ONE SHOT - phoebe x reader - christmas cookies

“i think this one is perfect as her” phoebe held up a gingerbread. it was the smallest out of the batch you both made.
“for julien?” you looked up at phoebe. she grinned over at you. eyes twinkling with the bright light above. it was the middle of December at 5pm on a friday evening. the sun has already set. snow was falling outside. the small snowman both of you made was staring directly at you from beside the wall. lopsided smile made from stones. carrot slowly falling off its face as snow accumulated around it. you glanced back at phoebe who was piping black icing into a bag.
“it’d be funny! i think she’d like it”
“i think she’ll threaten to hit you with it” you teased, working on lucy’s hair. “how many did you do so far?”
“four” phoebe gestures to the decorated gingerbread men on the rack by the oven. “i wanna make one of you” she pulled her sleeves up, wiping away some leftover flour from her face. you shook your head, grabbing the small towel and wiping away the icing from phoebes nose. “thank you for helping me with these today, baby”
“i’m glad you trust me enough to measure ingredients” phoebe chuckled. “these turned out perfect. i thought it was going to flop.” she held up the finished julien cookie, excitedly showing you.
“not when i’m here. i’m the baking expert here. you want some more hot chocolate?” you moved past phoebe, taking out some of the instant hot chocolate making kit, your mom gifted you and phoebe early for christmas
phoebe nodded her head. humming softly to the christmas music playing from your phone. the kitchen was a mess. baking utensils littered the counter top. trays of gingerbread men, decorated to represent phoebe julien and lucy sat neatly on a baking tray. the smell of cinnamon, ginger and chocolate wafted through the air.
wrapping paper was spread out all over the kitchen table. gifts stacked one on top of the other with cards splattered around. it was a mess but the familiar nostalgia filled your chest. a warm christmas that’s what it was.
it reminds you of when you were a child. playing with your dolls in the living room by the christmas tree while your parents wrapped the gifts and your grandparents baked cookies. it was a sweet feeling. you were in that spot now. wrapping gifts for friends and family members.
phoebe made sure to make it very clear what wrapping paper belonged to what gift. “that doll set for your baby cousin? it goes with the pink wrapping paper- sit it on top so we don’t forget. your parents get this nice champagne gold coloured wrapping paper- lucy might like that rich blue one. we’re giving julien the kids one because she’s a child-“ “you’re stressing out too much about this, my love”
“honey?” you shook out of your thoughts, smiling over at phoebe who held up one of the cookies. “i made you!”
“did you?” you walked back over to phoebe, leaning your head on her shoulder, wrapping your arms around her waist. she was warm. she relaxed in your hold, giggling to herself. “i look different than the rest”
“i kinda fucked it up a bit”
“i can tell”
phoebe pouted as you chuckled, kissing her cheek. “it reminds me of an angle though. if you squint you can see the wings” phoebe squinted her eyes before a small grin appears on her face.
“it does- pfft” she smiled, turning around so her back was pressed against the counter. “- that’s what i was going for. that was the plan.” “really?” you teased, your hands finding their place on her hips. she leaned in to place a small kiss to your lips. “of course”
“why don’t we start cleaning up? we need to get started on wrapping the gifts” you broke away, grabbing the towel and turned on the sink, washing your hands under the tap.
“i’ll start wrapping. you can write the cards” phoebe wiped her hands with the towel, walking over to the table.
“on it. what are we doing this year? from reader and phoebe? from the two gays?” you questioned, making your way to the table, looking at the card before writing a small merry christmas message.
“from the wives.” phoebe looked up grinning. you looked at the small ring on your hand as you chuckled.
“yeah that sounds good. merry christmas and happy holidays. from the wives”
“it sounds very gay. i like it”

okay i see we’re sharing cats so here’s my girls. the tortie’s name is coco she’s 15 and technically my grandmas but i live with her and coco kind of instantly attached herself to me the second i moved in. shes large and sprawls out at night and does so in the middle of my bed so i’m reduced to the edge
the lynx point is named phoebe she’s 14 and she’s technically my moms and mine from before we moved in but my grandmas her favorite. she loves blankets even if they’re on the floor. if you put one on top of her she’ll start purring and won’t move for hours

Ria loves music from the sixties and seventies, with some of her favorite artists including ABBA, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan.
Though you wouldn’t expect it, Ria can be pretty petty at times - after Phoebe told her that one of her massage clients had groped her, Ria told her to let the guy come back for one last appointment - only for him to have to lie on the table Ria had covered in slime for a full hour because Phoebe had been instructed to pretend everything was fine.
Of course, being an English teacher, Ria has a great appreciation for the classics, especially Gothic novels, but she also really loves a good cheesy romance or riveting mystery.
Her love language is quality time, both for giving and receiving.
Joey and Phoebe love to call her Professor as a teasing nickname. She rolls her eyes at it, but the gesture is always accompanied by a fond smile.
She loves these sesame seed crackers that she gets from a convenience store a block away from her apartment building - she always keeps at least five packs of them in her pantry.
Her favorite color is lavender, both because she just likes the pretty soft look of it and because she looks really nice in it.
She’s not extremely superstitious, but she refuses to walk under any ladders and will always knock on wood for luck.
Even though she’s not a big jewelry person, Ria has a pair of pearl earrings from her abuilita given to her after the woman died that she always wears to important events - they’re pretty, and they make her feel closer to her grandmother.
Her first kiss, when she was fifteen, was actually with a girl. She’s never told anyone but Phoebe that, but it’s still a memory she cherishes.

prue i'm assigning black+white i feel like she rocks it for starters + it also represents her stubborn, professional, strict, perfectionist qualitys like normally for really strong i also like to go really saturated but she's just sooooooo........ ooh classy too. black & white 🖤🤍
piper i'm assigning maroon/rust/chesnut like that little lower range of the right dark colors they're passionate and strong and assertive with the appropriate amount of stubborn, but they also just offer this really warm earthy home tones just a certain protective gentle but consistent love to them you know? ❤️🧡
phoebe is pink in my head but also yellow. she has the feminitity of pink and the same brightness and love but also warm sunshiney spreading joyous glow of yellow. but flipside is the really saturated versions of the colors can get way too aggressive representing both her fighting spirit and her kind of more negative qualities of holding onto her own personal beliefs so loudly she drowns out others advice 💛🩷

BLURB - phoebe x reader - camping ft the boys
- reader hasent ever been camping before and phoebe finds this out and demands they go camping for the weekend. it’s as simple to ask the boys, of course they are in.
- it was a bit more harder to convince you. you never been camping and are a bit cautious and worried. mostly due to spiders and the thought of sleeping outside. god knows what could be out there
- “it’ll be fine! it’ll be great trust me!”
- it didn’t go well. arriving at the destination, it’s raining, it’s cold 😭 you just want to go back home to your warm bed but phoebe jumps out of the car with a big grin on her face like “LETS GET GOING” “but it’s raining” “a bit of rain can’t harm us!”
- setting up camp in the woods, letting julien and phoebe set up the tent, you and lucy unpacking everything from the trunk of the car. maybe letting phoebe work in the tent was a bad idea. when you can hear in the distance, muffled screaming from phoebe about losing a screw and frustrated sighs from julien
- coming back to find the tents are up (how you don’t know you’re not gonna question it) it’s cold, you’re tired and hungry. you drank all your coffee and you kinda regret wanting to go camping now. maybe if it was on a warmer day you’d be fine but not now.
- deciding to take a minute in the tent to unpack and set out all the tents, phoebe popping her head in like “we’re going for a hike cmon” and you scowling up at her like ☹️☹️☹️
- deciding to go along anyway. no way are you gonna be left alone in the woods by yourself. you go with the boys on a hike
- “do we have a map?” “no, i was thinking we just yolo it” “that’s…not how it works” julien opening her phone to boot up a map with a sigh but having no signal. she decides to lead the group, following the footpath trail
- phoebe sensing your anger/ tiredness / frustration and feeling a little guilty. holding your hand as the two of you trailed behind lucy and julien.
- getting lost on the trail, somewhere in the forest because phoebe said the path connected on the left. the path stopped back at the forest, where? nobody knows but it has you stressing. you’re lost in the woods, no signal, no tent. there could be bears of wolves.
- lucy and julien talking amongst themselves quietly trying to figure out a safe route back. phoebe wrapping you in a back hug, chin on your shoulder, pouting like a puppy “are you mad at me?” “yes.” “i’m sorry..” “baby we’re lost in the fucking woods”
- funny enough, lucy manages to find a longer but trusty route back to the entrance of the forest aka where the camp sights are. top it all off it starts to rain heavier. trying to rush back to the camp sight while soaked with the rain was not a good idea
- however it was a little funny when phoebe slipped from the wet mud. call it karma if you will. even if she was frowning like a kicked puppy, you still helped her up and made sure she was ok.
- back to the camp y’all made it. wet and tired, cold and hungry. drying off with the extra clothes you brought, opting to just stay in your pjs. julien was trying to light a fire from wood and stone. phoebe and lucy were preparing dinner.
- coming out of the tent to have dinner. you were kinda quiet. the boys sending the tension but not wanting to say anything. carrying on as normal, chatter and laughter surrounding the campfire. you end up joining in too, calming down a bit
- phoebe bringing out the guitar, singing some rounds of songs. it did help calm the anger and nerves. knowin you were safe with the boys.
- even when it was time for bed, you huddled close to phoebe. she was hugging you tightly, apologies spilling from her mouth. “you made up for it when you slipped on that rock”
