This legacy was made because I love drama and farm life, so why not have both? I love challenges with long backstories, so be ready for paragraphs! This challenge requires the following packs: Horse Ranch, Cottage Living, Cats and Dogs. If you do not own one or more of these packs, I'll include some base-game alternatives, but Horse Ranch is needed, considering this challenge is focused around the pack.

Gen One- Romantic to Recluse

You are the first of generations of dramatic, over-the-top, animal-loving sims. So naturally, you possess all of these traits and more. Your sim has lived in Henford-On-Bagley with their secluded but lovable uncle for their entire life. It's only when their uncle passes away of old age that your sim begins to question why they're even in Henford anymore. Your spontaneous sim quickly packs up, quits their job as a gardener, and heads for (not so) greener pastures. Immediately after moving to Chestnut Ridge, a certain sim catches their eye and your sim being themselves, quickly pursues this dazzling sim. Not long after, they are left heartbroken, and impulsively rescue a horse to make them feel better. Humans aren't trustworthy anymore, but horses can be! The horse, although your sims new best friend, is not really a money maker.

So they gather up a few loose simoleons and enter the growing market of mini goats and sheep. Your sim is thriving! Well, not exactly financially. Or emotionally. So, having forever closed off their heart to humans after a devastating heartbreak, your sim adopts a child. Wait, what? Your sim, now a recluse of their own, the crazy sim of Chestnut Ridge... adopted a child? Not even a baby? Even if your now older sim has well, not spoken to another humanoid soul in what seems like a lifetime, they need someone to help them with the chores around the farm. And, your sim may never admit to it, but they're starting to get lonelier every day.

This child, although a little stubborn at first, is just what your sim needed. They shower them in gifts and affection, giving them anything they could ever want (at least, within the budget). When this child grows old enough to take over the farm, your sim gives them one last gift: a horse of their own.

Rules

-Aspiration can be anything, although I'd suggest Country Caretaker. You cannot have a job besides odd jobs.

- Your sim must have the romantic and loves outdoors traits.

- If you play with mods/cheats, you may cheat the gardening skill to 4.

- Your sim starts in Palomino Junction.

- Your sim must never have more then 5,000 simoleons.

- Your sim must only make money through odd-jobs and mini sheep and goats.

- Your sim must have a perfect relationship with every farm animal they own.

-Your sim must pursue another sim from Chestnut Ridge, and date said sim for one sim week. After this, you can have them breakup anyway you want, just make sure its scarring enough that your sim never wants to love romantically again.

-At this point, your sim wants no human contact. You can cheat their traits so romantic is replaced by unflirty.

- Your sim avoids others at all costs, they must never speak to another human sim besides their child until they're an elder.

- Never enter a horse tournament, and never let any of your horses skills go above 3, except for temperament which should be maxed.

- Have at least 3 mini goats/ sheep in your household at all times.

-Adopt a child half-way through your sims adult life-stage. This can be exact or just when you feel the time is right.

- Anything in your child's whims that require things to be bought, buy it for them. (Unless it is over 5,000 simoleons, which is highly unlikely)

- Buy your child the best horse in the market when they age up into a young adult.

OPTIONAL:

-Max the gardening and animal training skills.

-Always have 2 dogs/cats in your household at all times.

Gen 2- Best of the Best

Your sim has grown up with everything they could ever ask for (within 5,000 simoleons, that is) yet they've always wanted their own success. When they were adopted as a child, they rebelled against their adoptive parent. Your sim had gone through the foster system many times. But never had your sim felt so at home in Chestnut Ridge! They quickly warm up to their new parent and form a close bond with them. Your sim is spoiled rotten as they grow, but they never let it change them. They've always been hardworking and goal-oriented, that's not going to change!

When your sim's parent gives them a shiny new horse for their 18th birthday, an idea comes to mind that could finally give them what they've always wanted! Your sim is going to be the ultimate horse champion and make enough money to give their parent an easy life. They move out of their childhood home and use the money they've saved from years of working teen jobs to purchase the largest plot of land in Chestnut Ridge. They quickly get to work training their horse to be the best horse Chestnut Ridge has ever seen!

Along the way, your sim meets one of their biggest horse racing rivals. This sims horse is faster, stronger, and smarter than your sims! That fact makes your sim's blood boil. They do everything they can to ruin their rival sims' life; all's fair in horse championships, right? Eventually, they exhausted all their resources to destroy their rival's chances of winning. Discouraged, your sim halts all of their horse's training and learns to cross-stitch for a living. Your sim's parent finds out about this and shows up at your sim's house fuming. They give them the pep-talk of the century and tell them that no one can get in the way of their dreams.

Your sim is blown away! They turn over a new leaf, continuing their horse racing career. They meet up with their rival and actually learn they have a lot in common! They become best friends, and maybe something more? As your sim grows older, they accomplish their dreams of racing in the ultimate horse championship, even if their rival turned partner wins first instead of them. Your sim marries their partner in the biggest, most extravagant wedding ever! Your sim was never one for theatrics, but their partner is, and how can they say no to them? Your sim lives the dream with their spouse and plenty of children, teaching each and every one of them that dreams and love can go hand in hand. Oh, your sim and their spouse's horses? They have kids too.

Rules

-Have all A's throughout school

-Complete the Championship Rider aspiration.

-On your sims birthday into a young adult, move them out with their horse into Red Roan Field.

-Your sims horse must max all skills.

-Your sim has to practice a skill with their horse at least once a day.

-Max the horse riding skill.

-Meet your rival sim and just make them mad. Get creative with it!

-After a while of tormenting this poor sim, your sim takes up cross-stitching and must max the skill.

-Compete in every horse race except for the ultimate horse championship until you marry your rival sim.

-Your sim's parent must meet with them and give them a talking-to about their dreams.

-Begin a friendship with your sims rival, and eventually a romantic relationship.

-Max the charisma skill.

-Make 5 best friends.

-When your sim's partner gets married and moves in with them, they will both participate in the ultimate horse championship. Make sure the spouse, not your sim, wins! (You can ensure this by not maxing out all your horse's skills until after the championship, but maxing out all of the spouse's horse skills.)

-Your sim must have a very big wedding, with all the friends they've accumulated over the years.

-Your sim should have more than 2 kids.

-The amount of kids you have is the number of foals your sims and their spouse's horses should have too! (If you can, cheat the household size so if you had a lot of children, each can have a horse!)

-Make over 100,000 simoleons by the end of this sims life, and if your sims parent is still alive, give them 50,000 of those simoleons.

Gen 3- Forever Family

This sim grew up with everything they could ever want... except for the attention they always craved from their workaholic parents who seemed to love eachother more than their children. Your sim didn't want a horse, they wanted their parents! When this sim ages into a teen, as the eldest child, they rebel. They learned that love only caused pain, and that their need for love could be rewarded by dating whoever they could. This sim breaks hearts left and right, leaving no heart untouched. Never have they felt so free!

Until, that is, they catch the eye of their younger siblings partner. Your sim doesn't know what they should do... keep living their life free of strings and betray their sibling? Or leave their sibling to have to endure the pain and suffering that comes from love?

Your sim ultimately decides to betray their sibling to hopefully make them understand that in the end they all leave for someone new. They pursue their siblings partner and convince them to leave your sims sibling. Your sim and their new partner date for a little bit, and eventually have a heated break up. Your sim never recovers the relationship they once had with their sibling, but they do save them from all the infedelity and hurt that your sim edured instead of their sibling with this horrible partner.

After years of dating around, your sim reaches young adulthood and decides to move to the city in hopes of a new start. They get a part-time job as a barista, your sim never really knew what they wanted to do in life, and hopefully will be able to find a fulltime job as they learn more about themselves. Your sim finds themself at a karaoke bar with a couple of highschool friends, singing their hearts out. Singing ignites a new passion in your sim, and they decide that they want to pursue it. They enter the entertainer career and never look back! One of their longtime high school friends eventually asks them out on a date.. and what do you know? They hit it off! Per your sims request, they take it slow and finally get married when they both become adults.

Your sim realizes that love can't be all that bad, right? They have 2 beautiful children with their spouse and live in San Myshuno until they are both old and gray. Every week they have a family night, and every morning your sim tells their children that they love them with all their hearts so they never have to feel the way your sim felt as a child. When your sim becomes an elder, they reconcile with their younger sibling, who moves in with them after a messy divorce with a little infant in hand.

Your sim dies fulfilled, surrounded by all the family and friends they acquired over their lifetime. Nothing could mean as much as a family that loved them.

Rules

-Start this gen when the heir turns into a teen

-Your heir must be the oldest, with one of their younger siblings just behind them in age. (So that they can be teens together!)

-When your sim is a teen, they must start the Villainous Valentine aspiration and complete it as a young adult.

-Your sim must date a new sim every week as a teen.

-Your sim must have a perfect relationship with their younger sibling until they are a teen.

-Your sims sibling must get a partner, who your sim starts pursuing.

-Your sim must convince their siblings partner to break up with them.

-Your sim and their sibling must have a negative relationship bar after this. (You can cheat it or make them get into a huge argument.)

-Your sim must break up with their new partner before graduation.

-Your sim must move to San Myshuno and meet up with their high school friends at a karaoke bar.

-Your sim must start the entertainer career.

-Max the singing and charisma skills.

-Begin dating one of your sims high school friends.

-Marry them when you both turn into adults.

-After marriage, move back to Chestnut Ridge.

-Reach level 8 of the entertainer career.

-Have 2 kids with your spouse.

-Have family game night with your kids once a week.

-Have perfect relationships with your kids and spouse.

-Go on weekly dates with your spouse.

-Die during a family gathering. (It is possible if you wait for the age bar to be full and then keep having family gatherings, or you can just cheat them to die of old age during a reunion.)

Gen 4- Drown in Your Sorrows (warning- this one is sad)

You lived the perfect life. A loving family, constant entertainment from your parent, on an idyllic farm. Growing up, you weren't the brightest, but you were amazing at talking. You could make any friend you wanted! And while you loved this, you hated how dumb you felt compared to your friends. When you tell your stay-at-home parent, they dust off an old cookbook and teach you some- maybe unhealthy- coping skills. Cooking quickly became one of your favorite hobbies. You were good at it, and everyone loved your food. When you reach high school, you catch the eye of many popular kids who pull you into their circle. You date a few of them but find yourself disappointed with them, why doesn't anyone feel right?

You push yourself into student council to find a purpose, but that doesn't help either. It just leaves you with more shallow friends who you used to adore but can see right through now. Eventually, you graduate, with nothing to your name but a few baking championship awards. Your parents say you can stay at home, but you feel like you need to prove that you are smart enough. So you head to college, start a degree in culinary arts, and dorm with some brand new people.

In college, you discover nectar. You love how it tastes and makes you feel. If you drink enough of it, all your worries drift away! You quit your degree, move back home, and start a small nectar-making business. Eventually, you get enough to purchase a small house of your own in Chestnut Ridge, but it feels so empty without a family. All the dates you've been on have ended hollow.

When you go to deliver some nectar to a client, you stay much longer than anticipated... and end up having a one-night stand. That night leaves you with unpaid nectar and a positive pregnancy test. This child you have only reminds you of your failed attempt at a happy family, one you could never have for yourself. You push this child onto your parents and drown yourself in your nectar and tears.

You end up dying an early, unfortunate death. All you wanted was love, why did it have to end like this?

Rules

-Be able to get pregnant

-Have a B or lower in school your entire life.

-Make dinner for your family when you are old enough every Saturday night.

-Have 5+ good friends as a child and teen

-Become a member of a popular club as a teen

-Date 3 of your good teen friends

-Become a member of the student council

-Max the charisma, cooking, and nectar-making skill

-Complete the nectar-making aspiration

-Move to Britchester and start a degree at either university in culinary arts

-Move into a dorm and make 3 best friends among them

-Drop out halfway through your degree

-Move back in with your parents

-Move into your own house after making enough money on your own

-Have a kid with a local town member

-Turn the child over to your parents

-Die as an adult/young adult

Gen 5- Blooming Still

One of your parents left you to your grandparents when you were too young to remember them, and the other- well, you don't even know who the other is. But you never let this stop you. Your parents didn't define you, especially the lazy drunk who left their only family. You still think about this parent sometimes, effortlessly fuming whenever you do. Your grandparents tried to tell you their side of the story, but you'd never fully listen. You'd been instilled with your grandparent's values and knew that you'd be the one to get it right.

You picked up your grandparent's hobbies as you aged, some being gardening, baking, and knitting. Your only real friend you trusted was the only child down the street, who seemed to be as lonely as you used to be. You are not much of a talker yourself, but it's effortless with your new friend. You only need them and your grandparents.

When you reach your teenage years, tragedy strikes. Your beloved grandparent has passed, and now the other is left grieving. You are the only one who can care for your other grandparent while saving up for university. The pressure quickly piles up from high school, jobs, your grandparent, the dying farm, and your only friend who has lately become distant.

You break down at your friend's front door and luckily they're the one to answer. They quickly usher you in and hug you tightly, listening to all your burdens. Your friend being back to normal gives you a breath of fresh air and you ask them why they had been so indifferent to you for so long. Before you can comprehend, your friend leans in and whispers something in your ear. You gasp, then lean in and kiss them.

Your best friend had been hiding a secret... they were a spellcaster! They had been distancing themselves so you would not be in danger if someone from their world were to become a threat. You are spellbound. The stress is less with your friend by your side now, and when you graduate, they tell you that they are going to the same university as you. As you get older and your other grandparent dies, the sadness is lessened by your now-fiancee and their promise that you could be a part of their wonderful world, doing the thing you loved most- gardening beautiful flowers. When you graduate, you convert the run-down farm into an extravagant flower oasis, only this time the farm thrives even more when you learn a few spells yourself.

Rules

-Only have one friend (that isn't your grandparents and random acquaintances) throughout your childhood and teenage years

-Max the gardening skill

-Lower the friendship level with your childhood friend to acquaintance when you age into teens

-Have one of your grandparents die (use cheats if they die too early/ haven't died yet)

-Reach level 5 of the knitting skill

-Reach level 7 of the baking skill

-Complete the goal-oriented aspiration as a teen

-Work a part-time job

-Have all As and be an honor student

-Makeup with your friend before you reach young adulthood (time this however you like)

-Go to Britchester with your new partner and complete the Academic aspiration
