If Geto wasn’t depressed and severely traumatized he’d become a teacher at Jujutsu Tech, be happily be married to Marisa and they’d have five beautiful children, Mimiko and Nanako their adopted daughters, Shinichirou and Imani and lastly their last born Seishu who I’ve drawn here. How the hell did he ever convince Marisa for a third biological kid only those two know, and he’s his daddy’s twin and has purple eyes. But here he is during his free period spending time with his infant son Sei, he is quite a babbler despite not knowing how to talk yet. He’s such a family man and an extremely proud dad 🥹

As always Marisa dressed that baby up in a Sonic themed onesie like his older siblings. He’s dressed as Shadow. Also happy birthday to Geto hehe

Introducing my new Majin OC, Mimiko! She's a supporting character in Anya Nion's story, Dragon Ball Miracle. She is a teenage girl who is fascinated with Frieza Force weapons and wanders around the galaxy, looking for tasks. Her name comes from a cute nickname given to my grandmother and ko, meaning girl or child in Japanese. Her actual name is Blueberry, hence her color pallette.

Just got a random idea that I think would be neat!

Okay, so i know you’re planning to have Nobara and Mai meet up again in the culling games, yeah?

Now hear me out… imagine if Nanako and Junpei joins the fray…

Like obviously it’s your fic, and I trust your process. But after you answer that one anonymous’ ask, about how ya think Nanako and Nobara would interact. I just can’t get the thought out of my head!

Not only that, but since Nanako and Junpei would be together post Shibuya Arc it would be interesting how Junpei interacts with Mai and Nobara.

Like Mai and Junpei do be kind of similar, no? Both are sulky introverts that dwell on their problems. Both are considered the “weak” one when dealing with their issues. And both died and came back to life!

Ah! But again, this is your fic! So you already have plans on what Nanako and Junpei will do during post Shibuya. And it won’t really make sense for you to write Nanako and Junpei interacting with Mai and Nobara, since you want each fic to be generally a stand-alone fic. So having Junpei there would definitely require a lot of explaining for someone who probably wanna see some NobaMai interactions during the culling games.

I just wanna share with you since this thought have been consuming my brain.

Actually, you read my mind Anon because my plan all along was to split the Nanako / Mimiko / Junpei trio into two groups for both the pre-culling games, and the duration of the culling games.

Let me explain my general outline for where Junpei's character is going in long rambly fashion. To begin with the entire concept of this au which I call the "Nobody Dies AU" is to give screentime to characters who died too quickly, and two to develop Geto's "Family" of curse users which I thought was an interesting and underdeveloped idea. Junpei lives in this AU, and is essentially taken into the remnants of Geto's family and lives the life of a curse user on the other side of the law rather than dying. The goal is to slowly over time acquire more and more members for the "Curse Family" made up of children who would hvae otherwise died or been abandoned by Jujutsu Society if they weren't helped.

Mai does not die in the Zenin Massacre, but the rest of Jujutsu Society and the kids entering the culling game do not know she survived. This is because she's picked up by Mimiko immediately after her revival and brought to Michikatsu. Mimiko has no idea what happened with Maki and Mai and the events that led up to the massacre, all she understands is that Maki is a dangerous murderer who has flipped her lid and killed a bunch of people and is now going around in the culling games as "the return of the sorcerer killer."

Mai enters the culling games with Junpei and MimiNanako specifically with the purpose of finding Maki, while Junpei post Shibuya arc wants to track down Yuji and make sure he doesn't kill himself. They are alligned because they have pretty similiar goals they both want to enter the culling game to save someone from themselves. However, Junpei / NanaMimiko are regarded as dangerous curse users, and Mai is thought to be dead so they can't work with the kids at Jujutsu High.

At the same time Nobara still gets her face blown off in Shibuya, but she revives a lot earlier. As for my plans for Nobara after that I am not totally sure, right now I'm leaning towards Nobara acting like an enabler for Maki. She still thinks the world of Maki, and she thinks Maki is justified in killing the Zenin, and that Maki is fine as long as she's only killing bad sorcerers. It's a character flaw for two reasons. One she is pedestalizaing of Maki, and two because Nobara's morality is really just centered around doing right or wrong by her friends. Nobara thinks she's helping Maki, but she's really just making her worse by not calling her out or trying to stop her. The whole point of Maki's arc being that revenge = bad, and getting caught up in the cycle of revenge is making her mental health worse no matter how justified her killing of the Zenin might have seemed.

At some point though, Maki abandons her and she meets up with Mai again and at that point we can have the Nanako and Nobara interactions. As for how Mai and Junpei interact I think they would act similiarly to Maki and Yuta Jujutsu Kaisen Zero, but without the sexual tension. That is Mai and Junpei have incredibly similiar demeanors, they are both sulky emo kids, but Mai also is a bit of a high school bully. Junpei already sort of gets pushed around by Nanako, but they're complete opposites. Whereas, when Mai pushes him around and calls him out it's more like an act of self-loathing on Mai's part because they are so similiar and Junpei carries a lot of traits she hates about herself. However, since Junpei was saved at his worst moment I think he would be in a much more mentally healthy place where he can reach out to her. As for Mai though even if she survived the Zenin Massacre, she'd probably still be at a low point because she feels Maki becoming a murderer is her fault for not protecting her, and also her love for Maki and seeing Maki in such a bad place mentally just tears her apart inside. Junpei and Mai are both "weak" people who need to be protected and helped by others, Mai with Maki, Junpei with Yuji, but I think Junpei is learning not to loathe himself for being weak now.

Yes, like you said the fics are standalone but they all take place in the same universe so I like to have at least some continuity building between the fics. Junpei's arc is not complete the only reason I haven't really returned to him yet besides a cameo is because I wanted to establish Mai as another major character of this AU. You could consider the two main ships to be Nobara and Mai, rivals to lovers, and then Yuji and Junpei lovers to enemies to lovers again and their romance is building over the course of several fics. As you said it's a bit hard to explain "This is Nanako, Junpei, Mimiko they are friends" in a fic that's supposed to be a standalone but my solution to this is just to write long explanations in the authors notes about events that happened in previous fics. It's not like, the cleanest way of delivering exposition but hey, Gege crams a bunch of explanations he forgot to put in the comic itself in his author's notes too.

I definitely intend to have Nobara, Nanako, Junpei, and Mai interact in the culling games though, and they will be the main focus changing the events slightly while for the most part Megumi, Yuji, Yuta, and Hakari's actions so far remain relatively the same. I hope you love side characters because that's what my fics are all about! If you want to see the forbidden Nanako and Nobara besties interaction then please look forward to reading them!
