Sorry to hear that you weren’t feeling well recently. I don’t do well either, so we can share compassion on that one haha
You know they always say short King and never tall king? That’s for a reason and ur a king 😎

- O
🤝 I hope you feel better at some point it sucks alot to have any problems with health be it physical or mental
Yoooo true?? I’ve never heard anyone say tall king wow also kdjkdjd thank youu gonna start telling myself that 🤴
Oh speaking of oreo milkshake! On the hospital lot there was a cafe that apparently like was sought out by people like even if it’s inside a hospital lot people still went out of their way to visit it. We had not eaten yet for a bit at that point so we went in and I got oreo milkshake and some grilled cheese and to my surprise the grilled cheese came with like a mini tomato soup!
Are you looking forward to anything soon :0?

Used a pic of my cat because I didn't take selfies in the hospital because ✨depression ✨
My life feels like a dumpster fire so why not post to Tumblr, the biggest and most wonderful of the dumpster fires? I'm incredibly lucky to be alive right now and still be married. I don't talk too much about my husband but if it wasn't for him sticking with me, I'd definitely be dead by now. I was always told growing up that if I couldn't work or got sick, whoever I was with would leave me. Yea, that coming from my father, who stayed with my cancer-ridden mother til her death. And who I had to care for at the ages of 12-19 after he had a stroke due to high blood pressure, which is a problem I now struggle with. (Watch your salt intake my friends it may well kill you)
Anyways, I started a GoFundMe bc I'd love to take my medicine but it's fucking expensive lmao and I kinda need to keep my car so I can go into more debt at doctor's offices! (And continue to work at my shitty part-time Walmart job)
The good Ole American Government has yet to decide whether I'm worthy of any help, so I'm once again relying on the kindness of strangers and the universe. Blessed be

heres the bit of lore i have with blood types, this is only a small bit of it but it's the three starter types and will sum it up.
long ago before humans were around there was a pokemon similar to eevee, but instead of a dog it was ape-like. archeologists call it adaptus, it was an ancient pokemon that can't be restored through its bones. adaptus' name makes its unique abilities obvious- it could adapt and evolve over time into any perfect type for survival.
while this isn't unheard of (eevee's ancestor could do similar), adaptus was mostly special because it was the most intelligent pokemon in ancient times. this pokemon species came to be the common ancestor of humans. adaptus had an extremely high population everywhere due to how easily their dna would change itself to suit their environment- meaning their bodies could change their typing without actually evolving.
now over time they DID evolve- just like animals evolve in our world- into humans. with their creation of tools and societies, their need for pokemon-like features lessened. however, many of those traits still remain in modern day humans. these traits are determined by a human's blood type- in the pokemon world, this comes from their distant ancestor adaptus and what type they were when evolving over millions of years into humans.
whether these pokemon traits are visible or not varies in each person. some have very obvious features and others of that same blood type you'd think were a normal type at first glance. i'll start it off with fire types: the type jessie is
the visible physical features of a fire type are on this picture, but there are many more things about them i'll list here:
they have an above average body temperature of 110 degrees
a handful of them have a disease called infernitis that allows them to breathe fire, though it's considered a disorder because it comes out unexpectedly when experiencing certain emotions, eating something too spicy, or coughing and sneezing. some with this disease are skilled enough to be able to breathe fire at will, though can't help keeping it in when they cough. jessie is one of these people, but unfortunately can't control it. she often ends up becoming a blowtorch when really pissed, and taking care of her with a cough is a dangerous task that meowth and james are somehow brave enough to handle
another disorder some fire types have to deal with is scorching fever. it's a type of fever a few often get when experiencing extreme stress that causes their body temperature to rise, leaving them sick. though it only lasts a day, it's a huge pain in the ass. unfortunately jessie is a walking mass of disorders and has this one too. in fact, it was this that got her sick in DP146
fire types can also handle both the cold and heat way better than anyone else. ever wonder why jessie can walk around in the snow in a crop top without a problem? this is why
now i'm gonna talk about water types. misty is the best example, because she's someone with the most visible traits you can get. though her sisters share her typing, they dont have the same features, and tend to make fun of misty for hers.
water types can hold their breath for up to 25 minutes
their eyes actually glow underwater and in the dark
they can bond easily with water type pokemon
water types have to be separated into different swim teams due to the fact they can swim twice or even three times as fast as even the fastest swimmer of any other type
they can open their eyes underwater without it stinging, and they can naturally see very clearly underwater
for grass types there's not much in terms of visible physical traits, but a good example is harley.
grass types get dehydrated way faster than normal, so they have to regularly carry a bottle of water with them at all times
the sun actually gives them energy- the sun is like caffeine to this blood type
they can bond easily with grass type pokemon
when dead, their bodies sprout a tree. the type of tree depends on their personality, and there are multiple forests around the world that are actually just graveyards. you can tell if a grass type died in a cabin alone- some abandoned homes will have a tree growing in the middle of a bedroom.
this blood type is EXTRA vulnerable to seasonal depression
thats all i got for now, theres more to each of these and to other types but ill get into it another time

So apparently some Swiss company found out that Brazilian blood has more immunoglobulin (which is used in some medications made by pharma companies) than European blood, and now international pharma companies are lobbying to change Brazilian law to allow them to use our blood as a resource
There is no current evidence that those things are related, but it just so happens that at the same time there is also another law being discussed that would get rid of "bureaucracy" when it comes to ethics analyses of trials on humans. It would also remove the right, which all brazilians currently have, to access to the medication resulting from the trials they participated in
Both sources are in Portuguese because both news have been recently broke by a Brazilian investigative news agency, but if you don't speak it, you can always use automatic translation
I know there's a lot of fucked up shit happening in the world right now, but please pay attention to medical rights in Brasil right now. Especially if you're European, because virtually every company related to this is from your continent and plans to benefit you above all
ETA: using blood as a resource for these medications is not new; however, current law in brasil only allows that use to come from donated blood (because it comes from the plasma and apparently not all of it is used in blood transfusion; I'm not a doctor so I'm not clear on the details but that's the gist of it) and to be processed and used by Hemobrás, the State-owned company that handles this type of medical technology. The new law would allow for private companies to buy our blood from blood banks for their use. It is worth noting that at least one company has already explicitly stated that they won't be making the resulting medication available in the Brazilian market, so, essentially, they will be taking blood Brazilians donated to help other Brazilians and using it to treat immunocompromised Europeans, to the detriment of immunocompromised Brazilians that need the medicine. In the process, they will be making it harder for our State-owned company to use that same blood, forcing us to import from them and therefore making the medication more expensive. They also want to make it possible for Brazilians to sell their own blood - a deeply ethically questionable practice that is discouraged by the WHO and that has led to HIV outbreaks in Brasil in the past
