Lasagna! 🧑🍳🧑🍳🧑🍳
For 8 portions
Ingredients:
Bechamel sauce
100 g butter
100 g flour
1 L milk
1 teaspoon salt
Nutmeg to taste
Meat sauce:
Take this recipe 1.5 times and make it just a little more savory:
Pasta:
15-ish of those dried precooked lasagna sheets
Cheese:
200 g grated mozzarella
200 g grated cheddar
How to:
Make meat sauce like recipe says and just have it simmer while you make bechamel sauce
For bechamel you start by melting butter in a pot until it bubbles
Add flour and whisk it to a dough
Add 1/4 milk and whisk until smooth. You want 0 clumps.
Repeat step 4 three more times
Add salt and nutmeg and bring to a boil while whisking
When it starts to thicken you turn the heat off and keep whisking until it has settled
Taste the thing. It will taste horrible, like milk and flour, but see if you can taste salt and nutmeg. If not, you may need to add a bit more.
Assembly:
Grease a big baking dish
Preheat oven to 200 C convection
3-4 big spoonfuls meat sauce on the bottom of the dish. Spread evenly
Pasta sheets
3-4 big spoonfuls meat sauce followed by 3-4 big spoonfuls bechamel sauce and half of the cheese. Spread evenly
Pasta sheets
Rest of meat sauce followed by 3-4 big spoonfuls bechamel sauce. Spread evenly
Pasta sheets
Rest of bechamel sauce and the last cheese. Spread evenly
Into oven and turn heat down to 175 C and bake for 40-45 minutes
When time is up and it looks delicious, take it out of oven and let rest on counter for 10 minutes before trying to cut pieces.

mein teil for the ask game
-@sechsherzen
Thank you 🤍
Mein Teil: favourite and least favourite food.
My favourite food since I was little is homemade lasagna. Plus I'm very fond of Greek salad and roasted tomato soup with cheese sandwiches - I just love comfort food.
My least favourite food is...very specific, bear with me here: my mom really loves any dish with stewed cucumbers in it and cooked it now and then when I was a child. Apart from the fact that warm, mushy cucumbers (???? Who?? thought it was a good idea to cook them??) are a fucking abomination, I got and still get so nauseous when I smell this kind of dish - have to recover from it for hours.

I've been trynna not buy too many new groceries and eat up what I have in the house but now I gotta go to the store for butter and it's gonna be hard not to randomly buy other stuff 😩
and like I don't even know what to make with this random bit of couscous and quinoa that I've been schlepping through move after move, not even sure where I got it from cause I sure didn't buy it myself 😅
