I'm not even kidding, it's terrible how much they invade my brain, like I'm always either thinking about them or drawing about them or saving pins on Pinterst about them (the board is getting pretty stuffed), everything i see is ORANGE at this point (it's my favorite color fortunately so I don't mind).

I know some of you might have other favorite characters in UT/DR, and that's completely fair, I myself didn't have a favorite for a long time since I loved them all.

..But can we all agree that Asriel/Flowey is the best character Toby has ever written until now?

Just everything about his tragic story and development, how in genocide we can see explained how he changed so much from a sweet little boy who just wanted to save everyone and who loved his family, to a sadistic, apathetic, and manipulative flower.

That, and the hints that Flowey is still Asriel no matter how hard he tries to deny it. He's done so many awful things, and has gone through so much and in the end he's just a scared, panicked, sad child who doesn't want to be alone.

I couldn't explain it too well I think, there are just so many things to love about him.

It's all just so, so good.

#obviously this is only to ut!Asriel #im sure dr!Asriel is gonna be great but he is gonna be a lot different without all this trauma the ut counterpart has smsjsk #another character who I would say can compete to the title of best written character by Toby would be sans or spamton #but sans has some bits a bit vague due to gaster and certain implications that he's actually from the dr universe and all that stuff so #and spamton just made me feel so many things with the short time he has #i was horrified but I also felt so sad and when he just broke I was in shock #but again I just think Asriel/Flowey is better #maybe becauss he has a lot more different aspects to him by almost being two different charscters in one and all that stuff #also the dreemurr tragedy is simply the most heartbreaking thing and definitely one of the best tragedies in video games #i will not change my mind #but tbh every character Toby has made has so many aspects to them I simply love it so so much #even in characters I dont like I can appreciate the writing!#cof cof King cof cof #Asriel #asriel dreemurr #ut asriel #undertale #deltarune #flowey #flowey the flower #ut flowey #toby fox #OH YEAH ALSO KRIS #Definitely a contender for future best character if we're all correct about them #but its too early to judge #they got big chances though

Gareth is not canonically short, in fact, the actor who plays Gareth is actually around the same height than Noah Schnapp, both are in the average height.

BUT he looks smaller besides the Corroded Coffin members and that’s why everyone thought that Gwydion was short, but he’s kinda not, just has the bad luck to have a lot of giant co workers 💀

#lmao #r*chard iii #my post #I think that's true for all usurpations and coups to an extent #but its 10x more applicable and accurate for Richard III #Not only because of the compressed length of time (a mere 3 months as opposed to years of back-and-forth tensions)#but also because ultimately one of the key reasons Richard could do what he did was because he did it from the heart of the political #institution (ie he was an internal threat rather than an external one)#and he was someone who was trusted and loved rather than mistrusted and hated. His betrayal was political but it also had far more personal #ramifications for everyone involved - most people simply did not expect it from him and cooperated with him precisely because of that #which enabled him to seize power before most people even realized what he was doing #And there's the fact that he actually did stage a conspiracy by accusing the Woodvilles of plotting to attack and ambush him #and produced weapons from his own war in Scotland as fake 'proof' - when in fact we know that HE deceived and ambushed THEM #there's also the (propagandic) lie that they usurped him from the position as Lord Protector when they certainly didn't #either Edward IV didn't appoint Richard Lord Protector meaning the Woodvilles denied him nothing #OR the council collectively chose to have a council rule during Edward V's minority rather than a Protector (something they were entirely #within their rights to do both socially and legally)#so claims that they wrongly defied Edward IV's last wishes or broke the law (which Mancini repeats in his account) must be seen as exactly #that - propagandic lies to vilify EW and her family #when in fact Richard was the one plotting a seizure of power - whether it was as Lord Protector or as King #(of course these are just two things - there's a whole laundry list of others)#so this is definitely applicable to him
