die I’ll be on time.
But I read the script/and the costume fit/so I’ll play my part.
I’unno. Maybe I’m overthinking. I’m most likely overthinking and adding weight to something that’s just… that. A song. A sad one, but a song. Even so, I like the weight. I’ll always associate “Cleopatra” with that person, not just for its meaning, and also because they love that artist. I’ll associate every single Lumineers song with them because of it.
Going insane I'm trying to put more songs on my iPod and a band I really like only has their music on Spotify I can't rip their music from YOUTUBE OH MY GOD
