The Righteous Hand of God || Wild West Ronance Drabble || 1003 words
(inspired by Hell’s Coming With Me by Poor Man’s Poison)
_________________
Red eyes. A flash of fangs.
The tang of blood in the air.
A dead man, with Robin’s fangs sunk into his throat.
These were the images that flashed through Nancy’s mind as she sat at the bar, blue eyes focused on Robin Buckley’s rhythmically swaying form. The outlaw had her head thrown back with laughter, boots stomping as she and the rest of the patrons of the saloon danced. The band was playing some jaunty tune.
Nancy scowled at the sight. She scowled even deeper at the way her chest panged with desperate want to join Buckley on the floor. Her grip on her now empty glass tightened, a soft crack only her ears could hear the only warning that it would soon break.
She couldn’t watch this any longer.
Nancy stood and smoothed her skirt, leaving the bar behind. Her footsteps were light as she made her way upstairs, through the upper floor to the balcony that overlooked town.
It was quieter up here, and she could get a breath of fresh air. She could still hear the muffled music below, the tap of boot heels and click of spurs. The wind whistled like a warning. The sky was scarred crimson—the sun was setting. Crimson.
Blood.
Fangs.
Red eyes.
Robin Buckley, the outlaw. Robin Buckley, the vampire. Robin Buckley, the monster. Robin Buckley, Barb’s killer.
Nancy’s sensitive ears picked up another sound—footsteps that followed her own. The scent of honey and sweat and leather—maybe a little whiskey—confirmed the person’s identity. Robin’s calloused hand rested on Nancy’s shoulder, and she tensed.
“Nance? What’s wrong, darlin’,” the outlaw asked, her voice a deep rumble that Nancy could feel in her chest.
“Don’t call me that,” Nancy muttered. Her heart couldn’t take it.
“What?” Robin questioned, voice thick with hurt. Her hand withdrew, hovering uncertainly.
“You’re not who you say you are,” Nancy murmured, surprised at the steadiness of her voice. She didn’t feel steady. She felt ready to keel over.
“What do you mean?” Robin asked. She placed her hand on Nancy’s cheek instead, and Nancy allowed her to turn her head, blue eyes matching soft stormy gray.
Nancy’s expression hardened into something fierce and angry, while Robin’s softened, concerned, fond almost. Nancy shoved her hand away.
“I saw you,” she began, one hand on Robin’s chest while the girl stared at her in wonder and fear and confusion. Like she was a god. Like she was something to worship.
The background noise faded to nothing. Nancy focused on Robin.
“You killed that man.”
Robin’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Nance, it’s not what you think—“
“All this talk about monsters, and you’ve been hiding that?” Nancy seethed, no longer in control of her anger. She shoved Nancy back, something cold and angry settling in her stomach. “You’re just like me. You should look in the fucking mirror for once, Buckley,” she continued, shoving Robin back again.
Robin didn’t protest. Her face fell, pained—but that fucking wonder stayed. The girl dropped to her knees like a prayer, one hand gripping Nancy’s skirt.
“I haven’t hurt anyone who didn’t deserve it,” Robin murmured. She sounded genuine. She believed her words. “He was a criminal—a violent one.”
Nancy didn’t know when she pulled the weapon, but she held the pistol now in her shaking hand. She met Robin’s gaze evenly. Blue turned to gold—a blazing desert fire, the setting sun on judgement day. Robin’s own flashed red, unreadable, uncertain—but pleading. Desperate.
“Oh, but that’s where you’re wrong. You killed an innocent,” Nancy whispered. She touched the barrel of the gun to Robin’s chin, wondering if the metal was cold on the outlaw’s suntanned and freckled skin as she lifted Robin’s face. It was a cold weight in her hand. “And I’m going to bring you to justice.”
She held her breath a moment, trying to steady herself. The name stung as she spoke it, dragged from her lips. “Barbara Holland.”
Robin’s eyes widened in recognition.
“It wasn’t me, Nance,” Robin, staring pleadingly up. She gulped, but she didn’t move away. She didn’t even try to fight. Nancy could hear her steady, calm heartbeat. She should have been angry. Maybe she was, but for the wrong reasons. Robin should be scared. Nancy should have already pulled the goddamned trigger.
Nancy’s hand was shaking violently, and she couldn’t tell if it was from fear or anger. Her throat tightened painfully.
“Then who was it?” she managed, voice dripping with venom.
Robin choked—a sob maybe? Panic? Nancy couldn’t tell. It frustrated her. “I can’t say,” Robin whispered. Nancy got the sense that if her gun wasn’t holding Robin’s face up, the outlaw would have looked away. It only fueled Nancy’s fury.
“What was it you called me?” Nancy scoffed, a bitter note, eyes watering with the words. Her heart ached. Her rage burned. “The righteous hand of God?”
Robin raised one hand, a gesture almost reverent. She gripped Nancy’s wrist with unbearable gentleness, stilling Nancy’s trembling and guiding the barrel downward. Stormy gray eyes never left seething gold as the gun pressed to Robin’s chest. Nancy’s grip went white knuckled.
This was it.
She knew this was coming, didn’t she? This was her life’s purpose for years. She had spent years traveling, learning of Robin’s whereabouts. She was always going to hunt down Barb’s killer. Hunt down Robin Buckley.
Fangs. Blood. Red eyes.
Fangs. Blood. Gold.
Robin’s eyes became Nancy’s mirror. She searched those gray depths for any trace of a beast. Any hint of violence. All she could find was warmth and care and a hint of fear—and a deep, drowning sadness that threatened to drag Nancy under.
She saw her own face reflected back. Blazing gold eyes and face twisted into ugly fury. She had seen this before, hadn’t she? Reflected in a different set of eyes. The memory hit her like a gunshot.
Barbara Holland.
Robin didn’t kill Barbara.
Nancy knew who had. She remembered now.
She knew what she had to do.
A bang echoed through the saloon.

Monster Hunter AU where Robin’s friends with the Party, Nancy, Steve, and Jonathan, but they all disappear after Barb’s killed by a monster (one of Vecna’s minions).
Robin has no idea what happened to them, but it turns out they were recruited by Hopper for hunter training after being exposed to that world. Robin thinks she’s been abandoned, since they had to “cut ties” with her to protect her, so some pretty mean stuff was said between them.
While they’re away, Vecna targets Robin anyway and she’s nearly mauled by a monster. She manages to escape when her mother intervenes, but she’s mortally wounded. The cops write off the attack as a rabies-driven bear mauling and Robin has to go live with her dad in the trailer park.
Fast forward to Senior Year, and everyone’s back in town. Robin refuses to speak with them, feeling abandoned and traumatized by what she saw. Things are tense, but they give Robin her space.
Things get complicated when Vecna starts attacking teenagers in town again, and Robin starts investigating. Unbeknown to her, she’s not the only one.

on my hands and knees for rival monster hunter ronance
zoey i have a few pieces of this au for u!!
first, some rivals (still working on this part kshgkg)
Nancy grabs Robin by the jaw, brings her down to Nancy’s level. Firm, slender fingers keeping her in place. Robin’s mouth runs dry. “Don’t ever get in my way again,” she says through gritted teeth. “Understand?”
then, some friends....perhaps more....
“I’m not jealous!” “Never said you were, Wheeler,” Robin says, grinning. Nancy’s face reddens, and Robin’s enjoying every second of this. “Besides, we both know that you’re the better shot anyway. Annie has nothing on you.” Robin’s magic thrums again, electricity humming just under her fingertips, and she has the strangest urge to reach out and— “Hey, lovebirds!” Max shouts from across the saloon. “You might wanna come see this.” “We’re not—” “Don’t,” Robin sighs. “You’ll only encourage her.”
and, bonus! steve and robin:
Robin turns around, clutching the vials close to her chest. “No, I can't just magic it away. It doesn't work like that. There are rules, and this is supposed to be a back-up plan anyway,” she says, motioning toward the cauldron. “Plan 'A' is to use Wheeler's special shotgun.” “Special shotgun?” Robin shrugs. “It's charmed or enchanted or some shit. She won't let me experiment on it to see what it's actually made of, or what the charm is. She's very protective over it.” Steve hums, snaps his fingers. “Oh, like you and that book you always carry.” "For the last time, Steven. It is a grimoire. I have to have it in order to do this,“ she motions to all the vials and the smoking cauldron in front of her. ”it's not just a book.“ ”Whatever,“ he says, grabbing his hat and boots, slipping them on before he slips out the door. ”I've got to go meet Claudia for Dustin's lessons. Says he needs to do more than just experiment on her garden all day. Actually, I might send him here if he keeps that up. He could be a great apprentice.“

Thinking about Wild West Ronance again
If I make this ANOTHER werewolf au, that is MY business—
Robin is a famed outlaw. She’s a horse rustler, bank robber, etc. She’s mostly only done nonviolent crimes—but she was framed and run out of town for a murder she didn’t commit (Barbara Holland, mayhaps?). She has a reputation of a serial heartbreaker, but let’s be real, she doesn’t really realize it.
Nancy Wheeler grew up a prim and proper country girl with every intention of being a school teacher—until her childhood best friend was murdered in cold blood. She vowed to hunt down the outlaw that did it and spent the last few years as a bounty hunter. She stays masked and no one knows it’s sweet Nancy Wheeler—instead they know the bounty hunter by a different name (yet to be decided).
Toying with the idea of the monster hunter/monster twist, but I’ve changed my mind from werewolf Robin—consider werewolf Nancy. Using her lycanthropy to track outlaws down 👀Robin being a monster hunter? Catching on immediately and suddenly they both want to kiss kill each other?
Nancy has sort of been hunting Robin specifically for years. She’s kept track—she has a whole journal—or every sighting and every crime. Only once she sees a poster in a saloon does she realize Robin is nearby—and Nancy has her change at revenge.
Only, Robin knows already the bounty hunter in town. And it doesn’t take long before she connects the dots about Nancy’s lycanthropy. Maybe they meet at the same saloon—Robin’s really bold about it. She knows she’s wanted, but no one is brave enough to make a move. Nancy sidles up to her, orders a drink, and says she knows who Robin is.
Robin, being a little shit, takes Nancy’s hand in her own—which are clad in silver rings—this cocky grin on her face as she kisses the back of Nancy’s hand and asks her to dance. Nancy is careful to hide the pain, but when Robin pulls away, she sees the burns and knows exactly what Nancy is.
Then they end up being forced to work together when a Bigger Badder problem arrives

Kinktober Day 18
not tons of actual smut because im low key burning out also im tired and have college so here ya go were robin and hunter nancy
prompt: knife kink
pairing: robin buckley x nancy wheeler
fandom: stranger things
--
Tonight hadn’t been the first time Nancy had noticed it. It, being Robin’s tendency to stare at the blade on her desk whenever they were together. It was almost like the silver had some magnetic pull, drawing the werewolf’s attention whenever she was close.
“Do you like my knife?” She asked, speaking right into Robin’s ear. The werewolf shuddered at her words, head knocking back into the wall. Nancy chuckled, relaxing her grip on Robin’s hip. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
Robin’s eyes were fully blown out when she leaned back, the faintest hint of gold flashing over her eyes. Her mouth was cracked open, almost like she was in shock.
“Robbie?” She asked, playing with a strand of Robin’s hair.
The werewolf shook herself. “Uh, yeah,” she mumbled, an adorable blush coloring her cheeks.
Emboldened by her admission, Nancy buried a hand in Robin’s hair, tugging sharply.
“Yes what?” She asked, voice sickeningly sweet. “Use your words, Robin.”
“Fuck, Nancy, yes,” she breathed out, hands settling on Nancy’s hips to ground herself. “Yes, I like your knife.”
She smiled sweetly at the blushing werewolf, then let go of her hair.
“Next time, just say so,” she said, picking up the sheathed blade, pulling the knife free of the leather.
Robin’s eyes were glued to the metal, eyes flashing gold.
Rumors about silver, many made by clueless lore hunting humans, claimed that a single touch to a werewolf’s skin would burn. Competent hunters like Nancy knew otherwise. Silver didn’t burn, it just weakened wolf skin, made it easier to cut and pierce.
But Robin? Robin knew the knife wouldn’t hurt her, Nancy was too good at her job to slip up. She didn’t have anything to be scared about, not from Nancy. The knife though?
The silver knife just made her want.
“Tell me if it’s too much,” Nancy whispered. She knew where this was headed, but she never wanted to hurt Robin. Not again.
The wolf in question swallowed harshly, then nodded.
“I will,” she said. Her eyes darted down to Nancy’s, before returning to the blade.
Nancy stepped back into Robin’s space, the taller woman still pressed against the wall of the room. She took a handful of Robin’s hair, jerked her head back.
Robin’s gasp was choked off when she felt the cool metal press against her throat. Her instincts were screaming danger, cold fear washing down her spine. A low growl rumbled in her chest, teeth sharpening into points. The reaction was instinctive, her eyes flashing gold yet again.
“Robbie,” Nancy said, yanking her hair again. The growl quickly turned into a whine. “I know you aren’t growling at me over something you asked for.”
“Sorry,” she forced out.
Nancy’s smile turned dangerous, making Robin’s knees go weak. She released her grip on Robin’s hair, keeping the blade pressed to her skin.
“Strip,” she ordered, and Robin obeyed. She unbuttoned her shirt, sliding it off her body. Her pants followed soon after, leaving her in her sports bra and boxers. Each movement had been slow, calculated, each one made with the constant reminder of the knife.
“Underwear too.” Robin’s eyes darted down to the knife, then back up to Nancy, who just smiled.
“You heard me, Robbie,” she said. “Underwear too.”
She swallowed, and slowly pulled her bra over her head. Nancy’s hand moved with her, keeping the knife on her skin.
Once Robin was completely naked, Nancy leaned in and kissed her, hand anchored on the back of her neck. The kiss was hot and filthy, Nancy’s teeth nipping at her lower lip and her fingernails digging into her neck.
Their bodies were pressed together, Robin’s naked skin against Nancy’s clothed body. Despite the intensity of the kiss, Robin was constantly aware of the blade on her throat.
“Go lie down,” Nancy whispered against her lips, taking the knife away for a second. “Now.”
The werewolf obeyed instantly, watching as Nancy took her own clothes off, lean muscle and scarred skin revealed with each piece of fabric dropped off her body. The dim light coming from the window made her glow.
She stepped onto the bed, straddling Robin’s hips. The knife was still in her hand.
“Still ok?” Nancy asked, and Robin nodded.
“Fuck yes,” she said. “Keep going.”
Nancy leaned down to kiss her, soft and sweet, at the same time, pressed a thigh in between Robin’s leg.
She was soaked.
Robin’s hips bucked up, grinding her core against Nancy’s thigh. She whined low in her throat, already desperate.
“Keep going, Robbie,” Nancy said, and then the knife was on her again, the tip pressed to her ribcage, pricking her skin.
Robin obeyed, because what else could she do? Her hips moved faster, and she grabbed Nancy’s shoulders to anchor herself, orgasm creeping up on her embarrassingly fast.
The hand not holding the knife slipped down Robin’s body, and Nancy’s fingers tweaked her clit.
The gasp that tore from Robin’s throat was near-feral, her eyes almost completely golden now.
“Nance-“ she gasped out, and the hunter responded by moving the blade, back to Robin’s throat. Robin whined, bucking upwards. “Nancy, please!”
The hunter’s fingers pressed hard against her clit, dug the knife a little deeper into her throat, and she came.
Her orgasm washed over her, stronger than a tidal wave, making her toes curl and body shake. It left her floating on cloud nine, so blissed out she could barely feel or think.
Her eyes fluttered shut at the touch to her cheek, a sleepy grumble coming from her chest.
Nancy smiled down at the werewolf, rubbing a thumb over her cheek as she came back down. Robin just grumbled and wrapped arms around her, pulling Nancy down to cuddle her.
“Cuddle time?” Nancy teased, tapping Robin on the nose. The werewolf’s nose crinkled, and Nancy smoothed it away with a kiss.
“Was really good,” Robin mumbled, burying her face in Nancy’s shoulder. “Really good.”
Nancy chuckled, wrapping her own arms around Robin.
“I’m glad you liked it,” she said, kissing her werewolf’s forehead.

Giving up on the naga!eddie au for the moment (not entirely, i’ll still work on it, but slowly)
instead! i am doing a different steddie fic. basically after Eddie “dies” in the upside down, Steve feels super guilty they left him there, so he decides to go back to the upside down to at least recover his body for a proper burial (after recovering from his own injuries a bit, no sense in going into the upside down injured)
Only, Eddie’s body isn’t there. There’s nothing. Not even bones. Surely the bats wouldn’t have eaten everything. Certainly not within the very short time since he’d last been there.
Cue Steve going on a mission to find Eddie in the upside down (debating on whether anyone else should join him. Maybe Robin and Dustin. I figure he’d be hard pressed to stop these two from joining him.) They fight shit, find clues that point towards Eddie definitely being alive, and (minor spoilers for this fic i guess?) eventually find out “oh shit Eddie’s an upside down monster now” and it turns out Eddie’s like a fckn vampire lord or smth.
(obviously i’m leaving out a lot but that’s the gist of it)

robin and nancy have a short-lived fling before they go off to college. the thing is— it’s too fresh for both of them. robin wakes up screaming for steve and triggers nancy’s own panic. nancy can’t bear to lose someone else she loves so has moments of turning cold. they leave for college, and gradually they lose contact.
nancy goes to boston, to emerson, follows her dreams of journalism. she goes alone. she tries to lose herself in college parties, and it doesn’t work at first, but it gets easier and easier with time. she finds herself feeling happy again for the first time in years. she feels safe.
robin goes to california, to stanford. steve moves with her, and eddie with him, so the three of them get an apartment together. despite robin juggling a double-major and a part time job, she can finally breathe again.
a couple of years later, long since they’ve both graduated, robin and nancy bump into each other again. they’ve changed a lot: nancy’s hair is short, cut to her chin, no longer permed, and she has several tattoos on her arms. robin’s hair is longer, tied up in a loose bun, and she’s more tanned than nancy remembers. nancy isn’t a journalist, to robin’s surprise. no, nancy found her joy in creative writing instead, at mike’s recommendation. she’s working on a young adult series about a group of teenager— part time mystery solvers, part time monster hunters.
“like scooby doo,” robin jokes, and nancy hides a smile.
“like us,” she says, and then pauses. “are we— were we mystery inc?”
“oh, you were absolutely velma,” robin says. “if velma had guns, anyway.”
“velma should’ve been given a gun,” nancy agrees, and this time she grins.
nancy finds out that robin’s an english teacher, now. she still lives with steve and eddie, although they have a house together now, no longer a small apartment. they have a cat, and a garden, and they’re all happy there. happier than they ever thought they could be.
it’s been years since they left hawkins, since they stopped talking, but they fall easily back into conversation. like they never left. they exchange numbers and promise to keep in touch. this time, they stick to it. this time, they fall for each other, slowly but surely. they’re not the traumatised teenagers they used to be. they’ve lived, and they’ve grown, and they’ve found themselves.
nancy wheeler kisses robin buckley for the first time in years in the rain, outside her own apartment, when they’re both soaked to the bone and shivering. then she kisses her again in her hallway, and again on the stairs, and again in her bedroom. she remembers the parts she’s missed, and learns the parts that are new. they do this again, and again, and again.
when robin wakes up screaming, nancy holds her, murmuring soft assurances. when nancy freezes up, robin takes her hand and squeezes it, grounding her.
for a second time, nancy wheeler and robin buckley fall in love.
this time, it works out for them.

oh, sorry! lmao fair. the monster hunter au is the one where Robin is friends with Steve, Jonathan and Nancy but they kinda 'abandon' her and she's targeted by Vecna while they're away; they come back but the friendship is basically over now and Robin starts investigating stuff on her own... the omegaverse au is that one where ronance is married and they have a baby together, and Nancy goes on a trip for her work and ends up sleeping with another woman and Robin kinda finds out while going through her luggage. (sorry if this is rushed/confusing, just wanted to focus on the main points so you could maybe differentiate which aus i'm talking about lol)
Oh yeah, I got you.
Monster Hunter AU - Prior to Nancy, Steve, Jonathan, and the rest of the Party leaving, Robin has some pretty bad fights with Nancy and Steve.
Hopper tells them Robin won't be safe if they stay friends with her now (his first wife and child were killed by revenge-seeking werewolves in this AU), so they're forced to cut ties pretty dramatically in order to prevent Robin from trying to track them down. Things get ugly. It's known that Robin has somewhat of a fledging crush on Nancy by this point (although Nancy doesn't acknowledge it because comphet's got her and she doesn't want to lose Robin if things get awkward). Steve and Nancy are still exes, but the breakup was a lot more mutual. Steve knows Robin likes Nancy- he was the first one she came out to, so Robin's heartbroken when she finds out they're 'dating' again (it's fake- fake, fake, fake).
Nancy has to say some ugly things in order to make it believable, and she barely can bring herself to do it. Robin leaves that night in tears, comes back the next day to try and make things right, only to find out Nancy (and Mike) went and moved to some secret boarding school for the next year and a half.
Robin falls into the monster-hunting business after her mother is killed protecting her. She learns from Eddie (who's uncle is a retired hunter), and they track down the werewolf that killed her mother. That is Robin's first official kill. She becomes known as 'The Ghost' in the Hunter world, because no one knows who she is and she got training outside of traditional means.
When Steve and Nancy return with the others, they have no idea just how much Robin's been through in their absence. They thought she was safe. It breaks their hearts when they find out the truth, and it takes a long time for the older teens to work out their complicated friendships. Robin isn't very forgiving of them at first- she hates them. But she wants to stop Vecna, and she works with them to make that so. Along the way, they start to open up to each other again.
Angsty Infidelity ABO AU
So, this one's going to be a bit shorter since I haven't thought too much about it compared to the others, and it's getting a bit late lmfao.
BUT I WILL DELIVER!
Amazingly, Robin doesn't immediately demand a divorce when she discovers the used condom wrapper. She merely directs Nancy to sleep in the guest room and reminds her to check on Hope (their daughter) before going to bed. Then she turns away, pushes Nancy's stuff to the far side of their mattress, and sinks into the plush bedding.
Nancy listens to her instructions without a complaint. She doesn't want to leave without talking, without fixing this. But she doesn't know what to do. She cheated- she betrayed Robin's trust in the worst way possible. Her beautiful precious omega- the mother of her child- and she fucking cheated on her.
The next few days are tense. Robin barely speaks to her. She avoids her. Nancy gives her space; she takes care of Hope, she allows Robin all the time she needs to process, to decide what she wants done.
Finally, after a week, Robin informs her that she wants to go to marriage counseling- that she wants to hear the full story about what happened. She wants the truth, and if Nancy doesn't meet her conditions then their relationship will never go back to normal.
Nancy can't believe she's not divorcing her- she thanks God that Robin's not leaving- that she's getting a second chance.
But then she asks why- "Why would you stay with me?"
Robin looks at her with such sad eyes, with such hurt and anger in her gaze. She's never looked at Nancy like that- she's never made her feel so small.
Robin explains that she's been out of work for nearly a year now. She's dependent on Nancy's income- they have a child that's not even a year old together. She can't divorce her; she still loves Nancy, but in all frankness, she's merely stuck with her at the moment. Robin wants to make things work- she wants to know what she did wrong, why she wasn't good enough for Nancy to stay loyal.
Nothing's ever broken Nancy's heart quite like hearing those words. She rushes to explain- to tell Robin that she's the weak one, not her. She betrayed Robin, she let her down. She wasn't the alpha Robin needed, and this was the result of it.
In the end, they agree to counseling- they agree to trying to fix things. Nancy knows she has a problem now- she knows she needs help. She'll do whatever she can to save her family, but the journey to forgiveness is long, and Nancy has a lot of work to do if Robin's ever going to truly forgive her.

Saw a prompt on the kinkmeme of the kids all being werewolves DESPERATELY trying to get human Steve to realize he's part of their pack and like. Listen. Okay. Listen
Steve has fought monsters from alternate dimensions. He has accepted Shit's Crazy in Hawkins. But he also needs someone to hold his hand and be very clear about instructions and other social things. So when they kids casually mention being werewolves he assumes it's part of their little dragon rpg game. No one can really fault him on this!! Alternate dimensions and superpowered children are on a different level than magical creatures!!
Hawkins is like, a safehaven for supernatural folks. Werewolves especially, with chief Hopper around. (The Party is a pack that's young, but has strong bonds) There's some vamps, though they mostly feed off energy (god knows the Munson boy does with his dramatics and penchant for getting into parties to deal) witches, of course, also like Hawkins and have good rapport with the locals in the know. (Mr. Sinclair is well known for his soothing muscle creams, household blessings, and the occasional curse.) Fae also are known to wander the streets.
All this to say, Robin is a selkie. One time in highschool Steve picked up her coat that had fallen off the back of her chair and handed it to her. The other humanish folks in the room went dead silent and stared because WHAT THE HELL Robin Buckley is soulmates with Steve Harrington??? But it's quickly forgotten and marked as a fluke. It keeps happening tho. At scoops he helps her get her coat on when it's raining and she's going through the five stages of grief because how is her soulmate a boy?!? THIS boy in particular?!?
And then she realizes, on a grody mall bathroom floor, that yeah, Steve's her soulmate. She tells Steve a few weeks after starcourt and he's like ".......what." so she drags him to his pool and puts her pelt on, transforming into a cute seal in front of him and he's like ".......WHAT!" because eshes a seal but her smile is the same and he proceeds to pat her belly and worry that the chlorine isn't good for her and that they should go to lover's lake so she can get a good swim in.
He still doesn't realize the kids are werewolves until Dustin begs Robin to just tell Steve, he'll believe her he's ALREADY believed her!! They need their human!!!
And she goes "uhg. Fine. But one of you'll have to transform for him he's more of a visual and tactile learner"
Dustin goes mistyeyed "ohhhhh I bet he gives the BEST belly rubs and ear scratches..."
Robin is SO SMUG because Steve absolutely gives the best belly rubs and seals are just dogs of the ocean.
So eventually Steve gets In The Know of all supernatural, non-upsidedown, happenings in Hawkins.
And then he turns nineteen.
His parents, both in town at the same time and on his Birthday no less, sit him down to tell him about the Family Legacy.
Harringtons, after all, are notorious Monster Hunters.
