From what I recall it seems like Murdoc doesn’t bring up his trauma/csa/abuse to excuse his behavior beyond a passing “yeah no wonder I’m like this” even though it would be very easy to pull the “woe is me I’m going through a lot rn” card when he’s acting like an asshole. In fact, he seems to be embarrassed by the implication he’s ever been a victim of anything. He needs to have an illusion of control at all times, and even when he’s in an obvious downward spiral, it’s all according to plan, he’s spiraling on purpose

#I don’t buy that his true nature is shy and reserved #I think he fully buys into his own bullshit and has a desperate insatiable need for attention #but he’s definitely riddled with anxiety and fear #it just manifests as anger and he masks it with alcohol and delusions of grandeur #people can be riddled with insecurity and anxiety and still be extraverted #murdoc niccals #gorillaz #I just need to ramble about him again. for my health #in the midst of an art block

I did a certain ritual a few weeks back, and since then my life has been full of baby birds, but also hundreds of flies.

The basement situation is fucking dire, but life can't be all sweet baby animals -- decomposition is a fact of life. Which isn't to say I'm not murdering as many flies as I can... just that I might not see all the baby birds as significant (it's springtime after all) if not for the simultaneous appearance of hundreds of flies.

My mother has delusions of grandeur as well as I believe, narcissism. As someone whose spiritual beliefs should not be considered more out there than the mainstream religions, but is, I personally bring alot of emphasis to how much I love science and nature.

That said, I agree with what he said. This is a positive attitude when not using the phrase for what it is literally about and more like a, Ha. You can't keep me down. Embrace the cray.
