I come with another question!

I know kind of what the other cryptid Links are based on… but what about our wind waker fella? I know he’s some kind of sea monster looking thing… I love his tail and he looks so squishable. But what is he based on? Anything mythological, anything from just cool present day media? Or is he his own original thing kinda?

My original design for Cryptid Wind was very much inspired by Pixar’s Luca! I even called him a Sea Monster on the character sheet haha!

But then I thought that he looked too much like Luca, and it wasn’t very fun for me to draw anymore, so I did a LOT of experimenting. I did a lot of sketches trying out different designs, different ocean creatures to base him off of. I ended up making a poll with some designs and everyone… voted on the original. Which wasn’t what I expected! So yeah, I put up a poll and then completely disregarded the results.

(I later did the same thing with Wars, though I got some VERY good feedback! While I’m not gonna go with any of the original poll options, I am taking your critique and suggestions into account! You all have such amazing things to say!)

I’m pretty proud of what I’ve got for Aquili designs and lore! While you can definitely still see the Luca influence, I’m a lot happier with it! I’ve been working on a full design post, with lore and drawings of other Aquili. Aryll and Grandma and agh!! I’m excited. I’ll continue working on it when classes stop being so hectic!

The way Usagi said this so suddenly, I can’t tell if he’s just faking all of it, realized it didn’t work, and gave up immediately and ending the have a fake crush on the most gorgeous person in the gang plan. I don’t like traitor usagi headcanons but it’s lining up I guess ? ☹️😒 maybe he is just a silly boy and decided to blurt it out at that moment and of course it didnt work out (denial… he’s shown to be smarter than that…)

He got over the rejection so quickly lmao- well I’m super glad he was respectful about it :3 however it’s odd to me on how quickly, i expected a slight frown with an “oh! Uh,, anyways.” at least rather than *ignores* fhskjdjs

some fun notes! (this is for the particular version of his existence where he is on the Mephistopheles with the canon sinners and character)

sinner kiya has not had top surgery, and rather wears binders during work hours (and also off hours, he has a very very shitty habit of not taking it off because "any damage it does to my ribs can just be turned back whenever I die next, can't it")

a large corporation like K Corp must have had it's own in-company cafeteria, that's where Kiya worked before being hired by Limbus Company this is both one of his greatest non-combat strengths and downfalls (resident snack maker)

i just think it'd be funny if he's friends with ishmael, in the same way that ishy and heath are friends, in that they ribbing each other

tbh i think all 3 of them should be friends because its funny and also they all want to torment and/or kill someone very badly, call them Vengeance Trio

There are two styles of merWhumpee I enjoy drawing: the copy-paste Disney Prince, and the Creature. Sketches below follow.

I get why we see more of the anthropomorphized Disney-like protagonist merWhumpee, as he is easier to sexualize and sympathize with as we put him through The Horrors.

But Creature merWhumpee is fun because he doesn’t look like us and that is the point. Infinitely more room for dehumanization and other cruelties of the whump community, regardless of how sentient he may truly be. Plus, I get to experiment with scale patterns and weird anatomy on the Creature side of things.

Anyway, whatever merWhumpee you find yourself drawn to, enjoy, and don’t forget to clean their tanks!

i was gifted one of those big blocks to grow oyster mushrooms off of and these guys sprouted after only three days of occasional spraying with water

sautéing them now in garlic butter and parsley, may add some old bay for extra seafood flavor
