A much needed break
Olivia benson x fem!reader
Warnings: smut
Olivia hasn’t come home yet and you were worried. She hasn’t been home in days, saying something about finishing some paperwork she was extremely behind on. Of course you understand how important work is for her, even if she’s just doing paperwork, but a lot of the times, she overworks herself to where she exhausts herself. That’s why you are going to the precinct to check on her and make sure she’s okay.
You walked in holding a container of leftovers for her since she probably only had coffee and junk food from the vending machines. Walking to where her desk is, you see Olivia typing away on her computer. She looks up when she realizes someone was in the same room as her and her face immediately brightens when she sees you. “Sweetheart? What are you doing here?” She questioned as she stood up from her chair and walked over to you, wrapping her arms around your waist. “I wanted to come check on you. I brought you dinner too.” You said and she smiles as she gave you a loving kiss on the top of your head.
“Thank you babygirl.” She said and you leaned up to give her nose a gentle kiss which made her blush. She walked back over to her desk with her arm around you and her dinner in her other hand. She sat back down in her chair and she patted her lap for you which you gladly sat on. She was explaining to you some stuff that happened in the past few cases as she ate her dinner. “I’m sorry I haven’t came home. I know I should have. I’m just super stressed and I know that’s not an excuse. Trust me. I miss you so much sweetheart.” She sighed as she explained. You know how hard for her it is to be so open, but she’s been letting down her walls more and more for you.
“I understand baby. Work is important to you and I get that.” You explained as you ran your fingers through her brown hair that was slowly growing out. “What did I do to deserve you?” She asked with a true loving look in her eyes and you blushed. “I should be asking you the same thing.” You shot back at her with a smirk and she smirked back at you. She leaned up and took your lips in hers in a passionate but loving kiss. You moan softly against her lips and wrapped your legs around her waist until your clit hit her pants buckle and you let out a little moan again. She pulled back slightly and gave you a evil smirk.
“What’s the matter babygirl? Are you needy right now?” She asked against your ear and you whimpered loudly which gave her the answer but she wanted you to say it. “Say it sweetheart.” She demanded and you blushed bright red. “P-please livia…I need you so bad…it’s been a week since you fucked me and I need you so much.” You begged her and you saw her eyes darken with lust which made you even wetter. “As you wish darling.” She stated and she bunched up your sundress so she could see your underwear that was practically ruined in your fluids. “My oh my…look at this pretty pussy…”. She stated in a low voice which made you feel hot all over.
She slowly runs her hands over your body and yanks your dress off over your head. You giggle at her frantic antics and she smiles at the sound. Her eyes rake over your soft and gorgeous body, admiring it. “Come on sweetheart. Rub that pretty pussy on my belt buckle until you cum. You whimpered and started grinding onto her buckle and moaned at the sensation. Olivia’s hands are on your hips guiding you as she watches your pussy. She bites her lips and feels herself drooling at the look of you. “Come on darling…keep using mommy…that’s it…”. She praised you and you felt your legs shaking as you felt yourself already cumming. You let out a loud strung out moan and cummed all over her belt and pants.
She immediately pushed the chair out of the way and got down on her knees and buried her face in your warm, throbbing, wet pussy. You squealed at how fast she attached her lips onto you and you screw your eyes shut at the intense pleasure you are feeling. “F-fuck! Olivia!” You moaned out and she threw one of your legs on her shoulder and entered her warm, long tongue deep into your throbbing hole and your knees buckled almost falling but Olivia didn’t let that happen. “Fuck! Fuck!” You moaned out and soon enough you were cumming again but this time into her waiting mouth.
“You always taste so good. I’m addicted to your pussy sweetheart.” She admitted and you smiled at her. She gently laid you out on her desk and sat back on her chair as she dove back into you again. You whimpered loudly at the sensitivity that was rising but all you could think in this moment was your badass, loving, detective girlfriend eating you out like she was having her last meal on earth. She penetrated her tongue into you again and started rubbing your clit with her thumb. You were arching your back and your legs were shaking as you orgasmed again. She pulled away from your shaking legs and smiled down at you. “You’re so beautiful Angel.” She said sweetly and you gave her a tired smile. She licks her lips and wipes the edge of her mouth with her index finger and thumb.
“Do you think you could give me one more sweetheart?” She asked you as she gives you gentle kisses all over your face as she gently rubs over your body. You smiled and nodded at her but she raises her eyebrow and you know. “Yes liv…I can do one more…I want to be a good girl for you.” You stated and she gave you a soft look. “You are always my good girl sweetheart.” She said softly as she looked at you with such an adoring look. She gave you a long, loving kiss to your lips and reached into her drawer to pull out her harness that was attached with a 7 inch dildo that she loves to use on you. “You ready babygirl?” She asked you. “Yes…please…” you whined out and she chuckled at you.
She rests her hands on either side of your body on her desk as she gently slides in your pussy. She bottoms out and waits for you to say that you are ready before she starts. “G-green livia…” you stated and she gave you a loving smile. Olivia pumps into you a few times and you moaned out at the feeling of being full. “That’s it babygirl…such a good girl for mommy…” she panted out as her pace quickens with every thrust. Both of her hands went up to your bare breast and started pinching your rosy pink nipples to give you extra stimulation. With every thrust, your breast moved against Olivia’s hand and that made her go crazy. She started fucking you faster and faster as she removed her hands and replaced them with her face. “A-ah! Mommy!” You moaned out and held her head with one hand as your other hand was on her back, bunching up her shirt material.
“I-I’m gonna c-cum!” You exclaimed and her eyes went up to your face and she gave you that look which meant don’t you even think about it. You whined and she gently bit your nipple in response as she reached down with her hand to start rubbing your clit with her fingers. After a few moments of her fucking you and you begging her to let you cum, she said one simple word that made you lose it. “Cum.” She demanded and you arched your back off her desk and squirted all over her pants and some on her shirt. She smiled and gently pulled out which made you whine at the feeling of being full. “Hey shhhh babygirl…it’s okay..I got you…” she said softly as she scoops you up into her arms and cradles you against her.
She sits back down in her office chair and carefully helps you get dressed while not putting back on your panties since they are ruined. After getting dressed, you snuggle up on her as she finishes some things on her computer before y’all go home and rest. “You did so well for me sweetheart. I’m so proud of you. When we get home we will do our aftercare and we can do whatever you want princess.” She explained and you looked up at her with an exhausted expression and gave her a gentle nod in response. “I love you sweetheart.” She said. “I love you most Olivia.” You said back to her.
A/n: I know this smut wasn’t good but I was horny and I’m on my period and I needed to get this out sldmdkckdksosk. Remember Christmas/winter requests are still open! Also remember to stay hydrated and rest! I love y’all!

Connected Souls
Olivia Benson x Reader
Tumblr media
Authors note: It is very short and it has a lot of talk compiled into a marriage vow. More dialogue than action, I'm sorry but it needed to get out of my head
ᕚ---ᕘ
„In the midst of chaos and despair, there existed a connection that transcended the boundaries of ordinary human bonds. It was not the hellish trials we endured that forged the unbreakable link between us, but rather an extraordinary moment of unspoken understanding,“ Olivia Benson began to speak, her voice gentle but full of conviction as she stood across from you in an elegant, tailored suit, beaming from ear to ear.
Her eyes shone with tiny tears, her rough hands holding yours tightly to feel the warmth and familiarity that emanated from that simple touch. Looking into your teary eyes, she continued to talk. „We found ourselves standing on the precipice of darkness multiple times, confronted by a force so malevolent it seemed insurmountable. It was in that harrowing moment that your eyes met mine, ablaze with an inexplicable fervor, a flame of defiance flickering amidst the shadows. In your eyes, I saw not just pure determination, but genuine madness; a madness that dared to challenge the very essence of evil. -Let´s show this fucker fear-, you declared, your voice cutting through the cacophony of fear and despair.“
Her words were punctuated by a laugh of her own as she thought back to the time the two of you were held captive by William Lewis. A gentle applause and shrill laughter from the guests accompanied her before they quieted down once more and were overwhelmed by the beauty of this moment. The love between Olivia and you was felt not just in words, but also in the way you looked at each other - with a deep, unwavering connection that went far beyond mere words.
„Those words, uttered with a convition that sent shivers down my spine, reverberated in the air. In that instant, I understood the depth of your resolve, the unwavering courage that resided within you. It was not just the audacity of your words, it was the unwavering belief, the sheer madness of taking on an unimaginable terror head-on. And in that moment, I knew that I had found a kindred spirit, a companion in the battle against the darkness that threatened to engulf us.“
Olivia's bright smile reflected the love that burned in her heart, her gaze fixed on you, full of affection and respect. Your eyes spoke volumes that only you could understand. Although words were unnecessary at that moment because your love was so deep that it existed beyond language, it was still important for the brunette to communicate her love to you.
„The pact that has bound us ever since and accompanied us here, was not made in rationality. It was a silent vow exchanged amidst the chaos, an unspoken agreement that bound our fates together. As we faced down pure embodiment of malevolence, I felt an inexplicable sense of certainty. A profound understanding that we were stronger together than apart.“
By now the golden light of the sun was so low in the horizon that the faces of the guests glowed softly. The scent of fresh flowers and a hint of lavender lingered in the light summer breeze as Olivia stood on the elegant altar arrangement decorated with a fragrant rose gate and ivy, trying to turn the words in her head so that they sounded like normal sentences. She tried to concentrate on the scene to avoid her nervousness, enveloping the natural scenery in its beauty. A gentle stream babbled in the distance.
„In your eyes, I glimpsed the reflection of my own defiance, my own willingness to fight until my last breath. Together, we became more than just allies. We became a force to be reckoned with, a beacon of hope amidst the overwhelming despair,“ she swallowed hard and looked down, your index finger gently stretched under her chin so you could look into her teary but still beautiful eyes. „I realized that I could never turn my back on you, for in your madness, I found my own courage mirrored back at me.“
As the ceremony progressed, the guests embraced the love that was in the air and smiled as Olivia and you finally exchanged vows, her lips gently pressed against yours. The sound of happiness and joy filled the garden as you lost yourself in this unforgettable moment, surrounded by the love of your closest friends and family.
„And so, side by side, we ventured into the heart of darkness, unyielding and unafraid since then. It was not just a battle we fought, it was a testament to the extraordinary power of our love. We stood together as we stand here now. Not because we had to, but because we chose to not be broken by everything life has thrown at us. We will not be broken. Our love will never be a weakness because in our love lies the strength of the world. I love you.“
It was not just a wedding; it was the union of your two souls, meant for each other. And in this garden, under the warm glow of the sun and the scent of flowers, you swore eternal love and loyalty to each other as your hearts beat in unison.

Olivia Benson x Reader
I had a request for jealous/protective Olivia but tumblr deleted it, if it was you that requested it, here it is!!
Tumblr media
Olivia opens the door for you, following you inside the warm coffee shop. You both settle into the line, looking over the menu.
“I’m gonna run to the restroom real quick,” Olivia tells you, turning to walk away.
“Wait, you want your usual?” You ask, grabbing her hand to slow her down.
“Yes, thank you,” she smiles, pecking your cheek before walking away. You shuffle forward with the line, watching the people in front of you leave the nearly empty coffee shop as soon as they got their drinks.
“Can I buy you your coffee?” A voice asks, just as you finish ordering. You turn around to find a tall man who looked charming but in a way you were sure was an act.
“I’m perfectly capable, thank you,” you shrug him off and hand the cashier your money. You thank her, walking quickly over to wait for your drinks and distance yourself from the man.
“Maybe you’d like to go to dinner sometime?” He tries once again, sliding up just a bit too close for comfort. His height leaves him looming over you and effectively boxing you in.
“I’m flattered but I’m really not interested,” you try to explain, a bit of panic starting to rise when you can’t find a path to get away from him. The coffee shop is empty, save for the barista who’s focused on making lattes, so there’s no one else to witness the interaction. Just as he starts talking again, you feel an arm wrap tightly around your waist.
“Hey baby,” Olivia smiles and kisses you on the cheek, as if marking her territory.
“Who’s this?” She asks brightly, clearly sensing how uncomfortable you seem with the situation. Her badge glints in the light from where it sits on her hip, but he seems undeterred.
“Well I was just asking the lady to dinner, but I can handle both of you, I’m into that,” he smirks sleazily. He reaches out like he’s going to touch you, but before you can blink Olivia’s got his arm twisted behind his back, pinning him to a table.
“Yeah? You into handcuffs too, buddy?” She growls.
“No! I- uh, I mean, uh-,” he fumbles to answer, making Olivia roll her eyes.
“Get out,” she spits as she releases his wrist. He scrambles out of the shop, not even bothering to get his coffee.
“Damn Liv,” you smile, watching her face go pink. She grabs your drinks, slipping the barista a tip to make up for the commotion.
“Are you okay?” Olivia asks as she hands you your cup as you walk towards the door.
“Yeah, I’m alright,” you answer, opening the door for her and following her out. You take her hand as you walk down the street, snuggling in close to her as your breath puffs in front of you.
“Thank you for that,” you nudge her with your elbow and her hand slips from yours, wrapping around to pull you closer as you stop at a crosswalk.
“You don’t have to thank me for that, he was a creep. No one gets to make my girl uncomfortable,” she tells you, planting a kiss in your hair as she holds you.
“Also it was really hot,” you smirk as she takes a sip of her coffee, giggling as she coughs in surprise.
“You wanna pin me down like that when we get home?” You ask casually, knowing how it’ll effect her.
“Oh you are in for it,” she grins, pulling you across the street as soon as the sign flashes, your laughter echoing behind you.

Lucky Number Four
Tumblr media
Olivia Benson x reader Warnings: language, alcohol consumption, smut. Written originally for @alexusonfire but I took like, fucking six months to finish it so I'm using it for the "praise" square on @thatesqcrush 's kinktober!
Olivia knew the moment that she saw you in that little black dress there was no way she wasn’t going to invite you up to her apartment for a nightcap. Dinner had been your fourth date, and things seemed to be going swimmingly so far, so she doubted you would turn her down. You’d met a few weeks ago through a dating app, and while that wasn’t exactly either of your styles, you both had a good feeling about it and decided to trust your gut.
Date number one was coffee, nervous at the start, but after an hour you got a second round and wandered through Central Park, hand in hand by the end of it, a gentle kiss laid on your cheek and the promise of a second date.
Date number two was a movie, full of jump scares that you did your best not to shriek at, burying yourself into Olivia’s neck as she chuckled quietly, her arm protectively wrapping around you. In an attempt to calm down, and to not say goodnight yet, you went for drinks at a bar around the corner. After a couple of cocktails, you took the plunge when she dropped you off, leaning in to kiss her softly. She happily surprised you with a grin when the kiss broke, and she tugged you back in for another one, already wanting to feel your lips on hers again. Cheeks flushing, unable to stop smiling, the two of you said a quiet goodnight before making your separate ways.
Date number three Olivia had invited you over to her place to make you dinner. You were surprised that for a cop, she was someone who had an extensive menu of things she was incredibly good at cooking. She’d made a full spread for you, fresh beet and goat cheese salad, ricotta spinach stuffed chicken breast and the creamiest mashed potatoes you’d ever tasted. You helped with the dishes, little laughs and jokes surrounding the two of you before you settled on the couch with fresh glasses of wine. This time the movie lay forgotten, as a series of small kisses led into a rather steamy make out session. The unlucky part of that night was Olivia’s phone going off, getting called into a case and she very reluctantly said goodnight hours earlier than either of you wanted.
Tonight, she’d made sure that there was no way she was getting called in, booked a reservation at an adorable little bistro in midtown, and had even had flowers sent over to your apartment during the day. So, in return, you’d pulled on your favourite little black dress, the one that hugged in all the right places, and you knew you looked amazing in. Dinner went wonderfully well, there was never an uncomfortable lull in conversation, the flirtation was laid on heavily, and you happily accepted Olivia’s hand linked in yours while you walked the streets of Manhattan back to her apartment.
“I don’t suppose you’d like to come up? Finish off with another glass of wine?” She asked softly as she turned to you and you practically beamed up at her.
“I’d love to.” With a smile you leant in, leaving a gentle kiss on her cheek that caused her to smile just as brightly, wrapping an arm around your waist and leading you upstairs.
Inside the apartment you rid yourselves of the necessary outerwear, shoes coats and scarves left at the door. Oliva encouraged you to make yourself at home while she darted off to the kitchen to get the wine, smiling when she found you completely comfortable on the couch, flicking through tv channels. You thanked her for the wine, taking a quick sip before placing it down on the coffee table and nestling into the arm she laid over the back of the couch.
Naturally, it didn’t take too long for the entertainment to not be the exciting part of the evening. Olivia’s featherlight touches giving you goosebumps and all the right kind of shivers. Glancing up at her you smiled gently, the gleam in your eyes one that was familiar, one that she was definitely intrigued by. She let out a small chuckle as your lips met, not surprised that you were quick to deepen the kiss, not wanting to pull away. Her arms wrapped around your waist and you easily slipped into her lap, letting out a happy sigh at the sensation of being in her arms.
Your hands snuck up her shoulders, gliding over her body before linking behind her neck, hugging yourself impeccably close to her. Your lips danced with grace against each other’s, your tongue sneaking into her mouth as her breath caught in her throat. You could taste the wine, letting out a satisfied sigh into her lungs. One of Olivia’s hands rubbed up your back, cupping gently at the back of your head, pulling you even closer to her. She ached to never let you go, to hold you forever, to be able to wake up with you buried in her arms every morning from now on. Her hands moved from resting on your hips to glide up your sides, thumbs barely brushing towards your chest before the slipped up to your bare shoulders, toying with the straps of your dress. You very reluctantly broke the kiss, gazing down at her,
“Should we…” you nodded down the hall and she grinned.
“Did you want to?”
“Yes. Please.” You nodded feverously and she chuckled, gently nudging you off her lap and linking her hand in yours, leading you down the hallway.
The door swung shut behind the two of you and Olivia met your lips with another kiss, this one filled with more fire, but still tender as her hands wrapped around your body. Her fingers found the zipper of your dress, slowly pulling it down, letting your dress drop over your shoulders and slide to the floor.
“God you’re so beautiful sweetheart.” She murmured, stepping back to admire your lingerie. You couldn’t help but blush a bit, ducking your gaze from hers until you felt her finger curl under your chin and she tilted your head back up to her, “no need to be shy.”
You let out a small giggle, accepting the kiss she left on your lips before undressing herself, her hand curling into yours as she tugged you toward the bed, dropping down to sitting on the edge of it. You toppled onto her lap, smile on your cheeks as she kissed you, hands tickling across your freshly exposed skin, leaving goosebumps in their paths. You let out a happy sigh into the kiss and she smiled at the sensation, her fingers undoing the clasp of you bra and you let it fall to the floor. Olivia’s hands returned to your skin, gently cupping at your chest, squeezing and groping at the tender flesh, pulling a little moan from you, your head dropping back at the sensation. She took full advantage, her lips moving down your neck, teeth ever so lightly scraping at your skin while she continued to toy with your chest, pinching softly at your nipples, pulling more groans and breathy sighs from you as she did so.
“Lie back for me pretty girl.” She nudged you, guiding you to drop into the pillows and you let out a little giggle, adjusting so you were comfortable, “that’s it.” She murmured, kissing you gently, “so good for me already.”
Her lips trailed down your neck once more, nipping at your pulse point before they kissed across your collarbone, her lips wrapping around one of your nipples, sucking it into her mouth while her free hand mirrored her actions on the other side. You felt the heat beginning to build deeper within you, pulsing through your body with each lap of her tongue on your skin. Your hand loosely tangled into her hair as your eyes fluttered shut, head burying into the pillows behind you. Olivia’s lips made a wet path across your skin, down your body before she kissed right above your panties, fingers slipping into the waistband and she tugged them down your legs, tossing them to the floor.
“Spread your legs for me.” She cooed and you did as she asked, hips falling open so she could settle between them, “good girl.” You let out a little gasp when her fingers slid through your folds, gathering your wetness and smearing it around. The pads of her fingers rubbed at your clit briefly, smiling as you let out a little whine, hips rocking toward the movement. “So beautiful…” she murmured, fingers spreading you pussy open before one sunk into you.
“Oh god…”
Olivia pumped it a few times before adding a second one, fingers curling within you in search of that spongey spot. You let out a small gasp when she did, hips rocking up toward her and she pressed against the spot again.
“That’s it sweet girl.” She murmured, “doing so good for me, take my fingers so well.”
She leant over you, nudging your nose with hers to gain your attention, stealing a kiss while her hand continued to fuck into you. Her lips danced with grace against yours, swallowing your moans and whines as her fingers curled and twisted inside your pussy. Your hands clutched at her body, feeling the pressure building within you, pussy fluttering around her fingers. The heel of her hand pressed against your clit and you broke the kiss with a gasp, thighs attempting to close around her body. She simply grinned, picking up the pace of her fingers while her lips kissed down the column of your throat again.
“Feel so good sweetheart, so warm, nice and wet for me.” She husked into your ear and you moaned, your nails scratching at her back.
“Fuck… fuck… please don’t stop.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”
Olivia pressed one last kiss into your burning skin before sitting up so she could use both of her hands, one continuing to fuck her fingers in and out of you, curling with every second thrust. The other one moved to your clit, starting off soft and slow until you were whining, shivering against the bed and she picked up the speed and pressure, matching with the tempo she continued to fuck you.
“Come for me sweet girl, I know you want to. Look so pretty like this…”
The burning prickled through you, your skin alit with pleasure, little whines and moans getting louder and closer together as you felt the tingling build higher and higher, shooting southward. You let out a cry, your body shaking, thighs trembling around Olivia as your orgasm washed through you, pleasure taking you to a peak you’d never hit before.
“Oh god!”
“That’s it sweetheart… god you’re so fucking beautiful when you come.” Her fingers lifted off your clit, giving you some relief as you shook lightly, her fingers gently fucking you through your orgasm.
Your hands reached out in search of her as you panted, eyes fluttering and she let out a soft laugh, fingers sliding out of you so she could crawl over you, accepting the embrace and peppering your face with kisses.
“Jesus…” you muttered.
“You did so well for meet sweet girl, so good.” She murmured, pressing a kiss to your forehead before she dropped onto the bed beside you, pulling you into her arms.
You let out a very satisfied sigh, nuzzling into the embrace as you settled on her chest, smiling at the feeling of her fingers coming to play with your hair. There was simply no doubt, date number four was an absolute swimming success.

author's note below! masterlist / ko-fi / ao3
Tumblr media
Nolan misses Liv’s call thrice before he calls for a recess.
The first two he’s stuck cross-examining the DA’s witness and he doesn’t realize how many times Liv has tried to get him on the phone until the third time she calls. He can’t answer, obviously– Judge MacNamara is lenient but not enough for Nolan to take a call in the middle of the day– but the call goes to voicemail and his screen lights up with Liv’s other attempts to reach him.
He immediately knows it’s bad. And he immediately knows it’s about his wife.
His chest constricts with his panic, breath catching and refusing to enter his lungs as his brain tries to catch up to the situation. The courtroom is suddenly too small and suffocating, his tie a noose around his neck.
It takes McNamara calling his name several times and the DA snidely wondering if the defense needs a minute for Nolan to somewhat snap out of it, pressing on Liv’s contact before the judge finishes adjourning for the day.
“Nolan,” she says, shaky.
Not Price, which is what he’d expect from his wife’s coworker. They’re all friends, sure, but during work hours they fall into the habit of keeping everyone at arm’s length. Not right now, for some reason, and Nolan is tiptoeing the line between fine and about to crumble on the courthouse steps from a knock-out panic attack.
“What happened?” Because something must’ve happened. His wife has one of the most dangerous jobs out there, life-endangering experiences being the norm and coming home not-dead being a good day. But if Liv is calling– if Liv is calling and (Y/N) isn’t…
Nolan has been psyching himself up for this day since (Y/N) first told him about joining the police academy. He’s still somehow not ready.
He will never be ready for this.
Olivia hesitates for a second too long and Nolan’s fear gets the best of him. “Olivia. What happened?”
Her voice cracks at (Y/N)’s name. Nolan grips his briefcase so tightly on the way to the hospital that his hand goes numb, nails digging into the skin of his palm until it’s red and tender.
The knot of anxiety in his belly doesn’t unclench despite the quick, easy ride to the hospital. New York traffic seems to be doing him a favor, but it isn’t the physical distance he’s worried about. That one at least he’s able to cross. There’s nothing he can do if his wife is… if she…
Nolan finds a sea of cops and NYPD blue as soon as he crosses the threshold into Bellevue, worried and talking over each other as they watch over one of their injured own. None of them are familiar faces and his panic increases tenfold, the sound of his heartbeat in his ears drowning out doctors, officers, and detectives.
Suddenly, the sea of people parts for her, and Olivia is in his line of sight, giving Nolan’s brain something to focus on other than the never-ending possibilities of what he might be facing here. She looks disheveled, shirt askew and vest still halfway on; her hair out of place, and her expression haunted, but no blood. There’s no blood on her and it's an important distinction for Nolan to make when she seizes his free hand in hers.
“Nolan,” she says, and her voice sounds like static, just like it did on the phone. It isn’t the line but Nolan’s brain filled with noise, like cotton in his ears and mouth and eyes stopping him from receiving the world clearly. “Nolan, are you okay?”
“What happened?” he asks again. Liv hadn’t explained, not really. She only told him that (Y/N) was hurt and they were taking her to Bellevue. You should come too, she’d said, and should had sounded more like need, which did nothing to soothe Nolan’s raising hackles.
Nolan’s breath stutters. He knows what happened, but he can’t comprehend it. The hand holding his briefcase is shaking. He asks once more when Liv only blinks at him, mouth open and no words coming out. “What happened?”
“We were chasing a suspect via foot,” and Nick’s there, too, by Liv’s side, like an apparition Nolan might’ve conjured. His brows are furrowed, jaw tense. “We caught him mid-rape and separated to cover more ground. No one had mentioned a gun during their disclosures, he wasn’t supposed to be armed.”
“(Y/N) caught up to him first,” Liv continues, voice dry, shaking her head. “He– Shots went off but we didn’t know– he must’ve known we were onto him. Got his hands on a gun after the first wave of assaults.”
Nolan bites the inside of his cheek. He tastes blood and thinks of his wife, and stops.
“She was alone for two minutes tops,” Nolan wonders if Liv thinks she’s being reassuring. “She’d been shot, we called a bus right away.”
“Where?” Nolan asks tightly.
Liv blinks. Nick answers, “What?”
“Where, where in her body was she shot, how–” he struggles for a full breath and only comes out half successful. “How bad is it?”
Silence.
“Did you– did you not see her?” he wonders, biting. Nolan turns back and forth between his wife’s coworkers, losing his patience. “Were you there, was she– Jesus, Liv, how bad is it?”
“The bullet hit her chest,” Nolan loses all fiery, defensive passion right then and there. His own heart stops for a second, or at least that’s what it feels like when his chest is engulfed by a pressing ache that numbs him all over.
“They took her straight into surgery,” Nick continues when Nolan doesn’t say anything to that, unable to leave his partner to the wolves. “Liv rode with her in the ambulance but there wasn’t– it’s in their hands now. They’re taking care of her, pal, okay? She’s getting help.”
Where was the help when she was alone chasing after a fucking criminal, where the hell were you, huh he wants to say; wants to shout and curse and point and make a scene, but the words get stuck in his throat and in the next blink he finds himself seated in the waiting room, still surrounded by cops.
God, Nolan thinks, pressing his fingers to his tightly closed lids. When, in their fifteen years of knowing each other, could he have seen this coming? The bright-eyed, furiously righteous kid halfway through law school and the pretty girl who took one of his classes as an elective, only to completely destroy one of his classmates during a debate that made up half their grade.
Nolan had watched, mouth barely open in amazement as quiet, back-of-the-class (Y/N) didn’t flinch while delivering the final blow and bringing her team to victory. She snuck out before he could talk to her– do something stupid like congratulate her with stars in his eyes and an invitation for coffee on his tongue, but it didn’t matter.
It didn’t matter because the next weekend his roommate dragged him to a party and she was there, she was everywhere now that Nolan was unconsciously looking out for her. He ran into her in the hallways from one class to another, in the library, at parties and restaurants. It was like the world was screaming at him here! Here, look this way! Here it is, the rest of your life waiting for you! All you gotta do is look!
He’d been there for hours already, bored and annoyed out of his mind when he saw her across the room. After nursing the same red cup of warm beer and looking at his watch every couple of minutes, calculating the appropriate time to bail he saw her. She’d been leaning against a wall, her expression changing from concealed humor to disbelief to a laugh that had her hiding behind her hand, entertained by whoever she’d been speaking to.
Who it was, Nolan doesn’t remember. He doesn’t even think about the cliche of it all, how the world faded when their eyes locked across the room and (Y/N) gave him a smile, shy, shrugging and turning back to her conversation.
The funny pressure on his chest didn’t dissipate when he finally got a chance to exchange words with her. After the final exam, Nolan left the lecture hall and sat heavily on a bench by the door, catching his breath from the adrenaline of a month worth of study finally being over.
(Y/N) was there, too, smiling sheepishly up at him as she crouched against the wall, elbows on her knees. Her expression brims with shy recognition as she nods. “How’d you do?”
She was talking about the exam. Nolan’s embarrassed to this day by the time it took for him to catch up. His cheeks were flushed when he answered. “I’m, uh, not flushing out yet, I hope.”
“You don’t sound too sure.”
“Ask me after I’ve slept some 12 hours,” he sighed, messing nervously with his hair. “Things usually seem less dire by then.”
“Would some coffee do the trick?” and Nolan didn’t know it then, but (Y/N) was nervous, bravery swelling inside her chest as she asked him for the first day of the rest of their lives. In the end, she’d been the one to catch up to all the signs, all the serendipitous opportunities to finally end up where they were supposed to.
“Coffee can work,” Nolan, young and eager, said slowly. He couldn’t stop grinning, high with lack of sleep and the attention of a pretty girl. “You’re buying?”
“It’s only fair,” she shrugged, but there was something giddy about her expression that he still sees in her face to this day sometimes, bright and young. “You look like you’re about to drop dead.”
“And I still seem like worthy company?”
“I think we can pull a few good hours out of you yet,” a few hours, a few years; Nolan will be as sleepless as he was then on his wedding day out of pure excitement. They’ll have spent the night before the ceremony talking on the phone while they slept in separate rooms because their friends are sentimental little fucks like that and wouldn’t let him even kiss her goodbye before the big day.
He’d described the few hours apart as agony in his vows, had made the crowd laugh and (Y/N) cry with the sentiment, and he wishes he hadn’t now. He shouldn’t have said a damned thing, shouldn’t have manifested any sort of agony into their lives because now the illusion cuts off sharply, and then he’s back in the waiting room, a nurse calling (Y/N)’s name while he plays with his wedding ring and bites the inside of his cheek, staring blankly into the hallway.
Liv’s still there for some reason, as are some other officers and Amaro, while the others hunt down the man who landed their friend in the hospital. Munch had snapped at the Captain when he told him he couldn’t stay. Fin had to lead Amanda out of the hospital by the shoulders, too stricken to do it herself.
Liv and Amaro stand when they hear the nurse but it takes Nolan a few moments to gather himself back together enough to pay attention. She tells them, gently, “She’s out of surgery. She lost a lot of blood, but only some of the bullet’s fragments hit her heart. It was touch and go but the doctor was able to extract all of them.”
Nolan’s lungs open up and he gets the first full breath washing over his body since Liv called. He must make a sound, because the attention in the room shifts to him, suffocating and inquisitive. His vision blurs for a second, not because of tears but adrenaline, his heartbeat pumping in his ears.
“She’s extremely lucky,” she continues, and she’s looking right at Nolan when she says this, like it's supposed to help. Like that’s what luck means, almost-but-not-quite bleeding out while your heart is stitched up back together. “Most people with injuries like this don’t even make it past the ambulance.”
Nolan closes his eyes in anguish. He presses his closed fists against his forehead, elbows on his knees, back hunched. It’s almost like he’s trying to disappear into himself, away from the image of an ambulance opening its doors when arriving at the hospital only to be met with his flatlining wife, the sound echoing through his brain and overriding every other of his senses.
“There’s still a long way to go,” she continues, softer, realizing she’s hit a nerve. She turns to Liv and Nick, who are paying rapt attention even as Nick walks close to him to put a hand on Nolan’s shoulder, tight and steady. “She won’t wake up anytime soon. Her body needs rest and to recuperate from the most acute of her injuries. And the doctor would like to talk about next steps once she does.”
Next steps, Nolan thinks. Next steps, the only next steps he’s aware of are those that lead to his wife, the nurse walking him to her room. Olivia and Amaro trail behind him like a couple of guard dogs, standing alert for any sign of Nolan backing out or collapsing into his grief.
He just might. He feels queasy, nauseous with exhaustion and worry. But then he sees his wife, and, really, nothing else matters.
“Sweetheart,” he says, devastated, walking to her bed across the hospital room. “Oh, honey.”
Despite his eagerness to touch her, Nolan flails when (Y/N)’s finally within arms reach. She looks asleep for one blissful, hopeful moment, but then Nolan blinks and the light settles; the ashiness of her skin, the uncomfortable placing of her body, the blank expression devoid of dreams or nightmares or consciousness.
He’d usually be embarrassed to have a witness to such a personal display of affection, but not even Liv and Nick standing tall at the door can stop Nolan from eventually cupping (Y/N)’s face in his hands and kissing the apple of her cheek, lingering and gentle. He’s afraid of touching the rest of her, of jostling her too badly, but the steady noise of the heart rate monitor is a constant, loud reminder that (Y/N) won’t fall apart that easily.
Liv and Nick linger behind him, talking quietly amongst themselves in sharp whispers. It might or might not be an argument, and in Nolan’s mind it feels like both an eternity and a couple of seconds. He would kick them out if he could gather the energy to care about it. Eventually, Benson takes a few apprehensive steps into the room, seemingly having lost whatever fight she and her partner were having.
“We’re on our way out,” she murmurs. “There’s a lead on our guy, the Captain’s calling us all back to the precinct. But if there’s anything…”
She trails off. Nolan doesn’t answer, studies instead the bridge of (Y/N)’s nose and the shape of her eyebrows, tries to count her eyelashes and catalog the bruises on her face. Liv sighs defeatedly and reaches for him.
“Whatever you need,” Liv says firmly with a hand on his arm. Still, her steady presence is undermined by the way she keeps looking at (Y/N) like she’s already attending a funeral. Nolan suddenly can’t stand her, even if she rode the ambulance with (Y/N) to the hospital and kept her semi-conscious until the doctors took her off her hands. “We’re here for you, alright? All of us, Nolan. I’m serious.”
“Thanks,” he says, voice rough and cracked from swallowing down his panic and tears. He clears his throat but it does little to clear up his words. “Thank you, Liv. For everything.”
Her lips tighten in an unpleased line, but she nods and leaves the room with one last squeeze to his shoulder. He’s being ungrateful, the fact doesn’t escape him. Liv’s the one who found her, who held her hand in the ambulance before they drove her off to surgery. Nolan owes Benson his life.
The thought alone makes him so nauseous he has to clench his eyes shut, jaw tight, entire body trembling. God, what would he have done? What will he do, if something happens to (Y/N)? She isn’t out of the woods yet and if something goes wrong, if her body decides to cave in, if the wound gets infected, if there’s something they didn’t catch, if, if, if, if–
He lifts his head and catches his wife’s face, lax and motionless. Once again, the panic settles. He hasn’t gotten the chance to let it unfold the way it needs to.
“I finally got you on your own,” Nolan says, soft, careful not to disturb the semblance of peace in the room. (Y/N) doesn’t answer, no matter how badly Nolan wants her to. “You’re very popular. A tough one to find these days, you know.”
She wasn’t even supposed to be in today. Cragen had called mere hours after they’d gone to bed– at the same time for the first time in weeks– and Nolan had done his best to stay up after the phone rang and (Y/N) began quickly getting ready. She’d kneeled next to his side of the bed and Nolan had leaned in to kiss her without thought, an automatic notion he wishes he’d paid more attention to now.
I’ll call you when I can, she nudged her nose against his temple before pressing a kiss there. Nolan had already been half asleep at that point. Love you.
Love you back, Nolan mumbled, jutting his chin forward blindly. One more.
He continues as if (Y/N) had spoken. “You’ve got half of the NYPD out there waiting on you. The nurses are rioting, but I don’t think anyone’ll leave until you wake up.”
Nolan’s voice loses the battle, it breaks right at the end of his sentence and so does his composure, eyes burning with tears that for some goddamned reason just won’t fall.
“Please,” he begs to the sky, to God, to no one. “Please, please, please. Wake up.”
He presses his forehead to his wife’s limp hand maybe a little too harshly. Even if the skin is cold and her grip is nonexistent, the relief the touch brings Nolan has him sobbing.
An hour ago she was in surgery, out of reach and sight even if she was already getting help.
Three hours ago she was bleeding out in some alleyway in Queens, struggling for her radio to call for help. Seven hours ago she was kissing him goodbye, smiling against his mouth despite the dark nature of the sudden case because Nolan kept pulling her in for one more kiss.
One more, one more, one more, his pleads begs now. Wake up and give me one more, sweetheart, come on now.
“Please, honey,” he whispers, wet and nasal with emotion. “I’m not ready for this. I’m not ready yet, I didn’t– I don’t–”
The words don’t come. Nolan chokes, holds (Y/N)’s hand in his own, and breathes, breathes, and breathes.
Life moves on.
Nolan doesn’t cry. God knows why, but he can’t, his body on automatic while his mind solely focuses on (Y/N)’s condition. The nurses know him by name and he makes record time to the apartment and back to the hospital for showers and quick naps, some food for the little appetite he has.
He doesn’t even think to be offended when his boss places him on indefinite leave. Nolan can’t bring himself to care, he would’ve stacked up every sick day and vacation time available to stay at (Y/N)’s side as much as he could anyway.
The squad offers to stand guard almost daily, which Nolan appreciates, but his object permanence has gone to shit. Whenever he doesn’t have eyes on (Y/N) his panic rises again like a tidal wave, never quite crashing but dwindling whenever he sits next to her at the hospital, hand on her ankle or arm or somewhere he can easily look for her pulse, weak but steady.
It’s desperate, he knows, and more than a little pathetic, but Nolan feels like he’s allowed. Until (Y/N) wakes up to tell him he’s been worrying over nothing he will do as he pleases.
He talks to her. It’s another coping method that borders on delusion but no one has called him out of it yet. Not even Liv and Amaro, who have caught him more than once speaking quietly into the lull of the hospital room, holding his wife’s hand and drawing soothing motions with his thumb against her skin.
Mom drove into the steps again. The ones in the driveway? They were already loose from last time and now she has Dad driving through every Home Depot in North Carolina to find the right match.
Jill sends her best. Last time I saw her she was talking my ear off about her kid’s college fund. Apparently her husband lost half of it during Tuesday night with the boys, whatever that means.
Munch says he owes you 20 bucks from the Giants game from two weeks ago? Which is weird, because you haven’t watched a full game since, like, ‘02. Not like you’re missing anything, but still, your accuracy to outsmart Munch in his own line of work is pretty outstanding.
It helps. Or it helps enough; whenever he ventures over what they’ll do once she’s awake and at home together the illusion breaks and so does Nolan’s voice. He trails off, feeling foolish, the weight of his delusion pressing on his chest.
“It’s not silly,” Munch tells him during one of his visits, the book he’s been reading to (Y/N) resting on his lap. “It’s helpful and it doesn’t hurt anyone. You’re talking to your wife. If I’d done more of that back in my day then maybe I’d still be married.”
“To which one?” Nolan asks, his lips tingling with the want to almost smile.
Munch points at him as if saying yahtzee. “Exactly.”
He’s so sure it calms Nolan more than you’d expect. So far Munch is the only other person who talks about (Y/N) like she’s still alive and thus, the only one who doesn’t make inexplicable helpless rage wash over Nolan whenever they’re in the same room.
He’s the one with him when (Y/N) wakes. She does so in a panic, waking Nolan up from his uncomfortable sleep in the chair next to her bed. It’s a sudden flail after another as her heart rate monitor goes crazy and she doesn’t answer any call of her name, terrified and in pain.
It’s awful. Nolan doesn’t think he’ll ever forget how she almost tears at her stitches mid her panic while doctors and nurses gather around her and kick Nolan out with quick accuracy. There’s nothing he can do to help and he knows it, but he’s never supposed to be in a position in which he can’t help her.
He’s doomed to watch from a glass window, helpless, as his wife suffers without anyone to reach out to.
She woke up but had to be sedated, a nurse tells him after, it’s normal for patients to be unaware of their surroundings after waking up from long periods of unconsciousness. We still haven’t been able to determine neurological damage, so we’ll have to wait until it wears off.
“Kid, kid, hey,” Munch says, oddly alarmed after coming back from the cafeteria with two coffees and finding Nolan sitting outside (Y/N)’s room, crying into his knees. “What’s wrong, what happened? I was gone for fifteen minutes–”
Nolan tries to explain but the words get caught up in his throat, his grief taking over his sense of logic. She woke up, he meant to say. She woke up and she didn’t know where she was and I stood by like an idiot to watch her suffer.
After he’s talked down from a panic attack he says, voice a mere croak. “She woke up. They don’t know– but she woke up.”
Munch sighs, visibly relieved as he squats next to Nolan, squeezing his shoulder in support. “Good. That’s good, hey– Nolan. That’s good, okay? That’s one step closer to getting her back. This is good.”
He repeats those words to himself like a mantra. This is good, this is good, this is good, and doesn’t dare to close his eyes for something other than blinking until (Y/N)’s conscious. It’s hours later, deep into the night when she opens her eyes again, groggy and disoriented, blinking into the dark hospital room.
“Honey,” he says, quiet and so, so relieved. (Y/N) doesn’t appear to hear him and a flash of fear seizes his heart. He presses the button and calls for a nurse, edging closer to the bed. “(Y/N/N). Hey, honey, you with me?”
Arduously slowly, (Y/N) follows the sound of his voice. She blinks at him, gulping and saying, dry as the Sahara. “Nole.”
It’s the most glorious thing he’s ever heard. The smile that pulls at his mouth is unconscious, ripped from him almost against his will. He goes to touch her face, hands shaky and reverent. “Yeah. Yeah, sweetheart, it’s me.”
He offers her a drink and grips her hand all through the nurse’s examination, which she passes with flying colors. While she’s tinkering with her IV, (Y/N) asks him, “Bellevue?”
“Yeah,” he says grimly, thumb rubbing soothing motions against her skin, trying to infuse some warmth.
“Shot?” she wonders next.
Nolan hesitates. “You don’t remember?”
“Guessin’,” she slurs, tired, blinks getting longer each time she closes her eyes.
The nurse pipes up then with the same explanations she’s given Nolan the past few weeks: the bullet to her heart, the long-lasting surgery, and the even longer coma. (Y/N) nods in all the right places but her head rests against the pillow and her expression remains blank, like she’s not retaining any information.
“Anyone… else?” she asks.
“No,” Nolan responds, watching how tension falls off her frame when he confirms this fact. He wishes he felt the same, a selfish part of him wishes it had been someone else; Liv or Amaro or Fin here in this hospital bed instead of his wife. It’s true, even if the thought is followed by guilt. “No, everyone’s fine, honey. Working their asses off and worried out of their minds, but okay. It’s just you.”
(Y/N) hums and then promptly falls back asleep, breaths settling into an even rhythm. It’s then that his eyes water and his tears fall on the scratchy hospital sheets where (Y/N) lays.  Oh, Nolan thinks, almost surprised by them. So this is what it takes.
Nolan bows his head and lets himself cry in silence. His breath keeps hitching, and the nauseating feeling of panic he’s been nursing for weeks finally explodes. He can’t feel his hands and feet, body numb all over.
The next time he looks up, hours later, is because (Y/N)’s reaching to touch his face, tender and shaky. He snaps to attention like a soldier called to his battalion, but there’s no trouble chasing after them, no bad thing happening for once. They’re okay, alone and safe in her hospital room while nurses and doctors and visitors keep passing by just outside the door.
“You haven’t slept,” (Y/N) croaks out as she drops her hand from where she’d been gently pressing at the bags under Nolan’s eyes, tired from that simple movement. Her chest rises and falls with breaths that are a little too labored, but her eyes are fixed on her husband, worried. “Nole.”
It almost makes him smile: (Y/N) worrying about other people while she lies with a hole in her heart on a hospital bed. Nolan would laugh if he were sure it wouldn’t immediately turn into crying again, but there’s nothing funny about this. Nothing.
“‘m alright,” he promises, weak and croaky and wet from previous cries. (Y/N) looks a little too out of it, but also like she doesn’t believe him for a moment. He amends: “I will be. And so will you. You’re gonna be okay, honey.”

I’m here for you
Tumblr media
Joe Velasco X Reader
A/N: I hope everyone enjoys this !! If you like my work please comment like and reblog it means a lot to see interactions on my work.
Y/N POV
Me and Joe had this will they wont they thing going on for a while now. You felt like the vibes were there but it was hard because he was a quiet guy.
You also were a little reserved so no one had the guts to talk to each other. But slowly by surely the two of you opened up to each other. Talking and texting every chance you got.
It had only been a couple of months and you were head over heels in love.
Lately thought he had gone through a rough patch and you were trying to be there for him without stepping on toes.
 Olivia our captain was against me even talking to him. Which i personally didn’t understand.
I Mean I know what he was accused of but i think we all deserve the benefit of the doubt.
 I mean just become someone decided to secretly record an interview we should all turn on him. I feel like he deserved to tell his side of the story.
I let everyone in the unit how I was feeling about the situation which was causing a lot of heat in the unit.
“Y/N what did I tell you about staying away” Captain Benson asked.
“All i did was text him to make sure he was doing that’s all” I said
“You disobeyed my orders i told you flat out no communication” She said
“I didn’t ask about the case or anything he’s my friend I ‘m not going to turn my back on him especially when he needs people now” I said in a defensive manner.
Cap just looked at me and I could tell she was trying to find the right next words to say to me.
“Listen to me I am saying this because you are a great detective and you have a great career ahead of you and you need to stay focused okay” She told me
The words she said to me kind of irritated me a little bit but i kept my composer and bit my tongue. I didn’t want to start a fight and cause more tension.
“I understand cap” was all you could muster out at the moment.
“Your dismissed the days over just go home and get some rest and think about what I said.” She said.
“Yes Ma’am thank you” I said
She put her glasses on and started pulling some papers out of her giant stack she had and started focusing on them.
Finn and Amanda both looked at me with worried look on their faces. I think when I walked out I looked a little mad and upset.
“You know she’s right you just gotta focus on you at the moment” Amanda said
Something in you broke a little and what ever you had been pushing down had worked it way up.
Because you looked over at them sitting in their desk and then spoke out
“I find that a bit ironic considering your history of dating you and Nick Aamaro and then getting pregnant by Lt Murphy who you were under by the way. Me and Velscao are friends and im finding it pretty messed up that were just supposed to turn our back on a friend” You snapped.
Finn looked surprised as hell and Amanda was taken back and not sure on what to say next. Which you didn’t even bother giving her the chance.
You quickly gathered your stuff and then headed out. In the background you heard Finn say
“Just let go and let’s go home” He said
You walked out the squad room and headed downstairs. You were to worked up to even wait for the elevator.
You ran down the stairs and then headed out the front door. The fresh air hitting you in the face made you instantly feel a little better. You just headed to the car and threw your stuff in.
You didn’t even think about going home you just began driving. You tried to clear your head to make you feel a little better. ]
Your stomach started growling and you decided to stop for some dinner. There was a local diner that Joe introduced you to.
You pulled up and got out and walked in . It was pretty quiet and you were thankful for not having to deal with people.
You sat in the booth you and Joe always sat in. You were looking at the menu but not really even paying attention.
You tried to push back frustration tears from everything going on. Suddenly a man wearing a hoodie sat across from you which scared the crap out of you
“Omg what the hell” You asked
You heard a familiar laugh and then calmed down immediately when you realized who it was.
“Joe what the hell are you doing here” You asked
You looked up at him he gave you a sad look.
“I guess i just wanted to see you”  He said
“Yeah me to but how did you know I was here” You asked
“Because I know you I figured you were just getting off of work and was probably hungry so you came here and sat in our booth” Joe said
You blushed and smiled at him knowing you so well. Or were you that predictable you thought
“How are you with everything” You asked
“It’s been hard you know having to turn on Chilli and not also you know” Joe said
“ you know what” You asked
“Not being able to talk to you. You have no idea how long I have been wanting to talk to you and see you it killed me” Joe said
“It’s not fair that Cap thinks she can just dictate our personal lives you know I missed you to a lot I have been wanting to see you It killed me too not beng able to see you” You told him.
“I don’t want to bring you down with me” Joe said
“You wouldn’t do that I’m here for everything the good and the bad” You said grabbing his hand.
He took your hand and looked up at you and smiled and gave your hand a squeeze.
“I’m here for you always” you said to him
“I know and that’s the problem he said
Your face kind of dropped and it was hard not to feel hurt.
Joe noticed your face and took his other hand and grabbed your free one and squeezed both of them together.
“It’s not like that i don’t wanna drag you down with me I love you to much” He said
You gave him a surprised look followed by a smile
“You love me” You questioned
He laughed a little bit.
“I’m being serious” you said pouting
“I know me to I’m trying to tell you I love you. Like more than friends you know and I don’t wanna be the reason your career goes up in flames” He said
“Listen here Joe Velscao” you said
“Oh my whole government name it’s serious” Joe said smiling
“Shut the hell up and listen I love you so much and you are the best part of me and I am a better person and detective because of you know and I know it’s only been a couple of month but when you know you know and I just know” You said rambling towards the end.
Joe leaped towards you and kissed you hard. You kissed him back and you were both smiling in each other’s faces.
The kiss broke and he sat down.
“Listen Y/N i love you so much and like you said when you know you know and I do feel that way about you which is why I wanna protect you” Joe said
“I’m here i’m a big girl we are going to figure this out together but you gotta tell me the truth that stuff you said in the tapes was it true” You asked
“Yeah it is but to a point i’m clean I never touched drugs ever but with the dad and son Chilli covered my ass and I owe that to him to help and try and cover his” Joe said
“I know you feel like that but you also know what ever is going on in the past you gotta close the wound and it should be on your time not anyones else’s okay but you know what the right thing to do is” You said
“I know I know your right and i know what i gotta do i just don’t the accusations and the rush to judgement” Joe said
“I get that and I agree that’s not fair to you and you shouldn’t have to prove who you are after all the hard work you been doing. But this is where we are so you need to go and sit down and talk to Oliva and be honest with everything and let the cards fall where they do” You said
“Yeah you're probably right and I know it’s just hard actually doing it” Joe said
“I will go in with you tomorrow okay i got you. You won’t go in there alone.” You said
“Thank you” Joe said squeezing my hand
“Now let’s eat I’m hungry that’s the whole reason why i’m here” You said laughing
“Yes Ma’am” Joe said
The waitress came back over and the two of you ordered. Of course she knew what you were getting because it was the same old thing.
“So uh after this little confession is this considered a date” You asked
Joe’s face lit up red and he looked up at you and smiled.
“Nah trust me you deserve a much better place than this for our first official date” He said
“Oh you don’t know what you just walked yourself into. Because i am going to take you to the most expensive restaurant i can in New York” You said laughing
“Oh you the person who orders the most basic food ever you wouldn’t even eat the nice food so good luck with that” Joe said laughing
“Don’t worry about me” You said smirking.
You both couldn’t contain your laughter of that. Joe really loosened up and relaxed and you both dropped the work conversation after that. T
alking about everything from your favorite shows you would watch together.
The food came out just a little bit later and you both shoved your faces with food. It was either really good or you were really hungry.
The rest of the night you both laughed and talked. You also couldn’t help but wonder how Liv was going to take you defying her orders but that didn’t matter right now.
Because there is no one else you would rather be with than Joe. Nothing could keep the two of you apart from each other.
No matter what happed the two of you would always be there for each other

When universes collide.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: canon typical violence, reference to Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame and jealous Defender Strange.
A/N: This is a little plot bunny that was racing around in my head and I hope you enjoy it.
Rafael Barba had experienced his fair share of mysteries as an ADA and while he was able to solve some of them; the ones he couldn’t solve haunted him.
The mystery that was currently confounding him was how you dealt with situations where your two lives collided.
The SVU squad all knew about your status as an Avenger. Rafael had been meaning to reach out to you and offer support because he could see how much Thanos’ Snaps had affected you. Every time he tried to talk to you about it, there was either a case the squad needed to deal with or a supernatural crisis that you had to resolve.
Today proved to be no different. Rafael had planned to talk to you before the trial but he’d overslept. Then, when he was in the middle of a cross examination, a multi limbed monster crashed into the courtroom from out of nowhere and began flailing around.
Many people screamed as they processed what was happening. You, Liv and Sonny were among the few who remained somewhat calm. Liv and Sonny hurriedly escorted the people out of the courtroom while you called out to the Judge.
“Do what you need to do, Detective (Surname). Just don’t make a mess.” He shouted as he too was escorted out of the courtroom.
At that moment, three men stepped out of a large, golden circle that also appeared out of thin air. Two of the men looked uncannily similar; the only difference between them was that one had a ponytail and the robes they wore.
“What’s your plan?” One of the men barked. With a jolt, Rafael realised that it was Doctor Stephen Strange who had spoken.
“Containment spell mixed with a deaging and shrinking spell,” you yelled back. You lit up your hands with magic and the men did the same. Moments later, your spell slammed into the monster. A clear prism formed around it and as it shrunk, so did the monster until the monster had shrunk to a miniature size.
Rafael identified the moment the spell ended. The small monster zoomed into your grasp and you gazed at it almost fondly.
“You know, when it’s not striking out with its limbs, it’s kind of cute.”
“You are not keeping it as a pet. It could be dangerous in ways we don’t know about.”
You unwillingly handed the monster to Stephen, who grasped it gingerly.
“Wong will fill you in. I’ll go put this back.” Stephen disappeared in a whirl of colour.
“We must depart.” The man named Wong stated gruffly. “At Kamar-Taj, we can begin to unravel the mystery that brought this Stephen to our world.”
Rafael’s jaw dropped open, “Two Stephen Stranges? This world can barely handle one.”
Rafael’s eyes met yours. He wanted you to reassure him that it’d be okay; that you wouldn’t be walking into something you weren’t prepared for. The more rational side of him knew that you couldn’t realistically promise that.
“The Judge’ll be impressed. The courtroom is minimally damaged.”
The other Strange moved to stand opposite you, blocking Rafael’s view of you and ensuring you focused on him.
“The longer I stay here, the greater the probability that a tear in the multiverse occurs and destroys both our worlds.”
Rafael heard you exhale heavily.
“Tell Liv and Sonny…”
“I will,” Rafael promised, knowing what you were going to say. Despite his desire for answers, he knew that he’d have to wait to get them.
A third portal appeared and you stepped through it. Rafael caught a glimpse of an old building before the visiting Stephen shifted to face him. There was something chilling in his gaze, like a warning to Rafael to stay away from this part of your life because he would not be able to understand it.
Then the portal closed and Rafael was left standing in the courtroom alone.

Summary: (Y/n) and Rafael had to recover from losing their baby 2 years ago, but their lives start to change again when (Y/n) finds out she’s pregnant again.
Enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
A smile wormed it way onto Rafael's lips and he paused in his ministrations of undoing his tie when he felt a pair of warm arms securing around his middle. He shivered when he felt (Y/n)'s face pressing between his shoulder blades and her hot breaths fanning against his skin through his dress shirt.
"Hello mi amour," His voice was soft as butter while he threw his tie onto the bed and kicked off his shoes. He had only just walked through the bedroom door and (Y/n) automatically clung to him like he had been gone days instead of hours.
"Hi baby." (Y/n) closed her eyes and inhaled his scent before she tightened her arms around him, not wanting to pull away just yet. She could feel him chuckling quietly and he reached an arm behind him to hold her hip before he slowly turned around in her arms.
With a growing smile, Rafael cupped (Y/n)'s face in his hands and pressed a longing kiss to her lips and he swore she melted against him into a puddle. "How was your day?" He spoke quietly in between kisses and he slowly walked (Y/n) back until her knees hit the bed and she sat down.
Even though she had seen him this morning before work it felt like the hours had dragged until he walked through the door. (Y/n) wasn't ever so keen on being home alone, when they were both at work it was okay because she was busy and around people but if Rafael was working and she wasn't, (Y/n) felt at a loss for what to do. All she wanted was to be wrapped up in his arms lately and the moment he let her go she felt empty.
It didn't dawn on (Y/n) that she was only in her bra and underwear until she watched her husband rake his eyes over her frame and his smile turned into a catfish grin that made her stomach flip. She had been in the process of getting changed after a bath when Rafael came home.
A curious look came across Rafael's lips as he leaned over (Y/n) with his hands resting on her hips and his legs stood between her thighs. He watched intently as she took hold of one hand and moved his palm until it was pressed under her growing stomach. Silence enveloped them and he waited patiently and confused until he felt a small wriggle against his hand that made his face light up.
They were at twenty weeks now so it was about now that (Y/n) would start to feel the baby moving and soon she would feel them kicking and she knew the moment it started, everything would feel real. Up until now she still couldn't get her mind around the fact that they were going to have a baby. That she was going to have a baby.
All she could think about was their baby girl and a repeat of history that would render them childless again.
The chances of having another miscarriage or stillbirth were very slim and extremely unlikely but it didn't make it any easier. (Y/n) wanted to be the kind of woman who could go out and look at baby clothes and buy some in advance without panicking that if she bought even one outfit, she would tempt fate and then she would suddenly have a miscarriage. It didn't feel safe to buy anything or get the spare room set up and decorated, (Y/n) didn't want to do anything until their baby was almost born.
If she was being honest with herself, (Y/n) would rather not get anything ready until she'd gone through labour and was sure they would be able to bring their child home at the end of it all.
Going through labour and ending up with no child at the end didn't even come with feelings, it left (Y/n) and Rafael hollow. They were able to see, hold and cuddle their baby for as long as they wanted but it wasn't the same because they had to savour her touch because one touch had to last a lifetime without her.
"They know their Papi." Rafael smiled charmingly before he pulled back and began to unbutton his shirt.
At their scan next week they would find out if they were having a boy or a girl and though Rafael was excited, he knew (Y/n) was apprehensive. If they had a girl, it would feel like they were replacing Bella and he knew (Y/n) would just be waiting until the day she thought she would miscarry. If they had a boy maybe she wouldn't be so panicked but he wasn't sure.
He wanted her to enjoy the experience like last time, he knew (Y/n) had loved feeling the baby move and watching her body change to look after their baby. He would feel a lot better if (Y/n) was calmer and excited rather than panicked and worried.
"Your mum came round today," (Y/n) slowly rose from the bed with one hand rubbnig soothing circles over her stomach. She made her way over to the chair in front of the window and held out a box to Rafael.
"From mami?" He questioned befoe he took the small blue box from (Y/n)'s hands and set it down on the bed to take a peek.
His breath suddenly got stuck at the back of his throat and he felt himself tense for a few seconds as he looked into the box. Rafael's hands were subtally trembling when he slowly pulled the hand-knitted blanket out of the tissue paper. It was a lovely cream colour with rows in squares and two rows or purple and green bordering around the blanket.
"It's lovely, I cried when I opened it." (Y/n) couldn't speak without her voice breaking and it made tears well up in her eyes.
The blanket was beautiful and it was hand-made which made it all the more special but it hurt.
(Y/n) felt awful when her mother-in-law came round and gave her the gift because she couldn't help but cry when she looked at the blanket. It was touching to have something so lovely that must have taken hours to complete and it would be very special to her child when they grew older. But that was the part that made (Y/n) cry. She didn't know if the baby would be okay or even alive to appreciate this gift.
When they told his mother last time that they were pregnant, she had been over the moon and she made a similar blanket which was champagne white with pink flowers and pink ribbon sewn around the edging. She also made purple slippers for their baby as well but they had been made in vain.
"She's been dying to make some outfits since we told her." Rafael gently folded the blanket back and put it back in the box before he turned towards (Y/n).
"I know, and I want her to make them but we didn't even keep the last blanket she made, we b... I can't do that again."
(Y/n) rubbed at her tired, sore eyes before she sat down on the bed and flopped to lay on her side.
Deep down, (Y/n) wished she had that baby blanket his mother made for them. It might have been something she could hold onto and cuddle when she yearned to have their baby in her arms. It would have been a good source of comfort for them both but they didn't have it anymore. When they lost Bella, they had dressed her in the only outfit Rafael's mother had managed to make for her with how premature she had been and they wrapped her up in the same blanket she had made. Bella was buried with the blanket so she was warm and comfortable.
(Y/n) couldn't go through picking an outfit out and swaddling their next baby up in this blanket to be buried in the ground. She couldn't do it again.
"Querida, we won't have to do that this time." Rafael sat down on the bed beside her and moved his hand to smooth over her stomach. "You can feel them moving about now and we know they're okay. We're gonna have a baby who will be perfect."
A grin broke out on (Y/n)'s face despite the few tears still leaving her eyes and she slowly carded her fingers through Rafael's hair when he shuffled down so that he was level with her stomach. She wasn't sure what he whispered but whatever it was made the baby within her stir before he kissed her stomach.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey hun, you want something to eat?"
Amanda's voice broke (Y/n) out of her thoughts and she tiredly looked up, trying to look around for the blonde who was sitting on her desk across from (Y/n). She had a Chinese takeout pot in her hand and chopsticks in the other that she was clattering together like a crab's pinchers which made (Y/n) smile despite how rough she felt.
Nothing she had been eating recently had stayed down long enough to digest, everything came back up and (Y/n) was feeling worse for wear because of it. She just prayed that Rafael wouldn't come down to the precinct today because she promised him if she didn't manage to keep breakfast down then she would stay home. But she didn't want to be home alone, if anything happened to the baby she didn't want to be alone and work was the best place to be when she was around her friends. It wasn't like she was doing any hard work either when she was bound to desk duty for the foreseeable future.
"No, thanks I'm good." It was tempting, (Y/n) was always partial to some noodles but she didn't want to take the risk. It would be better to fast for the day and let her stomach settle than risk eating something and throw it up later.
"You sure (Y/n)? There's some rice or some plain noodles if you want." Carisi perched himself on the edge of (Y/n)'s desk and held a container out towards her with a bright smile and a fork in his hand because he couldn't work the chopsticks properly.
"No... w-what have you got?" (Y/n) couldn't help the way her lips pulled into a frown when the smell hit her nose like a truck.
It never normally affected her but even the simplest food seemed to smell so horrid to (Y/n) now she was pregnant and it was making bile rise in her throat. All she wanted to do was eat, her stomach was growling with hunger and it was making her head spin but she couldn't when throwing it up again later felt so awful. Her throat burned from the acid when she was sick and her stomach seemed to turn in knots.
Starving herself until she was better would work because she had tried to eat little and often but it only meant she was sick more often. Even water wasn't staying down recently either.
"Sweet and sour chicken, want some?"
The moment Carisi moved the container towards her, (Y/n) leaned back and held her breath so she wouldn't smell the food and she pushed it back towards him, hoping he would get the hint and move it away.
"Sorry Carisi but it smells, could you...?"
"Yeah, yeah sure, sorry. Why don't you try some crackers?" He could see she was feeling a bit queasy and he also knew she hadn't eaten anything for lunch yet. Going without wouldn't be the best idea, at least some crackers would line her stomach and be easier to hold down.
It felt good to eat a few prawn crackers, (Y/n) could feel the tension leaving her body and her stomach- and the baby, seemed to settle a bit more when she ate a few. It was so tempting to gorge out and eat the whole bag but (Y/n) knew better than to do that because it wouldn't help and it was daring to want to try some rice and noodles but she had to pace herself and take it slow. Maybe this afternoon she could try and eat something else.
That was a mistake.
(Y/n) pressed her palm to her forehead and closed her eyes, trying to take a few deep breaths but she could feel the panic bubbling up in her stomach. Eating had been a mistake and it had barely been twenty minutes since she had those crackers and they were churning in her stomach already.
She was going to be sick and she knew it. Pushing herself up onto unsteady feet, (Y/n) tried to smile and walk slowly but she broke out into a sprint for the toilets when she could feel bile rising at the back of her throat and bubbling up into her mouth.
She didn't make it to the toilets.
Her knees caved in next to the water fountain that held her weight for her as she clung to it and heaved onto the floor. Even the cup of water she had managed to have this morning came back up with vengence and everything spilled out onto the floor until she was coughing and spluttering. Her skin was burning against the cold fountain beside her and (Y/n) could feel her body beginning to shake.
"(Y/n)?"
"Fuck," (Y/n) choked on the word as well as the water that was still trying to escape her lips.
(Y/n) tried to lift her head to see her husband hurrying towards her but her head felt like it was suddenly full of lead and weighing towards the floor. Even her eyes burned when she looked up through hooded lashes to see a blurry image of Rafael coming at her at full speed.
"Querida, look at me." Rafael's voice was gently but full of worry when he reached her side. He dropped his briefcase to the floor and in an instant his arms were around her waist, keeping her to his side. "Come on, mi amour." His voice was soft and gentle and he let her lean her weight onto him and guide her slowly down the corridor to the toilets.
The moment they got into the toilets, (Y/n) felt like the room had spun on its axis and the only thing keeping her up when her legs caved in was Rafael's arms that swooped under her armpits and hoisted her up so she didn't collide with the toilet.
"Fuck! Sweetheart, you still with me?" He wasn't sure if she had fainted or if her energy had dwindled but when she buckled, he held her back to his chest before he slowly lowered her down to her knees in front of the toilet. Sighing in relief when he heard a small whimper from her lips before her head flopped on the toilet rim and she threw up again.
With a deep breath left Rafael's lips before he kneeled down in the small cubicle with her and gently pulled her hair away from her face.
She didn't look well. Her skin was blotched with sweat and she was burning up and her tired eyes could barely stay open and even though she had been sick, her lips were clearly dry and chapped telling him she hadn't been drinking enough.
It broke Rafael's heart when (Y/n) started to cry mixed with choked breaths when she felt like she could barely breathe at all. If he'd have known she was this bad he wouldn't have gone to the office this morning, he would have stayed home with her and made sure she either ate something or went to the hospital to be checked up because this wasn't good.
"Alright sweetheart, it's okay let it out. I'll talk to Liv and take you to hospital."
(Y/n) didn't want to be like this, she didn't want to be or feel like a burden because she should be able to look after herself and the baby, Rafael shouldn't always have to come to her rescue but it was good that he did. She didn't know where she would be without him.
It took a lot of effort for (Y/n) to push herself away from the toilet and lean back into Rafael but she instantly felt better and relaxed when she leaned into his chest and he wrapped his arms around her. She could feel him kissing her damp forehead and muttering something in Spanish against her hair but she couldn't work out what he said, all she could hear was static in her ears. Her head snuggled further into his chest and a murmur vibrated against her throat but she didn't know what she was trying to say.
"What?" Rafael leaned his chest back and tilted his head down to try and look at (Y/n) to work out what she said but his body tensed and his muscles tightened when she went limp against him and her head lolled against his chest. "Oh, sweetheart."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Rafi?"
"How do you feel, Querida?"
(Y/n) leaned into his touch when his hand smoothed over her cheek and he moved to sit on the edge of the bed she appeared to be laying in. She stayed quiet for a few moments, trying to work out what was happening and remember what she was doing before she woke up here.
She could remember throwing up at the precinct and being in the car with Rafael but everything else was made of cotton wool and clogged up in her mind.
"W-what...?" Her hazy vision looked down at her hand but she shuddered when she saw a needle stuck into her vein on the back of her hand connected to a drip. What were they giving her?
"No, no Querida leave it in, please." Rafael was quick to grab both her hands and hold them on his lap to stop her from trying to take out the IV. He couldn't have her rip it out like he'd seen her do before, there would be blood everywhere and it would only serve to hurt her. It was there to get her fluids up and to get the anti-emmetics into her system so she could start to eat properly without throwing everything back up again.
"How long have we been here?"
"About three hours I think. I brought you to the emergency room and they brought you up here, you're on an IV for fluids and some anti sickness meds so you can start to eat soon. They want to keep you in overnight and make sure you actually keep something down before we go."
He hadn't expected her to remember what happened this afternoon, she had seemed very out of sorts the few times she woke up.
He managed to get her in the car with the help of Carisi and she briefly woke up and then again when they were waiting downstairs in the emergency room. When she woke up again when they moved her into this room Rafael had pinned her down so they could put the cathiter in her vein and since then he'd made a few phone calls and waited for her to come back around again.
"I don't want to stay, Rafi, baby please-"
"You can baby me all you want but we're not leaving until they say you're ready." The way he rose his brow and quirked his lips made (Y/n)'s stomach flutter before she suddenly moved both their hands to rest on her tummy. It only now dawned on her that something may have happened or gone wrong with their baby. "The baby's fine." It was as if he could read her mind and see all the worries floating around and he wanted to quell each one to make her feel better.
He would burn the world down if she asked him to.
His smile suddenly softened and (Y/n) could see his eyes glossing over before he leaned closer until theri foreheads were touching.
"They did a quick ultrasound to double check everything was okay... we're having a baby boy, Querida."
I need you
Olivia benson x fem!reader
(Warnings): hurt/comfort, mentions of murder, cussing, Olivia being a simp and a softie
“Benson.” Olivia rasped our tiredly and you smiled at the sound of her voice. “Hey liv.” You said and you heard her sigh “what’s wrong y/n?” Olivia questioned you and you knew something was wrong, you just didn’t know what. “Nothing. I’m just really hungry and was hoping on your way home you could get me a cheese burger with extra extra pickles?” You asked her and she sighed once again making you frown.
“Maybe I don’t know. I’m really busy right now hon. I’m having a tough case and we really need to catch this guy.” She said while you were trying to understand why she can’t be home right now. “Please come home liv…please I miss you so much.” You said getting choked up and she felt her heart break at the sound of your voice but she had to catch this guy.
“I’m sorry baby. I’ll check in on you later okay?” She said and you whimpered back in response and hung up causing Olivia to run her hands through her hair angrily and sigh loudly. She feels terrible. All you wanted was a cheese burger and your wife. She understood that but she needed this guy to be caught and out of the streets for everyone’s safety, especially yours.
~ a couple hours later ~
Olivia went by McDonald’s on her way home to get you your cheese burger. It was around 11 o’clock when she finally got off of work. Fin came into her office a few moments after the phone call she had with you and filled her in about how they caught the guy and he’s in the station being processed. She couldn’t be more happy and grateful that he was finally Caught. But it dawned on her how she treated you and she felt awful.
So, Before she went home with your bag of food, she decided to go to the store to get you some of your favorite flowers, chocolates, snacks, and candy. She feels awful and she wanted to make it up to you. She headed back to y’all’s house and opened the door with her keys. The jingling sound made you startled and you jumped up and got a knife from the kitchen. You slowly walked to the door and was about to attack when someone grabbed your arm and turned on the light. “Liv?! What the fuck! You scared the shit out of me!” You said breathlessly and handed her the knife. “Well at least you weren’t almost stabbed by your own wife.” She chuckled and you rolled your eyes at her with a small smile on your face.
“I thought you were supposed to call to check in on me? But seeing you is much better.” You mumbled out and she sighed. She took you into her arms carefully, trying not to hit your bump as she held you in her muscular arms. “Well…we caught the bastard and decided to get you “im sorry for being a jerk of a wife” gift.” You looked at her confused until she held up some bags filled with your favorite things and your cheese burger. You immediately snatched the McDonald’s bag from her and started eating it. “Thk y-u..” you mumbled out with your mouth filled with food. She chuckled and kissed your forehead softly. “Anytime sweetheart. Here, let’s have you sit and I’ll give you a foot massage as I tell you what happened.” She explained and you nodded. She guided you to the couch with your food in hand and she sat you down as she placed your feet in her lap. She started massaging your feet and you moaned loudly which caused her to smirk.
“Oh get that smirk off your face you horn dog.” You grumbled out and she laughed which made you smile. You continued eating as Olivia told you a brief summary about the case since she can’t share all of the details to you. She told you that this guy was killing pregnant women and how she wanted to catch this son of a bitch in case he went after you. Olivia wouldn’t ever let anything happen to you, she will protect you with her life. You finished your meal as she finished her story and you gave her a soft smile. “I wish you would have told me…I honestly thought you were being distant with me…” you confessed to her and she gave you a sad look. “No sweetheart…im so sorry that I made you feel like that…I just really wanted to catch this bastard and I wanted him off the streets as soon as possible.” She explained to you and you leaned up to her and kissed her softly on her lips.
She kissed you back gently and held your face in her hands. The both of you pulled back and gave each other big smiles. “So…what else did you get me to eat.” You smirked and she laughed. “I got you your favorite chocolates, snacks, and candy.” She replied and you gasped excitedly making grabby hands at the bags on the floor near Olivia. She chuckled as she handed you the bags and you stared munching on them while Olivia watched you with a adoring look on her face. “Do you forgive me babygirl?” She asked you and you smiled at her. “Of course I do silly. I couldn’t stay mad at you. You were just doing your job I know that. I was just a little insecure I guess.” You said and she gave your forehead another kiss “I understand baby…but just know that I don’t distance myself from you on purpose. I just get so caught up in my work that sometimes Im distant. But just know that I love you so much darling.” She explained to you and you gave her a loving smile.
“I love you most liv.” “And I love you too little bean-son.” She joked and you giggled at the nickname she kept calling y’all’s unborn child. You felt the baby kick in response and you quickly laid Olivia’s hand on your bump and the baby kicked again which made Olivia break out a huge smile. She leaned down and gave your bump a gentle kiss. Olivia started talking to the baby as you ran your fingers through her short hair and she kept giving your stomach loving kisses.
A/n: my first Olivia benson imagine! I hope y’all enjoy and know that winter/Christmas requests are open for all the people that I write! Remember to stay hydrated and rest! I love y’all! :)
what about an Alt oneshot where the reader really struggles with Elliot leaving? Because Elliot was like a father to her so when she finds out hes gone she breaks down crying in Liv's arms. Liv has to have her in therapy because she struggles with feelings of abandonment and being unwanted like she becomes depressed?
Tumblr media
ᕚ---ᕘ
The sound of dripping water echoed in the bathroom. Darkness surrounded you and only a single, lonely candle stood on the edge of the bathtub. Its flame flickered in the gentle breeze that rushed through the tilted window, throwing dark, scurrying shadows on the bare white tires.
You had not been this low to the ground in ages but it was only a matter of time before your family broke. Things have not been going well for weeks between Olivia and her partner, who was like a father figure to you.
Quarrels with unrequited feelings and hurtful situation mixed with the incident at the precinct, where he shot a young woman, was the last straw. Elliot was gone. Swallowed up by the earth without saying goodbye. He had simply quit his job and disappeared.
With an idefinable gaze, you looked into the puny candle flame. You drew your knees up and laid your head on them. Sitting there, your arms wrapped tightly around your body. Lonely, lost and abandoned.
Everyone who ever loved you was gone. Only your mother was still here. But she, too, had her own life. Olivia had her new team, her important job and everything started to seem worthless around you. Just a girl who was only almost grown.
You swallowed hard and put your hand on your chest. Firmly, you pressed against your chest and ran your cold fingers over your sternum. Gasping for air, your nails clawed at thin skin, feeling the pain that wrapped itself around your heart and slowly covered it with black spots.
A single tear fell onto your bare knee and slowly ran down your lower leg, disappearing into the sea of water that encased you. Slowly, you lowered yourself into the bathwater until your body and head were completely submerged in the cool wet. The world around you obliberating and dwindling in waves, you lingered further on your thoughts.
This heart. Bruised and a witness to terribly painful losses. If only you could close this heart off, protect it from further pain, then you would finally be free. You would finally be the girl without ballast, finally be able to be able to love again without fear of abandonment.
You felt awful, started hating yourself even though it was the people you should hate for giving you love and stealing it again. For all the broken pieced they left your heart in.
"Y/n!" the matching face suddenly appeared to the muffled voice entering your ears, the expression bearing a worried and anxious grimace. Olivia quickly pushed her hands through the wall of water, grabbing your shoulders before pulling you up with a mighty jerk. "What the hell are you doing?"
You gasped, took a few deep breaths, and refilled your lungs with the oxygen it needed. The darknes had seduced you and made you forget that your body was already screaming for air while you were lost in your mind. "I-I am sorry"
Feeling the cold gradually sifting through your bones, crushing you and eating you from the inside out, you were thankful that your mother immediately grabbed a towel and wrapped it around your shoulders, gently stroking your upper arms.
There was no sound. Even the drops of water that fell from your damp hair seemed afraid to move. The silence between both of you was so stifling, that Olivia held her breath for several secounds before taking a cautious step towards you, sitting on the floor next to the bathtub before leaning against the wall.
"Y/n?" she breathed, listened strenously into the darkness and looking into your pale face, whose color once had a beautiful beige hue. The sight of her daughter was far more painful than she had ever thought possible and she had to restrain herself from letting tears flow.
A thousand small but sharp needles pierced her heart. The woman knew it had something to do with Elliot´s departure, shortly after telling you that you would probably never come back, you had completely changed character and turned distant. Yes, almost depressed. "I want you to see a therapist," she whispered in a trembling voice and reached out a hand that stroked a stray strand of hair from your face.
Your eyes instantly watered as you began to sniffle. "Was I not worth anything to him? Not even a goodbye?" you whimpered softly, ignoring the sentence that just left your mothers mouth. A single tear trickled down your cheeks, mixing with the pearls of bath water that dripped down your chin in unison.
"Why did he leave us?" you sobbed and she leaned forward, dropping her head onto yours. Your voice cracked, fading until your body shook with silent tears in her embrace. "I thought we were family. H-he was like a father to me!"
Olivia´s hand found yours and intertwined with your fingers gently, as if you would break if she made a wrong move. She understood the pain you endured, knew exactly what such an exit without warning could do to a soul. Especially one as young as yours.
That Elliot chose to escape his emotional problems by disappearing was typical for him. Still, she missed her partner. The warmth that surrounded his body. The perfume that gradually faded and was forgotten. The woman missed the stubborn guy with aggression problems. The man who was a friend to her, if not a lot more.
He was the first guy to show her that there could be a relationship between friendship and family. Strong and unique like she had never felt before in her life. They had solved the most diverse and dangerous cases and defeated the worst people.
Elliot was one of the most important people her daughter´s life, along with her and Amanda but now he was gone. Now she had to sweep up the shards he had left behind and glue them together.
She was willing to stand by you and follow in his footsteps to represent both sides of being a parent. It would be difficult, especially at first, but she knew you could both do it together.
Tears rolled freely down her cheeks as she broke out of her painful thoughts while standing up and slowly pulling your petrified and blunted body out of the bathtub. While she dried you off and dressed you, gently combin your wet hair and blow-drying it, you were completely absent to reality, staring blankly at the cold tiles decorating the sink.
Shivering and surrounded by inner coldness, you felt like freezing to death. It was too painful to fight it back. Cold was the pain you felt since he was gone, and you did not know if it would ever fade away.
Olivia Benson x Reader
A little PWP never hurt anyone right? Cause that’s definitely what this is
Tumblr media
“Hey baby,” Olivia smiles, cozying up behind you as you take off your shoes. For once you arrived home after her. You smile as she presses kisses to your neck behind your ear, sighing as her hands slip under the hem of your shirt. One hand starts to make its way into your pants and you groan, stopping her.
“What’s the matter, baby? You don’t want to?” She asks, backing off immediately.
“No, I really really want to,” you turn around to reassure her, “but I can’t, my period started today.”
“Well that doesn’t mean we can’t,” she shrugs, smiling mischievously at you.
“I know, but I just don’t like the blood, I’m sorry. I really do want to though,” you sigh, “I think I’m just gonna go shower, you could join?”
“Hey, you don’t have to apologize,” she laughs, “you go ahead, I’ll be there in a minute.”
You pull her in for a kiss before heading to the bathroom and flipping on the water.
The water heats up as you strip down, the warm spray hitting your skin as you step in, your stiff muscles finally able to relax after your long day. You close your eyes and let the water hit your face, jumping slightly when arms wrap around your torso.
“Didn’t mean to scare you,” Olivia giggles, pressing a kiss to your shoulder. You turn in her arms and pull her into a kiss, your hands roaming her body despite yourself. She hums as your hands trace over her skin and you move to kiss down her neck.
“I thought you didn’t want to do anything?” She asks breathlessly as you suck a mark onto the swell of her breast.
“I still wanna touch you,” you murmur into her skin, taking a nipple into your mouth. She groans as you suck, your hand roaming down her stomach and slipping between her legs.
“You needed this, huh?” You smile as you feel how wet she is and she whines, bucking her hips towards your hand. You circle her entrance, getting your fingers wet before moving to her clit for a moment. Her head drops to your shoulder as you slide a finger into her, making you laugh as she immediately whines for more.
“Sh, I got you,” you murmur, slipping in a second finger along side the first. You pump your fingers, curling them inside her and making her groan. The spongy spot is easy to find and you stroke it repeatedly, her legs already beginning to shake. As you drop down to your knees, she wobbles unsteadily for a second before gripping your shoulders hard when you draw her clit into your mouth. You know she’s been waiting for this, her muscles clenching around your fingers even though you’ve just really started. You hollow your cheeks around her clit, and she cries out, one of her hands sliding into your hair to pull you closer. A few more flicks of your tongue and she’s coming around your fingers, pulling you up by your hair when the stimulation becomes too much. She pulls you into a kiss, moaning at her taste on your mouth.
“I know you said you don’t like it, but I know how turned on you get on your period and I think you’ll feel a lot better if you get to come. Can I try something?” She asks, smiling sweetly at you.
“Of course,” you smile, always trusting her. She turns you around in her arms, and lifts the shower head attachment off the wall. She changes the setting it’s on and you realize what she’s doing and you can’t believe you hadn’t thought of it. She passes the spray across your nipples teasingly and down your stomach to get you used to the feeling before directing it between your legs. You jolt as it passes over your clit and you feel Olivia smile into your skin. Her spare hand comes up to tweak your nipples as she directs the water over your opening for a moment before moving it back to your clit. The water pressure is just on the right side of too much, immediately making you clench around nothing. She moves the shower head just enough to run the water back and forth over the bundle of nerves.
“Oh my god,” you breathe, bucking your hips towards her hand as she continues her small movements.
“Good, baby?” She asks, kissing and nipping along your neck before settling in to suck a mark near your collarbone.
“Yes, s-so good,” you moan, gasping as your high hits you unexpectedly fast. She’s still moving the water against you, and you can already feel another orgasm welling up inside you, barely done with the first. You don’t push her away, letting the second one pull you down into another cresting wave of pleasure. You squirm in her arms as she holds you up, aftershocks coursing through you. Once you calm down, you expect Olivia to turn off the water, but she surprises you by pressing it directly to your clit, giving you no reprieve. Your hand shoots up to clutch at her hand over your breast, your head falling back onto her shoulder.
“Ohhh fuck, Liv- ahh,” you whine, unsure if you’re trying to move closer or further from the torturous pleasure.
“One more, sweetheart. You can do it, that’s it,” her voice sounds fuzzy to your ears, as white hot pleasure builds between your legs. Olivia holds you steady as you come again, your legs shaking. You breathe heavily as she shuts the water off, dropping the shower head in favor of holding on to you.
“You okay?” She asks, smiling against your neck.
“Yes, thank you,” you breathe, trying to regain your footing properly. She wraps her arms around your waist, pressing sweet kisses to your shoulder and just holding you up until you can feel your legs again.
“You were right, I do feel better,” you giggle, turning in her embrace to kiss her.
“I knew you would,” she grins, “c’mon, let’s go cuddle.”
Forget Me Not
Olivia looked at her carefully. “You don’t look too great, Alex, how about I go home with you? I can work on all this from the apartment.” She began packing up papers.
Alex’s shoulders slumped a little in relief.
Olivia extended an arm for her to latch onto. “C’mon, Lexie, let’s get you home.”
They walked back to the apartment, hand in hand, Alex distractedly following Liv as she always did, considering the detective had a far better sense of direction. It took about ten minutes before Alex realized they were walking towards their old apartment, the one they lived in before Emma started school.
Without a word, she squeezed Olivia’s hand and turned them in the correct direction.
