things to do to make ur life more enjoyable:

- don't listen to things people want u to do, just so what u want to, and don't be such a people pleaser ! it's nice to want to make sure others are comfortable, but u come first !

- either when u wake up, or before u go to bed, think of either things u want to happen, words that make u happy, or things that happened that day that made u happy !

- open up, keeping everything inside of u is going to go wrong after a while, its good to find that one person who u can just open up to, either irl or online.

- maybe a bit cliche, but drink enough, ive found that it really does make a difference in how tired i am, being dehydrated really puts a damper on ur mood !

- instead of being on ur phone when ur traveling or walking somewhere, sitting on a terrace or in a park, look around u, try to find unique things wherever u go, make memories about those unique things and take them with u when u leave that place !

Shifting Attention To Joy & Beauty A Decade Of Walking And Photography When I returned to photography a decade ago I noticed my photographs were of chipped paint, broken sidewalks, litter and petty vandalism. The world I was photographing mirrored the inner conflict and depression I was experiencing. Peeling paint can be beautiful but... Without being conscious of it I started photographing the very things I loved and admired. I live in a county of abundance. Abundance of people making the best of life. Growing organic, delicious fruits and vegetables. Conscientious ranchers, wine grape growers using sustainable, organic, soil enriching processes. Without knowing it I was photographing the best of life in my neighborhood. Often within walking distance. I slowly began to notice something about myself. I was feeling happy, positive about life and the potential for the future. People responded. There were more “likes” on my social media posts. Virtual friends recognized me and would say hello when I was out in public. Surprisingly too, people wanted and bought prints of my photographs. I was graciously invited to local events and eventually paid to document events.
