For anyone who has read the reincarnation fantasy romance webtoons or just regular fantasy romance novels, do you know what I despise??
It's when the girl is in love with an adult dude who fucking has seen her grow up from a little girl to an adult woman and she marries him because the feelings are returned...! To name a few of those that have done this, just in case you don't want to bother reading, I Belong To House Castielo, Little Lady Mint, and Daughter of The Emperor are guilty of this.
And here's the thing, some try to justify it with the fact that if the girl is reincarnated, she's actually older than she seems. Which, yeah, fair enough, but what the fuck about the fucking adult man!? It makes him look so sus and we question every interaction between him and her because she grew up with him!!! And the dude doesnt know she's reincarnated because obviously that's not something you drop into the fucking conversation. It makes me root more for the second male lead who actually is her age! And I mean current age, not the age she was when she died and got reincarnated. I ain't adding that shit up.
It's just bad.
Hell, even those who don't have a huge age gap, like 4-6 year age gaps would be fine...if both were already adults!!! No! You have someone who is 12 being loved by someone who is 16! Back when I was in highschool, we were disgusted by seniors who would try to date freshmen girls. One dude even tried to date a middle school girl! Come the fuck on!!!

Now I do understand that the fantasy romances are usually set in a medieval setting or even 1800s royal setting, where shit like this was normal. But as the author or creator, it's not like you have to follow it. You're already adding magic and even modern themes into the mix, but you can't age up your character or even age down the love interest??
Like it's just gross and slimy. And it doesn't paint the male lead in a good light either. Like it's hard to like a male lead who is 20+ years older than the female lead who met and grew up with him since she was fucking 5! And by the time they marry, she's 16 and he's 36!
UGHHH!
Anyway that was my rant...I'm tired.

yeeeeeaaaah i pulled a vanishing move, i know. i was gone for quite a bit, wasn't i?
Well life kinda suddenly kicked me in the ass from one day to the other so i had to suddenly disappear :')
BUT now I'm finally in my own place, with my kitten Lavendel (imma upload pictures. She is a cutie), and have time to write! Maybe end of the year i also will be able to get back into drawing if my dad & I can save up so i can get the Galaxy Tab I've been eyeing as my PC is done with :')

Yo! I'm so busy with work that I haven't been able to write or drawn anything.
The last time that I drew was on a tiny paper with a number after I waited like 10 minutes to be helped by my phone company (btw, how do you say that in English? Waiting number? It's like a ticket they give you with a number that they call once it's your turn to go to the customer service agent's desk). It was a tiny Goku and then some flowers.
Anyway, I'll definitely write and draw the requests that I received but need some time. Don't you think I forgot, ok?!

Okay, very off topic for this blog, but cool people don't keep accessibility tools to themselves.
This thing WORKS. I have strength issues, and part of the issue with a lot of jar openers is that they still require a decent amount of force to get the jar open.
All you have to do with this one is set it on the jar and press a button, and it will open it for you, no force on your part required. It'll twist it until the seal pops.
It's $39 CAD on Amazon (before shipping and taxes), so if it's doable for you I'd definitely recommend looking to see if it would work for you!

Spoiler Warning For A Duke's Bored Daughter Is My Master!!!
(( Well another rant for another webcomic..., this is also it's own separate warning because guess what!? The Male Lead is 18 and the female lead is 13! 🤬🤬🤬 So here's your content warning here if you don't want to go any further past the read more.))
Here's the thing...the story was good. Keyword here being WAS because I completely dropped it after witnessing that fucking scene. It was a kiss scene but still, it had romantic undertones! Like come on! Authors, you could have bridged that age gap a little bit fucking closer, don't you think!?
And guess what? Yes, it was another reincarnation manhwa/webcomic. Where you have a full ass grown woman in the body of young child having to relive her days in a new life.
BUT THAT IS STILL NO EXCUSE! LIKE PLEASE FORGET HISTORICAL ACCURACIES OR WHATEVER! THIS IS FICTION!
Listen, the story had a good thing going on. I love strong, female leads who are badasses and can kickbutt. But this....this just ruins it for me when you have an age gap that normally wouldn't be a problem if the main characters were in their 20s! Others had a hard time getting into it because apparently the author wanted to lay down the romance and lay it down they did, but i would have preferred the romance when the leads were closer in age.
Now i think, and this is my assumption/opinion so infer what you will, but i believe the author tried to make it seem more acceptable by making the female lead and male lead meet while they were children. But here's the thing about what's wrong with that, the 5 year age gap is still there. There was a 3 year time skip where the female lead is 13, and let me tell you they tried so hard to make her seem like she wasn't 13..., but that still means that the male lead was 15 and she was 10!!
So yeah, if you've made it this far and were thinking about this webcomic, here is your warning. The age gap will constantly be on your mind like a car riding on the ass of another car. You can't just forget it because its such a huge gap once you know their actual ages. Because even though the female lead is a grown adult, she is only an adult mentally and spiritually. Physically she is not and she would be perceived as a child by those in her environment, which makes it so much weirder, when you have the male lead who is 5 years olders than her!
Like please! Make it make sense! Make it less pedophilic and gross! Because all these technicalities ain't it!

I like to imagine that while yes, demons and angels can get injured, they have no idea what sickness is. So one day when you wake up really sick, they think you're cursed.
They think it's an awfully strong curse, actually, because they can't even pinpoint what it is or any trace of magic, but they can just feel something is there and it's wrong and not normal and that you're not okay.
Maybe at first the brothers try and not tell anyone since they think they can solve it without help, but after the third day and no progress and you laying in bed, unable to eat, sweating, vomiting, sneezing, and pale, they decide to suck it up and bring you to the castle.
Another personal favorite idea of mine is that due to the lack of sun, the Devildom is absolutely freezing most of the time, so it's harder to recover if you fall ill.
Upon reaching the castle and explaining, Diavolo assigns Barbatos to help care for you. When even that doesn't work as well as it should and finding the right spell to work is hard, they turn to Purgatory Hall to help.
Of course, the angels are just as confused. Why are you not getting better? Why are you only getting worse?
It's not until, through gasps of air after laughing so hard when he realizes what's wrong, that they get an explanation. That this is something called illness and that you're not getting better because it's too cold.
So he's asked to curse you, pride thrown aside. When he actually sees you, though... He frowns, immediately switching into concern and doing things like checking your temperature, getting you water, trying (and getting kicked out for even thinking of the kitchen) to make you soup, and so on. Simple things to get you going.
When asked why he's not just healing you, the explanation boils down to how complex diseases can be and how he'd have to find the exact strand of whatever you have to get a spell ready.
So, instead, you're kept in the castle with a heating spell in the room and the utmost pampering and divine of services to help.
Simeon and Luke and Barbatos make you gentle foods to help your stomach. Lucifer and Diavolo and Solomon and Mephistopheles and Raphael come to check on you. Asmodeus and Satan come to help make sure you're bathed and your clothes are changed, that you truly are getting better. Mammon and Leviathan and Beelzebub and Belphegor are the best conversation, company, and entertainment you have. Thirteen makes sure that things are okay by making sure your candle is still lit, maybe a little dim, but lit nonetheless.
And when you do finally get better, you don't miss the opportunity to go out of your way and thank them all individually.
