What do you think needs improvement in wwe and aew

OKAY so prefancing this by the fact I have not watch WWE in over a year and the only things I know about WWE now is what im getting from tumblr

both companies need to stop relying on the old stars/ old wrestlers needing either a money hit or a cash hit or like another grasp at talent. as much as I LOVE daddy ass and re-living my childhood in wrestling but like I get sooo tired of seeing people relive the glory days when they shouldnt *cough* ric flair *cough*. like theres sooo many talented younger wrestlers that arent getting shown on TV/ in the companies because older wrestlers get quick pops because of the nostalgia run. I see goldberg one more time I will actually explode.

Aew needs to book more womens matches and treat them at the same like bundle and preface as men! Like give us a womans blood and guts!! and more womens matches in genearal where its more of a rough and tumble vibe with blood. My favourite womens match is the thunder rosa brit baker cage match!! Also give me more nyla like I love nyla rose sooo much and shes so talented and cool and I wanna see her wrestle more

also things that feel like "small" tag teams, like the best friends, arent being like shown how talent they are. I know that sentence doesnt make sense. But re-watching aew during the pandemic era- where you had the trent vs kenny match it was so good and it really showwed just how cool and talented trent is in the ring and I think both him and chuck should be allowed to wrestle more and actually wrestle like do moves and win matches, theyre not just to push other talent or let newer tag teams win, its kinda depressing when taented wrestlers arent used in the way they deserve too

another thing and this is just for me, maybe this is just for me. Like long term storytelling suddenly either being shifted/stopped. Like do you remember when mox was facing [I think its either max or jericho] and someone like attacked him backstage and we NEVER EVER got told/figured out who attacked him and its kinda just been forgotten? ALSO as much as I love the elite and the hangkenny storyline and hangman rejoining the elite. He caused so much issues and trouble with everything and he hurt them, like matt said that bte episode "it hurt my heart" and theyve all like, just kinda accpeted him back. No like deep apology or "you have to prove yourself" or whatever. Its like they forgot the entire three year story they told. Also kenny finding out about the fucking nod- it could have been done so much deeper and sadder and emotional, the bucks have been there with kenny since his breakdown/breakup with kota and theyve always had his back until the one moment he needed them and they sided with hangman. But instead of all of that we got "k its cool" and I dont know if its gonna like come back up after all the kenny dealing with callis emotions is gone. Cuz thats gotta like fuck someone up mentally, suddenly loosing that abusive manipultive hold on you suddenly disappearing.

and FANS!! like, I love wrestling fans but also god I hate them so much. Guys, Guys I am begging y'all to stop showing wrestlers fanfics/ship-fanart and everything else. its not like made FOR them its made FOR other fans. I wouldnt want to be exposed to being shipped with my friends by people online. Like....ugh. ALSO like a small thing that pisses me off is fans thinking we can like, touch them in sexual ways. this is mostly cis-het men touching cis women wrestlers on their asses and tits. Like you wouldnt like if someone fondled your dick without asking. Concent is important and its not just for ike, fucking. its for every single thing in life. Yall can cuddle the wrestlers if they say you can but god if youre making people uncomfortable and gross its fucking bullshit and youre a sucky human being.

talk about ur favourite wrestler/s? (<- has no idea about wrestling but is interested because of the gifs u rb)

I'll focus on one wrestler.

The lime light goes to Seth Rollins. He started out in NXT and had a big chip on his shoulder. he felt like he didn't belong in the beginning class of NXT and wanted to be moved up to main card so badly that he almost lost his job.

When he was moved up though he started out in a group known as The shield

It was with the shield that he made a name for himself. he held the tag team belt with roman reigns and was put in a lot of storylines within the shield. some of their biggest storylines was with the wyatt family (where bray wyatt played mind games with them and caused dean ambrose to question whether he was strong enough to be with them) and the authority (where they were the rebellious trio going up against the power tripping triple h and his lackeys). It was about three years that they were together, but with mention of the authority seth rollins betrayed the shield and it was a chair shot heard around the world

this started a new chapter for seth where he was basically triple h's and stephanie's golden boy. he was their specialist little wrestler, but he did earn his spot. there was some bumps in the road as randy orton did not trust him. but it was within the authority that seth rollins earned his money in the bank and cashed it in on wrestlemania to win the universal belt.

from here he felt like he was untouchable, which really made him a dick. but i believe it was orton who betrayed him and knocked him down a peg. he was no longer with the authority and this time fought to bring it down.

my memory is kind of fuzzy of what happened next, but the next evolution of seth rollins was that he became a messiah. he coined himself being the Monday Night Messiah

it was as if he was a religion as people loved him. his main feud within this era was against kevin owens. kevin owens goes against authority and viewed seth as a fool to be trying to take over raw. their big battle happened, i think, at wrestlemania, where seth rollins lost. this was a big blow to him and he went away for a while (a break irl. i believe it was around this time that he got married to becky lynch).

when he returned he was now known as "seth freakin' rollins". his personality was huge, and his fashion matched his new personality as every time he was seen he was dressed in a more outlandish outfit that suited him. he demanded everybody's attention and he rightfully earned it. if you see a gif of him laughing you can hear his cackle.

basically, in the simplest way to say, he served cunt.

at this year's wrestlemania he fought against logan paul (booo), but he managed to bring excitement to the match and put logan in his place.

i also believe seth rollins is a grand slam champion, meaning he's held EVERY belt in the company at least one time. the sky is only up for seth and if he develops a new persona it can only be more entertaining than the next.

My Current Dream Matches for Evil Uno

Thought I'd compile a list of opponents I'd love to see Uno up against since he is my favourite wrestler and I constantly love dreaming up opponents for him. If they were to actually happen, many of these would have to happen on the Indies but he is constantly taking Indy Wrestling bookings so I don't see that as a barrier but this is also just me dreaming up fantasy matches. Also feel free to send me your dream matches, whether that's with Uno or other wrestlers.

Danhausen

Outside of both of them being babyfaces which we've had many babyface vs babyface matches so I don't see why that would be a barrier, why hasn't this match happened yet? The few times they have interacted, whether it be Danhausen cursing Uno, tweets back and forth between the two or featuring on each other's vlogs, it's always a moment that is so loved by fans including myself, we really need a match between the two.

Penta Oscuro

I've joked about this before since Penta is Mrs Uno's crush so it should be in a Mrs Uno deserves nice things match 💀 but I'd really love a one on one match between the two. They have fought in tag team action before which was a really fun match but gimmie a one on one.

Thunder Rosa

They have a really cute friendship so I wouldn't even mind it if they tag teamed but after their tweets, let Rosa pin Uno... in a wrestling match.

Taya Valkyrie

I mostly want this match between I really really love the two but both Uno and Taya have loads of experience in intergender wrestling so gimmie my two faves against each other.

Trey Miguel

Ever since Uno faced Lince Dorado at Blitzkrieg! Pro (I'm aware that's not their first interaction but it was their most recent), I've been really wanting to see Uno wrestle more high flyers and Trey has been killing it (I really recommend his match against Mike Bailey at Impact Wrestling Against All Odds from this year), I'd really love to see all the different things they both could do with each other.

Tomohiro Ishii

A couple of times just recently I've heard people refer to Uno as a underrated hard hitter, why not give him a opponent where he could show off those skills?

Toru Yano

Speaking of NJPW stars, Uno has been calling for a match with Yano, give him his dream match + I could really see both of them having a really entertaining match.

Black Taurus

It's said a lot about big men who can fly but Taurus can do things that I don't think most people would expect when you first look at him. He is kinda underrated, similarly to Uno but I feel like they would have a really fun match. Preferably if Uno wants to, in Mexico as I'd love to see Uno in a AAA ring but even if it were to happen in a Indy promotion running in the USA or Canada, definitely wouldn't be against that either.

AMA, Angle, Hype, Powerhouse, Dark Match, and Gimmick.

Angle(favourite storyline/s. Why?): The BCC is still a favourite. I love them being a violent little group who can shift in and out where needed and watching the bond form between them. Thea Hail in NXT being corrupted by Jacy Jayne is fun, as is Athena having Billie as her minion.

Dark Match(favourite non televised match): Going to guess YouTube doesn't count as televised. Any and all combinations of Claudio and Yuta vs The Workhorsemen on Dark/Elevation.

Gimmick(favourite or least favourite gimmick matches): I am a huge fan of gauntlet matches when they're done right. I don't know how many times I've re-watched the gauntlet match on RAW from Feb 2018 when Seth went over an hour. The Kofi gauntlet match when he failed to get his title shot. Then the tag team gauntlet with the New Day fighting for Kofi's WrestleMania dreams, the moment when The Usos forfeited was so huge.

Hype(overrated or underrated wrestlers): Going with underrated because let's be positive today. No matter how many tag titles he wins, Xavier Woods is underrated as a singles wrestler. Chad Gable. I'm putting Yuta on my list too even though some people might not agree since he gets a lot of TV time, but outside of Tumblr, I think his value and abilities are still underrated and they haven't even touched on all that he's capable of yet. For women, again, it feels weird considering her success but I think Bayley's value to the women's division is highly underrated. She's so unselfish, she's a ring general, and can almost always get a good match out of her opponent. Natalya too, she's been around a while and is always an option for a quick feud with a top star when they need one.

Powerhouse(Wrestlers whose strength amazes you): Chad Gable. The guy suplexed Gunther. Claudio is always finding new ways to impress with his strength. Jamie Hayter.

hellooo. yesterday i finished the all star jr festival and here are my thoughts.

1 This was an amazing showcase of jr heavy weight talent (let's hope it help the njpw jr division)

2 Shun skywalker. i need to see more of him (and would love to see him work with Bushi again)

3 THE LADDER MACTH. It was an amazing fast paced bout. Was the cheese stake worthty? i hope so because all the wrestler involved gived their all. We can also see the GCW style of Blake Christian (i hope that Francesco can take the GCW title from him on september 1th)

4 one thing we know for sure is that the ABC would not turn on at least each other

(btw i still have to see impact X njpw show)

5 my favourite macth was for sure Mao & El desperado vs The east west express. it was the right combination between the younger generation and "older" generation. the thingh that hooked me the most it is the synergy of the two team not only inside of them but also between them.

Hi, Meg! I'm glad you enjoyed the show! I want you to know I thought of you when Mike Bailey challenged Takahashi for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship, because that's certainly something different! Although, I will say that someone else also challenged for it at the end of Multiverse United 2, but I won't spoil who as you said you haven't watched that show yet. (Putting the rest behind a cut because I'm sure my answer will get long.)

It was a great show to see live! Philadelphia/the 2300 Arena are among my favorite places on planet Earth, so going there to watch Nooj is always a treat. And I'm glad the show turned out because the tickets were overpriced in my opinion 😶 But overall absolutely worth it! It was great getting exposed to some people that truthfully I might never get to see live again, and I've found a few wrestlers who I definitely want to keep my eye on―but I'll go into that more on the podcast 😉

As for my favorite matches... hands-down both of Kevin Knight's matches (the first because, you know... Clark); the ladder match; the Lucky Dip tag match; and Mao and El Desperado vs. East West Express. I so want to know how they worked out to draw the "right" sticks in the Lucky Dip match, because you know that shit wasn't actually random 😂 Ace looked SO devastated to be on the opposite side of the ring from Bey, he had a legit thousand-yard stare going on.

As for the cheesesteaks, it was hilarious when they presented Douki with a whole fucking tray of them, and I don't think he even had a single bite of one. He has to watch his figure 😂 But Takahashi and Rocky sure went to town.

But even though he didn't win, I was SO impressed with Kevin Knight. And now that I think about it, I'm kind of surprised that Bailey won instead of him since Knight is NJPW and Bailey is Impact? But as it's been discussed, they NEED to expand the junior division, and I'm hoping this is a step in that direction. There are several people I wouldn't mind seeing added into the mix there (mainly Mao lol).

But yeah, I feel very lucky to have seen that show live, and I'll definitely get into the experience and my thoughts and opinions more on the podcast this week!

Your favourite "era" in Wrestling? honestly probably the early 2020 to mid 2021. i know thats very specific, but its also very much when they had to get more creative with it, and they could push the limits and do a lots of cool stuff that was different from the regular. im not a fan of really any specific era, everything has its goods or bads but i do like modern wrestling more in a sense that its more accessible and has generally better content imo

10. Best looking title belt? i dont really pay attention to belt designs... but the asia dream tag team titles from gatoh move are gorgeous honestly. must be one of my favorites

11. Worst looking title belt? personally i always hated the first aew womens belt. it looked like a cheap plastic toy in comparison to all the other titles

12. Best "Big Man" style wrestler? (Doesn't have to be a man) idk if i have a favorite big man honestly. was never really my type hmm. i mean. if it doesnt have to be a man, does jade cargill count? she is a big tall strong woman and i'd let her step on me. idk what big man means LMAO

13. Best "Little Man" style wrestler? (Doesn't have to be a man) since hes a high flyer angelico totally counts, right? hes tall but he has a very little man style. again, i have no idea what this actually means ajsndkjasnjk

14. Favourite feud? ..if you know me this answer is sssoooooo obvious but. kip sabian and orange cassidy. the mind games still go on. im eating this whole feud like my life depends on it. its so fucking good

15. Favourite faction? going by whats first in my head, united empire. i probably have others but yeah

16. Favourite authority figure? scott d'amore is the only one i respect tbh

17. Favourite style of Wrestling? (Technical, High Flying, Hardcore, Comedy, Spot Fest, Strong and so on) i dont know if i have a specific style i like the most, honestly. i adore a lot of them for different reasons and in phases, i guess like high flying and comedy will always be my favorites. tho ive been leaning a lot into having an interest in technical wrestling in the past year too, so theres that. but i just like a little bit of everything, im not very picky

Favourite gimmick? okay so theres. two answers to this. one you already know im sure lol. cause i goddamn fucking ADORE kip sabian. this man is a creative genius and tho they are heavily downplaying his character atm, knowing how its built and how its supposed to function is so fascinating to me and makes me love it cause its honestly very convoluted and not played straight whatsoever and its. so good. the best goddamn thing and i hate it when people are like "no thats stupid" just cause they dont get it like. theres for once a neat and interesting thing in wrestling and ppl complain cause its not something handholdy. sorry tangent anyways the other answer is the original monday night messiah seth rollins. god complex beyond belief my beloved

Trans people in pro wrestling and other sports

So, I’ve had a really on and off history with sports. Being a trans guy didn’t help that. Even though I was 12 when I came out, consistently throughout school I had to continue doing sports with the girls.

We did field hockey and netball (which I hated), when the other guys got to do rugby, like my older brother. I really wanted to try it, but I was never allowed. I used to do swimming, until I got injured, and then got my hair cut short just before I came back to swimming, and had to stop going because I kept getting funny looks in the changing rooms.

A few years ago I discovered yoga (especially this vid), which I’ve been really enjoying doing in my own time, especially during the pandemic, and, unexpectedly, getting better at it. This video has also helped me get into calisthenics, which look frickin amazing.

But the pandemic also gave me time to procrastinate from schoolwork to discover pro wrestling and get obsessed with it. I love the deathmatches, they look cool af, but my favourites are tag matches. I love a good tag team- Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley, William Regal and Eugene, Death Triangle, The Golden Lovers. Wherever there’s chemistry between the performers, I’m absolutely sold.

I kinda came to the realisation that I really wanted to give pro wrestling a try, and discovered Simon Miller, who is an absolute godsend, but there have never been any out trans men in wrestling before, which is just sending me absolutely around the bend.

There are a few trans women in pro wrestling, like Sonny Kiss, Nyla Rose, Mariah Moreno, Gabby Tuft and Edith Surreal, who have been making waves and changing the game for years, and Mack Beggs is a trans masc amateur wrestler from Texas who has been advocating for trans rights in sports since he was a teenager, whilst he was busy winning the state championship 2 years in a row. What an amazing band of people.

This article written by Paul Heyman as one of the biggest and influential Jewish people in the world of pro wrestling really showed me that people have been making waves and trying to make space for more ‘outsiders’ in the world of pro wrestling for years, I’m so glad all these people have been sharing their stories and making the world a more accepting place.

But I’m still so worried about the hypermasculinity of the environment, all those jacked cis white dudes pure gawping at the state of me. I’m not ready to try out yet, but even so, I can’t image they’d take very well to a short, underexperienced, dickless, less-than-soyboy like me. I’m sure some of them would be lovely, but like, can you imagine somebody like Brock Lesnar watching somebody like me sauntering into the gym and pick up some dumbells for a few reps? I’ll just have to be brave and find out what’ll happen, but goddamn have I got a long journey ahead of me if I want to take this on.

I Must Be Stupid

El Phantasmo x Female Reader Requested Prompts: can we get a fluff and angst with elp, maybe a hint of jealousy, can reader also be a wrestler pls 🙏🏽, maybe you work for a company that’s far away from elp and you’re in a story line that with a wrestler (any promotion and wrestler) and he gets jealous, and you guys argue next time you guys see each other, i hope that makes sense! Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 1545 Warnings: Fluff, angst and well, jealousy. Summary: ELP isn't a fan of your storyline with LA Knight. A/N: Y'all really wanna see this lanky fuck being jealous, huh. First time writing Phanta, hope I did him justice. Also, this is the song I mention in the fic.

Riley and I met years ago, when we were both starving upcoming wrestlers on the indies.

I remember the day we met perfectly. I sat backstage on Defiant’s first ever episode of Loaded, talking to Walter, one of my best friends and trainer, when he arrived. Loud and obnoxious, the first thing he said to me was “Wanna be my baby momma?”

Of course it left me fuming, leaving poor Walter with the job of calming me down. The highlight of that night was seeing him getting his ass handed to him by Ridgeway and Walter.

God, how I loathed him.

Our paths crossed several times after that, all over the world. He apologised to me on our second encounter, mentioning how he gets weird around new people, how he loses his filter when he’s nervous, and how he was not so happy about getting chopped by Walter. We shook it off and started anew.

Turns out he was the coolest guy ever. Funny, quick witted and yeah, still very much annoying, but also very respectful and did everything to make me feel comfortable. Our friendship grew, we would share hotel rooms and ride together if we got booked on the same promotions, share meals and even train.

ELP asked me out after his deathmatch with Schadenfreude against Team Fight Club PRO. It was a sight I would never forget: a beaten, blood soaked and with thumbtacks stuck everywhere Riley stood before me, right after the gorilla’s entrance, with a dead look on his eyes and said “Do you wanna go on a date with me?” to which I could only nod, and got a “not today though. Today I’m a little… meh.” back.

He was so out of it that I had to grab him from his dressing room so we could head back to the hotel. The drive was made in silence, except from the occasional wince from him and a mumbled “I’m sorry” from me.

We ordered room service and shared a bed that night (since the hotel booked it wrongly), he said he meant the “date thing” as he hugged me while we watched some old rerun of Geordie Shore.

To me, that was our first date. He refuses to accept it, and says it happened a few days later, when he took me out for a picnic and a ride on the London Eye. Either way, both days were incredible in their own way.

See, everyday with him is incredible. Riley is attentive, we communicate well and he’s, surprisingly, an empath. We never fight, and when something bothers us, we sit down and talk it out.

So when I told him that I got an NXT contract, it was a week full of celebrations.

I was terrified of how it would go, with the fact that we would barely see each other and how we would handle it.

He reassured me daily that things would stay the same, that we had the means to talk daily and that we would visit each other whenever we had the time.

And it did stay the same. We had daily FaceTime calls, sometimes more than one, he would come over when he was in the US, I went to Canada when I had some free time and so on. Things got a little harder after he got in on the Bullet Club, the time zone was a little tricky, but nothing that bothered us.

Both of our careers have been going amazing. ELP is now a junior tag team champion, I’m in a storyline with LA Knight where I’m his manager, and I still get to wrestle (I’m the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, by the way!).

LA is the best co-worker I could ask for. He’s an incredible wrestler and an even better talker, which makes my job so much easier. Our on screen relationship is rather… ambiguous, we like to play around, leaving it open to the public to decide if it’s strictly business or if there’s something more.

Of course, it is all a play, as the both of us are in loving relationships.

As of right now, I’m on an early flight back to Canada. Last night I got involved in LA’s match against Thatcher, which earned me a sprained wrist and a broken nose for him. Hunter took pity on us, and knowing our work ethic, he gave us a week off, just to let us cool down. And since Riley just got home from Japan, I decided to surprise him.

I knock on his door with his favourite Tim Horton’s order in hand.

Riley opens it and says “Hey.”

Hey. Just hey. He usually tackles me down and takes me straight to the bedroom.

“Surprise?”

He looks at me like he has never had before, with what feels like disappointment in his eyes, and when I tried to kiss him, he turned away and sighed. My lips landed on his cheek.

“Riley, what’s going on?” I asked, worried.

“Nothing.”

“Nothing? Riley, there’s definitely something going on for you to act all weird with me. Talk to me. Please.”

He sighed again, looking down to his feet. The hold he had on the back of his living room chair was so hard, it turned his knuckles white.

“What is going on between you and Knight?”

My first reaction was to laugh. His face got darker and darker as I laughed.

“Are you serious?” The look he gave me said he was dead serious.

“There is nothing going on between LA and I–“

“I don’t know, you two look so cozy together.” he cut me off. I could feel the sarcasm dripping off his voice.

I should have known something was going on in his mind. Ever since the storyline started, Riley had gotten a little off. He never asked about how work was going anymore, and when I started talking about it, he would change the subject completely.

“I am doing my JOB, P. What the fuck?!”

“You sure look very happy doing it.”

“I don’t know what you are trying to insinuate, but I have nothing with him.”

It was his turn to laugh. He ran his hands on his head, making his unruly hair even messier. I cut him off when he started talking again.

“Do you think I like seeing you with Pieter on your lap all the time? No! But I know that’s your job and I trust you and I trust her! I know you and the guys go out all the time in Japan, should I throw a fit every time? Should I be suspicious of anything?”

”Baby, I’m–“ he tried to hold my hand and I stepped away.

“Do you think that if I had anything with him, I would have hopped on the first flight here to be with you? You know what? This was a mistake, I’m leaving.” I sat the Tim Hortons’ bag on his coffee table and grabbed my suitcase. “It’s your favourite, hope you have a nice breakfast.”

I called an Uber and went straight to the nearest hotel. I spent the whole ride trying to hold my tears, finally letting them fall when I got to my room.

I can’t even begin to understand what happened. We have never fought, Riley was always so understanding, what has gotten to him?

I fell asleep crying.

A few hours later, I woke up with a heavy thud on my bedroom door, and the faint sound of someone singing

“Soy un perdedor, I'm a loser, baby, so why don't you kill me?”. I knew that voice anywhere. We would sing that song to each other whenever we fucked up.

When I opened the door, P sat by it on the floor, with a bouquet of all of my favourite flowers.

“I’m so sorry, babe.” he said, looking up at me.

“How did you know I was here?”

“Tama.”

“Of course.” Tama had called me when I was still inside the Uber. He started talking about a bunch of things at the same time, his way of persuading people into spilling things out. “Get inside.” I told Riley as I left the door opened and went further into the room.

I could hear him quickly getting up and closing the door. He hugged me from behind, making me stop in the middle of the corridor. Holding me tightly, he kissed my head and went down to my neck and shoulder, repeatedly whispering “I’m sorry” between kisses.

We stood like that for a couple of minutes, silence eventually falling between us.

I grabbed the hand that held my waist and turned him around.

“Next time, we talk about it like we always did.”

“Okay, yes… yes. Again, I’m sorry. I don’t know what went on in my head.”

“It’s fine, just don’t question my loyalty and my love for you again.

“I won’t, I love you.” he hugged me again, this time resting his forehead on mine.

“Love you too.”

When was the last time you changed your opinion on somebody? A few days ago I found out that someone I probably know (but is anonymous) filed a complaint towards another person that I also know for acting indecently towards the complainant. I always knew that person had a...vibe, but I just didn’t know it was going to be the worst vibe possible. I never want to see them ever again because I might actually kick them. When did you last change your opinion on a situation? I haven’t changed my opinions in a while... literally what I can only remember is listening to a few Billie Eilish songs and accepting that she has some okay music lmaoooo, and this was a few months ago. Why did you last visit the doctor? My left eye was acting up so I wanted to have it checked before the lockdown that we all knew was going to happen. What was the last thing that made you feel proud and why? Finishing my thesis. Because duh, I actually did it? Do you like salt? Sure, it makes a lot of food more delicious.

Do you feel uncomfortable when people you hardly know confide in you? Honestly yes. I pride myself on being a good listener, but it doesn’t mean I’m comfortable with listening to everyone. I prefer keeping that opportunity to my close friends. I suppose it’s flattering when people I’m not close to see me as trustworthy, but if I had it my way I wish they went to another person instead. Have you ever regretted what you said in drunken conversation once sober? Sometimes. Is there anything coming up which you're dreading? I’m a little afraid of the period following graduation because it’ll be the first time in 18 years that I’m not in school, and it’ll be such a crazy transition. Let’s hope it doesn’t eat me alive. Anything you're looking forward to? Also the period after graduation, because yay adult life and independence and no more exams and stuff. Idk, lots of mixed feelings about it obviously. Do you ever do tedious tasks just to keep your mind occupied? Yes. It actually really helps and I like having things to do when there’s conflict or tension going on in my personal life. Have you ever lived with somebody with truly repulsive habits? Nah, I don’t think that about my family. Repulsive traits sure, but not habits. Do you tend to say things because they're appropriate not because you mean them? Sometimes, and it’s usually to be polite and/or nice. It costs nothing to tell someone you like someone’s dress or makeup or shirt, and you can even help make their day. What was the last thing to perplex you? Probably some stupid, nonsensical thing Duterte said in one of his addresses. What was the last thing to fascinate you? I rewatched Beyoncé’s Homecoming on Netflix and everything about it fascinated me, as always. I will neverrrr get tired of watching her concerts; she always puts so much love and effort and soul into each show. What was the last thing to annoy you? I don’t feel like getting into it. When did you last work your socks off fruitlessly? A few months ago, in the earlier stages of making our thesis. Andrew and I would often bust our asses into the night, tweaking and researching and editing, and submit our work feeling proud of it only for it to be thrown back at us with a million comments and corrections in bloody red ink. I feel like we got a record number of sermons and unaccepted drafts compared to other students, so it just made me detached from my thesis altogether and in the end I mostly finished it for the sake of finishing it. I’m proud of finishing it of course, but I’m no longer passionate about it like I used to be, and I doubt I’ll ever bring it up in future conversations unless someone asks. When did your hard work last pay off? Today, in the final stages of our thesis. I really wish I loved it more, though. What is a word you hate? Grind makes me uncomfortable lol Do you have a favourite childrens book? Sure. If yes, what is it? Corduroy. I would go to the school library to read it almost everyday; I never got tired of it. I also really liked Tikki Tikki Tembo because his whole name was so fun to pronounce haha. When did you last feel a need to be alone? Last week when it rained and it was cold for the first time in months. The weather made me feel ~some type of way~ and I stayed in my room all day. I wasn’t sad, I really just wanted to savor the weather by myself. When did you last "need" to be around people? Right now. I’ve increasingly been feeling this way by the day.

Have you ever been in a job where you didn't fit in with your co-workers? Not a job, but this was me during my experience applying for a local chapter of an international youth org called AIESEC. I really thought I could fake my way in and I was adamant at first because I like what the org does and besides, AIESEC looks really good on a resumé; but it’s one of the rare times that even faking it didn’t cut it for me. I was miserable and no one talked to me every time I hung out in their lounge, and their org culture was so different from what I’m used to with my home org. I didn’t last long and I ghosted the application process after a month. What do you do to "expand" your mind? For me that’s always best achieved by trying out new things, so I make it a point to have brand-new experiences every time I can. When did you last REALLY want to go out but couldn't for whatever reason? LOL. March to present. Do you need a wee right now? I do not. Is there a certain noise/sound which scares you? Yeah, loud ‘DUN’ sounds that come with jumpscares, the Windows XP shutdown sound is also weirdly scary to me, and people yelling when they’re drunk. The last one particularly reminds me of fights at home. When did you last eat sweeties? Idk what you mean by sweeties, but the last time I had anything sweet was this afternoon when my dad made churros with a chocolate dip. Do you have a favourite micro-organism? No lol What was the last thing to upset you? The recent news about a wrestler, Shad Gaspard, who was reported missing after he got swept out to sea while at the beach with his family. He told rescuers to save his kid first, but they were never able to find him after. They tried to look for him for several hours but eventually, they called the search off and now he’s presumed to have died. It’s very sad and heavy and a lot to take in. He was one of my favorites growing up because he was in a hilarioussssss tag team with another guy, JTG, and both of them were always so entertaining. It sucks, and 2020 continues to suck. What was the last thing to make you happy? Like I said, I watched Homecoming earlier. Beyoncé always puts me in a better mood, so there’s that. Have you ever eaten chocolate for breakfast? Just hot chocolate. I’ve never eaten like a chocolate bar or anything similar. Do you like balloons? They’re admittedly fun, but I know they can also be harmful to the environment so I don’t buy or use them if it’s even remotely unnecessary to. Out of the people you know, whose birthday is next? Laurice. Does that person have any plans to celebrate their birthday? I’m sure their family has something planned out inside their house, but obviously they can’t celebrate by going out for now. Do you enjoy swimming? Yes. When will you next go to the beach? I have no clue. When at the beach do you like to swim in the sea? Ugh man. Awful timing for these questions... yeah I guess. But I don’t want to think about that now. If you have pet fish do you bother to name them? When I was a kid I did name each of my goldfish. Do you like adventure games like Monkey Island and Diskworld? No. Did you ever read the Terry Pratchet "Disk World" books? I did not. If yes to the question above, what are they like? Have you had to change a nappy lately? Nope, no babies around here. Would you like a holiday about now? Not really. It’s not like I can celebrate it or go for a vacation. What's stopping you from going on holiday right now? So tired of saying it every time. If you know you know. Do you keep your eggs in the fridge? Yes, we do. Have you ever owned chickens? Nope. Super common to just see chickens running about the highway once you reach the province though hahaha. Do you like classical music? Some. I sometimes like listening to classical playlists when I study, but not always. When did you last listen to music? An hour ago. Have you ever seen "Canibal the Musical"? I haven’t. Are your breasts sore? Nopes.

G1 CLIMAX 29 FINAL: Kota Ibushi (A Block Champion) vs. Jay White (B Block Champion) *****

The 29th annual G1 Climax climaxed with an excellent and beyond newsworthy show, which capped off the best Tournament in history. In notable happenings from a jam-packed Nippon Budokan; The L.A. Dojo Young Lions of Connors and Fredericks were victories over the New Japan Dojo Lions of Tsuji and Narita in a great little opener. This was a physically intense, and heated 9:53 encounter, in which it was made apparent that New Japan’s future is incredibly bright with these guys on the rise. Connors locked Tsuji in a Boston Crab for a mighty struggle, before Yota had to tap. Jon Moxley put Juice Robinson through a table in the post match of their brief doubles match, to undoubtedly set up an impending rematch for the US. Title.

In probably the most talked about thing coming out of the show, KENTA turned on Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI, in their Six Man against the Bullet Club Tonga squad, and joined the nefarious B.C. The match was good, but the angle that followed more than elevated this. After jumping off the apron when refusing an Ishii tag, KENTA hit the ring, laying his supposed tag partner out with a Busaiku Knee, followed by the Go 2 Sleep to allow Tama Tonga to get the pin at 8:35. Before KENTA could cut a promo, explaining his actions, his ‘good friend’ Katsuyori Shibata hit the ring like a man possessed and destroyed him with some stiff strikes. The Bullet Club tried to intervene, but Shibata sent them packing, and landed a devastating corner dropkick to KENTA’s face. He locked on a rear naked choke, then went for the PK, but Jado nailed him in the back with his kendo stick, which allowed KENTA to lock his own choke in, then nail Shibata with his own PK. KENTA then sat, cross legged, on Shibata’s chest, as the Bullet Club celebrated their new recruit. This was an amazing angle, probably the best I’ve seen in some years, and the crowd were going crazy for all of this. Obviously, Shibata’s physical involvement (his first of any kind since April 2017) will provoke a lot of discussion as to what happens with him next. The logical conclusion to jump to is a Shibata/KENTA match for WK14, but given the severity of the injury he received (it nearly cost him his life), it could be unlikely we will see him back in the ring. But we shall see. It’s also worth noting that all involved were very careful not to hit Shibata anywhere near the head. My guess is the Bullet Club beating down a retired wrestler, one who is retired because of a serious injury, was to get them over as evil dicks who stooped to new lows. Regardless of where this goes from here, Shibata looked great out there, and it was an unbelievable, and unforgettable moment.

The previous angle was going to leave a lot to follow, but with this being New Japan, they certainly managed to. Suzuki and ZSJ were victorious over the Okada/Tanahashi dream team, in an excellent doubles clash next. This was an all-action contest, which had a great closing stretch. The story here was Zack vs. Tana and Suzuki vs. Okada, both of which are likely to be the top matches at Royal Quest in London on August 31st. The finish saw ZSJ and Tanahashi brawling on the outside, whilst in the ring Okada and Suzuki nailed each other with hard forearms. The King dodged an Okada dropkick, nailed a PK, then went for the Gotch Piledriver, but Tanahashi broke it up with a Sling Blade. Suzuki took an Okada dropkick to the back, then blocked a Rainmaker, and countered another dropkick attempt into an unbelievable la mistica (think about that), and transitioned into a choke. Once he had put Okada sufficiently to sleep, Suzuki turned it into the Gotch Piledriver, as Zack had Tana tied up in submissions, to cleanly pin the IWGP Heavyweight Champion at the 15:27 mark, and firmly stake his claim as the next challenger for the belt. Suzuki looked great here, having quietly waited in the weeds having been snubbed a G1 spot, waiting for the perfect time to strike, and found it here. Suzuki tells Okada it must be pretty embarrassing to lose to a guy not deemed good enough to be in the G1, then informs him he’s coming for his Title. Everything about this was tremendous.

But as tremendous as it all was, it paled in comparison to the absolute wrestling masterpiece that was the G1 Climax Final. Look, I know some people hate Jay White. I know people hate all the heel stuff, all the interference and shenanigans, but that is something New Japan have always done, and will always do. There’s literally never been a period of NJPW history that hasn’t had some no good son of a bitch heel at the top of the card, using nefarious tactics to win. Now yes, I agree that it all gets a bit much when you have three guys in one Block doing this, but only one of those guys is a main eventer, and that’s Jay. And at the end of the day, all of that cheating and chicanery paid off here, helping to weave a masterful story. White came out with the entire Bullet Club, but Red Shoes kicked all of them bar Gedo out of ringside. Not long after, Gedo was ejected too, meaning Switch Blade had to go it alone (nudge, nudge). Jay slowly, and meticulously, worked over Ibushi’s injured left ankle that he helped to destroy the night before, but Ibushi would always battle back. It wasn’t long before Gedo made his way out again, after Jay escaped a Lawn Dart attempt, and bumped Kota into Red Shoes. Jay chop blocked Ibushi’s knee, then Gedo held him down whilst Jay nailed his injured leg with two chair shots, then locked in the TTO, as Gedo rolled Red Shoes back in. After an epic, and totally believable struggle (Jay had beaten Juice Robinson the exact same way in Yokohama), Ibushi finally made the ropes, which popped Budokan. White tries the Sleeper Suplex, but Ibushi escapes by hitting a (one-legged) moonsault kick, finally hit the lawn dart, and scored a near fall with the dead lift German off the ropes. Ibushi tries the Last Ride, but Jay frees himself by hammering Ibushi’s ankle, and slaps Ibushi hard across the face. This brought out “psycho Ibushi”, who devastated White with a flurry of hard strikes. Ibushi goes for the wind-up lariat, but White hits a snap Dragon Screw out of nowhere, tries another, but Kota finally hits his big Lariat for the double down. A (one-legged) Last Ride gets a near fall for Ibushi, who then looks for Boma Ye, but Jay does his collapse gimmick to avoid it. White distracts the referee as Gedo comes in with the brass knucks, but Kota K.O.’s him with a head kick. The distraction allows Jay to hit the Sleeper Suplex, but Ibushi popped up and hit a Boma Ye to the back of White’s head as Budokan goes crazy. Red Shoes instructs Rocky Romero at the English Commentary booth to dispose of the unconscious Gedo, which he duly does, and we’re now down to just the two finalists. Kota finally hits the Boma Ye to the face, then tries Kamigoye, but again White hammers away at the ankle. Ibushi fights back, flooring Jay with two big head kicks, then tries Kamigoye, but White, the master strategist, reverses it into Blade Runner to the horror of the crowd. He’s too beat up to make the cover though, so lifts Ibsuhi up to hit the cross-arm Bloody Sunday, but Kota frees himself with a big headbutt and hits the straight jacket German, rolls through into a Kamigoye attempt, but Jay escapes by hitting two massive Sleeper Suplexes, dumping Kota right on top of his head both times. Jay hits the cross-armed Bloody Sunday, as you can hear everyone in Budokan lose their collective minds at the prospect of White being on the cusp of victory. This was such an amazing atmosphere. White goes for Blade Runner, but Ibushi escapes by hitting a standing Kamigoye, then dodges another Blade Runner attempt, and hits a jumping version. Kota holds on to the wrists and finally waffles White with Kamigoye for one of the greatest near falls you’ll ever see. Kota drops the knee pad and hits a second Kamigoye to end a phenomenal match at 31:01, vanquish the evil heel, and win the whole G1. Wow.

I absolutely loved this. It was just perfect, classic storytelling. Good overcoming evil. White cap vs. black cap. It was just one guy, who everybody wanted to win, against another who nobody wanted to win, it was simple and incredibly effective, and it lead to probably my favourite match of the entire year (it’s either this or the BOSJ Final, but they’re both completely different types of matches). Ibushi looked like the biggest star in the company here, as he becomes the first man to ever win the BOSJ, the New Japan Cup, and now the G1 Climax, and earns his shot at whomever will be IWGP Heavyweight Champion come Wrestle Kingdom. Honestly, it’s going to take some doing to surpass this tournament, and New Japan (and Gedo) surprise us once again by offering us a whole bunch of new directions and scenarios that we never knew we needed. It’s pretty damn great being a New Japan fan in 2019. Long may they reign.

This ask just gives me an excuse to write more infomation about my WIPS and AUS! All of which are open for asks, I love talking about my writing and my little gremlin OC Jay and the polycule!

Till death do us part, please keep breaking my heart ['Til it ceases to beat, please be mine.]: My hungbucks fic that is currently leaning towards more romantic hangmatt and platonic hangnick. However I am currently unsure what way it is going to go. A look at the Bucks and Hangers relationship just after Hanger wins the AEW world title and Kennny disappears. Its highly implied that Kenny had a relationship with both Hanger and the Bucks because he totally did. Can you read it? Yes the first two chapters are currently up on AO3]

Writing Requests: Yes, I take writing requests! I have one that im currently working on but my requests are open so ive any of my followers or just people who see my tumblr advertised on AO3 [I sometimes mention it in my notes] and gone "damn I wish you would write X thing" drop it into my askbox and maybe I will, I mostly unsprisingly wrie for AEW/WWE at the moment and I will not write X readers but if you ever want that, I can suggest some people who do write fantastic X reader fics! Can I read it?: Yes I also post my requests on AO3 as well as my matherlist

The ghost story would be over: Taking place during and after AEW full gear where Regal betrays the BCC. I thought about how Jay would react to it as not just only as a member of the BCC but also as a Regals grandchild. A look at how close Jay and the BCC are with added connections to the Elite. Currently its a look at Jay's found family with the BCC and romance with Wheeler as well as just as how close she is with the bucks as brothers and Kenny as his beloved. A queer look at found family and betrayal with a distinct human touch. Can I read it?: Yes, please do its my favourite thing im working on so far! The first two chapters are currently on AO3

And I'll be in denyal for just a little while [What about the plans we made?]: A fic that looks at Jays canon story. From working on NXT as a mixed tag team with adam cole, to their blossoming relationship barely hidden as fuck-buddies, to betrayal and loss. Follow Jay through her transformation from Jayden Orton, still stuck behind her cousins shadow to Jay Orton, the poly genderqueer bisexual. A journey which is incredibly always linked with one beloved baybay with blue eyes. Can I read it?: Not yet, Currently I am half way through the first chapter but I promise you can soon!

Turn you on when I need you: Adam loves Kenny. Kenny doesnt love Adam. At least, not the way Adam wants him too. hes there for a quick fuck whenever Kenny is stressed. and its not like he doesnt LIKE adam, Kenny does. He just doesnt Love him..until Adam gets another boyfriend sometime later and Kenny realises that his heart longs for the cowboy. Can I read it?: Not yet, it is currently in the stages of just being an idea. Ya know spoken about in discord messages and linked in other stories.

Have you ever questioned about what wrestlers would be like as kids? what about as stupid middle school children? high school? college?! well now you dont have to wonder. as we're writing it! [me and my big sibling @itsnoosetome] a four part series following a collection of wwe/aew wrestlers as well as like three OCs! Can I read it?: No, at the moment its' currently being writen but theres ideas and asks are always appreciated!

The soulmate actor Au A look at Jay [OC] and their boyfriends and girlfriend through the lense of them all being soulmates. None of them wrestle. Wheeler and Jay work in a theatre, Kenny is an artist, Hanger is a western actor star and Cole is an a-list trans femme superstar who the elite happen to just use to fuck.

I love the taste of his pretty red lipstick [I love the taste of his pretty red tongue] The Stripper au! Your favourite aew stars strip for a living featuring a whole load of flirting and unresolved trauma. Lots of trans characters too! becuase we cannot be stopped! Can I read it? Eventually maybe.

What baking can do The bakery au! Mostly planned. but more non-wrestling AUS. Four chapters are planned. Follow Jay [again, look he has a fun veiw of the world] through the little bakery town that all the wrestlers live in!

So Extreme Rules last night was banging, so here, have more wrestler AU head canons for Descendants. @scream-qween I dunno if any of this will help with your AU, but here’s my thoughts on wrestling AU for Descendants.

- Seriously, Uma and Harry and Uma and Gil as mixed tag partners. Unstoppable. Uma and Harry had a RIDICULOUSLY long reign as their promotions Mixed Tag champions. It was either adorable or the most nauseating thing on tv. Or both. At the same time. Wrestling fandom is notoriously fickle.

- Audrey has the best twitter game. Fandom goes from adoring her to hating her as fast as she flips from heel to face. She has plenty of practice snapping back at the fickle fanbase.

- Mal’s feud with Evie went for a while before she made her face turn. Now she’s had a variety of different feuds. Her and Uma always come back to each other though. They will feud ETERNALLY.

- Lonnie’s more popular as a face, but her time as a heel was her favourite. She’s looking for an opportunity to do a heel turn.

- Uma’s a heel in the ring, but she’s really nice to her fans and her timeline is flooded with pictures and fan art people send her. She’s also very vocal about how the promotion treats it’s women’s roster, it’s wrestlers of colour, and it’s LGBT+ wrestlers.

- Ben means well but...well, you can TELL his favourites by how often they get booked. It’s not that he doesn’t care about all his wrestlers, but everyone else kinda..slips through the cracks. This is why he keeps getting punched by his wrestlers when he shows up.

- Critics were merciless with Jane even when she was starting out on the developmental branch. They may have had a point that she was brought to the main roster too soon, but she started kicking some ass in the ring after a while.

- Jay does all these acrobatics in the ring, it’s really cool. He’s got some great aerialist moves.

- Doug’s basically Paul Heyman if Brock Lesnar was a face. He’s pretty great at getting Evie booked and getting her big money.

- CJ is a part-timer, but everyone loves her because she’s so damn entertaining. She comes out when she thinks she can make things more fun or funny for the crowd.

- When they’re not in mixed tag matches, Harry is still basically Uma’s hype man.

- Mal has a habit of turning on her partners in tag teams - she did it with Maddy, Uma, Evie, Audrey, Jane, and Ginny. For a while she was THE most hated person in the locker room.

- The longest reigning women’s champion is constantly changing between Mal, Uma, Evie, and Lonnie. They keep breaking each other’s records.

- Yes, Uma, Harry and Gil have pirate gimmicks. Hush.

- Freddie’s finisher is quietly the most devastating. Her ‘friends from the other side’ wreak people’s fears at them. It’s intense to experience and unsettling to watch.

- Mal, Jay, and Chad have caused the most legit injuries. They’re not doing it on purpose, but fans have noticed.

- Isle wrestling is like...no disqualifications, no holds barred, last man standing, falls count anywhere, ALL THE TIME. Yeah, people got hurt way more often and way worse than in Auradon. The cut from bet money was one of the only ways they could get money though, quickly and reliably, so the kids stayed wrestling. Whether they wanted to or not in some cases.

- Carlos is the most inventive - never ever bring a steel chair or kendo stick or anything like that into the ring with him. You’ll be sorry.

Casting my WIP: “Blade of Penance Volume I: Bore of Great Sacrifice”

Haven’t posted anything in a while thought I would put up a fun game for us aspiring authors out there. My first draft nears completion. Just a the final fight, “mop-up” and a couple appendices to write. Hoping to be done this week while I am on vacation. *fingers crossed*

Anyway, I saw a YouTube video posted by an authortuber I follow named Kim Chance where she went through the dream casting of her newest book Seeker (soon to be released here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5Rmhm8HhE8). I was thinking while I was running some errands earlier today I should do something similar. If my novel(s) ever get made into a movie whom would I cast as each character? So I decided to post that here and see what other authors/aspiring authors would cast as their characters. Name the character, a brief description of them, then the actor/actress and why you would cast them.

Here are the rules: #1) You have to use the actors/actresses as they are TODAY. No using “Early 80′s Arnold” or Clint Eastwood like he was when he played Dirty Harry. It also goes without saying you can’t use actors that have retired from acting or passed away. #2) If there is a seminal movie/tv show in your genre you cannot use actors from that franchise. Since this rule can really make things difficult you can use up to TWO exceptions to rule #2. Since my WIP is epic fantasy both actors from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies and Game of Thrones are disqualified.

The father of my hero Kaaldor. A former general and hero of the Battle of Gos. The last scion of the House of Dranus who’s progenitor alongside Ka’Reyus The Elven Warrior King lead the Great Liberation against the Dragon Rule of Rab Yangin 500 years ago. Few either human or elf could match his skill with the blade save maybe one.

At first I thought of The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. I even used his physique as a bit of a template when I was doing up his character model. However in the end I thought he should be cast a bit younger (Don’t hit me with the People’s Elbow Rock.)

Therefore I will use one of my exceptions early and go with Aquaman, aka Kahl Drogo, Mr. Jason Mamoa.

Ka’Reyus:

The Elven Warrior King and Grandfather to my hero. Unquestionably the greatest warrior alive. Has gone unmatched in swordsmanship for over 500 years. Single headedly fought and slew three dragons at once. Him and Dranus (Dorath’s ancestor) tag-teamed to slay the corrupted dragon lord Rab Yangin to free the continent of Kalis from drake rule. Is Dorath his equal as a warrior??? SPOILERS :)

For him I batted around a few choices including Liam Neeson and Russel Crowe of course cgi would have to be used to size them down because as an elf Ka’Reyus was only 5 feet tall.

I finally decided on Wolverine himself (aka Jean ValJean, aka PT Barnum) Hugh Jackman.

(Yes this is an older pic... but I wanted one of him as Wolverine :) )

Princess Almelphia:

Mother of Kaaldor. Only child of Ka’Reyus. The unchallenged beauty of Elvendom. All the nobility compete for her attention not only for her beauty but that whomever she chose as her husband would be the likely successor to the elven throne. She is also is the only member of the royal house with any magical ability, even though it is just limited to reading the memories left behind on things/people that she touches. While my hero was growing up she always called him her “little champion” and he did everything he could to live up to that title.

She was a tough choice. If I wanted to use my second exception I would have chosen The Khalessi herself Emilia Clarke but considering Jason Mamoa is Dorath… that may be a little much. I also considered Miranda Otto (aka Eowyn) but again didn’t want to use my second exception. Therefore I decided to go with Jenna Coleman aka Clara Oswald from Dr. Who, and Queen Victoria on Victoria.

Here she is from the “Robin Hood Episode” of Dr. Who so you could see how she would look in a fantasy setting.

Ka’Vatch:

Lifelong friend of Ka’Reyus and Elvul Ka’s(the elven nation’s) foremost smith. Him and Ka’Reyus both learned their weaponry by working his father’s forge. Growing up Kaaldor learned from Ka’Vatch at the same forge. To be a great warrior you must both know your weapons and then know yourself. The weapons part started with Ka’Vatch after an 8 year old Kaaldor hid in his smith from bullies that didn’t like that he was half human.

For him I thought about Michael Ironside. Granted you usually see him as a bad guy (and he plays a great villain, especially with his voice work... if they ever do a live action version of Darkseid they should have him reprise the role from his voice work on Superman: TAS etc). However age is a factor. Therefor I chose Josh Brolin aka Thanos… aka Cable.

Ka’Draoi: (pronounced Ka’ DREE, gotta love Gaelic)

Grand Thaumaturge of Elvul Ka’ and one of the world’s most powerful wizards. He draws his power from the Blue Flame like all elves and fought along side Ka’Reyus and Dranus in The Great Liberation. Being such a long time friend of the king he can often get away with breaches of proper decorum and has been known to have a bit of a ...shall we say “unique” sense of humour.

My original choice for this role was of course Sean Connery... but he has been retired from acting for some time. I thought about Terrance Stamp (aka General Zod from Superman II, my all time favourite movie villain) but decided against it. I didn’t want to use another exception or to be seen as him being a Gandalf clone so no Sir Ian McKellan.

In the end I chose another James Bond Pierce Brosnan, he can command the regal presence and wisdom Ka’Draoi needs, plus have the comic timing to pull off the sense of humour needed.

Ok. That covers Kaaldor’s family and the elves. Now lets move on to some more human characters.

Admiral Jagaran:

He is the Admiral of the Palan fleet (the main villain nation of the story) and in command of its new flagship The Jorgmundr (a ship completely made of dragonbone). He is a very skilled warrior, especially at see and a cunning strategist. He always takes the most straightforward path to victory whether it is an honourable choice or not. However he has been known to let his ego get the better of him.

My first choice was Peter Wingfield. Highlander fans will recognise him as Methos from the 90′s Highlander TV series. (As a point of trivia I watched some of Methos’ sword fights on the series to map out some of this character’s move sets). However he has apparently retired from acting and at last report was pursuing a career in medicine.

So instead I went with Rome’s Ray Stevenson, he has been in many other things but I mostly know him as Titus Pullo on Rome, Volstagg from the MCU and as Frank Castle in Punisher: War Zone (I should dust that one off I haven’t watched it in a while)

Anonyus:

The Mage assigned to the Jorgmundr. Although he technically outranks Jagaran as he is a mage his role on the ship is similar to that of a “political officer” on the old Soviet ships. He is your classic sadist that makes King Joffrey and Reese Bolton look like boy scouts. He prefers to invoke fear in his adversaries of what he may do than to actually inflict the pain.

For him I went back to the MCU and chose Tom Hiddleston, aka Loki. I just love him as a villain.

(Point of trivia... he originally auditioned for the part of Thor... go fig because he was so good as Loki.)

Armorton:

The chief slave-driver on The Jorgmundr, and a sadist son of a... gun (trying to keep this PG) in his own right. He takes perverse pleasure in publicly and brutally executing slaves that can no longer work in the bowels of the ship... or just make an example of. As he is more a hand to hand brute than a swordsman I went with a wrestler/actor for him. Dave Bautista from Guardians of the Galaxy (gee I am pulling a lot from the MCU) and Spectre, also a former WWE Champion.

Ok... let’s get away from the villains for a bit.

Dex:

The classic dashing rogue. Thinks he is “the pyres” gift to women and even names his lockpicks after his conquests. Never met a maiden he didn’t want to hit on. Or a full coin-purse he didn’t want to cut. Always ready with a witty retort but also willing to help when he sees something unjust. Kaaldor sometimes sees him as his best friend... and other times wants to punch him. But they somehow make it work as they defend the village of Belieret from the warlord Tyv.

This character needs the comic timing that only Ryan Reynolds can provide. I have been a fan of his since he was in Blade: Trinity (not as bad as everybody says) and he was dead on casting as Deadpool.

Klok:

A Baegian merchant that is one of the few in Belieret willing to learn how to fight to protect his new home. His own brother betrayed him when the Baegian King became a vassal for Q’Rab The Sorcerer King of Palis and Klok began to speak ill of the new regime. He couldn’t let hit happen again with Tyv.

I have chosen a bit of an odd choice. A TV actor named Alimi Ballard. He has been on many TV shows but I mostly remember him as David Sinclair on Numb3rs.

Ok lets do some more villains then we will go for the Hero and Heroine.

Tyv:

The warlord that is pulling the old extortion racket on the village of Belieret. He blames Ka’Reyus for ***SPOILERS***. Little do the villagers know he is just a cog in the machinery of one of Q’Rab’s plans. In the meantime he plans to take his revenge on Ka’Reyus by sending him Kaaldor’s head.

For this I am going cast Clancy Brown, mostly because he played my #2 all time favourite movie villain The Kurgan in Highlander. You would also recognise him from The Shawshank Redemption and Starship Troopers. He as also done a lot of voice work, including Lex Luthor for Superman: TAS, Savage Oppress on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants (lol).

Hespera:

Apprentice to the Sorcerer Q’Rab and Master/Mistress to Anonyus. She suffers no failure and many of her apprentices have felt her wrath. None have lived to tell the tale. Her vanity is her weakness and although devoted to Q’Rab for centuries she has been known to have her own machinations to undermine his plans. You only briefly see her in the first book... but I plan to have her take a much larger role in book 2.

For her... if she is willing to be a redhead my first choice is Wonder Woman herself Gal Gadot. She can be both regal, the flirt to ensnare men but then switch gears to be something menacing all at once.

(come on I had to choose a Wonder Woman pic... all the world is waiting for you... and the powers you possess :) )

Q’Rab:

Sorcerer King of Palis and has ruled for over 200 years. He draws his power from the Black Flame and rarely gets his hands dirty himself but is always a Master of Puppets pulling strings from afar. All under his rule are fanatically devoted to him. Whenever he is mentioned they finish the sentence with “May his reign be eternal”. It has yet to be determined who is the more powerful wizard if him and Ka’Draoi were to meet in a duel, and the true goal of his plans while he is at war with the nation of Corlot are ****SPOILERS****. His origins are ***SPOILERS***.

For him I went with a bit of an odd choice, I needed a classical type of actor but one that wasn’t your standard English baddie. I went with Alexander Siddig. While best known as Dr. Bashir on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, he also has a long movie and TV career including 24, Gotham on the small screen and Kingdom of Heaven and The Nativity Story on the big screen. If he can pull off both The Angel Gabriel and Ra’s Al Ghul he can pull of Q’Rab. (Note: As he was also Doran Tyrell on Game of Thrones... he is my second exception)

Ok... you are saying enough with the villains. Fine lets get to the main event. My hero and heroine. First the Heroine:

Renna:

Daughter of the captain of The Divine Lady, the ship that Kaaldor is a passenger on when The Jorgmundr strikes. While able to fight for herself knows when she is out of her depth and instead fits into the facilitator role to get Kaaldor what he needs to win. She can also act as the diplomat to Kaaldor’s brute force as she knows not every problem can best be solved by the right amount of smashing. She is not the damsel in distress like Lois Lane that always needs a Superman to rescue her, but she also knows she doesn’t have to be Xena to be strong either.

This one was a hard choice... The aforementioned Jenna Coleman was a strong contender at one point. I also considered Rosa Salazar (loved her in Alita Battle Angel) however in the end (maybe because I just did a binge watch of Cobra Kai over the Labour Day Weekend) I chose Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso on Cobra Kai). Her look is the right combo of innocence, beauty and strength which is what you need to play Renna.

Finally.

Kaaldor:

The hero of the story. Half-elf and half human. Trained by his grandfather since he was eight years old to be a warrior without equal. He was even able to fight Ka’Reyus to a draw. Though of the elvish royal family very few fully accept him as part of elvish society. He can never let an injustice stand and sometimes gets himself deep in a bad situation by acting without thinking. But still is the one willing to act when others are too scared to. In the end he must complete his quest to ***SPOILERS***

For him I originally thought of Daniel Cudmore, I best remember him as Colossus in X-Men 2 and X-Men 3 (boy did three SUCK). However in the end thought a Hemsworth was a better fit. Not Chris (Thor)… but Liam (Expendables 2, The Hunger Games). (Note: He will probably have to bulk up a bit as when I wrote the character I was thinking “Early 80′s Arnold”)

Thought I'd put together a tournament of some of my favourite Evil Uno matches. The first round is broken up into 4 parts:

AEW: AEW is easily the promotion he is most known for, and I feel like him against Bryan Danielson and him against Miro are two of his biggest matches of his time so far. Both matches he came in as an underdog, which is the role I really enjoy watching him play. Many people make comparisons about him to Mick Foley, which I absolutely agree with in the way that neither have the typical body type for a wrestler, but both are insanely likeable and can do things that you wouldn't expect them to be able to do, which you really get to see in both matches.

PWG: I'd put PWG and Chikara in the same category as the two other promotions that he is most known for outside AEW. Both of his matches from Mystery Vortex 7 and Threemendous III are both really loved by those that have seen them. As much as I really enjoy watching Uno play the underdog, he can play such a wonderful heel, his match against Orange Cassidy really proved that. While Threemendous III is such a creative tag team match which is well-loved, it's such a wonderful match.

CHIKARA: Like I've said, Chikara is another promotion he is well known for. Player Uno is often known for his funny moments like having a video control pad on his tights which people used to pause, but he also had some really wonderful matches. Him and Dos (Stu Grayson) against Incoherence is where they became CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas in a two out of three falls match, sure their reign didn't last for too long, unfortunately but this match is really enjoyable. Whereas after losing to Dos in the first round of the Young Lions Cup, their second match for that said cup is such an emotional match where you can see how Uno and Stu are not just wonderful tag team partners but also have amazing chemistry against each other.

Miscellaneous: This is just a category where the matches weren't in any of those three promotions, but I wanted to still include them. Him vs. Jacob Fatu is the most recent match on this list from Prestige Wrestling which was such a hard hitting match that sure, didn't have a proper ending/ended in DQ but the brawl on the outside sure made up for it, in my opinion. Whereas Player Uno vs. El Generico from Interspecies Wrestling is obviously an older match that while I wasn't a fan of the commentary, the match itself is absolutely brilliant.

WWE NXT Takeover Toronto 2019 – Preview & Predictions

Adam Cole (c) vs Johnny Gargano – NXT Championship 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match

The third big match of their rivalry takes place tonight, and truthfully mostly everything has already been said about both guys. The extra touches to this feud recently have been some great video packages put together by the NXT team, the Cole celebration tour video visiting Gargano’s father as well as his gym, and this weeks hype video were both awesome in adding the extra touches to make this feel different to the other matches.

Now the added difference here with the 2 out of 3 falls stipulation is both guys getting to select their own stip to one of the falls, and NXT GM William Regal adding one for the 3rd fall if needed. A straight one on one match as well as a street fight have already been chosen by the competitors, but come on this is blatantly going 3 falls so all comes down to Regals choice. The smirk/grin that Regal gave during this weeks show when talking about it had got me thinking one of two things, either we go completely comedic to confuse everyone and Regal names the 3rd fall as musical chairs. Or, they go 1-1 and both guys are yelling at Regal to make a bigger stip like a first blood match for example, Regal must beat it and announces, ‘loser leaves NXT’. The crowd will pop in confusement and shock and both wrestlers will love the chance to vanquish the other, then we can have them regret the decision very quickly after allowing some interesting promos after by Regal in regretting the decision but HAVING to go big. Maybe just a cage match with weapons....

I don’t see the result here going any other way than Cole walking out as champion as I need Gargano to be out of the title picture as he has bored me a fair bit lately, out of NXT or not I just need him doing something fresh for awhile – COLE

Shayna Baszler (c) vs Mia Yim – NXT Women’s Championship Match

Ive been saying it for months but is this actually the time to take the title away from Shayna and close out her second title reign? The women’s division does need a change as she’s mowed threw most of the women she’s faced, but, I don’t really rate Yim that highly.

After Mia came in I said to friends that I don’t rate her but gave her time to show me more in her NXT run, but she really hasn’t done too much to impress me sadly. The story is there for her, the video package was great, but her in-ring isn’t my favourite (not saying she’s awful in the slightest) and calling herself the HBIC is dreadful. If you’re outside of the WWE and a heel then great the Head Bitch In Charge is a decent gimmick to sell shirts from, but in the WWE the Head Baddie In Charge (or Blasian) just sounds stupid especially as she’s a face lol

But as I mentioned I still think they have her take the strap, more on Shayna later, then we move to Io moving into the title scene and quickly taking the belt herself – YIM

Pete Dunne vs The Velveteen Dream (c) vs Roderick Strong – NXT North American Triple Threat Match

This match should be great, all talented guys that will be around for years growing and growing, and for this match I see Roddy being the guy to shine. He’s been such a monster in the ring for quite awhile now and goes so far under the radar its unbelievable, if the guy was a foot taller he’d be in main events on Raw or Smackdown destroying people.

I did originally want a longer Dream title reign but to be honest he’s a character that really doesn’t always need a title to defined him and his character, so its not a big loss if he does indeed lose. And we don’t really know about Dunne and if he’s over in NXT for awhile or just a one off, I lean to him being around for longer and being the next challenger for this title but really he should be on Smackdown making an impact right now for me – STRONG

The Street Profits (c) vs The Undisputed Era – NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Another match I sadly see as being pretty easy to predict, with the Profits being on Raw weekly they really are just counting down the days with NXT until the move is a full one, and the final chapter they need to close is that of having the tag titles. But the main thing here is that they NEED to have a top notch quality match tonight to see them make the move more smoothly, if they stink up the joint they may see their NXT stay extended (they wont, don’t worry).

Will be nice to see them make the jump to Raw but really are a team that needs more seasoning for another year as the top guys in the division, as they really haven’t had a long run on tv compared to others as they seem to have been slightly streaky in their appearances for awhile. Plus, I think the company is missing a trick by not having them both make the jump with Bianca Belair at their side, all three as equals making an impact all motivating each other to success, would be a super positive stable.

Sadly the Undisputed Era don’t seem to be close to getting called so while in NXT I need them all in main events as much as possible, I don’t think they fully know what they have with the group until they don’t have them. These guys are vital in getting newer wrestlers tv ready as well as giving them vital in-ring experience working with great wrestlers. Plus the key thing for me is that if you hadn’t noticed this show will finish with ALL of the Undisputed Era holding gold to close the show…… - UE

Candice LaRea vs Io Shirai

A second women’s match on a Takeover, at last, this match should be really fast paced and passionate with both women being great. Io’s new heel character is undoubtedly awesome and if your more than just a WWE viewer you’ve most likely seen her before and know the damage she can produce. And isn’t it nice that Candice finally is getting the chance and a bigger spotlight to shine her-self, as she really hasn’t had the focus she deserves since joining the company (Hi Keith!)

A one-sided match this should become but that doesn’t mean it wont be fun along the way, Io takes the win and moves higher up the card. Man, how much better and more passionate though would this have been if Kairi hadn’t have been called up and Io had turned on her? – SHIRAI

This should, as usual, be a really fun NXT Takeover, albeit a heel heavy winners side.

I have a feeling there may be afew callups in the near future and some of the results tonight may make it clearer as to who will be gone soon or who will be wound down slightly over the next month before leaving. Dream/Profits/Shayna are the main people im thinking about and the ones to keep an eye on, I expect the Profits to take a round of applause after their bout similar to Ricochet and Black did previously.

As well as the matches announced I think they may still do something with Riddle/Dain after them not having their match on this weeks tv, maybe a quick match or another big angle to setup something for tv perhaps?

The depth they have currently is massive when you cant guarantee a Matt Riddle match, let alone having Keith Lee under contract and not really doing anything solid with him in a year, or Kushida who hasn’t been a focus the past few weeks after being focused on pretty heavy since his debut.

And to lead on from that Im not sure we really need more guys coming BACK to NXT from the main roster, Breeze/Dango/Crews and potentially more. While it does give them the chance to alter their gimmicks and regain some confidence from how they’ve been handled the past few years on the main roster, they really just are taking tv time from others that need it more. The problem we have is that the company aren’t releasing people anymore with AEW as competition so many guys are just backstage during Raw watching the show or eating in catering, at least the guys mentioned are guys that have requested to move down to help theirselves better what they do, but at the same time they’ve had the opportunity and haven’t been able to cling to it while others are desperate for that same opportunity. But hey, this is a topic we could talk on A LOT more another time.

Enjoy the show folks and keep your eyes peeled, I smell a breakout guys invasion with Stokely looking for someone to manage.
