i think what people including tubbo himself dont get about tubbo is that tubbo is like. a minecraft jack of all trades. hes not The Best at anything but hes genuinely really good at like all the main aspects of minecraft and obviously hes really good at create and understanding mods and even the mechanics of minecraft. but so often he psychs himself out and also he constantly downplays his own abilities so people constantly underestimate him and ignore evidence that he is Really Good 😭 hes not a speciality guy (outside of create Right Now) hes well rounded

qPhil headcanons masterlist
Family walks, Chayanne on Phil's shoulders and Tallulah on Missa's. Or they do that thing where there's one kid between them and they take either hand and lift/swing them together.
Family gardening. Missa using his reaper scythe to harvest things, Chayanne and Tallulah replanting seeds, Phil going full crow brain and hoarding all the harvested crops in crates.
The kids are Phil & Missa's biggest wingmen. Tallulah will lead them somewhere and then be like "Oh. Oh nooo, oh noooo my asthmaaaa" and teleport away. And then suddenly there's Chayanne with a table for 2 and an entire kitchen setup with a dinner in progress.
They'll plot "relaxation" days for Phil and Missa too. It's a toss-up if either of them actually relax though. Missa's better at it than Phil at least.
No one cheered harder about the prison kisses than Chayanne and Tallulah. They wish their dads a very "do it again. Often."
Phil and Missa are constantly conspiring together about cool things to do with/for the kids. Even when they're away from each other they'll write books leaving the other a message like "shhh don't tell the kids :)"
They'll also plan days Just for one of the kids where whatever the family does is centered around their interests. It's nice for them, because although they have mutual interests and are more than willing to do whatever the other wants, they still have unique interests and it can naturally get tiring being a package deal. Especially when so many of the other eggs are only children and get doted on by their parents with undivided attention
They get separation sadness a lot bc reaper duties and Phil's extremely deep sleep/vivid dreams keep them apart so often, but their little system of leaving gifts (Missa his paintings, Phil misc trinkets) for each other works. It's not as good as a hug or quality time though :(
Everyone's passing each other's accents to one another. Missa finds himself slipping up saying "bewk" (book) or some shit, meanwhile Phil keeps saying stuff with a Spanish accent because of Missa and Tallulah and everyone keeps adopting German words into their vocabulary because of Chayanne.
Phil and Missa are both good at pvp, they love sparring with each other and teaching the kids. Chayanne is way more into it than Tallulah, but Tallulah loves to learn regardless, and she loves hearing Phil infodump about strategy and timing and whatnot.
Missa and the kids will team up and get Phil on one of his Philzaing rants. They'll be like "what do you MEAN you couldn't physically carry all three of us on a flight? :(" and there Phil goes, raving about how weight matters with flying and safety and blah blah blah. And he KNOWS they're getting a rise out of him most of the time. Yet he falls for it every time.
One day,, one day we'll get a 4/4 family build project,,, They want to do it do bad,, So far it's just been 3/4 make it and the 4th is delighted to be shown it by the kids whenever they're around again.
Phil and the kids have started half-purposely obtaining as many birds as they have bc it's funny to see Missa come back from reaper duties to MORE birds that he just has to accept live there now.
The kids love Phil's crow murder to death (pun intended) and are used to interacting with them. Missa not so much. Which has made for countless funny moments. He's still bewildered that they're so attuned to throwing something shiny at him and then aggressively cawing. He doesn't understand them like Phil can.
Something something the four of them having a seance together where Tallulah taps into her medium abilities to communicate with Kristin bc Goddess of Death is part of the Death Family. She loves to tease Missa (usually about Phil) and she ADORES the kids.

okay I'll bite. what's the deal with the life series. what's the lore. what's your favorite thing about it. I wanna understand the Posts
huge win for the me community let's go. okay. idk your minecraft knowledge level so i am going to explain as though it's zero bc mine was basically zero when i started watching.
so. the life series (also known as 3rd life, bc that's the first season) is a minecraft survival multiplayer series, which essentially means it's a server where you can die. in fact, it is a death game! everyone on the server has three lives; if you die three times, you're out of the series. your goal is to be the last one standing. additionally, when you're down to your last life, you are expected and honor-bound to engage in pvp and ruin your alliances. your goal is Murder.
there are five seasons out right now with different gimmicks, each one has the same core cast with some changes - essentially it's a bunch of friends who will take any excuse to kill each other, but with increasingly weird and complex political factions and interpersonal dynamics. people are out here swearing fealty. there are betrayals. there are team banners. there's a season where they build a complex net of paths in the sky and drop tnt on one another.
it's one of those things where there is some lore/plot and you can take it as seriously or not-seriously as you want! yay! i for one love to go the "let's take this to its logical horrifying conclusion" route but some people are here for the sillies and that's good too. the fanart game is insane, people are making renaissance paintings and stuff.
anyways, this explanation is a mess, so i will go on to reccing povs, because there are ~15 people in each season and they're all posting videos and that can get overwhelming! there's not really a "right" order but when i started, @charaznablescanontoyota gave me the excellent advice of "start with the winner of each season and then whenever you're curious about something watch that next" - if you like that route and don't mind knowing who wins,

anyways here's the list of winners, the wiki is a pretty good reference to have on hand. HOWEVER. i will also add that everyone has a different style! some people edit things very short, some people do long videos, some people are builders and some are very into the roleplay - i bounced pretty hard off the first pov i watched but switching to someone else worked for me, so in a way having so many options is great bc it means you can shop around, so to speak.
and i will close this out with a few of my personal favorite seasons! just for funsies.
inthelittlewood 3rd life (s1) - probably my personal fave. in which an early game alliance becomes an intensely charged king/knight relationship that they both take WAY too seriously (honorific)
smallishbeans last life (s2) - have you ever wanted to watch someone do a very, very bad job at murdering a lot of people?
pearlescentmoon double life (s3) - in a season where everyone has canonical soulmates, pearl ends up the odd woman out because her soulmate doesn't want to be with her. it is an insane and compelling character arc
ldshadowlady secret life (s5) - diversity win! this woman is so so bad at "what if minecraft were taskmaster"
and as a side note i tend to prefer the tightly edited stuff, so if you know that you Do Not prefer that, i would point you towards ethoslab secret life or grian 3rd life! or tbh still towards pearl double life.

what would the skeletons do first if they opened a minecrap server ie. speedrun build fight etc.
Undertale Sans - Trolling lol. He gives himself admins rights somehow and pranks players all day. It's entertaining. He loves to prepare elaborate pranks so people don't know he's lurking in the shadows.
Undertale Papyrus - HUGE constructions. He's a great builder, it helps him to relax. The only problem is that he tends to build a lot of big things that take him months to finish: castles, continents, entire towns... Once he starts, you're not seeing him out of his room for two weeks lol.
Underswap Sans - Fight, of course. He loves PVP and taunting every player he can find. His armor and weapons are the strongest of the server, and he is still trying to upgrade them so he can be even stronger. He loves fighting.
Underswap Papyrus - Farming. He loves to breed animals until the server can't handle it anymore and lags. He tries to have all the animals of the game in a huge zoo. He's working really hard on the enclosure so each of them has a nice place to live in.
Underfell Sans - He loves to explore. He walks millions of blocks, and fights as many enemies. He wants to see how far he can go, do every dungeon possible and have the best items of the game.
Underfell Papyrus - He's a casual player, he comes only to talk with people and help where he can. Even if he's often cold and unwelcoming, he's searching for people to talk to because solo worlds often bore him.
Horrortale Sans - He's a farmer. He breeds animals and watches over the crops, and he's really fine with it. He can't wander too far anyway because he often gets lost and has to call his brother for help to come and fetch him.
Horrortale Papyrus - He loves playing mini-games, like hide and seek, hunger games, murder mysteries... He wants to be the best at every game with offensive scores that no one can reach. Too bad his reflexes are not that good anymore. Willow is raging a lot.
Swapfell Sans - He likes roleplay servers, where he can freely be dramatic and cause chaos. He lives for the drama. He's the main villain of the server and he can't stop doing evil things so everyone gets pissed off at him. He's also in a relationship with 20 people or something and watch them fight to death to have 10 seconds of attention.
Swapfell Papyrus - Speedrun! He's trying to get better and better at going fast to the Enderdragon. He's part of a big community and tries to reach the top score, slowly. He's getting better and better at this. He reached the top 10 once!
Fellswap Gold Sans - He's a player killer. When he sees someone he doesn't like, he hunts them down and camps them for hours just to see them have a breakdown. He's having fun.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's a redstone genius. He builds huge machines for fun, just to build traps or automatize his crops. He loves the possibilities the game is offering, and with mods, he's unstoppable now.

I honestly feel like we're all underestimating Mike as a potential president?
I particularly like his ideas about making sure everyone has similar access to resources like a good home, food, and tools.
In terms of keeping players active, making sure everyone has good, resources, especislly tools and armor is really important. Etoiles has said he probably would have quit day 1 if he hadnt been given as much as he was, and its pretty clear to see from his recent streams that Slime not having. Anything. Is a real hurdle for him getting back into lore- he didn't even know what a warp stone WAS until Fit gave him one and explained it.
Newer players are not going to know the mods well. They arent going to know their best options for food and armor, they arent going to know how to get a lot of the materials people use every day for travel or building, and they arent going to know what to expect from the mobs.
Even for players that aren't new, lacking equivalent materials is going to be a big demotivator for peoole who haven't spent as much time grinding to get back into lore, or even just playing frequently. I'd love to see more qsmp content from Spreen, Luzu, Missa, Mariana, or Vagetta, but the server has changed so much from when they were more active to now that they'd probably feel pretty lost trying to get back into it. Charlie is having the same problem, and I won't be surprised if it happens to Wilbur for a bit as well.
This problem can be and has been solved. So far, its been solved through the generosity of other players. BadBoyHalo gave Etoiles a log of the materials he needed to start out, Fit has given Charlie a warp stone now and others have offered him things like armor, I imagine Phil will give Wilbur some stuff, and explain how it works, ect. This is all great, but having a standardized system in place to make SURE less rich players are taken care of would be a fantastic idea.
It isn't even neccesarily about everyone having great gear, just similar. In the begining obviously no one had many of the things they do now, but it was still fun because they were on the same level. Its certainly less fun for someone who has been away for a while to come back and not be able to travel the same way everyone else does, die to mobs way more often, stand little to no chance in pvp regardless of skill, and just generally not understand how to even go about making a lot of the progress everyone else has made.
A president who makes sure people have reasonably matched materials and a house as a starting point before they build their own sounds like a good president to me!
I know Etoiles proposes something similar, which I also approve of. For similar reasons I also really really like Insane Duo's 4D lore museam experience. I hope whoever wins takes all of these ideas into consideration, and they communicate together and settle on a good way to provide these resources, provide information about how they work, as well as some other generally important information about the mods, and make sure the base line level of materials granted is kept up to date as players continue to progress

🦅 Galileo - really just spends his whole time building a little house with a beautiful flower garden and what not, does his best to help anyone out and even has a little set of chests where others can pick things out and stuff. Really just number one Minecraft dad
🦅 Storvis - entire time grinding (even if he’s meh at it since he’s too hardheaded to listen to tips or anything) and getting the best gear he can, will grief anyone who gets in his way. Do NOT ask his ass for help, he will bully you and then exterminatus your base. Often steals all the stuff out of Galileo’s chests and makes fun of his flower garden- doesn’t dare touch it tho, made the mistake of blowing it up once and was nearly obliterated in game and then in real life—
⚙️ Kallisch (mantis Magos) and L-319 (Crab Logis) - they don’t play too much but when they do they kind of just follow one another around on mining trips and put their beds together all the time. Sometimes you’ll find these huge mega structures they built solely out of like copper blocks of the cog mechanicum or something nerdy ass shit like that
⚙️ ‘Delta’ (Beetle Explorator) - sole purpose is to travel as far as they can manage, huge nether railways all neatly labeled with names they made up and shit. Probably has some underground bunker they made just filled with a “living Pokédex” of every mob in the game and such ( something like this )
⚙️ Thanatos (Dominus centipede) - K I L L . not as much of an asshole as Storvis is but much more calculated. Has his weapons and armor min maxed with their enchantments and has done so many raids he has just a fucking sea of totems of undying, had killed the ender dragon single handedly several times and in so many different ways with such horrific efficiency it would make any sort of Minecraft YouTuber cry at the title possibilities. Has this mega base that’s armed to the teeth with booby traps, just loaded with beacons too bc he’s probably got a Wither farm or some shit. I pray for the soul who wants to PvP him, not even Storvis dares
⚙️ Rure (Silverfish Logis) - doesn’t really understand how the game works, mostly just hides out by Galileo, he thinks the flowers are pretty though and the bees are neat! Has little collection of wolves Galileo helped him tame and builds them dog houses (Galileo showed them). Figured out you can name animals and fish up name tags so they spend a lot of time doing that. Living their best life really

QSMP DAY 27 LORE UPDATE
The day started decently calm, with people just doing their things and completing the egg quests. However we should note that the Census Bureau, aka Cucurucho/Osito Bimbo appeared before pretty much everyone to handle the invitations for the funeral. This is how some people, particularly the eggs, found out who had died exactly, and prompted some sad grieving scenes like Chayanne's upon learning he couldn't protect Tilín.
The funeral itself began later at a church built by the QSMP Federation. There were a bunch of cameras hidden around the building which turned out to be Slime's so he could watch since he can't be there physically due to his exile. However, people misinterpreted these cameras and thought they belonged to the Federation, so the Theorist Trio (Maxo, Bad and Foolish) started sharing their theories about the true nature of the island and the intentions of the Federation with everyone else, as well as suspecting the strange truce between them and the angel when supposedly they didn't get along.
Meanwhile we have to very depressed members in the audience. Mariana shows up being a mess and acting suicidal, with people having to stop him from killing himself, which hurts Slime who begs at him to stop through the cameras (pain). On his part, Quackity arrives talking about wanting to move on, but he quickly gets mad at people laughing and tells them to remember the eggs are temporal (least resentful man in the server).
The childless fathers give each a speech about their children (and have a few breakdowns) and with that the funeral seems to be over, but things don't end here. They go out, explode one of Slime's cameras thinking it was from the Federation and talk for a bit, with Roier telling Quackity about some books that might help him revive Tilín (wonder where he might have heard that from).
Then Cucurucho appears again, and they take Quackity aside to this weird room with Rubius and tell him to wait. Soon enough, a wall opens to reveal Tilín. Quackity is overjoyed to see his child, but unfortunately they can only have a five minute conversation. Quackity begs Rubius to revive them, but that's not possible, so father and egg have a conversation where Quackity finally expresses how much he loves Tilín and how much he misses them.
After saying a final goodbye, Quackity leaves and goes to Tilín's grave to leave a note expressing his love for them, then closes the grave for good. He then meets Angel!Rubius and asks him questions about the island and when they can leave, to which Rubius says they can never leave and that they might discover what the island is soon. He also said he could talk with other gods to try and allow Quackity to have more conversations with Tilín.
Meanwhile, back at the church, Maxo is allowed to see his son Trump one final time. However, he initially doesn't believe he's the real Trump and starts making questions that slowly derive to the methods of the Federation to bring him back. When he starts making too many questions he gets pulled aside. Maxo is now considering making an alliance with Devil!Rubius since he doesn't trust the Federation to bring Trump back.
MEANWHILE, Slime comes out of hiding and him and Mariana are allowed to see Flippa, making one last backflip together as a family and saying goodbye. Slime and Mariana decide to work together as a family to find a way to bring their daughter back. Also, Mariana made a statue of JuanaFlippa which he showed to Slime.
Meanwhile again, people outside the church are having conversations, with Bad and Spreen fighting until they decide to have a PVP duel by Quackity's suggestion. If Spreen won, he would be allowed to kill Dapper once, while if Bad did, Spreen would have to leave them alone forever. Spreen won, but he has yet to do something to Dapper (even the Update accounts in Twitter are confused at this lmao).
Quackity and Slime also had a PVP duel, and though Slime won the first round, he let Quackity hurt him and kill him the second round so he could cope with his grief.
And after that not much happened. Everyone went their separate ways and ended the day... Calmer day than I expected tbh

So I might have made Rottmnt headcanons… 10 to be exact… But this is only part two…
Some of them are based on funny ideas, others on real events with me and my own family. Each is labeled on who the headcanon is for, so if you are looking for specific ones for just Leo, It's there. Most of them though are either doubles or all of them together. Hope you enjoy it! If you guys like it, I make more of these.
Part 1
(Also just a heads up… NO TCEST!!! MY GOD, THEY ARE FAMILY! DO NOT SHIP THEM!!! AHHHH!!)
Minecraft (All of them, but they each have a paragraph)
They all play Minecraft, That's just facts.
April was the one to introduce it to them, she is really good at the game and can both build and do PVP well, but she mainly works with Building. She mainly makes minigames for the boys to go through and watches them suffer. She also has a dog army she named the Mayhem gang.
Raph is not the best at the game at all, but he loves adopting every animal he sees, including Creepers, Zombies, Endermen, and Phantoms. His entire base is covered in them
Donnie is the best at Redstone and basic building ideas, But he is horrible at PVP. The problem is that he keeps challenging people to PVP and then running away when he realizes he won't win. The only person he has beaten in a fight is Raph. But he died after because he forgot Raph has pet creepers and got blown up. Raph was sad his creeper died and Donnie had to pay him back
Mikey is an amazing builder and okay with PVP, at least knows the basics of it. He makes these crazy builds and usually has these giant builds in the process of being made. The problem is actually being committed, He has a bunch of half-made buildings, that he left to go work on something else. And he won't let anyone else touch them so they stay half-built forever.
Leo on the other hand is really good at PVP but horrible at the building. Which does not help when he wants to just chill. He likes to pull pranks on everyone on the server when bored and will scare others by being really quiet and then just showing up randomly to say hi. He mainly messes with Raph and Mikey. (Also he and Donnie made an Iron farm together and have a “Drug deal” with Mikey where Mikey can take all the Iron from it if Mikey builds for them)
Splinter does play the game, but he mainly just messes around. He dies a lot and gets a bit upset at the game, but he likes to hang out with his kids and see what they are doing. He has a dead fish as his sword and smacks drown with it. He also has been free from Leo’s pranks, because Leo feels bad for his Dad, and tries to help him out.
Not normal collections... But to them it is. (The brothers)
All the boys have something they collect that is strange.
Mikey collects stickers and has an entire wall to them. They are all random and some of them he made himself. By the way, when I say a wall. I mean WALL! It’s an entire wall with stickers covering every inch. You can’t see the paint anymore.
Raph collects Stuff animals, yes. But he also collects fluffy blankets and pillows and sleeps with every single one. He has been known for stealing his brother’s pillows and blankets before and has not given them back until someone steals them. And no, he is not even making a nest with it. He sleeps with all of these normally. And yes, he does have some bodypillows he has stolen from Donnie in there. But none of them have anime characters on them. They are just blank. Because they are the best.
Leo collects comics, Action figures, and posters. Normal stuff. But he also collects Chinese fortune cookies fortunes. One day he just started doing it, and he has yet to stop. Luckily they don’t have Chinese much since they love pizza and have that all the time. But when they do, he asks everyone for their fortunes. Donnie tries to throw away his before Leo can get it, but Donnie has caught Leo going through the trash to get them. That's when they knew they had a problem and had to have a sit-down and tell him he needs to stop. …He has not stopped, but he does not go dumpster diving for them now.
Donnie’s strange collection would be useful if he actually used it. He likes to collect boxes. No reason why, he just does. He thinks he could make something out of them, or use them for storage, but never does. Now there are a bunch of random boxes in his lab. And you would think he would throw them away. But he won't. (Might I also add these are not cardboard boxes, These are boxes with cool designs or interesting ways to open them. He has also secret container boxes that he saw online once.) His brothers will take some of the boxes from him and will throw them away for him. Making him believe they just needed the boxes for storage. And he won't even notice if one is missing.
Sour (Leo)
Leo eats lemons, Not squeezed lemons or flavored lemon things. Just Lemons. He likes the sour taste. That's it. He just really likes sour tastes.
Winter (Starts just Mikey and Splinter, then full fam)
When little tots, Mikey and Splinter to the surface on a summer day to get some stuff, and Mikey saw a random happy old dude with a white beard and a red t-shirt. And Instantly started yelling out Santa. Splinter was so embarrassed and ran away as soon as the guy turned around. Splinter then had to have the talk about how you can’t call people that.
One time the boys decided they wanted to try catching Santa, so they got cameras and hid somewhere near the ceiling in hopes to see it. But when looking down there, they saw Splinter putting the gifts down. For a day they thought maybe their dad WAS Santa, before Splinter heard what they were talking about, and decided to tell them the truth.
During winter, The boys go more feral and want more cuddles and sleep. They stack up on food, make little dens, and might even kidnap each other for cuddles. The worst is with Donnie who for some reason always surprise attacks one of his brothers and pulls them into his nest and forces them for cuddles. When it’s over he pretends it never happened. The brothers have their own tally of who was kidnapped each year. With Leo being in the lead. April and Splinter were spared somehow and the others don't know how.

What would I like to see in terms of MC 2023 content? I can't think of a single thing. Building, pvp, competitions, rp... It has all been made into content ad nauseam. Lockdown provided so much content that it burned through any originality more quickly. I am sure it will come back around again, but for now I would think that anyone who has some kind of a Plan B in terms of content needs to get on with it. There isn't enough room for the glut of creators that came out in the last couple of years, and the slower people are in moving on the less likely they will find a niche for themselves. They need to understand what they bring to the table outside of gameplay and lean into that for future content.
The ironic thread between the themes of this conversation is that I find myself enjoying the Minecraft speed builds the most out of the YouTube shorts lineup on my feed. Short and sweet, ah a little house, and then we’re done. I’ve never been the type for build videos but shorts are cute.
The point on how the boom makes the bust is good to touch on. You need to have had too much of something to get burned out on it, so even having something really good can get too much after a while once the novelty wears off. This ask has been sitting for a little bit which means I’ve had time to reflect on what I would want out of Minecraft, and if that can tell me anything about what other people want. I know I’m always going to want character and stories the most so Minecraft has been a come-and-go for me because it can be a great backdrop for human stories to stand out against and interlace with, but when the game begins to overshadow or hold the people back it can become an issue. I feel like I have a general hunger for something else, but I’m also liking Origins as a setting, so that might just be part of me feeling under stimulated.
Tommy is going to try and figure out how to work the Minecraft front, but he’s also got his January project, and since that’s still up to speculation I have no clue what the intentions are behind it for the longterm. The question of if Minecraft burnout can be prevented or worked around for the audience is an interesting one. The last couple videos he did were very rooted in the roleplay comedy scenarios that existed alongside the challenges, so the Minecraft part of the video fell away into being a sandbox that made the video possible without being too obtrusive, which kind of worked for me. It’s interesting, but there's so many moving parts of what make things come in and out of style that make it hard to know What The People Want right now.

When Fallout 76 first got mentioned, and the whole 'you can launch nukes' aspect of the game was announced, etc, people were critical about it. And for some good reasons. But they also bitched about the lore logic of it, and like - that's silly? Video Games are always going to have a certain degree of Gameplay and Story Segregation, for one, and for another, MMOs are especially going to, especially when it comes to PvP type stuff and late endgame content, which the nukes were.
But there was also the contention that the nukes, and the fact that Appalachia isn't really mentioned in Fallouts 3 and 4, meant that obviously Appalachia was going to become a super irradiated hellscape by the time of Fallout 3, at least.
And I understand that argument, but also - not necessarily? Like, that's not a necessary explanation as to where Appalachia is, for Fallouts 3 and 4? Lots of places didn't get mentioned in both games, after all. It's clear that trade and travel between regions, while a thing, is limited. And frankly, given how hard life is, not a lot of people have a lot of mental bandwidth or reason to care about distant regions.
Obviously, the real answer is "the writers hadn't thought of it yet" which is always a valid answer? Serialized... anything is always going to run into that problem, you just have to work with it. Books, shows, movies, games, etc - sometimes, the writers just Didn't Think Of It Before™. Now, good writers will try to provide some explanation, where needed, but 'It just didn't come up' is also acceptable, in many cases.
For Fallout 4, well, Appalachia isn't exactly close to the Commonwealth, so that's why it never comes up? Like, sure, you'd think it would be mentioned, but... it's fine that it wasn't. Or at least mostly fine?
The Argument does have more traction for Fallout 3, since the Capital Wasteland is closer to Appalachia, but equally... it's still not needed? It's eminently believable that Appalachia could be doing mostly fine, even thriving, but the area around the DC ruins isn't. Like, sure, Appalachia probably has problems, but even if a state emerged in the region and got expansionistic, why would they expand into the Capital Wasteland? it's an absolute shit show of a place. Irradiated to hell and back, overrun by super mutants, and what exactly is the draw there? Expanding is expensive, especially in the Fallout Wasteland, so there' has to be a resource incentive to go there.
And the Capital Wasteland, during the game, doesn't really have it. Not on the scale of large states. Unless you know that Liberty Prime is under the Pentagon, anyway, or you're more desperate, or you're concerned about the symbolism of owning the ruins of DC why go there?
Like, even the major settlements of the Capital Wasteland are pretty recent, at least as large hubs - Megaton's wall wasn't built until 2241, and while there were people going back possibly decades more (Manya Vargas's grandfather was purportedly a founder, and she's apparently old in 2277), that still could only be sixty, seventy, eighty years. A 'Generation' is like 20-30 years, or something. Especially given the poor health, low life expectancy and how much the hard living of the wasteland might age someone, it really doesn't have to be that long. And Megaton's hardly worth invading for.
Tenpenny Tower was established by Mr. Tenpenny in his lifetime, and while again, he's old, he also wasn't like, a kid when it did it. Had to be established enough to have the resources to come and build it and all, after all.
Rivet City wasn't a thing until 2239.
So civilization, such as it is, at least beyond subsistence little communities scraping by, is probably not that old, in the Capital Wasteland? And it's not like a lot of people lived there in the short term after the bombs dropped, given how blasted the place was. Heck, in 76, we find out some people are coming from the Capital Wasteland to Appalachia! They literally called the Capital Wasteland "Hell on Earth" so there probably weren't a ton of people for a while in the region.
Appalachia could be doing just fine, chilling, doing their own thing and not really interacting with the Wasteland. There could be some trade happening, those caravans have to get their goods from somewhere outside the wasteland. There's just not a lot of reason to assume that Appalachia absolutely would be interacting with the Capital Wasteland, enough for it to be relevant, or something that would naturally come up in convo with the Lone Wanderer.
Yes, yes, it's 100% possible that Appalachia is a nuked out hellscape by 2277. Or that it's dealing with it's own problems, or that it's overrun by monsters or whatever, or just... not interested. Maybe it's not thriving, but it's still a going concern. But there's no real reason that it has to be that there's nothing there, by the 'present day' of Fallouts 3 and 4.

Green really likes building, and she's really good at it! She has made entire cities with different themes and aesthetics, and always has a construction project in the work. She really likes making holiday themed decorations at different times of the year, and always tries to convince the others to play along and build something of their own. Since she needs a lot of blocks from different biomes and is always looking for nice scenery for her builds, she's often exploring around the map, and has made a giant system of ice roads in the nether that the whole server uses. Her worst 'enemy' is Blue, who loves to build ugly dirt houses next to her builds.
Orange is... not a big fan of minecraft. He likes it alright, but he's not really into building and he's scared to go into the mines. Most of his time is spent above ground, making big farms, making him the one other players go to to get food.The little exploring he does is going to different biomes to get all kinds of animals and build a zoo. He's not very good when it comes to building pretty stuff, so Green helped him a bit. On his own, he probably wouldn't be playing, but he sees it as a nice bonding opportunity and loves going on VC and having nice conversations with his friends.
Red is here to WIN. He was preparing to fight the ender dragon from the start, immediately going to mine for diamonds. Yellow likes to farm. He finds it relaxing to just break blocks for hours while talking to his friends. He has really good enchanted armor and tools that Red gave him (he says he just had them laying around and didn't need them anymore, but everyone knows he made them for him). Green often uses him to terraform places or to go collect resources, building a cute house in exchange. His base is full of dogs and cats he found all over the map, each with their own name tags, and he has colored sheeps named after all the other spokescandies.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ bang chan — okay, chan is old but he has played minecraft before. but it was like,, light years ago. so that’s natural he’s a bit rusty at it first - constantly dying, moving slowly and always asking you about how you craft something etc. however playing with him is fun - if you ask him to bring you something, he does it. he can build a bit, fight the monsters for you or go mining. and it’s always funny since he never sees the ravines.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ changbin — he’s on the pvp side of the craft and speedruns the end, i swear. if you ask him, he will be more than pleased to chill out but don’t expect him to build with you – either he’s protecting you from monsters or goes around killing animals (please don’t let him go near farms)

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ hyunjin — he creates amazing buildings. aesthetically pleasing and impressive!! i’m talking biiiiig buildings!! but be careful, he tends to steal items a lot. hyunjin also teases and sabotages your builds but that happens rarely (chances are low but never zero…). also a genius when it comes to red stone!!
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ seungmin — he’s either playing it all night for whole week or doesn’t play it for three months straight. he LOVES mining, so you never lack anything while playing. he also likes to farm but sometimes he tends to randomly kill the animals without a reason…
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ i. n — the most fun to play with. knows every single tip, lifehack etc. absolute god at bedwars and parkour. but he enjoys chilling with you, in a small adorable house. if you ask him to bring something or collect some materials – he’s on it right away. also has a very good eye to details and design but he’s too lazy to build something himself (and when he does… sheeesh!!)

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ OT8 — having a server with all of them is SO CHAOTIC. we have the builders: felix and hyunjin, sometimes i.n. so the world itself is beautiful and there’s so so many buildings!! but on the other hand lee know, changbin and seungmin… they do like to destroy them. be careful while taking a stroll… you might fall into a creeper hole or a trap set by han (and hyunjin since he knows how to work with red stone). chan tries to calm everyone down, puts back stolen items and you can usually see him around covering creeper holes. but if you’re going mining – you’re never going alone. they all mostly accompany you so you don’t get lost or attacked!!
