Behir's Lair

A Dragon's Demise

Deep within the twisting tunnels and caverns of the mountain, the behir waited. It had been dormant for days, digesting its last meal of a group of unsuspecting adventurers who had stumbled into its lair. The behir had relished the taste of their flesh and the satisfaction of taking down a group of foes who had thought themselves strong enough to challenge it.

As the behir lay in wait, it sensed something new approaching. The scent of dragon was on the air, a powerful presence that threatened to encroach on its territory. The behir knew that it had to act quickly if it was to protect its lair.

It slithered out of its hiding place, its dozen legs propelling it swiftly along the rough walls and uneven floors of the caverns. It could feel the dragon's presence growing stronger, and it knew that it had to strike now before the dragon could establish its own lair nearby.

As it approached the dragon, the behir let out a fierce roar, unleashing a bolt of lightning that crackled and sizzled through the air. The dragon reared back, surprised by the sudden attack, but the behir was already upon it.

Its coils tightened around the dragon's massive body, crushing bone and sinew with ease. The dragon fought back with all its might, but it was no match for the behir's strength and ferocity. In the end, the behir emerged victorious, its hunger sated and its territory secured once again.

As it settled back into its hiding place, the behir knew that it would have to remain vigilant. Dragons were powerful foes, and there were always more who would seek to claim the mountains for their own. But for now, the behir was content in the knowledge that it had protected its home and proven itself as a fearsome predator of the underground.

i had a weird but nice dream where joe keery had become a daddy and i was the baby's nanny. lol maika was the mommy. i was like whoa weird dream but i didn't want to wake up from it. because joe totally kept checking me out.

🌈 is there a fic that you worked really fucking hard on that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?

lmao, i feel like i try way too hard on everything that i write (by virtue of being a perfectionist), but one fic in particular would have to be fever pitch (aka the soukoku porn with feelings fic). i don't know why, but it took me at least 3 months to finish (which isn't as long as some fics i started writing, then abandoned for a year, then returned to and finished in a 24 hour frenzy, BUT). it was my first time writing for the ship and i spent a lot of time trying to figure out if my characterization made sense. to me, dazai and chuuya are both incredibly complex characters, and so getting into their heads and trying to figure out how they would act in a canon divergent setting took me a while. plus, whenever i write something E-rated, i still want it to feel true to how the characters act in canon. i hope i achieved that. idk!!!

🤲 what do YOU get out of writing?

the sense of community it can create! i write because i have too many thoughts in my head and i need a place to put them. when someone engages with that writing (or when i engage with someone else's) i love that it creates this little bond between people who have something to say!! i hate the trend of treating fic (or any fan-related art) as "content" that's meant to be "consumed." i want it to feel more like an open dialogue between people who are passionate about x, y, or z!

Hmm... The first time I wrote something that wasn't for school was almost certainly fanfic. And the first fanfic that I posted was for Teen Titans. I think I was around 12? Anyway, it was a songfic and I posted it on FF.Net. And when it was deleted a few years later for including song lyrics, I literally cried 😅

Escape from the Gaze of Stone

The sun beat down on the desert sands as the small group of travelers made their way through the barren landscape. They had been warned of the dangers that lurked in this area, but they had heard rumors of a hidden treasure that would make all the risks worth it.

As they walked, they came across a strange object lying on the ground. It looked like a piece of a statue, but upon closer inspection, they realized it was a piece of a human, turned to stone. They knew immediately that they were in the territory of a basilisk.

The group quickened their pace, knowing that the creature was likely nearby. But it was too late. Out of the shadows, a massive creature emerged, its gaze locking onto one of the travelers. The man immediately froze in place, his body turning to stone before the horrified eyes of his companions.

The basilisk let out a low growl as it approached the petrified man, ready to consume its prey. The remaining travelers knew they had to act fast if they wanted to save their friend. One of them pulled out a small vial of oil, given to them by an alchemist they had met on their journey.

They poured the oil onto the stone man, and to their amazement, he began to change back into flesh and blood. However, it was clear that parts of him were still missing, lost forever in stone form. The group knew that they had to escape the basilisk's gaze if they wanted to survive.

They turned and ran, leaving the creature behind to feast on its prey. They knew they would not be able to return to this place, not with the basilisk lurking in the shadows. But they also knew that they had been lucky to escape with their lives, and they would never forget the power of the gaze of stone.

☯️how do you think engaging with each other through tumblr, twitter, comments, kudos, creates healthy fandom experiences? How do you deal with that if you're not a social person/experience social anxiety?

ummmm i don't know lol. for me i think its good to find your little group of people to love (and sometimes hate) a fandom with so you can talk through all your idea's and thoughts without keeping them just languishing in your brain. idk i guess i don't talk think of fandom in this way so this question is hard for me to answer haha.

🎈describe your style as a writer; is it fixed? does it change?

character voice in the narration is the most important thing to me so i think it changes slightly based on who is doing the narration! otherwise i think it's conversational, not too much purple prose but i like to think im capable of pretty writing if the situation and character calls for it.
