Pretty 5 is so beloved bc we have:
Arashi "I dream of being a beautiful woman and also had explicit attraction to girls and my male teacher" Narukami.
Tori "I'm in love with my unit leader but he's in an arranged marriage to my sister and I feel selfish for wishing it was me" Himemiya.
Mika "I'm going to live with my beloved partner in Paris as a direct parallel to the life his queer grandfather never got to have" Kagehira.
Hiyori "I'm a princess in the units with the most fanservice imaginable and almost kissed my partner in an mv 3 times" Tomoe.
And Aira "I blush over idol fanservice and am a tsundere towards my unit leader and enamored with my former online friend" Shiratori

Apologies for minor anime spoilers below but:
I do appreciate the fact that Edgerunners carries on the idea the game proposes; that cyberpsychosis isn't caused by the amount of things you install into yourself but by things like faulty/poorly-installed cyberware, stress and trauma, and other outside factors like your environment and your mental health. The trailers were making me a bit concerned that it was going to renege on that idea considering they were clearly setting up a more in-depth exploration of cyberpsychosis, but I think they do a good job of explaining that you can't just install heavy-duty military-grade metal into yourself and be done with it. You need medical care, medicine, time to adjust, time to heal. All things you can only get if you've got the money for it, and all things that can easily be taken away if that money suddenly disappears.

So I heard that recently, the creator of The Backyardigans, Janice Burgess, passed away.
I loved that show and it's characters ever since I was little, still do to this day, it was creative and fun, I still love watching my favorite episodes and listening to my favorite songs.
I made a couple of doodles of the characters at least last year, so I'll try to find them (I don't remember where they are ): )
I hope she knew how her show impacted so many of us, even beyond the USA, and I hope she's resting easy.
