As much as I wanted to, I could never buy into the 2004 mean girls lesbian reading - Cady always just felt too straight, and Regina was too nastily homophobic to Janis for me to personally be able to read her as a lesbian with internalized homophobia. My lesbian heart wanted to buy into it so very bad but I just couldn’t.

Janis is a lesbian - she always was and we already knew that and I’m so glad they weren’t cowards and committed to giving her a girlfriend for prom this time. We see it with the way she treats Janis but keeps the pride pin WHICH by the way is like fanfiction levels of toxic doomed yuri and I appreciate it so much. She has all this popularity and control over the school that she’s so afraid of loosing which causes her to act nasty and bitchy and her being a lesbian can absolutely fit into this - being outed as a lesbian would hurt her popularity and reputation and so she throws Janis away and ruins that relationship, and as she grows older and matures she gets stuck in this toxic mindset where I feel like she knows deep down she’s a lesbian but she’s not letting herself acknowledge it because she knows what embracing that would do to her social life. Gretchen - you can’t tell me that girl isn’t in a horrific one sided situationship with Regina especially after her song!??? That girls WANTS REGINA SO BAD and Regina knows that and again exploits that somewhat unintentionally because she can’t acknowledge her own identity. Gretchen is what Cady very well could have became in a different reality where Cady didn’t have Janis and Damien’s perspective to help her realize what she’s gotten herself into and lead to the conclusion of the film.

ANYWAYS I’m a cadina truther because Janis and Gretchen both have been hurt by Regina and deserve better but that doesn’t mean that Regina doesn’t deserve better either and I thoroughly believe that after the events of the film Cady helps Regina work through her shit and Cady gets the hot dom gf Regina was meant to be

As for Aaron I can absolutely believe that Cady is genuinely attracted to him I don’t think it’s a case of Cady likes Regina but doesn’t realize and so redirects her feelings into a man (tho I also totally support that reading) but dude that guy is so bland there’s no way that relationship lasts.

Tldr a lot of Regina’s behavior and relationships can be explained by her internalized homophobia and the way she somewhat benefits off of the control she gets over her friends who have feelings for her and Cady helps her break the pattern and become a better person

It's struck me today how wild the timescale of this fandom is

(cw for mentions of religious and queer trauma, covid)

Unlike fandoms that get new content (books, tv seasons, etc) on a regular basis, the Good Omens fandom has been essentially self-supporting for decades. I arrived incredibly late to the party, but I've felt more accepted here than anywhere in my life. But looking back at my life really puts in perspective how much fucking time has passed.

The novel was published in 1990. I was not even alive then.

The first season of the show came out in 2019. In 2019 I was deeply closeted at home, somewhat out at school, and had never met a trans person or a queer adult. My access to media was strictly controlled and I didn't really have internet access. I was still fairly religious, but I was experiencing severe untreated mental health issues that I had been raised to believe were my fault for lack of faith.

The lockdown episode of course took place in 2020. I was forced out of the closet by my mother, who had read my texts and, finding nothing, my emails. This was days before I found out I would not be seeing my friends again or even leaving the house for months. I spent several weeks worth of free time in the early days of Covid writing a massive research paper on biblical christianity and queerness, desperate to convince my parents that the bible never said I couldn't be a lesbian. Their rejection of this was the beginning of the end for my faith.

The second season was announced in 2021. I graduated high school and took a gap year for a voluntary residential hospitalization to get my mental health in a safe place so I could go to college. I finally began properly deconstructing my faith but struggled a lot to figure out where that put me. I briefly considered just converting to a different branch of Christianity that was less controlling. I got engaged to my highschool sweetheart.

In 2022 I started college and started to explore gender, made new friends, started catching up on all the queer media I'd missed when I lived with my parents. Officially decided I never wanted to step foot in a church again and then shoved the rest of my religious trauma deep down where I wouldn't have to think about it.

The second season was released the summer of 2023, last year. I waited until I was alone at the house and binged the first season on my mom's prime account. She was around a bit while I watched the second but mercifully didn't have anything too rude to say. I was shockingly, almost neurotypically normal about the show at first.

September of 2023 I broke up with my fiance and started spending more time on tumblr again. Good Omens quickly became my comfort show. In October I started writing creatively again for the first time in nearly five years (long story, loads of trauma), fanfiction obviously. Brainrot set in very quickly.

When season 3 comes out, I will be probably be nearly finished with undergrad. If it takes a long time I might even be totally finished. That's kind of terrifying, but also amazing. 2019 me could have never even imagined such a thing.

Time has always been a strange, gooey thing for me, but looking at how much has changed in a time period that doesn't seem that long numerically is particularly trippy. And that makes me weirdly sentimental. It's crazy to me to be accepted in the kind of space that younger me would have dreamed of, and I look forward to spending the next few years getting excited over this with y'all.

favorite thing about them

She has such a big heart and is genuinely so sweet and caring and is ride-or-die as fuck for the people she cares about. Also she's just so fucking funny and she has these ditzy moments that are so comedically underrated.

least favorite thing about them

I don't like when the writers would use her to air grievances about cast members (but I also think "every time you so much as cooked macaroni and cheese together or farted" is funny and I'm sorry but I can't help but laugh every time I hear that). I also didn't like the dodgeball thing from s3 because it felt like the writers trying to justify Finn outing her (which absolutely isn't justified at all and I hate that there's still people in the fandom trying to act like it was). Also just like with Brittany's 'angry lesbians' comment, I didn't like the whole 'you need a 100% Sapphic goddess' conversation and the biphobia, especially considering it required two actual bi people (Naya and Demi) to utter those words (yikes).

I wish she could have stood up for herself a bit more when the feud with Rachel was resolved (because yeah maybe she took it too far but it wouldn't have gone there if Rachel hadn't overreacted to begin with).

idk if I'd necessarily say "least favourite" more than "most noticeable flaw" but she tends to spiral when she doesn't have control of a situation, which leads to things like the whole Artie situation and later the whole leprechaun thing.

(also ... again more of a "most noticeable flaw" thing than anything else I think she has low self-esteem and a fear of success but I could write an essay on that so we'll save that for another day)

unpopular opinion

That I think she's overhated??? No fr I have no patience for people who call her irredeemable or a terrible person because she wasn't. Santana is best girl point blank period, and in my opinion, even though I love a lot of the other characters as well, she was the best part of Glee.

Santana's version of Don't Rain On My Parade is the superior version.

In terms of some fanon things, fuck JKR but Santana's not a Slytherin and I'll die on that hill. I'm not a fan of the cutesy nicknames people give her in fanfiction. Also her abuela would never allow her middle name to be Diabla so fuck Ryan Murphy for putting that into the universe.

(also idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not but the people who are whining that kevin and jenna talk about naya/santana too much on their podcast seriously need to get a life)

Thank you for the ask! Im guessing its for the ask game(the general opinion is included so yeah) Sorry i didnt answer until now😅

Kiryuu Nanami

General opinion: She is everything to me. Her mere existance confirme half of my theories about Anthy and Akio.

She is a queen. She didnt deserve this.

The reason she isnt in the movie is because she realised the truth about Ohtori in time and when things started to go back to their bad nature she was able to leave.

She is the perfect first character to find out about Akio's abuse because she lived with one of his victims, he ruined her life in-directly and was about to make her another one of his victims. Her character and story are perfect, i would change nothing about her.

(i have a big post about her, Anthy and Shadow Girls to write so stay tuned for that)

A ship i love: i cant decide if i like the idea that Nanami is aromantic or a lesbian(so probably both) and i dont have a ship with her i realy love. I like Nanami x Kozue a bit, mostly for the parrallels, but i have my own problems with Kozue(which is its own topic), so im not sure how much i actualy ship it. But then again, most of my Rgu Ships go under "after 15 years of therapy they can actualy date", so... Who know.

A non-romantic relationship i love: her friendship with Utena and Anthy and her friendship with Saionji. I wish she got a chance to apologize to Anthy once they were both in a good place and far away from their brothers. For Saionji, i hope they got to meet after he left Ohtori with Juri and Miki. If he grew as a person(which is necessery for escapong Ohtori) he would be a great big brother. Also, the egg episode realy sells me the idea he is her brother figure. "No appreciation for brotherly advice".

A NOTP: Nanami x Touga and Nanami x Akio(OBVIOUSLY). I havent seen anyone ship it and GOOD. That is a one way ticket to hell. I Also dont like Nanami x Saionji, but thats mostly personal opinion cuz i see them as siblings. Might Also be the age gap but idk.

My biggest headcanon about them: as i said, SHE LEFT THE OHTORI NOT LONG AFTER THE SERIES FINALE! She is also an animal person but is not used to them because of her family(cats trigger he trauma too). Once she and Anthy make up, BECAUSE THEY WILL, Anthy lets her spend time with her animal friends, maybe even helps her adopt an animal of her own.

An idea for fanfiction: Nanami meeting with everyone from Ohtori after they escape, exploring their relationships once they arent under control of their abusers.

(this one is in my WIPs, i Just have to finish it) Weed bride. Anthy and Nanami smoke blunts together along with everyone else. They Also take over Ohtori. I dont wanna spoil anything.

Something that makes me think of them:

Songs "Oh no!" and "Family jewels" by Marina and the diamonds, "allies or Enemies"(about her and Touga) and "Take me to War" by crane wives. And a few more but this is on the top of my mind.

Kyouichi Saionji

General opinion: He was the perfect first antagonists for the series. He is so pathetic, no one takes him seriusly, which is a perfect foil to Akio being adored and trusted by many characters.

He most likely isn pure evil as he is still a child, but he should defenetly be taken responsible for his actions(abuse of Anthy).

A ship i love: touga x Saionji but ONLY AFTER 20, NO, 40 YEARS OF THERAPY! They both hurt each other, they should solve their problems. I wish we saw Saionji's Thoughts about Touga in the movie, but hey, we cant have everything.

A non-romantic relationship that i love: as i said, he would make a great brother to Nanami. As i doubt either of them will ever see Touga again, they could help each other with the trauma. Saionji defenetly has family problems, everyone does in Ohtori.

I also like his friendship with Wakaba, i dont ship them tbh. I feel like she can put him in his place with ease(she beat Utena up as a petty joke).

Not realy a positive relationship, but his rivalry with Utena is very intresting. He is like a trashy version of her. Their straight love intrests are each other's real crushes, but they project. This would all be solved if the world wasnt homophobic. I want them to fight, middle-school-girl style cuz Saionji would get his ass handed to him.

A NOTP: saionji x Akio (OBVIOUSLY) and Saionji x Nanami (again, its just my personal preference)

My biggest headcanon about them: he projected Touga onto Anthy. Thats what kinda stings about how he treated her. Its obvious that relationship was going nowhere, but he never even liked her for her and so it was Just cruel.

He feels as if he isnt good enough for people around him and was at some point jealous about Touga's relationship with Akio cuz it seemed like Touga was so much more mature that he was getting attention of another adult.(angsty i know, but its based on reality)

A fanfic idea: him and Nanami meeting again(as you can see, im very normal a out them)

Maybe an AU where he and Touga dont go so off the edge ti become the pricks they are in the canon and instead Run away with Nanami and live as a little family(THIS SHOW HURT ME, OKAY)

In weed bride, Anthy wrecks his shit cuz he was with Touga and she was about to end Touga so obviously he will get some too. (that fic is Just pure crack)

Tatsuki Shiori

Something that Reminds me of them: tbh i cant think of anything right now.

General opinion: gurlfailiure. I love her. Just another child in a cruel world. She only had the worst adults to look up to and so she hurt the Ones she loved the most. She has room to grow and redeemed herself, she is only a child after all.

I think her place in the movie was great because of that. (i think her role was methaphore for what happend after the series finale, Just like with everyone else)

A ship that i love: i like Juri x Shiori and kinda Shiori x Kozue(both girls are disasters) but i wouldnt say i love either of those. Again, years of therapy, then they can get bitches.

A non-romantic relationship i love: not sure

Maybe her relationship with Touga cuz i dont see it as a real romance. I like it for the narrative(its not realy healthy) and how we found out a lot about Touga trough it.

I think her relationship with Ruka was a perfect example of an older guy messing with a younger girl. Toxic and cruel.

A NOTP: Shiori x Akio (look i have to make sure its known i do not unde any circumstances support these Ships) and Shiori x Ruka(he is an abusive asshole. A mini Akio, if you will)

My biggest headcanon about them: she is queer and full of internalised homophobia. She loved Juri but she is Just another pawn in Akio's game and so she could do nothing but hurt her. I dont think they made up after the end of the movie, im not even sure Shiori escaped, so idk if they even met after.

She liked Touga less because he is a prince and more because he is like a rose bride(like her, in a way) but is not a girl so its fiiine(side eye).

A fanfic idea: i dont have any right now

Maybe exploring her movie role and/or her mindset trough a fanfic?

lemme try clearing it, Vill V and Y/N were once childhood friends, due to some accident (let's say a sudden honkai attack) Y/N was hospitalised and forgot some memories including her time with Vill-V and all. Rumors spreads wide and reached Vill-V ears that Y/N is dead (which is a false rumor). And she went Otto mode, like she went the Villain way even tho there's a better option.

Vill-V stares at the battlefield unfold before her, all thanks to the strange core she found on the other day giving Vill-V the power to control the beast she once was against.

Those grey pink eyes lost its shine on the same day she lost you, letting the kind and friendly Vill-V buried in dust replace with the Villain Vill-V, well looks like our main Vill-V is gone.

“ Villy I knew I would find you here! ” The (h/c) said with a smile when they swung the door open causing one of her creations to drop on the floor and you winced at the sound.

‘ Villy ’ that's the nickname you give her when the two of you first meet.

“ (Y/n)! Open the door gently please! ” Vill-V yells from the deeper part of the room.

Every time you budge into her workplace Vill-V purposely places one of her failed creations beside the door where it will fall off when the door bangs /slams against the wall, Saving her time to unscrew the part, letting it fall apart.

“ Sorry! I will clean it up in no time! ” You yelled back as you grabbed the broom behind the door.

A few minutes after you carry all the parts and dump it in the box full of metal and material goods.

The (h/c) walk to the working table where Vill-V is busy drawing the draft and you make yourself comfortable sitting on the table.

“ There we go! Now Villy.. ” you grab the pen from her hand followed by Vill-V look at you with a slightly annoying face which you smirk at her reaction every time you take the pen.

“ It’s time to touch some grass! ” ( and so do you * pointing you all who’s in front of the screen* )

The (h/c) put the pen away and grab Vill-V’s hand only resulting in her gripping on the door frame tightly while you try to pry her off it.

“ Come on Villy! You need some break here and there! ”

“ NOOOO! MY TOOLS! MY CREATIO——-MMM?! ”

Simple way of cutting someone off,

“ N-Now sh-hush my dear-est m-magician. ( 〃▽〃) ” Vill-V swore to god she saw steams coming from your head while dragging her away.

I must say.. that kiss is very sweet, did (y/n) eat candies behind my back again? Back in that time I was the one who’s supposed to be embarrassed instead you were red as a tomato while dragging me out…

A Child Vill-V sitting on the grass while trying to stuff a small rabbit in her hat which didn't work out as she let the rabbit jump away.

Her parents were proud when Vill-V showed her liking towards magicians and machinists, they cleaned out a workplace in their backyard for Vill-V which he spent most of her time there.

It was not long before her parents' friends came along with you, entering her life bringing a new shine though her daily life since your parents moved beside Vill-V’s parents house.

An energetic yet a little clumsy person you are.

“ Villy!~ woaaa—-! ” Surprisingly the (h/c) did not see the small rock while skipping their way to Vill-V and tripped on it.

Now we have a human ball rolling down the small hill aiming Vill-V who did not heard you called out for her until she heard someone screaming which found you rolling straight at her.

“ WHAT IN THE—- ”

“ So that’s why you two have wounds huh? ” Vill-V’s mother said as she was taking care of the wound of the both of you who crashed into spiky bushes due to the accidents.

“ Im sorry Mrs. V… I wasn’t looking.. ” You apologized to her mother.

“ It’s alright dear, also your parents agreed for you to stay overnight here. ”

“ Really!? ” you suddenly lean over the chair causing you to almost fall over if isn’t for Vill-V to pull your back by your shirt/dress or you would facepalm the ground for the second time.

“ You really need to be more careful (y/n)... ” Vill-V looks at you with a worried face while you chuckle at her words.

In short when the Honkai breakout happened in your city few people survive and that includes you and Vill-V who joined the Firemoths, one become the soldier and other become a machinist due to her ability.

Today was your second mission hunting down a herrscher, all gears are ready and your teammates… were some asshole getting all the credits left you in the dust, currently on the helicopter a few minutes before landing.

“ Let’s get this over.. You need to ask Vill-V out for a date after. ” you mumbled while tightening the parachute for landing and grab the Abyss flower which you have been approved to be the user.

* BOOMMM! *

The sound when thunder strikes the plane and explodes at the same time, the doors are open leaving you with one choice while the helicopter is falling and your teammates are knocked out.

The (h/c) jump out and just before they open the parachute another attack is thrown at them, thanks to the falling speed you were unhurt.

After safely landing you quickly speak to the walkie talkie.

“ This Is (c/n) I have found the herrscher! In (city name) center! My teammates are killed in action! I repeat! A herrscher is sighted in (city name) center! Over! ”

Few minutes of silent before Kevin’s voice beez

“ This Is Kevin, My teammates and I are near the center, we have found (c/n) teammates and the pilot’s bodies, get yourself cover (c/n), Out. ”

The (h/c) quickly run into some rundown buildings and start to take care of their wounds from the explosion.

“ This is Dr.Mei, (c/n) do you see what power the herrscher is associated with? Over. ”

“ Is something with purple light just like thunder, over. ”

Suddenly the building starts to break down due to the herrscher hearing voices and deciding to bury you, now with still having the radio on everyone heard your screaming as you are being buried and the walkie talkie was crushed a few seconds after.

“ Hey hey (r/m), have you heard the news ? ”

“ What news? ”

“ The news of the sixteenth team was wiped out during the hunt for Herrscher of thunder. ”

“ That? I heard from the thirty sixth team that they heard the screaming of the last member before they died. ”

“ The teams that were sent out were a little traumatized when they got back. ” When they spotted Vill-V staring at them, they quickly get far away from her workplace.

It’s only been two hours after Kevin and the teams got back, she kept hearing the sixteenth team being wiped out news all over the base while having her head buried in creation and herrscher cores.

Strange..

Very strange

Usually when you return from your mission, the (h/c) would immediately drag her out of the workplace for some fresh air and ignore her injuries all the time.

Vill-V hates the sinking feeling that gets bigger and bigger as the time passes by. She caught a few people who’s talking about the sixteenth team and asked them what happened.

They give her a sympathetic look before spills about what they know and the last line caught her off.

“ The Sixteenth team…... one of them was named (c/n). ”

“ Are you an idiot? (c/n) is (y/n)! ” The person beside them quickly corrected and Vill-V widened her eyes.

“ Ah yea (c/n) is (y/n), Yea so…..” they turned around to Vill-V who was gone.

Vill-V walks back to her workplace, remembering she secretly hid a life detector in your uniform which she stopped checking after you managed to get back to her every time alive.

She slams the door open and searches every inch of the workplace and finally finds a phone size monitor,

“ Why is it broken at the worst time?! ” Vill-V grinds her teeth, her patience starts to loosen.

“ Hey Main, let me try to fix it. ” “Expert” voice echoing through her mind, right she usually leaves the machine stuff to her so maybe..

All the Vill-Vs stare at the monitor not wanting to believe the results it's showing.

Her childhood friend is confirmed dead.

The last detection was four hours ago.. and the detector is marked destroyed.

“ Expert” throws the monitor on the ground in anger, every Vill-Vs feels that they are sinking in an ocean and can’t breathe with regrets eating them up.

Vill-V quickly takes control back and locks the door slowly, leans down and hugs her knees, she feels a lump form in her throat as she slowly breathes in… out.. and in again.

Within a few minutes tears blinding her sight and slid down from her face, looking down a bit Vill-V spotted a dity gold gift box under the table beside, your birthday gift which she forgot to open.

Inside she finds a teddy bear with a mini hat like hers and a birthday letter.

What a fool she is.

The blonde girl dumped a few bodies on top piles of dead ones, she cleaned up the blood on her hands before heading back to the new base.

She requested to move to another moth base to help them grow in weaponry stuff which the higher up agreed but before she left Vill-V took some of your personal belongings like clothes you frequently wear and your hair brush.

“Mad” carefully extract the DNA from the clothes and you know the rest, none of them works nor having a conscious.

“Mad” was the previous Vill-V. She jailed other Vill-Vs except “ Pride” and “Expert ”.

( Pride was the one In ER that tries to trap Mei in her conscious in chapter 31 i think .. or is it 30? )

Turning our attention to you

The (h/c) woke up to see white clean ceiling yet they had a strange urge to get up from the bed and ran off to somewhere.

You held out your hand in the air and the bandages caught you off, they don’t remember being injured or something, curiously you sit up and unwrap the bandages to find scars all over it.

“ (Y/n)….” You look over to see a purple haired woman wearing a lab coat followed by a whited haired male who seems to want to place a hand on the purple haired shoulder but quickly pulls back.

“ It’s no use Mei.. ”

Suddenly a transporter who’s carrying a large amount of concrete into the training room brake hard causing all to fall on the floor.

The sound brings you back to some run down building when it suddenly crumbles burying you alive and you saw purple lighting.

Right… you were on a mission and what..?

‘ (Y/n)! Look at me! ” the scene around you changes to normal with Mei shaking your shoulder.

“ waaaaa….. st..op…sha…king mmeeeee! ” You grab her hands.

“ Sorry.. you’ve been staring blankly at the window for six minutes and I got a little worried. ”

“ Ha ha very funny to shake me like that. ” Forget about the problem in your hand, the trio went out for some food.

You sighed as you walked In the hallway of gods knows where but when you pass by a workplace the strange yet familiar feeling makes you open the door to find no one but some metal and machine parts.

‘ Weird..’ you thought to yourself as you closed the door and continued wondering your way to the cafe.

Little do you know, that workplace belongs to Vill-V.

Back to the battlefield.

Honkai beasts fight against the Firemoths as they try to make their way to the new base where “ Mad ” falsely reported being taken over and trapped.

The beasts over number the remaining humans thought they are winning the battle but it was not until a familiar voice shouted through the battle.

“ I am the black that devours everything! ” “Mad” scans through the crowd to find the owner of the voice.

“ I am the white that gave birth to everything! ” The (h/c) rise the Abyss flower above their head, the silver parts reflected the sun giving a shine which caught “ Mad ” attention instantly.

“ Before the birth of the world, I existed after the annihilation! ” She can’t believe it… You are alive!

“ Abyss flower second edition! BANISH BLOOM! ” Right you finish a white flash blinding the battle.

After the light dies down a large number of Honkai were wiped out leaving few higher class alive and you one knee kneeling on the ground burned out using the abyss flower.

Vill-V chuckled as tears fell from her face, she turned her back to the battle and walked back to the base then she went to the workplace destroying every little evidence of her trying to bring you back alive.

Before she puts on her act, all the honkai beasts are everywhere in the base and the herrscher that’s once in her control has broken free to start destroying the base.

Vill-V leans on the door and a smile forms on her face while tears fall down.

What a fool is she to believe some shitty rumours, but at least she gets to see you again.

The making of a *midlife bisexual*

(I describe my personal experience of a spontaneous shift in sexual orientation at age 42, as viewed through my novice understanding of the lens of Germanic Healing Knowledge/German New Medicine (GHK/GNM). Since this rudimentary analysis (including any flaws in my emerging understanding) is mine just for me and my friends, I prefer to not cite my sources here and will refer to them by initials only. I share this personal analysis with the utmost respect for mySelf and all queer folks. I recognize my tender experience and the way I witness and understand it is unique and not the same as anyone else’s.)

“German New Medicine is not only a new paradigm of medicine, it is also a new consciousness. It is the awareness that our organism possesses an inexhaustible creativity and remarkable self-healing capabilities. It is the recognition that each cell of our body is endowed with a biological wisdom we share with all living beings.” (LGNM)

When SB277 (removal of personal belief exemptions for vaccines for school children) was fast tracked through the California State Legislature during the first half of 2015, my psyche experienced multiple conflict shocks, resulting in a shift in my sexual orientation. “The psyche controls all organs via the brain.” (B.E.) “A conflict occurs in the psyche when the individual is caught on the wrong foot, feels threatened, and feels isolated in regard to the threat. Conflicts are not something that happen, they are our resistance of a negative experience. The conflict is something that the psyche is doing, and will do so in either a feminine way, in a masculine way, or in a constellated way. The masculine and the feminine are how we do that resisting. (By masculine and feminine, I mean the psyche and its orientation on reality.) Sexuality is feminine territory, and masculine ‘owns’ the territory. When we ‘close off’ the right territorial area (because it is busy resisting a negative experience), we respond to unwanted territorial experiences from the left territorial area, which means we respond in a feminine way, which means in a sexual way (because the feminine territory is sexuality). Regardless of whether we are resisting negative territorial events in a feminine or masculine way, it is a biological conflict. It is not who or what we are anymore than our amount of skin pigment or how big our teeth are. These physical feelings and tissue manifestations are the result of what is and was happening in the psyche. (L.S.)

I now identify as bisexual, though the creation mechanism as viewed through the GHK/GNM lens, is the same for other same-sex female attractions. “To make a lesbian, it’s a sexual constellation plus a fear-disgust conflict. Post-mortal constellation with sexual overtones to both the sexual conflict on the left hemisphere and the territorial loss in the right hemisphere. This is now the nympho constellation. Coupled with a fear-disgust conflict (alpha islet cells - hypoglycemia). It can occur early in life or later. The intensity plays a role as well in how likely she will stay with her husband.” (A.L.) “When someone is sexually gay, they have been threatened/dominated by the masculine. The female psyche rejects the masculine, and she becomes a lesbian. Girls and women tend to have a more fluid identity. Masculinity, femininity, identity, and sexuality are all related to territorial conflicts.” (L.S.)

Fear-disgust conflict is the feminine response to adversity (whereas resistance conflict is the masculine response to adversity). In 2015, I experienced fear, disgust, and revulsion to SB277, tyranny, and abusive authority (government) doing disgusting things. The conflict impacts alpha islet cells, causes sugar storage and weight gain. The biological function is energy storage for the coming escape/retreat, and as needed loss of consciousness, playing dead, withdrawing from reality. I did ultimately escape/dissociate into fanfiction and fantastical relationships. Transformed: “Where the love is, you will find the solution there.” (B.E.)

As an aside, it is interesting to note that I experienced a resistance conflict as well. In the absence of men stepping forward in that role, mothers were the ones to step forward to defend our children and by extension ourselves. Through SB277, I was coerced/compelled against my will. I refused. I believed I needed to fight against the onslaught of tyranny. I wanted to be seen, and instead I felt tortured. I believed I was not strong enough to endure. I was faced with a superhuman task of standing on the shore and holding back a tidal wave. I felt that task must be accomplished at all costs yet felt no hope or possibly of being able to accomplish it. It is relevant to note that after the initial resistance conflict, the affected person will often run on that track for the rest of their life. (B.E.) That is one of the tracks I’m resolving now for myself and my lineage.

The male (right hemisphere) loss-of-territory I experienced was a felt-loss of the entire territory (external territory) of “my Shire”/my California/my homeland along with my sense of secure and supportive community. I felt abandoned, betrayed, and shamed by my former political party (the Democratic Party), my state representatives, society at large, and some of my former friends. The biological function of the conflict activity is to increase the luminal diameter of the arteries to better supply the heart with blood to increase the heart’s performance in order to be able to win back the lost territory or territorial content (a second chance through “BioTuning”). (B.E.) I understand now through the mind-body/energetic lens that the heart is a powerful transmuter and can literally alchemize emotions like shame, fear, and anger.

The female (left hemisphere) loss-of-territory conflict is an internal loss of her territory, namely her partner. I can look back and see that, though my beloved husband did not object to my activism and attended one rally, he did not engage otherwise in the activism efforts and did not engage with me in conversation about the onslaught I was facing each day in defense of our child’s bodily autonomy, sovereignty, and human rights. Fathers largely did not show up to defend and resist. We mothers mostly stood on our own. I can see how deeply this influenced my feelings of abandonment and aloneness. The biological function of that conflict activity is increased sensibility, a relaxed cervix, and favorable sex drive, creating favorable conditions for conception which is a biological solution for the conflict. (B.E.)

The sexual conflict that I experienced was feeling widely disregarded, dishonored, shamed, and offended as a woman and mother. I witnessed thousands of my fellow activist women and mothers similarly disregarded, dishonored, shamed, and offended. Adding to that conflict was feeling unable to provide a good nest for my child. I felt a loss of my own body sovereignty, perceiving vaccination without consent as medical rape.

Through the course of 3 months of political activism, I experienced loss of desire to live in this world. A post mortem constellation (afterlife constellation) consists of a female loss-of-territory conflict plus a male loss-of-territory conflict. The biological function of the constellation: the individual feels that in this world, everything is lost, and their place is in the afterlife. Transformed: “I will use my short life on Earth to leave behind traces of love.” (B.E.) “The purpose of the constellation is to allow the individual to retreat into the ‘realm of death’ until life provides better circumstances. Coming out of the constellation is like a rebirth.” (LGNM)

Shortly after coming to awareness that I no longer wanted to live in this world, I experienced a prolonged period of hypersexuality. A nympho/Casanova constellation (increased sex drive) consists of a female loss-of-territory conflict plus a male loss of territory conflict which is also a sexual or partner related conflict. The biological function of the constellation: strong sexual desire leads to quick mating choice which leads to a solution to the loss-of-territory conflicts. Transformed: “I realize sexual union is merely the physical aspect of an even greater union. Becoming one, in this greater sense, is permanent and provides true happiness.” (B.E.) “A strong nympho constellation can lead to excessive sexual behaviors such as obsessive sexual fantasies, an addiction to pornography, compulsive masturbation, and an uncontrollable sexual desire.” (LGNM)

During the months while the post-mortem constellation and nympho constellation were active, I was filled with an intense feeling of “divine love.” That’s when I was floored by the awareness that I have the capacity to experience romantic and sexual attraction to women.

I still have that awareness even though it seems the constellations are no longer active, though I’m not certain if the loss-of-territory conflicts still may be active or recurring, because the protracted loss of homeland feeling has persisted until quite recently. Lately I’ve been feeling a degree of reconnection with California and some soft-joy to be here in the present moment, though I can see the possibility that I will find a sense of home elsewhere in the future.

Additionally, throughout the past two years in particular I’ve been feeling with increasing clarity that my husband is standing with me in a shared reality where coerced medicine has no place. We are Neo and Trinity in this reality. We have each other’s backs mutually in support of our sovereignty. Though I’m considering the possibility that our backs are also held by the benevolent universe of our co-creation.

That said, I don’t believe my husband would have the capacity to fully embrace my bisexuality. This is just my conjecture. I speculate that because of his early life conditioning, my husband might feel betrayed or otherwise threatened by my attraction to women. Years ago when I brought my attraction up in a general sense, he said the subject didn’t interest him. And I have not yet pursued further conversation about the subject with him specifically. It has felt like, why would I want to talk about the *spark* that I feel about women kissing women, for example, with someone who isn’t interested in hearing about that spark that I feel? I’d rather talk about that with someone who is interested in hearing about that and is comfortable with that conversation. I recognize that *spark* I feel is Eros, it’s my vital life force energy. I recognize it is worthy of being seen. I recognize I AM worthy of being fully seen, known, heard in emotional attunement.

I feel my husband has my back and loves me deeply, but part of me does still fear losing his respect and love. Part of me does not believe his love for me is unconditional. A big part of me believes he does not want to see/know/hear me fully, because the fullness of me would somehow feel threatening or wounding or shameful to him. These beliefs I am holding reflect where I am probably still in conflict, concerned that I will lose, or don’t even have now, the “territory” that is my husband’s love. I know I have personal work I still need to do in order for this to resolve. I know this is actually about my own path of self-acceptance and self-embrace, not really about my husband.

Recently, the felt-sensations of the old archetypal wounds of abandonment, betrayal, and shame have been starting to dissolve. I witness the one who feels the memory of how those wounds have been touched throughout the past 7 years, even though I know those wounds are old and were created long before SB277.

I can see the possibility that I’ve been co-creating ALL of the experiences which have brought the old wounding to my awareness to be integrated for myself and my lineage backwards and forwards in time, because integration happens in the realm of freedom which knows no time.

There are other lenses through which I can and do choose to view my complex and spontaneous midlife transition sexual awakening, which was an aspect of a much broader awakening to who I really AM. The GHK/GNM lens feels personally relevant and helps make sense of an experience that for a long time felt to me to be nonsensical and not rooted in reality, despite being felt in an embodied way every day for the past 7 years. I embrace being a queer woman in a loving monogamous marriage to my husband who is *the Sam to my Frodo.* I am grateful for this outcome I co-created thus far, and for having the capacity to sense the energetic resonance within my relationships and the capacity to love human beings beyond their physical form.

A final note: just because we may experience conflict shocks doesn’t mean that there’s actually anything wrong. I’m beginning to see more clearly the possibility that everything is happening FOR me. I don’t know that yet, but I’m staying curious.

IM DOIN IT BITCHESSSSS IM WRITING THE CROSSOVER

Right now it’s just a brief draft of what I’m planning to write, but I figured I’d give everyone a sneak peak!

Note: there’s no guarantee that this scene will even be in the final story. There is a very high chance that many lines will be changed, as well as characters added or removed. This is gonna be a huge project for me, as both of these games have had a gigantic impact on my life, so I’m very grateful for them and I’m determined to write this crossover carefully.

Snippet;

A new AWE. Jesse Faden’s first one since Ordinary. She was in her office when a ranger came in and informed her of the news. The Director sprinted into Central Executive and met Arish and Emily in the middle of the Control Point, all of them panicking.

“What happened? Where is it?” Jesse immediately asked, jogging slightly to meet her two friends. Jesse had her golden suit on, Arish his normal ranger outfit, and Emily, of course, donned a blouse and suit pants.

“What we know so far,” Arish began. “Is that some kind of weather anomaly happened in a small town called Arcadia Bay.” Jesse flinched at the mention of a small town, but was thankful it wasn’t about Ordinary again.

“Nearly the entire town population died due to some kind of tornado-hurricane,” Emily spoke. “Only a few people survived, and we’ve tracked them all down. Their names-“ she flipped a paper on her clipboard. “are Max Caulfield, Chloe Price, and Kate Marsh. Max’s parents are currently residing in Seattle, and we’ve located Chloe’s mother, Joyce, as well as her step-father, David Madsen. The two we are focusing on, however, are Max and Chloe. They were at ground zero.”

“They know what happened.” Jesse nodded thoughtfully. “So we need to find them. Where are they now?”

“Currently in Portland, Oregon.” Answered Arish. The Director gave a brisk nod before looking determined at both of her staff.

“Under no circumstances will we attempt to kidnap or harm these women.” Jesse snapped. “I am The Director. This is my Bureau now, and what I say, goes. We do not hurt these two, or any of the survivors, in any way. Am I clear?”

“Yes, Director!” Both Emily and Arish called. A few rangers looked their way and gave a two fingered salute before going back to their usual posts. Jesse’s eyes lingered on the door where Dylan was being kept.

I’ll be here when you wake up, brother.

Polaris filled her with a comforting warmth, something the entity had done for Jesse since she merged with her.

If you wake up.

Blinking back her sadness for her brother, she motioned for Emily to follow her.

“Arish, gather up a few rangers,” Jesse ordered. “Rather be safe than sorry.”

“Yes, ma’am!” Arish saluted, then fled to find capable rangers.

Emily led the way into the Boars Room, with Jesse right behind her. They both sat in their usual chairs. Emily, clipboard still in hand, grabbed a pen and began writing something. Jesse sighed.

“Give me the details on the two women.” She murmured. The blonde cleared her throat and stared at her paperwork.

“Max Caulfield, female, age nineteen. Place of birth, Arcadia Bay, Oregon. Current residence is Portland, Oregon.” She flipped to the next page of information. “Chloe Price, female, age twenty. Place of birth, Arcadia Bay, Oregon. Current residence is Portland, Oregon.” Jesse sat in silence for a moment, thinking.

“Both were born in Arcadia Bay,” she began. “And at the time of the AWE, they both were reportedly there when the... storm came through.” Emily nodded, confirming.

“The other survivors supposedly had no clue what it was, but according to recent reports, Max and Chloe were the only ones who acted strangely when asked about the anomaly.” The scientist explained. She suddenly dropped her professional tone and leaned towards the redhead. “Jesse, look, if they caused it somehow, they are dangerous. We need to be careful. The tornado... thing, wasn’t the only weather anomaly that happened.”

Jesse twitched a brow. “Dangerous? Like me? Or my brother?” Emily winced, and Jesse calmed down. “I’m sorry. Just... we can’t just judge the situation based on a few scattered reports. We need to assess the issue ourselves.” Emily seemed to agree.

We won’t ever be like Trench.

Polaris chimed in agreement, her fractals of blue in Jesse’s peripheral. She stood, wiping her hands down her golden suit, and stared at Emily with fire in her eyes.

“We’re going to find them.”

top 10 gayest h2o episodes: a definitive ranking

i'm back with another ranking, but this time it's a little different! today, i'll be ranking the top 10 gayest episodes of h2o: just add water. (in MY opinion. i realize that this show has no canonically LGBT+ characters, but come on, the subtext. also, i write sapphic h2o fanfiction, what did you expect?) anyway, please don't take this too seriously, it's just for fun.

honorable mention: 1x05 "something fishy"

i'm just going to link this post and let it speak for itself.

10. 1x26 "a twist in the tail"

the episode where the girls are "outed" (the official h2o jaw youtube channel uses this term, no joke) to dr. denman, zane, his father, and nearly the world. thankfully they're able to avert exposure with advice from their gay mermaid mentor/queer elder, miss chatham. however, they begrudgingly have to give up their tails (temporarily, though they don't know this). even with the challenges that being gay a mermaid poses, they've still come to love what they are.

9. 2x11 "in over our heads"

rikki almost dies trying to retrieve a deep-sea treasure and emma cradles rikki's head in her arms while trying to save her. so... yeah. emma also shows hostility towards rikki's boyfriend, zane... and i get that he was a mermaid hunter last season, but this also reads like emma is jealous of his relationship with rikki. but on the flipside, zikki is kind of like a het relationship for gay people. idk. there's a lot going on here.

8. 3x21 "the jewel thief"

rikki and bella's moon crystal necklaces gravitate towards each other and cause a city-wide electrical blackout. this is gay, please don't make me explain. oh, cleo also gets a matching crystal necklace in this episode and the girls all wear them to symbolize their "friendship" (or are they just in a throuple? nobody knows).

7. 1x18 "bad moon rising"

mainly put this episode here because of emma's iconic line to rikki: "if we're going somewhere we're going together" and then their smoldering gazes that follow. but, generally, the subtext is off-the-wall. when rikki loses control of her powers, she thinks she's a danger to society and tries to isolate herself—just like how gay people have been told for thousands of years that we're destructive to society. this one is kinda sad actually :(

6. 1x07 "moon spell"

not only are we introduced to camp gay miss chatham, but there's something really queercoded about embarrassing your family at a party (as emma does in this episode). she also calls rikki "rikki baby" and now i'm realizing that this ranking is pretty much a love letter to rikma.

5. 2x04 "fire and ice"

sometimes i think the writers just forgot who rikki's canon love interest was at the time?? half of these season 2 episodes frame rikki and emma as girlfriends. anyway, emma's desire to be rebellious and wild reads like a baby gay trying to be something they're not after coming out. in the b plot, nate tells lewis he's not "manly" enough and the latter struggles with this. maybe it was unintentional, but some lines make it seem like the show is queercoding lewis. i'm here for it, either way.

4. 2x17 "moonstruck"

a moonstruck rikki and cleo try to expose emma as a mermaid to ash, but without context, you'd think they're trying to tell him that emma's a lesbian and that's why she's been so secretive and distant with him. another mermaid=gay allegory? no one knows for sure, but sources (me) say yes!

3. 2x06 "pressure cooker"

ah, yes... another episode where the writers forgot that rikki and emma weren't dating, included multiple scenes of them on an actual date, and hoped we wouldn't notice. plus, we see that rikki is emma's phone wallpaper. cleo and charlotte also could've had an enemies-to-lovers moment here, but what do i know?

2. 1x01 "metamorphosis"

three teenage girls discover something life-altering about themselves and must stay closeted keep the secret from the rest of society. in the process, they become much closer to one another but also feel isolated from their families and other girls their age. are we reeeally certain that this isn't an allegory? sure, a lot of this applies to the rest of the show, but "metamorphosis" is the episode that started it all, so...

1. 2x18 "the heat is on"

this episode is actually the reason i made this ranking. not only does rikma's homoerotic feud cause a thunderstorm, but they (+ cleo) ditch their boyfriends at the juicenet to celebrate their "anniversary" of becoming mermaids. okay, straighties! bonus points for zane and ash's UST during that game of pool.

it doesn't surprise me that this list consists mostly of season 2 episodes, because rikma was probably at its peak (imo) in the first half of season 2. it also doesn't surprise me that only a single season 3 episode is here. i'm not sure why that is—maybe it's emma's absence, maybe it's the way the tone of the show shifted considerably from the end of season 2 to the beginning of season 3. anyway, hope you enjoyed this :-)

I don't want to be insensitve but there this woman book reviewer who got upset at women writing M/M claiming they were glorifying abusive relationships, fethizing queer men and they had internalized misogyny. I unfollowed but I still can't get her words out of my head. Is she right?

i'm gonna be completely honest, all three of those arguments from that reviewer are red flags to me. somehow many female book & fanfic readers find a way to demonize other female readers and writers of m/m romance and erotica with the same stupid arguments. so let's break it down:

"fetishizing queer men"

this is one of the most common takes i see from people who are against women creating and consuming m/m content. it's also blatantly false. there are many reasons why a woman might want to read m/m romance or sex - it's a reprieve from politicized male/female sex roles; if it's fanfiction, there are more well-developed male characters in whatever media it is; and men are sexy so of course they like the idea of men having sex with each other. it only becomes fetishizing if you go up to real life queer couples and expect them to perform for you, like how men expect lesbians to have sex just so that they can watch. those are real lesbians, real gay men - not fictional characters.

also there's the matter that some women relate more to male characters egg moment and are attracted to men, hence m/m. projection onto fictional characters is almost always to some degree involved in storytelling. reading m/m helped me as a trans man realize that i was trans, so i'm grateful for that, and the idea that women or closeted trans+ people are simply fetishizing stories that they relate to for whatever reason seems a little transphobic to me.

"internalized misogyny"

why? because they read m/m and not m/f? newsflash to the people out there who say this, but m/f makes a lot of queer people incredibly uncomfortable, and many female m/m writers are queer.

okay, so why not read or write f/f? i don't know, i'm still working on my gender, women's and sexuality studies degree, but i have noticed a trend that m/m stories tend to be darker and kinkier while f/f ones are desexualized and almost "sterilized" to the point where interactions are barely romantic and a kiss is a huge deal but sex would corrupt the story. i think this has a lot to do with the way that society sees queer men and women, the former as evil and hypersexual and the latter as invisible despite having more onscreen representation. sapphics can get away with more rep because they aren't seen as much of a threat as queer men are (queer men destabilize masculinity and the patriarchy; queer women are ignored in their sexuality because straights can't get the idea that women don't need men).

my point of that being that i do think there needs to be more f/f, especially kinkier f/f and darker sapphic stories that aren't just "uwu lets hold hands and kiss in our cottage" not that that's a bad thing but right now it's the only thing. and so queer women don't feel that erotica is welcome in that genre. THIS IS JUST MY THEORY THO TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT

"glorifying abusive relationships"

this is far by the stupidest argument imo. it sounds blatantly homophobic, implying that relationships between queer men are inherently toxic or abusive, see again my previous assertion about the way society sees queer men.

but if people do choose to write about abuse, a lot of the times it comes from their own experiences or otherwise a way to solidify abstract feelings of being used, out of control, oppressed, and other situations. those people shouldn't be demonized. demonizing dark fiction is anti-survivor, anti-feminist, and anti-queer.

not to mention that enemies to lovers and general kinky scenarios are often conflated with abuse. as that classic tumblr post says, is it really ETL if they haven't tried to kill each other at least once? imho people use “ETL” wayyy too liberally these days, like to talk about school rivals or mildly disliking someone. and i wouldn't be surprised if that's what OP was talking about. i'd have to see the og post to know.

so that's my 2 cents. also this could be a whole essay but majority of the time, these arguments especially in conjunction with each other tend to be terf dogwhistles, or baby terfs on their way down the pipeline. and it's especially a problem on tiktok nowadays, i've noticed. i hope this manages to get some of that out of your head, anon<3 and to anyone else who has been thinking about this lately!

She-Ra High School Theatre Kid AU Headcanons

I made this because I am a theatre kid, and me and my sister were talking about Double Trouble being a theatre kid, so this happened. We basically came up with this entire au while we walked our dog.

Also I know none of this stuff would ever happen in real life, but it’s fanfiction, let me have this

Hordak is the head of tech

Castaspella runs costumes

Huntara is the choreographer

Actors:

Catra - Has been in love with theatre since she was a kid, wants to be an actress when she grows up. She’s only ever cast as the villain/antagonist because she’s so good at playing those roles, but she’s not complaining. Shadow Weaver hates her and constantly talks down to her whenever Angella’s not around. Really good singer.

Double Trouble - Also in love with theatre. Brings the drama. Really good at whatever role they receive. Always competes with Sea Hawk for the lead role regardless of gender.

Sea Hawk - Theatre kid is his entire personality and he lives for it. Competes with Double Trouble for the lead role regardless of gender. Loves roles that get to do fight choreography. Has a habit of setting at least one prop, set, or costume on fire every show. No one knows how, and honestly, neither does he.

Glimmer - Director kid vibes, we’ve all met one. You know what I’m talking about. Usually gets a big speaking role, but not the lead. Jealous of Catra bc Glimmer thinks the villains get better songs. Catra agrees and holds it over her head constantly. Has a habit of being an “actor director” sometimes, but never in a mean or condescending way, and most of the time Angella was going to give the same note. Most of the time.

Bow - Actor/Techie. Auditions for a role, but if he doesn’t get one, he’ll do tech. He doesn’t have a preference, he just likes being a part of the process and being with his friends. One of the only basses in the department.

Mermista - Actor/stage manager. Even when she has a role in the current show, Mermista is still the stage manager bc she’s the only one who can deal with and control everyone’s shit(aka Sea Hawk level shenanigans). Actually a really good actor when she puts effort into her roles, but it has to be for a show she actually likes.

Kyle - Usually ensemble, but sometimes he has small speaking roles. Famous for breaking or losing props.

Techies:

Entrapta - Sound/lights. Works with Hordak, they’re close friends. He’s dreading her graduation bc she’s the only who actually understands how to run the systems. She insists she’ll be back tho.

Scorpia - Build crew. Stronk. Nuff said. Started bc she wanted to support Catra, and kept doing it bc she thought the head costumer was cute.

Adora - Also build crew. Again, stronk. Paints occasionally because that was her first choice, but they lack muscle strength in build. Can only get away with painting if Lonnie is there that day. Joined to watch Catra and Catra only. Has only listed to the songs that Catra sings in her role. Has never listened to a full Broadway album. Glimmer is disappointed.

Lonnie - Build crew. Not that interested but comes to support her friends when she doesn’t have lacrosse practice. Never runs a show, but watches every night.

Rogelio - Paint crew. Adora lost an arm wrestling contest to him, and he got first choice. She’s forever salty for it but too nice to argue.

Perfuma - Head of costumes. Castaspella and her get along great, they practically have the same personality. Crushing on Scorpia.

Frosta - Costumes. Cousins with Mermista. Comes bc she heard about the chaos and drama that goes down. Will run shows if she doesn’t have hockey practice.

Swift Wind - Fly.

Now for the plot:

The show for the year: Wicked

Cast

Glinda - Double Trouble

Elphaba - Catra

Fiyero - Sea Hawk

Boq - Kyle

Nessa - Glimmer

Madame Morrible - Mermista

The Wizard - Bow

But then two tragedies occurred

Tragedy 1: Angella had to step down as director bc Micah was in the hospital or something idk

Tragedy 2: 2 days later, Sea Hawk breaks his leg pretty bad and he won’t be better in time for the show

Le gasp

So Shadow Weaver takes over as director

Some Shadow Weaver background info: She was a famous actress many years ago and thinks this high school production stuff is below her. She still has a lot of connections to the professional world that she uses from time to time. She wants Adora to follow in her footsteps as a famous actor despite Adora being an incredibly bad actor. She hates that Adora does crew and not acting, but couldn’t do anything about it. Until now.

Now that she’s director and they’re down a Fiyero, she basically forces Adora to play Fiyero, despite the other capable actors who could’ve done it and Adora’s own protests. Think something like: “why can’t bow do it? I’ll be the wizard if there really aren’t enough actors!” “Oh no, bow is the only one who can hit the wizards notes bla bla bla”

Adora doesn’t want to do it, but she also doesn’t want the department to not be able to do the show. Plus she would get to hang out with Catra a lot which would be cool

I’m guessing you can already tell where the conflict is coming from, but we had some very clear ideas of stuff that happened, like

Adora was behind bc she wasn’t going to play the role originally, she’s never acted before, and she can’t dance. So she has a lot of one on one practices with Huntara, the choreographer. Before getting the role, the only practices Adora would watch if she didn’t have crew were the dance practices. She went purely to watch Catra, but Catra thinks that she has a crush on Huntara.

Tension and miscommunication, y’know?

Bow and Glimmer are both very supportive but also nervous bc they know that Adora is extremely bad at acting

Sea Hawk has never seen Adora try to act before, so he doesn’t see what the issue is. Once he’s well enough to go to school again, he comes to every rehearsal even tho he can’t be in the show. And then he sees. And then he’s like, oh no.

But he tries to be supportive and pump Adora up.

Adora is feeling a lot of pressure bc of her new role and doesn’t want to screw things up for everyone.

Catra is a little pissed off that she’s been paired up with someone who can’t act for her senior show, so she’s a little snippy at first, and Adora is tense, and it’s a mess

But Shadow Weaver doesn’t care, and ends up blaming every problem they have during an acting scene with Adora and Catra on Catra, even though she’s the best actor in the department. Because ✨favoritism✨

And you know, they do the whole hot-cold, she hates me, she’s cute, I love her but she doesn’t like me, bla bla bla throughout the course of the show

A week before opening night, Shadow Weaver makes things worse by mentioning that she invited her friend who’s a talent scout to watch the show. Shadow Weaver wants the scout to help get Adora into the acting business.

Catra wants to use this opportunity to get her name out there, so she needs her performance to be perfect

Which is hard to do when her love interest couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag

It’s two days before the show and they still haven’t practiced the kiss scene. Every time they brought it up before, like “should we practice the kiss? I mean, only if you want we don’t have to”, they both got the impression that the other didn’t want to kiss them

(Useless lesbians)

So it’s 2 days before the show, and Shadow Weaver is like, you gotta practice the kiss

So they kiss, and Catra is like, whoa she’s a really good kisser, so she’s quiet after the kiss

And of course, Adora takes that silence as “she hated the kiss and she hates me” as you do

So their practices the next two days are even worse than they were before

Finally, it’s opening night. The scout is coming and they’re out of time. Shadow Weaver ends up shoving Catra and Adora into a closet. She does her whole “you don’t want to let me, your friends, or the audience down do you? Whatever’s distracting you needs to go” to Adora, and then she turns to Catra and is like “fix what you’ve done, I know you sabotaged her you useless child. You’re going to be the reason this show goes horribly” and then she leaves

AND CATRA AND ADORA ACTUALLY TALK I KNOW IM SHOCKED TOO

Adora’s like, sorry I’ve been so weird the past two days, I just realized I really like you after we kissed, but I know you don’t feel that way about me, sorry if that makes it weird

And Catra’s like, Adora you idiot I love you

And they kiss

And Bow finds them still kissing in the closet 20 minutes before the show opens and rushes them to Castaspella to get their make up fixed

It ends up being Adora’s best performance because every time they’re about to go on for a scene together, Catra tells her to forget about the audience and just focus on her

The scout ended up liking Catra and Double Trouble a lot to Shadow Weaver’s disappointment

Facts that aren’t important to the main plot, but definitely happened

One time, before Sea Hawk broke his leg, Catra was trying out her harness for the defying gravity and other flying scenes, and Swift Wind, who does fly, accidentally dropped her and she landed on Adora

No Good Deed was the best moment in the show, and the amount of emotion Catra was able to put into her performance during that song was a little frightening but also made a lot of people tear up

The second best scene in the show was surprisingly As Long as you’re Mine, because Adora was actually able to forget about the audience and just focus on her love for Catra

The show last year was Mean Girls. Catra was Regina. Glimmer was Gretchen(you can’t argue that she doesn’t give off, “I don’t think my father, the inventor of toaster stroodle, would be very pleased to hear about this” vibes). Mermista was surprisingly amazing as Karen, and played her deadpan perfectly. No one knows how she did it. Sea Hawk was Cady, Double Trouble was Janice, and Bow was Damien. They reference their experiences during this show during Wicked, but the only thing Adora remembers about that production is how hot Catra was during World Burn.

Ironically (or unironically, idk), Glimmer once said “I don’t think my mother, the director of the show, will be very pleased to hear about this” to an actor who was found sabotaging Catra’s mic for the show before Mean Girls. Catra thought Shadow Weaver put her up to it but there was no proof.
