I FINISHED ALL MY ARCs!!!

I'm super proud of myself for getting through my ARCs this month. Totally doesn't matter that I had to DNF a handful of them; the point is that I GOT to them all and didn't panic.

This month felt like it lasted at least three months, so of course I had time to read 75 books. Please don't ask me how I do it because I honestly don't have an answer for you.

Highlights of the month you won't see here:

🩶The Kitsune Chronicles series by Lissa Kasey: I loved this interesting LGBTQ PNR with a fated mate pairing between an alpha wolf shifter and an omega kitsune mage. 🩶The Reckless Damned series by Lark Taylor: I got the first book in this series on a stuff-your-kindle day and when I read it I immediately plowed through the rest. 🩶Bye Baby (Flowershop Assassins, Book 1) by Louise Collins: This hit my rom com, cat-and-mouse button so hard. 🩶Rent: Paid in Full (Bad Decisions, Book 1) by Jesse H Reign: This was LGBTQ romance crack and I'm obsessed. 🩶Lust (Seven Deadly Sins, Book 1) by Sienna Moreau: Great world building, sexy af, interesting story! 🩶Knot Again by Lucy Scott Bryan: Triplet mates. Intense, HOT triplet mates. Yum. 🩶Accidental Bonds (Elemental Bonds, Book 1) by Marie Reynard: Spectacular LGBTQ PNR. I stayed up until 3:30 am reading this thing because I was so invested. It's a slow burn but the chemistry is so good. Great story!

❗️ FortPeat (Love in the Air) were announced as the leads for MeMindY's upcoming BL Love Sea. The drama will air in 2024.

❗️ BossNoeul (Love in the Air) were announced as the leads for MeMindY's upcoming BL The Boy Next World. The drama is considered a TharnType-spinoff surrounding Phugun & Cirrus and will air in 2024.

❗️ Dear Kitakyushu was announced as the first Thai-Japanese crossover BL movie. Mark Siwat and Uemura Souta will star as the leads; shooting has already begun. The film will air in 2024.

❗️ After rumors spread about an upcoming Thai adaption of the Korean BL Semantic Error, the author of the original novel came forward and negated the rumor.

❗️ The author of the adapted BL novels Triage and Manner Of Death announced that her novel Euthanasia will be adapted soon. It tells the story of a doctor who advocates euthanasia and becomes a suspect when mysterious deaths occur. One of the victims is the mother of an inspector who was battling cancer.

❗️ The first part of the GMMTV2024 lineup event was held on October 17th. The following BLs were announced:

-> After initial confusions, GMMTV confirmed Kidnap to be a BL as well. The show stars Ohm Pawat and newbie actor Leng Thanaphon. This announcement however caused fans associated with the OhmNanon ship to protest publicly in the form of multiple LED ads across Bangkok, as well as public letters of complaint, shitstorms on Twitter and collective harassments on social media towards Leng. Neither of the actors nor the company have released a statement about the incidents yet.

❗️ Korean model and actor Nam Yoon Su was announced as the lead actor in the upcoming KBL Love in the Big City. Further details are yet to be announced.

❗️The Korean BL Unintentional Love Story is getting a spinoff revolving around the characters HoTae and DongHee. Filming is set to begin soon.

❗️ At the streaming event for the final episode of Love in Translation, the mains Daou & Offroad announced they will star in a movie together in 2024.

❗️ After winning the Be On Cloud reality show The Hidden Character, actors Ta Nannakun and Copper Phuriwat were offered the lead roles in the original Be On Cloud series "Dead Friend Forever", which was written by Sammon. The genre is described as 90's teen slasher horror. Filming has already started and the show is set to air on December 23rd.

August Wrap-up

highlights of the month

Books/Poetry: I read Jorge Louis Borges’ “This Craft of Verse” - a book with 6 lectures on poetry and literature. By reading only the first lecture I was sure this book would take a place among my favorites. And it certainly did. I loved how approachable these lectures were, even if they were given by a master of literature, poetry, and thinking.

TV & Movies: Only murders in the building is back! And I love that my husband and I have a weekly ritual of cuddling up, watching the show, and speculating about who the suspect is. I've started to appreciate less and less binge-watching, since those nights are so fun and something to look forward to in our week.

Music: Mitski my beloved released “Bug Like an angel” and I’ve been playing that song on repeat. I mean the chorus is chef’s kiss. I can’t wait for the full release of her album in September.

Art: The drawings of Selynn Lee are so cute, whimsical, and precious. My favorite ones are “Wait there! give me my bread back”, “Dream of becoming a big cat” and of course the Babuschka cats such as this one.

Happy February!

It is the 1st of the month, and I am here to give you an update of what to expect for the rest of the year. I may change or fluctuate, but here is the basic plan!!!

On the first of every month, I am going to give you the Highlights of what to expect! What is going to happen in that month? Should I start preparing for the Holidays in that month? To answer those questions, that is what the “Monthly Update” will cover.

The Not Yet Shifted Months pt.1

hello and how are you?

Well Everyone, it has been one exciting month and we have to say that we have made such a wonderful decision in coming back onto the Tumblr scene and trying again with our Works and Creations and Words and Pages!

And since it is our first full month back onto things ~ we came back in the middle of July, we do believe ~ we thought we would do a little breakdown of the months and stats and words and things! c:

🌱 Progress on The Not Yet Abandoned Works has been slow but solid! Being able to jump around on all five projects (along with writing out prompts, story ideas, and rewrites of all works) has been wonderful for us!

We might do something special for when we hit Fifty Followers, so maybe that can be a fun thing for September! ☆｡ﾟ+.(人-ω◕ฺ)ﾟ+.ﾟ

🌱 We had a wonderful month of Four Hundred+ Notes! This has to be one of our best months for interaction, we are so happy to have gotten back into the groove of things and be reminded that Tumblr is a good place, if you reach out into the Voids! \[^0^]/

🌱 We decided to participate in Two Writing Challenges, The Great Motivation Experiment | The 30 Days, 30 Lines Challenge! These have been so wonderful and amazing to get into, we are glad we did them! They have helped us write so much and we are thankful to everyone who helped along the way! (ﾉ^∇^)ﾉﾟ

August Shifting Into September:

🌱 We will be continuing both of the challenges that we have picked up this month, shifting into September! We can't wait to keep going and get more solid progress and work done with everything!

🌱 We will try to catch up to all of the different tag games that we have been tagged in and asked to join! We do have them hoarded in our drafts, so hopefully we will be able to get the Drafts emptied and all of the Tag Games caught up!

🌱 We want to get started on getting in on some of the monthly writing challenges, so we might get ourselves entangled in some more challenges and things, mostly to do with prompts, as we prep for NaNoWriMo!

🌱 We might be introducing some older works, from our Main, in order clean up the different blogs some! So there might be some soft rains of old works, prompts, rewrites, and concepts coming our way, shifting into this next month!

🌱 As always, we will aim to continue with our works, maybe shift around a few of them for some other works that are stealing the vibrancy from the main cast! As of now, our Five Main Works will be the same, though that might change as the month progresses.

Me: was on ch 12 when i checked for the length ORZ

#desiree talks #desiree reads #its one thing if it was a weekly series or something bc those are usually 15 to 20 pages #this is a monthly so it’s usually double that or more #and its more dialogue heavy too #but it’s interesting so at least its not too regret and #*regretable #once this month is done i’ll do a highlight of what i read this month #and probably something to mark what i really plan to read #i found a figure skating manga on amazon called medalist #and its getting an anime adaptation next year #and it looks really good #its about a young girl who wants to skate but is underestimated by those around her #and i think an ex coach or something #i saw a few panels and i really to read it soon
