thats tough bc every character has those ppl that get them utterly wrong; I have particular beef though with the "emet was right and hydaelyn was evil" crowd because it just. it glosses over everything Emet did and acts like what Hydaelyn had to do was the worstest ever amen how dare she, when its like. Both of these characters did what they thought was necessary, but there is a gulf of difference between "I would let billions die to bring my world back" and "I sundered the star to avert a far worse disaster"

I finally finished vol 9!!!!!! YAY

I literally loved this volume so much, prolly one of my favs actually.

Anyway back to the point,

WARNING I CANT KEEP MY FUCKING MOUTH SHUT SO THERE WILL BE A LOT OF SPOILERS HERE LMAO ⚠️

Back to the point,

-THEO THEO THEO. Back after vol 8, I genuinely thought he was gonna get a prosthetic or smth to let him continue to fight but I had no idea he was switching to a different regiment?!? Or maybe not even fighting in the war at all?!? I had to put the book down when we saw him for the first time in the book, tho Theo and his “uncles” relationship is so nice I’m glad he finally found someone other than the squad that he considers family.

-Kurena my beloved!!! The book was 90% about Kurena so I got to see her a lot. Which I thought would annoy me, but I enjoyed it a lot. It was nice to see her finally move on from her strange attachment to Shin, and I finally got to look in her head a little about her opinions about the war. Also, so many ppl confessed to her?! LMAO. She definitely girlbossed her way through this volume.

-The theocracy, as I already mentioned I thought was a Theo cult for a bit. Was rly interesting. Though I didn’t like Hilna for quite awhile, when Kurena compared herself to her I was like ohhhhhhhh. By the end of the volume, I was kinda worried for how things would turn out for her cause the theocracy is batshit crazy, but I think she’ll be fine….? Honestly the federacy should do more about the use of VERY small children to fight, not just focusing on the republic. Hilna in general was a very fleshes out character and she reacted how a very stressed child would in any situation lmao. Though her trying to take the 86 down with her a trashing on Lena pissed me off, she’s still in the 11-13 and that could’ve been any of the 86 in her place actions wise.

-Shin’s whole god of death thing was so funny to me and I don’t know why 💀 Fr Shin’s getting so many titles like unbroken blade, reaper, Lena’s boyfriend and now GOD OF DEATH. Still waiting for more of Lena’s rep to grow tho, so they can be The Bloody Queen and her reaper or smth #couplegoals

-SPEAKING OF COUPLE GOALS, SHINLENA IN ALL THE SCENESSSSSSS. Lena finally fucking confessed to Shin, and it was beautiful *wipes away tear* Both Shin and Lena are so dramatic in their confessions and I love that for them. +Shin crying around Lena?!?! He hasn’t cried since volume one and it just so precious that he trusts her that much to cry around her. ++They’ve started to teases each other, and surprisingly Lena can hold her own which I find rly funny 😂

-The nobles in the federacy have to much to unpack tbh. Svenja was a little…prideful but yknow she has a reason for that so I’ll give it a pass ig. So proud of Frederica though, she didn’t hesitate to yell at anyone in the vol like the Queen she is ( in the figurative and literal sense ) Older nobles tho, hate them. They control the publicity and seem to have a rly large influence that just makes me worry for Shin if the war ends that he’ll have to deal with that crap.

-Also most of the 86 moved on from depression! Yay! Shin may have started the whole I don’t wanna be left behind thing, and it sent a domino affect with the rest of them cause Shin is great like that ( cept Raiden maybe but that’s a death flag I don’t wanna look at ) Seeing them finally want the war to end is great, but with the counteroffensive starting next vol, I’m worried a lot of them will die like raiden and I’m already emotionally damaged from Shana’s death and Shidennnnnn😭. Overall the 86 have all become normal with the exception of their borderline stalkery involvement in every one of ShinLena’s interactions. Which either says that they have nothing better to do, or are ignoring how desperately single they are ( looking at u Anju )+ everyone hates Dustin now and idk why lmao

It was overall a super amazing volume! And I’m not sure I’m ready for the possible depression that will come with volume 10, but I have the anime to keep me alive, so crossing my fingers!

I'm faking myself and good at keeping my emotions under control, I'm really adaptable(sometimes full-stoic, other times talkative) too. I HATE showing weaknesses, I'm hiding them from even people I love, I simply can't stand emotional vulnerability. Making me talk about my issues, problems? Nearly impossible.

I have a kind of unapproachable, 'emotions ew' vibes, but I have a softie side who adores cuddling and giving love, affection to people - it's kind of a selfish coping mechanism for me at the same time, bc the feeling being needed is incredibly comforting for me - so I it's a mania, an inner-pressure for me to be a reliable figure. Also, I can be just a dumb idiot and loosen up with my little gang if I'm in the mood. Once my close friend told me that I'm an unpredictable person. I need a lot of alone time&space.

I'm also vain, snobbish, pro procastrinator, lazy and selfish just to mention some negative traits. I have massive self-hatred spirals, thinking I am a burden, unworthy for love, useless on my bad days; slight imposter syndrome I guess.

Hello:)

Now i cannot speak for the UK, and their government strategy for vaccine etc. But i can for Norway, to sort give a more example of the other side i think?

So in Norway, things are opening up for the people that has both doses of the vaccine. For Norway the vaccine is not to stop spread. Its to keep hospitalizaion down, and to stop the health care system from collapsing like it did in Sweden, Italy and Spain (just to mention some countries). A lot of our experts on covid etc are saying that the vaccine is to help us getting less sick, so that those that will get super sick (even with vaccine) can get the proper help they need.

This birthday party was not the smartest thing to happen right now, and yes cases are rising like hell all over the world thanks to that stupid deltavariant. Actions have consquenes, and i hope that the CCs knows this. My dad always tells me "it is your choice, but you have to take the consequenses of that choice wether it is bad or not"

I respect that fans, stans, and people in general are dissapointed in their fave CCs going to such a party (i am aswell), and people should be allowed to voice their own opinion on matters like this.

I just wanna say first-off that I really appreciate you talking to me abt it. Like no one's obligated to, obviously, but I'm always told that it seems like all opinions are welcome here (because I consciously try to foster that kind of environment !) but this one drove like 10 people away without comment lmao. I warned y'all ! I really did !

Second, yeah. I know for a fact that my perspective - American, in proximity to highly at-risk people (as in, ones who will more than likely be hospitalized if they do get it, regardless of their vaccinations) + already a hypochondriac - skews my opinions. I know that I got kinda ahhh about it (but in my defense I said that I likely would) and I'm sorry about that.

I know that the vaccine ultimately is to level-out the virus itself to be in the same vein as the flu (or something like that, don't quote me) and while it's definitely terrifying it's something to factor in regarding this situation. They looked at the information they had and made the decision they did - even if I was 100% all-in on them being shitty (which I'm not) - I wouldn't expect them to listen to me or anything like that. I'm just putting how I feel onto Tumblr. It's gonna be unbased sometimes ahrjgnf.

Third, thank you for the compliments :') I'm always more than happy to chill with ppl who disagree with me in any capacity and I try to make that clear but I know that some people don't feel that way. Sorry I'm really awkward when people are being nice but it's really great to have you around <3

diaiduahs ok so i debated with myself whether or not to answer this question for like 0.3 seconds before i realized that wait a minute, i have never shut the fuck up about what i think ever in my life. who am i kidding. but anyway fair warning that my opinion on lydia is pretty unpopular among "both sides" of that debate (i don't think there are ever just two sides to any issue but anyway)

also warning that i'm not dissing you or your ask in particular, just giving my opinion based on what i've seen and heard on this debate in the fandom

here's the thing. i don't think she did wrong by accepting alec's marriage proposal. i wouldn't say she did right either, in my opinion her choice was pretty morally neutral

because it would have been different if alec had no choice on the matter and she chose it knowing it would make him miserable. but that's not what happened at all

alec did have a choice. in fact, the fact that he proposed to lydia was something that made his parents (who are the main responsibles for his closeting) fucking pissed. he wasn't doing it to please them; he was doing it as part of his own plan

and again, don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that this wasn't extremely traumatic and awful to him. he wouldn't have even considered it if it weren't for the awful conditions of his closeting and abuse, and he would have been miserable for the rest of his life. but alec had agency. he wasn't helpless. he was making a decision based on the shit conditions that he was in, trying to ensure his own safety and success. the conditions were horrible, but every decision we make is based on the environment we are in. and acting as if lydia was somehow forcing him into this marriage is acting as if alec didn't have autonomy to make his own choices, which i think is pretty unfair to him

one more time! i'm not saying it isn't fucked up that he had to make that decision. i know that ppl a lot of times say "lol it was their choice" regarding ppl staying in the closet to wave off the trauma of closeting and debates about queerphobia in general. the closet wouldn't even be a choice that's presented if queerphobia didn't exist. no one's choises exist in a vacuum, we are all dealing with the material conditions of our lives, and queerphobia is a huge part of that; one that makes the best choices for us impossible. so like, no, he wasn't BY ANY MEANS 100% free to choose what he wanted. but he DID have agency in his decision to propose to her

besides, what was she supposed to say? "no ur gay lol"? it's not like outing him would have been an amazing move. and of course she could have said no and not said that it's because alec is gay and would never be happy with a woman, but honestly, what the fuck kind of right does she have to make that choice for him? she doesn't even know him. she has no right to tell him what he should do with the plate of shit that homophobia and abuse has handed to him, especially when he obviously is trying to keep his agency and have control over his situation and choosing to marry lydia was a part of that. again, maryse was pissed. when alec chose to marry lydia, he was doing it for himself

what would have happened if she had said no? he would have ended up marrying another girl. and probably one that his parents picked, not him. like, let's please give alec credit here. he chose to stay in the closet, but he was fighting being just a pawn in his parents' game from the start. and it's not like either of them had any illusions about what this marriage was; it was a business arrangement at best. alec called it a partnership. they both just wanted to use that situation to their favor. and in shadowhunter culture, that's normal (i'm not saying that's a good thing, just that it's a fact that influences her decision to say yes as well). like, do you think maryse and robert loved each other? we haven't really seen any other shadowhunter marriages so i can't say for others, but it sounds to me like marriages of convenience were pretty standard. if i were alec, id probably be relieved that she had said yes, because then they'd both be in a situation where they knew exactly what they were getting into and he didn't want to pretend

and don't get me wrong, i'm not saying she did alec a favor or some shit. i'm just saying i can't really see how she is doing him harm in that situation, and that i think this take is taking away a lot of alec's agency and if i were him i'd be pretty pissed about that lol

but tHEN we have the Lydia Stans who ALSO take his agency just as much with this absolute nonsense take that she was a "hero" because she "let" him call off the marriage. excuse me lol? he wasn't hers for her to "let" him do anything. what could she even DO to "not let" him kiss magnus? at best, she could have thrown a tantrum. which would have been pretty ugly, but like. pointless. she can't make him stay and if she had tried to this would make her a fucking asshole and a villain. but the fact that she wasn't a villain doesn't make her a hero lmao

she did the bare minimum! sure, she was gracious about it, it was nice that she said that he deserved to be happy, but still the bare minimum. it was alec's choice, not hers. she doesn't have any right to force him into this marriage, and she didn't have the means to, either, which is part of why i think her choice to accept his proposal was morally neutral

and god it's annoying as hell that ppl act as if she was doing some kind of favor by not being incredibly violent and homophobic and trying to force him into a marriage with her lol? like not being homophobic should be the least we expect. and again, alec can make his own choices. he didn't need her permission to do jack shit

so when it comes to the whole alec situation, i'm pretty neutral towards lydia. it's whatever. she was barely there for that plotline anyway. when it comes to the doyalist perspective of it all, i am pissed as hell that she seems to be so popular within the fandom as if she did something incredible or whatever, but my feelings towards her as a person/character would have been pretty neutral

but tHEN we have the fact that "both sides" of this debate openly and completely ignore all the other fucked up shit she did, like trying to arrest izzy for saving a downworlder's life (idc if she changed her mind, it was still gross) or her openly racist comments. her comment about raj should "cut back on the smartass after being manhandled by a warlock" was one of the racist comments that stuck with me the most in tHE WHOLE ENTIRE SHOW, because like. what??? warlocks are literally immortal powerful beings with access to magic shadowhunters can't DREAM of. and the "warlock" she's talking about is MAGNUS BANE, not only one of the most powerful of them, but someone that she supposedly admires??? like, my god, she was all but fangirling about him coming to the institute and then it's like. wow raj how could you lose to someone so inferior

like are you kidding me???? tell me how this comment makes ANY sense whatsoever unless you are the most shadowhunter supremacist person to have ever lived. there is no reason at all to presume that losing to a warlock is humiliating (especially considering how them powerful they are) unless you believe that shadowhunters should be inherently better than them at everything

but we never talk about that, now do we

so...... the super lydia-positive corner of the fandom annoys me to no end but overall this whole discussion just tires me from "both sides". i don't like her, and i hate that she is so loved when the shit she did is ignored and most of the stanning comes from a pretty belittling vision of alec anyway, but i also think the anti-lydia side focuses entirely on the wrong issues regarding her character

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’.

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

the last of us part 2 opinions that no one asked for but i need to get out of my system !!SPOILERS!!

i literally don’t give a shit if the story is for you or not, art is subjective. BUT i think that there are some fundamental misunderstandings about what makes a good game or not?? idk you’re welcome to disagree but people are throwing around a lot of “i didn’t like it, therefore it is bad” ideas & it’s not sitting right with me. there’s gonna be spoilers in this post you’ve been warned.

i loved this game. it challenged me and even though it has its issues, it was still really good it still made me think and feel things so some of these reviews have seriously made me go ??!??!?!?!??

if you didn’t like tlou2 and want to argue with people that did like it about how bad a game it is i’m not going to do that,, you can go play the first game again i’m not stopping you from not liking and not playing this game. this is simply my perception of the game and the most common criticisms i’ve seen.

if the only reason you don’t like the game is because boohoo they killed my favourite character,, literally as someone who has had the majority of my favourite characters die, they didn’t disrespect joel by killing him & ppl being THIS babyish about it & calling for them to rewrite the whole story is immature and embarrassing as fuck. that’s my biggest problem with the “fanbase” right now, we all knew that joel did a bad thing in saving ellie and we know that he’s done a ton of bad things before that, remember “we’re shitty people, joel, it’s been that way for a long time”?? tess wasn’t wrong, it makes sense that someone someday would come back for him and they did. if that’s what you’re mad about lol get a grip it’s not like we don’t see him throughout the whole game. (also i thought we all knew he was gonna die from the first trailer anyway) (also also did you guys not pick up on it when there was a song where the first line was “if i ever were to lose you, i’d surely lose myself” they laid out the whole game for you right there lmao)

things i’ve seen in reviews repeatedly that didn’t sit right:

1) joel and tommy wouldn’t have trusted abby.

joel and tommy have been living in a close knit community for four years with friends and family, there’s already a false sense of security. as far as they know, this is just a group passing through, they had no reason at all to believe that there was any malicious intent after not only saving abby but abby returning the favour and helping them out. they’ve never met them before, up until ‘the moment’ they’re very nice and welcoming, they also needed abby to trust them if they were all going to get out of that mess of infected alive. (ppl also forget that in the first game joel was, although hesitant, still perfectly willing to trust and travel with people, including henry and sam, who were kids just like this group so don’t play the ‘first game’ card)

2) ellie should have killed abby.

you’re seriously trying to tell me that killing abby would magically cure ellie of her ptsd??? if you weren’t blinded by your love of joel you’d know that’s not true lol literally the point is that killing her wouldn’t bring joel back it would only leave lev alone and vulnerable like ellie was and the meaningless violence would continue. literally none of the killing the characters did in this game made them feel remotely better, that’s the point. abby moved on from her pain by finding lev and looking after him, not by killing joel, just like ellie needs to begin to heal, not kill abby. if you wanted that fight to have a choice of whether you could kill abby or not i could POSSIBLY accept that but i would absolutely choose to spare abby every time. that last fight didn’t feel right anyway imo, i wanted to let her go before they even started.

3) ellie should have ended up with dina.

this game is shouting at your face that your actions have consequences!! no other ending made sense, if ellie killed abby and went back to find dina & jj still at the farm waiting for her there would be no lesson learned and no character growth!!

3) you shouldn’t have played as abby.

this is a grey one to me, i absolutely think you should play as abby but i think that the order was a little off, no one would be rooting for her over ellie after she killed a favourite character but if you have an open mind abby’s section of the game is really really fun and has some of the best moments in the game. i have some thoughts about what i personally think would have been super cool and i’m going to put it at the end of this post on the off chance that someone reads it but i totally get why they did it the way they did and it worked very well from abby’s day 2 onwards!!

4) it’s too violent?????

tell me what i’m missing here??? nd was as transparent as possible that this is a violent game centred around revenge and hatred that would feature brutal violence, smart ai and devastating cutscenes. yet there are people complaining that the game is too violent WHILE describing how bad they want to fuck up abby???? i understand not enjoying the violence, i wasn’t too bothered bc i’m pretty desensitised & i use way more stealth anyway but there were moments when it didn’t feel right & that’s okay?? that’s what they warned us about???

5) it’s just pushing an agenda, it’s too sjw.

people exist that are not male, white, straight and cis. stop crying about it.

i know no one will read this but i had a thought about a way to order the story to connect more with abby & needed to put it somewhere:

ok imagine for a minute if they had marketed it as a spinoff not a new game with new characters & no ellie or joel. you start as abby from her first day in seattle, forget everything before that for now!! imagine playing from there through to day 3 as normal, there are some very vague references to her dad dying and to her finally finding the killer but nothing that’s a giveaway for who her dad was or what happened in jackson. then we get to day 3 and that sniper scene (which was fuckin spectacular btw) and we see that it’s tommy there and it’s like ??!??!?!?!!??!? but we have to let it go for now to move the story on until we get to the theatre and we see eLLIE ?!???!??!?!!?!!?!!!!? and that’s where it cuts off and we go back and play as ellie and we see what abby did

i’m not a writer and i know that there would be problems with doing it that way but wouldn’t it be such a plot twist if we had been playing as abby from the start and connected with her and her friends more before finding out that ellie and tommy are even in the game never mind on their way to kill us??? i get why they didn’t do that though lol no one would have played it.

anyway this post isn’t attacking people for not liking the game or thinking that there are issues, this post is specifically about the people that claim that it’s objectively a bad game because they personally don’t like it.

here are some fuckin good awe-worthy moments that people are conveniently forgetting about:

- this is personal but tommy is one of, if not my favourite character, at least to me he’s one of the most interesting so seeing jeffrey pierce get more screentime was a big win for me!!

- jesse, yara and lev are DELIGHTFUL i love them v v much

- the museum i cried so much it’s so cute

- the acting!!?!?!?? especially ashley, the scene where ellie forced the truth out of joel is my favourite scene in either game acting-wise it BROKE me

- i said it before but the sniper scene was incredible

- the rat king!!! i'm a wimp it was so scary but man that reveal was fantastic

- abby’s fear of heights,, HELLO that scene on the bridges!!! i’m not scared of heights but it really got me

- the hotel!! how does nd manage to make hotels so scary

- the switch between playable characters was a plot twist and a half!!!! i gasped it was so unexpected i loved it!!!

- actually showing that the characters aren’t invincible and struggle with what they’ve been through,, showing ellie’s ptsd was so important!!!!

- ok idk why but the scene in the first game with david in the restaurant makes me so nervous every time,, i start shaking and sometimes i cry when i finish it bc that’s the definition of horror to me i HATE it it’s too scary. so when i got to that parallel with ellie and abby at the theatre and ellie was ‘the david’ of that encounter i had to sit and think about it for a long time, that scene shook me and i love nd for doing that!!

there’s probably more but this is already the longest post i’ve ever made & i’m tired (i’m not the best at getting my points across as well so if there’s anything that’s worded weirdly that’s on me)

A Honest Review of Nostalgia? (feat. Romantica)

Took my time to gather enough courage to write this ^^;;

So here goes my unneeded opinions...

First thing first, the premise. Just from reading the blurb I already knew where Nostalgia is heading, how things will not end up pretty... And it baffles me that many ppl are realizing it now? Your tyrannical boss turns out to be your ex and he wants to make you his again. Isn’t that just scary xD Then again, doesn’t trouble me that much bcs I don’t get the logic that queer relationships always have to be happy and healthy when relationships irl aren’t always sunshine and rainbows regardless if it’s queer or not. But yeah, that’s not the actual problem, instead some ppl can be uncomfortable with its portrayal and it may be triggering.

Moving onnnn to the first chapter, haha I did remember watching the sih anime but I can’t even recall what the hell happened in the two seasons. Reading the first chapter again for the second time I’m reminded once again of how boring the plot of Nostalgia is in general xD The beautiful animation and ost didn’t manage to fool me, heck yah~ I think 90% of the plot is just abt manga publishing + whatever happened 10 years ago. I tried so hard to like the characters but I can’t, I found all of them are one-dimensional as opposed to Romantica’s more quirky yet deeper cast. Like, sure Usagi loves Misaki too frickin much that without him he’ll die (lol) but his character arc isn’t limited to anything related to Misaki.

Even I saw some Japanese reviewers complaining how slow the plot moves , they even used the snail emoji bwahaha 🐌 When I thought Romantica can be repetitive and boring at times, but good lord Nostalgia has it even slower. If there’s another chapter abt senpai flashback again in the future seriously I will imagine there’s a wall in front of me and bonk my head against it (no way I would do that with a real wall it will hurt ;-;) Like c’mon. They need to stop fixating on the past. Of course Romantica has flashback chapters too but it’s to add something new, but in Nostalgia’s case it will hinder them to move forward hence the barely progressing plot

Now I would like to comment on the love rivals. Excluding An, all the love rivals are annoying me xD Why? Bcs their existence doesn’t do much other than for drama. Yokozawa is the typical jealous ex, Haitani is a Sumi copycat and Nao is just another Yokozawa but this time pursuing Ritsu. Lol Nakamura what just happened. As for Romantica’s love rivals, we know that their roles aren’t just to spice things up. Sumi kickstarted massive character developments of both Usagi and Misaki, yeah he’s approaching Misaki only to try getting into Usagi’s pants but hey he still cares genuinely for Misaki and they remained bffs after that. Won’t comment on Mizuki since he’s not rly a love rival. I’ve grown meh over Kaoruko so won’t talk abt her too. In Haruhiko’s case, him pursuing Misaki is just a small part in in his and Usagi’s already strained relationship, and it’s to show how the two brothers doesn’t rly differ from each other. As for Ijuuin... Lol I know he can be annoying but let’s be honest he acts as a perfect foil to Usagi and their banters are so fun to watch (with Jojo-esque sound effects haha).

Now getting past the plot, characterization... It’s time to talk abt Takano and Ritsu’s relationship. Personally I still think that their relationship can still be fixed, especially on Takano’s end. He needs to give Ritsu some space, that poor boy needs time to carefully sort out his thoughts and feelings, I can tell how much Ritsu is confused with himself. He has to APOLOGIZE, and put Ritsu’s feelings before his own. He can’t just do whatever he pleased and telling Ritsu what to do, given that they’re not even dating yet for now.

As for Ritsu... If he couldn’t voice it out, then he shouldn’t force himself to. There are lots of other ways to express your love and it isn’t just saying “I love you.” Believe it or not, it’s actually possible for a couple who haven’t said I love you to each other directly to still enjoy a happy relationship. Just ask Victuuri lmao.

Last but not least, my expectations of Nostalgia in future chapters. Uhh, I have to say that I’m pretty neutral on whether they will still end up together or they will break up but honestly the latter part seems impossible ^^;; Now that the countdown is getting close and Ritsu’s probably going to confess, but I will be quite disappointed if he does as soon he and Takano meet again. I don’t think that would be a right timing, given how things are going now. It should be done when things are properly sorted out between them and Takano not only apologized but turned over a new leaf as well. I do strongly think that the current Takano doesn’t deserve Ritsu’s confession as per now.
