Man, I want shapeshifter cap SO BAD.
I want to see a Billy that really leans into the wonder of the world, the million paths a child could take in their life.
I want to see a Billy that wants to try everything, at least once.
A Billy that looks at all the people who spit at him, deride him, pity him, dismiss him, ignore him, because he has no future, no prospects, a child in the gutter and say no. I'm going to grow up to be whoever I want to be.
And a captain marvel that says you're going to be amazing.
Billy taking the premise of captain marvels form - his ideal self, a blank slate for Billy to paint his bright colours, the person he wants to be deep inside - and dialling that freedom up to eleven.
A dancer, a dinosaur, a train conductor, a tiger, an ice cream maker, a butterfly, an astronaut, a shark, a college student, a Tamaranean, a mouse, a scuba diver, an elephant, a doctor, a moose, a race car driver, a dog.
A child wanting to see the world.
If you want to find captain marvel, well first you've got to try his comm, probably a couple times.
Then you've got to go to fawcett, hope he's there and not saving the yetis from a salamander invasion in a different dimension.
You've got to ask around, because it often goes by word of mouth here, no matter what technology you bring. Don't worry, it'll spread very quickly, but if you're in a hurry you can find his commemorative statue and leave an offering. No one knows if it really works, but it's a good way to pass the time and feel productive.
Soon, a face will peel out of the crowd. It's always familiar, but it's never the same one.
Wait for the flash of lightning in a cloudless sky.
And then you will find captain marvel.

ive had to step away from all the analysis of the finale because thinking about it for too long it fills me with such a [rage? bitterness? frustration? all of the above?] the likes of which ive genuinely never felt for a show before
ive cared about media before. ive been disappointed by media before, but i think the difference is i haven't put my faith in media like i did ofmd- and the more time passes the more i feel fucking stupid for putting that faith in the show in the first place, when so many of the things coming to light now were already there
i cant think about it too long else it makes me so fucking sad, and im tired of analysing it to bits because its not going to change anything, theres no way to fix any of this, no way to find a spark of light in it, no way to come back, to resurrect the show i fucking loved.
im sure everything everyone is saying is well thought out and nuanced things but for the sake of my own enjoyment of this fucking show i have to just not engage with it anymore.

i’ve decided that post-canon Ed and Winry keep a little flock of chickens and it’s mostly a bunch of sweet hens that they and the kids dote on, but they also have a tiny yellow bantam rooster which Ed is in a FEUD with. they are NEMESES. this creature keeps escaping from the run and getting into things he shouldn’t and pecking at Ed’s ankles every chance he gets. the kids love him and ‘accidentally’ let him into the house where he causes utter chaos. Ed insists this is the most vile creature in the world. but of course everyone else who sees their altercations is just like “Ah. He has found a kindred spirit.”
#was contemplating a fic last night#for my 'Ed develops chronic fatigue as a result of that one time he used his own life energy as a power source' headcanon#but got very sidetracked thinking about chickens#they all have names that are either very specific mechanical engineering terms or elements/alchemical compounds#they call the rooster Pete but it's short for 'Saltpeter'#Ed did not think he was going to get attached to the chickens because he's not an Animal Person the way Al is#but in true dad-who-insisted-he-didn't-want-a-pet fashion it takes him like two weeks to become utterly smitten#fusses over 'the girls' and brings them the *good* weeds from other parts of the yard#has been seen chasing predators away from the coop brandishing a frying pan#has to go sit with them for a bit in the morning when he lets them out#(until the rooster attacks him)#gives effusive speeches about how marvelous it is that eggs exist#Winry finds it all deeply amusing#i'm not very fandom about this show i mostly just point at it and go 'wow! a good story!'#but this is what matters to me i guess#Edward Elric has chronic fatigue and chickens#fma

I'm curious about how Charles Xavier would react to one of his students calling him out for his blatant disrespect of other peoples privacy.
Also if this blog is still active.
Honestly I love Charles’s telepathy almost as much as Erik, and I do think the students that decided to take on the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngesters are mostly all okay with his telepathy.
We don’t really see a lot of students lashing out or getting surprised when Charles reads their thoughts, and that makes sense to me because I think that’s just something that you would expect, because he doesn’t hide it.
That being said, there could still be students that think he’s more low-key about it, or just didn’t do anything early on to indicate Charles’s blatant use and suddenly saw it and was like “Wait wtf”—so I think Charles would react sort of the same way he did to Raven. Respect the boundaries even if it baffled him at first.
He might even throw in a “Alright, I’ll stay away unless you project, or you’re in danger.” And if it goes further that just that student, I don’t think he’d react negatively or hide it away from everyone, because I think that would be a disclaimer for his students regardless, and he might just explain that.
Again, I love when he doesn’t hide his telepathy because that’s his mutation, his schools for mutants, they all use their mutations openly and are taught to practice it and etc.

Ok everyone I just finished heartbreak high so here are my little thoughts on it:
- the soundtrack!!! I usually don't really focus on the music but the songs fit the scenes and characters so well I was like slurpslurp bitch a lot of the time
- on the first episode I was like wow I wonder what's gonna happen and then I got to the end of ep4 and was like ok that's what we're doing huh okay a surprise but not complaining
- ASEXUAL CASH!!! love my boyy! though one of the episodes like maybe ep6? idk was pretty hard to watch cause I felt like a lot of Darren's lines were just so aphobic but then again it was pretty realistic. Sad they didn't use the word asexual but hey it's one of the best representation we have!!
(- Cash' trying to take a nude scene was my favorite like lmao I relate to him too much)
- QINNY was amazing I loved herrrr, from the start I was like ?autistic? and then they proceeded to actually talk about it properly like !!!!! that's huge! I liked the communication in Qinny's and Shasha's relationship too ahhh
- also Qinny's and Darren's friendship was eeeverything I love my babes
- Darren is just beautiful I love them so much!!!! Their energy and vibes and their relationships with people was just so fun to watch also that "I think I'm a hard person to love" line absolutely killed me
- Amerie has my heart it is so nice to see a likable main character for once lmao I just love her so much
- one of my all time favorite things in shows is when the characters have drama going on between them and they make mistakes and do shitty things but they're not enemies like they still have neutral and friendly interactions as well and it's just so much more realistic and nice and like the whole class is friends with eahcother u know?
- the representation ????? people just living as who they are like in real life ???? amazing
- all around I just loved it so much it was fun and interesting and talked about many important things like yey
- also the fact that it's australian just really sells it to me
- leaving this for last I apologize to everyone and God but Spider really had me going like I literally can't help it... he's a massive dickhead but like rat looking blondes are kinda my thing it's my biggest flaw I try not to get down Bad™ for these kinda assholes but even Satan is gonna turn me down from Hell that's how bad I've got it

Really it’s sad for them that they do not have access to my rich inner world and the theater of my mind palace
