Ace is fighting for a World where All Is Happy to prove his mother’s powers were not a force of despair but a force of love. He spent 2000 years just trying to find her and learn why he was born. All Mitsume wanted was for him to forget her and be happy.

Aruto is fighting for a world where humanity and Humagear can live happily side by side. He does this because he still loves and mourns his beloved father, who was a Humagear. Soreo died so Aruto could be alive and so Aruto could be Zero-One without the weight of carrying on his legacy.

— hibiki probably found this online or saw someone do the game, and after she saw it she was like “oh wow! a good excuse to kiss s/o on the lips!” and so she proposed the idea to you

— however despite her confident nature at first, she was then hit with the reality of how she was going to end up kissing you (because that was her objective) and she immediately turned a bit shy and flustered at the idea

— when you both were biting both ends, you could see hibiki’s face turning redder, and redder, and redder, and it was so obvious that she was getting flustered (even though she proposed the idea)

— when your lips touched hers hibiki was on cloud nine, she was super happy, until she realized you had bitten off the last piece of the middle, meaning that she had lost the game

— she’d be super pouty and upset afterwards, however if you just let her win the next round or give her a quick peck, she’ll be quick to be back to her normal self in an instant

— however when you manage to kiss him, he’s so happy, then he acts all confident again and say such like “o-oh! well of course i knew that was going to happen” it’s super cute please amuse him

— but at the same time hajime felt sympathy that you didn’t get to win, so the next couple of times you play this game hajime will let you purposely win just to see the happy expression on your face

— although he loves the game a lot (because it’s a really good excuse to kiss you) he doesn’t like eating the chocolate all the time, so whenever you play be sure to bring in different flavors like ‘matcha’ so hajime doesn’t feel like he’s eating too much chocolate or something

— hajime doesn’t like to admit it, but he really likes when you both have little sweet romantic things like this in the relationship (he really likes it when you’re spending your time on him and these small things) it makes him feel special!

— he genuinely enjoys the game, next time he’ll be the one to propose or recommend the idea to play the game again with you! (don’t say no) he’ll be super happy if you do agree!

— “what flavor did you bring this time? strawberry? well I don’t mind!”

KR Geats' production conflict

There are some who said that the final quarter of the show feels cramped/rushed, and I was also worried when Geats is ending, not due to wanting it stay or have "season 2" or such, but because it never gave me the feeling that the series is almost done wrapped even at ep. 38 (so extended series after ending/"season 2" won't work on this either).

Well, I know dwelling on it won't do anything, but I guess I've found the likely reason that it feels that way, so at least there's closure for me. The reason seem to be this decision (from this link):

Takebe wanting to Sara's screentime as the beacon of light, which primarily affects how pushed forth Keiwa's heel turn was, which Takahashi planned earlier. But I think the series as a whole got slowed down in the middle for this, in Yearning arc that focuses on Sara's stint as Hakubi in DR, and the first few episodes of Genesis arc.

So overall, ep. 34-40 of the series (it's said too above Keiwa's heel turn is pushed to forties). May also explain why the primary Rider (by extension the others) gets final form really late compared to usual.

The series did get concluded without being left hanging much, thanks to Ace's powers despite the stakes, and the cast do get closure, which dispelled some of my worries, but there are handful moments I want to see in the series listed in link below:

Looking forward for these in KR Geats if it has more/enough time

Though after all of this, don't get me wrong, this isn't a hate for Sara. Reject Kekera's view of her as an expendable story element instead of a person, and fans who wished the same "for Keiwa's sake" (e.g. going dark for his "success").

By filling in Sara about the DGP (as Hakubi), she did become a beacon to raise the morale of the conflicted Keiwa and Neon, fighting for the latter's happiness to encourage her believing in her fans and her authenticity as a person. I think this'd be some of my suggestions to keep her role but not taking too long in middle:

(KR Geats) Suggestion to keep Sara's role but more concise

Though dunno if the initial plan will still have Yearning DR created or not, but to instead kill Sara off at the end of JGP. There are required plot progression done in Yearning arc like Ace and the DGP team figuring out the Goddess. Keiwa's next schemes and Bujin Sword debut also needs Tsumuri's role to be known, as his means to the end, his "shortcut".

To wrap it off, I'd accept and want for Geats to be acknowledged as breaking Reiwa KR's curse (quality wise), but I do have personal disappointments that there's still a conflicting decision after a strong start where it's a complete package of a season that excels in what not much seasons can pull off like the mystery building, plot point, its action (IMO), and how there are no outright bad episodes generally, which I felt it was consistent due to how it feels planned from the beginning to me (like Build), rather than making last minute decisions.

Decision change can be something well-received like Hiromi's extension (I liked it as a build up for Vail plot twist), and there can be cancelled decision that likely turns out better like Gaim-esque ending for Geats planned before Battle Royale movie.

But for Sara one, Geats is already very tight, not enough room even with Geats' fast pace - it already only focuses on what matters for the story (only featuring Mitsume as Ace's family, said below), without extending those that served their use, even small roles (like the quick death/departure for extra Riders... Kanato in Gang Riders or even Yukie/Letter):

Still duration management needs to be taken into account, with this being a yearly franchise that has limited set of episodes. Guess this is a case when the yearly episode format is too little for a KR season, instead of too many (much padding to go to 40+) - same reason to better have KR not restricted to yearly format

Though ofc, not taking things too long in middle for Sara still depends on how those other stuff would be executed. And the show itself may only care about giving necessary conclusions for the plot and characters (which it did), my additions above are for more extra enjoyment.

this is a slight headcanon of mine that i really like because i love the idea of mitsume deciding to leave ace as a result of her realizing that ace had inherited her powers.

ace’s father had been erased from history, yet one day, ace had brought him home, happily proclaiming his arrival over the sound of the familiar ring of the bells. it’s where mitsume realized in slight horror that her son had this strange power that she had as well.

and so she left to let herself become used before the dgp found about ace. before they used him. she hoped that he would forget about him entirely and live a life away from everything she was connected to.

unbeknownst to her, the dgp had removed ace and his father not long after she had become the goddess, wanting to get rid of someone who was connected to her and the individual who should have been dead.

Okay I didn’t get that far. But like. Life met him. So!

She can’t help crying when she sees him. Ace was such a mixed up thing - the hoping he’d move on and the hoping she could see him again, hold their baby boy in her arms and tell him it’s okay.

But him? The man she loved enough to create Ace?

He’s warm as she remembers, even when they both at dead, and she leans against his chest.

“You’re… you’re in clothes of this era,” is the first thing she processes, unused to buttons when she rests her head against his chest. Soft and solid as she remembers.

“I figured I should match our son,” he says, his voice bright. “He’s amazing, you know.”

“I think we all know,” a voice says, and Mitsume jumps, clinging to her beloved.

“Who…”

“You can call me Life,” the being says. And something registers inside of Mitsume. A connection. Like the whisper in her mind when she prayed for Ace. “You built your powers from mine. It’s nice to meet the woman who made my son.”

“Oh,” Mitsume says. She looks the other goddess up and down from her knowing red eyes to her pale skin to her soft straight hair. She hastily moves to bow. “It’s nice to meet you.”

Hands take hers. Mitsume blinks.

“Oh, none of that,” Life says. “We’re family. And I’d very much like to get to know you.”

“Ah…” Mitsume says. It’s been so long since she’s spoken to anyone but three little souls… “I’d like that?”

Maximus laughs, wraps his arms around them both.

“How about we start with watching Ace kick Sueru’s ass?” He asks. Life grins, and her face warps to something strange and inhuman. It’s just as beautiful, Mitsume thinks.

“Oh, we are absolutely watching,” Life says. “Would you like to?”

Mitsume leans against her lover, finally returned to her, and looks at the strange woman who claims they are connected.

“I think I’d like that, too.”
