Now that SWU is fully posted,

I can show you guys the map of Aramore!

disclaimer that this was made before writing the fic... and it's also my first time drawing a map... and also it doesn't have a scale because I'm really struggling trying to translate my "half a day of travel by horseback" into actual measurements.

Bonus version with in-character notes under the cut !

I imagine that this map was Joel's father's that he found and kept for himself, and then decided to doodle over it to make it 'his'. (Although that is Not canon at all, since Joel would not know where the EVO military academy thing is, nor would he need to when he didn't even know Grian was there...)

This whole map is a bit of a mess since I worked on it back in may i think, and just kept reworking it or adding on to it as I wrote (because for some reason I keep making stuff up as I'm writing?? Why???).

I think all of our little places shown here were mentioned in the fic, plus obviously we've gone to Boatwright, Woodpine, Canary's Ranch and The Shipyard, but we won't be going to Norbury, Cavalie nor EVO academy for a little bit... But we will! Just not in Joel's and Etho's story.

The mountains and forests aren't labeled, but the one between Woodpine and Boatwright would be The Grimm Forest (location for a next fic! hopefully!), and the mountain chains west would be the Aramorian Mountains, the one east would be the Vame Cliffs, as mentioned in SWU !

Last Episode Recap: Pandora met Amir for the first time and was thrilled! Once he finally got past her, he surprised Camilla with a new dress and impromptu date night invite.

This episode:

An hour later.

We landed at a hotel bar on the busiest street in the city's historic district. It was similar to the last one we had been to in WoodPine City Market and the one before that in Atwood Stadium, from what I could see; but according to Amir, they each had something special that set them apart from the others, and kept people coming back week-after-week. So our objective for the night was to figure out what that 'special thing' was.

ANGEL

The man is dressed in royal blue, his coat unbuttoned to reveal the white button-up shirt underneath, his pants smartly tucked into his high brown boots.

He grins when I answer the door, and for a brief moment the sun behind him seems to frame his head with deep orange light before it's suddenly just the sun again. His face swims around my vision momentarily before settling into just a face again. Tan, with round cheeks and an upturned nose.

There is a scent hanging on him like ink and paper and...fruit or flowers or something sweet.

"Delivery," he says, and offers up a clipboard and pen in his right hand, his left hand hanging onto the strap of his bag. "I'll need you to sign here, please."

I rather hurriedly take the pen and sign the clipboard, still staring at him.

"Have we," I say, and then have to stop and clear my throat. "Have we met before?"

The mailman blinks at me as he takes the parcel out of his bag and hands it off to me, a little square box which he moves quite carefully. He studies my face, his eyebrows drawing together.

"Oh!" he says suddenly, brown eyes going wide. "Yes! I think we both used to live in Woodpine. I delivered mail there too. What a coincidence we both decided to move to this little town of all places!"

A coincidence indeed. Did this mean he knew about my... experiments? The rest of the neighborhood?

"Best of luck with whatever it is you're doing here, Doc. I'm sure I'll see you around," he says, suddenly turning on his heels, clearly finished here. "Afraid I don't have time just now, but I'm sure we'll meet again."

"Thanks," I mutter after him. I stand there in my doorway while I watch him walk off down my driveway and get into his standard mail van. He grins at me again as he turns the truck around, waving.

I shut the door and look down at the package. It's bound with tape, just a normal brown cardboard box. Except that there's something hanging off it, I find. A note that says "Take Care Of Who Is Yours".

I shudder. The mailman must know something. Why else would he follow me here? Unless it was just a coincidence, but. But that would be...

I shake my head clear of the thought, crumpling the note and shoving it in my pocket. Fine. Everything was fine. Everything would be fine. What could he possibly know?

But still I just stand with my back against the door for a long time, the shadows moving around slowly.

Billow: Billow is a coral-type flora that grows predominantly in the Gracedwell Reef. Billow is often added to salads and other plant-based dishes.

Twilight Sunflower: Twilight Sunflower is a small flowering plant. It is often turned into teas. Twilight Sunflower Tea is often used as a soothing agent for sore throats and can also help lessen fevers in young children.

Tel: Tel is a fast-growing moss that often washes up on pebbles on the Desterted Shores. Tel is often used as a side dish due to being high in nutrients. Due to its ability to photosynthesize quickly, Tel grows incredibly fast which makes it a reliable source of food.

Myard: Myard is a flowering bush plant that doesn't require dirt for its roots to take hold. Myard flowers are often used in teas and salads, the leaves and roots are used as seasonings.
