dev's february recap
i took a break for first half of last month from updating, the holidays had taken a lot out of me. as they did with everyone. but it's been a pretty busy jan / feb for me regardless. so i'm gonna try something new! at the end of each month, i'll recap chapter additions, a total wordcount, and some of the fics i enjoyed. it'll be more for myself to track progress as the year goes on and gauge productivity. i blame intense anxiety on this little experiment (oh and also procrastination for classwork) ♡

taking a page out of chayscribbles book for this!
goals accomplished this month:
began preliminary edits on order of the ice and sent it out to beta readers! i'm still looking for beta readers, so if you're interested, read this post here!
chose and prepped my camp nano project!
edited the flame at the end of the world, but the thing is so damn long and in need of so much work that i got tired and took a break. i'm on page 164/350, and am almost done editing part one of the book, the hardest one. i'll return to it when i have the energy!

there's been 15k of preliminary drafting my camp nano wip and about 15k of fanfiction written this month
goals for next month:
camp nano. my project, rapture & requiem, (working title) is prepped and ready to go, and my preliminary exploratory drafting has gone swimmingly! my goal is to get a coherent and complete first draft together by the end of april. going for my usual loose goal of 2k a day, but i'm not gonna be mad if i miss that some days.
goals for the year:
get the flame at the end of the world fully edited
get order of the ice published before the end of the year
finish at least three books, preferably more like five

Wolves Den UPDATE - March 2024

Current Word Count: ~350
Parts Finished: 0/4
Hello!! This is the first monthly update for my story Wolves Den. I’ve been a bit distracted in terms of actually working on the written portion of the story itself, but I have nearly the entire thing planned out already. I don’t quite have a set chapter count, instead I have the story split up into four major parts.
I hope to come out with a reference sheet for the main cast, which will mainly consist of full-body illustrations and a relationship chart. There are other drawings I would like to make, but I’ll save those for another time—I still haven’t quite learned how to draw my own OCs that well…
I’ve been very happy to see the positive reception to everything so far!! I hope to come out with some fun stuff for y’all soon!

hihi! I've become a huge fan of weeping rosemary, and would like to ask when you're releasing the full game! Aside from that, the game is beautiful and so interesting to me. It reminds me of a few other little rpgmaker games I've played, and it feels really polished and complete! Even if it's just a demo! The ending gave me chills, and I can't wait to find out more! I'll do my best to try supporting your project in the future when I have the financing to do so :)

I'm so happy that you feel that way about Weeping Rosemary, to see it reminds you of others is such an honor, since the demo was my first time making a game!
As for the release date of the full game!! I am still unsure, but I am going to estimate that it will probably be sometime next year!
Because the demo was very rushed, and now that I'm graduated from uni, I want to take this chance to really flesh out and give the game the detail I feel it deserves, so if life doesn't throw out any curveballs - I would ideally like for the game to be released in May, as a way to celebrate the demo, but it all depends on what happens, since I am working on this game by myself!
Until then, I will try and keep everyone updated on progress & everything! Thank you so much!!

Anyway, I've been sitting on "The Five Times Queen Hippolyta Had Her Heart Broken (and the one time she didn't)" for about 2.5 years and 2024 seems like as good time as any to finally release it!

March Update Time! A little late because I forgot!
OOF okay so after February I needed a little recover time, but I did get some stuff done!
Got Shadowcast over 40k (my goal is 65k but I will probably smash that)
edited the first three chapters of Summoning Trouble
started patch edits for Strange Paths (I have to add in a whole new character, I'm about five chapters in)
did some art! Vaguely writing related but got more comfortable with sketching again
started streaming on Twitch again! Also not writing related but an audience is an audience probably (I stream stardew valley once or twice a week)
My goals for April are to finish drafting Shadowcast and finish those patch edits for Strange Paths so I can start line edits! I'm also hoping to edit a few more chapters of Summoning Trouble but that's kind of a side project at the moment.
My ultimate goal is to have Strange Paths totally done and submitted before June.
If I get Shadowcast done in a timely manner I want to go back to Ghost Punch 5: Thanks for the Memories! It needs a few patch edits for what I have written (I decided to go in a slightly different direction) but it's not too bad and I'm excited to move forward with the draft. I'm starting to miss my kids

an....okay start to the year! i once again did NOT finish rewriting my ya sci-fi book which i am...not thrilled about, although i am really trying to be gentle with myself (but i've been rewriting it for like 10 months now and i'm TIREDDDD). however, i am really getting into the last arc of it now so *sweats* just hoping i don't monumentally fuck it up ahahaha.
i also did work a liiiiittle on my query package in anticipation of querying....eventually... my plans to chaotically send out a single query by end of january did not come to fruition. buuuut maybe in february? we'll see lol. i figure it at least helps to have a query + synopsis handy for when i AM ready!
i didn't do a ton of work on fic, but i did at least get through maybe half of my initial round of edits on sylvix dreamscape ch 10! hoping i can finish up edits on that this month and hand it off to betas. i also dusted off my matchablossom bedsharing fic and worked a bit on that (thanks to the announcement of the teen matchablossom OVA which inspired me to write about them again lol). aaaand i worked on sylvix pacrim au like once which is better than nothing!!
i say it every goddam month but...maybe i will finally finish my book rewrites this month? *holding back my tears* if so i might take a lil break before line edits and actually have time to work on fic and/or on other original projects i've been neglecting, but if so it probably won't be til the very end of the month. SIIIIGH.
anyway, manifesting a productive month!!! 🙏✨
