Okay so another fic for the ever amazing and inspirational @spielzeugkaiser! That picture of Jaskier after giving birth alone inspired this fic because that was just so extremely emotionally juicy and I couldn’t resist dipping my toes back into the Lovechild AU. So please enjoy my latest addition to my series of fics based on parts of that particular AU :)

Summary:

He was never supposed to be a parent, especially never a single parent. He’d been so careful until he wasn’t. He’d never thought a witcher could get him pregnant, never thought he’d be so annoying that he’d push away the one person he thought would never get overwhelmed with him. He’d thought he’d found his person. Or at least some version of his person. If he couldn’t keep those relationships stable, how was he supposed to raise a baby?

It really wasn’t. Natural portals open all the time, and it wasn’t like he was the one driving! They were just testing out some new gear in the Zone, and the motorcycle was for Jazz so she needed to know how to use it! 

So really, it’s not his fault they’re stuck in another world until another portal opens, nor is it his fault that they’re getting chased by a bunch of yellow-eyed undead. No Tucker, they aren’t your friends just because they have gold-eyes too- and Sam please don’t ask the plants to stab them, they don’t need ghost gold-eyed creeps after them! 

So if it nears winter time before they find Jaskier, would Geralt take Milek to Kaer Morhen? Or does this timeline take dubious place after TW3 game, and ah, events have occurred?

Headcanon: Mr plant's main food/energy source is through photosynthesis through his petals, but he is also an omnivore, so in winter/times with no sunlight he can eat whatever he finds instead. But he gets less energy with physical food than he would with glucose for example.
