it's 2AM and everyone's asleep - can i talk about how cool the whole "each time a celestial primate is born an anomaly happens" thing is??
because since it's so ambiguous in JTTW, it's fun to just play around with that, like other media has in the interpretations in the other 3 like.
i just think it's COOL because Wukong's eyes pierced the sky and alerted Heaven -- what other cool things could happen? and Macaque's was so.
Originally, it was going to be "And when you were born, the entire moon went dark." but that couldn't happen for a variety of reasons. The anomalies have to affect something, but it can't be lasting. It has to be something that gets the attention of the divine in a way that they immediately know "hey, something's going on."
and with MK's, it's sooo MUCH, that it drew the attention of everyone! Because, comparatively we have 1) a bright golden light, 2) a shadow falling over the moon, 3) all the stars flashing brighter for a few seconds, 4) an earthquake that shakes all the realms PLUS golden flowers blooming on the trees.
the fact that there's TWO parts is super important. I wanted that to be a showing of MK's power but also to show his nature as the celestial primate of balance. Because the trees bloomed gold in every realm to highlight his influence and duty, but the earthquake speaks to how powerful he is, how that power has to be carefully maintained or it could spiral out of control.
because I kind of just thought about the nature of the anomalies, too. Wukong's being that bright light and it piercing Heaven just makes me think of his title about being equal to Heaven, how he wanted to be recognized and respected and treated as a divine. that craving for attention.
Macaque's is subtle, a "blink and you miss it" type anomaly because it happened so fast, but it's noticeable in a way like "wait, what was that? the moonlight faded for a second" it's sneaky, it's not outright asking for attention...it's making itself known, but keeping to the night, stalking the shadows. and obvs. the moon itself being linked to the tides, Macaque being born from seafoam. It's neat!! just the symbolism that's associated with water -- wisdom, patience, restoration, guidance. it suits him so well.
Can't talk about the third one for Little Star too much, but the stars FLASHING brighter for a few seconds? all that burning gas just... getting HOTTER and more intense, lighting up the night sky??? attention grabbing for sure, but also intense. exciting, captivating, thinking, perhaps, that something wonderful is about to happen, but then it fades...
it's fun to think about it link them to their characters.

i love kimcom so much.. i love them so much..
theyre so..!! honestly if i think about them too much i'll cry.. and I'm rereading a few bits of dark castle to compare the novel and the webtoon and gosh, sleepyc and team's art really allows kimcoms interactions to feel more alive and goofy, silly even,,
epilogue spoilers ahead near the end
and novel's narration are like the gaps to fill in, both sides elevate the story,, i sound like a food critic but like. oh my goodness you read the part where kdj reunites with sys in dark castle after his revival and youre so taken by how sweet and cute it is. and then you read novel and..!!
I wouldn't have been able to run straight here if it wasn't for this feeling. I saw Shin Yoosung crying and thought that parents probably felt like this.
GOODBYEEEE I AM SO DEADDDD LIKE OH MY GOD YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME???
and webtoon chooses to let kdj maintain the same composure he had when he talked to jihye after saving her just moments prior,, and it works because now i read his inner thoughts in novel and I FEEL SO INSANE?!?!?! YOU BITCHHH SAY IT SAY YOU MISS HER?? no wait .. im getting off topic. this is becoming a kdj sys ramble
Honestly even though i call them found family I don't really classify them as a family either, they feel more like a home? at least at the first half of the story.. In an apocalypse where everything feels uncertain and you've lost all your close friends, you'd end up wandering aimlessly, so sticking to a group is moreso a temporary means of survival than friendship of any sort. It's also why kdj is so essential to kimcom as their glue, as the person who gathered them together, he provided them with that temporary party. and having that 'constant' you can return and realign to in that setting is so.. augh...
not to mention that three of the kimcom members are kids and kdj is their form of stability. lgy and sys hug him whenever they see him because he's the first adult that had ever shown them care. jihye is probably shaken from the first scenario but while she clings to yjh and admires him as her master, he probably doesnt do enough to reciprocate her respect or communicate as enthusiastically. now that i think about it, jihye feels kind of lonely, not young enough to get along with the kids particularly closely and not old enough to be buddies with the adults. does she make up for it by being talkative?)
And at this point in the story its evident that theyre not even that close !! singshong's writing style isnt one that elaborates on emotions and descriptive fluff to begin with, but sys is stated to not be so fond of jihye in ch162 because jihye was rude to kdj, they still feel like theyre in their own cliques. sys and lgy stick together as kids of similar ages, jhw and lhs get along normally, hsy is. hsy. lhs for one narrates kimcom as his 'companions' quite early on, but i'm unsure whether that choice is becuase thats just a suitable word for people closer than 'allies' but not close enough to be 'friends'. ultimately its just a buncha people who are trying to survive, and care about the guy that brought them tgt. it doesnt really feel like anything more than that.
and then as you're caught up in kdj's shenanigans, small snippets pass by and they feel a bit warmer yk. like sys and lgy having a coin flip whenever they're uneasy. (sys states that lgy has "done this before", like he's the one that has suggested the past coin flip(s). it feels like its implying that hes initiated this game system just to cheer up sys because shes a lot more transparent about feeling sad that kdj isnt there.) sooyoung of all people, willing to get an outer god contract to save sangah. jihye, hyunsung and seolhwa chilling in the room during proof of stars, and hyunsung was picking his nose like are you fr they are so unserious,.
in jttw arc ch 433, yoosung growing close enough to joonghyuk to not get intimidated by him and (forcefully (forcefully is a strong word but she straight up just puts it on his cheek unprompted and that is so funny of her)) apply seolhwa's ointment, even giggling when he allows her to do it after she brings up doctors orders.
after proof of stars, theres a portion that goes
The party members supported each other. (...) I saw the white lines connecting the empty universe. The stars, that seemed like they would never meet each other, were facing each other.
please know this: i wanted to cry and scream so bad. ive started to spell out kimcoms names rather than address them in their shortforms, that writing inconsistency is how emotional i am right now.
I can't do the justice of listing down every instance where they've grown a little closer, but i'm hoping to remember more on my second reread.
because orv is such a long novel, the way they gradually grow closer also feels realistic.. and by the time you're in the ch400s, its so clear that they wouldn't go anywhere else without each other.. if i start talking about vacation arc i'll just start sitting and staring at a wall again.
"you're explaining how an average found family trope is realised" Youre right!!! youre right!!,, me when the found family is actually found family.. don't shame me like this.. i'm just an emotional person..
Ah and then you get moments where their unity really shines, and they become god pummeling probability festering forces of nature... and its when one guy's life is in jeopardy. even when they weren't all that close yet, its when they save kdj where they feel most strong. and its a bit obvious because its like, common goal makes people group together yknow, but god the adrenaline and relief when they appeared in demon king selection.. the way their names pop up one after another when they vote for jung heewon's skill..
and 1865 !! 1865 was really the epitome of it all!! oh my god they were all so reluctant to return to the hell of the scenarios but they dragged themselves back because of one fucking guy that they loved too much. and i'm rereading 1865 a bit as i write this but the way they all yelled at their sponsors to pick them is so so funny and the whole speedrunning thing really shows their desperation to quickly find him but also feels a bit fun and even exhilirating with how theyd already beaten the game once, and they were going to storm through the whole thing again to reach kim dokja. like a fuckin earthquake. the lines in ch 536
They had to be insane. (...) These people who lost their minds were clearing the scenarios with insane methods.
YEAHHH THATS MY FUCKING KIMCOM WOOOH OH MY GODD THEYRE SO INSANE!!!!
kimcom's bond was strengthened because of their love for kim dokja, kimcom drifted so close because of how much they wanted to save kim dokja. whenever i think about the 'found family' trope between kimcom, it exists because they love kim dokja, and once again i'm reminded of how much that bastard is loved and how he denies that he is anything else but a reader outside the covers of the story.
It's not to say that all of kimcom's bonds were because of him, but it's clear that had it not been for him, they would have dissipated so much quicker.
agh. what was i talking about again..
genuinely i dont know if ive proven anything through this. i just had to talk about it. i havent even talked about the relationship between kdj and each kimcom member but then the post wouldnt end. sys's section would be thousands of words and i would even have a portion for gong pildu and jang hayoung..
i love kimcom. thats it thats the post.

So in slow boiled su Wukong had no qualms about sleeping in trees. The other Pilgrims however, did. Mainly Tripitaka and, surprisingly, Wujing or Baije. Ao Lie isn't as upset about it because while visiting one of the larger cities he picked up some books on various monkeys and monkey demon species because if he is gonna be Wukong's caretaker and godfathe the wants to do it right. That's how he discovered that the reason Wukong doesn't "clean himself" nearly as much as Tripitaka thinks he should is because monkeys naturally groom each other and a dirty monkey is an unwanted and abandoned monkey. After that he starts offering to share baths with Wukong which makes the monkey unbelievably happy
Sun Wukong, the Monkey King: *has normal monkey behaviors*
Tripitaka: *has likely never seen a monkey before* "Brother, wtf?"
I feel like most of the Pilgrims weren't that up-to-date on primatology, so they honestly couldn't tell what was "normal" for their monkey bro vs what was him "misbehaving".
Theres even a scene in the Subodhi chapter where Wukong gets reprimanded harshly for jumping when he's excited. Subodhi explains to Wukong that it's considered super-rude to start jumping during class, and the monkey is so confused? Why would showing his joy be an issue?
As for bathing, most of gang (minus Tripitaka) are shameless when it comes to bathing together cus they're just bros chilling in a hot springs, but it takes a whike for them to catch on the Wukong really expects help with cleaning his fur, and he in turn helps clean them.
Zhu Bajie scoffs cus that sounds sus bro. Sha Wujing is happy to help despite his bald spots not giving the monkey much to groom back. And ofc Ao Lie fully embraces this part of Wukong's instincts since dragons have similar grooming behaviors among family. Tripitaka thinks its weird af (he dont like being touched or touching others).
In the Slow Boiled & Jttw Stone Egged aus; the gang aren't sure how to classify Wukong's behavior with the knowledge of the Stone Egg he carries. Whats monkey behavior, hormones, or just plain Wukong?

Angst this early in the Au, yes.
Backstory fo their relationship:
Macaque just get to befriend SWK before he become the Monkey Kid, aka when both were just lil' cub playing and jumping from tree to tree, so we can see it like they're childhood friends.
But the detail here is that, after become the Monkie King, Shí Hóu was so busy taking care of other monkies and making friends with the strongers ones in the pack that he completly forgot about Macaque (who, at the time, was just know for the anomaly of his ears). Here's were we take in account the part of Macaque's story in S2, 'cause all this was actually write by a really young Macaque, the one that remember his adventures with Shí Hóu like something big and importanrt (gonna talk 'bout this in another oneshot).
His pain grown bigger after SWK decided to start his journey to find inmortality, 'cause even when he hate that the monkey forgot about him, at leats he was making a good job with the monkies in FFM, but this King decided to think like a 5-years old that can't understand about the circle of life and left without thinking what could happen to his people (and we all know what happen with the demon king of confusion).
This explain some things in their interactions in canon, like the reactions of SWK in their first encounter ('cause at the moment he just remember him from that moment were the shadow what a pain with the JTTW team, we're gonna talk about this later), or the fact that Macaque talk about his past with SWK in a sad/painful way while SWK seems to don't give a shit, 'cause of the two, Macaque have all those memories still in his mind, burning him fron inside.

Learning how to use Clip Studio and Tumblr all at once slay </3 Okay I have to ramble about their characters though like omggg forgive the block of text
Anyway more progress on the Macaque and SWK sketches, I love their designs in the show and I've been thinking a lot about the way they're styled. Especially since one of the biggest challenges I can think of when it comes to a show about literal legos is that the character models are very samey, of course.
Also, SWK and Macaque have a particularly interesting challenge, with both being demon monkey guys. Aside from the obvious color palette change (they share similar yellow, red, and black just inverted though which I delusionally associate with their soul mate-level connection to one another) some of my favorite character differences is their eyes??? Like, from Macaques down turned lashes to Sun Wukongs upturned lashes? There's also sharper shapes used in Macaques design versus the roundish lines used in SWK's design which is a popular way of distinguishing "bad" from "good" or in this case, to just make Macaque look edgy and disheveled compared to the more put together SWK.
Tumblr media
Like from his brows, his makeup, his frayed cloak, he just has such trademark bad-boy qualities. It's really simple but it's really effective in distinguishing their designs aside from just a color swap.
I think it's also a cool way to establish their personalities. Ironically Macaque, despite coming across as deceptive, is often a lot more honest to Mk and his friends than Sun Wukong is. Which subverts the initial impression of his design. Speaking of which, Sun Wukong's design is just so cute? The rounded lines that make up his design feed the impression that he's trustworthy. A confident, good-natured mentor who's gotten past all his wild youthful exploits (he's literally committed several war crimes) and is just trying to pave a good path for MK. And while he definitely cares for MK and really does want him to succeed, gah damn, he is a hot mess. My favorite part is that Macaque at least acknowledges he's got issues, but Sun Wukong is just in complete denial but that's a whole different post.
Anyways I love the details that their character designs are subversive to their real personalities. Like even MK states it outright to Macaque that he's really not the bad boy loner he makes himself out to be, its all a facade and most likely a response to the several times he's been just screwed over by Sun Wukong
Interestingly enough, Sun Wukong has a whole arc about how he's a really bad mentor, an untrustworthy dude, and kind of downright manipulative when it comes to using his persona to put himself in positions of leadership. Though I don't think he does it out of malice, more just recklessness. The chill mentor vibe (giving Gojo energy tbh) even gets challenged in season one by Macaque after he mentions that the Real Sun Wukong would have destroyed a whole mountain range just to win a fight. And like, if you know anything about what Sun Wukong is like in JTTW, bro has zero chill.
Also, they're like perfect foils and it's my favorite thing. Macaque showcasing himself as violet and SWK as golden in his shadow play was a great use of complimentary colors. Anyway, rant over, I love it when character designs are made to be cohesive with each other </333
brb gonna watch the entire series again

multiple questions. Is Lady Bone Demon alive or did she die in the same in JTTW.
Is macaque alive and is he literal metaphor of Wukong like his a “clone” of Wukong or is he a complete separate being from from Wukong and just represents what evil Wukong can do.
Are yellow camel gang (forget their group name) still supplementing the demon warlords not like they do anything special all you have the DBK, speak of him is the jade face fox still around.
What is Mei doing to do the Samadi fire isn’t split up so what she got to do (the writers really fumble the ball with her well that happen when you are given 10 MINUTES PER EP LIKE WHAT HELL LEGO)? Speaking of the gang are they the same guys or are they still recantations?
What is this demon-human truce I keep hearing about how did it happen? After Wukong sealed DBK?
Is flower fruit mountain still in same place like in the show? Because I can see Wukong using his 10000 ft tall from to pick up all of FFM and pick up a big chunk of the fire ring mountains (I forgot the name of that place too) then place it in the middle of the ocean to be life alone. yes I know volcanoes don’t work like that but come on this world is all really violating the natural norms of our world so what’s one more violation.
OHO MANY QUESTIONS!! :DD
1. LBD makes an appearance but she's just a small fry yaojing like in JTTW, and more of a lackey then the big bad. she did get killed by Wukong but she escapes the Diyu with some help
2. Macaque also an escapee from the Diyu and takes role of bbg on S3. he's his own person, but he feels himself equal to Wukong in power and merit, and he resents him for being given the chance at Enlightenment. not that the option is never denied to him, he can do it on his own accord, but not if he can't gain fame and renown from it like Wukong did.
3. the Camel Ridge Trio aren't part of the Brotherhood, they're their own thing but they got deleted by Wukong in the journey and that's that lol his Brotherhood tho is still around in their own way, and they do resent him for ditching them for Heaven. they arent big bads in S4 but they get roped into a vengence plot by Macaque.
4. Jade Faced Fox as well as the Immortal Compliant are still around but they're on PIF's side while DBK got sealed away. They got only minor roles though villains of the week demons for MK, like Yin and Jin.
5. IM TAKING MEI AND GIVING HER A FIX UP MAKEOVER!!!!! She's overall still like her S1 self, but her arc is more tied to her dragon ancestry than stealing Red Son's thunder. the Samadhi Fire isn't a McGuffin hot potato in S3, her arc is about learning to master her water and weather manipulation powers, and learning how to fly on her own. Chinese dragons need a "protusion" in their head to fly which im just reworking as its an age thing, so best she can do half the time is hop around on clouds, and since Megapolis in is a desert and has weather control.... not much chance to stretch herself. Also she has a full proper dragon form, not just a floating hologram form.
6. the gang is not reincarnations of the pilgrims, the lads are all in their celestial posts post-JTTW and they make some appearances here and there, mostly in a support role. Tang is one of Tripitaka's disciples who also got given a few reincarnations as a mortal to build merit and cultivation. Wukong saw that and went "hey yknow what would be really funny?" and so pilgrim group electric boogaloo happens xD
7. after the journey, Wukong became a boddhisattva, and helped over the years to build trust between humans and demons, proving that they can not only coexist but support each other. Megapolis was the first mixed city to be built as proof-of-concept that a demon-human truce could work, and after a few decades, the truce was codified into law both in the mortal and celestial realm. basically demons will be treated as equals among humans if they don't eat or kill humans, and they can be redeemed if they choose to drop a warlord's lifestyle after community service and reparations are given. to maintain the peace, quite a few immortals keep an eye on the mortal realm for any breaches on that truce, so it can be investigated and punished accordingly.
8. JSBDHSHDJHD TRUE THAT!! But FFM is not sealed away so zealously, everyone knows Wukong didn't vanish, he just went to the celestial realm to work as an intermediate between mortals and immortals and yknow, boddishattva duties. FFM got plucked closer to the shore, and after Megapolis was properly established, it even got a few tourist traps along the shores. there are still monkey yaoguai living there quite happily, those villages we see arent deserted, and sometimes scholars and pilgrims are allowed to climb the mountain for an escorted visit. its pretty lively there!

niuhou for ship opinions?
Aroace Sun Wukong truther though I am, in all honesty anon the niuhou ship is one of my favorites in the jttw fandom <3.
It's true that in Xiyouji itself we don't get a super in-depth amount of space dedicated to the details of their relationship when they were sworn brothers, but there is a real sense that they genuinely liked AND respected each other. And that's a feeling that's really increased when we see their reunion later on during the journey, when even with an absence of over 500 years and a lot of reasons for antagonism for the both of them (the Demon Bull King wants to eat Tang Sanzang & otherwise hinder Sun Wukong's journey, Sun Wukong played a major role in getting Red Boy captured by the Bodhisattva Guanyin & caused Princess Iron Fan a lot of physical pain), both spend quite a few pages dancing around whether they're going to attack the other because of their former strong bond until things irrevocably crumble. Wu Cheng'en even dedicates an entire poem to how tragic this break-up is (and how epic the resulting fight was lol).
But probably best of all for me is that this is one of those ships where both characters really get to shine through as their own individual people with rich stories. When you look at other ships involving the Monkey King (especially the tons of movies with a SWK romance) it tends to be the case where the romantic partner in question seems to revolve their entire life and personality around old Monkey in one way or another, usually with a heavy dose of "being eternally patient & forgiving no matter how much shit he gives them" and also ending with the fate of them dying so that he can be sad/having to Learn a Lesson. So yeah said "romantic partners" often feel more like hollow shells or desperate obsessives than full people.
Which to put it academically sucks major balls.
With Niuhou, however, that's not the case at all! Obviously a good chunk of Xiyouji is dedicated to Sun Wukong's character and his multitude of complexities and development, but even in the few chapters we see him the Demon Bull King really stands out as one of the yaoguai kings who had a very active life after the Mt. Huaguoshan war with heaven, doing everything from gathering wealth, allies, power, and friends to getting married and having a child that he very much loves to then having a falling out with Princess Iron Fan because he took on a concubine with Princess Jade Countenance. He's also described as being just as powerful as the Monkey King (while also being stockier), and his rage really is something that can shake the Heavens! It all makes for a very involved part of the journey, ranging from Sun Wukong and numerous gods having to go to battle against a colossal Niu Mowang to the Demon Bull King calling time-out on a preliminary fight because he wanted to go party with some of his dragon friends.
And as a final bonus this is also one of those rare ships involving the Monkey King where he's actually very obviously invested in maintaining it, from being his active and ambitious social self as a warlord to trying every which way to get what he needs from the Demon Bull King to continue the journey while still maintaining his bond with Niu Mowang. And while it does end in tragedy, you do have the delight of thee Monkey King approaching the situation like "PLEASE bestie my beautiful princess with a disorder PLEASE remember what we mean to each other!!!" And then the Demon Bull King being like "me remembering that is the only reason why I haven't killed you where you stand."

GIMME ME THAT SWEET SWEET ZHAO LORE (please) 💕
Kay' so I already gave yall' her backstory but I might as well explain something about her character.
So in her backstory there are three major parts:
-Her family (The Lihuang Clan)
-Lánhūa
-and Jttw
Now I didn't mention this in my other post but Lánhūa wasn't immortal, even though Zhao was.... I said Zhao and Wukong met when Wukong was 346 years under that mountain and as we all know he was under there for 500 years total. So wouldn't you guess 164 years later when he goes to visit his girl buddie and well... I think you all know what happened 😔
Losing her family who she loved but knew didn't love her back was already so much, and now she lost Lánhūa as well.
In book JTTW her family and Lánhūa were her two losses and Tripitaka & the pilgrims were the people who stuck. Now I wanted there to be specifically two loses and the recovery, these three stages are meant to symbolize "the rain, the storm and the Sun"
The rain symbolizes her leaving her family, because rain isn't such a big deal, you know? You can always chose to get under your umbrella or something like that. Why? So you don't get wet. Just like Zhao left her family because she didn't want to be mistreated anymore
The storm symbolizes Lánhūa's death. When there's a storm you can't really stay outside, you just get wet, cold and dirty. It might ruin your mood because even if you do try to get home you'll get wet as all hell. And when I say storm I mean big boy storm, like the type of storm in which you can barely get out of your house. It's pure strife but in weather form. This symbolizes how when Lánhūa died Zhao's whole life was just strife, not strife with someone else, but strife with herself. She often blames herself for not doing more to help Lánhua live a long and healthy life.
The Sun symbolizes well.. Sun Wukong. After the storm comes the Sun and warms you up, in my personal experience good weather also lightens up my mood a lil' bit. Tripitaka and the pilgrims were Zhao's Sun. They didn't come and go they came and stayed. Throughout the book Zhao is very anxious to form a deeper friendship with tripitaka and the pilgrims, because she doesn't want to befriend people who she knows will leave her again. But at the end of the book when she finally realizes these people won't leave her she becomes warmer.
(After Lánhūa died Zhao because a much colder and less social person. The book is basically her character arc of becoming warmer and happier after finally finding real emotional bonds :'> )
However like I said in LMK Lánhūa is cut. So instead her rain is still her family, her storm are Tripitaka and the pilgrims and her Sun are MK and MK's group.
Considering LMK takes place hundreds of years after JTTW i think it's safe to say Sanzang, Pigsy, Sandy and Ao Lie have all passed.
So instead of losing Lánhūa she lost Tripitaka's group. And instead of finally finding people who will stay being Tripitaka's group those people are MK and MK's group.
Now you might be asking me "But Rua, Monkey is also immortal? Why don't Monkey King and Zhao stay together? They have similar problems?" Well my dears, they had a bit of a rough start when they first see each other again at the start of LMK season two (which is when Zhao gets introduced), but throughout LMK they're having a character arc of becoming friends again, and not like they hate each other (because I didn't want their relationship to just be a rip-off of Macaque and Monkey), but they're generally awkward and quiet towards one another.
So ye-
Thank you for asking and thank you for comin to my Ted talk :) (again)

SOOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT DID YOU THINK OF SEASON 4!?~
-Abandoned King anon
So answering this is like [ checks watch ] two months late but I finally found a place I could watch it! I'll admit I wasn't spending a whole lotta time looking bc my brain switched to hyperfixating on TMNT instead of LMK, BUT, that doesn't mean my love for the series disappeared!
I'm actually hoping to start working on Into The Wukongverse again after I finish the season :0 I haven't seen the specials yet unfortunately, the website I'm using doesn't have them bc they're not out in english yet I don't think :(
But also, if I start work on Into The Wukongverse again, I'll be working on it alongside my ROTMNT fic "Just This Once, Everybody Lives" because I refuse to abandon that fic. I have vivid stories in my mind for both, and sure, I haven't touched ITTW in... a while, BUT I haven't stopped thinking about it this whole time! I still have the masterpost pinned for a reason! I'll have to go back and redo some of it, but I'm still working on it, I promise!
(this gets long so I'm slapping a read more on this bad boy)
So my initial thoughts when I saw how different the sworn brothers were from the original cast of brothers (i wasn't terribly surprised honestly considering how different LMK already is to the source material) was actually delight! I'd already known about the new demons, since they made book appearances (it's been... a while since I've thought deeply about LMK, I'll be honest, so some lore has slipped from my brain unfortunately) and I can't quite remember if they were part of the og brotherhood or not, but I DO know they were adversaries that Wukong fought later on! So it was really cool to see them animated like that! Makes me wonder what became of the og brotherhood members, tho.
It was honestly a little funny how Azure told MK and Mei not to draw attention to themselves and the first thing they do is try to kidnap Tripitaka after saving him from being eaten XD Honestly, these doofuses... The episodes are very fast paced, but it's understandable considering they're only eleven minutes long
And also...
Tumblr media
Married. Married, holy SHIT they are so married I'm not even joking LOOK AT THIS OH MY GOD also the "I'm your Tangy :(" line- HUSBANDS. MARRIED. OH MY GOD. Literally this was so fucking cute oh my goooOOOOOOOOOOOOD-
Also, the entire thing of "No, Wukong's not my dad. Pigsy's my dad." and MK denying Wukong being his dad w the "If he was my dad don't you think he would've said something by now?" and then Mei shooting back with "Yeah, because he's sooooo forthcoming with information." was AMAZING. It had me looking at my lore for the Wukongverse and going "Yeah that tracks" XD
AND THEN TANG BEING TELEPORTED TO THE KINGDOM OF WOMEN AND BEING OFFERED WATER FROM THE RIVER AND IMMEDIATELY SCREAMING IN TERRORR AND TELEPORTING AWAY WAS FUCKING AMAZING I'M FUCKING CRYINGGGGGG
AND THE- THE BRIEF TELEPORTATION TO NEZHA AND AO BING'S FIGHT?????? HI HELLO I'M GOING FUCKING INSANE
AND THE LADY BONE DEMON CAMEOS...
AND AO LIE!!!!!!!! HEHEHA
I love knowing my JTTW history this is so fucking cool :D
Also, regarding who MK really is, I just wanna say... I FUCKING CALLED IT. I CALLED IT!!! I KNEW, THE MOMENT I SAW MK REVERT TO A STONE EGG IN THE FIRST EPISODE THAT THERE WAS NO WAY HE WASN'T A STONE MONKEY TOO >:D
In fact, depending on how canon fully reveals what's going on MK and his past, I might even be able to say I predicted it w the ITTW lore :p I never did reveal how MK came to be, but I never forgot that piece of lore, so we'll have to see how it holds up to canon, but it looks like my version of the lore is pretty similar to canon but! We'll just have to see :)

DUDE, YOUR AU IS SO COOLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!
trying to think of AU names. i should be studying but. IT'S COOL
tell me about Ao Lie. and Wukong, and his programming backstory. and why Tripitaka is in trouble with the government. and Nezha (obviously, as aroacenezha LMAO). i wanna know everything about that angry little cyberpunk guy. what's his junkyard look like? have any Ao Lie/Nezha spats? is he a main-ish character?
and how does this translate w/ the og story of JTTW? is this just a character idea kind of thing, or some ideas about the scrolls and journey to enlightenment?
look. you put out cool idea and now I will not stop talking. <3
AAAAAHAH THANK YOU!! yeah… not sure what i should name it yet agh…. But I'm sure i'll think of something more clever than cyberpunk jttw! eventually…
rubs hands together lets get to it heheh
ao lie and tripitaka's relationship is one of my favs to draw and write about currently, they both lean on each other super hard for support bc at their core they're both so lonely yet unable to reach out for help. ao lie often has tripitaka pick him up from parties or other events. their friendship has only stayed so strong because ao lie is so insistent that he would get to know the shut off tripitaka.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wukong's old programming was a secret project from the jade city government to raze areas marked as "undesirable" from the city. this is mostly places where resentment towards the government is growing, and poor areas. wukong's original programming was violent and obedient, he had no personality of his own and his only goal was to carry out the current command. but because of this, it was easier for tripitaka to rewire him, as robots with no set personality code can more easily be reprogrammed, as they're almost a blank slate.
Tumblr media
ao lie and wukong… used to not like each other. at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but one night, they got the chance to actually talk to just each other. and after that, they became much friendlier to one another. i want to make a comic based off this so i can't say much for now…
tripitaka is in trouble with the government because he is against it. jade city's government is corrupt and ripe with nepotism. they try and lock out technology from reaching poor areas. so tripitaka builds and creates, so that the defenseless can defend themselves. tripitaka is technically an illegal citizen, nobody is really sure where he's from and he has no official papers stating he is a citizen of jade city. but he's been living in the slums since he was very young. tripitaka also gets into trouble for breaking and entering and trespassing, as he will sometimes need materials that aren't available on the black market and will take matters into his own hands. tripitaka can be a little badass, as a treat. (but i love book tripitaka too)
Tumblr media
though this tripitaka is still a strict pacifist, so his crimes are all non-violent.
nezha!! little nezha thinks he looks very badass, but everyone else wonders… who the hell is dressing this kid LOL. nezha has first hand experienced the inequality of jade city from living in the slums and has becomes extremely protective over the people there. just on the outskirts of his town there is a junkyard he frequents. tripitaka goes there often too, for scrap metal, and sometimes nezha will bring him materials (if tripitaka asks nicely, lmao). when wukong was first sent to raze their town, nezha was able to pin him under steel pipes in the junkyard, making it so tripitaka could reprogram him. nezha is still extremely proud of this. im making a comic based on this moment….
Tumblr media
nezha often will enter tripitaka's home without warning, so the first time he entered with ao lie there, he assumed the worst and jumped to defend tripitaka. ao lie found it hilarious and adorable. ao lie doesn't take nezha very seriously and reminds him often that he has no part in what his family does as he was disowned, but nezha is convinced otherwise and will pester tripitaka constantly to stop talking to ao lie.
Tumblr media
nezha is a main character, he is the connection for tripitaka to the neighborhood. he acts a bit like a scout, alerting tripitaka to events that are happening or people that need help or things fixed. nezha seeks out tripitaka because he knows that tripitaka is dependable and wants the best for people.
as for how it translates to the og story of jttw… in my head, eventually, tripitaka is forced to leave Jade City with his robots and head west. i don't have it all figured out yet, but the scrolls would instead be like… some kind of data. sorry this part is so vague haha, in my head there is a closer resemblance. i currently have the story split into a few parts, and right now we're remaining in jade city.
thank you so much for asking!! i love rambling about these guys….

What is the "burnt marshmallow" LMK AU I've been hearing about?
Burnt Marshmallow!Monkey King AU is basically just a mashup of a couple of hc's and a design I have for Monkey King. Tumblr is being a jerk so I can't just link you some explanation posts so I'm just gonna have to summarize
Headcanon 1: Fire
In jttw the only thing that's really ever hurt Sun Wukong is smoke and fire. He's been burned quite a lot, by the Samhadi fire, lost his sight for a bit due to smoke in his eyes, and way back during the Havoc in Heaven he was actually burned in a furnace for forty-nine days. I created this design (1 2 3) thinking about the results of that that maybe he never fully recovers from that. When he gets out of the furnace it even talks about him having glowing red eyes. I just had the thought of "what if that was more permanent" to the point where his fur never grew back the same way and the areas around his eyes were kinda charred and blackened because they're the most venerable part of him. (Hence the Nickname “Burnt Marshmallow”)
Headcanon 2: Glamours
I was thinking about how, he'd hide his appearance in canon, and in order for glamours to be convincing, he'd have to have some physical substance to them so that people could touch them and not immediately know it was just an illusion. Like if Mk were to reach out and touch his head he'd be able to feel how weirdly course and spiky feeling his fur is in contrast to how soft and fluffy it appears to be, he'd know somethings up. So I hc glamours act as a physical shield between the user and those around them.
Headcanon 3: JTTW
So I actually hold the hc that Tang Sanzang (Tripitaka) was actually afraid of Sun Wukong. (Which, y’know, kind fair. He watched him throw an entire mountain, run at the speed of sound, fly around on a cloud and insta-kill an entire group of bandits with no remorse (and maybe even some glee) in the first day of knowing him so... bGAKWMEOF) Anyway, add on the hc of my design for Wukong, and this monkey is one of the most demonic, terrifying things you’ve ever seen. As the Journey goes on Wukong gets enough self-awareness to realize Tang Sanzang is afraid of him, (which i actually hc as to why he listens to Zhu Bajie more and is so quick to punish and scold Wukong for things) and starts applying glamours little by little to make himself less terrifying. Dulls his teeth, slowly makes his fur change colour, changes his eyes to gold, a more friendly, good looking appearance, gradual enough that he makes it appear natural and if anyone asks he just says his fur’s finally growing out
Conclusion:
Burnt Marshmallow!Monkey King is an AU about how Monkey King is traumatized as heck, is hiding his true appearance and who he is behind a perfect hero persona because he believes he has to in order for people to feel comfortable around him or for him to be treated kindly/loved. He’s also the most touch starved version of Monkey King because after 500 years under a mountain + glamours that prevent people from touching him, he hasn’t actually had physical contact with anyone for close to a thousand years, maybe even more. So like, the moment someone makes contact with him without his glamour on he just shuts down completely, which becomes a problem during battles when his glamour is off. He barely remembers what he actually looks like and wears his glamours constantly out of habit, and not a single person knows about it.
Then Mk and the crew find out.
So it’s basically just a bunch of my hc’s building up until it was an AU of it’s own lol. I’ve made lots of posts about it, but unfortunately Tumblr’s the worst rn and nothing shows up when I search the tag so :’) hopefully this gave you the general gist of it. I’m currently writing a fic about this and it’s taking shape very nicely ngl, very angsty, lots of recover, and deals with a lot of Wukong’s suppression of certain aspects of himself and things bubbling over the top. And then just... him learning that there are people who won’t be scared of him no matter what he looks like, and that they’ll love him regardless, and that he doesn't need to change specific things about himself to make himself lovable, he already is. but yeah. Just Mk and the crew helping him work through a couple thousand years of trauma WOOOO BGAS;LKDFMAOWE
My favourite part of the fic so far is when he climbs a tree :P

Random head cannons for the jttw gang
Okay, one for each
Sun Wukong: After being sealed away for, 500-years, he developed autophobia: fear of being alone. He'd scream for who knows how long but due to the seal, he could hear beings outside but they could only hear him if they stepped into the tunnel- which tend to freak them out more than incite them to come inside.
He also has a potent fear of failure, throughout his life he never really dealt with it. There was the fall to the Celestial Realm, and Buddha, but it hasn't quite hit him yet- more so he's avoiding it. The "Great Handsome Monkey King: Great Sage (Equal to Heaven)", just doesn't fail. He can't. Ergo, he doesn't know how to cope or deal with failure, it just doesn't compute. He tends to have an avoidance habit with things like this, or joke it off.
He's also asexual aromantic, he holds value over platonic or familial relationships over everything else. In-part due to the fact he was born without a biological family. This is why he's eager to make friends and family members out of people he likes. Unfortunately, he's very poor at managing said relationships.
Pigsy: Like with his LMK incarnation, he's a great cook. It was something he got into rather recently, in order to woo Cuilan and show her he was serious about bettering himself, he picked up cooking as humans can't really eat demon slop (to put it generously) that he'd been eating.
He also likes poetry, but is poor at writing it and prefers to read or recite.
He's adept at wind magic which he used to quell seas which he was Reed-Parting Marshal in the Celestial Realm, or at least break up dangerous waves. He also uses it to amp up his flying in bursts. Instead of the 72-Transformations he settled for the 34 pack because it was something easier to handle and he didn't need to warp his physical form because (at the time) he was actually rather handsome and didn't like messing with his image too much, this bit him latter on but he still isn't bothered to go the whole yard.
He's a hopeless admirer of beauty in all things, not just women, but wherever he sees it, but tries to hide it where he feels would be too "out of norm" which is why only certain things slips out. Cuilan got to see this side of him because he slipped up about scenery and enjoyed it.
Sandy: Being a water demon, he needs more well- water, than the rest of the group to keep hydrated. Thankfully, because of his water magic, it's never in short supply, but he finds it more taxing to do if he's over heated.
He also likes poetry.
Post-journey, he's either like to continue being a guard to Tripataka, possibly his monastery, or be hermit out in the woods, enjoying nature.
Ao Li: Being a son of a sea king, he's not actually very good at utilizing his fire-breath. He can spew it yes, but has haphazard control over it. He's somewhat insecure about that.
As a horse, he likes his snout getting stroked by Tripataka (in particular) but allows that others to do so because it sooths him. He tries not to show it with the others.
He wanted to be a proper prince growing up, getting married in all that, but after his banishment, plenty of time to think, he realizes he doesn't really know what that means for him. Or if he even wants it anymore but does want his family back.
He doesn't like his horns being touched. They're like his pride and joy. Tripataka can tho.
Tripataka: Every year, he grieves his mother's death wherever he's at, creating a makeshift grave if need be. He's tried to move on but has difficulty understanding what she did, even though he knows what brought it on. Part of why he wants to get the scrolls is to hopefully put her spirit at rest, thereby getting closure for himself.
He just does not know how to handle women, growing up in a monastery and is rather intimidated by them. Utter blue-screen when confronted. He does his best to be cordial and respectful even still.

You being one of the few people who write shadowpeach with 'wukong killed macaque' in mind is one of the reasons why I follow you!! Others being just. I like how you characterize lmk characters in general and your writing is fun to read.
But if we're talking about the shadowpeach murder fight (and if you don't wanna get into this just ignore the rest of this ask) I'd love to hear any thoughts you have on it? Like is there something that you think did or didn't happen that you think no one's really talked/no one you've seen really talk about? Like, I always think that the final blow wasn't an instant kill? And Wukong backed off.
So Macaque watched Wukong 'leave' while he was dying (since he always focuses on Wukong leaving him, not the actual death) and Wukong went into denial and rationalized it (cause in the show Wukong does NOT act like a guy who buried his lover/best friend to said best friend). I always thought that'd be a fun angle to explore for canon/an au.
Aw, thank you! Not trying to be arrogant or what have you, but yeah, there aren't very many who write with Wukong Doing a Murder in mind.
Hold on, I have to shift into canon to answer that. And I'm probably gonna mess up, because tbh, I haven't thought about canon in a long ass time LMFAOOOO
ngl, I like both options of Wukong leaving Macaque to die AND it being a powerful final blow that did Macaque in. And you know, since I'm a little unhinged, I like playing around with motivation. Like maybe Wukong enjoyed doing it, enjoyed proving which one of them was stronger. I dunno.
(kicks a rock) maybe while Wukong was on the journey, fighting macaque brought back memories of those fun times when he could be reckless. And I like to play with that bc in JTTW Macaque is the embodiment of all of Wukong's negativity, which can be translated or interpreted as his "darkness." The parts of himself he's trying to run away from.
I like to play along with like "Maybe Macaque was being a little asshole and had to be stopped" y'know, like DBK. Just for funsies.
I also like to play around with "Wukong was an illusion cast by someone else" because it ties into the whole "Macaque pretended to be Wukong" in JTTW. I like illusions playing some part in that fight. Like, perhaps Wukong saw an illusion and thought Macaque was another evil demon that he fought before, while Macaque saw someone else, too. Like maybe they were BOTH fooled.
Also love it being like "Macaque wanted Wukong's attention and Wukong rejected that and said they're not friends anymore" love that flavor, thanks! Maybe because Wukong wanted to kill any remnants of his life before the journey or at least like. stop hanging out with those people who threw an uprising in Heaven and thought that was a solid plan.
As for the burial thing.... 🤔 I think it's cool if Wukong did bury Macaque and when he sees him again, he's initially scared af and confused...but Macaque attacks him and doesn't give Wukong answers. And I think, when we first see them interact in the show, isn't the first time they've interacted since Macaque came back to life. I don't think that because the story is centered on MK and Macaque saw an opportunity to manipulate MK to get his powers and use that to try and beat Wukong. He's just searching for ways to kill this monkey LMFAO
BUT ALSO...not burying Macaque is spicy too. leaving your best friend's/former lover's corpse on the side of the road? damn, how do we come back from that... huh.
Fun fact! Wukong did bury Macaque in constellations AU. but we'll get into that in the epilogue...perhapeth.

Sorry just realized something funny about the Shadowpeach pregnancies.
First it was one (MK), then two (Eclipse Twins) and now three (Lunar Node Triplets). Maybe it is a good thing they are not interested in having any more magical pregnancies, if this keeps up they will be having quadruplets or quintuplets.
Haha! It was more a happy accident on my part XD
But yeah, Shadowpeach best be careful making more kids in the future. The "Buy 1, get 2 Free" situation with the Lunar Node Triplets have probably made them more wary when planning for future infants.
I wanted Macaque's little toyline shadow clones/Eclipse Twins (LMK) to be their kids, then I wanted the non-canon Yuebei Xing and ofc I had to include her brothers Jidu and Luohou (all three from "Journey to the South") cus they're so cool.
There are other "unofficial" kids of Sun Wukong in extended Journey to the West-inspired media that I wouldn't really count tho.
King Pāramitā (+4 unseen brothers) from "A Supplement to the Journey to the West" - set between an alternate timeline of Chapters 61 and 62 where Tripitaka gets kidnapped by a time traveller (even in 1640 people were pulling that trope) that somehow convinced him to give up the pilgrimage. King Pāramitā and his four brothers were apparently concieved when SWK accidentally got PIF knocked up when he transformed himself into a stomach bug/parasite in order to extort the Fan from her (Chapter 59 of JttW). I find that situation a bit too uncomfy/medically inaccurate so no. If anything I'd give Ironbull the bonus five kids, and that Pāramitā was the result of SWK accidentally lifting a curse from the couple - like when parents joke that their kid's "true parent" was a bottle of alcohol.
And since LMK's MK himself is likely a whole reference to Sun Luzhen from "Later Journey to the West" (17th century), it would be a little redundant to make a Sun Luzhen kid. Does give my Wukongverse idea of each of the SWKs having an "MK" weight tho.
In hindsight; between my au Shadowpeach's bio and adopted kids, I accidentally gave SWK the "five sons" (MK, Rumble, Jidu & Luohou, + the adopted Chenxiang) he's said to have had in A Supplement. XD
I would like to thank @journeytothewestresearch for their endless dedication and research into these sort of topics, since I use their articles as sources. I apologise for using your research as fanfic material. Go check their website out if you got any Jttw questions.

Pigsy character sheet! 🐷🍜
(It's a work in progress...)
Is it bad that my second favorite character is the main character's father?? Also, PIGSY IS MK'S FATHER!! NOT WUKONG!! Don't get me wrong, I love Wukong BUT HE IS NOT THE FATHER!! *Insert Jerry Spinger meme* Ya know a oneshot I'm working on, (and just a silly headcannon I've seen that isn't that popular but it's cute) is that Pigsy adopted both Mk and Wukong. Like he got used to Wukong and just decided "Yep I need another one." and Wukong is Mk's big brother. It's cute okay. (Also I'm pretty sure that Tripitaka was a father figure to some extent to Wukong. I can't fact check that because I've never read Jttw but I think it's cute that Tang would be a father too Wukong twice after Wukong lost his family. (I don't know, I like it.)
Anyway back to Pigsy. Pigsy is a very underrated character and I wish he just got a bit more outta him. Like I know he's in I think every episode but I just wish we knew a little more about him. Like does he have siblings? How did he meet Tang and Sandy? Why does he yell at Tang for being a freeloader but still provide him food?
(I know the answer, they're married/srs.)
These don't have to be episodes or anything but I wish we knew a bit more. Exept the Tang one. I do genuinely want to know how they met. We knew from a photo in Pigsy's kitchen that they graduated together but HOW did we get there?? Just curious. Anyways back to my drawing and why I added stuff I added!!(Stuff will change so be prepared)
☆ Why he is so scruffy/fluffy??
1. I like the idea that Pigsy is a mix between a boar and just a normal fluffy pig. His mom is a boar and his dad is pig. I don't think female boars have tusk but shut up okay!! Let me have this. I just like the idea alot that Tang is this polished, rich boy while Pigsy is this fucking scruffy wild animal.
(Same dynamic with Wukong and Macaque. Wukong is this fluffy, golden, heart shaped monkie and Macaque is this scraggily animal.)
☆ Trans Pig??
2. Yes. I whole hearted believe that Pigsy is FtM. So is Mk. I just have this silly idea that Mk came out to both Pigsy and Wukong as Trans (Pigsy first obviously) and they both responded "Same kid." (I like Genderfluid Wukong but that's still under the Trans umbrella so ehh.)
☆ Lil details you might not have noticed.
1. Mk's little front hair part that sticks out of his headband is in the same shape as Pigsy's ears.
2. Pigsy has rips in his ears because he used to get into fights at school. (Another oneshot idea i'm working on where Pigsy is being made fun of like always so Tang decides to one punch man his bullies. Yeah Tang gets his ass beat and Pigsy and Tang get emotional.)
I believe that while most of Megapolis is accepting of demons and monsters not all parts like demons. Especially back when Pigsy and Tang were in middle and high school. It's better now be he still has scars from it.
3. Pigsy's wedding ring is on his right hand on the drawing to the left. Pigsy has a pretty and shiny wedding ring from Tang while Tang has essentially a tinfoil for a ring because Pigsy's couldn't afford much. (Pigsy feels bad about it but Tang wears that thing likes it's gold so he obviously likes it ALOT.)
4. Pigsy has both darker and lighter parts of fur. I have no explanation for this. Let's pretend it's because boars are darker than pigs so his Mom's fur tone is shining through. (Also that stupid "Pigs roll around in dirt and mud joke.")
5. I know I've talked about my oneshots on Wattpad (that's aren't out yet cause I want them to be good.) But for a Freenoodles oneshot I'm working on I 100% believe that Tang brags about Pigsy.
6. I updated my Tang design! If you look at my Instagram you can see this ugly art I did for Tang and Pigsy and they alot diffrent then I drew them three months ago. (Yes I am slow when I update.) I really like the way I drew him. His hair is really fun to draw.
I think this is as much as I wanna talk about this drawing. I've gone on long enough and I wanna work on other art projects. Anyways live, laugh, love Pigsy 🐷🩷!!

Was thinking about the macaque spirit king again and remembered you did mention her in SKW assassins backstory post and that they trained under them.
So for an Idea for her backstory revolves around the fact that to the rest Aioli, FFM was Paradise on earth and was constantly invaded before wukong really made a name for himself. So, it's only imaginable what life was for for less lucky demon populations. The trope they belonged was in one of the worst parts of the continent and was constantly fighting for survival, let alone have time to really enjoy themselves at least to the extent of their FFM counterparts.
It's mostly that she was able not only to keep the physical and environmental threats at bay, but was about to shape what was once a personal hell for them into a strong safe haven that enabled them to thrive, creating the kingdom they know today as well as raising up to be the macaque spirit king. She's very much shaped by her experience being very reserved and a bit aloof to outsiders, which reflects in their cultural mindset with a few exceptions, can be seen as the opposite as FFM's. A bit of a everyone pulls there own weight, where only as strong as our weakness link type beat, but is still very put a high value on community and helping each other out and doesn't tolerates disingenuous actions or using others for your own gain, FFM mount definitely has a similar mindset, but I just they MSK kingdom takes it to a whole new level.
SWK and MSK could have met before the alliance was made through SKW travels since I like the idea of the area around their territory still being very rough and general being impressed with him making it through it by himself. She could find the FFM citizens abit annoying and the rest of her subjects to an extent, but also admits they have a bit of a charm to them, especially with what lengths to maintain a status that enables them to have that type of freedom, especially after the recovery from the fire.
As for her and macaque's checkered past, I can definitely say for as close as macaque came to his goal in jttw, especially fooling the gods to an extent, that wasn't his first time, mix that and the culture of MSK kingdom, it isn't an surprise it ended the way it did. He was mostly born or introduced in low on the totem pole, since if there are likely other six earred macaques and you where just named six earred macaque, you weren't cared for, I'm sorry. Likely caused trouble was the last straw was likely him trying to gain some power with his usually stick and possibly got other hurt or did in the process and they just took him by all six ears and threw him out. I think what really made her antagonistic towards him was the early days of him and SWK relationship and the eventual fall out. When was very much enraged when she found out he was welcomed at FFM and her catching word of his fondness for SWK just made the fire worse. She most likely tried everything in the book to take him out of it, but it continued. And after everything was said and done, their mind was set on SEM.
They was upset a SWK for not taking their warnings, but her angry and vitriol lays with SEM. He was given a second chance in their he wasn't completely deserving of and gave him everything and more, but in SWK moment of weakness and need was the first to turn against him, if it met getting what he wanted damn how it effects everyone else and his actions during and after proved that to her. Even, if and when he makes amends and him and SWK start again, she's going to give him credit where it's due, but she's never going to go beyond that and takes everything his does at face value and with a handful of salt. And I think they're saying would be "new coat, same starving dog. It will become despite at the slightest hardship and will be willing to bite the hand that nurtures it, if that means a meal." They're trying to be happy for SWK, but as soon as SEM slips up or reverts back, she will make sure it will be his last.
On a lighter note, LOVE the Idea of her and Nezha bounding over their distaste of macaque and even help her nephew with the means to torture his stepdad😂 she's truly the mean, opinionated childless rich lesbian auntie that always has a special new weapon to make your stepdad's life a bit more of a living hell as a treat.
FUNNILY ENOUGH I SAW HER AS AS SHE/THEY GAY!! but i love the final idea yes yes so TRUE
I LOVE ALL OF THIS SO MUCH??? I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!
I actually played around a little and made her a reincarnation (Su Yijun) and.. yknow if this was the MSK I wouldn't mind! (though i made them more soft spoken and empathic and selectively mute so 👀!!!)
Here they are:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like the idea of her personality being more brash and outspoken in the past (like what you said) and then regaining that side of himself when he gets his memories back!
But i love this sm thank you for sharing it im FOAMING at the mouth at the idea of them being an uncle to Nezha PLEASE
