How would Shisui react if his wife gave birth to triplets instead of just one?
Oh nonny,
I’m sorry this took so long. What a cute idea 😩🥹❤️
I see you’ve chosen choas this particular morning lol and I too often wake up on the side of lunacy. I think if any one particular Uchiha was destined to have triplets—it would unfortunately be Shisui. I can’t even imagine Itachi with twins, he is patient but lacks the energy for it. And Sasuke…well. We’ve seen how he was with just one. (Don’t hate me I love Sasuke 😩🥹 He was my original Uchiha boo, but damn was he an absent father for so long..)
Mostly sfw, a few lot of suggestive and descriptive—maybe more than just suggestive ideas here and there. This also got waaaayyyy more detailed than I intended but, I’ll take it 😍❤️
Well let’s see here, Shisui is a man of many qualities. Exceptional talent, generous lover and his undying loyalty to the village and its people. He’s an amazing man all around. Did I say generous lover already? The baby making sex was hot, ok? Like really hot being folded up like a pretzel as he rutted into you with such passion…
But for fucks sake when the sonogram showed not just one, not two but it three of his fucking tadpoles bouncing around inside his wife’s poor womb. He’s definitely going to, and very silently, go through the stages of grief. Just momentarily. He is elated of course, no doubt. This is what they’ve wanted!! It also didn’t take as long to fall pregnant but the surprise of three of his Uchiha little spawns is a bit, well, too much for even him.
This escalated even further than he could have imagined. The pregnancy phase is probably his favorite, doting on his wife as she grows their cute little babies 😩🥹 spoiling her rotten with foot rubs and such. Taking advantage of her not being able to get up at some point and just eating her soft pussy as she giggles and then moans. Those sort of things he’s going to take full advantage of before these little hell raisers are bestowed upon them.
They are blessings no doubt, I don’t see Shisui as an overtly religious man. But I mean, he was gifted with Kotoamatsukami. The man thanks the Gods damn near every day for you, his family name and these sweet little angels you made.
There is no way around it, they’re born via cesarean section. As much as his wife wanted to have a natural birth, the babies have Shisui’s head and yea. Which also comes with mops of curls. And despite Shisui having seen and been drenched in the blood of his enemies. Seeing his wife split open, and not in a good way, almost makes him falter. But he perseveres through this for her, with her. She’s so out of it too, says the cutest things while under the knife and on a copious amount of drugs.
All babies are of course healthy. Two boys and one girl. Which is great, she will have mini protective brothers from the start! Funnily enough, the first out the center cavity was the little girl. 😩😍 So she’s automatically the queen between the three siblings. They all almost look alike. The boys are identical twins and the girl was her own embryo. The doctor had joked it was most likely she absorbed her twin; but they won’t mention that. Ever.
Yeah so, this is a lot. The five days in hospital are some of the most intense and painful days for his wife. They eventually go home and it’s not entirely easy for them. Triplets is a lot of work. Feedings, diapers. Not a single one of them are on the same schedule for the first few weeks. And while Shisui is hardened by battle; three babies waking up hours apart at night does wear out a man. His wife is the same; and she is recovering.
Let’s say we’re a few years into it now. 😮‍💨 These toddlers are some of the most high octane in the world. Shisui often considers what he’s done to deserve such blatantly bad children at times. Though he’s being mostly dramatic, they’re pretty well behaved…except when they’re with him. Shisui of course is the kind of father to be a child with his own. Having been robbed of his, this is the perfect excuse to be a little bad himself. And he sees so much of him and his wife in these beautiful little people.
If he prompts his wife for another baby. She’s gonna laugh and ask how many since it’s clear they’re not having just one at a time, but full litters. Luckily. The last baby, is a singular baby. The finale.

Full Name and Family Headcanons
For the extended 141 family plus the fruity bastard betrayer (derogatory (affectionate)), some more complete than others. If any of this is directly contradicted by canon, I don't care, that's why they're headcanons
Soap
John Steven Donald MacTavish
Two loving parents, the youngest with at least 3 older siblings, all sisters. Closely enough related to the Chief of the Name and Arms of MacTavish to a) be considered low upper class and b) know his exact place in the line of hereditary succession. Also the kilt he wears on special occasions is always the modern MacTavish tartan, do your research. Grew up in Bonnyrigg outside Edinburgh and is emotionally attached to Sir Salter Scott
Ghost
Simon Lorcán Riley
Same family and circumstances as '09 Ghost (extremely poor, abusive dad, oldest of two boys), but give him loving maternal grandparents and three cousins. He's Irish by ethnicity and heritage, which a few family members kept alive and passed down to him, but British by nationality. His great-great-(great-?)grandparents migrated to Manchester during the Great Hunger, but his aunt moved back to Ballylongford where some of the family originally lived. His cousins and maternal grandmother are all alive but think he's dead and he keeps it that way for their safety. His middle name is after his maternal grandfather who died when he was young and was given to him by his grandma. I do also hc he's trans and have a deadname headcanon for him but I don't share those. The specific neighborhood he grew up in inside Manchester was Beswick
Gaz
Kyle Adam Garrick
Grew up in Brixton in London, relatively poor with two loving but working parents, but also with an enormous tight-knit community and more neighborhood aunties and uncles and cousins than he knew what to do with. Has one baby sister but she's 20 years younger than him so she's a baby baby and he was already enlisted and moved out when she was born
Price
John Matthew Price
Grew up in Anfield in Liverpool, near the football stadium. Avid fan, ropes Ghost into Liverpool vs Man United debates every season. Ghost doesn't even like football. Middle class, working dad and stay at home mom, older sister, younger sister
Roach
Gary Parker Sanderson
Working poor, older sister, younger brother
Laswell
Katherine Emma Laswell
Middle class child of divorce, no step-siblings or step-parents, lesbian wine aunt who's basically Kate Kane (coincidentally Kate's favorite superhero)
Nikolai
Nikolai Antonovich Pokrovsky
Absent parents, one younger sister
Farah
Farah Leyla Karim
Canon family - two loving parents killed by AQ, one older brother. Her middle name is the Georgian spelling of the Arabic name Layla (see my post about Urzikstan and Abkhazia for why this spelling)
Alex
Alexander Jeremiah Keller
Two older sisters, two triplet sisters (one an hour older, one three hours younger), two younger sisters, single mom, also raised by aunt and grandmother
Alejandro
Alejandro Ernesto Vargas Leon
Grew up working poor, dad died when he was three, mom had to work, older brother 4ys older took jobs for the cartel starting at 12-ish to make ends meet and left Ale as the "man of the house" at 8. Also has one 4ys younger sister (same dad, mom was pregnant) and 12ys younger twin baby brothers (different dad who chose not to be in the picture, oopsie babies). He loves the twins but wants to hang them upside down by their shoelaces more often than not, his sister is just as mischievous but more mature and subtle about it which made her easier to raise
Rudy
Rodolfo Ildefonso Parra Rosales
Born into a poor family, cartel killed his parents when he was three, adopted by a single mom after that. His new family is unrelated to the Cartel but his bisabuela is just as feared and respected as El Sin Nombre and La Araña before her, if not more in some parts of the city. Learned his best chancla skills from her. Only child but grew up in a massive multigenerational multifamily home with at least 20 older cousins - was the baby until he was 7 and now he's the second youngest
Graves
Phillip Windsor Graves
Upper class, born to parents who had an heir to the company because it was expected of them but who didn't actually want or like kids. Essentially raised by a rotating cast of nannies

Not me who made a Hadir Karim playlist because I couldn't find any and had to put matters into my own hands..
Playlist link for those who actually want to listen here
Tumblr media
Not like it's a very long one or one that might be very connected to Hadir, just songs that make me think of him every time they start playing.
Here are the songs that are on the playlist:
1. waiting Room (Phoebe Bridgers)
Tumblr media
“Know it’s for the better” He stole the gas and used it because he wanted Urzikstan to be free. And “Plus, I know whatever happened to me, I know it’s for the better” because let’s be honest he probably knew he was going to die at some point, and he knew that it most likely wasn’t going to be from natural causes, not with the war he grew up in.
2. Fool (Bôa)
Tumblr media
“You and I, born as fools now.” I don’t know what it is about this line, but it hits and it makes me think of Hadir. Maybe because he used the gas, making Farah despise him. “You and I think, think we rule now” this mf became Commander at some point, which just ENRAGES Farah, no?
3. O Superman (Laurie Anderson)
Tumblr media
Well, does this song need any explaining? I found this song on a Farah playlist (made by one of my favourite Tumblr accounts, hence me making a post about the Hadir playlist). So if this song makes me think of Farah, it immediately makes me think of Hadir.
4. Love and War (Fluerie)
Tumblr media
Love and War, says it in the title, no? Plus, “the truth begins to show”? Him using the stolen gas to save Farah and Alex, but only killing the Russian army and some ULF soldiers (if I remember correctly). And don’t even get me started on “lover, hunter, friend and enemy, you will always be every one of these.” UGHHH it's such a good line and I think that it represents Hadir very well, maybe alongside Farah too.
5. In the house - In a Heartbeat (John Murphy)
Tumblr media
Do I really need a reason for this song? It's so good and it makes me think of numerous edit ideas (despite the fact that I give up on editing the minute I open Capcut), just the vibe and sound reminds me of Hadir, makes me think of his whole character development, his story, ect:
6.Forest (Twenty One Pilots)
Tumblr media
"The situation's becoming dire" The line makes me think of the moment when Hadir calls Alex to help him get the gas, making it be used and everything kicking off and him becoming the enemy. "And for some reason I smell gas on my hands" well, this needs no explanation. "This is not what I had planned" Although I think that Hadir knew that Farah would have gone against him the moment he decided to use the gas, I feel like he wouldn't expect her to basically turn on him so much that it seemed like she didn't love him anymore.
7.Army Dreamers (Kate Bush)
Tumblr media
I think everyone can see why I put this song on here, not only because it is such an amazing song, but also because Hadir is obviously a solider. Also, I know the song's meaning is about a mother grieving her son dying because of war. HOWEVER, the song does heavily remind me of PTSD that soldiers suffer from (more so from the music video where all their eyes are wide, which kinda is like Shell Shock/PTSD), and I'm 100% certain that Hadir, like any other character is CoD, would suffer from some type of mental illness, or nightmares, or grief/guilt from being soldiers.
8. I know it's over (The Smiths)
Tumblr media
The repeat phrase of 'Oh mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head" just makes me think of how he died and, in my head, I have an image of him just dead and, well, we know his and Farah's parents are dead. I don't know how to explain it exactly, been staring at this paragraph trying to figure out what the hell I'm trying to say. But it just makes me think a lot of him and his mother, because I seriously get vibes from him that he was a mama's boy before she passed.
9. Advice (Alex G)
Tumblr media
"The world is full of fishes, but I trust you" really makes me think of him and Farah, because the two of them would have had to relied on each other at a young age after their parents died and when they were building up ULF and during their time in prison. They would have had a lot of trust in one another, which makes sense with the amount of pure betrayal and rage we hear in Farah's voice when she finds out Hadir stole the gas and then used it. The two of them would have had such an almost unbreakable relationship, not only because they are siblings, they trusted one another and they went through so much, they would have HAD to have trusted each other.
10. Poison Tree (Grouper)
Tumblr media
This song alone has so much emotion to it, it ALTERS my brain chemistry. I love this song, so it just meant I had to link it to one of my favourite characters. Which, therefore, means it has a place on the playlist.
11. The Hand that feeds (The Crane Wives)
Tumblr media
This song screams Farah, but I feel like it could apply to both Hadir and Farah. Afterall, the both of them are doing a tiring job that is going to both mentally and physically drain them. It's dangerous and they know it. "My papa taught me how to growl, how to bear my teeth and growl", although in the scene where we see of kid Farah and Hadir, their father turns to Hadir and says to 'stay strong for Farah', this is probably one of the many reasons why he does so much for her, even if makes her fucking despise Hadir for what he's done.
12. I wait for you (Alex_g_offline)
Tumblr media
"I wait for you" I don't know what is it about the repeated line that makes me think so much about Hadir, about his whole character, but for some reason it really does.
13. If we have each other (Alec Benjamin
Tumblr media
The song that makes me, really, think of any two characters that are related. "So I'm thankful for my sister, even though sometimes we fight" the line is more so towards the usual sibling type fights that happens throughout with growing up with siblings, which would easily be able to apply to the two of them. However, it also makes me think about the fact that Hadir still loves Farah and calls her sister, even when she hates him. When he was dying, he even said to her that he still loves her even though she hates him now (something along those lines)
14.Where'd all the time go? (Dr. Dog)
Tumblr media
"There ain't no way to sweep up the mess that we've made" I know it says 'we' but I think that Hadir regrets what he did, even if he believes that it helps winning against the Russian army, I don't think he likes that fact that Farah hates him over it and he knows that he can't do anything to fix that, to 'sweep up the mess'. There's no fixing that, there was no fixing that broken trust between them after that.

Ranking DC Pride 2023
9. Love’s Lightning Heart (???, ???)
Tumblr media
Starring The Flashlight and The Flash, I think? When he called the dude “Ray” in the beginning I thought it was gonna be The Ray, you know? This only scores so low because I’m not at ALL familiar with anything Multiversity and this story especially seemed to be absolutely thick with that corner of DC lore. I get there’s a Parallax type of thing happening but... this was kind of hard to follow for a payoff that’s pretty lukewarm if you’re not well-versed in who this story’s about.
8. My Best Bet (Jon Kent/Superman, John Constantine
Tumblr media
This is hit especially hard in my ranking because it’s the last story in the book and the only thing DC Pride about it is that it stars two Bs. They’re popular queer characters but I’m here for stories that are specifically ABOUT LGBT stuff, not about LGBT people doing stuff. There’s nothing to really talk about here.
7. Found (Xanthe Zhou, Batwoman/Kate Kane)
Tumblr media
I’ve been meaning to read Spirit World, and since I hadn’t gotten around to it Xanthe being LGBT was a surprise to me, but not as much as Kate Kane showing up was. It feels like someone threw a dartboard at WLW women and plopped in whoever came up, cuz I guarantee if I flip the newest Batwoman issue open to a random page she’ll have a girlfriend-slash-situationship that won’t be too happy about her seeming receptive to some flirting. But hey, I like Xanthe more now so there’s give-and-take.
6. And Baby Makes Three (Xiomara Rojas/Crush, Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn, Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy)
Tumblr media
I like Crush. I can’t claim to have read much of her, because for now that means enduring way too much Damian Wayne, but she seems like an incredibly interesting character. But I could not tell you why she’s here with Harley and Ivy. This, moreso than anything else, has a less than negative chance of being referenced again and it’s giving me even more of that dartboard feeling the last story did. Plus if there’s one thing Harlivy can do, it’s carry a story by themselves. I wish we’d gotten something about JUST Crush, is what I’m saying. I feel like this was a status update for Crush, like her washing ashore was meant to bridge the gap between this story and whatever she was doing the last time she showed up.
5. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work (Natasha Irons/Steel, Nubia)
Tumblr media
Listen, I will always have space in my heart for the Irons family. I love Natasha, and I love John Henry, and when DC lets either out of the ether every other year I’m front and center. That, and the recent super-push Nubia has been enjoying made this story one I was pretty excited to read when I realized who it was about. But THIS ART. These faces are TRASH. Even without looking it up I feel like there’s a 0% chance DC would give a nonblack artist this story, so it makes it especially confusing as to why the characters look like THAT. The actual content was fun and even though Io needs to come up off our queen posthaste, I didn’t have any (other) complaints. But it’s SOOOOO UGLYYYYY.
4. The Dance ( Minhkhoa Khan/Ghost-Makes, Thomas Blake/Catman)
Tumblr media
I knew Ghost-Maker was bi prior to reading this, somehow. I’ve been meaning to read anything about him because his design is so awesome but I was only really guessing this was Catman alongside him. I really don’t know anything about him, so this ranks so highly just because of Ghost-Maker. I don’t really have anything else to add here since this story’s ultimate purpose seems to just show off muscley dudes post-sex.
3. Anniversary (Lucas Trent/Midnighter, Andrew Pulaski/Apollo, Alan Scott/Green Lantern)
Tumblr media
These showcases tend to have like, one story that directly addresses inequality if you’re lucky. This is that story, and it’s such a good one. Midnighter and Apollo’s fame as the canon gay Superbat sort of eclipses anything else about them, but that reputation is put to excellent effect here. Plus, Alan Scott, one of my favorite Green Lanterns, finally shows up. Revitalizing that old slogan to make it clear the LGBT isn’t going anywhere was fun, too.
2. Subspace Transmission (Jules Jourdain/Circuit Breaker, Jess Chambers/The Flash, Andy Curry/Aquawoman)
Tumblr media
Jess was an extremely fun and memorable character from the start like, half a decade ago and that holds true here. I was super uninvested in the Circuit Breaker part of this story. I don’t know who that is, and even after reading this I genuinely don’t care. This made my heart hurt for more Teen Justice and Future State stuff in general. That Jackson Hyde cameo at the end was also perfect.
1. Hey, Stranger (Connor Hawke/Hawke, Tim Drake/Robin)
Tumblr media
I was definitely in diapers the last time these two characters spoke to each other. When there’s been THAT big a gap in timeframe I can’t be sure how emotional a reunion can be to a modern readership. None of that matters to my enjoyment, because Connor Hawke is far and away my favorite Arrowfam member and his recent resurgence (even if too much of it is attached to Damian Wayne for my taste) has been such a blessing. DC only trots this guy out three times a year but god do we eat good each time. They just need to do a LITTLE more with him.

Desert Island Discs
Thank you for tagging me, @flowertrigger and @mostlyinthemorning.
@jamilas-pen wrote:
You're stranded on a desert island, but you can pick eight recordings, a book and a luxury item to have with you. You get the complete works of Shakespeare and the Bible/other appropriate religious or philosophical book as a 'freebie'. The luxury item must be inanimate and of no use in escaping the island or allowing communication from outside. What do you take? Say as much or as little as you like about why you made those picks.
I have some questions. Are we going to individual desert islands near each other? Will I be able to faintly hear other people’s music? How long are we staying? (Forever?) Is it really cold at night? Do I get a change of clothes? Are my sunscreen preferences taken into consideration? Is there a hairbrush, or would I have to use my “luxury” slot for that? Oh, and I’m definitely going to need some paper and a couple of pens. Could you maybe supply those?
I am assuming food is either not a concern or it’s so dismal a situation that if I packed, say, a giant chocolate bar or a jar of “everything but the bagel” seasoning it wouldn’t be worth it in the long run.
So, basically, my list focuses on keeping my brain busy and my spirits up.
Recordings
Music-wise, that means I chose songs I could sing along to and/or play air piano with and/or work on memorizing the lyrics and/or play over and over and over and over again. They’re also songs that remind me of people and times I could write about or think about a lot without becoming walk-into-the-ocean depressed.
Beautiful Mess by Kasey Chambers
2. Honesty by Noah Reid
3. Language or the Kiss by the Indigo Girls
4. Leaving on a Jet Plane by Peter, Paul and Mary (I really want to say John Denver’s version, but it comes down to me just not being able to sing along to him well, which would be too frustrating, so I’m going with this one instead.)
5. George Winston’s piano version of Pachelbel’s Canon in D (I feel like it might be really uncool to say you love this song? But I love this song. Ugh, and this is the best arrangement, you can trust me, because I’ve listened to them all.)
6. Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
7. Texas River Song by Lyle Lovett (Hmm, see, I have this kind of dirty parody of this half-written, but only in my mind, and I do a little harmonizing that I’ve worked out? So I feel like on a desert island I’d have plenty of time to finish it up and write down the definitive version.)
8. Unfinished Life by Kate Wolf
+1 song I very sadly and with much regret bumped off the list: Outfit by Jason Isbell
Book
I didn’t think too hard about this. I’m just going with my instincts and the first thing I thought of, which is the complete works of Jane Austen, which I know can be found all in one volume. I’ve only read one of her novels (Mansfield Park—why? I do not know), but I know I’d like them. They wouldn’t be fast reads, so I wouldn’t tear through them too quickly, and they’d reward rereading.
Luxury Item
Assuming I’ve already got a ream of paper and a pack of pens to write down my Lyle Lovett thoughts and my Jane Austen essays and my fanfic and my messages for the bottles (are there bottles?), I’m going to go with a quilt that I’ve made and is at the barely-started hand quilting stage. (Can I pack my thread and needles and scissors to go with it? What if I sewed a little pocket and hid the supplies inside, then would it count as one item?) I figure it gives me something to do that’s different from writing or music, plus it has practical value in warmth and shade.

The first felt too unfinished to not be excited to see where Villeneuve brings it next.
13. Wonka (Paul King) – 12.15.23
Really couldn’t care less about Chalamet, and this project is totally unnecessary. But... I’m a die-hard Roald Dahl fan, and this is directed by the man who gave us Paddington 2, so... yeah.

18. Ferrari (Michael Mann) – TBD
Michael Mann directing a movie about Enzo Ferrari starring Adam Driver... why aren’t you excited about it?!?
19. Beau Is Afraid (Ari Aster) – TBD
No clue what we’re in for... but I’m certain it’s going to fuck me up for a week or two.
20. Peter Pan & Wendy (David Lowery) – TBD
David Lowery... enough said. I mean, seriously, have you seen A Ghost Story or Pete’s Dragon?!?
PHOTO FIVE:
21. Lee (Ellen Kuras) – TBD
If Kate Winslet wasn’t enough... well, it is... it really is.
22. Blitz (Steve McQueen) – TBD
It’s McQueen doing a WWII drama starring Saoirse Ronan...

I’m hoping it’s as wild as those set photos have been...
24. The Way of the Wind (Terrence Malick) – TBD
Malick does Jesus...
25. The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (Wes Anderson) – TBD
I doubt this is actually going to release in 2023, but it is already in post, so in case does, I really need you all to know just how excited I will always be for new Wes Anderson.
There they are!
As for My Best of 2022, once again all of the major lists will not be getting posted until mid/late January, but I’m going to try to get some of the early lists – such as Posters, TV & Non-2022 Films – sorted and posted over the next week or two. Please Feel Free to Follow Along So You Don’t Miss Anything!

do you have any favorite TLC shows? like sister wives , 90 day fiancé or john and Kate plus 8 ????
Not currently. I used to be obsessed with say yes to the dress and that makeover show that I can't remember the name of. Also my big fat American gypsy wedding, sex sent me to the ER, and I didn't know I was pregnant

Actual comment I saw on the John and Kate plus 8 situation: Well there adults now why are they still siding with her
Me:…because magically turning 18 doesn’t suddenly magically change your opinions on things? Realizing your in an abusive situation like that can take time and deconstruction. And realistically is more likely to happen once those 6 aren’t around her constantly
And they have trust fund so the amount of connection should be withering away. But they need to start seeing it themselves before they can realize what is wrong here
And that can take time

The young man's mouth opened. 'The ride!' He sat down. 'My dear sir, the ride was nothing but the cathartic. It was the banquet at the Hôtel de Ville that did for me.'
*n.b. for a real hungover night drive you should a) let Archie drive and b) choose louder songs to keep you awake
I know I should be posting the celebrating-Thatcher’s-demise playlist today, but that one isn’t ready, so you get a miserable mourning one instead whoops
1) This is from The Ninth Wave, the B-side of Hounds of Love about a woman lost at sea. It's her pov on her relatives waiting for her to return - so the reverse of Francis imagining Sibylla and Richard are dead, but Sibylla wants to see what he's like imaging Richard's dead, and in terms of the misunderstandings and not-hearing-each-others it seems fitting for the fmaily at this point. 2) A folk song about a woman who had an affair with some devil (also known as The Demon Lover), is later persuaded by him to leave her husband and child and then drowns at sea when he deliberately sinks their ship. Not that I think any of this applies to Sibylla, but atmospherically I think Francis, who is not currently certain of his past, would find it fittingly painful. 3) Don't @ me I couldn't find a transcript of the lyrics and my French isn't good enough to know that it fits exactly, but it sounds good for the kind of crooner FRC was, for the soundtrack to Sibylla's past in France, and obviously La Manche is the French name for the English Channel. 4) A sacred harp song re-introduced to the UK by the Watersons, it's just a great mourning song. 5) If the lyrics to this seem unfair to Francis, Sibylla and FRC, or even overly kind on Gavin, then just think about how much misunderstanding there is between everyone, how much distrust there is and how much isn't being said that needs to be said at this point of the story. 6) Ok, this is one modern folk song I allowed myself because I thought it fitted Francis' fears of what he is to Sibylla so well. Plus imagine the way this could be interpreted from Sibylla's pov, knowing who the words are actually referring to: 'Your father says you're not his own nor any child of man's, / But I think you have your father's smile, your father's gentle hands, / And I pray that you will love me like your father used to do, / So hush awhile, my darling, so I might know it's you.' 7) It's really more of a GoK song, but that's emblemetic enough of the tangled Crawford relationships anyway: 'As I came in by Fiddich side on a May morning / Auchindoon was in a blaze an hour before the dawning / Crawing, crawing, for all your crowse crawing / You've burnt your crops and tint your wings / An hour before the dawning.' 8) Drowned lover appears to woman in a dream. Another great angsty ballad. 9) Perhaps on the surface more of a 'Richard about Francis' song, but given the reference to the hand at the bridle when Francis suddenly realises his brother's not dead, it might also be a bit about Francis' idea of Richard when he was young. Plus 'So far / aross a wild and windy sea / So far / That our voices are / Divided by an ocean / An ocean.' 10) Again, technically written as a song for a lover, but I think it still fits Francis' feelings about home and family and his difficult relationship with Scotland and Midculter. 11) Bit on the nose? Mm. 'Richard got married to a figure skater And he bought her a dishwasher and a coffee percolator And he drinks at home now most nights with the TV on And all the house lights left up bright. I'm gonna blow this damn candle out I don't want nobody comin' over to my table I got nothing to talk to anybody about All good dreamers pass this way someday Hidin' behind bottles in dark cafés Dark cafés, only a dark cocoon Before I get my gorgeous wings and fly away Only a phase, these dark café days.' 12) It's another banging mourning song from the canon of twentieth century folk revival! 13) The story is of a convict washing up from a shipwreck and being pardoned - you'd imagine Francis would see himself in it to an extent, while also thinking he deserves neither life nor pardon. 14) Another slight anachronism, because Katherine mentioned another recent version (by False Lights), and this is the arrangement that inspired that one. The song, however, is a Tennyson poem, and it had been set to choral music before, so it would sort of be known to Francis. 15) Again, big French crooner from Sibylla's glamour days, imagine her recuperating with this playing in the background as Francis steps into the room to see she's alive, while thinking Richard isn't...

I wonder how many children have been born because of fertility treatments.
I think of people like John and Kate (plus 8) and how many babies are neglected in similar instances.

There are group of people who are controlling the movement in the society...What about removing wealth of DJ's???
11:28 pm
I feel that someone got my 1 blue hook... I feel bitter...
All of my stuff are cheap these days but my orginal stuff were all expensive.
Now, I don't have enough money... I needed all my cheap stuff here...
12:10 noon
I saw my S-blue hook inside the bathroom floor....But the red heart cup and syrup of John are still missing...
I always have one in my bag if in case there is no hook in the public toilet or washroom at least I have my own... It is for bag holder or whatever...
Tumblr media
1:06 pm
I decided to hate the "tatoo group" coz I got none!
They didn' want me from the start....They started without me and they move on and I'm always left behind and they always ahead of me, 5 times ahead of me.... Bye tattoo! You never had have me since 2007! You just want me to be fat and ugly and you never save me!
Tatoo group only wanted women who are on a maintained spoiled position, they are plastics!!! They hated me!!! COZ I'M POORISH THESE DAYS!!!
9:14 pm
I feel fat and ugly....I have windblow... I still wanna leave the hometown....I wanna have nose perfection.
I feel self-pity....I need money....I have mixed-up emotion....I can never be Kate coz I'm so poorish..I wasn't able to get back my original stuff that someone borrowed to be me...
I need my life back.... But for now, I need a job and money...
9:42 pm

(My) Film 2022
As posted previously, the last year & a half I have been massively catching up with films (which I far too often neglect), just really trying to get to the point where I’ve seen a much vaster array of the sort of thing I like than I had previously (usually, it’s dox straight to the top of the list - not all of those might be covered below - and TV stuff, often with the missus, plus a smattering of art house & stoopid comedies & action films, plus an increasing line in so-bad-they’re-good ones). As I’ve been sending micro-reviews to a couple of fellow fans on email (Messrs Taylor & Stokoe), & I saw a couple of facebook pals had been listing out their entire year’s viewing (Messrs Fisher & Fishead), I thought it’d be easy enough to copy & paste over my own...not quite their numbers here, but still 185, which is an insane uptick from the few dozen I probably often do! I haven’t bothered with release dates, but have said where they are originals etc. I barely ever re-watch films, so they’re all first viewings unless I’ve said otherwise. With the streaming era, I’ve also started & quickly stopped gawd knows how many others, life isn’t long enough - I never thought I’d see so many title sequences!
The plan is that this period will stop soon, & I will move on to do a similar job on books, but I still probably have something like 100 DVDs, rips & videos here that I’ve never got round to, plus a similar-sized list of ones I want to see but can’t find cheap/free, so...
1. Police Academy, and...
2. Naked Gun (both of which had me laughing like a drain)
3. Casablanca (third time, I think, with the missus this time, still boss)
4. Requiem For A Dream (v good if maybe slightly dated now, seemed to freak out the missus & Kate Hobs good & proper)
5. Prisoners (almost forgotten this now - pretty pro, enjoyed it at the time)
6. Gone Baby Gone (same, similar topic)
7. OG Robocop (another classic I'd never seen - boss)
8. The Ipcress File (pretty darn good)
9. When A Stranger Calls (knew too much about it before I saw it, but v good stuff)
10. Away (Timothy Spall, in Blackpool - really liked this, partly cos of the location)
11. The Brood (very good)
12. The Killing of A Sacred Deer (very good)
13. 9th Gate (a bit silly in places, but I really liked this, good interesting subject matter)
14-19. Started watching all the Batmans since 89, cos I'd never seen any of em...89 one seriously dated now...Batman Returns poss my least fave, all that Danny DeVito stuff...Batman Forever (poss liked this slightly more than other people do, I'm down for the camp), Batman & Robin (the one I was keen to see, on my 'so bad it's good' tip, maybe not quite as excitingly bad as I wanted, but still impressively so)...Batman Begins & The Dark Knight (pretty darn good, although I'm not sure they QUITE deserve the absurd adulation)...stalled there cos missus wants to watch the rest with me...
20. Once Upon A Time In America (classic)
21. Prevenge (not bad)
22. Scum (classic)
23. Secretary (had not QUITE seen all of it before, v good)
24. Kimi (not bad)
25. Paterson (I enjoyed this, although it's a bit inconsequential)
26-27. Hannibal & Red Dragon (I kinda watched these cos I could - one I had seen before - they were alright, not as good as Silence of the Lambs)
28. The new West Side Story (completely pointless but a treat, love the original & all versions of the music)
29-30. Bad Karma & Drillbit (didn't know about this guy before, GREAT!)
31. Life Is Cheap (locally-made, not really distributed properly, John Waters-esque horror)
32. The Violators (I thought this was pretty good)
33. OG Funny Games (classic if uncomfortable)
34. Jaws (classic, can't believe I'd never seen it before)
35. Muriel's Wedding (had seen this before. A fave with the missus. Good soother while I had Covid, as was...)
36-37. Meet the Parents & Meet the Fockers (for the second or third time, I discovered recently that the first is a remake, & I tried to watch the original, but it was too amateurish even for me)
38. Mope (I really enjoyed this)
39. Metal Lords (I think metal fans have been disparaging about this, but I kinda enjoyed it)
40. Punch-Drunk Love (really good)
41-65. Bond season: see Landlord Records, Bond, ALL Bond I'm sure you pretty much have to... (tumblr.com)
66. Mark Cousins Story of Film new bit (the whole "looking but not looking, seeing yet not seeing"-type stuff wears a bit thin, but he does know his oats)
67. Baby Driver (good stuff)
68. Dogtooth (very good, prob better than Sacred Deer for me)
69. Spring Breakers (atmospheric nonsense from Korine, I kinda liked it)
70. Dune (one of the last Lynch ones I hadn't seen - a Lynch fan has to see it, but as incomprehensible - or at least an as overly encyclopaedic translation of the novel - as people always say)
71-72ish. Some Kenneth Anger shorts (top)
73. Some Like It Hot (classic)
74. Taken (enjoyed it for what it was, & also left the whole thing on later in the year on telly, so seen twice this year, must be OK!)
75. Lost Highway (not his best but interesting - thought I’d seen this before but think I’d confused it with something else...edging towards a Lynch retrospective, although I’ve already seen a bunch of them more than once, once I’ve gathered them all together)
76. Faster Pussycat Kill Kill (enjoyable, some ace shots & dialogue - it's a bit ploddy though in places, which is what I find most taxing about a lot of low budget stuff )
77. Ed Wood season (had seen Plan 9 before): Bride of the Monster (dull)
78. Night of the Ghouls (bit better, I thought)
79. Glen Or Glenda (the most wacked-out, although I wasn't super-sold)
80. Jail Bait (enjoyed this most as a straight-up film - I believe the plot came from elsewhere, otherwise you might say it was quite a good one)
81ish. some short Wood bits...
82. Necromania (quite enjoyed this one, one of the - not very arousing - pornos).
83. Non-Wood: Starcrash (ace, loved it)
84. The Big Heat (total classic, if anyone ever again says a film needs to be over an hour & a half long, they're lying)
85. Chopping Mall (enjoyed it - this is the start of my latest 'so bad they're good' season)
86. Dead Heat (LOVED this)
87. Mortal Kombat 2 (enjoyed it, although wouldn't expect anyone else to)
88. Crocodile 2 (good fun)
89. The Happening (a bit misunderstood I think, but still rather silly), pause in 'so bad...' section...
90. Sir Henry At Rawlinson End (a real treat)
91. Bohemian Rhapsody (pretty good)
92. Black Devil Doll From Hell (one of the rare 'so bad they're good' ones where it goes past funny into creating a really odd, unsettling atmosphere - really liked it)
93. Psycho Cop (good fun)
94. Divine Enforcer (loved it)
95. Twisted Pair (not Breen's best tbf...), 'so bad...' section ends.
96. The Trouble With Being Born (v interesting, unsettling stuff)
97. Elegy To The Visitor From The Revolution (the only Diaz one I've managed to get through, cos it's shorter, pretty decent)
98. Parasite (very good)
99. Ricotta (more for Kate than me, I can't really get into Italian new wave stuff, shock horror... s'OK)
100. OG Mad Max (awesome, couldn't believe I'd never seen it...started the second one as well, but either the print wasn’t very good or they chose a very different colour scheme, & I couldn’t get into it half as much)
101. Man Vs Bee (daft, but I did enjoy it)
102. The Magnificent Ambersons (really good)
103. Welcome Home Brother Charles (more 'so bad...' stuff - bonkers)
104. For Y'ur Height Only ('so bad...' - as good as people say, great watch)
105. Malcolm X (solid)
106. Ben & Arthur (one of the 'so bad...' ones I had to restart a coupla times before getting through it, but glad I did in the end, pretty deranged)
107. Sherlock Jr (classic)
108. His Girl Friday (shamefully had to try this twice, but excellent once it gets going)
109. Top Hat (v good)
110. Bringing Up Baby (v good)
111. The Lady Eve (v good)
112. Notorious (Hitchcock - another I had to try again with, incredibly, again very good once it gets going)
113. High Noon (ace)
114. All the President's Men (really good, rated it)
115. The Raid (Indonesian actioner - really good, I thought)
116. OG Last House On the Left (for some reason I thought this was of about the same production standard as I Spit On Yr Grave, but much better, good unsettling stuff)
117. Peeping Tom (classic)
118. Aliens (maybe saw this 30 years ago, rip-snorting)
119. What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? (great stuff)
120. Dr Strangelove (probably not quite as funny as at the time, but classic anyway)
121. Topaz (not the best Hitchcock, but I enjoyed it)
122. Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion (very good)
123. Another Year (recentish Mike Leigh - v good)
124. Magnolia (amazingly well done, but didn't touch me quite like it seems to other people)
125. Baise Moi (pretty brutal. Too shoddily done to really sit THAT well with me, but worth a watch)
126. The Bad Seed (50s one Su wanted to watch - a bit overlong for the subject, & seriously dated, but decent)
127. Terminator 2 (barring the long dull bit in the middle - it being some sort of special edition poss not helping - pretty rip-snorting, better than the first)
128. A Nightmare On Elm Street (being a jessie for horror movies, I actually had to turn this off after the first murder when I was still at school & it came on telly! Finally dared to get back to it - STILL pretty creepy in places, particularly that first murder. Very good)
129. Good To Go/Short Fuse (finally located it on Youtube - title change hadn't helped - Art Garfunkel (?!) stars in a mid-80s flick about the Washington DC go-go scene - nowhere near as bad as its rep)
130. BFI season: Dawson City (more about the town than the silent film finds really, which I wasn't expecting, but still some amazing footage & photos. Visually sumptuous)
131. Cabinet of Dr Caligari (didn't get that much more from watching it in full than clips & stills, as it is the sets that are really the star, but still v good)
132. The General (Keaton - tremendous, well worth its rep)
133. Drunken Angel (Kurosawa - not sure why this one isn't talked about more, really good I thought - love the grumpy doctor character)
134. Late Spring (Ozu - I had started this before - really good)
135. Tokyo Story (Ozu - same - I think the reason it is seen as the best of them only really comes down to the last half hour, but it is certainly superlative either way)
136. Seven Samurai (or Seventy Minutes Too Long Samurai - the last hour is boss though - I believe until relatively recently it was mainly available in the west in a significantly shorter cut, & I suspect that was the right cut & responsible for its rep, the build-up is way too long. Classic of course though)
137. A Man Escaped (really really good)
138. Wild Strawberries (really good)
139. Les Mistons (Truffaut - OK, whatever)
140. Rabid (enjoyed, but the step up to The Brood is significant)
141. Berberian Sound Studio (very good, especially enjoyed the knowledgeable experimental music angle)
142. Hitchcock...The Lodger (really good, glad I found a version with a decent soundtrack at last)
143. Downhill (another early Hitch - not at all bad stuff, nicely restored by the BFI)
144. Suspicion (same as everyone says - great but cop-out ending)
145. Documentary on comix artist Mike Diana
146. More Hitchcock... Under Capricorn (I had to sort of half-watch this, it was so long & periody - not really my sort of thing - but I did kinda like it)
147. The Trouble with Harry (once you get used to the style, pretty darn good)
148. Marnie (largely excellent)
149. Frenzy (one of the best of the late Hitch ones)
150. Family Plot (also very entertaining)
151. La Jetee (OK, over-rated)
152-154. Dekalog 1-3 (again, a little over-rated I think, but still great)
155. American Pie 2 (total fluff of course, but I enjoyed it)
156. 3 Identical Strangers (decent doc)
157. My Friend Dahmer (basic but enjoyable)
158-9. Encounters At the End of the World (Herzog Antartica doc - really good, & also, didn't get through all the extras, but amazeballs half hour one of extra underwater footage, with Henry Kaiser doing his noodly guitar all through it, which I almost enjoyed more than the main picture)
160. Amazing Grace (Aretha Franklin gospel concert lost footage - pretty powerful stuff)
161. Analyse This (I'd seen this before & forgot, but enjoyable again the second time, not a classic but good fun)
162. OG Predator (don't know why I'd put this one off - really good, tense stuff)
163. The Passion of Joan of Arc (20s) (maybe not QUITE as good as they say - & slightly too much emphasis put on the close-ups, there's good, more dynamic stuff at the end as well - but still powerful)
164. Ocean's 11 (remake) (another one I don't know why I left til now - greatly enjoyable)
165. Den of Thieves (another heist one - not at all bad)
166-167ish. Aardman stuff (I think the only actual feature I watched was Chicken Run, just watched what I could find free out of the 'classics') (all pretty enjoyable, although I didn't realise they also made so much garbage children's stuff)
168. The House (v silly Will Ferrell thing)
169. Man with A Movie Camera (poss more admirable than incredible at this point, but still a v good watch)
170. Killer Legends (standard doc about urban legends from the Cropsey guy)
171. The Fire Within (another Herzog volcanos doc, some pretty immense footage, stumbled across as part of Storyville on the Beeb)
172-173. The Ride Along movies (more stuff for lunched-out vegetating, entertaining enough)
174. Grey Gardens (doc) (again, maybe not quite as incredible as I'd been led to believe, but enjoyable nutters, & nice to find a half-decent print at last)
175. Click & Collect (v silly BBC xmas thingie)
176. Sad Vacation (Sid & Nancy doc, v similar to another I'd seen - unless it was the same one again, which would be really bad, but I don't think so, a lot of the same interviewees though)
177. Fascism On A Thread (interesting doc on Nazisploitation films)
178-179. Die Hard 2 & 3 (2nd one I poss enjoyed even more than the first, 3rd a little separated from the original concept but still highly enjoyable)
180. Mascots (very good recentish Spinal Tap bloke one)
181. He Walked By Night (really solid police procedural film noir)
182. OG Jurassic Park (rather dated now, but the much-reffed set pieces really terrific)
183. The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (the best of the Aardman, I think - really splendid)
184. First Blood (another I can’t believe it took me this long to get to - ace)
185. CopLand (not at all bad, ace cast)

1. if you have any pets, were they adopted from the humane society? I have four pets and none of them came from rescues. Rescuing in this country is almost impossible if you work or own other animals. We got Archie from a breeder, two of the cats from local farms and the third was a private rehoming on the dreaded Gumtree.
2. what kind of cheese is your favorite, or no cheese at all? ALL the cheese. My favourite type varies depending on what I’m eating and what my overall mood is.
3. do you like home design, like picking out paint colors and furniture? I love doing the picking out, but I hate doing the actual re-decorating and building of furniture lol.
4. have you seen any of the old james bond movies? I’ve seen most of them but I don’t really remember any of them in any great detail or anything like that.

11. what type of computer do you have? A Macbook Air.
12. do you like old, black and white movies? No, not really.

17. do you collect anything? Wax melts.
18. have you seen the movie, thirteen? I used to absolutely LOVE that film but I tried re-watching it the other day as it’s on Prime and it was so not for me, haha. I think it’s one of those films where you have to be in a certain stage of your life to enjoy it.
19. do you watch vh1? We don’t get it here.
20. have you ever said “fergalicious”, but changed it to your name instead of fergie’s? Hahah, no.

22. do you watch youtube videos often? Yeah, fairly regularly.
23. do you wear mascara? No.

25. have you ever watched a movie that’s in a completely different language, so you had to read sub-titles? Sure, but I don’t really like subtitles.
26. do people with yellow teeth disgust you? No. I mean, there are all sorts of reasons someone might have yellow teeth.
27. do you drink alcohol on new year’s eve? I don’t really drink at all.
28. do you wear rings? Just my wedding and engagement rings.
29. are you hungry right now? Nah, I just finished lunch about an hour and a half ago.

40. what was the last picture you uploaded to your facebook? A photo of one of the animals, I bet.
41. when was the last time that you were so tired that everything was funny to you? I honestly don’t remember.
42. what’s something that you do that you know hurts people close to you? I don’t really do anything that purposefully hurts other people.
43. what was the last board game that you played? Probably Monopoly, I guess.
44. the next time you will be going on vacation, where will you be heading too? I have no plans to go anywhere anytime soon. Mike is currently out of work soooo holidays are the last thing on my mind lol.
45. do you get bloated at all after you eat? Yeah, especially if I’ve eaten to many carbs. That doesn’t stop me though lol.
46. have you read the book lovely bones? Yeah. It’s a pretty good book.
47. are you mad that this survey is over now? What an odd thing to get mad about, lol.

6 Tips and Tricks For Writing An Epic Fantasy Novel

We know you've been dreaming about starting that fantasy novel. To help with developing a story idea in this week’s NaNo Prep theme, our NaNo guest Zacharia Brendon Devlin shares his guide for creating an epic fantasy novel:
Writing kinda goes with my family. My aunt, Kate Ristau, is a published author of five books (and counting), my sister, Lily, is an amazing author. My grandmother is also an incredible author of two novels, my brother wrote a short story and published it on Blurb, along with his book, Warrior of Nilved. So, long story short, it wasn't really any surprise when I began writing.
I started writing the first draft of my fantasy novel when I was 8-years-old. Since then, it has gone through several different drafts for several years. Writing fantasy, in my opinion, is one of the most enjoyable genres to write, but it can also be the hardest. Okay, let’s cut down to the chase: writing fantasy can be hard. But with a couple of helpful tips and tricks, the load could be lighter.
1. Gather ideas.
Dream, read, think, talk, etc. Just gather ideas. Some of the greatest stories have gotten their plots from something normal. For instance, S. D. Smith, the author of The Green Ember, got the idea for his bestselling book from when he was taking a walk with his daughter and saw two rabbits hopping in his yard. Chris Grabenstein, the author of Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library (plus numerous other books), got the idea from visiting an amazing library. Like I said before, keep gathering ideas. You won't regret it.
2. Start with a rough draft.
You may be tempted to edit your story word by word, but it gets done much faster when you start with a rough draft. Don't try to write in a ton of details or sub-plots until after the first draft is done. Just focus on the main, most important events and facts. You can always add side characters later.
3. Make it IMPOSSIBLE.
Kids (and most adults) love impossible. Fire breathing dragons? Cha-Ching! Flesh-eating, 50 feet tall giants? Bring it! A wizard that can turn people into frogs? Absolutely! You can also create your own creatures or animals. (e.g. In my nearly-finished fantasy novel, The Lost Prince, I created a race of creatures known as the Rinëdslo. J.R.R Tolkien, the author of The Lord of The Rings, created Hobbits. John Flanagan, author of Ranger's Apprentice series, created Wargals and the Kalkara.) You get the point: the more impossible it is, the more interesting and exciting it is.
4. Create Unforgettable Characters.
All characters in fantasy novels should each have a unique talent. Is your character great at riding dragons or buffaloes? Does your character sneeze when he/she tells a lie? Does your character have a cool or strange weapon? Does your character have a special pet? Just be sure to make it, as always, unforgettable. Also, if you need fantasy names, here’s a good website for that.
5. Work Within Your Limits
I know some people who can write for hours on end, and others who can only write for 20 minutes a day. Whatever works for you, do it. Writing when you don't want to can have a negative effect. 80,000--150,000 words is a typical word count in fantasy novels. You should probably start with a smaller word count, and then slowly add more. I usually like to start with 10,000 and then add a 5,000 every time I win, but you can do a word count that you think is suitable (and doable) for you.
6. Read and Re-read
You can only write as well as you read. Study the classics of the fantasy genre, taking note of what grabs you about each fantasy author’s approach—for example, world-building, character development, or plot twists—and how the storyteller navigates the aspects you find most daunting. You can reread your favorite fantasy books while applying the same lens.
There ya have it! Six tips and tricks from yours truly. I hope they were helpful, or at least worth your time to read them. But I have one more tip for you:
7. Now go; go and write! Take these tips and apply them to your own novels!
Zacharia Brendon Devlin (Zach) is a twelve-year-old fantasy author. He lives in the USA with his nine siblings, lizard, and dog. Other than writing, Zach loves to hike in his backyard forest, play boardgames, talk with his friends, and build LEGOs. His literary inspirations are Brain Jacques, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brandon Mull, and C. S. Lewis.

please rank Kate's outfits! There's been such a variety this tour: some hits, some misses, and some looks that were good in abstract but (IMO) weren't entirely appropriate for the event
This tour had one outfit I hated, two outfits I loved, and 15 outfits in between.
Tumblr media
18. Alessandra Rich dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Ferragamo clutch, Patrick Mavos earrings
Pros: Her hair is nice
Cons: This is the world’s ugliest outfit. She’s wearing a curtain turned into a bad dress. There’s a weird jewel on it. It looks like a Diana reject. I hate it
17. RIXO dress, Castaner shoes, Emmy London clutch, Nadia Irena earrings
Pros: The pattern isn’t hideous up close. I love the local designer for the earrings and her hair is incredible. Also, I was wearing the same shoes at the same time so 10/10
Cons: The shape is not good. What is going on with that waist?
16. Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Jacket; Alexander McQueen White Trousers, Aquazzura shoes, Mulberry bag, Anthropologie earrings, Halcyon Days bangles
Pros: It’s not new, I guess. Also, Kate in red is always good
Cons: She looks like she’s off to judo practice
Tumblr media
15. Emilia Wickstead dress, Gianvito Rossi heels, UFO clutch, Sezane earrings
Pros: The colour is nice and the fit is good
Cons: This dress is the epitome of meh. It’s so boring
14. Self-portrait dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Nadia Irena earrings
Pros: The material looks lovely and light and I’m always a fan of local designers. I also love self-portrait as a brand so…
Cons: This is the worst self-portrait dress I’ve ever seen. Plus, I’m not a fan of white shoes
13. Jenny Packham dress, Emmy London shoes, UFO clutch, UFO earrings and necklace
Pros: This is 100% traditional KMiddy tour attire and I am here for it. I also tolerate the lace
Cons: Have I ever mentioned that I hate peplums? I also don’t like the neckline
Tumblr media
12. Alexander McQueen suit, Ridley London top, Jimmy Choo shoes, Willow Hilson bag, Maria Black earrings, Lashawndla Bailey-Miller bangle and bracelet
Pros: I love Alexander McQueen so I’m always happy when Kate wears them. Also, a SUIT! We’ve also got a local designer for jewellery and another vintage item
Cons: I don’t think anyone should wear white suits. It’s not a good look
11. Gill Marine shirt, UFO shorts, Decathlon jacket, Superga shoes, UFO hat, Spells of Love earrings
Pros: SHORTS
Cons: This look is so forgettable I forgot to put it in my outfit round up and, more importantly, no one else mentioned it either
10. Alexander McQueen dress, Emmy London heels, Anya Hindmarch clutch, Philip Treacy hat, HM’s earrings, Diana’s bracelet
Pros: She looked like an actual angel. McQueen does white lace very well. Big fan of the hat
Cons: It’s a bit boring. I also don’t like the bottom of the dress at all
Tumblr media
9. John Lewis top, G-Star trousers, Superga shoes, Spells of Love earrings
Pros: Lara Croft vibes. This look reminds me of the one she wore to climb to the Tigers’ Nest Monastery in Bhutan
Cons: It reminds me of the less good, cheap version of her Bhutan look. Bring back her Zara trousers and Really Wild boots pls and thx
8. Emilia Wickstead dress, Gianvito Rossi shoes, Kiki McDonough earrings, HM’s brooch
Pros: Repeat dress! This is so much better than the first time she wore it. I love the hair and the brooch is phenomenal, well done Jamaica
Cons: We didn’t see it very long
7. Willow Hilson vintage dress, Russell and Bromley shoes, Maria Black earrings, Lashawndla Bailey-Miller bangle
Pros: Bright, colourful, vintage!! And a local designer for the bangle
Cons: This is the outfit that feels the least like something I could imagine Kate would wear in Britain and, while that’s not a bad thing, it holds me back from loving this
Tumblr media
6. John Lewis top, G-Star trousers, Scotch and Soda jacket, Palladium shoes, Spells of Love earrings
Pros: Everything I said about this outfit earlier but I like it even more with the jacket. Honestly. It moved up 3 places.
Cons: It was so expected. I want some surprises KMids
5. Vampire’s Wife gown, Jimmy Choo heels, Xe'il Belize clutch, O’Nitaa earrings
Pros: THE COLOUR. Pink and stunning. I also love the shape of the sleeves. It works really well within the context of the tour, especially considering her later looks. This gives me 2022 KMiddy vibes
Cons: I’m not a Vampire’s Wife fan and the material is just not it. Imagine it in chiffon.
4. Philippa Lepley gown, Gianvito Rossi heels, Lulu Guinness clutch, Van Cleef & Arpels necklace and earrings
Pros: Cinderella has arrived at the ball. I adore the bows on the shoulders. Bridal gowns are made for Catherine. Honestly, this was a toss up with 3 and could have swapped. Strangely, this dress gives me 2011 newly minted Duchess of Cambridge vibes
Cons: Who spends more than £2000 on shoes? This girl. I’m also not a satin person.
Tumblr media
3. Jenny Packham gown, HM’s Emerald Tassel Parure earrings, HM’s Emerald Tassel Parure bracelet
Pros: GREEN. The tulle was phenomenal. The sparkles but not too many sparkles. The orders. The hair. It’s off the shoulder. I loved it. This was 2018 Princess Catherine at her peak
Cons: It’s Jenny Packham. Again.
2. Tory Burch dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes/Superga shoes, Anya Hindmarch clutch, Sezane earrings
Pros: I saw this and fell in love. The 2014 accessories. The colours. The sunglasses. This is 100% a dress I could see Catherine wearing on her summer holidays to the Isles of Scilly. We started so well
Cons: Imagine this dress, but by a Belizean designer
1. Roksanda dress, Aquazzura shoes, Ferragamo clutch, Sezane earrings
Pros: YELLOW. Honestly, the hair, the bow, the dress. This is a better version of the Catherine Walker dress she wore for Philip’s funeral. The colour is so bright. It’s soft and gentle and also powerful. 10/10
Cons: I hate the shoes #sorry

Sorry if this was already asked but how would you rank the brigerton siblings and their spouses?
I think I've only ranked the couples in the past (though I may have changed my mind about that ranking too lmao) so here it is, based on both books and show!
Bridgerton Siblings
#1 Hyacinth Bridgerton
No comments needed, my baby is the indisputable Queen of the Bridgerton household. I went into reading the series expecting to love Eloise and instead I found everything I was expecting from her character in the youngest Bridgerton daughter. Boss-ass bitch.
#2 Anthony Bridgerton
Traumatized, emotionally constipated Viscount who finds his match in his wife and spends the rest of his life worshipping the ground she walks on? Yeah, I'm a goner.
#3 Francesca Bridgerton
My poor, neglected darling. If the showrunners had any functioning braincells they'd delve into her character from s01-04/05– I'd love to see them exploring how in spite of loving her family to death, she always felt kind of apart from the rest of the Bridgertons. Not to mention actually seeing her fall in love with John, her friendship with Michael, the grief over John's death and her subsequent miscarriage. I just adore Frannie so very much!
#4 Benedict Bridgerton
Courtesy of Luke Thompson. I know I would have probably hated Benedict if I'd only read the book but his show rendition won me over immediately, so there was a bias in reading the book and I can't wait to see how AOFAG will play out free of the misogynistic elements. I adore the soulmate vibe of his story.
#5 Daphne Bridgerton
Same as Benedict, Phoebe's Daphne played a big role in this ranking. If I'd only read the book she'd probably be last for obvious reasons, but the show did make me appreciate her character and (on a second read) her book version too, in the first half of the book. I loved the layers the show gave her plus how, after being briefly angry about Marina lying to her brother, she sympathized with her situation and helped her. Yes, you can say that she was projecting for personal issues but I still appreciate it– it was definitely more than Eloise, who is presented as the supposedly ~feminist~ character did.
#6 Eloise Bridgerton
*sigh* Such a disappointment. All the pseudo-feminist hype in the show only for her book counterpart to get herself compromised with a stranger to escape the oh-so-tragic fate of spinsterhood. (Because obviously being an asshole’s nanny and personal sex doll beats it.) There are aspects of her character I really liked in the show, particularly re her relationships with her siblings (Daphne and Benedict) where her more “real” moments take place. I hope they lean more on them so that her overall writing won't suffer so visibly in future seasons, because the narrative of feeling constrained by gender roles is a great one as long as it's not sloppily done. Not really into the whole Peneloise arc or her obsession with LW though, I just don't care?
#6 Gregory Bridgerton
While not the most interesting Bridgerton, Gregory left a positive impression overall! He was just so cute and hilarious and an absolute drama queen. Plus his weakness for Kate!!! I also really liked how he felt so strongly that his “destiny” so to say was to be a good father and a family man in the epilogues, it's a trope unfortunately mostly used with women.
#8 Colin Bridgerton
He was just so.... boring?? All those charming, meddling moments in other Bridgerton books, and his character turned out to be underwhelming as hell. When I wasn't rolling my eyes at how annoyingly insecure he was over his wife being more successful than him I was just bored. Not at all the devil-may-care rake he's constantly described as. And unlike Benedict or Daphne, his show counterpart doesn't give me any reason to give a damn about his character either, he just makes me more indifferent about what happens to him lmao.
Bridgerton Spouses
#1 Kate Sheffield/Sharma
Need I even explain? I'm swooning over Kate on a daily basis and I'm afraid the fangirling will intensify after March 25.
#2 Michael Stirling
HANDS DOWN BEST MAN IN THE BRIDGERTON SERIES, NO I WILL NOT TAKE CRITICISM
#3 Sophie Beckett
Beautiful Cinnamon Roll, Too Good For This World Too Pure. I adore Sophie. While I get the criticism of her being too “passive” (in that I wanted her to thwack Benedict across the head a bunch of time throughout the book) I don't think she's a weak character at all. I really like her arc of being stuck between two worlds and I am an absolute sucker for the trope where character A of a ship finds a family in character B’s home.
#4 Gareth St. Clair
Didn't I say I have a thing for men with childhood trauma who worship the ground their wives walk on? Hyacinth’s perfect match in every way, not to mention Lady D’s grandson.
#5 Lucy Abernathy
Poor girl gets a lot of heat for being a damsel in distress but for some reason I just found her so endearing?? (It could be because the book had more of a humorous rather than dramatic tone). She was perfect as the levelheaded, practical Juliet to Gregory's overdramatic, moonstruck Romeo. Plus, she's Kate's fave and I can't argue with the taste of my Queen.
#6 Simon Basset
No complaints about Simon's character, the only reason he ranks kinda low is because there are other spouses I like more lmao. As with Phoebe, Regé really made the character shine on screen, he was such a compelling male lead!
#7 Penelope Featherington
Her book counterpart is not unpleasant, I just don't get what all the hype is about to be honest. She was definitely the more interesting of the two in RMB but that doesn't say much given how bland I found them as a couple. As with Benedict and Daphne the show heavily weighs in my opinion of her, except in this case for the worse. I just can't get behind such a hateful person who takes joy out of degrading other people and doesn't even have the ovaries to do it eponymously. What she did to Marina is beyond redemption for me, she just ruined a pregnant girl's life over a crush and worst of all, views her actions as morally justified and feels no guilt about them.
#8 Philip Crane
Fuck that wife-raping asshole who spends the entire book feeling sorry for himself over his wife's crippling depression. Yeah, the show is probably planning to give him a polish to do away with the misogyny but at this point I couldn't care less. I'd much rather watch Marina live and find happiness, rather than him being portrayed as the poor victim of her mental health’s deterioration and her dying to free the way for him and Eloise. Also, if they wanted me to give a fuck they should've actually cast a hot man #sorrynotsorry
