Not sure how the lyoko warriors and the phantom theives wound up on justice Mabels side but they did.

Ladybug: what about Ben's group? Or the Danville group? Or the Amity park guys?

Guy: okay, Danny is neutral here, he's with Doc in Koboldia, but apparently Dipper bribed sam with some cryptid info, and Tucker is just rolling with it. Ben, Gwen, and Kevin threw their lot in with rebellion, but Lilo is staying out of it. Don't know where Stitch is, he went off the radar a while ago. The entire Danville group is just selling supplies, traps and weapons to both sides, enterprising huh? Minus the fireside girl who's also in the rebellion.

Ladybug: okay... any ideas? No roi, we are not joining justice mabel solely on the argument of you wanting to fight Gregory.

The Way Luka and Kagami handle their relationship with Adrien and Marinette

I didn’t know how to type that title, but this is something I noticed ever since Kagami and Luka were introduced, specifically in Frozer and Silencer- In Luka’s case. The way Kagami handles her “rivalry” with Marinette in wanting to win over Adrien’s affections, and how Luka deals with knowing Marinette’s crush on Adrien. I just needed to type this whole thing out.

Kagami

Now, this is more from what I’ve noticed in the Frozer episode. Kagami is more confident than Marinette, and she notices and knows it. She basically tells Marinette “You have a chance to tell him and you’re not taking it. If you don’t step up, I’m going to confess to him first.” Kagami isn’t hesitating like Marinette does, her target is Adrien and she is determined to get him first before Marinette, though in a way she’s still giving her a chance, pushing her to make a move.

I don’t really know what else to say concerning Kagami, sorry about that. I think it’s clear considering how much I wrote for Luka.

Luka

Honestly I have a lot more to say about Luka than I had to say about Kagami- I think I made it clear I adore him with all my heart. Luka’s approach is much more mellow compared to Kagami’s. Ever since Frozer, and especially Silencer, we know that he is in love with Marinette, ever since they first met in Captain Hardrock. He confesses to her as an Akuma, and as himself, in Silencer. A scene that pretty much shook the entire goddamn fandom. But he knows that Marinette has a crush on Adrien. He shows this at the end of Frozer when he tells her to go after him, smiling at her. He loves her, but respects her and is alright if she has a crush on someone else. Her happiness is important to him. I mean, we all saw how he reacted to Marinette being threatened by Bob, oops I mean human filth. He was e x t r e m e l y pissed off. Marinette’s happiness is clearly important to him, he wants her to be happy and doesn’t like it when she’s threatened. Even with this in mind, he still does confess to her at the end of Silencer. From what I get from all this, Luka is still holding onto a little glimmer of hope. He’s perfectly fine if Marinette ends up dating Adrien, he’ll be happy for her and accept it. But he still lets her know that he still loves her, and that he won’t push her to accept him or his love. If theres still a little bit of hope, then he’ll cling to it, in hopes one day he and Marinette can be a couple. He’s fine with either outcome.

This actually reminded me of a character from my childhood show, “Code Lyoko”, another French animated tv show. Luka reminds me of the character William Dunbar. He’s in love with one of the main characters named Yumi, but another main character named Ulrich also loves Yumi. It’s kind of a rivalry between the two, but William said that he isn’t a problem to Ulrich at the moment. He’s willing to let Ulrich have a chance with Yumi, but he knows he himself still has a chance. He tells Ulrich that sooner or later he’s going to step up and ask Yumi out, then he’ll be a problem. But, he’s willing to accept it if Ulrich and Yumi become a couple. Actually, William could be compared with both Luka and Kagami because of this, seeing as he’s giving a potential love interest a chance with his crush, but will step in at some point.

Kagami will step up to confess to Adrien of Marinette wont, while Luka is more laid back and will accept either outcome. This was just something I wanted to share with everyone. If anyone has anything to add to this I would love to hear it.

You know, this whole "will they or won't they" trope won't work in Miraculous Ladybug because Thomas literally did the exact same thing in Code Lyoko. No, I'm dead serious. When he did some episodes in Code Lyoko focusing on relationships, he used two characters as the main punching bags for this trope. For those who don't know and don't remember, Code Lyoko is a show that came out in the early 2000s that revolved around a group of middle schoolers trying to save the world from a demonic artificial intellegence. Yumi Ishiyama and Ulrich Stern were the main victims of the bad writing and the trope. Now, they actually do have chemistry. You could look at them and tell that they do. Hell, everyone wanted them together, including their friends. But every time they seem to have a development, hell almost trying to kiss, they degress with their progress. Ulrich was the Nice Guy of the toxic relationship between the two and would throw tantrums at Yumi if she wasn't paying attention to him. He'd have unreasonable jealousy issues when she has something else to do or when she hangs out with a different guy. And then they turn around and mame Yumi jealous when she sees Ulrich hanging out with a friend that happens to be a girl. They both constantly butt heads with each other due to irrational jealousy and constant miscommunication. It's come to a point that at the season finale of season two, Yumi wants to tell Ulrich something and it makes him antsy all day. Yumi, being the more mature one, tells Ulrich that their relationship is toxic due to getting jealous over each other and constantly accusing each other. So in the end, Yumi tells Ulrich that they should just remain friends and nothing more because of the toxicity. Then of course, Ulrich starts giving Yumi the silent treatment because of her decision and gets passive aggressive about it. He even let his salty feelings get in the way during his mission of helping Aelita until Yumi devirtualizes. You'd think that after Yumi telling Ulrich that they just need to remain friends would make them steer clear of the whole will they or won't they trope? NOPE. The writers throw in William Dunbar, a bad boy that got expelled from his previous school. He quickly befriends Yumi and grows to have feelings for her. Ulrich gets pissed about it and gets constantly jealous over seeing Yumi and William hanging out with each other. Then they get turned into a love-triangle situation about whether Yumi will choose Ulrich or William. Both boys start a pissing competition about it and even William told Ulrich to get his shit together or else he'll confess to Yumi and Ulrich will lose her forever. This love-triangle and will they or won't they goes on for the last two seasons. They even do the "just friends" trope throughout the last two seasons. In the end, Yumi and Ulrich never end up together even though they clearly have deep feelings for each other that was never fully fleshed out. This is why I'm frustrated with Miraculous Ladybug's almost non-existent development with Marinette and Adrien's romantic relationship. The bullshit with Yumi and Ulrich is happening again almost thirteen years later with Marinette and Adrien. Marinette is Yumi. Adrien is Ulrich. Kagami (is a hint of Sissi, another girl that wants Ulrich's affections and competes with Yumi) and Luka are a mix of William. The only difference between the two shows is that Adrien is so damn dense it's not funny anymore and Marinette gets shitted on for even having such passionate feelings for Adrien. The will they or won't they with Yumi and Ulrich failed. It crashed and burned hard and because of it, people turned away from the show for a bit and hated Yumi and Ulrich due to their shitty writing. And I'm seeing it happen again years later with Marinette and Adrien. Sure they're endgame but their relationship will crash and burn if Thomas and the other writers will continue the same path. And that is why we're frustrated. It's been done before and it's happening again by the same man who worked on Code Lyoko.

Astruc copied another cartoon to make ml, i am of course talking about Code Lyoko.

For those who don’t know, Code Lyoko is a pretty popular french cartoon (even more since Netflix has it) created in 2003, pretty well-made for the time, its popularity is also due to the fact that it was also dubbed in english as well the day it was released.

Now to why I think it was copied, well some reasons can seem stupid but putting it altogether make it quiet a lot so let’s start !

in first we can go with.... THE BULLY ! 

Indeed, Chloé Bourgeois is quiet a lot like Elisabeth “Sissi” Delmas, both have their dad in a position of power, the mayor of Paris for Chloé and the headmaster of the school for Sissi. They both like to use their dad as a threat toward people, have a crush on one of the main characters and just act the same causing issues to the heroes. The main difference is that... Despite their relationship with Sissi, we can see her redeeming herself several times through the serie. (Point for Code Lyoko !)

(Also don’t you think that both headmasters look a bit alike ?)

Second, THE ANTAGONIST !

While we don’t really know anything about XANA’s motivation and can only guess. BUT ! His way to attack is controling thing or people. Isn’t it familiar ? Yeah I thought so too. Oddly enough even if he always attacked thanks to electricity dude never attacked the same way twice (or that i remember anyway so...) (Another point for Code Lyoko !) (Bonus point for working WITH the 

Now.... about our main characters !

Let’s start with Yumi and Kagami; Badass japonese girls that keep their head clears and is the mature one. Do I need to say more ?

Aelita and Marinette : Only one who can stop the antagonist properly.

What else ? Oh yeah BLONDE CATBOY WHO LIKES PUNS !

And calls the main protagonist “Princess”. 

Should I keep going ? Mmh i guess so...

William and Kagami confronted to a love rival reacting the same way.

Odd and Luka being the artsy boy in love with the main protagonist but backing down since she’s in love with somebody else but still always there for her.

A way for every damage to disappear too...

I could keep going but maybe it's enough...

For the reminder despite my love for Miraculous... Code Lyoko wins this one.

I mostly meant for the crossover since they're in France too and I can imagine them giving the rabbit and snake users mild headaches. Like they're not affected by the lyoko flashbacks but they regularly get that little twitch that someone nearby has been fucking with time and they can't tell where it's coming from.

But yeah reboots are very mixed bags depending on who is at the wheel. Like you can never tell when you're going to get a she-ra level reboot and when you're going to get a powerpuff girls level reboot.

Oh yeah I do have Code Lyoko in The Crossover.

Their resets do /technically/ effect Paris, but Team Miraculous mostly isn't aware of it because that's its own thing and they don't remember it happening.

Alix and Luka get weird vibes whenever it happens, and they have looked into it and basically come to 'other people are using Time Shit, but it's not our problem here'. and leave it alone.

Im just saying Luka turning into a villain might not be so farfetched.

1. Knows how the wish works thanks to Sass

2. Knows Ladybug's and Chat noir's secret identities

3. Has basically abandoned his whole bit on the truth and has gotten unnervingly comfortable with lying

4. He got that William energy (Code lyoko reference)

5. Has yet to emotionally move on from his feelings for Marinette and when people have unresolved feelings (it usually ends up like Gabriel)

Imagine Code Lyoko, but with Juleka, Adrien, Kagami, Luka, and Rose. I’m sure you can guess what role goes to who(Rose is naive but smart and so is Aelita, so I will say that)
