watching Riz and Fig finding out there’s extra-planar material in the soil at Ragh’s old house and Ally says “so this has been going on” and it made me think: what was the spring break project for the Rat Grinders?
because they were fine and happy and the High-Five Heroes and then suddenly at the end of the school year (after spring break) Lucy wants to change her god and now Lucy is dead and all this stuff is happening and Kipperlilly is mad about the rules “favoring some students over others.”
What was your project Kipperlilly? What did the school ask you to do? And is this quest of rage in service to it or in spite of it?

VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALASTOR TO LUCIFER FANS
I need like… an official body count on how many people were totally obsessed with Alastor, but switched over to Lucifer in his whole 2 appearances because he’s just that good.
It just seems like a commonly shared phenomenon that I’ve been seeing floating around (it happened to me) and I am beyond curious as to how many of us there actually are. And, more importantly… what was the moment that they converted?
For me personally the first sentence out of this little fucker’s mouth stole my heart because fuming Jeremy Jordan, enough said.
And then it only got worse…

So I've been rewatching a lot of period dramas lately and this got me thinking, Arthur's clearly from the upper class, but does the book ever actually specify what his title refers to? Viscount, baron, etc...? And Lucy's a socialite and would therefore be some kind of aristocrat, but I don't think the book ever gives specifics on her family background either, but correct me if I'm wrong! And while I'm at it, would the rest of the Crew be considered middle or working class?
Hmm, so I am definitely not one who has the best grasp of all these nuances myself, so I happily welcome any others who know more and want to correct me or add in what they know! That said, here's what I think...
Arthur is repeatedly referred to as 'Lord Godalming', at least once his father dies. That means he is officially a 'peer', a member of the House of Lords. There's several different ranks within this category though, and based on title alone he could be most of them (since most were commonly called 'Lord'). I found a post talking about the peerage for the context of the Sherlock Holmes stories which I think is pretty easy to understand, especially the little table of titles/roles.
Going off that source, it says that "all children of viscounts and barons were called the Honourable;" and when Jonathan is talking to Mitchell, Sons, & Candy the guy says this: "We once carried out a small matter of renting some chambers for him when he was the Honourable Arthur Holmwood." That would suggest that Art is either a viscount or a baron. Of the two I would lean towards viscount, simply because I think he is in the upper half of the hierarchy based on the way side characters tend to react to him. I don't know if there was ever any leeway to call the eldest/only son of an earl by that title, but if so then I kinda want him to be that, purely because it is the British equivalent of a count, and that would be a really neat tie-in to the various ways Arthur is contrasted to Dracula as good/bad nobility. (I could talk more on that but it probably deserves to be a separate post.) Admittedly I don't know enough about the nuance of relationships between different classes to know how high up the ladder he can go before his association with the others here would start raising eyebrows, but I like the idea a lot.
Arthur is the only character other than Dracula to get a (non-academic) title, so I don't think any of the other characters would be part of the peerage. However, I do think Quincey is very rich and probably of somewhat equivalent status for an American. I think Lucy is probably not officially there, because otherwise I feel like either she or Mrs. Westerna would have been addressed as 'lady' at some point, if only by people meeting them for the first time or who don't know them well. However, she's definitely of a social class where he association with Arthur is very acceptable, so she had to have been well-off. I imagine her from a well-established family who might not have a title but is still certainly part of the respectable crowd. Or if she did have a rank it would be lower but not outrageously so.
I think Jack would also be pretty equivalent to Lucy, since she introduces him as "well off, and of good birth" and his close association with both Arthur and Quincey would suggest he is certainly respectable enough to hang out with them/propose to the same woman. Lucy suggesting him as a possible option for Mina to marry if it weren't for Jonathan suggests that Mina might also have a nicer family background (as does, potentially, her friendship with Lucy). But if so, then her current status as orphan who works for a living and expects to have to make ends meet with Jonathan suggests that her family must have fallen on hard times and whatever respectability there was to her name is more lingering compared to the reality of her current situation. That's my best guess, but honestly it's kinda tricky to figure out and other people who know more about the time have been confused too.
I think Jonathan is definitely of the lowest class amongst our main cast. You can see this reflected as well in how they tend to address him more casually ("Harker") while he uses some form of title when speaking to the others ("Dr. Van Helsing, Lord Godalming, Dr. Seward, Mr. Morris"). He doesn't speak of his parents much, but we know he worked for Mr. Hawkins from a fairly young age, and started out as a clerk until recently, which was not a particularly well-paying job. I think he and Mina would be considered on the lower end of middle class - at least before they inherited everything Mr. Hawkins had, which it sounds like is a comfortable existence if not the extravagances that other characters would be more used to. That might bring them up closer to some of the other nontitled people, though not as high.

Chenford + you matter more (Post 5.12)
She falls back on her pillow, breathless and feeling as light as a feather. She tries to remember the last time she's felt this perfect after sex and her thoughts turn empty.
Tim rolls on top of her again, placing both his arms at either side of her head and leaning in to take her lips in yet another kiss. For a moment all she can hear is the deep breath she takes and their lips smacking, all she can feel is her chest arching into his.
He pulls back only a few inches and looks into her eyes. She places her palm softly on his cheek and he leans into it, leaving a soft kiss on her wrist. She stares at him, not remembering ever being loved like that. Ever loving someone like that.
His other hand slides down her thigh and she can't believe she wants more already. She arches her knee at his touch and hears a low sound deep in his throat.
They end up having two more rounds.
In the morning, she wakes up with her head propped on his chest, his arm around her, tangled with her hair. She only half-opens her eyes, closes them and smiles, a content sound coming from deep in her throat, rasped from the rawness of the morning. She shifts her legs and adjusts herself better into the shape of his embrace. He moves as well under her weight and she realizes that he is awake.
Her smile turns into a grin and as she turns her head upwards, it's reflected on his own lips. His eyes are half-open and raw from sleep. She props herself on her elbows and crawls upwards, so that her gaze levels his, her hair falling all over. His hands readjust onto her waist to support her new position.
"Good morning," she whispers.
His eyes become glazed. He lifts a little off the mattress and places a peck on her lips. "Good morning. Sleep well?"
"Like a bird. Though I could wish for a few more hours."
He smiles. "Me too."
She lifts her eyebrow. "Really? Cause you didn't seem exhausted at all last night."
His smile broadens. "You, on the other hand, were pretty exhausted."
She tilts her head in question.
"You snored," he explains.
Her eyes widen. "Did not!"
"You did. It was pretty loud."
She catches the playful light in his eyes and pokes him.
"You're a lying liar who lies!"
"Ow!" he mouths.
She tilts her head and flicks her eyebrows at him. He gives her an incredulous gaze before, suddenly, starts tickling her. She squeals and then starts giggling, as he rolls her over onto the mattress and climbs on top of her.
"Tim!" she yells amidst laughing.
When he stops, they're left staring into each other's eyes, their expression slowly turning sober. His gaze falters to her lips and she really wants to spend the rest of the morning rolling under the covers with him, but for one thing, she must have a bad breath, and for another, these few minutes is all she's going to have today to continue their discussion from yesterday. Because yes, there was no sense in arguing about it last night, when other, more essential needs demaned fulfilling. But now that the thirst is quelled a little, she wants to raise the subject again.
"Tim?" she starts.
He sees the seriousness in her eyes and inches backwards. "Something wrong?"
"Look, I know how much this job matters to you, and you might not realize it now, but you're going to resent me later, when—"
She's interrupted by his finger landing on her lips.
"Shhh," he says. "You matter more."
She can't help the smile that teases her lips, but she won't lose the argument yet.
"But—" she mumbles.
"Lucy, it's not going to be permanent. Besides, it might be a good change in pace for me to have a less stressful position for a while. It's been long since I've had a vacation from patrol."
She stays silent, waiting for him to lift off his finger. As soon as he does, she fires on.
"You are such a bad liar! We both know that you hate desk jobs. No, wait—" she puts her palm up, as he opens his mouth to protest. "It's going to be worse if you try to hide your true feelings about this just so you don't upset me. If we want this to work, we'll have to promise to be open about how we feel and not lie to each other."
Tim sighs.
"Promise me," she insists, pressing her palm on his chest.
Tim covers her fingers and nods. "I promise."
"Well?"
He rolls his eyes. "Alright, I admit that it's not my dream job, but baby, it doesn't matter. I don't care as long as I get to be with you."
She's lost all her power in this argument the minute he called her that term of endearment.
Her lips press into a smile. "Did you just call me baby?"
He grins. "Yeah."
She gives him a flirty look. "I kinda liked it."
His grin broadens and for a moment, her eyes are lost in the love she sees in his expression. She doesn't remember ever seeing him happy like this. And it still feels surreal to her that she's the reason behind it.
Tim's expression slowly sobers up as he leans into her ear and whispers, "You matter more, baby."

I’m watching 5x04 at the moment, and I’ve been paying closer attention to Tim (and Lucy) during the episode…
And the worry on this stupid man’s face the whole freakin time 😭 and he keeps looking at Lucy like he’s checking that she’s okay.
Like so far this whole episode, he’s just got this look on his face and he keeps making subtle glances in Lucy’s direction.
And I am so emo right now 😭
Eric really said “Rosalind episode? Bet. Watch me make Tim the ultimate Lucy protector without any words” 😂
I haven't rewatched that episode since it aired so I'm writing from memory (on a side note, I seriously need to start my s5 rewatch…).
But yes, those looks… *screaming internally* The worry, the pining… Like the one in the shop, where he subtly tries to check on how she's doing without drawing attention to her, knowing that she would probably hate that… Or the one they exchange when Lucy panics after Bailey asks her where Nolan is and Tim is right there to take over for her… 'Just be a friend. And if you need a cop, tag me in'… And, of course, the one when he is being lowered to the basement… That moment is just exquisite. The love, the longing, the fear… So much emotions… And I'm emo too now!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But for all those little moments, I still felt let down on the Chenford front in that episode. I get that this was rushed due to what was going on behind the scenes with the actress playing Rosalind… But I guess I wanted and needed more emotions, if that makes any sense? That storyline in regards to Lucy and Tim has always been so poignant and it didn't entirely deliver.
It probably didn't help that it happened right when they were stuck in that limbo. It's a tough act to balance his desire to be there for her with the awkwardness between them, the guilt… So I understand that Tim couldn't be as explicitly supportive and protective as before. Like when he gave her back her ring. Or when he was being the Fierce Protector at the prison. And in a way, it offered the perfect contrast to 5.01, in the sense that you could imagine how hard this must have been for them not to reach out to the other. For Lucy not to have anyone to ground her. For Tim not to be able to comfort her. And that's why I wished we saw more of that struggle. How adrift they probably felt. Those looks were great, but something was still missing. Like, I don't know, Tim about to grab Lucy's hand before stopping himself because he doesnt know if he can do this now… Same with Lucy… They share this history with Rosalind and I didn't think it was properly acknowledged.
And then, there's that last scene that kind of bothered me. The way Tim barely reacted to Lucy's turmoil and conflicted emotions at seeing Rosalind's dead body… I need to rewatch it to be certain, but I remember feeling a bit put out by it. I still can't believe that no one asked her how she was doing… The fact that this felt unfinished and rushed didn't help. (Though when I see what they did to Nolan and Bailey in that episode and how her trauma was not only brushed off, but turned into a joke one episode later, I'm actually happy with what we got lol).

{ STATIC AND THE CRACKLING SOUND OF AN ELECTRICAL FIRE FOLLOWED BY HORRID SCREAMING IS HEARD}
—————————-
All the TV’s in hell are suddenly turned on and hacked into , in the middle of the screen is the King of Hell himself , sitting cross legged on the news desk , beside him is a screaming Tom Trench is shown slowly roasting over an open fire while tied to a spit by live wires and being zapped repeatedly with electricity .
All you can see of Katie Killjoy is her convulsing arm as her screams fill the air . In the background the studio itself is on fire and the sounds of Demons and sinners trying and failing to escape are heard.
“Quiet on the set now please ..” Lucifer snaps his fingers and ‘Mutes’ the two news anchors although you can still see them screaming .
“Technology is so tricky sometimes maybe I should’ve invited Vox with me here to witness this— Oh shit looks like we’re live ! Haha!” He laughs.
His eyes are red with yellow pupils , his horns and flaming crown are visible as his tail happily lashes from side to side , there is a deep growl in his voice as he speaks .
“Hello my lovely Hellborn and you sinners as well~ I know I know it’s been a while since I’ve made any kinda statement or well appearance in general .. “ he actually looks a bit sheepish at that , “oops~ but in any case I’m here cause there seems to be some unsavory Rumors being spread about my personal life and while normal I’m above you all in having that affect me , when it involves one of me and my Sins well… “
The sound of a wall collapsing is heard .
“Anywho I’ve come to put all that to rest Beezlebub and I are NOT engaged and are NOT dating we were just scamming some dumb human souls out of food and drink the usual , you would think a proper journalism station would do their research and not just run wild with baseless accounts from lowly Hellhounds ~ but that’s the 666 news for ya~ “ he laughed .
“Ain’t that right Tom? — hmm oh you passed out that’s lame “ He poked the burnt Co anchor with the tip of his claw . “Well that’s all for now folks ~ till next time~•” the camera short-circuited and Melted as the flames overtook the screen.

Chenford + fight about their relationship
Hey anon -
Thanks for the request! You probably wanted something canon-adjacent for this but I recently wrote a Chenford fight scene in "Some things are more important" (STAMI) that I'm proud of. If you haven't read STAMI -- All you really need to know going into this scene is that (in the previous chapters) Lucy transferred to Hollywood and attended UC school after Chenford got together. While Lucy was away at school, Tim went undercover to help on an op related to Jake / Sava and got stabbed -- and then he downplayed it A LOT to Lucy. Hope you like it!
Tumblr media
Tim rounded the corner to the squad room and found Lucy standing with Grey, her arms crossed across her chest. Despite the tension radiating off her body, he broke out into a smile. He wasn’t expecting her back for another day.
“What are you doing here?” Tim asked, leaning down to kiss her cheek. She let him, but he felt how tight her jaw was when his lips met her skin.
“To ask you the same thing,” Lucy said with fire in her eyes. “I just asked Grey if you’re riding a desk and he said no. You are not ready to be back in the field. You need to let that heal.”
She pointed to his stomach.
This was not how he expected their reunion to go.
“Are you barking out orders now?” Tim joked lightheartedly. “Last time I checked, I was the sergeant. Not you.”
Grey let out a low whistle and focused on a spot on the ground.
Lucy narrowed her gaze.
“Fine,” Lucy stuck her hands on her hips. “Let’s hit the gym first and you can prove to me you’re fit for duty.”
“You’re going to put me through a workout?” Tim asked, raising his eyebrows.
“I’m going to spar you,” Lucy told him.
“I am not sparring you, Lucy,” Tim replied incredulously and crossed his arms.
“Are you saying you’re not up for the challenge?” Lucy smirked, tilting her head to the side.
“Of course I am,” Tim rebuffed. “I wouldn’t be back unless I was.”
“Ok. How about we make a deal: if you can take me down without popping a stitch, you can work today,” Lucy shrugged confidently. “If there is even a drop of blood, you go home and continue recovering. And you don’t come back until your stitches are out.”
Tim looked over at Grey who was finally meeting his gaze.
“You know I agree with Chen,” Grey laughed. “I told you as soon as I saw you that you shouldn’t be back yet.”
“So you called her?” Tim accused.
“I did no such thing,” Grey asserted, his face full of amusement.
Tamara. Tim rolled his eyes. He should have known after those big sad eyes she’d given him yesterday morning.
“Fine,” Tim conceded with a sigh. “But after roll call.”
“Works for me,” Lucy agreed with a smug grin.
He was definitely not going down without a fight.
* * *
“I thought you had your last set of classes today.” Tim bent down to tie his laces, doing his best to hide a grimace. This was going to be brutal.
Lucy had stood at the back of roll call with Angela and Nyla, glaring at him the entire time. Every single person in the room noticed. She hadn’t been to a dayshift roll call at Midwilshire in six months. Between the jabs Smitty was making under his breath and the hardly concealed laughs of Nolan, Webb, and Thorsen, he’d barely made it to the end without blowing a gasket.
“It was just closing ceremony stuff so I booked an earlier flight to surprise you,” Lucy told him. “Imagine my surprise when I got home and Tamara told me you were going to work today.”
“Like I told Tamara, I was planning to take it easy,” Tim insisted. “Thorsen was going to do all the heavy lifting.”
“You know as well as I do that once you’re on the streets, you have no say in how easy the day will be.” Lucy stared him down, not ready to give him an inch. Behind the stubbornness, he could see the concern in her eyes.
“I’m fine,” Tim assured her.
“Stop stalling,” Lucy flicked her hand. “Get up.”
Tim stood and rolled his shoulders out to loosen up. He circled the mat, waiting for Lucy to charge.
She didn’t.
“What are you waiting for?” Lucy taunted. The corner of her mouth ticked up. “Take me down, Sarge.”
Tim went in low and Lucy spun, taking out his legs in one swift motion and ending up behind him. The next thing he knew, he was face down on the mat, and Lucy’s knee was pressed into his back.
“Too slow,” she said, a smile in her voice. She rose to her feet.
“What was that?” Tim asked, popping back up. Renewed energy surged through his body.
“What?” Lucy asked innocently. “You thought I spent four weeks at UC school sitting on my hands?”
“You’re teaching me that move,” Tim demanded with a proud grin and circled her again.
“Nah, I can’t give away any trade secrets.” She shot back, staying on the balls of her feet.
He switched things up and used a combo he hadn’t tried since his days in the military. She wasn’t expecting it and lost her footing.
This time, he was on top. He propped himself up just enough to avoid squishing her but relished the feeling of her warm body underneath his. Her eyes flickered to his lips and his mouth twitched into a satisfied grin that only grew when Lucy’s fingers edged under his shirt.
He took in a staggered breath and began to lower his mouth.
“I win,” Lucy whispered before dumping him off to the side.
“What?” Tim blinked and looked down at the fresh blood stain on his shirt. He lifted the performance fabric and sure enough, he’d popped a stitch.
Lucy sprung to her feet and held out a hand to help him up. He shook it off and she rolled her eyes at him. He tried to ignore the tug of another stitch pulling loose as he helped himself to his feet.
“Go get cleaned up,” she ordered. “We’re going to get your stitches fixed and then I’m taking you home.”
“I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself, Lucy.” He shot back, the pain from the oozing wound doing nothing for his temper.
“Ooookay.” Lucy’s voice was laced with sarcasm. “It’s time to reset some expectations. We need ground rules.”
“For what?” Tim asked.
“For how we do this,” Lucy motioned between her and Tim. “How we do our jobs and still be good partners to one another.”
“Oh, so now I’m not a good partner?” Tim asked with a wince, finally giving in to the stinging pain in his side.
Lucy grabbed a clean towel and softly dabbed it over the wound, which was now eagerly seeping into his shirt.
“I never said that,” Lucy tossed back, looking up at him with a sharp gaze as she pressed the towel firmly into his gut. “You know, I felt so guilty for going back under as Sava after I told you I was done with UC. And yet, I had the courtesy to call you beforehand and tell you how to get status reports. ”
“I never asked you to give up undercover work,” Tim reminded her. Irritation poured from his throat before he could stop it. “I told you to go to UC school, didn’t I?”
“You might have said the words, Tim, but your body language told me you didn’t want me to.” She crossed and uncrossed her arms in frustration when he stepped back so he could pace the length of the mat.
“I can’t win, then, can I?” He countered. “Either I’m supporting you wrong or I’m wrong in not supporting you.”
“This isn’t about winning anything,” Lucy shouted in frustration. “We already won. We have each other. This is about communication and how we’re going to be doing a whole lot more of it.”
“We are communicating,” Tim said sarcastically. He motioned between them and Lucy narrowed her eyes, clearly not amused by his joke.
“Okay, then tell me honestly,” Lucy said and swallowed. “Would you have dated me if I hadn’t said I was done with UC work?”
“Yes,” Tim said without hesitation. “How can you even ask me that?”
“Because I didn’t know the answer,” Lucy shot back. “Part of me has been waiting for the other shoe to drop ever since Jake showed back up in our lives.”
“What?” Tim shook his head. “I’ve been in love with you for–. Honestly, I don’t know exactly when it turned into love, but it was well before you and I started dating. And once we crossed that line...”
Tim paused, remembering when the switch flipped in his brain and he realized that he could have a future, no, share his future with Lucy.
When his eyes focused, he saw her watching him closely.
“There was no going back after that. Not for me” he confessed. “I am all in. Tell me you can see that.”
“I want to believe that,” Lucy pushed. “But you were disappointed–”
“No.” Tim shook his head. “I’m not disappointed in you, Lucy, I’m just terrified of losing you.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” Lucy said, her wide eyes pleading with him.
“We can’t promise each other that,” Tim said. “Our jobs are dangerous, that’s a fact. Things happen outside of our control every single day.”
“True,” Lucy conceded. “But there are still plenty of things within our control. You taught me that.”
He was at a loss for words.
She had him there. How many times had he told her that when she was a rookie?
“You didn’t tell me you were going undercover,” Lucy said calmly, “and you got hurt and you weren’t honest about how bad it was. Then you went back to work before it healed and if you’d hit those streets today, you would have been putting yourself at unnecessary risk, maybe even Aaron too.”
He took a deep breath. Fuck.
He hated to admit how right she was.
“I love you and I don’t want to lose you,” Lucy said, her voice growing thick. “And your actions worried me sick and made me feel like you don’t trust me to put you first.”
“No, Luce,” Tim shook his head. “I trusted you to do exactly that and I wanted you to finish school. You have so many doors open for you now and that was more important than my third career knife wound. I knew I’d be fine.”
“Tim, I need you to hear me when I say this.” Lucy walked over and grabbed his hands. “ You are more important.”
Tim was tongue-tied as he stared down at their joined hands before meeting her gaze. The earnesty he found there was almost enough to break him into a million pieces.
“You’ll always be my first priority,” Lucy rephrased. “I love this job but what we have will always matter more.”
He’d never been someone’s priority before. Not with his family growing up. Not with Isabel or the women that had come after her.
He felt the last ounce of fight leave his body.
“I didn’t want you to worry,” Tim explained, squeezing her hands gently. “You had enough on your plate.”
“I understand that but I need to be able to make that decision,” Lucy urged. “You can’t make it for me just like I can’t make it for you.”
He nodded.
“So, rule number one: we don’t lie about injuries.” Lucy dropped his hands so she could use her fingers to count off each rule.
“Ok,” Tim sighed.
“Rule number two: we always tell each other before we go undercover.” Lucy looked up at him, waiting for his acknowledgment.
“Yeah,” Tim agreed.
“Rule number three: our relationship comes first,” Lucy stated. “Whenever that is in doubt, we discuss it.”
“Deal,” Tim approved.
Lucy let out a satisfied breath and Tim felt his muscles start to relax one by one. They stared at each other as the seconds ticked by one by one on the old wall clock behind him.
What now?
“So… should we shake on it?” Tim asked.
A smile lifted at the edge of Lucy’s lips as he took a step toward her.
“Or…” His voice dropped and Lucy raised a brow as he skimmed his hand over the side of her hip, rubbing his thumb over the buttery fabric of her leggings. He loved her thighs in leggings.
“Or what?” She asked, sliding her hands up his chest.
“I haven’t seen you in weeks,” Tim murmured, swiping a loose strand of hair out of her face, “and I really want to kiss you.”
She waited.
He stared down at her, taking her in. He loved this woman. He loved her strength, her fire, her ability to break his brain with a simple phrase or the touch of her hand. He cupped the back of her head and tilted it back, brushing his thumb over the vein in her neck.
She rolled her eyes in frustration.
“Oh my god. Kiss me alread–”
He didn’t let her finish. Instead, he sucked the end of the sentence right out of her mouth along with the breath she’d been about to take.
She moaned into his kiss and for a second, he forgot he had an open wound. She had the unique ability to take away his pain with the touch of her lips.
God, he’d missed her.
He wrapped both arms around her waist and pulled her up until he could feel her heartbeat against his chest. Her arms looped around his neck and he felt her fingers grab hold of his hair.
He wanted nothing more than to tear off her clothes and make love to her on the mat, but the flickering light from the camera on the ceiling had Grey’s words ringing in his ear. There is no expectation of privacy in the police station.
And he liked his job. Right?
“Let’s go home,” he grumbled against her throat.
The sound that escaped Lucy seriously made him question whether he needed a job at all.
She cupped the sides of his face.
“Shower. Hospital. Home.” She managed to say between staggered breaths.
He nodded and rested his forehead against hers before lifting back up and kissing her softly.
“Okay,” he agreed.
She held out her hand and he laced his fingers through hers, following her out of the gym and toward the locker room.

Kate smile/laugh after the kiss when Lucy say "oh my god hush now", love when Tori does these small expressions 😍
That whole scene was a smorgasbord of Kate reactions, especially after they both realized they were on the same page.
Her relief and the adrenaline subsiding once she realized they weren't in a fight:

And being suddenly cocky and SUPER hot once she knows Lucy fully wants to move in too:

I think this is my favorite, though, this grin once Lucy goes in for a kiss and the matter can be considered truly settled:

And then the one you liked, her reaction after teasing Lucy:

Mina today like 😒🙄 anyway as I was saying, I could feel my husband who is Jonathan...
Oh man, imagine how offended she will feel when she eventually reads Van Helsing's memorandum and sees what he thought she was talking about. I don't think she noticed before, especially given how hilariously matter-of-fact she is about sensing Jonathan in this entry. But I can easily see her scoffing and kind of just tossing the memorandum down on the table in disgust at that part. Maybe leaving the room to go give Jonathan a kiss (in front of Van Helsing for extra measure) just because.
About her being so matter-of-fact today... It's funny actually, because when she's had premonitions about his condition despite physical separation in the past (thinking he's not on the water in Whitby, her fear to think of him/certainty he's not in danger soon after they part when hunting Dracula) she sounds a bit uncertain. But on November 5 (since both today and yesterday's entries occurred on that day), perhaps as she feels his presence getting closer, she drops any self-doubt or logical justifying in favor of utmost certainty.
"Let us go to meet my husband who is, I know, coming towards us."
"It was late in the afternoon when the Professor and I took our way towards the east whence I knew Jonathan was coming."
"The two men might be Dr. Seward and Mr. Morris. I knew at all events that neither of them was Jonathan. At the same time I knew that Jonathan was not far off; looking around I saw on the north side of the coming party two other men, riding at break-neck speed. One of them I knew was Jonathan, and the other I took, of course, to be Lord Godalming."
Look at all that knowing! She's not admitting any possibility of doubt at all. It's her husband (who, yes Professor, is of course Jonathan) who she senses and she knows exactly where he's coming from and which one is him. Sure, I guess you could say that she knows he's coming because they're all coming according to the plan, and she could recognize her husband even at such a distance because she knows him so well. But that doesn't really explain her certainty that Jonathan is close even before she sees him, or her consistent focus on only mentioning Jonathan when everyone else is coming towards them too.
And while it's a little less certain, there's even a moment in the middle of the battle where she seems to know he is safe (unlike Quincey sadly):
I should have felt terrible fear at seeing Jonathan in such danger, but that the ardour of battle must have been upon me as well as the rest of them; I felt no fear, but only a wild, surging desire to do something.
She says this just before Jonathan's approach sends the men cowering before him. In my mind it fits well with her certainty that he's in no danger when traveling on the ship, even though as far as they know he might have caught up to Dracula on the river and been in trouble. (In fact, after she says that he has a restful sleep.) It doesn't feel like too far a leap to say that Mina is so tuned in to Jonathan here that she can tell nothing will be happening to him.
If we harken back to early Whitby entries, where Mina woke when Lucy was in danger and felt deep worry about Jonathan, I think it's a lot easier to read as just her being a light sleeper and knowing her friend/husband well enough to tell if someone's off about their behavior or letters. But there's also a possible reading that she has always been a little bit psychic. Maybe she's only really tapped into that power since her attacks, when she was actively trying to use mental powers against Dracula, but at least some of it can be seen as inherently her own, which she's learned to use/trust/strengthen over the course of the book.
(Also, about that last quote - here's a fun theory. Maybe Mina does "do something" here. Maybe she psychically aids Jonathan somehow, helps him bring out the full pissed-off-vampire vibes to stare people down till they literally cannot stand in his way. That could be kind of fun, regardless of whether you assume Jonathan already is supernatural enough himself to do so and she's just helping him make use of it, or if you think she's loaning him some vampyness. ...Actually, I feel like the wafer circle around her should stop her doing any such thing via vampiric methods, so then it would have to be Mina using her normal psychic powers to bring out the full force of Jonathan's Supernatural Weirdness stolen from Dracula in order to protect him. Dunno that I believe it really but it's a cool idea I think.)
