IN-GAME BIOGRAPHY
Jason "Askal" Timog was born and raised in the rural mountains of Davao Oriental, Philippines. At 18 years old he enlisted in the army, motivated by the rampant terrorist attacks on his country. He would later join the Philippine Scout Rangers, where he was nicknamed "askal" meaning "feral dog", from a habit of baring teeth during vigorous trainings.
One of his deployments was a joint operation between MARSOC and the Scout Rangers, tasked to take down a chain of Al-Qatala strongholds in Southern Philippines. Among the MARSOC operators was Phillip Graves.
In 2019, Askal and several other Rangers were involved in a mutiny. Although it was a failure, the rebels took multiple innocent lives before fleeing the area. Askal barely escaped trial thanks to the help of his sister, who was exiled by their family for being transgender. She took him to Canada, but it was a matter of time before he's recognized.
Commander Graves approached Askal at a perfect time, offering security in exchange for his expertise. He proved to be a valuable soldier for Shadow Company.
In 2021, Graves formed "Whiskey Company" a team of operators specializing in amphibious and jungle warfare, led by Askal who was rather enthusiastic about it as he was teamed up with his friends.
Early 2023, Whiskey was dispatched to track down Konni strongholds across Europe and gather intel of Makarov’s inner circle. The intel would later aid TF-141 and Shadow Company on their relentless search for Commander Makarov.

Luciano "Lucas" Mercado
Siamese Cat
A child of Perlan immigrants who has come to Echo to strike it out on his own. However, independent living has been rather... disappointing for him. He deeply misses his home and wishes to return once he saves enough money to leave Echo.
Perla is my Echoverse equivalent of the Philippines. It's a reference to the country being nicknamed "Perla del Oriente" during the Spanish colonial era.

Favorite foods include chicken/pork adobo, beef sinigang, shepherds pie, white rice, biscuits, pancakes, cornbread, and jams (particular to red fruits like strawberries, raspberries, and cherries)

Nuniq (@flooficandii):
At first he had another "What's with this lost child" moment and then he realized she's only like 3 years younger than him
Many short jokes ensued
They are friends though he just teases her a lot because he's a gremlin
Nuniq is a fairly chill person (forgive me for that pun) and they'd get along pretty well
They got that whole "fuck Kingdom" thing going on too
When he was getting recruited, along with asking Brimstone to leave the recruitment room the recruiters also brought in some agents with similar experiences and opinions of Kingdom and Nuniq would be one of them
She'd help him out a lot cause she knows that feeling of "Oh, that guy's a Kingdom guy. Yeah, fuck this."
Also Nuniq has dog. Vexx likes dog

— ukiyo definitely sees koi as a younger sister, probably calls her 妹 every once in a while (妹 — younger sister)
— she's like the energetic older sister/cousin, hangs out with koi often and helps her out when she can
— ruffles koi's hair . like way too much
— kiyo hates doing paperwork but if koi ever suggests doing it for her, ukiyo is shaking her head no and insisting she can handle it and that koi should rest !!!
— koi is just so nice, ukiyo loves her sm and only wants the best for her! this does mean ukiyo buys her a bunch of stuff like sanrio keychains and sweets
— she can't draw but she'll ask koi all about graffiti and ask if she can draw one of her ghosts
— gave koi an omamori for pretty much everything, prosperity, safety, success, you name it
— she has trouble controlling her ghosts sometimes but she'll try her best to have them on their best behavior with koi as to not spook her! (well spook her too much at the very least) if they do end up scaring koi, ukiyo will be scolding them for the next hour or two
— also?? ukiyo and koi dressing up together!??! ukiyo may or may not buy a few dresses that fit koi's style and they run around in frilly little dresses together!!!
— if koi ever adds a few patches and pins to one of her dresses, she will absolutely CHERISH it forever

— even though ukiyo is intimidated, she'll still try her best to talk to cub! even like really awkward small talk about the last mission
— if she somehow finds out cub is into astrology too, she'll definitely try talking with her about it!! uki's knowledge about astrology is pretty limited so she would ask a few questions about it too!!
— tried visiting cub's room and almost became a popsicle ,,
— speaking of becoming a popsicle! uki complains way too much about becoming one when they have missions in icebox and tries asking cub how she handles it (probably gets no response though..)
— honestly these 2 probably wouldn't have many interactions with cub being quite the introvert but uki will do her best to talk to her
— really likes when she can hear cub playing piano from her room, uki thinks she's super talented with it
— has seen how scary cub is with astra and made a little mental note to never get on her bad side
— uki probably bought cub a little cinnamoroll keychain because it kinda reminded ukiyo of her and left it at the door to cub's room

— uki holds a lot of respect for miss zero!! her ambition is just so admirable
— she finds things like coding and literally anything that has to do with money and investment boring so she'll happily let zero handle all of that, maybe ask a few questions here and there about it
— uki is the type to respect interests and ask questions about it even if its not really her cup of tea! so she'll ask zero how things work and will happily listen to what she says!!
— she really likes zero's piercings! uki's piercings are all on her ears but she does want a few new ones like zero's :0
— do sanrio plushies fit zero's style? not really. is that stopping uki from buying her a chococat plushie? not at all,, like even if zero and her aren't all that close, if uki finds something that reminds her of a certain agent, she's buying it and giving it to them

— i think that even though they would be pretty close, uki would find her abilities just a bit unnerving. she tries to just play it off as light teasing but the idea of being able to transform into other people is kinda scary
— chameleon's kindness probably helps in making uki more trusting of her but she still keeps her guard up
— she probably bought chameleon a keroppi plushie because it was the closest to a chameleon :D
— she also may spook chameleon with her ghosts every once in a while for funsies,,

My OCs, I guess? Idk, I’m not really the most sentimental person, and anything irl that I end up holding onto is usually the result of obsession/hoarding (resulting from OCD probably) or whatever
dreams: talk about something you are longing for!
I already answered this here, but another thing I’m longing for is my own dog :DOr dogs. I’m not really sure yet lmao
But I would really love to have my own dog and not just a family dog. I love our family dogs, but I really want my own one. Preferably a husky because they are gorgeous, but even just a typical askal is okay.

Hi guys! Gabby here, and I’ve got some random stuff to show you! As Eddy mentioned yesterday, I’ve been working on some character sheets. That’s still a work in progress, but here are already four of them here. Don’t hesitate to tell me what you think about them!
Aaaand, just beause we said there would be some teasers, have some concept art! These two plot-related OCs will mark their first appearance in the next chapter, though Prof Saeko Jin has already been mentioned in chapter #4.
So here’s Saeko Jin, a 31-year-old Japanese scientist living in Askal-Gen (the same universe as the Abyss and Ogawa), and also the one who apparently found out how to build a machine able to travel between parallel universes.
The other one is named Ruby McClide (seriously I could NEVER say his name with a straight face), he’s supposed to be a Pokémon trainer living in Hoenn (hence “Ruby”). Not gonna spoil guys, but this man... Oh boy, I just can’t think about anything that involves him without either face-palming or laughing at the top of my lungs. You’ll see why in the next chapter I guess.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
My very first concept for him is that he's quirky and wild, aka "feral". Askal means "feral dog" in Filipino and I think it's a bomb-ass code name. As for his real name, it's from my favorite bassist and a surname I found while watching a documentary about Scout Rangers, and it literally means "South", which gives a hint where in the Philippines he's from...

💼 Askal is currently a Shadow Company Operator...
🍀 Askal was a character I created on a whim. At first, there's not much going on with him besides he shares my nationality, and he's in Shadow Company. Then I decided he should be a pansexual aromantic just because I need that kinda representation in my life 😂. There's not much lore either! He's an NPC and I love that for him 😂...
✏️ Every now and then I crank out blurbs for him. And with MW3 and even more research on military and PMC stuff, I've been creating new backgrounds for him. It's a matter of time before I choose one and focus on finishing it...

💼 Blacksmith, as the name suggests, works primarily as a blacksmith. On other days, he's a viking with Ivarr...
🍀 I absolutely adore Ivarr, and I wanted to be his best friend in that universe. So, I made him a partner-in-crime kinda character, and then realized I could make my fanon background for Ivarr and why he's the way he is in the canon events. One thing led to another, and I made them an aromantic couple (partnering). The idea was Blacksmith is sort of like the "rational" part in Ivarr's chaos, not sure if I wrote him that well, but I did what I can... I also made a Deathcore AU for them and it's my favorite thing to imagine in my head ✨👌...
✏️ Oh man, I kinda stopped earlier this year. I have written about 80% of his lore and literally all I have to do now is connect the events and add some minor plots in between. Unfortunately, after many months of thinking and headscratching I cannot find a face-claim for him! That's a major issue I am having - I need an actor who's buff, can rock a full beard, and is NOT conventionally attractive (e.g. the Hemsworths, Momoa and the like, you know what I mean? 😂😂). I need a bigger rat-boy for my smaller chaotic rat-boy 😂... If anyone has a suggestion for an actor please, please feel free to comment 🙏😭...
