Hope everyone is ready for some HUNKLES! We're planning a TWO YEAR CALENDAR this time, for 2025 and 2026. Not two separate calendars, but two calendars, together! Like twins! 2025's theme will be a Mullet!Stan calendar, with probably some Researcher!Ford thrown in. 2026's theme will be two old men around the house or ship, just doing stuff. Like baking cookies or watching TV. Something more domestic and homey, as opposed to the adventures and monsters of calendars past. More details to come, but for now, it's time to GET HYPED!!!

⛵ stanley romanoff pines 🎣 i headcanon him as being bisexual! (we stan a gnc bicon!) gave him some gold earrings, longer sideburns and a ponytail, gave him his original fez design, some purple eyeshadow and also the brown eyes he may or may not canonically have.

✨ stanford filbrick pines ✋ i headcanon him as being achillean and nonbinary! (can use neopronouns but is ok with he/him for simplicity's sake) xe had painted nails, space themed earrings and i headcanon his eyes as being a greyish blue! (also i tried to give xem scars but i'm not that great at drawing scars orz)

Forduary 2024 is almost upon us!

And this year, it shall run from February 1 - March 11!

And now, the themes/prompts!

~The Life of Stanford "Grunkle Ford" Pines~

Week 1 - Childhood and School years (Everything up to college) Week 2 - College and Researcher years (Everything from college up to his entrance into the multiverse) Week 3 - Portal Years (Everything from his time in the multiverse) Week 4 - Return to Gravity Falls and beyond (Everything from the moment he returned to Gravity Falls and into the future)

Since time got away on us older mods and we've been otherwise occupied we decided to head straight into announcing themes for this year. We apologize for not running a poll but we've recruited extra help and will aim to be better in the future!

That said, the available mod positions have been filled! Thanks again to everyone who volunteered and to our two new mods!

For this year's themes/prompts, pick anything you'd like to represent those times in his life - multiple things if you want!

As usual, they are merely here to help you create so feel free to ignore them and do your own thing if you have other ideas! Also, time is an illusion so no worries on sticking to the schedule too strictly. Anything tagged with Forduary and posted during the event, as long as it features him and meets the guidelines (see below), will be reblogged. And also as usual, if we haven't reblogged one of your creations within 24 hours, please let us know so we can share it!

As for the above mentioned guidelines:

All forms of media are accepted. Comics, memes, fics, art, videos, etc.

Please keep your creations at around a PG-13-ish rating. Basically nothing too extreme in gore, violence, or NSFW content.

Ships are fine but please steer them away from in/cest and adult/minor content. Also, since it has been a source of turmoil in the fandom and this is meant to be a fun space, we won't be reblogging Bill/ford content.

Someone stop me from trying to host a Gravity Falls zine/planner/cookbook, I have too many ideas...!

(And I'm not sure how alive the fandom still is...)

As I'm already rambling, my favourite thoughts so far are...

A 'Seasons' themed zine 4 sections, one for each season, the Pines family throughout the year...! This one is my favourite idea, mostly because I have so many ideas for it! Picnics, easter egg hunts, BBQs, water fights, fireworks, pumpkin/watermelon carving, ice skating, and attempting to hang wintry lights all come to mind...

Stan Twins making up for lost time in Gravity Falls 90% silly domestic fluff. Both prior-to and after trips on the Stan O'War! Running the mystery shack together/watching the Duchess Approves, going to Family Fishing Day with the kids, playing mini golf...

Cookbook Mostly Mabel, Ford, and Stan contributing recipes with a few from the townsfolk and lots of tasting notes from Wendy and Dipper... I'd really want to make this one physical, though, maybe even with limited edition merch like a shopping list pad, a themed apron, or a cookie cutter set... I think a scrapbook style for some pages with drawn sticky notes/spot art of pictures of the characters baking would be really fun. Nailing the characters' handwriting while still keeping it legible would be important, though!

Something exploring the dynamic between Bill and Ford throughout the years-? 3 sections??- researcher era, portal era, post portal era/Weirdmageddon... I think this one would be really fun to do, Ford and Bill have such a crazy dynamic, perfect for really dramatic pieces full of secret codes and visual foreshadowing...

Stan Zine Exploring the many facets of Stan- kid, teen, criminal, Mr Mystery, Grunkle, Hunkle, possessed, etc... I couldn't leave Stan off of the list! This one also has the potential to be really fun... Heists, casinos, secrets and more!

I could definitely manage to host something free and digital right now but I don't want to run a for charity/profit physical zine again unless I'm certain I have the time/expertise for it... It's been a while!!

I might ask to shadow the finance/merch mods for a zine in a busier fandom to brush up on my knowledge of the finances side as the US tax system is uhhh intimidating (as someone NOT from the US) and in the past I have had VERY capable finance mods covering that while I worked on formatting/feedback/socials....

Still, if anyone wants to chat excitably about hypothetical zines hmu because I love talking about them! If I get to a point where I am CERTAIN I have the time to commit to one and I'm certain I have my zine-running knowledge back in order, I'll put an interest check out and run the numbers...

‘Sup, TAU mods! I was reading the fics and the blogs and stuff and was wondering why people were calling Stanford “Stanley” a while back. Thanks.

This is a fun little hole that we dug ourselves into way back when! TAU started in October of 2014, which was months before A Tale of Two Stans aired. However, a lot of prominent TAU writers and headcanoners subscribed to the "twin stans theory", so TAU from the beginning operated under the assumption that Grunkle Stan had a twin.

The only problem was that basically nobody guessed that Stanley was assuming Stanford's identity -- they just assumed Grunkle Stan really was this guy named Stanford and that the other twin was named Stanley. When AToTS came out and revealed the name swap, people took that into consideration going forward, but no one really went back and edited old fics or hc's to reflect the correct names.

This is most obvious when it comes to the "Stanley Pines Memorial Library", which was originally called that in honour of Grunkle Stan's twin, who we assumed was dead. It's still called that, post-AToTS, but now the reasoning for why it's called that is that Stanley is a pretty silly guy and would absolutely make his own business a memorial to himself while he is still alive.

This is also why Ford's place in TAU has always been a bit flimsy. We had no idea who he was before AToTS came out, or if he even existed, so it was often written that he'd died. Post-AToTS, he's found his way into more stories, and sometimes he becomes a part of the family with Dipper, Mabel, Stan, Henry, and the triplets! Other times, he has difficulty adjusting to all of the changes in the world, or is too committed to his research, so he opts to travel the world instead of settling down in Gravity Falls.

Favorite Book/Merchandise

I haven't been able to get the chance to read the multiple ending story book but I have read the other two books, and it's pretty obvious that the best one for me is Journal 3, especially that backlight edition!

What I didn't expect to be my favorite merchandise would be the soon to be released Gravity Falls vinyl containing Dipper singing his theme song and Disco Girl... man I can't wait for the other songs in the vinyl to be revealed 👀

Favorite Game

For the favorite game, they are pretty alright, nothing too ostentatious??? I haven't played that nintendo one (cuz im a pisspoor non american kid)

So instead im heading to do unofficial territory- GRAVITY FALLS NUCLEAR THRONE MOD

Cuz nothing is better than seeing Bill finally get a gun

And the other game i would like to mention would be the Grunkle Dating Sim, BECAUSE CMON- NOW THAT IS A WELL MADE GAME, letting u see a shirtless ford and make out with stan???? Chefs kiss,,, perfect

gravity falls was a deeply deeply formative show for me, I think a lot of my modern day media interests can be traced back to gravity falls. And my love of ciphers and puzzles and codes (even though i've always sucked at them lmao). I even cosplayed Mable and took some lovely pictures with a very sweet grunkle stan cosplayer. bought a pig plushie for it and everything. Sewing the shooting star onto that itchy horrible sweater was even what got me into sewing and modding my clothes

It's also (partially at least) the reason I cannot for the life of me find twinks in suits attractive lmao
