#leverage anon
Note
Leverage anon here, I just watched episodes 5 and 6 on the train ride home (I should've been writing an essay or reading one of like three different books but oh well) and I am *living* for the team bonding so far, I'm excited to see where it's going next!
(I'm gonna go sleep now bc I just realized I've been awake for like, 18+ hours lol, but I'll return when I've had time to watch more)
They’re SUCH good episodes ahh 1000% better than writing an essay xD the bank shot job and the stork job yeah?? When Parker stabs the guy who’s flirting with her I cheer every time 😂 that actor is also in The Librarians which makes me giggle too
Oh! I have just realised that I didn’t tell you about the Season One Episode Order and it’s probably too late now but keep watching the team bond and enjoy ep 7 where you’ll see the MVPs of the FBI again
goodness please get some sleep I’m still recovering from my insanely long travel days from a few weeks ago so yes please rest

When did Sophie get a gay one???
(this is in reference to my post about the flashback episodes of Leverage)
In Redemption! Season 1 episode 11, The Jackal Job. Sophie portrays the older woman who is their client, who is revealed to have run off with her lesbian lover however-many-years-ago. The only difference is that her lover isn't played by another member of the Leverage team (because the only feasible option is Parker (unless they wanted to bring back Tara which I would've LOVED)) as opposed to the flashback episodes in OG which had past-Hardison/past-Parker and past-Eliot/past-Parker
I am still waiting for past-Hardison/past-Eliot btw

🎃👻Happy Halloween!! Could you do something for Leverage or Percy Jackson?🎃👻 Thanks!!
Hardison and Parker start dating first, but Hardison and Eliot's relationship moves faster.
"You're sure you're okay with this?" Hardison asks before bringing it up with Eliot. One wrong move and he could lose someone he loves.
He leaves his hand in the center of the table in case Parker decides she wants to hold it. She usually doesn't, but he wants her to have the option without having to ask for it, if it's something she decides she wants.
"I don't mind if it's Eliot," she says, then looks away, "I think he'll be better at this than me."
"Hey," he says, a little sharper than he'd wanted, and softens his voice. "No one is better at this than anyone else. We'll go at our own pace, and Eliot and I will go at our own pace, and that's fine. There's no wrong way to be in love, Parker."
Heat briefly rushes to her cheeks before she nods and starts fiddling with her coffee cup with both hands.
Eventually, he thinks Eliot and Parker will move at their own pace too, but it's not his place to bring it up, at least not yet.
The whole team knows about him and Parker, and Eliot would rather cut off his own hands than get in between them, so moving slowly and subtly isn't going to work here. It'll just make Eliot either angry or miserable.
"Parker is okay with you and me dating, if you want," he says, just as Eliot takes a sip of his coffee.
He chokes and it goes everywhere and Hardison grins.

I love how the ot3 are still taking classes to learn each other's skills. Do you think that we'll ever see part of those classes? Like the tail end of one at the beginning of the episode right before we find out about the person who needs to be helped?
omg bestie me tf too
I’d LOVE to see, like, hardison and eliot learning how to crack a safe, or eliot practicing fighting forms with parker and hardison, or hardison teaching eliot and parker how to create basic bugs
or parker taking them to a racetrack or something like that and backseat driving making them practice driving maniacally defensive driving
OR ELIOT TEACHING THEM HOW TO COOK (I know that isn’t technically a crime talent, but helloooooooo sharing your love language let’s fucking GO)
or in that vein, even just scenes of parker and eliot watching hardison’s favorite shows and actually paying attention would be really cute
also eliot holding the punching bag as parker and hardison take turns with it, gently critiquing them on their stances and punches. he isn’t gruff with them (unless they tease him) because he genuinely wants them to learn and be able to best protect themselves. he knows they’re both strong and fit and capable, but it helps him rest a little easier knowing that he has taught them better self defense moves
and parker teaching them how to pick out of handcuffs so they will never be trapped if she can’t get to them in time
and hardison teaching them how to deactivate self-destructs and other offensive technological security measures because he never wants them to feel like he felt stepping on udall’s bomb or feel like he felt waiting to hear if parker made it out of that potato safe
logically I know that we probably won’t see it in the show since it (unfortunately) isn’t really centered around the ot3 dynamic, but I’d surely sell my soul to see it on screen

How about a leverage AU with Buck being the Hacker and Eddie being the hitter.
Leverage AU Five Facts:
1. Buck and guns do not mix. He’s not allowed to touch them. He’s not allowed to look at them. He certainly isn’t allowed to even be near them. And if someone makes the mistake of pointing one at him? Well… let’s just say they better start running before Eddie’s eyebrow— Too late!
2. Buck does have a taser. Her name is Natasha.
3. One time Eddie needed rescuing— “No, I didn’t.”— because a group of bank robbers took the bank he was in hostage and they were all dressed like Santa. Buck may or may not have a recording of Eddie having to hype himself up before strangling Father Christmas— “he was a crime lord”— with decorative garland.
4. If Eddie’s bruised knuckles felt infinitely better one late night in the bar when Buck came over and carefully placed a bag of wrapped peas on his hand then that’s his business and no one else’s.
5. They kiss when Buck’s lips are sweet like orange soda and Eddie’s tongue tastes like blood and everything was quiet if only for a little while.
Send Me an AU and I’ll Write Five Facts

This is an open invitation to make all the gifs. I'm asking for them, no string attached. They are asked for.
But seriously I have no idea how to gif and I greatly appreciate the plethora available on here. Thanks :)
Tumblr media
I'll still be making loads of gifs. I gave the series that name and it's too late to change it now 😂 Glad you and others are enjoying my obsession aswell.

They're actually so virulently antisemitic it's insane. "If you hate child murderers you hate Jewish people" is the kind of blood libel not even Qanon could dream up.

hey, it's leverage anon back at it again! do you think roy and keeley crossed paths previously in this au, maybe on opposite sides of a job where roy was hired to protect something keeley was trying to steal (and keeley wins obvi)? or do you think they've only heard of each other through word of mouth and when they actually meet, it's like the spiderman meme with them pointing at each other like "ROY KENT???" "KEELEY???"
Oooohhhhh
I do think that at first it's in the same vein as Ted Lasso, where they know of each other, they've moved in similar circles for years, their names are all over London but they've just never had occasion to meet.
I think the spiderman meme comes screeching into play when they have a Rashomon Job moment where they both realize they foiled each other's heist going after the same golden scepter on the same night and they're both like, "THAT WAS YOU?!!"
In Keeley's defense she was undercover as a waiter so of course she was rocking her Bjork wig with the purple stripe so people wouldn't take a closer look at her face. And there was this guy there, a real proper intellectual type, with the glasses and the sweater, and the look he kept giving her! Piercing eyes, like they could see deep into her soul. She was so rattled that once she went into the vents to make her move, she didn't want to come back out!
In Roy's defense he was at a low place, making the switch from hitting to retrieval specialist, and his hair was like. So long. So curly. Bushy beard. And he was wearing glasses he stole from a guy in the car park (and busy cursing himself because fuck he might actually need glasses), and he had a cozy nerd sweater on so like. Everyone was looking but it wasn't because they were looking for Roy Kent, they were looking for a different reason, you feel?
Meanwhile Rebecca's like "you BOTH were trying to steal my ex-husbands tacky golden scepter under my nose? While I was trying to steal it?" And that confuses Ted because, "If you were already married to him, why would you need to steal it? It's technically yours at that point," and Rebecca is like, "Exactly. I was married to him, Ted. Of course I wanted to steal it."
Meanwhile Beard is just side-eyeing Jamie who ain't said shit.
And the longer Keeley, Rebecca, and Roy go round and round the only thing they agree on is there was this skinny little teenage kid at the museum like on a fucking field trip and he was annoying like he was just constantly underfoot no matter where they went-
"Oh, I know who you mean! He was rather sweet. Kept asking for a glass of champagne- cheeky little thing."
"Was that the one who kept wandering off from the pack? Insufferable. Every time I thought I had an opening, security would interrupt to tell me they found a child wandering into the cordoned off areas. By the time I had a chance to intercept the stupid sceptor, someone had replaced it with a champagne bottle."
No, he was fucking annoying and he dogging Roy's heels and asking Roy questions about Rothko and Hockney ("It's not about the composition. The colors are richer because of the depth of the layers" and "Because he's a twat," respectively). Roy finally thought he got lucky when he nudged the kid towards a buffet table and he started scarfing down food but then the kid almost choked to death and Rebecca does remember that actually she had to take him in the back so they could make sure his parents wouldn't sue have some medical doctor guest take a look at him.
And now Beard and Ted are both just looking at Jamie, and Ted has a bit of a smile on his face, and he's just like, "Jamie? Do you have anything you want to share with the class?"
Jamie winces and admits it was his one and only cyber heist - drawing up a fake school record to get in with a field trip, writing a little program that would temporarily disable the security cameras and motion sensors- he'd done it as a dare to himself to see if he could do it. And- "I never technically stole it. Got as far as stashing it in my school bag, and then the bag went missing. Lost my homework and everything."
And now it's Ted's turn to look apologetic, "Well I am awfully sorry about your homework, but let me tell you- that essay you wrote on Napoleon? Really good stuff. If I was your teacher, I'd have given you an A."
And that's the record scratch moment because Ted? Turns out he was the """medical doctor""" who volunteered to go with Jamie, but was actually there to keep an eye on things for his old security company.
Also they shouldn't beat themselves up to bad about losing because the scepter was a fake. See, once he found it ("in a highschooler's backpack no less!" "no, Ted, we don't call them that here") he got to thinking that the whole thing was mighty suspicious so he did what any normal midwest man would do if he thought he was being taken for a fool -- he called up a friend he knew who'd been to prison and asked if there was a way to tell if gold was fake.
"Lick it."
"Pardon?"
"Lick the scepter. If it's real gold you'll be able to tell."
"...Okay, but for the record I just want it to be acknowledged how much trust exists in this relationship."
And that's how they all (failed) to steal Rupert Mannion's (fake) golden scepter (what a twat).

Hey I was watching Leverage because of your fic, will you do a scene from when Park (Race) rescue a bunch of orphans? Or that episode in general? (Season 1 eps 6)
Leverage AU
I love this episode
Race ran towards Albert’s van, breathing hard as he kicked at the ground and shoved his fists in the pockets of his sweatshirt. “Racer!” Spot called behind him. “Hey—“
“I can’t just leave them there, Sean!” Race whimpered. “You have no idea what that’s like, h-how they live in that place! They treat those kids like vermin! You didn’t see them! You don’t know what that’s like—“
“Slow down, kid,” Spot hushed. “Hey… look at me, you are shaking…” he’d never seen the boy this worked up. He gently took the boy’s hands, but Race ripped away from him.
All Race could think about were all those little eyes looking at him, those hundred kids, waiting for him to do something, anything. They were on the ground, huddled together for warmth and Race didn’t do anything. He sniffled, pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes. “They don’t have anybody…”
“Race…” Spot whispered. “Hey, I know it musta been hard growin’ up—“ Race scoffed, shaking his head. “But you are not alone anymore,” he insisted. “You got people now. A family.”
“I got lucky,” Race whispered. “I escaped. Most of those kids will die before they turn seventeen because there’s not enough food and supplies to go around,” he insisted. “H-how am I supposed ta just leave knowing that’s gonna happen ta them?”
Spot sighed. “We need ta get you back,” he insisted. “We gotta get a game plan, okay? Just… breathe, we’ll figure this out.”
Race shook his head and climbed into the van, curling up and closing his eyes, trying to stop seeing those little faces.
But he couldn’t.
Race snuck through that building silently. He sniffled and slipped back into that room looking around at all of those faces again. He swallowed hard. “Come with me, I can help you,” he whispered.
None of those kids moved. Race cursed a bit under his breath. These kids didn’t speak English. He sniffled and tried to close his eyes and focus. “U-uh… um…” he slipped the translation book out of his pocket and tried to speak. “ne boj se… učiniću tvoj paradajz sjajnim—“ The kids all started laughing at that but Race just glanced at them and continued. “Molim te pođi sa mnom!” Please come with me. That’s what he was trying to say. He motioned for them to come, but none of the kids moved.
He bit his lip, glancing through the crack in the door. “Um… Häagen-Dazs?” he asked.
“Häagen-Dazs!” the kids yelled back in reply, immediately standing up and rushing to follow Race to the door.
The young man smiled at that, opening the door, only to freeze when he found a man standing outside. The man grabbed him by the neck and Race immediately slammed the door shut behind him as he was yanked out of the room. He started fighting immediately, kicking and punching like Spot had taught him. But when it all came down to it, Race knew this man was stronger than him.
Still, he fought as hard as he could until the man had him pinned up against the wall opposite the room. But when Race saw a little boy staring through the crack in the door, he felt the adrenaline rush through him and suddenly it was like he had the strength of a thousand Spots. He shoved the man off of him, jumping up to swing from a loose pipe and knocked the man down a flight of stairs.
Choking a bit, Race rushed back into the room. “Okay! It’s gonna be okay! Come with me,” he insisted, leading the kids down to try and get out of the building, but he stopped them when he saw five men downstairs, hovering over three boxes of deadly assault rifles. He turned to the kids in a panic, but when he saw a familiar face back behind them, he sighed in relief.
“Come on, Race,” Katherine insisted, motioning for the boy to follow her.
Race nodded. “Go on, follow her!” he insisted as they retreated. But when one of the kids coughed, Race froze, looking down at the men who were now looking back at him. “Shit…”
He rushed to stay behind the kids as a voice yelled around the building. “We have you surrounded!”
Race paled, running after Katherine and the kids as they made their way out the back. Katherine spoke to the kids, telling them to hurry.
“Quiet! They have armed guards at that door—“ Race tried, but was cut off by Spot shoving the door open with an unconscious man.
“No they don’t,” Katherine corrected, guiding the kids to a bus that Jack was driving around for them. “Help me get them in!”
Spot grabbed Race as he rushed to do so, pulling him close. “You n’ me need to have a long talk after this, kid,” he insisted before wrangling the kids into the bus. Race climbed onto the back of the vehicle.
Jack started driving them second he got the all clear, but when he saw three armed men running at him. Race gasped. “Why’re we stopping! Go, Jack!”
Jack didn’t. And when the men raised guns to shoot, Race stood at the back of that bus, ready to use his body to shield those kids. He braced himself when he heard the shots fire, gasping when he felt no pain. He looked down at himself to make sure he hadn’t been shot, before looking back at Katherine who shrugged. “Prop truck,” she winked. “You’d be surprised at how fast you can switch out real guns with fake ones.”
With that, Jack smirked as he began driving again. “You did good, kid. But for the love of everything holy, you never go off on your own again, understood?!” he yelled.
Race smiled as Spot helped him up into the bus. “Understood…” Albert looked up at him from the backseat. Race sighed. “How’d you find me?”
“Put a tracker in your shoes, ya slippery bitch,” Albert said.
Race smiled and looked back at Spot. “Thanks. For coming for me.”
“I told you… you got a team—“
“More than a team,” Race smiled at him.
Spot melted and let Racer sit down beside him.

I’m so interested in your take about the level of obsession that certain fandoms invite based on their quality because you’re so right I don’t need to read hunger games fic I got what I needed from the series
But like also sometimes when something is rlly good too I wanna read fic just so I can be in that world a bit longer.
Like for example I love leverage. The og series is great perfect ending no notes. I loooove leverage fic though because it allows me to follow little rabbit holes that aren’t necessary for the overarching story. I wanna see them deal w their trauma yanno?
But then we got the stranger things stuff where not only do you want to explore those things bc you love the premise you also wanna just fix stuff bc the writers really just haven’t landed it
It’s so interesting to me that there’s a whole kind of in between genre for me (and presumably others) where the content is solid and enjoyable but I feel no real need to expand upon it in fic form
This is my ted talk cheers for listening
Yeah, it really is interesting to think about all the little ways people engage in fandom, especially fic. Like you said, the whole thing where you really like the world so you want to live in it a little longer? That's a lovely sentiment, I've thought and TRIED, but I usually read fics in that fandom for a day before getting bored.
There's the opposite extreme, where you don't necessarily get obsessed with it, but out of spite, you write something because jesus, how did the writers fumble that so spectacularly? (I did this with Alice in Borderland lmao).
And then the area where I usually live: the story has extremely compelling elements, usually for me it's gotta be both characters and the world, but there's enough plot holes and dropped plotlines that you can fuck around with forever, and enough left unfinished that you can just keep going. (this is Stranger Things to me).

Hi there!! How about 7 or 27 from the prompt list? It made me think of double face. By which I mean the bye bye buddy mv. (But if that's too specific, anyone else is good too! I'm mainly interested in the prompts themselves)
Don’t worry, that’s not too specific! I am however real bad at action sequences so I rewatched an episode (or three) of Leverage for inspiration which is why this took a while lol 27. “We have five people trying to kill us right now, what are we supposed to do?” “Actually, it’s more like eight.” “Oh, sorry I wasn’t specific enough!” send me prompts!
Kohaku catches his breath with his back against the wall, watching around the corner as their pursuers run straight past them. They’ll figure it out quickly, but he just needs a minute to figure out where to go from here. For a unit meant to work in the shadows, they were noticed very quickly. He’s inclined to blame Madara for that.
Keeping his eyes on the hallway, he says, “We have five people trying to kill us right now. What are we supposed to do?”
“Actually, it’s more like eight,” Madara responds idly.
“Oh, sorry I wasn’t specific enough!” Kohaku whips his head around to glare at him, and pauses. “Are you on your phone right now?”
Madara flashes him a grin and tilts his screen for him to look. Building schematics. “Don’t you worry, Kohaku-san, I’ve got a plan.”
Kohaku listens to him lay out his plan, and is not very impressed. “First you get us caught, now you want us to go into an elevator?” According to the schematics, there do seem to be hidden passages they can reach if they just scale the wires. It would be child's play to escape with them, but Madara wants to use those passages to go up—away from any exits.
“Ah, you wound me! You know I wouldn’t be caught that easily. Someone set us up.”
Kohaku blinks. No longer running for his life, the fog in his head clears a little and he has to admit that he’s right. Madara can be serious when it counts and he is, unfortunately, better than Kohaku. They shouldn’t have been figured out already.
“Okay,” he says. “But why are we going up?”
Madara’s grin widens. “Where else do we go to take over a whole building?”
The control room.

I’m rewatching the Long Way Down Job, and it’s just now hitting that the random assassin guy held that knife to Parker’s throat because even he knew Eliot wouldn’t let her come to harm, even though that man had never spoken to either of them prior but had watched them during their climb. Eliot sees Parker in lethal danger and hands that notebook over without hesitation. He then pulls Parker close to him once she’s sent over to him. Eliot loves Parker and Hardison with everything in him.
