Devil-Mart ⭐ (Obey Me!)
━━━━━━━━━━ ✦ ━━━━━━━━━━
You got hired at mega retailer, Devil-Mart⭐. Naturally, the guys "suddenly" need a job too and start working alongside you.
»Characters: Demon Bros + Bonus Dia and Barb
»Tags: Humor, Bulleted Style fic, Gender Neutral Reader/MC
»Notes: How about shopping with them?-> [Devil-Mart: Shopping]
Tumblr media
Lucifer:
"...Mammon put us in debt this month."
Was worried you'd be bullied (or eaten) surrounded by demons/other monsters
Is that coworker who acts like a boss
Actually does make it to management within the first week
The customer isn't always right. He's the manager to call for rude customers
Actually likes stocking, finds neat aisles soothing
The home improvement dept is his favorite
Frequently makes sure you take all your breaks
Doubles as store security if needed
Tumblr media
Mammon:
"I just needed extra cash alright?"
Was worried you'd fall for some other demon
Failed in all departments except online orders (he's very fast!)
Bags for orders would occasionally go missing
Took extra long breaks but Lucifer caught on and wrote him up
Would try to frequently visit you in your department
Started fights with other workers who were busier staring at you than their work
"They're not meat, beat it!"
Got fired for trying to steal electronics
Tumblr media
Levi:
"Theres a lot of new merch releases coming up soon!"
Didn't want to be the only one left out so he applied...plus you won't see him anymore!
Electronics department ONLY
You won't find him cross trained anywhere else, he refuses
Is actually really good with upselling
Can be aggressive if you don't go with his recommendations
Has received a few complaints for that reason
Tries to match his breaks with you since that's the only time he really gets to see you
Was the one who tattled on Mammon
Tumblr media
Satan:
"This is for research."
A lie he almost believes but knows he just wants to be near you
Works the same department as you so you see each other all day
Never put him on registers or customer service
Almost got into a fight on the first day
Retail is rough for him but he does it for you
Complains to Demon Resources about Lucifer daily
Tumblr media
Asmo:
"Ugh...a job!? I'm gonna cry. Oh but my fans would love if I relate to them! And your job will be fun with me there!"
Upfront about his reason lol
Refused to do anything except customer service
Just stands back and talks to customers while the coworker alongside him completes any transactions
Makes DevilToks on the clock
Frequently leaves his spot to talk to you and Satan
Gets all the work gossip
Lucifer never catches on
"You know, this isn't so bad! I'm such a good worker right!?"
Gets employee of the month
Tumblr media
Beel:
"I don't like the thought of you surrounded by demons alone. This isn't RAD."
Aalajffkslsjda the cutest honest protector
Is cross trained everywhere but
Never put him near grocery ever again
Likes to work with you if he gets the chance
Usually works in the backroom unloading and back stocking things
Has a doctors note that let's him take frequent breaks for eating
His favorite department overall is security because Lucifer gives him extra treats if he prevents high valued thefts
Tumblr media
Belphie:
"I'm here because I have things I would like to have."
Is there an extra meaning to that?
Works in the back with Beel usually
Takes frequent naps in hidden areas of the backroom
Pretends to look busy if Lucifer is around
Also complains to Demon Resources about Lucifer daily
Fights with Levi on your breaks because he also wants to spend time with you when he can
Is the reason some coworkers don't approach you
He makes it known to not fuck with you
Tumblr media
Diavolo heard you started a new job alongside the brothers! He goes to visit with Barbatos in tow.
Diavolo:
"Can I get a little help here?"
Flirts with you while on the clock. He thinks the red vest on you is cute!
Was wowed by the store in general
(Normally Barbatos does the shopping alone)
Liked sampling the food that was around the store
Was tempted to apply but Barbatos shut it down
Took a photo of Lucifer in his manager clothes
Tumblr media
Barbatos:
"Seeing you here will make my shopping trips more enjoyable."
Praises your work
Did have to go to customer service to complain and ran into Asmo
Didn't believe Asmo was gonna clean the restrooms but at least the complaint was taken
Takes a survey and compliments you
Has to fight Dia to get him off the racecar cart
"It's for parents with children my lord."
Returns the cart to the cart corral like an upstanding citizen
Tumblr media
My first bulleted story post lol. I had fun with this & hope to make more in the future. <3

How was the work place in general? I feel like there has got to be a reason why the entire last legacy team + lynne all quit around the same time.
The workplace itself? Tbh, I don't know about the writers. Their work environment was VERY different from mine. I also worked from home when I was doing customer support, but I was in-office during my time in shipping/merch and honestly? It was great. Probably one of my best work experiences.
However, I think the shipping/merch department was treated differently than other departments, as we were often left alone for our entire 8-hour shifts in a conference room to fulfill as many orders as we could a day. It was busy work made better by good coworkers, but honestly? We ran ourselves. Besides our department manager, we were mostly ignored by the higher ups and the rest of the company. It was only the other employees who were friendly with us that we'd ever see.
I can't speak for Lynne and Dev, nor would I want to. They have their own stories. But I will say I never saw the LL team in the office. Whether this is because NH wanted to keep us (shipping dept) isolated or because they worked entirely from home, I don't know. I do know that everyone has their breaking limit though. And just like I reached mine, I wouldn't be surprised if they just reached theirs.

i can't sleep so im gonna gush about the warehouse i work at bc im also working on not masking anymore and letting myself just gush about things i love and god do i think warehouses are cool. not as cool as the assembly line i used to work at, but the management at that place was super corrupt
(im dyslexic and my autocorrect is off, forgive any typos bc i just dont care to fix them)
anyway. my warehouse is a Direct to Consumer (D2C) warehouse. we do a whole lot of stuff and i have experience in most of the departments by now. essentially if someone orders from our store (huge major retailer) there is a high likelyhood the package will be from the warehouse i work at.
we receive tons of merchandise from the ppl who make it, as well as customer returns both from the physical stores and returns mailed in by the customer. ive worked in both returns departments and boy do i got stories of nasty stuff people thought was okay to mail in to us.
and of course we send out packages to customers. my least favorite department so far was Pack, its so competitive over there as far as production numbers. the way packaging customer orders worked over there was like this: many rows of conveyer belts that orders would come down on. on either side of the belts were our stations, a desk in front of you and a shelf of boxes behind you. then under the first conveyer belt is another one going the other way that you put packages on. that one would take the packages over to Shipping, ive never worked over ther cause im kindof a little guy and heavy lifting not so much for me.
the competitive part of Pack is that people who take the stations further up the belt where the orders come from get first pick. my store sells both clothes and larger home goods that are stored in our Home department. the Home goods take longer to pack while clothes are pretty quick. so people at the head of the line would always cherry-pick the quick orders while shy people like me at the very end always got stuck with huge comforter sets and stuff like that. i never had good numbers over there lol. but ive only ever worked in Pack during our holiday season rush when we have tons of seasonal workers, so it may not be so competitive in the off-season.
another of our departments is called Active, i think because thats where most active merchandise is. mostly just clothes bundled in plastic but ive seen more toys and random stuff this season since toys r us closed. we have three floors in this dept. over here we put product away as well take product out, called Picking. which is what i normally do this season. a Picker takes a big metal cart and a few of these big boxes we call totes, they're like hard plastic with cutout handles and no top. using a scanner, that right now just looks like a cell phone with a good case, we walk through the isles of merchandise and pick stuff from cardboard boxes on shelves. when the tote is full enough we'll end it on the scanner and put it on a conveyer belt. the totes arent like, one customer order per tote, more like a random assortment of things that need shipped that day.
the people who decide what gets picked and in what order are Wave Planners over in Wave. i have no idea what they do except that its complicated and the rest of us depend on them for our work.
we have a few other departments where merch is stored too. in the center of our building is Beauty, where all the makeup, perfume, and idk beauty related items are. they have their own shelves and their own packing stations and a sorting area where orders are put together. its pretty neat. ive helped out in Beauty a couple times, with sorting, called MSL, and with Picking. ive heard certain parts of it stink of mixed perfume from damaged products.
another place is Case Reserve where basically stuff is put for longer than in Active. the shelves there go directly to ceiling, all three stories worth of space, so those are some tall shelves. they use big warehouse vehicles to get to high up merchandise when needed. i dont what the vehicles are called except MHE. i was almost trained to drive them once but i got covid and had to stop working before they could. now im glad though because i definitely did not realize what i would have been getting into lol.
a similar place is Home. like mentioned before, thats where our home goods are. ive never worked in Home directly but the gift wrap stations for Pack are back there and i used to do some gift wrapping sometimes. they have a big sorting area over and additional packing stations there too that ive helped out in. i don't much else about it other than that.
upstairs is Prep, they get stuff from Receiving and prepare it for getting put away on shelves, on the conveyers the boxes go, over to my department to get put away. they tried to train me in Prep once during the pandemic when there was nothing to do, but i was so confused lol. i have maybe a fourth of a day of experience in Prep cause they needed help in Beauty more.
the first department i worked in at this warehouse was ICQA, Inventory Control and Quality Assessment. basically trying to make sure that things are where theyre supposed to be and assessing what items are actually in a location vs what the computer thinks is there. icqa does a whole lot more than i can really describe here and a lot of it is complicated. icqa basically has sub-departments. my experience with icqa is walking around Active with a scanner and counting the items in whichever location the scanner tells me next. this called a Second Count or Seconds. its when the systems see an inconsistency in what a person said is there vs what is supposed to be there, and i go check to see what the truth is, so accuracy is the most important aspect of working in icqa.
There's other departments. as well as offices upstairs that ive never even seen. but those are the ones i have most experience in.
the whole place fascinates me. its intriguing knowing how every single department is working with each other, its one big flow. but also so super complicated. i love walking through the warehouse and just gazing up at conveyer belts that are two stories above my head. watching totes zip along complicated conveyer lines. the Active department has no walls separating it from Wave so i get to see it from the second floor, sometimes even the third floor, and its just so cool. we seriously have so many conveyer belts just all over the places going in and out of walls, going up and down at steep angles, taking all sorts of things all over the place.
the warehouse i work at supposedly has 2 million square feet of walkable surface and i believe it when im walking around at work. ive heard that people who do my usual job, Picking, can walk up to ten miles in a day just working.
i guess im done gushing lol. sorry for the long post, i just really like my line of work :D if anyone happens to read this and has any kind of warehouse questions please feel free to ask

Tumblr media
I’ve a couple of asks along the lines of this one, so hopefully it helps scratch the itch for folks!
Leech Lord AU - COV follower tier and internal breakdown:
Tumblr media
As the COV grew within the first 5 years from: "Fanbase watching livestreams”
to - "Oh god Oh fuck this is a religion now and not just a media empire isn’t it haha uhhhh are we a REAL weapons manufacturer now? I mean, we are aren’t we sorta? Shit how does that work, do we need copyright?. Should we be building somewhere for people to live or something?? Followers keep flocking here LMAO god fuck shit, oh man Ty what are we gonn- ....hold on lol lets make a city" - the twins rapidly realised there was absolutely 0 chance they were going to be running this on their own. It would be like the head of Maliwan running the entire company singularly. Plus a religion. Plus ten billion rabid followers who want to come worship at your feet and either have sex with you, or pull their own legs off for you, or both at the same time. Plus a galactic pyramid scheme scam hiding behind the universe’s most popular media streaming company. On their own. It was never going to happen, and they came to the same conclusion together; that they were going to need to hand management of a lot of this shit over to people who knew a hell of a lot more than they did.
The departments within the COV are numerous and constantly developing. The twins patron departments they have personal interest in or an affinity for, but don’t manage them directly. That’s managed by the dept heads, The Saints. These are handpicked people either twin has chosen to manage one of their departments in their stead, and report directly to them. It means Troy doesn’t have to have an encyclopedic knowledge of astrophysics in order to keep on top of their Science department, or Tyreen know how to plot upcoming purchase trends to patron the Merch dept. They can leave that to their experts, and handle the info they are provided by them in layman’s terms.
Saints are rarely “worshippers”, the vast majority of them are business people, experts in their fields, or extremely experienced opportunists who saw the same possibilities within the COV as the companies that flocked to offer the twins sponsorships. They don’t see the twins as Gods, they see them as their employers. Employers who will turn them inside out on livestream if they don’t perform as expected.
Each department has at minimum one Saint, with larger ones such as the Church dept having multiples that manage different aspects.
An example of some of the departments and who they report to would be:
Tyreen-
Merchandise
Wardrobe and Makeup
Acquisitions
Sustenance
Marketing - Advertising and growth
Branding
Sponsorship and product placement
Troy-
Finance
Engineering - Weapons and war-tech
Science
Church
Media
Information
Security
The twins tend to surround themselves with people they have a connection with in one way or another, Ty’s Marketing and Merch Saints are as loud and flamboyant in their opinions as she likes to be, and she takes delight in seeing them face off against Troy’s somber Tink banker head of Finance when debating budgeting. You can tell quite a lot about each twin by who they choose to put their trust in. The follower tiers within the COV itself, are just one massive MLM system designed to suck every cent out of the fanatics desperate to be close to the gods. Almost everything costs. Half their streams are gated and can’t be viewed without being Scum Tier, someone who’s on a set subscription weekly ( that can’t be cancelled out of without ending up paying massive amounts of cancellation fees ofc) Want to have a million to one chance your name will be read out at the end of a stream? Shit tier. (Troy - “Nice”) gives you that incredible opportunity. It only requires you be on a higher level subscription AND donate minimum once per 2 watched streams, great bargain! There are literally hundreds of tiers, each jumping the requirements from the previous one to a ridiculous level while offering a slightly less insulting tier name, up to Eridium Tier, which couldn’t be afforded bar for people almost as jokingly wealthy as the twins are, and who need to be also bolstering their monetary donations with raw Eridium, or forfeit the role. People on this tier can request actual, real, direct, face to face meetings with the twins, though the wait time is currently at minimum 9 years for the next open slot. This usually involves traveling to the Holy City and sitting in a dining room packed with armed crusaders as you get to enjoy being within 10ft of the Gods themselves as one of them picks irritably at his meal, and the other talks complete shit at you for an hour. You might get a word in. You might not. Either way, it’s truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, superfan.
Asks are Open!

...because, fuck it why not. let’s write about stuff that happened today.
. Got snarked at because the cart wasn’t “completely full” of stock. When I pointed out I am having breathing issues and wanted to try to get merch out, I was snarked at again with “There are people who are sicker than you who come into work every day.”
This is not a fucking competition to see who the sickest retail monkey is.
. Was told that if I “didn’t feel like working” I could always go talk to the store manager and get 14 days off. I said I wanted to be paid.
. Got pulled to count customers going in and out of the store. Made jokes with some customers, creeped a few out, had a couple stop and ask if it was ok to go into the store.
Had one guy genuinely curious as to what I was doing, so I showed him our counter (simple counter on the ipad thanks to the people who work in the tech depts of the company, or whomever made it) and talked with him about customer occupancy and how much this past year’s Black Friday deals were “a total let down” (he was disappointed). Made jokes about “getting the important stuff” as a guy set his case of beer down (hey, gotta make people laugh somehow).
Had few people complain about the cordoned off walkway to get into the store, had to remind a few that the exit doors won’t open if you’re outside. Had a guy complain about how the current walk path for the entrance is “fucking bullshit,” a “waste of time,” and “only causes people to bottle up.”
Well, my dude, if y’all would adhere to the 6 foot rule y’all wouldn’t be all up in each others breathing space.
. Saw two customers with crocheted masks! They looked super cool but I wonder if they’re itchy. And then I wonder if acrylic yarn does anything to help? But, then again, I am a dork who has been wearing a bandana.
. Had a customer lament that we are out of bandanas and had to go with a pre-cut yard of black and make a joke about making the men in her family be “bank robbers.” I told her that was ok cuz a lot of us look like them now.
. Was told that we lied to a customer on Saturday because someone told them that we were sold out of bandanas but they were able to “buy this one” (as they pointed to their face) on Sunday. I told them, yes, we did sell out on Saturday but there was a truck that night and the bandanas were probably on there. I got an eyeroll and a half-assed comment about how I’m a liar and hiding the bandanas.
Dude, our bandanas are fucking ugly this year. Also, I have my own stash in my house. I will beat you with merch if you try to steal mine.
. We are almost completely out of fat quarters and the fabric person has no concept of what “polycotton” is and just stared at me as I told the customer to go with 100% cotton instead. (and it was also like $3 cheaper). We are completely out of elastic, almost out of hair ties (was able to get some because I was down to my last two and I break them so frequently).
. Decided to be a dick and spend a bit of time working on my assignment in the stock room because I couldn’t get out of the grump loop.
. Friend dropped off two masks his wife made (one for each of us) and immediately got snapped by the elastic. I’m claiming the green one for myself.
. Grossed out a coworker.
. Made a joke about how I should’ve worn my top hat today.
. Got made fun of because I talked at the phone.
Seriously, if I can’t hear you I will ask you to repeat yourself. If I have to repeat myself over and over again because you can’t be bothered to speak into your phone, I will make faces when I put you on hold. My coworkers thought it was hilarious because I’d “only been over here an hour, imagine what would happen if I did this for 8 hours a day!”
I worked in a call center for two years. I can do fucking awesome phone niceties.
. Bought duster for the computer fan. Now I gotta wait til tomorrow or wednesday to clean it.

Ok need to spill. I got to work 20 minutes early cause I was running a bit too late to get coffee but still early for work. And I have a lead foot. So 25 min drive into like 15. I hit literally every single red light. All of them. But my manager was running late. Because his boss (district manager) called him.
I was early for once lol. I was supposed to be in the music dept today to continue on the massive projects we have. (Sooooo tedious). However do to nonstop phone calls and busy in store I probably spent a total of 45 minutes out of my 8 1/2 hr shift. But got much done. Did like 1500/6000 in returns (one box 1500 dollars of merch).
However at one point I was covering a lunch at register and watched as my least liked manager and my coworker just stood at the cs desk gossiping when I had noticed and told them earlier that the Biography section was out of order and the History section still needed to be properly sorted within its subsections.
Just done with this manager. 90 percent of the time I see him he is either faking being busy or just standing there. While pointing out things next to him that need doing (straightening a table, picking up a piece of trash). Like he nags so much but then does absolutely nothing at all.
I also feel bad cause one of the newbies I really like hasn't been shown how to do certain specific things and I keep being the one to find the mistakes and mentioning them, unintentionally calling her out. It winds up me just pointing out everything she has done wrong. Like this is less than 25% of our convos but I still feel harsh. I am like "dont do this ever, you have to do it this way" over a lot of what she does. Who has been training?! No one seems to be being taught shit.
Anyways feel like I have been especially harsh this week and today in particular.

i so can’t handle the anxiety from this year. like, already when i moved in with my friend & her hubs, i knew it was going to be stressful trying to pay my portion of the bills & whatnot, but the moment i set foot in this house i feel like i’ve been on eggshells, just waiting for the thing to happen that will finally make my best friend of 20 years tell me to get out. even right now when she has a new car and is divorcing the husband, i still feel like at any moment i could be pushed out. i don’t feel like i have the right to even exist at this point.
i’m pmsing so i’m overemotional right now but. best friend’s medically fragile child...her nurse just tested positive. which means we have all possibly been exposed. it’s not anyone’s fault or anything, but i’m caught in this paralyzing fear of ‘i need to clean the house, i need to call my boss & let him know what’s going on, i need to go get tested, fuck i didn’t get mail yesterday and i’ll need things for dinner later this week but i dont’ want to leave my house until i’ve been tested and know i’m okay’ but the health dept just wants us to self monitor right now i guess.
and my work schedule is fucked. they added a new route at our location so the workload is less stressful, but at the meeting yesterday i kept hearing constantly ‘we shouldn’t even have a merch but i take care of myself so i’m gonna keep her employed’ which feels fucking great to just feel like by the grace of SOMEONE ELSE, i’m still clinging to my job. my hours are going to decrease, right after i bought a car because i NEEDED to, and they’re going to decrease pretty much in the amount of my monthly car payment so thanks for taking away my financial stability. really needed that after i was already in panic mode over buying the fucking thing in the first place bcuz it’s money i should be saving. we were told several times in the meeting ‘all stores need to be serviced perfectly or we’ll have to take away the route’ or. they’ll just decide to kick me because ultimately i’m the one who was just rendered unnecessary by this new route. and what the fuck am i supposed to do if i lose my job?
additionally, the manager basically lording these ultimatums over us also told me (bcuz of a few phone calls i missed *months* ago) ‘you need to answer your phone. there’s no gray area there.’ so now i’m just terrified of missing a phone call because god forbid i am a human being with shit to do that keeps me from answering a phone call because what if the next time he just fires me?
what if the kid comes back positive? what if i’m positive? what if i get really sick and can’t go back to work? who’ll take care of my dog if i’m really sick? what if i die?

Word is that Mike Pence is behind the scenes working on health and human services. He has hired Alex Azar to revamp title 10 by putting $ into Obria which emphasizes abstinence. It’s sort of like a global gag rule. The conscious and religious freedom division helps medical workers who don’t want to help people if said patient lives against their faith.

Matt Lauer was accused of the rape of Brooke Nevils and NBC covered it up. Anne Curry and others have stood up for Nevils. It seems the management at NBC has themselves been charged with their own misconduct and tried hard to keep Ronan Farrow from telling us all about it. Comcast, NBC and Noah Oppenheim are in a bit of a spot.

The NBA is distancing themselves from the coach who tweeted support for human rights but then they apologized. China has been pulling merch and cancelling games. Many companies including Mercedes and Tiffany are really trying to keep China happy.

The Dem debate was the best yet. I am all for keeping it civil, Mr. Booker, but it is a fucking debate. I am glad they shook it up a bit. Mayor Pete did a wonderful job of imagining the world after Trump. I think he soared above them all this time. Tulsi Gabbard really stood out in her white suit. Since then there have been some illusions to her favor in Russia but her performance that night was great. Tom Steyer talked to the camera like a robot. I am all for his enthusiasm about impeachment but Drop Out! He kept spouting statistics. Yang always jumps right into his financial speeches but he and Bernie were so right about how we need to stop talking about Trump. It would be nice if they asked him more about foreign policy and such. But Yang knows how to give real examples of automation that we can all relate to like, McDonald’s and CVS. He not only talks of the truckers affected but of those who serve them as well. Bernie also talked about the much needed infrastructure. Biden seemed angry and defensive but he was right about a number of things. When the talking heads were asked if Biden did good, one answered that, “he was coherent.” Yikes! Once again, Warren won’t give us a straight answer about taxes and it is the thing that hurts her the most.  Her “let’s be clear” is not clear enough for many. One of the things the average person has really come to hate is avoidance. She also blames more of the job loss on trade. I have to hand it to Klobachar, she was forceful and called people out. I loved her points on paper ballots, why isn’t everyone on board with this?? Castro had the best gun line of the night, “Police violence is also gun violence.” Harris and Beto held their own but did not stand out to me. If you put them altogether they would make a hell of a cabinet. What about Bernie and Buttigieg for Pres and VP. Warren to run the War dept., Yang the Treasury, Beto to run alcohol, tobacco and firearms, Harris for Sec. of State, Klobahcar for the FBI and Castro for homeland security. Just a suggestion.
*****
Former career diplomat Bill Taylor opened his inquiry questioning with a “beautifully written’ 15 page statement. Many later said the testimony was disturbing which elicited gasps. His words named names and connected the dots. Thank you Mr. Taylor for being a meticulous note taker and paper trail keeper.
*****
The State Department finally finished the internal investigation of Hil’s e -mails.  They found 38 unidentified people were “culpable” in 91 cases of sending classified info that wound up on her personal server.
*****
Republicans stormed into a secure hearing room with recording devices for a show they were filming. Some of these very republicans are included in these closed door meetings and given the same time to ask questions as anybody else. The participants do have clearance so it gives them the right to do this. This stunt happened the day after Taylor’s testimony and after Trump asked his fellow republicans to do something. They blocked testimony for over 5 hours. Thanks for wasting our money.  I guess their point was that they have no respect for our laws and traditions and they are very slimy.
*****
It was good to see Sam Donaldson back out there on the case.

*****
Stumptown on ABC is a great new show with that grit of the tough 70’s detective but with a chick. Nice! The cast is fab with Michael Ealy, Camryn Manheim and the sublime Tantoo Cardinal.
*****
The Prince estate was livid that the President used Purple Rain at a rally. “We will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs,  “ a spokesperson said.** Queen has told Trump not to use “We will rock you” in his new campaign video.
*****
Where do I begin with Scary Clown 45? By the time a month has gone by all his insanity is old news. When we see his family and piers act like everything he does is normal, it shows how dysfunctional they all are. I can’t tell you how many families I have seen that would have been pretty happy groups if it weren’t for the mad man running the show. How can people act so entitled and want to help no one?  Is it the water? Do they remember how much they gave grief to the Obama’s and Clintons? Are they scared of Trump or do they just love their money that much? How can so many be filled with so much hate and why do we always let them get by with everything? But it goes on… A DC court rules congress can see Trump’s taxes. The man is using our Justice Department to block a subpoena for his tax returns?  Merrick Garland is the presiding judge over the circuit court. **The Ukraine thing started with Scary Clown giving a little quid pro quo to Zelinsky. Multiple whistleblowers have come forward and their testimony has been confirmed. He then told us to look at Pence, Rudy, Perry or anybody else he could think of.  Pence plays stupid, Kurt Volker resigns, Rick Perry resigns** Now Trump has pulled troops out of Syria and betrayed the Kurds. We destroyed our own stuff so Turkey could not get at it. After Trump said there were no more troops there, actually there were about 1000. Now there is talk of sending some back after all the backlash. ISIS militants are now back on the loose. More troops are being sent to Saudi Arabia. ** Igor and Lev were arrested. ** Marie Yovanovitch testified against the wishes of the WH. Rudy claims that she was blocking him from his Ukraine shenanigans.  Trump said that the former ambassador was”bad news.”  Yovanovitch claims that she was forced out as a direct result of pressure from the boys.** A NY judge blocked the Trump rule to limit legal status for those who use public benefits. A Texas judge ruled that Trump’s use of emergency funds to build a wall was unlawful. ** John Bolton is starting to talk.
*****
Scary Clown called Nancy Pelosi a third rate politician n what they described as a meltdown.** Pelosi pushed thru a rules package for the impeachment as October came to a close.
*****
“If you support Donald Trump, don’t be afraid to get down on your knees.” Mrs. Pence
*****
720,000 acres of California public land will now be given over to oil and gas companies for fracking leases.** In better California news:  Hooray for bill AB32 which looks to stop private, for profit prisons and immigration detention facilities. It’s about time!!
*****
The National Enquirer is threatening a libel suit against Ronan Farrow.** Trump has threatened to sue CNN.
*****
Arizona’s Joe Arpaio lost his lawsuit against CNN, the Huffington Post and Rolling Stone. Reporters called him an ex-felon but the judge cited a case which states that, ‘in the interest of free expression, there is breathing room when it comes to public figures.
*****
Professor Allan Lichtman has properly predicted the last 9 elections. He says he can’t make a decision until the impeachment predicament is worked out.

how the fuck does it make sense that the more money you’re making the less work you’re doing. that has been the case for all my jobs, the higher the payrate the less of a sense of purpose i feel because i am doing NOTHING.
minimum i was ever making an hour: $5.15 back in tx at my first job as an "usher". that was a misnomer as i spent 99% of that job as a janitor. we were not allowed to sit, 0 benefits, we were picking up dixie cups full to the brim of tobacco spit bare-handed, like im pretty sure a lotta health/safety regulations were ignored. my next job which i believe was about the same pay (can't recall bc i quit pretty quick) always on my feet breakroom was a small dark dirty narrow room with a bench. it was a grocery store chain called Super Mercado (it was a branch off of United Supermarket i guess to appeal to the lower class and often Hispanic communities they were moving into .. they took over an old Albertson's which was our go to store when i was a kid). I was a bagger but between bagging (which we didn't have that much of bc nobody wanted their overpriced shit) i was tending to the rest of the store via a checklist cleaning bathrooms checking up on produce, always busy. A couple of summers at college i worked maintenance for the school and that was also at minimum wage but in a different state plus i also was getting free room and board. i was busy maaaaybe half of the time but it was mostly because though the work was easy it was time consuming. we also were not allowed to be seen, so our breaks had to be taken hidden somewhere out of sight. because i guess they wanted people to believe their dorms were maintained by invisible leprechauns or something. when i was a desk receptionist in college that too was minimum wage and not much work but 1- got to make my own schedule, 2- though it wasn't much work it required my constant attention and energy as not only did i serve as security fo the entire building but also the first face ti greet students so it was on us to make a good impression and be really outgoing. 3- it was the only work i was allowed to have wheb i was an RA (unpaid except free room/board). after college i worked a couple of retail jobs that were minimum wage and at both of them I was constantly busy. that was actually an interesting comparison because i was being paid the same at both and neither one provided me benefits, but one I enjoyed more than the other simply because of the atmosphere. the managers were nice, actually empathetic, sincere when they checked up on you. but it was so tiring. at the other retail job i was not only doing my job but also my supervisors job bc she was constantly out for her sick child. i was answering calls, putting out shoes, clearing the floor, processing boxes in the back, picking up returns, hunting down requested items, answering customers on the floor, as well as doing monthly checks on every single box of merch in my dept, correcting improperly processed shoes (sometimes they had stock folk process them but would never show them properly), and reorganize the entire department when my manager decided the entire downstairs shoe dept was improperly organized by the original supervisor (yet she got to keep the job). Oh and we weren't allowed to unionize (many were actually scared to). The higher paying jobs ive had consisted mostly of me being present and (mostly) awake. i did some summers as assistant resident directors(ARD) or resident assistants, or even now as a mobile patrol. I think i may have been making $18/hr at one of my ARD jobs but i can't remember for sure. i do remember that that job required the least of me. Only had to do a nightly check in of students, a couple of rounds when you were scheduled on duty, and i think weekly staff meetings. I was even a supervisor in that position usually having a staff of about 3 Ra's. It just doesn't make sense to me
