we need to talk about why I watched Merlin because of one video

I THOUGHT THEY WERE TOGETHER?!!??? because I thought, “oh, servant x boss/employer trope COUNT ME IN!!!” and then I found out halfway thru the show that they’re just “friends” AND I SAID “well that can’t be true, I thought they would be together that’s the reason I watched the show?!??” I mean, eventually they would be together right? THEY SHOULD BE TOGETHER!!

There is just something about Arthur’s voice…the “emergency-ness” at Arthur’s voice, like he needs Merlin at by his side AT ALL TIMES. like he cannot breathe when Merlin’s not by his side?? and the lingering eyes?!? the heart eyes they give to each other??!! and also the fact that THEY ARE DESTINED WITH EACHOTHER, to eachother?! TELL ME THAT’S ALL PLATONIC?!??

BBC Merlin was both my bisexual awakening, and had obvious gayness to it. Merthur is the number one ship. The og Nick and Charlie coming to the screen in 2008-2013. They never said they were a couple; but it is implied by Arther constantly needing Merlin, and Merlin always being protective of Arthur. It is also shipped by the entire fandom, and the cast.

Charlie is overprotective of Nick , and Nick loves everything about Charlie. Charlie’s imperfections make him perfect to Nick. How much Nick cares, and would never give up on him, or anyone else, is what makes Charlie feel safe and loved. Nick knows that he is in love with him, and nothing could change that.

Modern AU. Merlin is famous indie rock artist Emrys. After his first viral single "Dragonlord" he climbed the charts quickly becoming one of Europe's biggest stars. His manager Gwen, has recently gotten him a meeting with one of the biggest record labels in all of Europe Pendragon Records run by CEO Uther Pendragon, although its his son Arthur who deals with most of the clientele.

Merlin was pretty nervous about his meeting with Pendragon Records, they were the biggest record company in Europe, some people even think that the Pendragon's themselves were descended from old royalty. When they walked into the the building Merlin could see why. This whole place screamed rich, as Gwen walked up to the front desk to let them know Emrys had arrived, Merlin couldn't help but stare at the wall of platinum records, the name Ygraine caught his eye that was his mother's favorite singer, and the late wife to Uther Pendragon, the CEO and founder of Pendragon Records.

"Mr. Emrys," a voice called, Merlin turned to see a tall man with curly blonde hair,

"If you will follow me, we can get started," Merlin nods as he and Gwen follow the man into an office, and leaning against the desk Merlin sees the most handsome man he thinks he has ever seen,

"Arthur this is Emrys and his manager Gwen," the curly haired man said,

"Thank you Leon, and it is wonderful to meet you Mr. Emrys," Arthur said shaking both Gwen and Merlin's hands,

"Merlin! You can call me Merlin, Mr. Pendragon," Merlin said stuttering, Arthur nodded chuckling as he sat down at his desk,

"Well, Merlin. You can call me Arthur. Now let's get too it, is Pendragon Records the right fit for Emrys and the brand he has created?"

[A/N: should I end up writing more of this i am not sure yet. I just had the fun thought of this as a fun merthur fic idea. Let me know]

so I read someone talking about a merlin deleted scene where merlin compliments the knights and arthur gets pissy and goes fight them to prove that he is better, and I thought it was an exaggeration but it ISNT AT ALL

scene includes:

Arthur says that Percival is strong but not agile, he isn’t the whole package. Merlin agrees and says that GWAINE is the whole package

Arthur goes off to fight Gwaine, who takes his shirt and gives it to Percival??? akjdjda

(we were robbed of shirtless gwaine with a sword)

Arthur then goes fight Elyan, wins, and goes brag to merlin saying, and I quote, “Elyan has got concentration, strength, the whole package, and still I win! What do you have to say about that?” while being dangerously close to him

They had to take it out because it’s the gayest scene I’ve ever watched in my whole fucking life they wouldn’t be able to beat the merthur allegations after it
