Custom record player table and record collection storage I made in 2021. I don’t have this anymore but I want to remake something similar eventually.
I made this original one at the Melbourne Makerspace in Florida.

Does anyone have an Original Album Series CD set? They're a collection of 3-5 albums from an artist that come in a box the size of a jewel case and the CDs are in paper sleeves. How is the sound quality and mastering of the albums? Just like the normal album releases?
I like the idea of saving space and little album sleeves for CD, but I'm not going to waste my time with inferior quality sound.

Spotify has a ton of music, but it really falls short when it comes to industrial and remixes. A lot of industrial artists were on obscure/tiny labels and Spotify never bothered trying to get the rights to stream them because it's a niche genre. Remixes were often on soundtracks, which had complicated usage rights, which they don't really bother with because it's not worth the hassle. Outside of soundtracks, remixes were typically used as b-sides or extras for singles outside of the US, with each country getting a different remix. Those singles often aren't collected or uploaded to Spotify, which focuses more on full albums and digital singles. If the remix doesn't show up on an expanded edition, dedicated remix album, or the artist took the time to compile and upload singles as EPs, you generally can't get it on Spotify. Which is all to say that Spotify has an incredible selection of music, but only if it's handled by a major label (or their subsidiaries). I've long been planning to start buying more classic industrial albums for my music collection (my dream is to own the entire WAX TRAX! catalog at some point), but now I think I need to add soundtracks & singles from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s to the list. I hadn't really bought much music the last five or so years because Spotify made it so easy to listen to stuff (and I was focusing on other collections), but now that I'm getting back into the stuff I was listening to as a teen/young adult, I suppose I have a reason to start buying physical music again. And Spotify's shortcomings give me a solid starting point.

Because polls get the most engagement I’m making a poll lol
(For the sake of this poll: a collector is anyone who *currently has* a collection of things either physically or digitally that they intentionally acquired which can be grouped together)
Please please please please pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase tell me what you collect and optionally why!!!! (This is doubly true if your collection is related to a regulatory/“special” interest!!!!!!! That’s honestly the only reason I’m making this poll, I am begging youuuuuuuuuuu
Neurodivergent related tags are for reach as I know a lot of neurodiverse people are collectors. I do try my best not to clutter those tags, if anyone has an issue with it please tell me and I’ll remove them

Just another Neuroactive single XD
Quite the catch. Mint, in wrapped, 1999 single release. Just 8 euros, plus shipping.
Bit of a time capsule this one. Visualise song appeared on the 1999 album Fiber-Optic Rhythm. It featured vocals from Geoff Pinckney, from The Nine. They were label mates. The Nine band isn't active anymore. Geoff Pinckney is nowadays part of the band Tenek, who do old school British sounding synthpop.
Single features Sub System and Fragile mixes from Neuroactive. The Visionary remix is from The Nine, Count to Infinity remix from Count to Infinity (another label mate) and Hardbeat remix is from [Active] Media Disease (Finnish band from the era). Also features Gradient mix of Inside Your World by Neuroactive.
Most interesting addition is song Sanctuary from The Nine, the original version. Extented version appeared on their 2001 album Dreamland.
Not the most interesting purchase ever, but still nice addition. That leaves few singles and an EP.

G̴̩͍͆͆̈́e̵̹̣͆t̷̬̋ ̸̻̮̎̒ĭ̸̏̃n̵͙̋͐ ̸̛̳̃t̶̪̣̅ḣ̸̳̇͜è̵̠̲͖̔̑ ̶̢̹̖͗͐̀Wa̵̬̞͝ṫ̴̩̣̣e̶͉̲̯͂̏̎r̴̉
It was a simple mission. Damian was working with Father to confirm the existence of a Lazarus Pit below Gotham, as Ra's Al Ghul speculated. And they had found it, deep in the caves below Gotham. A Pit the size of an Olympic sized swimming pool, bubbling and steaming. He'd only looked away for a moment.
"Kin-slayer."
Standing waist deep in the water stood Damian's reflection. The hair might be white, and the eyes glowing with the waters, but it was his face. But not his face alone.
Danyal's ghost glared at him. "Get in the water."
Father threw a batarang at him, but the metal flew straight through his head like it was air. Danyal didn't even glance at him, his eyes fixed on Damian. "Get in the water," he ordered again. He stepped closer to the shore and the green water sloshed up the bank higher than it was before. "Or I'll raise the tide so high, all of Gotham will die. So get in the water."
Damian's heart jumped into throat. "Wait-"
"Get in the water."
Father shoved Damian behind him, as if it would protect him, as if he could stop Danyal. "Stop this, please-" If he could just explain-
Another step and the waters surged forward, nearly touching Father's boots. "I'll make whirlpools so profound, your entire family will drown," he promised.
"NO!" Not his brother, his kind brother-
"THEN GET IN THE WATER!" Danyal snarled, revealing monstrously sharp teeth and a black tongue from Damian's poison. "G̴̩͍͆͆̈́e̵̹̣͆t̷̬̋ ̸̻̮̎̒ĭ̸̟̰͙̏̃n̵͙̝̟̋͐ ̸̛̳̃t̶̪̣̅ḣ̸̳̇͜è̵̠̲͖̔̑ ̶̢̹̖͗͐̀w̵̜͍̤̌a̵̬̞͝ṫ̴̩̣̣e̶͉̲̯͂̏̎r̴̉͜!̷̡͔́̀̽" He lunged and Father pushed them back down the passage they'd come. "Don't mistake this for a bluff, brother. You've lived more than enough. Just get in the water." Damian swallowed, throat dry. Was this Danyal's revenge? Did he finally have to face what he had done?
"Robin, who is this?" Father snapped, trying to keep retreating down the cave. But Damian wouldn't let him; the waters, and Danyal with them, would only follow.
Danyal looked between them, scowling. "G̴̩͍͆͆̈́e̵̹̣͆t̷̬̋ ̸̻̮̎̒ĭ̸̟̰͙̏̃n̵͙̝̟̋͐ ̸̛̳̃t̶̪̣̅ḣ̸̳̇͜è̵̠̲͖̔̑ ̶̢̹̖͗͐̀w̵̜͍̤̌a̵̬̞͝ṫ̴̩̣̣e̶͉̲̯͂̏̎r̴̉͜!̷̡͔́̀̽" he snapped again. "I'll take your father and gouge out his eyes, unless you want to stop being a coward and choose to die. Now... get in the water."
