AHHH!!! i adore this. i don’t have set-in-stone headcanons about ALL of this quite yet. i’ll just list some things i DO know for sure☺️
i’ve headcanoned for years that renée and maurice both said mama first, but juliette said papa first 🥺 she’s been a papa’s girl since the BEGINNING.
i don’t quite know how it happens with renée, but i do know that she was saying mama for like WEEKS before she finally said papa. it became a joke. adam kept being like “no i get it :/ she just doesn’t like me :/“ and belle would be like >:0 STOP IT!!!!!!!! the same way they were when belle was pregnant with her and she wouldn’t kick for him lmao. i don’t know how she eventually says papa, but gosh, adam just explodes the first time he hears it. the first time his own child sees him and knows for certain that he’s her papa 🤧
for juliette, she was sitting on belle’s lap, and adam walked in. belle said “ah! there’s papa!” and juliette just suddenly said “papa!🤗” which SHOCKED adam and belle. juliette didn’t really start speaking until she was around 2, (just like her father, which no one realized until one day they were venting their worries about her to mrs. potts and she was like “don’t even worry. adam didn’t start speaking until that age either!” and he was like HUH??? - which leads to a whole spiral about how his father treated him and such… which then leads to adam feeling so sad and scared and not wanting his baby to have the struggles that he has… but belle reminds him that she already has so much more support and love in her life. even if she has his struggles, she’ll always be loved and cared for. which heals something deep inside adam ❤️)
gosh, so anyway, little two year old juliette looks up at her father and says “papa!” and both adam and belle are like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! adam immediately goes to sit next to them and he’s grinning so wide and he says “yes! yes very good! i am papa!” and he picks her up and kisses her cheek and sits her on his lap and she says it again and adam and belle are laughing and kissing her head. it’s a beautiful moment 🥹
i also have an almost-done wip of the first time reecy says mama. belle was laying with him on the bed, trying to get him to nap with her. he was like exactly a year old, very babbly and wiggly. already very nearly walking too. but anyway, belle’s laying there with him, and she says something like “let’s rest awhile. will you rest with mama?” and he looks at her with those big blue eyes and grins and says “mama!!😁” and belle’s like !!! AH!! 😄😄 and snuggles with him and celebrates it and he keeps saying it, seeing how happy it makes her. it becomes even harder to settle down for a nap after that, but belle doesn’t even care!!!
so i guess adam DOES miss that moment!! but i think reecy easily says it again later on when adam was there, which of course warms adam’s heart 🥰
i also think they all say a rough form of the dog’s name, sylvie, like “seevee” or “sivy” pretty early on as well. i’ve even debated if maurice says that first, before he says mama. that may be the case!!!! they also all say “book” pretty quickly too. and like. who can be surprised.
FIRST STEPS THOUGH… agh. i’m even less certain about honestly
i’m not sure about the girls, though i know renée started walking at like 9-10 months old (which is sooner than average) and juliette was nearly 2 (which, as you can surmise, is later than average).
maurice though i think he did it WITH his sisters. i got this from a video i saw once, i’ll send it to you, it was literally 3 kids like the same dynamic as adam & belle’s. 2 girls roughly kid age (though they’re a bit older in the video, but same vibe) and a baby boy. and the video was him playing with the girls, and he was standing at a toy play thing. and he started reaching for the older girl, and it was clear that he had been on the cusp of figuring it out for a bit, so the girl quickly backed up and held a toy away for him to reach for. the baby boy then kept reaching and TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS!!!! he walked a few steps to her and fell into her lap. it’s SOOO cute and ever since i saw that, i’ve integrated it into my canon. i think that’s totally how maurice took his first steps. it Makes Sense that it would happen with his sisters 😭 and obviously in the video, a parent was recording, but idk where adam and belle are for this moment! maybe they’re there and watching, or MAYBE this is a crazy occurrence that happens for a split second when they’re both not looking. only looking up when they hear the excited cheers from their beloved children 🥹🫶

I have this idea that one day when Prapai and Sky are making out Prapai would accidentally do something to tickle Sky and Sky would freak out and push him away but Prapai would start panicking because ehe thinks he did something wrong.

That's a wonderful idea. Coz Peat is apparently very ticklish and Fort does know where his tickle spots are 🤭 not surprised there at all 😂😂 but can I make a slight deviation 🫣. So imagine they are making out and this is definitely before NC11 coz after NC 11 Prapai would have learned each and every inch of Sky taking the whole night learning all his weak spots, where he is ticklish the most, where when lightly touched Sky shivers deliciously 🤭
So before NC11 they have definitely made out multiple times coz remember how Prapai was like "I am here just to see you and maybe like makeout with you" so yea... They are making out, hands are under each other's shirts and at second they are kissing like air is not a necessity and then next second Sky pulls back with a gasp and his eyes are round and he's ready to push Prapai's hands away where they are just below his ribs and Prapai gives another featherlight touch and Sky giggles and omg Prapai couldn't fall even more in love and he does it again and Sky goes "P'Pai No" but the his voice all wobbled cox he's giggling and Prapai is so happy seeing Sky like that so he does it again and Sky literally jumps from Prapai's lap and goes "Uh uh no more kisses for you" all sternly but his eyes are so bright and Prapai slowly walks up to him and goes all pouty puppy eyed "But Skyyyyyy, pleaseee" 🥺😚☺️

Okay can I just say as someone who is trying to write multiple things at once I genuinely do not know how you do it? I am like in awe of you constantly putting out updates for multiple series? I literally have one WIP and requests and I feel like I’m unable to focus are you like a Greek goddess or something I’m just wondering (if I could say this from my @steddieas-shegoes blog I would but tumblr is just kind of here for the bare minimum so)

Honestly I wouldn’t feel too bad about productivity as far as writing goes. I know that sounds fucking dumb coming from a person who writes a lot but I’ve just gotten lucky in this fandom to have a lot of great readers that make me want to actually do it. Any amount is a good amount. Making yourself sit down and write two sentences is good!!

December - do you have any irrational fears?
I don't believe that any fear is irrational. If you think about it hard enough, any reason to be scared of something is reasonable because we all experience the world differently. Fear protects us, it keeps us alive - to an extent. Sometimes it's detrimental, but it comes largely from the part of us that loves us and is invested in our health and safety.
On the other hand, I have a phobia of water splashing back on me at work and getting into my hair. So I always stand back at least an arms' length away when I'm sorting out the chemicals I'm using all day. I work with strong chemicals - corrosives, irritants, bleaches, powders, etc., which would melt my hair right off if it ever got into my hair. If I think water splashes back, I spend the next five to ten minutes worrying so intensely about my hair that I get a psychosomatic burning across my scalp. I'll go look in the nearest mirror to make sure there's no wet patch, I'll be dabbing at the spot with my wrist to alleviate the itch, I'll ask coworkers if there's anything there. There's never anything there, I'm very careful, but I fear it all the same.
And this illustrates my point - to you, that precaution of me literally jumping away from running water/leaning back when using chemicals/getting very anxious about splash back may sound silly (and that's okay), but to me, it's a very reasonable thing to be scared of.
Fear, like everything in life, is subjective. And I don't think it's ever irrational - there's always a reason someone is scared. Fear in itself is a survival mechanism we've used to keep us alive for millennia. What was it the 12th Doctor once said? "Fear is your friend - it is a superpower".🥺❤️
Chanukah - who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Hmm... I don't know. Maybe Maya Hawke? She'd capture the awkward social skills quite well and the tendency to ramble. I can't really think of anyone.
Hot chocolate - how would you like to be remembered?
As someone who loved hard, tried her best, and lived her life inside her head.❤️
Polar – would you rather be twice as smart or twice as happy?
Hmmm... this feels like one of those 'trick' questions where there's a massive downside which isn't considered when initially answering. So I'll cop out - I'll stay just as I am, but not living with my parents. That'd fix me, and I'm not joking. Because I'm at my happiest when I'm away from them.
Snow – what fictional character reminds you most of yourself?
I don't wanna say who I'm thinking of because that'll feel like poking a wasp's nest.😂
Mulled wine - do you speak any other languages?
Unfortunately, no. I tried teaching myself Japanese and Korean a few years back, and the most I can remember is the odd word here or there.

Well, I am thrilled to hear about a new Jake series! 😁🥺❤️
I will admit that I go back and forth on him a lot; sometimes I cannot stand him 🙄 but personally, I think that taking a character that is loveable but certainly not always loved, is one of the great challenges when writing ☺️ And I think that you are an excellent writer, so I’m excited to see where this one goes 😁
Also, as a little side note, I am absolutely dying at the thought of Bob with Advanced Literature 😭🥺❤️ I’m totally not projecting, at all, just because I have been dreaming about this? 😅 Literally, I have 😌
But what else am I to do? I am but a poor student (of literature 😌 No, really), about to finish my master’s degree, and looking into Ph.d. programs 🤷🏼♀️😅😌 So, okay, maybe I will be projecting the absolute fucking shit out of that one 🤷🏼♀️ But I’m so excited to do so! 😌❤️
Hey, Laura! I definitely go back and forth with Jake, too. But somehow I feel like he's easier for me to write at times? Like the stakes are lower lol. I actually already wrote a little bit of Bob and Advanced Literature.... if you're looking to become a lit prof, I think you may really like it!

sorry this is literally my 2nd ask of the day/evening lmaoo but I was wondering if anyone was also thinking/feeling like they aren't socialising enough and just being more extroverted and 'out there' (especially when it comes to college/uni!). yesterday I saw an old friend of mine who goes to a different university than me (I moved quite far from home and in some way escaped from everyone lmaoo). anyways, she told me all about how she goes out to parties, has a boyfriend etc and then here I am just living quite an uneventful life (normally go to coffee shops with friends, the library and study, write or spend time on here or pinterest and maybe drink a bit once in a while). it feels like Im just wasting years by not doing things that she is and its so stressful for some reason 😭 😭 😭 idk this is a bit of a rant but yeah thanks for listenining to my ted talk!!! 😌😍

Also, I see that you are so young 🥺💖 and as I'm a few years older than you, I must tell you this is a complete normal feeling; I don't know if it is normal for EVERYONE but for A LOT of people (me included) it is! I don't know, I guess it has to do with the fact adulthood usually goes way more different than what we expected as kids/teens, so maybe there's that, also the fact that we compare ourselves too much with other people and that can have a negative impact in our lives, for example in my age, I feel like it's a transition period in which we are going through changes, so a some of my former classmates/friends are getting married, having kids, while others are finishing college or working, and some have done none of that!
I think the key point is: do you like your lifestyle or do you think you should be doing the same as your friend to be happy? If you are happy that way, then you do what you love, you have plenty of time to enjoy your stuff or simply change interests... I don't know if I am explaining myself well enough, but that's it! Overall, don't worry about it, do what you want, try new stuff and adventures and don't be afraid of it, love you honey ❤️❤️❤️
