There’s something so important about Gillion - who never heals himself, who rushes into danger, who hides his wounds- facing death and realizing he isn’t unafraid as he was raised to be. He uses his magic on himself to help with the exhaustion, to keep his life intact. And still he tries to comfort Jay and Chip while he’s coherent, being realistic about his chances but refusing to make it painful. Wanting their possible last moments to be light, to be about seemingly inconsequential things, small favorites that still mean the world to him purely because they’re Chip and Jay’s favorites. And then when all is said and done, he makes a raccoon for Jay. He talks about raspberries for Chip. He uses his last saved up arcane energy to try desperately to stay awake, and it works, and it saves him in the final hour.
It’s just. There’s something about how he hasn’t had a chance to rest since the Feywild, really, truly rest. How this whole time he’s been down on himself and taking extreme risks. And now, at what might be the end of it all, he realizes he doesn’t want to die. He wants to live. And not to be able to save others, not to fulfill his destiny, not out of obligation to anyone else - but purely for himself. For all the little things. And though it’s not quite healing in the literal term, his nearly final act was spent trying to save himself - and it worked.

Thank you, I’m glad you like it. I take inspiration from artists like @tostyart (twt) @robert_valley (insta) jasonlupas (twt) and several other artists, who do the same thing. I think it looks great. There’s no deeper reason sadly… just think it looks cool.

i do not think i have ever pined for something so unequivocally impossible to ask for is the thing. like i think i often am interested in unobtainable people bc it is easier that way & it stays safe inside & i don’t have to navigate the reality/(a)romance. and ig this is. sort of like that. but it is worse.
#1 i do not crush on straight boys in general except that’s not even what this is it’s a different kind of Bad#bc if it was just abt sexuality then i could put it in the same category of all of my like. normal unobtainable attractions#& even if it took me a sec to get over which does happen i’d be like. fine#i’ll get over it presumably i guess. that’s how attraction always feels when ur in the moment right#i think maybe the difference is when i crush on unobtainable people it is sort of on purpose at least subconciously for the aforementioned#- reasons & even if i do really desire something/one there r other ways to sort of scratch the same itch & i do know i’ll find someone else#- who fulfills it#whereas like. i Just Want this. & i cannot have it. which obv just makes me want it more#maybe five years down the line who knows. but the wanting five years down the line to exist is half of it anyway#idk if this is coherent. maybe it’s best if it isn’t. i’m just going THRU ITTT#i’ll be normal at some point. and so it goes etc#ted talks#🗡️

tbh part of me is kind of dreading malenia this time around. most other bosses ive taken on w this build hav been easier, n i feel like malenia is gonna nip my optimism in the bud
#ive got some pretty good stats for my build now i think#60 vig. 30 endurance. 50 strength. 60 dex. a little over 30 arcane#i kinda wanna get arcane up to 40#but i also feel like i should maybe invest in more mind bc i don’t hav a lot at all#should i respec a lil to put more into arcane and mind ?#id grind a bit so i can split the 10 strength points equally ..#i jst want enough fp to be able to summon tiche if it comes to it yk#mimic tear fucks but sometimes tiche has the specific skill set necessary for the job#i’ll b real by this point in the playthru im working the build specifically to tackle malenia#cause the way i see it. if i beat her once i can do it again#perhaps. we shall see#plum plays elden ring: mohg madness

did a writing exercise wherein i tried to describe my characters only through random things i associate them with & it was hard !!!

Finally finished revolutionary girl utena. Very underwhelming I must say
#like. I guess I got what they were going for#I just don’t think it was executed for well tbh#also I was just not a fan of a lot of the storytelling elements they employed#like the constant and repetitive visual metaphors#kinda fucking annoying imo#like I get it I GET THE POINT LETS MOVE ON I DONT NEED TO SEE IT 50 MORE TIMES#I do acknowledge that particular gripe is more personal preference tho#I mean there were some positives like I didn’t dislike literally EVERY aspect of it#but that list is much smaller#but anyways. yeah. do have to admit I do NOT understand the hype here folks#it’s def getting added to my list of anime#where if someone is like ‘omG ITS LIKE PEAK ART AND STORYTELLING’#I’m squinting heavily at you and probably don’t trust any of your other recs lmfao#but regardless! it’s done and finished and I can move on!#maybe when I have more energy I’ll type up a much more coherent review with more detail#but for right now I just need a palate cleanser#kaz rambles
