My next attempt, with magnetic nail polish on all nails. My right hand turned out better than the left. The learning curve is still there.

I realize now that magnetic polish has existed for a long time, but it's so fucking cool that you can make nail art without actually artistic ability or effort. My first time doing any nail polish in years so it's messy as shit, but the effect went well. It requires patience and following the technique, but that's still easier than trying to do fine detailing.

I used tape, a note book, and a hand weight to hold the magnet still so I could be patient with the technique without my hands getting so tired.

Today's polish goes out to @julcheninred for her birthday!!! 🥳🎉✨🎁🎂🎈🎊 Not only is she the reason I started making these manicure posts last year, but she's also the reason I got involved in fandom to begin with. She also happens to be one of the best friends I've ever had. 💖🐄💖🦖💖 I picked this color pink cause I know it's one she loves and this style of holo glitter reminded me of the crystals she has hanging in her window. This manicure was so much fun to do! It took a couple nails to get the hang of how to place the glitters and then I was in the zone. This definitely has me excited to do more involved glitter placement manis in the future. The glitters are Midge from Abomination Cosmetics, over The Last Hugs from Great Lakes Lacquer.

Gel overlay, natural length. Additional length was interfering with crochet, so I'm going baseline.
