As someone who loves to get immersed in fanfiction, I always feel drawn towards mlm ships because of the angst they bring to the table. I like male characters who are vulnerable. The way we just see them struggle with their feelings for each other and try to get past their emotional walls is just so compelling to me. It's like taking the red pill from the Matrix but it's two male characters who feel out of place in the narrative of the societal norm they've been put in and how they find that one person that gives them meaning. Men are stubborn when it comes to confessing what they truly want and that makes the drama just hit harder. I like healthy relationships but I want to see m/m relationships who are bad at feelings and who have to go through a boatload of pain before anything gets better. Because that is what paves the way for happiness and love in the future. Call me masochistic but I just love angst and pain with all my heart. I could read fanfics like that for hours and never get bored.

Roleplay Call:
Hello! Recently I've been hyperfixated on The Boys TV series and have been poking around for anyone who might be interested in roleplaying something. I have years of roleplay experience and though my responses can sometimes be a bit slow I do my best to make them at minimum 2 paragraphs and detailed!
I can play the following characters:
Homelander, Black Noir, Billy Butcher and Hughie (Though my favorites to play are Homelander and Noir.) I also have an OC I've been wanting to test out but I might be a bit of a hypocrite in saying I don't generally roleplay against OCs myself.
I'm okay with dark themes but I don't do smut, mostly because it just doesn't interest me, I'm more so looking for story driven stuff where we can really explore the characters we're playing.

My current fixation is Noirlander and I really enjoy your fics. I can't stop thinking about them and I wonder what is your thoughts about this: if Noir found out what Homelander did to Blindspot, how do you think he would react? What would Noir feel when Homelander picks on the Deep or A-train?
Ooooh, good questions!
Okay so I think that Noir has kind of been.... frog-boiled into accepting Homelander's hissy fits. It's happened so gradually that he just sort of accepts them as part of working with Homelander.
My personal headcanon is that Noir thinks of the Homelander as his son, and as a result of that, ends up justifying Homey's behavior. Noir would be horrified at what happened to Blindspot--who wouldnt'?--but at the same time, I think he'd see it as a risk of working with Homelander. He might take Homey aside after the fact and tell him "You can't just do that, what the fuck", but those talks have less and less of an effect on the Homelander these days.
As far as Kevin and A-train are concerned... that's a good question. And kind of complicated. Because while I think Noir would agree that sometimes yeah, they need a Talking To, the actual methods that Homelander uses--debasing, abusing, etc--are probably a little triggering for him. He thinks about talking to the Homelander about it, but every time Noir gets ready to confront him, Homelander will smile a certain way, or his face will twitch just so, or a laugh will have that familiar cruelty behind it. And so Noir just keeps his head down and doesn't make waves.

The Boys Season 3 Theory
Alright, MAJOR spoilers ahead folks for those that haven't read the comics! Here's my thoughts on what I think is going on for Season 3 of The Boys. I just had to write this somewhere because I feel I'm onto something and I'm never right about this stuff!
AGAIN: Comic spoilers under the cut. So if you haven't read the comics and don't want spoiled, stop reading here!
Alright, here we go!
I think they're gonna do the Noir reveal this season and here's why:
1. The scene with Homelander in front of the mirror is from the comics. I imagine that to be Noir in Homelander's costume practicing expressions and mannerisms for when he appears in public.
2. The fact that Annie comments saying he's fucking crazy and broken. Now this can be taken loads of ways because yes, that's true that Homelander is like that. But what if it's especially noticeable because its Noir? He's pretending to be Homelander, but amping things up just like in the comics to make him seem even more crazy?
3. There was a news article where Kripke hinted that we may see Noir unmasked this season. This is from a Twitter Q & A he did in October 2020.
4. There's also been a rumour that the guy who plays Noir is leaving this season. Which would make perfect sense if they're doing the reveal as Noir being a Homelander clone.
5. Homelander looks so off in the trailer. Specifically that scene where he's shirtless. His face looks really plastic/tight looking. What if it's actually Noir waking up after some kind of surgery? We haven't seen Noir since the fight with Maeve, so who knows what kind of drugs Vought are pumping him with (assuming just V?). Yet all the same, if V can heal then that would make sense as to why 'Homelander' (or rather Noirlander) looks so weird in that scene. Because the skin is shiny/plastic looking almost like after a repair surgery. And as you'll remember, his skin got all charred and burned in the first episode of Season 2.
6. OR that scene instead could be the real Homelander with his powers having been nullified by Solider Boy, hence why he looks pissed off and is about to bang on the glass separating him from Ashely (I think?) who is on the other side. Adding to this, Lamplighter mentioned to Hughie that Vought have containment rooms for Supes. Now, while I don't think there would be one strong enough to hold Homelander, if his powers had been nullified then that's another story. Which would make sense as there is clearly glass separating Homelander (or perhaps Noirlander) from the woman (I'm assuming Ashley) in that clip. You can see what appears to be a logo/text on the glass.
7. The emphasis of "Showing you the real me." It might be too on the nose, sure. But I also think that's a massive hint. It seems very like Kripke and The Boys team in general to brag about literally telling us right from the start what was going on, but no one picked up on it. The whole reveal of The Boys having powers, while people were pissed that it was a huge spoiler, what if it was a distraction from the main big twist, being the Noir reveal?

Almost all the more popular ships from The Boys are terrible actually:
Homewell - Super Grooming, self explanatory.
Noirlander - Grooming or extremely fucked up clonecest, Noir literally helped torture, train, and enable Homelander. Or you read the comic, self explanatory.
Butchlander - Super Toxic homicidal enablers. Self. Explanatory.
Butchie - Toxic, predatory behavior/grooming. Butcher literally scopes the poor kid out while he's incredibly vulnerable due to recent trauma to try and manipulate and use him for personal gain. He's reminded of his baby brother by Hughie but acts like his own father, actively trying to turn Hughie into another one of them by throwing Robin's death in his face and making his trauma worse.
Homelight/Starlander - SELF. EXPLANATORY.
Maevelander - SELF. EXPLANATORY.
Homelander/Stormfront - SELF. EXPLANATORY.
Butcher/Becca - Butcher was so codependent on Becca that it was destroying her mental health. He refused to seek professional help and just used Becca as his "cure". She never feels safe enough to tell him what happened because of it and I'm sorry but that is NOT what a wife should ever have to feel towards her own husband. If she knew a fraction of what he'd done "in her name" after she disappeared/died, she would rightfully HATE him.
Hughlander - SELF. EXPLANATORY.
Hughlight - Actually normal/good! They are the one reasonably healthy couple presented in the story. They have their issues but handle them within generally reasonable proportion and help each other be better people. Hughie is at his worst when Butcher is trying to corrupt him. Annie is at her worst when Vought is trying to corrupt her. And still they manage to beat the odds like a true power couple.
The list goes on.
No, don't you dare stop shipping your faves just because they're problematic. Have fun, that's the whole point of shipping! You can even CHANGE them or the story to make them NOT problematic.
But Unless your favorite ship from The Boys is Hughlight?
Complaining about how "problematic" the others are is BIG HYPOCRITE move.
"Well okay yeah, but THIS ship is especially terrible-"
Shut the fuck up already, they are ALL TERRIBLE! Don't try to deflect your personal guilt onto others, own up to your own bullshit!
LIKE your problematic faves, be loud and be proud about it! IT'S FICTION! The point is FUN so have it!

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
Not to yuck people's yum, but I will never fully understand Dom Daddy Homelander where he is actually good at being a Dom Daddy. I think he likes to see himself that way, but he isn't in real life. Perfectly okay for people to have that fantasy, but I am left wondering anyway. It's just the heterosexual-woman version of the sigma male edits for him, and they don't make a lot of sense, either.
9. Could you be roommates with this character?
I think he'd be more annoyed by me than I by Homelander. I am a huge germaphobe, and I hate people touching my belongings. So there'd be strict lines: this is mine, this is yours. Don't cross that line. I just know he'd needle me about it constantly because exploiting people's weaknesses is all he does.
He's clean if not covered in blood, that's for sure. So I give him that.
I'm also more mentally ill than him, so again, I think he'd suffer more in this condition of having to live with me. Also, I love minimalistic decoration and white walls above everything, so he'd have sooo many panic attacks in our shared room. I feel sorry for him.
11. Would you date this character?
No. I prefer to live. I'm also just not attracted to him. I like him, but that's not enough to build a relationship with. I also fall out of love quickly, and that'd be my death and his ego death. Bad for us.
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
ONE headcanon? One? Okay, he has insomnia. I say this as someone who has insomnia and has had insomnia so bad I nearly died from it (two weeks is my current record, and my body started failing at this stage).
I think sometimes, the voice in the mirror gets a bit too loud and he decides to listen, so he stops doing human behavior ENTIRELY. No food, no sleep, no interaction. He just stops being human. The problem: he IS. And even though he can survive under those conditions for longer than a regular guy, it still wears on him eventually.
I think at least part of his erratic behavior can be explained by just never getting enough rest.
16. What's your least favorite ship for this character?
Any member of the 7 that is not Maeve or Starlight. I don't see Deeplander, Trainlander, Noirlander. I just don't get the appeal.

Sexuality Headcanon: He's bi. Generally prefers women, and probably doesn't think of himself as bi, but he absolutely is.
Gender Headcanon: 100% a cis man.
A ship I have with said character: Homefront, Maevelander. A little Deeplander and Noirlander, and a little Homewell.
A BROTP I have with said character: Noirlander.
A NOTP I have with said character: Butchlander. I know, I know, but Butcher and his gang are just so painfully boring to me 😭
A random headcanon: He honestly tries his best at being a good dad. He wants Ryan to have what he never get to have, growing up, so sometimes he ends up going a bit overboard. This includes doing things like taking Ryan to Legoland for his birthday, and giving him an alarmingly large sum of money before letting him loose in a toy store.
General Opinion over said character: I love him but good lord, get therapy. Also, I hate how the show is turning him more and more into a comic relief character, and I'm legit kind of afraid of what will happen in season four.
