I gotta be honest with you, I had to look for that thing on Google because I had no idea what were you talking about. WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOME PEOPLE HAVE THAT???????? IS THAT A THING????? Okay, so people just- They just eat cilantro and it tastes like soap for them or???? WhAt- But, anyway, I was talking with a friend about this because it's a really specific ask and we basically said:

Luffy definitely has that but he doesn't even know. He just eats soap one day and says "Oh! This tastes like cilantro!" and the crew looks at him with the most judgemental faces in the whole fucking world. To him, it's: Soap tastes like cilantro gene.

Sanji has that gene but only because it would be extremely hilarious for little Sanji to just- Fucking hate cilantro for no reason and Zeff going insane. (Also, he'd be the only Vinsmoke to have that it would be another proof of him being different from them and a mistake, yadda yadda yadda)

Idk if more straw hats would have it because, gotta be honest anon, it IS very specific and I have no more ideas left. I do think Robin would end up telling them about the gene and Sanji would be like: Damn I called my father very nasty stuff for this shit. And Luffy would just keep eating soap.

actually autism posting bc the way my brain works does indeed impact my writing & an observation I’ve made over the last several years is I can’t write with characters I don’t know well which means rotating through the same few (as you know lol). I remember the evening I created jeremiah—I was in maryland & uncomfortable by the idea of writing a new character even if I was writing him from the pov of someone else… but he kind of needed to be there for plot reasons so I wrote him in & liked him so much he reappeared for a longer stretch in an additional chapter even though that felt uncomfortable too. he even reappeared in feeding habits even though it felt weird and uncomfortable to write him again but this time two years later. and then writing him in body back was even weirder because it’d been an additional two years and I was new not only to him but to literary fiction again. and then writing in his pov was uncomfortable too because that was new until it wasn’t & now I’m just really thrilled I endured some of that discomfort to get to this point!!! bc I do indeed avoid writing that feels unfamiliar (resistance to change squad riseeee) but without trying I would not have jeremiah!!!! my favourite guy!!!!! it’s reassuring to see sometimes sitting in the discomfort for a bit does indeed pay off

This is Revavroom. It's a Steel/Poison type Pokemon, based on a car engine. An old scrap car engine is enspirited and constructs a body resembling that of an automobile. Its highest stat is (physical) Attack, with a modest base of 119. Its natural learnset includes a lot of Poison, Steel and Normal-type moves. Let's take a look at its available TM moves.

Here is a partial selection of Revavroom's TM moves. Cool, makes sense... wait, Rain Dance? How does that fit? That's the only Water-type move it learns, and its only other setup-y moves are Toxic Spikes and Sunny Day. Revavroom doesn't have anything that could make use of rainy weather. Looking at Revavroom's set, it makes me think... something's missing! An incredibly specific and somewhat thinly distributed move that would be right at home in the learnset of a physical attacker AND a car. ...

There's a distinct lack of Revavroom here. In fact, there's a distinct lack of most horse pokemon, as well. My original thought when I realised that Revavroom doesn't learn High Horsepower was "huh, maybe it's just the signature move for Mudsdale and didn't get distributed", but I was wrong. So now I'm wondering... who looked at Revavroom's set and went 'yeah, the car can summon rain but it can't summon its innate horsepower to ram a foe'
