ID: a sped up process video for a digital painting. The painting is a portrait of a young elven woman with warm brown skin and hair styled in a french braid. She is facing forward with a concerned look on her face as she stares up and to the right of the viewer. On the canvas next to the painting there is a black and white reference photo of actress Varada Sethu. At the beginning of the video the woman's hair and clothing are not colored in, and her skin is a flat brown color. As the video progresses, her skin gains dimension through hard highlights and shadows that are then smoothed and blended. The artist paints the lips on a separate layer. Then, artist fills in the whites of the eyes and colors the irises brown and amber. The black hair and green clothing become colored in as the layers for each are revealed; they also go from flat to shaded. The process cuts to a version where the woman's eyes are shaded with more depth. The final shot of the video is a static image of the final portrait. The background is green and the artist's signature is "L-T-Bee." The video has no sound. End ID.
Trennia process! I'll link to the finished piece in a reblog

I would like to request a one-shot where the female reader is a paramedic and Jack from Now You See Me has a crush on her and keeps doing things that result in minor injuries in the hopes that she will be the one to patch him up
i will love now you see me (and dave franco) until the day that i die
masterlist

If you were going to thank the Four Horsemen for anything, you’d owe them a great deal just for getting you out of yet another boring workplace training. Other people across the world can love the magicians for the money they scatter across their performances, or the thrill of getting into one of their exclusive shows, or just to appreciate someone getting one up on the FBI. There are many reasons to be a fan of the Horsemen, and yours has to be the most mundane.
In your defense, you’ve been hideously overworked for what must be years at this point, and at least this is one afternoon you can relax. You knew what you were signing up for when you decided to become a paramedic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate a bit of down time when it comes to you.
The marvelous performances of the Four Horsemen don’t usually involve a whole lot of injury, but ever since one of the original shows ended with an FBI agent getting tackled by fifteen people under deep hypnosis, it was determined that having a few paramedics around couldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Usually, the shows are in lavish places across the planet, but this time, they announced that they’d be putting on a display right in your city.
You were excited when you first heard the news, much like anyone else. Even if all tickets sold out within a few minutes, just the thought that the world famous magicians would be so close to you was thrilling. There could be magic right in front of your nose and you wouldn’t even know it unless they snapped their fingers. Maybe they’d cross your path without you realizing it. Maybe they’d even stay next door to your home.
Your schedule was filled during their performance, so you knew there wasn’t a chance that you’d actually get to see a second of their show. There will always be YouTube videos, someone uploading a grainy video from the nosebleeds of whatever venue hall the Horsemen have decided to occupy, but it wouldn’t be the same as being there in person.
You’d assumed you’d be distracting yourself from thoughts of whatever exquisite show was going on down the street with some lovely mandatory trainings. Unless your squad was called upon for an accident, you’d have to content yourself with lackluster meetings and the like.
That was the case until you got the call that you’d actually be at the event hall. In a professional capacity, of course, but still, it was closer than you thought possible. The city had decided that it would be a good thing to have a few medical professionals on hand just in case something happened. There had been a handful of faintings and a small stampede at the last show, so you can understand why you and a few of your coworkers were called out here.
Most of you will be staying outside near your ambulance, parked just out of view. One or two paramedics are stationed inside, but you’re all going within the venue now just to get a feel for how the place is set up. Odds are nothing major happens, but it’s still fun to peer around and imagine what might be going on later that day.
The show won’t start for another hour or so, but the Horsemen are still kind enough to greet you and point out the major entrances and exits. You aren’t allowed to look around too closely, of course; half the fun of the magic is that no one knows it, not even the medical staff, but you can guess at the areas they’re keeping from you and what that might entail.
In all honesty, you’re kind of distracted from peering too closely behind various curtains by one of the Horsemen. Although you’ve never been to one of their shows before, that didn’t stop you from picking out a favorite:  Jack Wilder, the cutest, or so you tell your friends between bouts of laughter and over drinks.
And, by all twists of fate, he seems most interested in you. He stutters twice over his one-syllable first name, and tries both to shake your hand and hold it, too. He got distracted when you smiled at him, you think, but that didn’t stop the rest of the Horsemen from shooting each other knowing glances, especially when Jack insisted that you be one of the paramedics to stay inside the venue. Just in case, you know.
The rest of the Horsemen file away to their dressing rooms or wherever they go to practice their tricks one last time, but Jack sticks around a little longer. The other paramedic staying in the venue with you opts to scout out the surrounding hallways, but you take the seat Jack offers you and he sits down too, grinning like he’s the audience and you’re the main attraction.
“Don’t you have to go back with the rest and rehearse your show?” You ask, teasing him lightly.
Jack shakes his head a little too quickly. “No, no, I’m good. Always good. Besides, if I did that, how would I get to know you?”
You laugh. “I suppose that’s a good point. Do you flirt with all of the paramedics you meet at your shows or just me?”
“Only the prettiest ones,” Jack grins, “although you’ve blown any competition out of the water, I can assure you that.”
You can feel your cheeks heating up when he says it, and you look away quickly to regain your composure. “That’s nice of you to say.”
You can still see the ghost of Jack’s smile out of the corner of your eye, blinking in your mind like you’ve stared too long at the sun. “I only speak the truth, of course.”
He looks like he has plenty more to say, but Daniel Atlas appears at the corner of the stage, looking irritable and tapping the watch at his wrist. “We need you, Jack. Quit flirting and help us, will you?”
Jack groans. “Always such a control freak. I hate to leave you alone like this.”
You swat him lightly on the shoulder. “I’ll survive somehow. Go handle Daniel.”
Jack grins again, but he’s still looking disappointed. “Can I talk to you after the show, at least?”
You make a face. “I don’t know. We’ll probably handle any injuries, if there are any, then head back pretty quickly.”
Jack’s brow furrows, thinking something through. “Alright. Okay. That makes sense. I’ll be sorry to miss you, though.”
You smile up at him. “It was nice to meet you, Jack.”
“Nice to meet you too,” he says in a rush, standing up quickly when Daniel shouts for him again.
You let yourself sit there for a moment or two longer, giddy over the undivided attention of one of the prettier boys you’ve had the pleasure of meeting, then head back out of the performance hall to go find your other paramedic. They’re a friend of yours, have been for a while, and so they greet you with a raised eyebrow and a question about if you’ve managed to secure a second date with your little magician for later that night.
You roll your eyes, but inside your heart can’t help but do a slow loop in your chest. He’s certainly charming, the Horseman, you only hope that his affections were genuine and not him trying to set up a trick for later that evening.
You’re able to peek through a window to see most of the show, which is as stunning as all the critics claim. You head back to the ambulance once the performance, tending to a few minor injuries like people forgetting insulin or getting their hand stuck in a door on the way out. You’re assuming it’ll be another ordinary day until you look up and see Jack standing in front of you again.
He grimaces at you, embarrassed. “Managed to slice myself open a little during the show. Would you mind patching me up, Doc?”
You reach for some bandages behind you with a grin. “Too cocky with our tricks, were we?”
Jack nods, feigning sadness. “My pride may never recover. Can I get a kiss while you’re here? You know, to help with the healing process?”
You arch a brow. “I don’t think that kissing an open wound would be all that sanitary. I can’t recommend it.”
“What about here instead?” Jack asks, tapping his cheek.
You laugh at the hopeful expression on his face, then, in a rush of adrenaline you expect just as little as Jack, lean forward and do as told. The look in his eyes could trick any girl into falling for him, and if you hadn’t already had an inkling of feelings for him, perhaps you have a little more now than before.
He’s pulled away soon enough, but you don’t think you’ll ever forget that day. It’s certainly a memory you’ll treasure for a while. All’s well that ends well, though, and you’re in the ambulance driving back soon enough, staring out at the road zipping by you like you’ll be able to sight him again if you just look hard enough, just want him enough.
You don’t know how long the Horsemen will be staying in town, if they haven’t already left, yet one week later, the news starts blaring headlines about how the magicians’ next show will be here again. Here, in your city. In your reach. It seems impossible– they don’t repeat locations without a good reason, but yet so it is.
You insist a little quickly on being a part of the paramedic team to cover the new venue, even though the times don’t quite line up on your schedule. A few days’ time finds you waiting by the ambulance after the second show of the by now very famous Horsemen, looking around with too much foolish hope.
You’re about to give up on the idea that you’d ever see Jack again– who were you kidding, after all, thinking that he’d be interested in you more than a passing crush on a pretty face– and then there he is, heading quickly down the stairs, walking directly towards you.
He holds up his hand, and you can make out a small dash of blood before he’s excitedly telling you about how he managed to cut himself again, can you believe that, and how are you anyway? Jack didn’t see you in the venue, only two other paramedics, and he was starting to think that you weren’t coming until he looked out and saw you.
You listen to his delighted wave of words, then speak once you’re able to. “This is a pretty small wound, Wilder. I’m assuming you would be able to patch it up by yourself.”
Jack’s face falls. “Shoot, you’re right. Wait, I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere.”
You laugh when he turns to run, grabbing his hand so he can’t leave. “Are you going to go back inside so you can make a worse wound? That’s absurd, you know that.”
Jack’s eyes widen almost imperceptibly, caught in the act. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. No magician would ever fake an injury.”
“Not even to talk to a paramedic they like?” You ask, the picture of innocence.
Jack chuckles. “Well, maybe in those circumstances. I feel like it’s understandable, though. I don’t want to distract you from your work, you know, but I do want to see you. A lot, actually.”
You haven’t let go of his hand yet, you realize, but you find that you don’t really want to. “Alright,” you tell him, “How about something else? I’m free for dinner tomorrow night if that works with you.”
Jack’s eyes light up, fireworks in rowan wood. “That’s perfect, actually. I’d love that.”
Someone appears behind him– Henley, fresh from their show. “Are you two finally going out? Good, he insisted on switching the location of our second performance to be here again because he couldn’t ask the first time.”
Jack turns around, expression dawning with horror. “You said you weren’t going to do something like this. You said.”
Henley just grins. “I couldn’t resist.”
“I’m just glad you moved the second show,” you smile, “I was worried we wouldn’t be able to talk again.”
“We’re going to talk a lot,” Jack promises, “I just need Henley to apologize for interrupting.”
“Not a chance,” she says gleefully, much to Jack’s dismay.
They’ve been lingering for a while now, so you’re not surprised when Henley starts to head away again. Jack looks between her and you again, knowing that it’s time to go.
“Text me,” he pleads, “we’ll set this up, alright?”
You watch him go, and it takes a few minutes before you realize that you don’t have Jack’s number. When you reach in your pocket for your phone, though, you notice a playing card stuck to the back of the case. It’s the Queen of Hearts, and there’s a number scrawled hastily on the surface.
You laugh to yourself. Falling in love with a Horseman certainly won’t be boring, but who would want that? You have Jack. The best trick was winning him, and you’ve come up with the best hand. Nothing could make you happier.

How about 141 boys with a S/O who used to date Makarov, but like before he started his career as a terrorist
Oooh I've always wanted to do one of these
141 With a S/O Who Used To Date Makarov
Pairings: 141 x Male Reader (btw guys this is my default but I will write fem reader if you request it!) (No use of Y/N)
Notes: You'll get a bit of background, but essentially we're using my headcanons for Makarov's backstory in this, so if you don't understand after reading you may want to take a moment to read that! Also wasn't sure if Alejandro and Farah were included in this cause I think they're 141 but also they may just be like temporary members for whenever needed so??? I left them out.
Warnings: Possessiveness, implied abuse/kidnapping

Price:
Silence hung around the room for several moments, everyone standing tense as the offending video stood paused on the last frame, clicking over itself. No one knew quite what to say or do and most of the members of the 141 were looking between their captain and one of their lieutenants. The entire team knew about their relationship.
"Everyone out," Price's voice was harsh and it only took a few moments for the room to fully clear out, Gaz and Soap practically tripping over one another in an attempt to escape the stifling tension that had filled the room. Ghost and Roach were at least a bit more subtle with their rush to leave.
There was a moment of silence when it was finally just the two of them. Price was staring hard but his boyfriend was doing his best to avoid his gaze. "So," Price started carefully, "Do you want to tell me?"
"There's nothing to tell," his boyfriend responded carefully, still avoiding his gaze. His eyes trailed back over toward the small screen, frozen on the face of a familiar figure. He looked much the same and yet so different from the boy that he'd followed into the military. It broke his heart in an odd way.
"You," Price took in a calming breath, pushing himself away from the table and turning away, "You can't lie about this. Tell me, please."
There was another moment of quiet between them. "I don't love him anymore," his boyfriend spoke quietly, "if that's what you're worried about."
Price wheeled around to face him, his eyes hard, "That's what you think I'm worried about?" He moved around the table to him in several quick strides. Despite the hard look on his face, his hands were soft as he tilted his face toward him, forcing their eyes to connect, "That isn't what this is about. I'm worried about you. I'm worried about what he might have done to you. I'm worried about what he might want to do to you."
He turned away, unable to hold Price's gaze any longer. The man was so intense with his affection and care at times. It could be overwhelming for him. It was hard for him to talk about these things. His past wasn't exactly his favorite thing to discuss. He preferred to leave his past where it was. Where it couldn't hurt him anymore.
After a moment, Price gave a deep sigh. "Listen," his voice was soft, "you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I just...I need you to know that I won't judge you. I need you to know that at the end of the day, all I want is to know that you're alright."
"Makarov," he started quietly, his eyes moving back to the image on the screen, "We were raised together." He spoke carefully trying not to wince at the memories of that cold orphanage where they spent their childhood. "We were close. He was...different then. Sweeter, not obsessed with power and revenge. When he went into Spetsnaz, I followed."
He shook his head at himself, remembering the two's secretive relationship, the shared kisses when they would see each other between work with their squads. He remembered the way that Makarov had started to change as well. The little things, little things that were probably only noticeable to him.
"When he was discharged, when I found out what he'd done, I broke things off." He looked to Price, "I swear that was it. I broke things off and I haven't seen him since. I don't know what he was talking about," he pointed at the little screen, "I promise I have no idea what he was talking about."
Price grabbed his hand tugging him closer to press them together. He leaned their foreheads together, just sharing the space between them for a moment before nodding, "I believe you." He pressed closer, wrapping his arms around his boyfriends waist. "I believe you. Just," he seemed to hesitate for a moment, his face twisting up with something akin to rage, "if he tries anything," his voice was much harsher, "I'll fucking hang him."
"He's a terrorist," he reminded Price with a low voice, "We're going to bring him in and, no matter what sort of feelings he thinks he still has for me, nothing is going to happen." He tugged Price closer to him, pressing their lips together for a moment in a sweet kiss.
With the sweet slide of their lips together, he could feel Price relaxing in his touch. His relationship with Makarov was long over and, no matter what his former lover wanted, he knew that Price never let the terrorist even get close. He knew that Price was all that he wanted.
Tumblr media
Ghost
"Simon, this is ridiculous," he sighed, turning his head to watch his boyfriend pace across the floor of the safe house, "I will be fine."
"Makarov sent you roses," Ghost shot back lowly, still pacing around. His mask was still on, something rare for when it was just the two of them alone. It let his boyfriend know how serious he was, how on edge he was. "He knows you. He's managed to find something out about my personal life and now he's targeting you."
His boyfriend could feel guilt eating at his chest and he was quick to look away. He knew about Ghost's past, he knew what happened to his boyfriend's family. He knew how much this was stressing Ghost out. "It isn't because of you," he spoke quietly, shame tinting his words.
He'd never told Ghost, he'd never told anyone. Running away was the most he'd been able to do. When things got tough, when he realized what the man he loved had become, he'd taken the coward's way out. He'd run and hidden and changed who he was in an attempt to avoid his past. Now it was back to haunt him.
Ghost continued pacing, "We have to keep you somewhere safe. If Makarov gets his hands on you, he'll kill you."
"I don't think he wants to kill me. Simon, I need to-"
"I need to get you a gun," he muttered, "I'll show you how to use it. You shouldn't have to use it, you aren't meant to get mixed up in this." He tugged at the edge of his mask aggressively, as though he wanted to tear at the material.
"Simon," he tried again. He had to tell him, "Come sit down, there's something-"
"We'll need to move locations too. The more we move the harder it will be for Makarov to take you. We can-"
"Simon!" He didn't like to yell, but his boyfriend wouldn't listen. He was so lost in his mind, so lost in his stress that he needed something to bring him back. His sudden shout seemed to do the job.
Ghost stopped in his place, frozen with wide eyes as he looked at his boyfriend. His boyfriend gave him an apologetic smile before patting the spot on the couch next to him and slowly motioning for Ghost to join him. There was a moment of silence that passed before Ghost hesitantly moved, sitting close enough that their legs were pressed together.
He took a moment, taking in a deep calming breath before speaking, "Makarov isn't after me because he figured out who you are." He held a hand up, stopping Ghost from speaking. He took another moment, trying to work up the courage to say what he wanted to. "Makarov knows me because we were together, years ago."
There was a long pause. "When you say together?"
"We dated," he looked away from Ghost, feeling heat run through him. "Before he was a terrorist. When I found out what he'd done, that he was working with the ultranationalists, I broke things off and ran." Hesitantly, he reached out to take one of Ghost's hands in his own, "I'm sorry I never told you. But this, him sending me those flowers, coming after me, it isn't because of you." He looked away from Ghost's blank gaze, nerves and shame eating at him. He wasn't quite sure how the man would react, but he understood that this could be too much for the man that he loved. "I understand if you-"
He didn't get a chance to finish as he was tugged into his boyfriend's chest and wrapped up in his arms. He was quick to relax against Ghost's chest, burying his face in his warmth as a kiss was pressed against the top of his head. "Thank you for telling me," Ghost's voice was still serious. He pulled back and took his boyfriend's face in his hands, pulling him close. There was a hint of something new in his eyes, something low and possessive, "He won't lay a finger on you. I'll tear him apart before he can."
Tumblr media
Gaz
"C'mon, say something," he begged, watching Gaz's face closely. His boyfriend was frozen in place, his expression frozen in shock and horror. He should have expected this. "Gaz, please."
Gaz still didn't speak, he just blinked at him, eyes wide. His boyfriend could feel anxiety clawing at his chest and creeping up his throat. He started to pace around, rubbing at his face as he waited for the verdict from the man that he loved. He should have expected this. He should have known that he couldn't just explain things and expect everything to be fine.
He had to explain though, he just had to. He couldn't tell Gaz and have it come up during a mission. He couldn't let Makarov use it against him. His team needed to know, Gaz needed to know. He'd thought it would be easiest to start with Gaz, but now he wasn't too sure. Maybe he should have started with Price instead.
"You," Gaz's voice was high, but his sudden words stopped his boyfriend in his tracks, "You used to date Makarov? The terrorist?"
"It was before he was a terrorist!" His boyfriend rushed to explain, his voice nervous. "Listen he was still Spetsnaz and he was so nice! He hadn't done anything then but I swear when he did start doing things and I found out I broke it off! I haven't seen him since!" He stepped closer to Gaz, trying to plead his case. "I promise that I'm not-"
Laughter interrupted his speech and he found himself frozen in his place. Gaz was laughing? His shoulders were shaking and one of his hands was covering his mouth, but his laughter and the amusement in his eyes was clear to see. It sent a flush over his skin. His boyfriend was laughing about this?
"I'm sorry," Gaz held a hand out to him, his laughter growing louder and louder, "I'm, oh my god, I'm sorry." He doubled over, his hands on his knees to support him as he continued laughing, "You used to date Makarov," the words seemed to only add to his amusement.
"Stop laughing!" He complained, his cheeks a bright red as Gaz nearly fell to the ground with the force of his laughter, "It isn't funny!" His words didn't stop his boyfriend's laughter and he could do nothing but stand with embarrassment running through him as Gaz continued laughing. "I expected you to be mad," he grumbled out after a few minutes as Gaz's laughter started to finally calm down.
"Would," Gaz wiped tears from his eyes, "Would you prefer me to be mad?"
"I guess not," his boyfriend looked away from him with a huff, "I would prefer it if you hadn't laughed at me though."
"Baby," Gaz had a grin on his face as he stepped forward and wrapped his boyfriend up in his arms, "I wasn't laughing at you I just," he paused for a moment, chuckling again, "You have to admit that it's funny."
"How is it funny?" He leaned his head against Gaz's chest with a grumpy pout.
"My boyfriend," Gaz started with a grin, "Who is so overly cautious about everyone that he interacts with, and he of all people ended up dating a terrorist. An ugly terrorist too, in my opinion."
"You're certainly a step up from him," his boyfriend couldn't help but grin and tuck himself closer to Gaz's chest.
"Only a step up?" Gaz complained. Still, he had a grin on his face as he pulled back to press their lips together. The kiss was sweet, as most of the kisses that he and Gaz shared were. After a moment they pulled back, just enough that Gaz could mutter, "You know we have to tell the team about this right?"
"I'm already dreading it," his boyfriend pulled him back into a kiss.
Tumblr media
Soap
"Why didn't you tell me!" Soap followed close behind him, both of them storming into the locker room in quick strides. His boyfriend had a scowl on his face but was trying desperately to ignore the clawing guilt and anxiety in his chest.
"It wasn't important," he shot back, starting to strip himself of his gear with shakey hands. "It still isn't important."
"Not important?" Soap stopped next to him, tossing his bag on the bench next to his boyfriend's discarded tac vest. "If you don't consider that important, I hate to see what you do."
He gave a deep sigh before turning to face Soap, crossing his arms over his chest with an indignant huff. "What do you want me to say?" He met his boyfriend's eyes, wincing at the anger that was so clearly there.
"I want you to explain," Soap stepped closer to him, taking one of his hands in his own and tugging him closer. He avoided Soap's gaze, looking away from him as things grew too intense. When he was so close he could see the worry that was so clearly undercutting his boyfriend's anger. It was much easier to handle when he could only see the anger, it was so much more familiar.
Soap wasn't like his past relationships. Soap was sweeter and more excitable and he'd never let his anger or his rage paint him into something that he wasn't. It was much easier to separate himself though. To justify his desire to push away if Soap was angry.
"You already know everything," he muttered, allowing himself to be pulled even closer until he and Soap were chest to chest.
"I don't think I do," Soap spoke carefully, "All I know is that you used to be with him and that apparently that," he seemed to struggle for a moment to contain the venom he was feeling, "bastard wants you back."
His boyfriend shrugged hesitantly, shame creeping up his spine as he remembered the last time that he'd seen Makarov, when he'd realized that a man that he'd trusted all his life had been lying to him. "I was raised with him," he spoke carefully, "I trusted him, he broke that trust, so I ended things."
"Did you," Soap seemed to hesitate for a moment, "Did you know that he was..."
His boyfriend gave a humorless chuckle, "When he was discharged, he told me it was all false accusations. That they needed a fall guy and chose him. I believed him." He looked up at Soap with wide pleading eyes, "When I found out that he'd joined the ultranationalists, I knew that he'd lied to me. I swear to god that I broke things off then."
"So what Makarov said," Soap's hands began to slowly rub up and down his arms, trying to comfort him even when he was worried himself. "You're not going to-"
"I'd never join him." He spoke seriously, stepping closer to Soap to whisper softly, "I'd never betray you. I swear."
Soap gave a relieved sigh, like that was all that he needed to hear. "Thank fuck," his whisper was muffled toward the end as he pressed closer to his boyfriend, connecting their mouths in a passionate kiss. All he needed was the reassurance that his boyfriend was his.

Roach
"You are not doing this, absolutely not," Roach's voice was harsh and he was giving a hard glare to the general who'd suggested it.
"Roach-"
"No," Roach shook his head, "This is crazy. I am not letting you do this. Makarov would kill you!"
Laswell looked between Roach and his boyfriend for several moments, a knowing look on her face. "You haven't told him," she guessed, pulling a wince from him and a confused look from Roach.
"Told me what?" Roach looked between them carefully, "What's going on?"
"We'll step out," Laswell motioned for the general to follow her and, though he looked grumpy about it, he begrudgingly stood to follow her out of the room. "Take your time," she gave him a small, supporting smile before fully leaving the room.
Silence hung around them for several moments. He did his best to avoid Roach's gaze, his hands tightening in his clothes for support. "What was Laswell talking about?" Roach's voice was quiet.
The words hung in the air for a few moments, sitting between them heavily. Finally, he worked up the courage to respond, "They didn't choose me randomly."
Roach moved around the couch he'd been standing behind, taking a quick seat beside his boyfriend before taking his hands in his own. "What do I need to know," he asked quietly, his thumbs rubbing circles onto the back of his boyfriend's hands.
Even in this moment, even when he thought that his boyfriend was hiding something from him, he was trying to provide him with some form of comfort.
"Makarov and I...we were together. Years ago." He moved closer to Roach, looking up at him seriously as he continued, "When I found out that he was working with the untranationalists, I tried to break things off."
"Tried?" Roach spoke carefully, but his boyfriend could hear the deep concern in his voice.
"He'd changed too much at that point," his boyfriend looked away, avoiding his gaze, "He, uh, well, he refused to let me leave. Tried to lock me up. Soon as I got the chance I ran, came to the US Embassy for help. Laswell is the one who helped me dissappear."
Roach was silent for a long moment, just taking in the information he'd just been given. He hid his reaction well, keeping his face politely neutral. His boyfriend knew him well though, he could read all of the microexpressions that he tried to conceal. He could read the barely contained rage that Roach was trying to hide. "I'm sorry," he muttered after a moment, "I should have told you."
That seemed to bring Roach back into the moment and his hands clenched around his boyfriend's. "I'm not mad at you," he spoke quickly, already knowing where his boyfriend's mind had gone. He tugged himself closer, wrapping him up against his chest with loving strokes of his hands. "You aren't going undercover," he spoke quietly, "You aren't going near Makarov ever again. I'll never let him get anywhere close to you again."

Tumblr media
Slayed. Okay, now go on n enjoy the extra-long, 3k oneshot!!
-------------
JEALOUSY, JEALOUSY
"TODAY, THE BETA SQUAD DOES ANOTHER PATHETIC ATTEMPT AT A COOKING VIDEO!" Chunkz had yelled the introduction before the groups were introduced: Big Aneson Gib, AJ and Sharky on one team, and Niko, Kenny and Olivia on the other team.
Gib and Olivia were the featured guests for the video, and Niko was secretly thrilled to have Olivia on his team. Despite nobody catching on- Niko had been... seeing Olivia for quite some time. Stress on the "seeing", as he didn't know whether it was really romantic. He didn't really know if she even liked him.
All they'd done was filmed a "public pranks in the library" video and gone to grab a coffee afterwards, catching up a week later in the same café to edit the video together before ending up going on a walk through Primrose Park... They could have all been friendly gestures, at the end of the day.
But their meetups gave Niko butterflies, regardless.
"Okay, what cake are we making?" Olivia pulled the cook book from the desk and began flicking through the pages. Niko leaned over her shoulder to try and catch a glimpse of what options there were, though Kenny seemed to beat him to it.
"Oo we should do the carrot cake," Kenny pointed the cake out- topped with buttercream and sprinkled walnuts.
"Isn't that a bit ambitious?" Niko asked, scrunching his brows together in confusion. Kenny couldn't cook to save his life and Niko knew that between the two of them they weren't very likely to produce an edible cake.
"Ambitious but... seems do-able." Olivia nodded in approval. "I make carrot cake quite a bit for my neighbour so we have a bit of experience at least."
"You make food for your neighbour?!" Kenny repeated incredulously, before grinning and offering a wink as he said: "Damn, where do you live and can I move in with you?"
Niko furrowed his brows in confusion. Was Kenny trying to flirt with her?
Kenny might not have been flirting but it made Niko uncomfortable regardless. He hadn't actually introduced his friends to Olivia, and he felt like considering this was Kenny and Olivia's first meeting, they seemed to get on better than Niko had expected. Especially as Niko then watched as Olivia giggled at Kenny, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and looking down in flattery.
Niko felt an odd sinking in his chest- all the way down until there was a miserable lump in Niko's stomach.
Kenny was flirting.
And Niko was jealous.
"Right then," Niko clapped a hand on either's shoulders, pushing his body between theirs to force them apart. "Let's start making, then. What ingredients do we need?"
Niko and Kenny were whisked away to the fridge in search of milk, butter, carrots and a few more items whilst Olivia sifted through the pantry.
"You good, bro?" Kenny checked up as they both searched for the butter.
"Fabulous, fantastic, perfect." Niko listed off the words, concealing the twinge of annoyance behind a smile before turning to check Kenny's expression. "Why'd you ask?"
"Dunno, seemed a bit tense." Kenny shrugged before pulling the butter from the fridge with a grin, patting Niko's shoulder as he shut the fridge and picked up all the ingredients they'd scavenged. "Hey, Olivia's nice isn't she?"
"Yeah... Lovely." Niko spoke slowly before gritting his teeth, holding the milk carton with two hands to avoid throwing it at the back of Kenny's thick head.
"Nice face as well," Kenny grinned before they returned to their station, dropping the ingredients besides Olivia's dry ingredients. She glanced up from the scales, flashing a smile.
"Great, thanks Kenny," She smiled at Kenny as though Niko weren't there at all. Was this some sick prank Kenny and her had orchestrated to tease him? Was she purposefully ignoring him?
Kenny seemed to bask in the praise though, as he grinned cockily and leaned against the workbench besides her, exuding confidence as he made talk.
"What can I do to help?" Kenny asked, picking up an egg and tossing it up, catching it cleanly and doing it again.
"You can try crack an egg into a separate bowl." Olivia instructed before (finally) turning to Niko, who had tried to lean against the workbench like Kenny had, but Niko simply felt like he looked a bit silly. Out of place and too tall to be leaning against the bench. And he had a feeling if he even tried to play catch with an egg like Kenny was he'd make an even bigger mess of himself. "We need four eggs so you can do two as well, Niko."
Niko nodded enthusiastically, puffing his chest and putting an egg in either hand.
"I can crack an egg without any shells getting in." Kenny bragged, neatly cracking his egg against the counter before the inside smoothly plopped into the bowl.
"That's easy stuff." Niko laughed, though he couldn't remember the last time he'd he'd cracked an egg. He followed what Kenny had done and much to his surprise he didn't spill the egg or allow any eggshell into the bowl.
"Can you do it one handed, though?" Kenny neatly cracked his egg with just one hand, impressing even Olivia as she nodded approvingly from behind.
"Impressive, Kenny." She appraised, as Kenny took a sweeping bow with a smirk only Niko could see.
"Well, I..." Niko searched his mind for a way to one up Kenny. He wanted Olivia to praise him like that. "Can do that with my eyes closed."
"Can you really?" Olivia asked with a raised brow. She was clearly dubious but still seemed interested. "If you can then I will be seriously impressed."
"I'll make sure you can't see," Kenny reached around him and put a hand over his eyes, rendering Niko blind. Niko heard Olivia mutter a quiet ayo before he realised he was indeed not going to be able to do this.
Niko managed to locate the counter, but not the bowl. He felt the slimy albumen glide over his fingers before the hand over his eyes was removed and he saw the smashed egg and shell all over the counter. Olivia had her hands covering her face in horror, eyes squeezed shut, and Kenny with a hand over his mouth trying to supress his incredulous guffaws.
"WHICH IDIOT," Chunkz's voice boomed as he approached, spotting the mashed egg that was slowly slipping from the counter and dribbling down to the floor in escape. "HAS SMASHED AN EGG NOT IN THE BOWL?"
"A grave accident occurred-" Niko began explaining, putting on his camera persona to at least look as though he all had in under control. In reality, he could feel his annoyance oozing out into hot, bubbling jealousy in the pit of hit stomach. And embarrassment seemed to shroud him as he felt his cheeks glowing, ears probably a glowing red as he felt Olivia's gaze on the back of his neck.
"CLEAN IT!" Chunkz cut Niko off, muttering obscenities to the camera as he walked away.
"Well then," Kenny slid the kitchen roll across the table and towards a scowling Niko, who ripped off a sheet and began scrubbing the workbench as he heard Kenny say "Well then, I guess that makes you and I the main chefs for now."
Niko could've turned around and kicked his shins right there and then. Instead he kept scrubbing at the slimy egg and hand picking the shell from the floor, inner turmoil bubbling and just about ready to boil over as he could only listen to their sickening laughter and little jokes. Niko watched as AJ sneakily approached Kenny and Olivia from behind (the two of them far too busy scooping the gloopy mixture into the cake tin)  with a small bottle of what appeared to be bright red herb in his hand.
Niko was ready to yell out for the Rat to piss off and stop trying to sabotage them, until it turned around and noticed Niko, grinning and instead diverting to chat with his favourite. Small, snarky and sincere, Aj had become Niko's favourite housemate, and they'd grown surprisingly closest out of the lot. For some reason, Niko always found himself able to pick up a grin around his favourite rodent.
"What you doing scrounging 'round the floor whilst Kenny's stealing your girl?" AJ questioned cheekily, leaning over the workbench from behind to stoop down to Niko's level. Usually it was Niko that had to lean down to AJ's level, but Niko was amused by the role reversal none the less.
"I dropped an egg now I have to clean up the mess like Chunkz-" Niko paused his explanation as he mulled over AJ's words once more. "Hang on, what do you mean by your girl?"
"I'm the master of love, I know everything Niko," AJ snickered as Niko rolled his eyes. "Cmon, you didn't think I missed the messages you've been sending her for meetups and to grab coffees, did you?"
"How'd you see those?!" Niko hissed, backing up to get away from Olivia in case she overheard their conversation. Though much to his dismay, Olivia seemed really occupied with Kenny as it were. "They are private messages for a reason!"
"Yeah yeah, just don't leave your phone unlocked when you go to take a piss." AJ rolled his eyes as Niko facepalmed. "But that's beyond the point- why you just letting Kenny flirt with her in front of you? I thought you liked her?
"I do," Niko sighed. "She's just... I don't know. I don't even know if she likes me. We never called our meetups 'dates'...I'm just angry for no reason. Kenny doesn't realise I like her and it isn't Olivia's responsibility to tell him to stop or anything... Besides, I don't blame her- Kenny's something different. The muscles, the smile... And he has good rizz-""
"Do you like her or Kenny?" AJ raised a brow.
"Her of course!" Niko exclaimed before closing his eyes and sighing. "I just don't know whether it's worth... Well, I don't even know what the whole deal is."
"The deal is that you're being a PUSSY," AJ pushed him from behind, Niko scrunching his eyebrows. Was AJ being for real? "Go and get her attention- make some shortbread or icing with her, i don't care... just stop watching from the side-lines. It's weird."
"Fine, you have me sold." Niko huffed before grinning as he turned to AJ. "Only because you're the master of love, though."
With a loving neck-slap from AJ, Niko returned to the workbench with a new sort of bravado as the other two slotted the cake tin into the oven.
"Hey, Livvy," Niko called with a smile which he hoped exuded whatever Kenny managed to put into his smile- even using that nickname they'd laughed about in the park previously. "Wanna help me make some shortbread pieces for the top of the cake?"
"That's a great idea, yeah," Olivia nodded enthusiastically, leaving Kenny's side to join Niko. "There's some shortbread in the fridge that needs rolling out, I think- we can use that- and Kenny, you can work on the buttercream whilst we do."
Niko grinned as Olivia fetched the shortbread, Kenny working on the buttercream by himself leaving him and Olivia some time to spend with one another. Speaking of:
"Hey, Niko, some genius put the dough on the top shelf- can you use your superhuman length to grab it," Olivia called for Niko.
Might be muscular but doesn't have my height Niko almost grinned at the thought, though he knew fully well Kenny would be able to grab the dough just as easily as he had done.
"Hey," Olivia spoke with a hushed voice, meaning that he had to crouch down slightly to share the private conversation. He lowered himself until he was eye-level with her, grinning as she rolled her eyes at the gesture. She looked beautiful, right now. So Niko thought; with her bun slightly messy and askew, her cheeks dusted with a bit of flour, lips curved into that same beautiful smile. "You alright? You seemed a bit quiet earlier..."
Niko shook his head, the memory of being so annoyed at Kenny feeling stupid in itself. "All good, now." Olivia nodded before flashing a smile and taking his hand, pulling him back to the workbench now with butterflies swimming around his stomach, the feeling of her hand slotted between his so perfectly giving him almost a headache from the insane headrush he was getting.
Olivia was first to plop the dough down, unsuccessfully attempting to knead it with her hands before offering it to Niko. "Whatever setting that fridge is on, they've basically frozen that dough," She had grumbled, complaining it was too stiff for her to roll out.
Well fuck, Niko thought, knowing damn well he didn't have strong, dough-kneading arms. Still couldn't hurt to try, right? He had big hands and he was sure he'd read something in physics saying size was better that strength.
Rolling his sleeves up, Niko cracked his knuckles before attempting to stretch the dough with ease. As he lay his hand flat on it and attempted to push it out-
It didn't budge a bit.
"This is, erm," Niko huffed as he put all his body's strength into stretching it out. "This has definitely been frozen- you can't even move a bit of this thing-"
"I'll give it a go," Kenny shrugged from across the workbench. Niko felt like ripping his hair out as Kenny began rolling his sleeves up. Obnoxious prick, Niko thought Everyone knows you have muscles, it's nothing special...
But it is special, another intrusive thought spoke, calmly enough to disturb Niko and offset his jealousy. Making Niko feel something maybe more depressing. Where's your muscles, Niko, you don't have what he has...
Niko huffed, pushing it to the back of his mind and letting his inner monologue overrule the thought. Either way, it's science, he won't be able to knead frozen dough- it'll just break off-
Niko's thoughts were futile as Kenny began rolling the dough out and kneading it with the fluidity of a baker. Olivia praised him and Niko internally rolled his eyes as Kenny lapped it all up with his stupid smirk on his face, flexing his bicep and letting her feel it whilst he worked the dough with the other hand.
Niko sulked, pushing the rolling pin from hand to hand and refusing to allow that stupid, demeaning thought play on his mind as his eyes caught a vacant AJ's gaze. AJ grinned as he made eye contact before looking to the side and catching Kenny and Olivia together again. AJ pointed to his mouth and gagged to sign-language his distaste. Niko exhaled a pathetic laugh, though he felt his heart growing heavy as he felt the moment slipping through his fingers once again.
Yeah, Niko thought, I don't like seeing it either, AJ.
"THAT'S TIME UP EVERYONE, PUT YOUR CREATIONS ON THE FRONT DESK PLEASE." Chunkz yelled after a bit.
It was fair to say that both cakes seemed surprisingly impressive considering the chefs.
Niko, Kenny and Olivia's carrot cake looked delectable, coated in buttercream and topped with shortbread hearts and stars (and a complementary penis)  and Chunkz nodded in approval as theirs was placed on the front desk.
But also, Gib, AJ and Sharky's Victoria sponge seemed well crafted as well- with an even golden colour and gentle sifting of sugar powdered like snow on the top.
AJ stood besides Niko, Olivia also besides Niko- her shoulder brushing against his arm. He felt as though he should put his arm around her shoulder, but his heart pounded in his chest at the mere thought of it.
"I think we could win this!" Olivia whispered excitedly, looking up at Niko with a sparkle in her eyes that almost made Niko's heart melt. He took the opportunity, and decided to put his arm around her- hand on her shoulder as he rubbed it supportively in a side hug.
"All thanks to you," He whispered back with a sincere smile. Olivia's face only glowed even more, somehow.
"This is..." Chunkz went into the carrot cake for another spoonful before meeting the team's eyes with an astounded look.  "One of the best carrot cakes I've ever tasted."
"YESS!" Kenny cheered as Niko and Olivia met in a hug, Niko moreso celebrating the way Olivia wrapped her arms around his body as they hugged, resting her head against his body and jumping up and down with him, her hair bouncing up and down jovially.
The groups went to taste their own creations, AJ giving Niko a slice which he said "hasn't been licked by me, yet" which Niko felt as though he were enjoying until he turned around and saw Kenny and Olivia trialling their carrot cake together.
Kenny had cut a slice out, taking a bite from it before nodding with wide eyes and picking up the slice, jokingly telling her to open wide and holding the slice out.
Her cheeks were bright red, lips curved upwards and making her eyes contract into little crescents as she laughed at Kenny's gesture, though she leaned forwards to take a bite as Kenny placed his other hand beneath her chin, keeping complete eye contact even as she bit into the cake, only lowering his hand when she pulled away to swallow.
Niko felt as though his heart had been slowly and agonizing pulled apart piece by piece in front of him, unmoved and placid whilst he watched Kenny laugh with Olivia. Niko never seen such a domestic look in Kenny's eyes as he smiled down at Olivia gently... and the terrifying way he seemed so warmed by Olivia's presence- her jokes, her smiles, her charisma...
And even Olivia seemed to like him.
It were as though someone had switched the channel- as though Niko's mind was just filled with static as he tuned out to the finale of the video, clearing the mess and helping the camera crew pack away without a word, his mind buzzing and racing as he worked on autopilot.
Does she always seem that happy? He had himself questioning. Was she that happy with me? Did she smile like that all those times I went out with her? Does she compare me to Kenny? Does she think I'm less of a person compared to him...? That he's better than me...? Does she even think about me around him or does he mean that much to her that she loses her head around him the way I lose my head around her?
The questions shrouded his mind as he stepped outside, feeling as though a tear drop were rolling down his face as he exited the building, heart heavy and body a big bundle of nerves- like he were going to explode if someone touched him.
"NIKO!" A hand on top of his was what woke him from his dazed state. He whirled around, electrified by the sheer feeling of someone's touch against his, waking him up from that horrifying daydream.
There stood Olivia, his Livvy- hair still in a beautiful untidy bun, face still a perfectly stained with flour... Though she was wet. Droplets ran down her face like teartracks.
Niko looked up.
It was raining.
How hadn't he noticed it was raining? He had felt the teardrops staining his cheeks, yet not the heavy London bullets firing down the back of his neck.
"Niko what-" Olivia's words were cut off as Niko tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. It had been covering her face. She smiled weakly at the gesture before clearing her throat and holding up her hand, carrying his puffer with her. "You forgot this..."
"Oh." Niko mustered. She didn't really care, did she. Was this all a game to her? Probably. He felt as though his efforts were futile, and so, Niko pulled his jacket from her arms before turning around and walking away again. She just came to give back his jacket. Of course. What else.
He only managed a few more paces before he was stopped again.
"NIKO-"
"WHAT." This time he responded with an exclamation of his own. "What is it? Did I forget something else?! Did I mess something else up?! What now..."
He felt like shit the moment he'd let the words escape his mouth. Olivia's face seemed to fall slack.
"I just wanted to ask what's wrong..." Her face crumpled. Not as though she were about to cry- she was just suffering from empathy, and it made Niko's poor, bleeding heart seem to crumble.
He closed the gap between them and wrapped his arms around her shoulders- the two soaked bodies meeting in a warm embrace.
"You have no idea the way I feel for you you, Livvy." He mumbled, looking up at the sky. He couldn't tell whether he wanted her to hear it or not, but she seemed to have caught the message.
"Niko, you fucking idiot," She chuckled wetly against his sweatshirt, her harsh spoken words pulling Niko's head down so that their eyes met. "I don't know what you feel for me, but I... I like you. A lot."
The words seemed to take weight off of his shoulders. He looked down at the girl in his arms. His arms. His Livvy.
"What about Kenny?" The words tumbled from his lips before he could stop them.
"What about him?" Her eyebrows furrowed as though she'd never even heard of his name. Then as though the truth of the universe hit her, her face cleared in realisation, before she began laughing. "Oh-Oh my, Niko, are you jealous?"
"Should I NOT be?!" Niko found it in himself to laugh incredulously. "I thought you two had something going this entire time?"
"I could never have anything with someone else when you're there, Niko." She smiled softly.  Niko couldn't take the feeling of bittersweet aching his heart carried.
"I wanna kiss you so bad right now." Niko breathed, a smile tracing his lips.
Olivia was the one to get onto her tip-toes, throwing her arms around Niko's shoulders and pressing her lips softly against his. Niko's heart raced as he reciprocated the kiss, his arms instinctively pulling her closer by the waist. Time seemed to stand still as they melted into each other's embrace, their connection deepening with each passing second.
Until Olivia pulled away, sucking in a breath of fresh air and grinning.
The rain had soaked her hair, pressing those stray hairs flat against the sides of her face, and Niko yet couldn't think of anything but how lucky he was. And how stupid he was. How fucking ecstatic he was with Olivia in his arms.

Girls Like Girls - Robin Buckley X Cheerleader!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Robin has a crush on the new girl in town. Y/N is also a new member of the cheer squad, which means Robin sees her all the time at games and other school events. Unfortunately, Robin is put in a tough situation. She's scared to talk to her because the cheerleaders have a reputation of being mean girls and she fears that Y/N may not feel the same. Little does Robin know that Y/N does not appear as she seems. Y/N becomes best friends with Eddie, which seems unlikely at the surface due to different social circles. This leads to rumors of course and word spreads like wildfire here at Hawkins, which then makes Robin's feelings even more confusing. After hanging out with Steve and the gang, Robin starts to see a different side to Y/N. Will they end up together or will they just remain friends?

Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Tumblr media
“You know what Buckley, if you’re gonna criticize the way I do my job why don’t you just do it yourself.” Steve said jokingly, handing Robin a vhs tape and headed back to the counter.
“It’s not my fault you don’t know anything about movies.” She chuckled as she put the movies away.
“Well you have fun with that, I’m gonna go man the register.” Steve said as he continued to walk away from his friend. Robin continued to put away the tapes, a few people came in here and there but it was mostly dead on this particular Friday night. Which was odd, all things considered. It was around 8 o'clock when a group of people had walked in.
“Welcome to Family Video, let me know if you need help finding any-, oh great here we go.” Steve said as the group walked in. “What?”  Robin asked, as she was restocking the candy display. She stopped in her tracks for a moment, looking up from her spot. “Oh uh hey there.”  Robin stammered.
“Hi Robin!” Y/N said excitedly. Robin had a hard time putting words together. You usually came here at the same time every Friday to pick out a movie. Robin almost thought you weren't coming because it had gotten so late. But there you were, standing in front of her in your cheer uniform. 'Practice must have gone late." Robin thought to herself. She stood from her spot to get a better look at you. ‘God she looks so pretty.’ She thought. A few people walked in the store, causing a slight breeze to head in your direction. She caught a scent of your perfume. She closed her eyes for a moment as she took in the smell, it was sweet and gentle. It smelled of vanilla. “Are you gonna pick a movie or what Y/N?” Eddie interrupted, bringing Robin out of her thoughts.
“Yeah yeah yeah, just give me a minute you goose.” Y/N turned to her friend and said jokingly. She walked over to the movies and went section by section to find the right one.
“Okay let's not destroy the display guys.” Steve said dreadfully as he walked over to the rest of the Hellfire club trying to clean up the mess of his hard work he had done earlier.
“Boooo, you’re no fun Harrington.” Gareth had mocked. Steve picked up the last item, sarcastically laughing back the comment. “I’m fun, I’m Steve Harrington for god sakes.” He muttered under his breath as he walked back behind the counter.
Robin watched you as you pondered for the right film. You had gone aisle by aisle with no luck. Then suddenly you had picked up a movie and scrunched your nose as you had inspected it. Robin felt a smile creep upon her face, she couldn't help but look down in hopes you or anyone else could see her.
“Now why are you making that face?” Eddie questioned as you held up the movie to show him why you had said expression written upon your face. It was a copy of My Bloody Valentine.
“What about it?” Eddie continued to question.
“Do you see what section we’re in!?” Y/N proclaimed, pointing to the sign that had said ‘romance’.
“Oh god are you gonna make us watch a girly flick? Sam made us watch one of those last week, okay we don't need a repeat of that!” Eddie groaned.
"I can hear you, you know!" Sam stated from across the store.
“No you goose, this movie is in the wrong section.” She laughed walking over to the counter to check out the film.
“Did you guys find everything alright?” Robin asked as she scanned your items. “Yeah we found everything okay.” Y/N said getting her money out of her wallet. “That's not true, this was in the wrong section.” Eddie stated pointing to the movie.
Robin groaned, “Damn you Harrington.”
“What is this pick on Steve day?!?” Steve had proclaimed.
Robin finished checking you out, she couldn't help but admire how beautiful you looked under the light. She was soon interrupted from pondering as you had said your goodbye’s, waving and flashing a small smile to Robin. She had waved back and gave the same smile in return, but that soon faded as she saw Eddie put his arm around your waist as your group walked out of the store. Robin let out a sigh and hunched over the counter, letting her head fall into her hands.
“You okay?” Steve asked his friend, giving her a small nudge.
“Yeah I’m fine.” Robin said, picking her head up and brushing the hair out of her face. “Yeah that’s a load of bullshit and you know it.” Steve said, sitting up on the counter. “You like her don’t you?” He questioned.
“Does it really matter? She’s with Eddie, she’s not interested in girls.” Robin stated, messing with the string coming off of her sweater. Steve couldn’t help but feel sad for his friend. He couldn't imagine how hard it is for her to try and find someone during times like this. I mean this is the 80’s and a small town in Indiana for crying out loud. “Have you even asked her?” He questioned.
“Oh yeah let me just go up to the most beautiful woman ever and just say ‘wow nice weather we’re having here, oh hey by the way do you like to kiss girls?’ Do you know how stupid that sounds?!” Robin got nervous just thinking about it and when she got nervous, she rambled.
“Well don’t talk about the weather with her for starters.” Steve chuckled.
“You know what I mean dingus!” Robin said, giving her friend a slight shove.
“Look, you won't know unless you ask, who knows maybe she likes you back? You thought that she was mean and scary because of her being a cheerleader, you were wrong about that weren’t you?” Steve stated, he tried to remain hopeful for Robin. He wanted his friend to be happy. She shrugged, Robin’s hopes in finding a girlfriend became low after everything that had happened with Vickie. She was happy that the two could remain friends, but it still stung nonetheless.
“Next time you see her, you should ask her to hang out. It’s a start to get to know her and to know for sure right?” Steve asked, now facing her.
“I guess, I just don’t wanna go through that kind of heartache again.” Robin said, looking down at her feet.
“Well no matter what, I’ve got your back.” Steve said, bumping into Robin. This caused her to chuckle.
“Alright alright, let's get back to work so we can get out of here. You owe me a bite to eat after this for making me clean up your mess of your so-called organization.” Robin laughed as she went to organize the returned tapes.
“You’re never gonna let that go are you?” Steve asked.
“Nope.” Robin yelled from the back.

dagger squad finding out bob has a girlfriend and who it is!! it could go one of two ways!!
1. going through his phone
the squad was all at the hard deck in their usual spot by the pool table. all of them but bob are talking. it’s not odd for bob to be quiet, but for the past few months, he’s barely talked because he’s been so immersed in his phone and he’s been more smiley than usual.
“what’s got you so happy, baby on board?” jake said drawing all the attention towards bob who looked a bit confused.
bob just shook his head and put his phone on the table next to him. “nothing. i’m going to get a drink, do you guys want anything?” nobody bought it. “no we’re good, thanks though.” bradley said and the others nodded in agreement.
as soon as bob had his back turned nat leaned over and grabbed his phone off of the table and unlocked it. the others gather around her as she looked through it. as they were going through it, a text from someone with the contact name ‘my songbird 🕊️’ popped up.
“songbird?” bradley mumbles. everyone looks to natasha for an explanation but she’s just as clueless as they are. nat clicks on the message and the first thing she notices is the contact photo. it’s a picture of you in the studio.
“holy shit, is that y/n—“ “l/n? yes it’s her.” bob answered. he noticed the group going through his phone as soon as he turned around. the group started questioning him as soon as he sat down.
“how did you two meet?” bradley asked. “we grew up together.”
“did you-” “no, jake. i didn’t pay her”
Tumblr media
2. through a music video
it was a slow night at the hard deck and penny was just closing up. the daggers along with maverick had stayed behind to help clean. amelia was there too.
amelia was sitting in a booth on her phone while everyone cleaned. everyone jumped as amelia let out a loud scream. penny and mav rushed towards her as everyone stopped what they were doing.
“‘melis, what’s wrong?” penny asked. in return amelia just handed her mom the phone.
amelia ignores her mom and looks straight at bob. “you we’re in a music video with Y/N L/N?!?”
bob froze like a deer in headlights. sure he agreed to being in a music video with you and he gave you consent to post it knowing how it may interfere his job. but he didn’t think amelia listend to your music.
everyone looked at bob in shock. once the shock wore off everyone crowded around amelia to watch the video. they couldn’t deny that there was an insane amount of chemistry between the two of you. which is what lead to phoenix’s question.
“how the hell do you know y/n l/n and why do you both look at each other like you want to marry each other?”
this lead to bob cracking and telling everyone that you’re his girlfriend

Being besties with Hiori, Kurona and Niko
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Content: Fem!reader, Headcanon that Niko, Kurona and Hiori are same age, school au, mentioning of Shidou, Otoya, JJK and Merge Mansion (it’s a mess I know)
Tumblr media
- You were friends with Kurona first, bc he has the best social skills
- He saw you sleeping in between classes one day, and you overslept the bell for next period, so he woke you up.
- Still half asleep, you looked at him and said “damn your hair are so pretty”
- He flustered and that’s how great friendship began
- Because Niko and Hiori were also in football club, and all of you were in the same class, you started eating lunch together
- All of them felt rather odd bc they were not the type to hang around girls, especially Niko, he’d blush whenever you say anything to you
- Kurona regularly braids your hair on lunch breaks, and he got so invested he learned different braiding styles and he experiments daily bc your hair are longer than his
- Need to put your hair up in the ponytail on PE lessons? No: u gonna have the prettiest braids in the entire gym
- After you get comfortable with Niko and Hiori, you guys are totally a ride or die
- You and Niko exchange mangas to each other and watch new anime episodes while being on discord, so u can comment live
- Sometimes Hiori and Kurona join, while Hiori just plays games and listens, and Kurona is studying and listens, bc without context it’s also very funny
- With Hiori you play video games but he is way too good in this
- The only game u have any chances with Hiori are the lamest phone games like Merge Mansion and he is still somehow better??
- One time both you and Niko had puffed eyes at school, and when Kurona asked what happened, you started to explain JJK KFC break up
- You are very protective of your friends, so if you ever hear anyone talking shit about them, you are ready to fight
- You always tease Hiori that he is the prettiest of all of you
- Some senpai confessed to Hiori thinking he was a tomboy, and you will remind him about it until he’ll die
- Kurona is the softest and the nicest of all of you and he is always just happy to spend time with his friends
- You always enjoy listening to him talking about sharks and you’d go with him to aquarium several times
- Whenever you mention that some guy from their football team is hot, Niko straight away says “yeah but he is a dick, don’t” (especially if you have your eyes on Shidou or Otoya)
- They won’t say it out loud but they are afraid if you’d start to date one of the more popular football guys, you’d forget about them (insecure squad, but they love u so much)
- Every week you ask Niko to allow Kurona to braid his bangs but Niko refuses every time (but u won’t give up)
- You all suck on PE, and you always mock them how they made it to football team if outside of that they act like a bunch of nerds (but then they mock you back that you don’t even play football, just suck, and they are not wrong)
- You have study sessions together with lots of snacks and soft anime music playing in the background
- You have three great listeners whenever you need to vent, and they all have your back, because they are the best
- This friends are treasure and a bunch of keepers, and you sometimes get sad thinking they will get girlfriends and you already miss them
- “Bro before any of us get a girlfriend there’s gonna be a while lol” Hiori on discord after listening to your crying hormonal rant
- “You’d better”
Tumblr media
By slowlyholypeanut - don’t steal, give credit
Btw I do play lame Merge Mansion and Hiori would totally be better than me

Your head is heavy, everything feels like it's packed in cotton batting, the floor is swaying, and you just want to sit down. You stumble into the night onto the porch and down the stairs. Your bare feet touch the cold, wet grass and you just keep walking, not even thinking where your shoes have gone.
As you walk through the front yard you notice your body getting heavier and heavier, everything is blurry, so you sit down on the curb and put your head in your hands. All you wanted to do was sleep, you were so unbearably tired.
How he hated these kinds of parties, the entire high school elite gathered and invited all the girls that could somehow be persuaded to attend. Whether out of genuine interest or just to be part of it, almost everyone showed up.These parties served only one purpose, to get wasted with alcohol and drugs and afterwards to take a girl to bed with them, who might not even know it the next day. Although he was earning the most money with this kind of parties, it also went against the grain. He leaned against the back wall in the living room, where the light no longer shined and he kept an overview of the party. The metal lunch box stood between his feet on the floor.
He liked to watch the people, because in this state they didn't care if he was here or not, he wasn't Eddie the Freak anymore, he was just a person standing there in the corner or for some still the drug dealer. He had dressed as so often for this kind of parties, inconspicuous, a black hooded sweater and dark jeans, not as usual the jeans vest and leather jacket.
Alone from the air in the room you could get drunk, it reeked of alcohol and sweating people. On the sofa sat a smooching couple, where he was sure that they had come to the party with other panthers earlier. Next to them laid an unconscious boy, he think his name was Chance, he belonged to Jason's squad. He decided that the operation was done for today, no one had bought from him for over two hours, so Eddie went into the kitchen to get himself a drink and then disappear. He looked to see if there were still sealed bottles in the fridge, the ones on the counter he didn't trust. With a Coke in his hand, he was about to head home when he saw a girl who looked familiar, he had seen her several times at Family Video, she was a friend of Robin and Steve and often walked around the school with her copy of the Hobbit. He had thought she was different, not like the other high school girls who get drunk at every party. But something struck him as odd, she had no shoes on and was walking towards the front door. He decided to follow her discreetly, he didn't want anything to happen to her.
You had just dozed off when you heard footsteps behind you, you just hoped it wasn't Andy, you didn't want to relive what had just happened. But you were too tired, your head was too heavy and everything was spinning, you didn't want to look up.
The person walked past you, put something on the floor that rattled metallically, and then squatted down in front of you. You lift your head slightly, as far as it goes without immediately feeling like throwing up again. You had just puked on Andy after he tried to kiss you and pull you into the bedroom. You looked into chocolate brown eyes that were focused on you with concern, in front of you sat Eddie Munson, the school freak and D&D Dungen Master from the Hellfire Club.
He had his head slightly tilted and his curls were in his face, his beautiful eyes fixed on you. You knew Eddie, as everyone here knew him, but you also knew him from Robin and Steve, he was apparently a very nice person, but you had never spoken to him. Now he sat in front of you and looked at you worriedly. Why necessarily now, why necessarily in such a way, you did not want that he gets to know you in such a fashion.
You knew from Robin that he was an absolute Lord of the Rings fan and you actually wanted to befriend him about that. Not sitting drunk on a curb, in a dress too short, without shoes in the middle of the night, looking into his chocolate brown eyes that radiated so much pain.
As he crouched in front of her, she slowly raised her head, looking at him with a painful, uncertain expression on her face. She looked so vulnerable as she sat there. "Hey, are you okay? Where are your shoes and aren't you cold?" What a stupid question, she was sitting on the curb in a skimpy, black, silky shiny dress, of course she is cold you complete idiot.
He immediately regretted his statement and ran his hand through his curls uncertainly. But when she answered him she sounded friendly, very drunk, but also very friendly. "Very tired- drank way too much- Andy- kissing- what an ass- wanted to take me with him- threw up- lost shoes- tired" she slurred into her hand she was leaning into. Andy the bastard wanted to make her sleep with him, he would probably have to go in again and punch him in the face. He wouldn't know who done it tomorrow anyway. The anger that boiled up in him tasted sour in his mouth, but now he had to take care of you. He had made it his business to get you home safely, or wherever else you wanted to go. "Can I take you home? Do not worry I will not hurt you"
At this statement from him you had to grin broadly, of course you knew that Eddie would never hurt you, not like Andy or one of the other jerks there at the party. You tried to gather all your strength to come up with an answer that was understandable, "Sure Eddie, can I stay with you, parents strict, they think I'll spend the night at Clara's".
She wanted to stay with him? With him Eddie Munson, the school freak that everyone hated? He took her by the arm and pulled her up, with a questioning look on his face, "Eddie, I know you're a nice guy - it's all good" she pressed out. She must have interpreted his expression correctly.
You fell into Eddie's arms, your legs no longer holding you up properly. With your head against his chest you could feel his fast heartbeat, he smelled of musk, pine needles and cannabis. He held you tightly in his arms and pressed you against him, as if he wanted to assure you that you were safe with him.
He took you by the hands and looked at you again with his chocolate brown eyes, your stomach started to tingle, as if butterflies were flying around in it and you felt hot. Again you were embarrassed that Eddie saw you like this. But at that moment he handed you a Coke with the words "Don't worry, there's nothing in it, I actually got it for myself, but I think you need it more right now".
Sipping coke, holding Eddie's hand you slowly walked to his van, it was parked around the block so it wouldn't be noticed. But the walk wasn't far, after a few minutes you were standing in front of the van. Eddie opened the door for you with a bow, "After you, I'll find you a blanket, my princess," at these words you blushed again, but luckily it was dark enough here that Eddie hopefully didn't notice.
Your tiredness immediately rose again as you sat in the passenger seat, but the Coke had helped against your drunkenness, you felt better already. Eddie handed you a gray blanket from the back, it was thin but felt warm. Wrapped in the blanket you fell asleep before Eddie had even driven off.
He still couldn't believe it, sitting in his passenger seat asleep was Y/N, he had specifically not turned on any music so she wouldn't wake up. As he drove through Hawkins he kept looking over at her to make sure she was still asleep. She looked so peaceful and comfortable with her head leaning against the window and wrapped in the blanket. He wondered how he was going to get her into the trailer, he didn't want to wake her up. Besides, he was determined to sleep on the floor or in the living room, and just thinking about Y/N seeing his room made him queasy. He already liked her and had hoped to get to know her better under different circumstances.
Arriving at the trailer, he carefully opened the front door and put an old boot in front of it so it wouldn't fall shut. Then he carefully opened the passengers door and was about to take Y/N in his arms when she opened her eyes and looked at him dreamily, she mumbled " hmm- are we there yet ?".
After his nod, she slowly slid out of the van and fell into his arms. She was warm now, not as clammy as before. He hugged her tightly, she smelled of alcohol and a perfume, which reminded him of the smell of apple pie. Why hadn't he noticed that earlier?
You remembered getting out of the van and stepping into the trailer, but how you ended up in Eddie's bed, in an old t-shirt of his and a pair of sweatpants, was not so clear to you anymore, only fragments were left. But you didn't care, you were now lying in Eddie's bed, and you were happy. He had put an old blanket and the sofa cushions on the floor in front of it, because you had asked him not to leave you alone.
He had just gone back to the kitchen to get an old bucket in case Y/N got sick again tonight, he didn't want her to have to get up to run to the bathroom. When he came back into the room she was lying on her back with her eyes open looking at the ceiling. He put the bucket next to the head of the bed and lay down on the floor. "If anything happens you can always wake me up! And don't feel guilty, good night princess". "Can you hold my hand Eddie?" she murmured. He did not answer but took the hand she hung from the bed, settled it in his and squeezed it.
And so you fell asleep, with Eddie's hand in yours, happy and protected.
