i'm focusing on botw+totk zelda because that's the one i have investment in but she has gone through so much shit, half of which isn't even possible to go through without her light magic. her powers only awakened after her boyfriend died, at which point she immediately killed 25 of the game's scariest enemy type at once. she held an incredibly powerful immortal demon in a magical chokehold for 100 years straight while her boyfriend recovered enough to finish it. then, in the sequel, she accidentally sends herself back some unspecified long-ass amount in time and has no choice but transform into an immortal light dragon with the mind of an animal to get back and repair her boyfriend's sword.
