Every US Memorial Day weekend dad and I would watch “The Longest Day”. He’d settle in with Seagram’s in his “Jim’s Private Bar” glass (pictured) and away we went. Dad’s been gone a long time, but I keep the tradition alive (though with slightly better hooch).

I’m Sybil, 17 years old. I fall into the alternative vibe, and love it haha. I’m super excited to make new friends. Life’s pretty hectic, but I always find time for good convos with cool people.

Hobbies & Interests: I’m kinda off and on with reading, but I’m getting back into it. I love fantasy, romance, horror, and especially fantasy romance. Right now, I’m obsessed with The Girls Next Door, but I’m more of a YouTube girly. I don’t have any hardcore hobbies yet, but I’m looking to try sewing and want to read a lot more.

Faves: My favorite movies are Juno, Brave, and 10 Things I Hate About You. Music-wise, I’m into chill, pure vibes. Everlong by the Foo Fighters, Love Me by Elvis Presley, and Bad Religion by Frank Ocean are my top picks.

Travel & Cooking: New York City is the best place I’ve visited so far, and I’m dying to go to Thailand someday. Cooking seems fun, but since I’m not in charge of family dinners, I just experiment when I can.

Life Goals: I’m about to start my senior year in high school, which is both exciting and kinda stressful. My dream is to find peace, fall in love with someone who loves me back, and maybe live on a farm with a bunch of animals, working a job I actually like.

Favorite Time of Year: I absolutely love Christmas. It’s so cozy and makes me feel like a kid again.

I’m not much of a talker unless it’s a genuine conversation. If you’re into deep chats, sharing stories, and just vibing, hit me up! I promise to write back and can’t wait to get to know you.

Currently just finished Court of Thorn and Roses and now I'm reading Kingdom of the Wicked. I liked a Court of Thorn and Roses it definitely got me into fantasy I love the world building and details haha lmao

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways

was relistening to dear evan hansen (god, i know) and now i can't stop thinking about johnny dying, and simon taking johnny's tags to his girl. simon sticks around to take care of her, cos maybe johnny asked her to or whatever, and simon falls in love. starts saying, "oh, i don't wanna go anywhere. johnny'd be happy to know you're bein taken care of. my girl now, yeah?" and UGH just manipulating her.

ok wait but i bring you: johnny is in a coma and ghost sees the perfect opportunity. he offers to tell johnny's girl about the injury, and price is more than willing to pass that responsibility off. except instead of telling her that her husband is alive, he tells her he was killed and that he's very sorry for her loss. it's entirely too easy to make himself the new center of her world when she's so so vulnerable without their johnny :(

anyways johnny is of course going to wake up eventually and ghost either (a) tells the worst lie ever and pretends he was told johnny was dead and that PRICE is the bad guy here or (b) lets you figure out what really happened and just refuses to leave no matter how angry you get

(thinking about you bringing johnny home, and even though he's awake he's still mostly bed bound. and now that you know how terribly you've been manipulated, you're so so angry at ghost :( but he refuses to leave and he's really a ton of help with johnny (you can't hold that large of a man up on your own, but ghost easily can). he's real condescending and dismissive about how angry you are, doesn't see why you're fussing so much when you've got both of your men here safe)

((you fall asleep in the chair in yours and johnny's room one night and wake up in the bed with him, a blanket thrown over you and ghost sound asleep in the chair. you check on johnny another night and find him sprawled across ghost's chest, drooling on his shirt with ghost rubbing his back. you think you leave before ghost sees you (you don't). it's those moments that start you on the long long path to forgiving him)
