something something ladynoir fic abt like that idea thats been spreading of ladynoir just like fixating on the little bits of info they have abt eachothers identities. maybe adrien goes on his own lil scavenger hunt to maybe piece together his lady’s identity. not that he would abuse it or tell anyone else absolutely not he just wants to send her his cheesy love letters and little things that remind him of her. like its just them piecing together eachother out of the tiny things that theyve revealed and yk marinette absolutely makes like a whole guy with a whole backstory and obsesses over making a perfect picture and adriens just like maybe she can knit me a scarf with a pawprint on it <3 love her

Chapter 4: Ladynoir is Canon
“Oh my god! I can’t believe you!” Ladybug yells, her arms crossed.
Chat laughs, and sweeps her to the side of a beam of light. “Focus on the akuma, m’lady! That one almost got you.”
Ladybug harrumphs, and her yoyo shoots out. “Stop being so distracting then!”
Chat’s grin grows two fold on his face. “Oh? Is my lady distracted by meow ?”
Alya’s phone is trained on the exchange, not missing a moment. Something has definitely shifted between the two of them, no matter how much Marinette denies it.
“Is it just me, Ladybloggers, or is Ladybug acting a little smitten these days?”
Nino, beside her, snorts, but refrains from commenting. She grins at him, careful to keep her phone camera on the superhero duo.
Marinette might kill her for adding fuel to the rumors, but Alya would be teasing her a ton later in person anyway. Marinette probably thought she was being subtle, but the girl didn’t know the meaning of the word. Not when it came to falling in love.
Alya loved that about her.
Flirting banter aside, they work in tandem more smoothly than ever and the akuma is defeated and purified in less than two minutes.
The two heroes turn towards each other for their traditional fist bump. Alya always loves to catch this part - even though it’s always the same. There’s something so powerful about acknowledging each other’s support every time, about never taking it for granted.
Only when their hands meet there’s no fist bump at all.
Ladybug pulls Chat Noir to her and whirls him around into a dip. Then, she’s kissing him senseless.
Alya almost drops her phone.
“Nino!” she hits him in the shoulder. “Am I seeing what I think I’m seeing?”
Nino nods rapidly, his own face lighting up in a smile. “Yup! Definitely babe!”
“Come on!” She can corner Marinette later for details, but that runs the risk of letting Nadia Chamack get the first interview, which, as the founder of the Ladybug, Alya absolutely cannot let happen.
“Ladybug! Chat Noir!” she calls, running up to them with her video still rolling. “That was quite the display! Are the two of you dating?”
Alya half expects Marinette to glare at her, but she doesn’t. Instead, she turns an absolutely besotted love sick smile towards her partner.
“Actually, no. We’re married.”
Alya drops her phone. “What?! Ma– Ladybug! What?!”
She sweeps up her phone off the ground and keeps recording.
Ladybug’s fingers are interlaced with Chat’s as they stare into each other’s eyes waaay too sweetly.
Chat Noir turns to her first. “Actually, today’s our anniversary!”
Ladybug’s face dissolves into total confusion. “What? No, it’s not.”
Chat Noir turns back to her. “Three years, six months,” he tells her, kissing her knuckles of their joined hands, “to the day.”
Alya shakes her head. That doesn’t make sense! They haven’t even known each other for that long. Alya’s been listening to the blow by blow of Marinette’s love life since they became friends.
But Ladybug’s face melts into goo. “That is not a thing.”
He grins, and kisses her nose. “It is now.”
Pink blooms across Marinette’s face. “Gah! How am I ever going to compete with you romantically?!” she demands.
Chat Noir smiles and it’s like the rest of the world doesn’t exist for him. Not the akuma victim, not Alya or Nino, or her phone still recording this exchange.
He brings her hand up to his face, and deposits the gentlest kiss. “M’lady, it’s not a competition, but if it was, you’ve already won. At least in my book.”
Ladybug surges up to her tiptoes and kisses him again. The kiss does not stay chaste.
Nino whistles.
Alya bites her tongue on all the questions she wants to demand of her best friend for the sake of the video.
When they pull apart, gasping, Alya lets herself speak.
“You heard it here first, folks. Looks like Ladynoir is canon!”
Ladybug and Chat Noir both giggle, and wave to the camera.
Alya grins. She has never seen Marinette quite this happy – and she’s seen Marinette positively giddy during a sugar high after Adrien told her he liked her outfit.
She supposes her curiosity can wait.
Marinette is suspiciously hard to get ahold of for the whole next day.
Alya: You had better call me back before tomorrow! I’m going crazy, girl! You can’t just drop that on me in front of all of Paris and expect me not to slip up! I’m about to burst! And the only person I can talk to about this is Nino!  And he can’t keep a secret! Call me back!!
Her phone immediately buzzes in her hand. She answers immediately.
“Just come over,” Marinette invites. “I’m home. We can have a sleepover!”
Less than an hour later Alya has a pillow hugged to her chest across from Marinette on her bed. Marinette tells her about an akuma that hit both Ladybug and Chat Noir with Jubilation an entire six months prior. Six months . Marinette kept this from her for six months!
“Three years?!” Alya echoes. “You dreamed up a life together for three years?”
Marinette nods.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Alya’s not upset. She is confused.
Marinette glances away. “I don’t know. It felt too fragile. Like an alarm clock would go off and I’d wake up and it’d all be a dream.”
“If you had told me it might have started to feel real!”
Marinette smiles. “Yeah, you’re right. But it also felt so unfair because he can’t talk about it with anyone in his life.”
Alya’s chest clenches. That would be so hard.
Marinette’s smile grew threefold. “But I feel so free now that we’re public. Before, we could only see each other once in a while. It was so hard to pretend that he wasn’t part of my life. And I still can’t talk to anyone about it as myself.”
“Besides me,” Alya insists.
Marinette nods. “Besides you.”
Alya scoots forward on the bed eagerly until there’s no space between their knees anymore.
“So tell me everything.”
Marinette giggles. “Well, so apparently, Chat Noir’s family owns an unused apartment in downtown Paris.”
“Unused?!” Alya repeats. How wealthy did he have to be to just have an apartment lying around.
Marinette nods. “Uh huh. Chat proposed that we live there together whenever we could get away. So, one day a week, that’s what we do.”
“Oh my god! Girl!”
Sabine slides the white cardboard box across the counter. “Can I get you anything else?”
The customer smiles. “No, thank you. That will be all.”
The bell doorbell rings, signaling the arrival of more guests.
“Thank you! Come again!” Sabine calls after the customer.
Everyone in the small bakery front turns and gasps. It’s none other than Ladybug and Chat Noir who have arrived. They hang back from the counter, discussing the menu over one another’s shoulders. Sabine can’t help the smile that blooms across her face at how comfortable they look standing side by side even with all the extra attention.
Taking advantage of the distraction caused by the presence of two superheroes in the dining area, she pokes her head around the back. Her husband is folding a rectangle of dough for tomorrow’s batch of croissants.
“Tom, they’re here again.”
He looks up with a huge grin. “Have they ordered yet?”
“Not yet.”
He always makes a point of checking in on the heroes himself. She thinks giving them special attention is his way of thanking them for purifying his akuma not once, but twice.
“And have you seen Marinette?” he asks. She has grown scarce as of late.
She shakes her head. “Not today, but I’m less worried now. She’s been far more energetic and upbeat in the last two weeks or so.”
She steps back into the showroom, behind the counter. “What can I get you?” she asks the next customer.
She carries out the order automatically.
“Ladybug! Chat Noir!” she greets as they step forward. “Always lovely to see you! What can I get you?”
Since the two heroes started coming in regularly just over two weeks ago, Chat Noir has always ordered the same thing: a cheese danish, a salmon quiche, and a single passionfruit macaron that Tom only started adding to the regular menu when he learned it was the hero’s favorite flavor. Ladybug is less predictable, often selecting the special, but the girl seems to have an eye for which items are the freshest and orders those.
“Mme. Cheng! You are looking radiant as always,” Chat Noir greets. Ladybug smiles at him, pink dusting her cheeks.
Sabine’s chest floods with warmth at the sight. She just loves young love. There’s something so pure about it.
Once they order, they settle into two seats by the window. The same seat they always choose if it’s open. Sabine wonders if they choose that seat to advertise for the bakery intentionally.
Tom delivers their orders to them a few minutes later. “Can I get you anything else? On the house.”
Chat Noir only lets Tom and Sabine treat them when Ladybug pressures him into letting them taste test their new pastries in exchange for honest feedback.
Ladybug turns to him, her arms shooting out to the side the same way Marinette’s do when she gets excited. “M. Dupain! Can you convince my idiot boyfriend that marmite frosting on fruit would be absolutely atrocious?! That it needs to be a marshmallow and cream cheese mixture!”
Tom laughs with his whole belly. “You sound like my daughter. I do use a marshmallow-cream cheese mixture on many of my desserts, but I’ll also have you know the finest delicacies often come from unconventional experiments.”
“What?! Traitor!” Ladybug squawks.
Chat Noir bursts into laughter.
“Anything else?”
“Would Marinette happen to be here today?” Chat asks.
Tom shakes his head. “Sorry to disappoint. I think she is out with friends at the moment.”
Chat Noir literally wilts in place. Ladybug glances away before turning back to them again.
“Maybe we’ll get lucky another day, Chaton. We’ll just have to keep trying.”
“We’re going where?” Nino asks his girlfriend. He had to have heard her wrong.
“To dinner, with Ladybug and Chat Noir,” she says again.
“Is this in an interview?”
She laughs. “No, we’re just going over there for dinner as their friends.”
Their friends?! Like sure, they are friends in the sense that they have stood back to back against hordes of akumas on more than one occasion. You can’t depend on each other in violent and life threatening situations and not come out the other side as friends.
But they had never just hung out. They don’t really know each other, like, as people.
Which Nino is completely on board to change! Absolutely! One hundred and ten percent.
And he’s also super super intimidated by them. This isn’t just anyone. This is Ladybug and Chat Noir .
“Wait. Wait. Where is there?”
“Their apartment.”
“They have an apartment?!”
Ladybug and Chat Noir had an apartment. A really nice apartment on the top floor in the expensive part of downtown Paris.
“Rena! Carapace!” It’s absolutely surreal to be called that while Nino’s wearing an ordinary blue graphic tee and his usual red hat. “We’re so glad you could make it!” Chat greets with a beaming smile and open arms like they’re old friends.
Chat Noir’s arms clap around his back.
“H-hey mec! How’s it going?” Nino stammers.
“Great! Great! Come in! Come in!” Chat enthusiastically herds them inside into the apartment.
The place is waaay too fancy with expensive rugs and antique furniture that do not match Ladybug or Chat Noir’s aesthetic in any way as far as Nino can tell. And yet, they both are super comfortable in the space as they give them the tour of the four bedroom flat. Alya’s jaw drops at the spacious kitchen with an entire wall of pantry cupboards, generous marble counter tops and an island with a stainless steel grill on one side.
“Girl! You have to let me use this kitchen. My mom would be so jealous!” Alya exclaimed.
Ladybug laughed. “Let’s do it!”
They have family pictures of the two of them on every wall, just like his nana. Like, they live here.
He frowns. How old are they? He had always assumed they were about the same age as him.
Twenty minutes later, Nino is more confident than ever that he’s fallen into some kind of twilight zone. He’s sitting across a polished mahogany dining room table from Ladybug and a baby doll that is sitting in a high chair. An actual doll with a mop of dark hair and plastic eyes that stare blankly into space. Nino wants to ask, but Alya hasn’t said anything, and he always follows her lead. So he ignores the doll.
Ladybug pours sparkling water into crystal flutes that are so nice that if Nino hawked them he could probably pay for his parents’ rent for two months. She and Alya chatter about potential future dishes they might try making in the ridiculously nice ladynoir kitchen.
Chat Noir brings out a quiche lorraine that he apparently made completely by himself and is quickly cutting it into pieces to serve to each of them on porcelain plates. He even cuts an incredibly thin slice that he places in front of the doll.
“This is delicious, Chat Noir!” Alya says. “Ladybug says you’ve improved a lot in a short time. I never would have known you were a beginning chef from this!”
“Thanks, Rena!”
Alya elbows Nino, and he startles into better posture, glancing between the two heroes who are both looking at him expectantly.
Nino hesitates for only a moment before he takes a bite.
“Do you like it?” Chat asks eagerly.
“It’s great!” He takes another bite to avoid having to elaborate. Not that it isn’t good! It is! But Nino doesn’t know how to talk about food in any kind of classy way. Not like Alya.
But apparently it doesn’t matter because Chat Noir beams like Nino had just told him he won a national cooking championship.
Alya shakes her head in what he knows is fond exasperation.
Conversation flows between the other three like they really are just old friends, and Nino doesn’t know what to do with himself, still worried about using the wrong fork, which is ridiculous because there’s only one, but isn’t that a wealthy person thing? Nino feels like he should know with Adrien as his best friend, but he had been banned from the Agreste mansion so early in their friendship he hasn’t had any practice.
After dinner, Chat Noir continues to share things about the apartment. Little things he’s done to make it a more comfortable space. Talks about what Ladybug has been teaching him in the kitchen with so much excitement and pride.
Ladybug and Alya get along like they’re life long friends. And Chat Noir is being insanely friendly specifically to him, the guy who thought Chat Noir had tried to steal his girlfriend.
Like an idiot.
“Mec, can I ask you a question?”
Chat Noir beams at him. “What’s up?”
“Why are you being so nice? Why are you sharing all this with me? ”
“Well, apparently Ladybug and I cannot learn each other’s identities. That means I can’t bring her into my civilian life. I can’t introduce her to my friends or anyone. And it’s been driving me crazy!”
Nino tries to imagine not being able to talk about Alya with his family or with Adrien. He doesn’t think he would be able to do it.
“That sounds really hard.”
Chat nods. “So I guess I want to share this part of my life with the people that I can.” Chat shoulder bumps him. “And you are my friend, right?”
Chat bites his lower lip, like Nino’s potential answer could wreck him.
Which is wild .
“Yes!” Nino blurts. “As long as you see me that way. I know I wasn’t exactly–”
Chat puts a hand on his shoulder and offers a disarming smile. “It’s fine. Promise.”
Nino smiles back, feeling the last of his nerves fade. “What’s with the creepy doll?” Nino asks without thinking.
Chat bristles like an angry cat. “She’s not creepy!”
Nino throws his hands up in surrender.
Chat relaxes. “Her name is Emma. She… she was our daughter in our dream.”
“D-daughter?!” Nino echoes. “Wait! Dream?! Back up, mec! I’m so lost.” But he suddenly wanted to understand.
Chat smiles softly. “There was an akuma with the power of jubilation. Ladybug and I got hit together. We were trapped in a dream together that showed us the future we both wanted. We lived years together. And then, we had to wake up.”
“Fuck, mec.”
“Yeah.”
The camera shot over Ladybug and Chat Noir sitting side by side on a rooftop, eating ice cream, probably from Andre’s Ice Cream Stand if Gabriel had to guess.
“Ladybug and Chat Noir have announced that they’re going to renew their wedding vows later early this fall,” the voice of Nadia Chamack announces. “They plan to invite all former akuma victims. I for one am delighted to honor their relationship that has always resulted in the teamwork that has kept all of us safe from Monarch.”
Gabriel scowls at the screen as the report continues.
It was especially grating how often the two heroes were about, and how seamless their teamwork had become against his akumas since they had come together romantically.
“They’re not even old enough to be married,” he grumbles.
“You don’t know that,” Daizzi insists from her glass cage.
“They’re on timers!” Gabriel snaps back.
“They can’t get married legally without revealing their names anyway.” Perhaps they would get married as their civilian selves. He should have Nathalie look into all marriages a month before and after the event and see if she could find any suspects.
“They can get married in their hearts!” Daizzi coos with her front paws clasped together and her head cocked to the side. “They deserve that much happiness!”
“Silence!” Gabriel roars. He doesn’t care about Ladybug and Chat Noir’s happiness, but they were foolish to announce their wedding date to all of Paris. He will be able to use the event to corner them once and for all.

Watched the movie and honestly it was fine. No groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece. No disasturous dumpster fire. Just an ok movie that felt like a fanfiction from s1
Here's some more thoughts I have. There's no structure it's a little chaotic. Also spoilers (duh)
The stuff I liked:
The music was good
THE ANIMATION IS GORGEOUS. The lighting in every scene is perfect, the city actually feels populated and the colors overall are so much prettier than in the show
I loved the akuma designs
They do a good job of establishing how Marinette, in the beginning, is very anxious, affected by Chloe's bullying and how she doesn't have friends. That works better than what the show tried to establish, about how Marinette had no friends but still being popular for some reason
Alya being a good friend
The way Adrien deals with the loss of his mother and how playing the piano brings him comfort and makes him feel close to her. Imo the show went overboard with how literally everything Adrien does is dictated by his dad and never something he might genuinely enjoy doing. The fact that he had this hobby made him feel like he was more than just a sad boi
Adrien also seems to struggle with not having many friends outside Nino. Works pretty well with the characterization that he's socially awkward after being homeschooled for most of his life
Generally this Adrien has more PV vibes? I‘m digging it ngl
Marinette's dad is the best
Fu's introduction to Marinette sure was something xD
Gabriel was a good villain character. The show version is just some weird ass goof who is a huge ass to his son and everyone, yet the show wants you to feel for him without giving us a reason to care. This version actually has complexity. He’s still an ass, but now the pain over loosing Emilie feels real. You also have him hesitating to use the butterfly but ultimately spiraling completely into an actually threatening villain.
the fight scenes looked great
Marinette is still clumsy and awkward towards Adrien but without being too cringe about it and doing stupid shit. It‘s just heart eyes and day dreams and some stuttering. She‘s still nervous but I never felt like Adrien brought oit her worst side like in the show. She was simply a girl in love. This was wholesome to watch and so much better than... whatever the fuck the show did with the fucking dating trauma to use for """comedy""" bc the show runners have zero respect for her seriously I'll never get over how fucking stupid that was Marinette honey you deserve so much better
I honestly think this is a better version of the square. Still heavily flawed, but their dynamic feels so much more natural. Ladynoir stuff was sweet
The end where Marinette looses the earrings and then saves Chat without the costume was a good scene
Most of their moments were just quiet moments between just the two without any outside forces and characters constantly pushing them together. This bothers me in the show so much and is another major reason I cant get behind the ship, but for the most part the movie has some gentle pushing here and there but no convoluted and stupid cringy plans. In that regard movie love square is superior
Nino had a thing for Alya from the start pretty much, unlike in the show where he was crushing on Mari five minutes before getting with Alya. I like them in both the show and the movie, but the way they got together in the show was a little meh
Nino getting screentime in general
The stuff I don't know how to feel about:
Careless whisper. It was silly goofy but especially the second time when Paris is on fire and we skip to Adrien's room where he sulks... yeah that tome switch really threw me off
Two different voice actors for singing an talking. The difference was very jarring and while good for Bryce, Cristina has the voice of an angel like cmon I need her to do at least a cover from one song
Gabriel's redemption. Ok so I'm a little torn because the way they did it ties in very well with the the "power of love" theme that his love for Adrien makes him realize his mistakes bla bla, but he still terrorized a city and yet faces zero consequences, and Adrien forgives him, which are all thing that really rub me the wrong way. Idk the franchise is so obsessed with painting this man in a sympathetic light and in order for this to feel truly satisfying Gabriel shouldn't have tried to destroy Paris like 5 minutes earlier. I see what they went for and thematically it worked but I just need Gabriel to be put in prison
Speaking of Gabriel, the Adrien Gabe relationship isn't as abusive as in the show. This isn't good or bad, but I still think (very unpopular opinion) the show doesn't handle abuse well at all bc the only point of the abuse is pity points in oder to get the fans to care about the characters. So taking that out of the movie where you have limited time to wrap this whole thing up might've been a smart decision
With the ending they sort of hinted at a sequel
The cut off kiss at the end. They still act like a love square kiss is something sacred that they can‘t just give their fans. Commit to it already
The stuff I didn't like:
The dialogue was… something. Marinette just asking her mom over breakfast how to make her dreams come true. Babe just just woke up, that deep convos are for late nights
Generally the dialogue in both the movie and the show is a little weird
Lika Alya‘s „people try really hard to fail as hard as you“ Marinette spilled some coffee it‘s not that hard
Even though I liked the portrayel of Marinette‘s anxiety, at times the went overboard with it
Going back to the Gabriel redemption, just let Adrien have negative feeling about Gabriel already. The s5 finale have him idolize him and here he just instantly forgives and forget
So the butterfly is a villainous tool by default? They could've fixed their messy lore but noooo
The scene where Marinette gets her miraculous feels rushed.
The way Adrien receives his miraculous. He was chilling in his room and suddenly a black cat shows up. He doesn't even have to proove himself like Mari when she almost got hit by a truck. The moment in the show was already weak but this is just fucking stupid
the first akuma was just some random dude. They should've used someone the main duo has a connection to
Chat being a lil bitch about Ladybug rejecting him. Hated it in the show, hate it here. They could've used the movie to fix Adrien and they didn't. Other than that being a dick move as so many people have explained millions of times now, I find this such a boring source of conflict for the climax of the movie? They worked well before and they both know they care for each other as partners and even if being rejected hurts, Chat acts like LB just threw their friendship away or something with how strongly he reacts to it. In the show it felt blown out of proportion and it does here as well. I think they should've had a different kind of conflict which actively hurt their partnership or Chat stops treating LB unfairly just because to her he‘s not a romantic partner.
The fart jokes. Though tbf this is a kids movie
The way Marinette falls for Adrien was extremely underwhelming. Adrien smiles at her and helps her get up and then just walks out of the library all like „she‘s so weird“. Could‘ve been fixed if he and Mari stayed in the library and had a little conversation
Also Adrien‘s introduction in general? He just chills in the library and… yeah that‘s it. I blame this on the writers of the movie cutting character introductions short because they assume the audience already knows the characters and therefore doesn‘t have to introduce them. I don‘t think that was a good choice
The Adrienette stuff was just a montage. Would've been nice to actually see them connect (though that was probably a time issue)
Also they didn't give any spotlight to Marinette's good qualities like selflessness and intelligence. Would've been nice to see her be more willing to be there for people and help them out with things as a result of her gaining more confidence
Seriously the montage was a big mistake and takes away a lot from what could've made the movie stand out
The reveal felt a lot like Adrien only loving Marinette because she's LB, which was a big reason for me to not ship Adrienette prior to the flip (not that I did after). Something like this would‘ve been believable in a setting where they didn‘t know each other as civilians I guess, but that doesn‘t work for the square. Had they actually shown Adrienette develop outside of a montage this would'be been way more believable and touching.
I think a reverse love square from the beginning would've worked better here, or they should've made the Ladynoir side canon
Adrien tells Marinette about his dead mom. Chat noir tells Ladybug about his dead mom. How does she not make the connection?
The "power of love" theme fell flat with Marinette. she doesn't have her moment of "oh I have to protect the people I love" like Tikki's dialogue suggests. There were multiple people at the theme park she could've spotted being in danger and that should've made her want to save them. Tom being there was literally the perfect set-up. The show does this with Alya being trapped under a car or something and Marinette seeing her
I also think the jump from anxious Mari to brave Mari didn't work. In both the show and the movie it just feels like she just decides to be confident now without really getting there through hard work. The motivation was there in the show (see previous point) but in both instances it just happened too fast. Let Marinette have time to really adjust to her new role
This would've worked if the movie didn't try to keep the show's formula of "villain of the week". Why are we getting a montage about that when there's already a whole ass show with five seasons where we already see that? This montage took up time that could've been used more effectively. The movie should've tried to be more of it's own thing, really shoud've tried to flesh out the characters more in a way the show doesn't. They didn't need LB and CN immediately competent and loved by the public after the theme park fiasco. Just use the run time of the movie to get adjusted to fighting crime on a weekly basis, have them fail to then fix their mistakes and learn from them. Why not do a training montage with the point of becoming better instead of flirting? The movie tries too hard to keep up the show formula and it takes away the quality the story could've had
Also in Marinette's case it felt like the only "power of love" that mattered was her partnership with Chat. Her family and friends weren't completely unimportant but definetely underutilized in that regard. Romantic love is not the only important love you know
Their powers of cataclysm and miraculous ladybug only came in at the very end. The built up could've worked if they spent more time showing how they become good and experienced heroes over time
Generally the climax was underwhelming. Gabriel learns Chat‘s identity and the damage is made undone like 10 seconds later
Adrien being like "yeah I didn't really get close to people after my mom died" what's with the Nino erasure smh
Luka wasn't important
Kagami wasn't even there
I think the end scene hinted at the sentimonster stuff and I wished they would've just not include that
Final thoughts
There are things the movie did better than the show and some things it didn't. They don't waste much time on establishing who the characters are because they expect viewers to already know that from watching the show. But like the show, they fail to use the concepts they've set up in an effective way. The movie not only tries to stay true to the show but is almost dependent on the audience knowing the series.
But yeah, the movie atmosphere was nice. Nothing extraordinary but also not super bad. It had s1 vibes and despite the problems I listed, I had a good time for the most part. Not a must watch but still fine

Hey, moot :)
Are you part of the miraculous fandom too?? I just saw that you reblogged an mlb comic.
If so, what is your favorite ship in the love triangle (love square? Idk) This question is probably enough to cause a world war, but the people need to know.
Mine's marichat fr fr
Idk why, just hits different y'know?
Heya! Hehe, yeah. I have Miraculous to thank for me starting to write fanfic XD Whoops
Yess, you get it! Marichat all the way! There’s just something about all those midnight Akumas that lead to them meeting up in a version of Paris shrouded in night and mystery, and pretty little streetlights lights, that just hits different (Glaciator episodes + elation my beloved, also the Evilustrator episode that kept the fandom fed for a long while, and Weredad was not at night but it belongs here). All versions of the love square are very silly in their interactions, but these two have that silly best friends energy when they really really shouldn’t have because these two have technically only met up a handful of times, and the concept of them both being unaware of how this shouldn’t be the case (because this Marinette’s partner, her best friend. This is Adrien’s very good friend from school) is just very entertaining. Love the dynamic. Also the way these two steadily falling for each other completes all sides of the love square… perfect. The elation kiss was everything.
Don’t get me wrong, gotta love all sides to truly appreciate the square, it’s literally all facets of them. Ladynoir have all the loveable banter, Adrinette/Adrienette have the very sweet/fluffy moments, and Ladrien has these two both as red as strawberries. But Marichat. I rest my case.

Fanfic Writers: Director’s Cut Ask Game
So nighttime has always been somewhat romantic for the love square - LadyNoir and MariChat in particular. in Citrus and Lavender, lot of scenes between those sides of the love square take place at night. But what's one of the most romantic things about the night? Starlight!
Unfortunately, Paris is a major city (literally the City of Lights) and undoubtedly has a lot of light pollution. Which isn't always the most inspiring thing to look at.
Since Chat is on Hawk Moth's side in this fic, he knows all that best hiding spots in the dark that he can escape to, places that are out of people's sight. One of those happens to be somewhere that he believes will help Marinette out of her art block.
Now that her sense had returned, Marinette realised that she could see him. She wasn’t surrounded by a pitch black void anymore. She carefully tilted her head up, causing Chat to retract his hands immediately as though he’d touched something absolutely forbidden. Her eyes widened at what she saw.
Stars .
Endless, glittering stars were scattered everywhere above her like someone had spilled luminescent pearls over dark satin in varying shades of deep blue. It made her heart pound at just the sheer amount of them, eternal and infinite in the patterns they weaved together. Her gaze slowly travelled down, seeing that she was in a large, circular room filled with seats just like the one she was on. An auditorium.
Citrus and Lavender, Ch. 12
I wanted Chat to make a gesture that would speak to Marinette directly, since their non-existant relationship is very strained at this point. He adores her and wants to help her, but she's of course reluctant. But with a leap of faith, she lets him take her to the planetarium. And its here that she finally starts to truly see Chat Noir.
Without the lights of the city blurring out the sky, Marinette is able to see the night sky as it actually is. And without the threat of an akuma fight happening or the image that the media have built up, Marinette starts to see that there's more the Chat Noir than meets the eyes. There isn't complete darkness in him, there's a sensitive kindness lighting up in him too. And the more time she takes with him, the more beautiful and apparent that light is going to become.
She will spend forever denying any romantic feelings though.

AN: A short, fluffy one shot written for Ladynoir July 2022, Day 10: City Lights, Day 14: Hold My Hand, Day 21: Chocolate Kisses, Day 22: Blankets. @ladynoirjuly
When Ladybug arrived at the rooftop they’d agreed on for their date, she smiled. Chat Noir was already there, sitting with his back to the chimney and staring out at the city lights. His cat ears twitched and he turned to her with a smile as she walked toward him. She couldn’t help the grin that plastered itself on her face as she looked at him.
“Hey, Bugaboo,” he murmured as she sat beside him, cuddling into his side. One of his arms wrapped around her swiftly while the other moved to share the blanket he’d brought.
Ladybug looked up at him, “Hey, kitty.”
Her heartbeat picked up speed as he leaned in, placing a soft kiss to her lips. They’d only been dating for a couple months and every time his lips touched hers she’d blush. How could she not when he kissed her so tenderly? It was like he poured out all his love into each of their kisses, and it made her heart melt. She was so lucky.
“I brought us a little something,” he said when he pulled away. Chat Noir grinned, clearly excited to show her his surprise. Ladybug felt herself fall for him a little more.
“Oh?” She asked. “What’d you bring us?”
He pulled out a small box of chocolates. “Ta-da!” Gosh, he looked so cute when he grinned at her like that.
The box was ladybug themed, with a black ribbon tied around it in a neat bow. In the middle of the bow was an embroidered little green cat paw. It was clearly made as a little tribute to them. It was always nice to see different shops make things inspired by them.
Ladybug pressed a kiss to Chat Noir’s cheek. “Thanks, kitty. I’m sure the chocolate will taste delicious.” She watched as a pretty flush peaked out from beneath Chat’s mask. She was glad that the city lights allowed her to see him so well in the night.
Chat Noir gingerly pulled at the ribbon and carefully opened the box. He held it out to her. “Ladies first,” he drawled.
Ladybug looked through the small assortment of chocolates, unsure of which one to pick. Her gloved fingers hovered over the box of chocolates as she debated over which one looked the best. She always wished the chocolates would somehow be labeled so she knew which one would be something she liked and which wouldn’t.
Finally, she picked the one that looked like it was meant to be dark chocolate. She plopped it into her mouth, hoping it would be a good chocolate. The tart but sweet flavor of raspberries filled her mouth, mixing with the richness of the dark chocolate, and she hummed, satisfied with her pick. She’d made a good choice.
Chat Noir hummed from beside her, nodding. Clearly, he’d also made a good choice. “What was yours?” She asked when she was done.
“Milk chocolate and caramel. How about yours?” His sounded a lot sweeter than hers. Maybe too sweet for her taste.
“Dark chocolate and raspberry.”
He nodded slowly, eyes trained on hers. Chat Noir was planning something. But what? Finally, he leaned closer to her, his breath fanning across her face, and murmured, “Can I get a taste?”
Ladybug’s brain short circuited. The combination of his half lidded eyes and question left her unable to speak. It also did not help that the city lights reflected across his hair making it shimmer like gold. So, Ladybug just nodded and tilted her chin up to meet his lips.
And oh. The sweetness of the caramel somehow tasted better on his lips than it would’ve on its own. Soft lips glided along hers and Ladybug felt dizzy. She felt his hand cradle her cheek and she leaned into it as Chat Noir tilted his head to deepen the kiss. Her mind was swimming and her heartbeat thundered in her ears. Under the hand on his chest, she could feel his racing heartbeat.
Too soon, they pulled apart for air, foreheads leaning against each other. Her eyes fluttered open after a moment, and Ladybug found Chat Noir gazing at her with unbridled affection. She was sure she melted into a puddle of goo right then and there. His free hand laced his fingers through hers and she felt her blush deepen.
She cleared her throat, glancing away from his intense gaze. “So, um. You like did— I mean, did you like it? The chocolate,” she stuttered.
He chuckled softly, warmly, and she felt affection for him expand in her chest. “Yeah, it was really good, but,” the hand on her cheek moved to lift her chin to meet his eyes, “I think it was better coming from your lips.”
Oh my gosh, was he doing this on purpose? Did he want her to just stop functioning all together? She buried her face in his chest, “Chaaaat, you can’t just say things like that.”
Fingers still laced together, he squeezed her hand lightly, “Why not? I’m just stating the facts.”
She glared up at his cheeky expression. Then she kissed him again, quickly. She pulled back before he had the chance to get over the initial shock and kiss her back. Ladybug giggled at his surprise, his eyes wide and his mouth in a perfectly kissable little ‘o’.
“Well, if we’re stating facts,” she said, gaining back her usual Ladybug confidence, “I guess I should tell you that you look adorable like that.” She lightly flicked his bell as he blushed.
“Now you’re the one who’s being unfair,” Chat Noir grumbled.
Ladybug laughed, “I thought we were sharing facts, kitty.”
His expression softened, “If we still are, then I should tell you I love you.”
Her heart melted and she was sure a dopey, lovestruck smile spread across her face. “I love you, too,” she murmured.

My problem with Adrienette
Okay I just wanna make one thing clear, I ship love square. I prefer ladynoir over Adrienette but I don't hate that dynamic. But that dynamic has always irritated me. I want to explain why. I'm not saying why one side of the love square is better than other, I'm explaining why I personally prefer one side over the other.
Years ago I decided to watch Miraculous, I watched first few minutes of the first episode and stopped watching there. The show made a terrible first impression on me and the reason was Adrienette. Months later I gave it another go, watched till the end of the episode and decided to continue watching. This time the reason was ladynoir.
There are some dynamics I like to call shipping at first sight. The characters may not have fallen in love at first sight but you as the audiance are told to ship them as soon as you see then together.
The first thing we learn about Adrian is that he is a famous person who has photoshoots and the second thing we find out is that Marinette has a crush on him. And then all of the Adrienette moments in that episode tell us just how much Marinette likes Adrian and nothing much. Alya informs the audiance that Adrian is their classmate which makes Marinette's crush on him feel less superficial so there's that. There is no substance to it. I know nothing about these characters, I know nothing about Adrian, nothing important. Why should I ship them? Because she likes him? I'm sure that's reason enough for a lot of people. That's fine but it's not my cup of tea.
But then we move on to Ladynoir side. We see Marinette as Ladybug doing her best to save her friend. We see that Adrian doesn't like modelling and we see him as Chat confronting stormy weather. I still don't know these characters but at least I have a good idea of their personalities. Then we see them interact. It's casual and friendly. It shows you the nature of their relationship. It tells you they know each other, they have worked together before, they get along, that he likes her but she doesn't like him back. More than that it tell you that her feelings for Adrian are reciprocated in some way. Then we see them work together, we see them look out for each other and communicate without saying much. We are shown that there is more to their relationship than Chat having a crush on Ladybug.
Neither side makes any real progress during season 1 but we are shown how they first met at the end of it. I can't properly explain just how much I hate the umbrella scene™. Marinette crush on Adrian felt very shallow to me and I know I'm not the only one. The writers seem to be aware of this as well. So they decided to have Marinette not know who Adrian was when they first met. Even though she's an aspiring fashion designer and even though Adrian is the son of Gabriel Agrest one of Paris' biggest fashion designer and a model Marinette didn't know who he was. Then they have a misunderstanding and Marinette thinks he's a bully like chloe. Then Adrian clears up that misunderstanding in the umbrella scene™ and Marinette doesn't just fall in love with him but becomes obsessed with him.
I've watched that scene many times. It's beautifully animated. The camera angles, the music, the expressions on Marinette's face, the lighting and of course the thunderclap all scream it's a romantic scene. If taken out of context it's a beautiful scene. The problem is it's unconvincing. Adrian and Marinette have barely interacted by that point. I am not convinced that Marinette is in love with Adrien, even though everything in that scene and all the other episodes by that point has made it clear that she most definitely is.
Adrienette feels like cute (and cringey) moments piled on top of each other rather than a relationship. For first few seasons they barely communicated and most of their interactions were meaningless. The most significant one I could think of is Marinette deciding to not tell Adrian that she was the one who made the scarf. I liked that scene. It's a really nice scene that shows that Adrian's hapiness is important to her, more so than being with him. It's a meaningful scene and I wished we had more meaningful scenes like that one.
The whole "Adrien thinks Marinette is funny" thing doesn't sit right with me. Adrien wasn't laughing with Marinette he was laughing at Marinette. He wasn't laughing at something amusing she was trying to do, he was laughing at her attempt to explain something to her friends that she was struggling with. I don't find that sweet and I don't like it when fans and the show act like it was a sweet moment.
Adrienette feels hollow. It feels like they are missing something vital. They are missing a genuine connection. I don't think Adrienette has more romantic moments than ladynoir, rather they have more romantically coded moment than ladynoir. Ladynoir has a few romantically coded moment along with a of genuinely good relationship. Adrienette has a lot of bubbles with very little substance until much, much later in the series.
It's like Adrienette is the icing on a cake called ladynoir. I like them both. I like icing. I can eat it on its own but it's not fulfilling. The cake is definitely better with icing but it's still good and fulfilling on it's own.
I don't like the show's decision to have pre reveal Adrienette be together while making ladynoir dynamic completely platonic. It makes the love square feel empty. I'm not going to watch anymore episodes in this season until all of the episodes are out because just Adrienette feels hollow and it makes the show feel lifeless to me.

Contrary to popular belief, Ladybug and Chat Noir weren’t in love. That didn’t stop them from having fun with it.
Notes:
Random oneshot, I know, but my brain is so freaking dry and this scenario hasn’t left me alone for a few days now. S1 LadyNoir has my heart in a vice grip, and I miss it desperately. For those who still have requests to fill, please be patient - I’m working as hard as I can.
It was a quiet night in Paris, a nice change for once.
One of the finest restaurants in the city saw another packed night, its patrons chatting pleasantly over delicious food, the skyline draped in evening noir the perfect backdrop.
Unbeknownst to most, two young adults crammed themselves into one of the booths, a bottle of expensive wine and decadent food split between them as they talked and laughed quietly amongst themselves. Their usual bright costumes were more subdued tonight, thanks to their kwamis’ power, and both donned crisp evening wear for the occasion.
A cat hero, with a comfy-looking turtleneck and black slacks, and a lady in a sleek crimson pantsuit with heels, both in matching domino masks - hardly an odd sight nowadays, since the exploits of Ladybug and Chat Noir led to the masks being a favored accessory by the youth of the city.
A sudden sharp gasp of delight cut through the murmur of the room, and one by one the tables fell silent as Chat Noir all but squealed in excitement. “Yes, of course I will! Oh, milady, you shouldn’t have!”
Just as quickly as silence fell upon the dining room did an even louder murmur ripple through it, excited patrons whispering and pointing, some pointing their cameras at the pair.
Ladybug knelt before her partner with a velvety black box, a shining ring with a sizeable diamond sitting proudly on its crown.
“He said yes!” Ladybug exclaimed, and the dining room erupted into applause and cheering for the heroes.
One of the waiters hurried over, obviously starstruck as he stumbled over his words to the duo. “Oh, oh my, congratulations to you both. May I get you anything off the dessert menu? On the house for the heroes of Paris, of course!”
Chat Noir and Ladybug exchanged a look of amusement, almost as if recalling a particularly humorous inside joke.
“The cherry cheesecake,” Ladybug stated, voice belying her mirth.
“I still can’t believe they buy it,” Chat Noir wheezed as they stumbled to their usual meeting spot, laughter bouncing off the roofs.
“I still can’t believe you kept that fake ring!” Ladybug jabbed with another bark of laughter, shaking the box. “That was, what, our last year of collége?”
“The Disneyland Paris trip,” he nodded, clutching his stomach. “Stop, stop, I have to stop laughing or I’m gonna throw up!”
The heroes sat side-by-side against a chimney as their laughter petered out to a chuckle.
Ladybug wiped her eyes, careful of her eyeliner, and Chat heaved a long, satisfied sigh.
The breeze was cool despite the summer heat, the moon shining brightly above despite the clouds floating lazily by.
It took all of a few seconds before one of them started giggling again.
“Ladybug,” Chat wanted to sound accusatory, but he couldn’t help it when he started laughing as he watched his partner double over with the force of it.
“The- the tabloids!” She cried, raucous cackling bubbling up despite her best efforts. “Alya is going to kill me when she finds out!”
“What, that Ladybug and Chat Noir got engaged for the twenty-third time?” He crowed, his shoes clacking against the rooftop as he began stomping his feet, vision going blurry from his laughing.
Somewhere else in the neighborhood, a light flicked on in one of the windows and someone shouted something - and it was enough to surprise them into silence for a moment before their giggling resumed, more muted this time.
“More like Ladybug and Chat Noir are a couple of menaces who disrupt the poor citizens of Paris of their sleep,” she snorted, resting her head against Chat’s.
“We’re the worst,” he agreed, another huff of a laugh escaping him as they finally began to calm down, staring up at the sky.

do u have any really good fic recs for mlb enemies to lovers
Do I ever! Some of these have already been recced in my AU rec list, but since this isn't part of my "undiscovered gems" series, I'm going to let myself rec all of the popular enemies to lovers fic I've been enjoying too 😊
A Series of Meets: Reach by @damagectrlwrites
Paris is safe, except from the rivalry of its two superhero guardians: Ladybug and Chat Noir.  Since they were teenagers, the two have raced around Paris, trying to out do-good each other.
After Chat Noir saves a bus of people from falling into the Seine before Ladybug can even get there, Adrien is in high spirits.  He helps a young woman reach some chips high on a shelf, kicking off a friendly conversation that ends with a coffee date.
It’s a terrible day for Marinette.  First she had a hectic day at work, then Chat Noir gets all the praise for saving a bus of people, and then she nearly topples over trying to reach some chips.  At the very least, a nice guy helps her and asks her to coffee. Surely, things will get better, right?
Ladynoir Enemies AU. Never met AU. This one is absolutely amazing and hilarious and YOU NEED TO READ IT!! Ladybug and Chat Noir are superhero rivals, always trying to outdo each other, and being annoyed at the other. Marinette and Adrien get a meet-cute and fall in love. The juxtaposition is perfect and ridiculous and THAT IDENTITY REVEAL OMG.
Dearly despised, (I love you) by @snacc-noir
Marinette could go on about why she hated Adrien Agreste—to his pranking tendencies to ineffable attractiveness—ever since he had the audacity that day with the umbrella.
And yet, here she was fake-dating him while in love with a superhero.
Adrienette Enemies AU. Warning: This is a WIP! But it's so much fun. Basically Adrien and Marinette never sorted out the misunderstanding with the gum and instead just dug themselves deeper and deeper in hate with their miscommunications. Meanwhile ladynoir are totally in love with each other. Add in a whole bunch of sexual tension and seeing just where the author teases out these missed chances and it's beautiful.
Curiosity and Satisfaction by @imthepunchlord
When Adrien agreed to this line of work, he thought all his focus would be on the job of catching the elusive Lady Luck. It never crossed his mind that someone else would catch his attention.
Ladynoir Enemies AU. Although this is a ladynoir enemies AU, this dynamic change bleeds into all of the different sides of the love square and it's so different and interesting! I loved how the changes made actually affected other aspects. The story feels very real and believable.
like poles of a magnet by @rosekasa
ladybug spat her blood at chat noir. invincibility was only granted to the ladybug and black cat that worked together. not even the miraculous cure could heal them, otherwise.
(or, five times they didn’t hate each other, and one time it was love).
Ladynoir Enemies AU.  The enemies dynamic here is AMAZING!! Adrien is so in character even when he’s a “bad guy”, and the backstory of how he ended up working with Hawkmoth is perfect. (Also, how is Gabriel even worse??) I love the way the identities are played with, and especially the repercussions of Chat working for Hawkmoth on what Adrien is allowed to do.
Unstuck by @ominousunflower
Chat Noir, notorious supervillain of Paris, experiences a wardrobe malfunction in the best and worst possible place: Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s balcony.
Heart pounding, Chat pins Marinette’s wrists to the balcony. She stares up at him, her blue eyes kaleidoscopic from the lights hanging overhead, her features twisted into a scowl.
“Why are you trying to take my Miraculous?” Chat hisses.
“Because—you—I—” Marinette splutters, her eyes dipping down below Chat’s face. “Why is your suit unzipped?”
“I—well…” Chat sighs. “My zipper got stuck.”
Ladynoir Enemies AU featuring Marichat. I'm an absolute sucker for villain!Chat who just needs someone who's willing to care for and believe in him. And, even as a villain, he's still so recognizably Adrien here. My hearttttt!
out of the woods. by @anxiouscupcake
“I- I have a… Someone I care about very much,” Adrien admitted. “I’m only doing this because my father gave me no choice.” “Well,” she said, lips pursed. “I don’t have it in me to fight The Gabriel Agreste, right now. My hands are tied too.” “I’m sorry.”
To his credit, he genuinely sounded a little remorseful. She even resented him a little for it, because she had so much more to lose than he did, but he just wanted to stay in Daddy’s good books.
She grimaced. Marriage, for one year, they agreed. And a painful few months of “courtship” to convince the press of the authenticity of their “marriage”.
In eighteen months, her father would be hale and hearty, and she’d divorce Adrien Agreste and be nothing more than his business partner.
(...In which Gabriel is an asshole, Adrien is trying and Marinette's stubborn but gives in eventually.)
This is a 2-part series that isn’t finished and that I desperately hope is continued. It’s not EXACTLY enemies AU per se, but it hits the same sweet spot. Ladynoir are in love, but can’t be together. Adrienette are forced to marry because of circumstances and Marinette resents Adrien for it. It’s got Enemies to Friends to Lovers vibes, even if we haven’t gotten that last part yet, and I love it!
i have found someone (like a nomad finds a home) by @hanaasbananas
After Stoneheart, Gabriel figured out who Chat Noir was, and forced him to work for him, rather than with Ladybug. Years later, Adrien is miserable until one night, he meets Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Ladynoir Enemies AU featuring Marichat. Sort of a Never Met AU in that Adrien doesn't start attending school until after he's been a villain for some time and after he's gotten to know (and fallen for) Marinette as Chat. I love it when Chat's a villain and his love for Marinette/Ladybug helps him make better choices!
This Red Love by @hanaasbananas
In another world, he loves her. Would lay down his life for her without a second thought. Would be devoted only to her. In another world, they are partners, fighting side by side to keep Paris safe from Hawkmoth. Ladybug and Chat Noir, heroes of Paris. In this world, Ladybug is his enemy; the only thing standing in the way of what he most desires. In this world, he is not a hero.
Or the one where Adrien and Marinette are dating, but Chat Noir works for Hawkmoth. Angst ensues.
Ladynoir Enemies AU featuring Adrienette. This one has so much tension and the identity reveal and the ladynoir conflict really impacts the adrienette relationship and it's fantastic!

Hi! I'm a big fan of your works, I love your writing style! for the writing prompt thing, could you do “You have no idea who I am, do you?” for Ladynoir?(if you want) Thanks for being amazing!
thank you so much!!! here, have some soft superheroes <3
Chat Noir hadn’t meant to reveal his identity.
It had been an accident. A slip up. A mistake he’d done his best to rectify but it was too late.
Ladybug knew who he was.
With her wide blue eyes and mouth slightly parted, Chat Noir immediately assumed her shock was due to having seen him on the billboards scattered throughout the city.
But a few days later up on the Eiffel Tower, once she’d had time for the knowledge to sink in, she looked at him with her piercing blue eyes and revealed her surprise was due to something quite different.
‘We know each other,’ she said. ‘Quite well actually.’
Chat froze, legs mid-swing. ‘We do?’ he asked, rifling through the faces of everyone he’d ever come across.
She nodded. Then she tilted her head towards him.
‘You can guess, if you’d like.’
Chat sucked in his breath and gazed at her eyes shining bright in the night.
‘Really?’
She nodded slowly at first, then more confidently. ‘I’m ready.’
Chat grinned, and she gave him a smile so soft it made his heart melt.
‘Okay, okay,’ he tapped his chin. ‘Well, I know you’re definitely not Chloé.’
Ladybug snorted. ‘Definitely not.’
‘Or Lila.’
Ladybug pulled a disgusted expression which made Chat chuckle.
‘But maybe…’ He rattled off a few names, some from school and some from those he knew through modelling, glancing at Ladybug with each one. Her smug smirk gave nothing away but still, none of them felt right.
Until one.
A face appeared in his mind and her name rose to the tip of his tongue, but panic flashed through him. He slammed his jaw closed.
Because no, she couldn’t be his lady.
Chat whipped his head to Ladybug and stared at her, wide-eyed, tracing the outline of her nose and eyeing the freckles on her cheeks, and when she cocked her head to the side and gave him a soft smile, a pang shot through his heart. He scrambled to his feet.
‘Chat?’ Ladybug asked, surprised.
Chat simply stared.
Despondency crept into Ladybug’s posture and expression.
‘You don’t know who I am, do you?’ she said.
Chat didn’t move. He slowly shook his head in disagreement of her question. Ladybug’s eyes lit up. Yet he didn’t reply to her straight away.
Ever since Chat had met Ladybug he’d said he’d love whoever was under that mask.
But that was a lie.
If the person under the mask wasn’t who he thought it was – if it wasn’t the girl who gave him sweet smiles, and brought him fresh croissants, and never failed to lift his spirits whenever he was down – he now knew he wouldn’t love her.
‘I think I do…’ Chat began. He wet his dry mouth. ‘But I’m terrified I’m wrong.’
Ladybug blinked. A smile blossomed on her face, she turned her face to hide it, but Chat could see the pink dusting on her cheeks.
She nimbly stood up and stepped towards Chat, standing so close he could count her every eyelash.
‘Who do you think I am?’ she asked with her soft warm smile and eyes shining with city lights.
‘But what if you’re not her?’ His voice was quiet and hoarse.
She wrapped her hands around his face. ‘But what if I am?’ She pulled him in and pressed his forehead against hers. He closed his eyes and breathed in her closeness, smelling of fresh air on a summer’s day.
‘Say my name,’ she murmured.
Chat bit his lip. He swallowed the lump in his throat.
‘Marinette,’ he whispered. He felt her smile against him. ‘Marinette Dupain-Cheng.’
Ladybug giggled. Chat’s heart flushed with warmth. And then she was kissing him full on the mouth, and he melted at her touch, holding her face and kissing her back with all the love he could give.
Because she was his best friend. The one he loved. The girl he’d literally taken bullets for and would do again.
And he tried to hold them back but the silent tears slipped down his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around her and buried his head in her shoulder.
Because she loved him too.
And together with her, he was home.

late to the analysis party but idc
hey listen I just wanted to point something out: Kagami was not the first one to call Adrien a clown.
EXHIBIT A:
Tumblr media
In Reflektdoll, Adrien doesn't know that Ladybug likes his jokes yet, and he still jokes around. Granted, that has a lot more to do with the persona he puts on as Chat Noir and the beautiful unspoken fact that is the Ladynoir Trust Bond™️ but I think it also sheds a light on the role of Adrigami in Adrien's understanding of himself.
In some of the discussions I read in the fandom's analysis, they argued Kagami being unable to accept that Adrien's clownery is a fundamental part of him was one of the most compelling reasons why they needed to break up, because her shutting him down immediately would ultimately inhibit Adrien's natural character just in the same way other people in his life suppress and trigger other parts of his personality. This challenge would be exacerbated because his 'being a clown' (a.k.a. being Chat Noir) is the combination of traits or 'mask', if you will, that he prefers. It's his self-perceived starting point to further develop his personality as he grows older.
While I don't think that it was Kagami's intention to shut down Adrien (because at the end of the day she was trying to help him come out of his shell), I think it was an interesting parallel to the way Marinette, both as herself and as Ladybug, react to Adrien's different trait combinations. Kagami reacts by immediately voicing her own expectations of Adrien when he lets his guard down and "clowns" around her. Marinette, on the other hand, while I'm sure she would be surprised to see him act like that, gives us no reason to believe she would question it. There have been plenty of times where he has "fooled around" and/or let his guard down with her being present ("Oh no, what a knightmare", "Chinese translator at your service *bows down like Chat*", "are you lying? *smug smile*" the umbrella scene, for all that's holy) and her only reaction is to assimilate it because she is aware she does not know Adrien as well as she would like. In fact, I have more reason to believe she shows to be more surprised when she learns something new about Chat than Adrien, because her perception is that she knows Chat very well. Which brings me to my next point:
Ladybug, while she acts like she is annoyed by Chat's jokes, we come to learn that's actually what she likes best about him. Acting annoyed is more her own attempt at performing her own Ladybug persona, and the strategy she takes to banter back with him, which is why I think Chat actually kept fooling around her (and also because that's the personality he has chosen for Chat).
Speaking of Chat, let's consider that in Frozer, Adrien tells Plagg he thinks things won't work out with Kagami because it's not the target that is the problem, it's him. "I must not have the right technique," he tells Plagg, thinking that the way he behaves around Ladybug must be the issue. But then he goes on and not only does he change target, but also strategy, by leaning more into the traits that he does not associate with Chat Noir. In all the Adrigami episodes we see him display a certain degree of silliness with Kagami, but his being sweet, gentle, and sensitive is more prominent: things that you see Chat Noir hardly ever being in seasons 1 through 3.
And oh, what sweet irony, when the moment he integrates his more foolish side into what he presents of himself to Kagami, he is met with immediate disbelief on her part. I bet ya this poor boy had all the evidence he needed in that moment to explain why things "never" worked out with Ladybug. She didn't like the clownery, and neither does Kagami, in his perspective. Which makes it all the sweeter when you realize that right after Kagami refused to believe his being a clown was really him, thus proving his theory, he learns the truth:
Ladybug actually loves that about him, and he had been wrong all along.

The day that changed everything
MLB fanfiction.
Ladrien, Marichat, Ladynoir, Adrianette
Part 20. Old habits
The lights from the lanterns flew up over the lake and exploded, scattering endless clusters of sparks like fireworks, illuminating the lake and the sky above it.
Now this was a Disney fairy tale becoming alive...
But something wasn’t right here. Ladybug saw the lanterns up close while launching them on the water. They weren’t fireworks. And if she was mistaking, why didn’t she hear any sound of explosion then?
“Mirage...” She whispered to herself. And turned to Chat Noir, who was now siting next to her enjoining the view. “Is this an illusion?” She asked.
He smiled, not turning his eyes from the sky. “It doesn't hurt to have a Ladynoir shipper with some special powers on your side.”
After a little silence Chat turned to her, peering into her face with some emotion Ladybug couldn’t really name. Expectation? Anticipation?
“Am I... winning so far?” He asked.
“Winning?” Ladybug was confused.
“In comparison with your other dates.” He explained.
“Is that your goal?” She felt a slight prick of pain in her chest. “Winning ‘best-date’ competition?”
“My goal is winning my lady’s heart.” Chat Noir’s tone was so serious, Ladybug felt her muscles going limp and a shiver running down her spine.
She was grateful to be sitting, unsure of being able to hold her body otherwise.
Was this really happening? Did he mean what he said? Chat wouldn’t play with her feelings like this, would he? And it wasn’t just a flirt of some sort. His face was calm and earnest.
“You would win it even by bringing pizza and sitting with me on my kitchen again.” Ladybug whispered, being afraid her voice would otherwise tremble.
Chat’s eyes opened wider and his lips parted. He was looking at her as if he didn't believe he heard her right. He exhaled slowly and licked his lips. His face softened, gentle smile touched his mouth.
“Then I wouldn’t be able to see the reflection of all those lights in your beautiful eyes, would I?” He said with a soft voice.
Ladybug’s chest fluttered and her heart ran faster. He was so close now. So close in her life again, so close in her mind, so close to her body, sitting here, looking in her eyes, breathing the same air with her again...
She looked at his lips still slightly open and back in his eyes. She saw he caught her eye and she knew they think the same now: it was a kissing moment. His lips moved and Ladybug thought she saw Chat moving closer to her, but his movement was cut short. He swallowed and looked away, his eyes narrowed.
Ladybug was staring at him. Speechless. Was it only in her head? Did she misinterpret the moment? Or he just never meant for them to kiss at the first place? What the ‘winning heat’ thing means then? Just to make her fall in love with him more, then she already has? Why?
No, he wouldn’t. He said he came back to stay. They would have been partners again. He wouldn’t take her on a date, the date like THIS, just... for nothing to fallow...
But he hesitated. May be... maybe she worries for nothing? Maybe Chat isn’t ready yet? Maybe he just needs more time? Maybe she needs more time as well?
“Are you hungry?” Chat Noir asked, voice coming through her thoughts like from a different planet.
Ladybug shook her doubts away, coming back to Earth, and smiled.
“Yeas, what are we having?”
**
“I love you, Marinette.” This was first thing Adrien Agrest said, when she opened the door on the knock next morning.
“Excuse me?” Marinette blinked at him, trying to understand if she woke up enough yet to hear well.
“I love you.” Adrien repeated in a tone like he was saying ‘good morning’. “Can I come in?”
“Uh..” That was not how she’d expected her morning to go. “Sure?” Marinette made a step back, letting him pass.
Marinette closed the door and turn around to face Adrien. He was just standing there, looking at her, like he was expecting for something. Her answer?
“I...” Marinette was trying to find her words with no much luck... Talk about ladybugs here. “I’m sorry Adrien, I’m in love with Chat Noir.” Why did she say this to him? She could just say something like ‘I love someone else’, or even ‘I don’t love you’...
Well, he knew she was Ladybug, and it was quite strait forward to come to her and just tell her he’d loved her, so, there. She can be strait too, it’s called honesty, duh..
“You... are?” Adrien was looking at her... amazed?
“Yes. I am.” What is even happening here? “You have to understand, Adrien, you are really important to me. I was in love with you for a long time, but... when I lost him... I understood how much he meant to me. And... I can’t... I know he might never forgive me for what I did, when.. your father was... uh... But I can’t be with someone else, even with you. I really love him. I’m sorry.” Story of her life in just few words. She sighed.
“I wasn’t sure you loved... him... that way.” Adrien said for some reason. Well. This wasn’t the reaction she’d expected.
“You thought I loved him?” How? she thought. “And you came and confessed to me anyway?”
“I think he already did. Forgive you, that is.” Adrien said. Did he just ignored her question?
“Why do you think so?” Adrien Agreste can speak from behave of Chat Noir? When did this happened? “Did he tell you something when he showed you your mother?”
“He didn’t show me my mother.”
“He didn’t? But I thought...” Didn’t Chat tell her so? Was she confusing something? Marinette couldn’t remember the exact words Chat Noir used, when he told her about it. “How did you know then?”
Adrien made a step toward her and placed his hands on her shoulders. “I’m not sure you’re ready to hear the answer on this question, Marinette.”
Electricity ran through her body as Marinette remembered Chat Noir telling her the exact same words, when she asked him, why Shadowmoth told him about his wife. She was distracted then, and didn’t pay much attention to it. But now...
It was the same expression. The same voice. The same... How didn’t she recognize it sooner?
Marinette was looking at Adrien with her eyes wide opened, while hundreds of thoughts ran through her head. But all this typhoon could be said in just one short sentence, Marinette wasn’t sure she was ready to admit to herself: Adrien was Chat Noir.
“It... it can’t be...” she said in a weak voice.
“Only if you don’t want it to be.” Adrien just said.
Marinette looked down on her shoulder where his right hand stayed. She raised her left hand and touched the ring on his finger instinctively.
“I love you, Marinette.” Adrien said again. And it wouldn’t make any sense at this point after telling her twice already. If only he didn’t mean one thing. He was talking as Chat Noir now. Chat Noir loved her. He loved her back.
“Chat...” Tears overshadowed her eyes. She couldn’t believe something that was more then obvious now.
Adrien moved closer and took her in his arms so gently, as if she was wrapped in a soft duvet.
“I’m sorry, m’Lady. For everything.” He whispered. “Please forgive me.”
She was just shaking in his arms, tires rolling down her face. Forgive? Him? Who suffered more then anyone in whole this life-story.
“Chat...” She whispered, swallowing her tears. “I love you... I love you so much... Adrien... my dear Chat Noir. I love you so, so much.”
He was holding her like this, until her breathing calm down and she was able to open her eyes and look at him again.
Adrien was looking at her with soft tender smile on his face.
“Is there enough love sparkles in my eyes, my lady?” He asked, referring to her answer on Nadja’s show.
She smiled. She only now started to realize her partner was with her all this time. On the show, and on the dates. No wonder he could read her like an open book. No wonder their thoughts coincided, as she was thinking about him the whole time!
“Enough for me.” She replied, plasing her palm on his cheek. “Are you ready to have ‘a silent promise of endless love’ then?”
Adrien’s eyes flashed with joy. “You remembered?” He asked, smiling like a boy, who just got an ice-cream.
“Old habits die hard.” Marinette said, smiling back.
“I don’t think I want them to die at all.” Adrien said, and finally kissed her.

A look into LadyNoir for my Reversal AU, The Other Way Around. You don’t really need to read the other parts to get this one :)
Title: The Other Way Around, Part 3 Pairing: Lovesquare (LadyNoir)   Rating: G+ Word Count: 2.5K
The first time Marinette really interacted with a cat was at a friend’s house. She was six years old at her very first sleepover. Nervous and shy, she’d spent the majority of the evening worrying about what would happen once the lights were out. She’d never had to sleep through a night without her parents or family with her. No amount of cartoons or pillow fights could fully ease the fear of impending darkness.
The other three girls seemed totally adjusted and excited, but Marinette could hardly eat dinner even though it was pizza from their favorite spot. Then she nearly burst into tears at the table when they served the cookies her parents had sent with her, overwhelmed with missing them so badly. With her eyes stinging and her voice ready to cry out that they should call home to pick her up, Button the cat suddenly sprung onto her lap. She was a fluffy tan thing with two black dots going down the center of her back, hence her name. In that moment she looked just like a chocolate chip cookie, albeit one that blinked up at Marinette’s face with huge, adorable brown eyes. The cat smooshed her head against the girl’s stomach, sat down, and began to purr. In her surprise and fascination, young Marinette forgot what she was so upset over.
She never had pets growing up—the hair was too much to maintain when her family also lived in a bakery—so she hadn’t any courage to approach Button before, even when the other girls had spent time petting her. She knew cats had claws and their yawns revealed sharp, pointy teeth. The last thing she wanted was to get scratched or bitten when she was already terrified. Cats had been a scary mystery. Button was small and fluffy and warm. The moment she cuddled up to her, Marinette fell in love.
After that day, cats became her favorite animal, and while she still wasn’t allowed to have one (despite the begging and puppy eyes that her mother valiantly fought against with gentle reasoning), Marinette surrounded herself with them as a good luck charm. She had kitty keychains, plush toys, cat-covered folders to take to class, and cat-print bedsheets. The obsessive phase lasted for three years, but the fondness stayed even when her room took on a pink and floral theme to match her changing design aesthetic. Obviously when she found the giant body pillow shaped like a cat, she knew she had to have it anyway. After long days of dealing with Chloe’s yapping and her own special trademark combination of back luck and clumsiness, hugging that massive squishy cat became her ultimate comfort.
That was, until another cat fell into her lap. Well, crashed into her entire body was more what happened.
When she was gifted her miraculous, Marinette thought herself a poor fit for a superhero. She liked leadership positions and really didn’t have a big problem taking charge when needed, but saving lives was a ton of pressure. She’d thrown her yoyo randomly, not sure of a single move she made, and in doing so managed to tangle her partner and herself up despite the superpowers. Chat Noir seemed more natural, and surely he deserved a partner that had the confidence to match his skills instead of her. Marinette was stuck in her head with apprehension. She’d totally screwed up her very first mission by letting the akuma multiply instead of purifying it. She wasn’t excited to be a hero. She was terrified.
Maybe it was the cat bias that made her instantly trust Chat Noir, but it was the way he put his warm hands so squarely on her shoulders and assured her that she could do this, that made her fall in love. It was the second time a cat had saved her from giving in to her fears.
He gave her the courage to stand up to Hawkmoth, and the moment she vowed to take him down was a triumph of bravery. She wouldn’t have been able to do that without him.
Of course she fell for him.
He didn’t make it any easier for her as they got closer. He was just so endearingly sweet, throwing compliments at her all the time for encouragement.
If only she didn’t turn into an absolute pile of goo whenever he did. At least she was always able to pull herself together to get the job done, but it was his fault. What could anyone expect from her when her partner was talented, smart, super handsome, and somehow humble about all of it?
She’d witnessed how he avoided the spotlight in favor of checking up with akuma victims. She’d seen him time after time go out of his way to protect others, especially her, from harm’s way. And after he did all those things he’d throw her the credit as if she was the one saving the day.
They worked together well, reading each other’s moves and adapting to each other’s pace. But he never needed the attention, happy to just get the mission done. It was a side of him that she got to see when the crowds weren’t looking, proud at what they’d accomplished while holding his fist out to hers in solidarity to say, “We did it!” Together. Always together.
But then their miraculouses would beep, and they’d have to go their separate ways with her casting lingering glances towards whichever horizon he’d disappear off to.
At least during some of their mutual patrols they had time to talk. She looked forward to each one, no matter what other responsibilities she had waiting for her once it was over. Getting to know her partner was such a highlight to her identity as Ladybug. There was the triumph of victory, the thrill of the physics defying feats she could accomplish, the heartwarming gratitude of the citizens… and then there was this: sitting at the top of the Eiffel with their feeting dangling in the cool Parisian air, aimlessly talking above a safe city set aglow with evening lights; the warm sense of security yet tingling excitement of hanging out with her one and only crush.
“Favorite hot drink?” she wondered.
Asking non-identifying questions was their way of bonding without compromising themselves.
Chat Noir hummed thoughtfully over a cookie—raspberry macarons, a favorite she had learned fairly early on. “The hot chocolate you brought in the winter was great. Probably the best I’ve ever had, actually.”
She blushed and kicked her feet nervously. She swore that she would’ve tripped if they’d been walking. Somehow his compliments did that to her. “T-thanks.”
He grabbed another macaron and turned it over, studying the ruffled feet as he added, “Otherwise I’m really fond of tea. My mother liked English high tea; always insisted we have a tea break at some point in the day. When I was a kid I was only in it for the cookies and sandwiches, but at this point I like the drink too. It's nostalgic.”
He always got wistful when he spoke about his mother, but Marinette knew that train of thought would lead them to somewhere too personal. It wasn’t that she didn’t yearn to know more about him. Quite the opposite, but they both knew that it wasn’t safe yet. There had been too many close calls. She followed up with another question. “Any tea in particular?”
“Earl grey, usually. I’m a fan of London Fogs over coffee.”
She smiled down, looking at her home’s direction. They had a lovely macaron with that flavor as well, she thought. She could bring him a variety box next time. Maybe one day they could do tea together in some fashion. A picnic, perhaps? High tea during an evening patrol seemed a bit strange, but she could always brew him a decaf in a thermos so he wouldn’t be hopped up on caffeine. Or maybe that was too much if she was already bringing the same flavor in a cookie. Did hot chocolate go well with earl grey? What about the raspberry? Plenty of people ordered a variety of flavors all the time. Maybe she should throw in a few others for balance, like the rose ones. Wait, were rose flavored macarons too romantic? Would it seem like a date if she brought him flower-flavored food? Not that she didn’t want to date him because of course she did but—
“Deep in thought, Ladybug?”
Chat Noir’s twinkling green eyes greeted her, just a few centimeters from her face. He must have been trying to get her attention for a while.
Surprised, she suddenly scooted back and flailed. “Oh!” Thankfully she was securely seated on the beam enough to not begin a sad plummet to the ground. Desserts were well and good, but she’d prefer to avoid becoming a polka dotted pancake. “Yes, sorry! Did you say something?”
He laughed his magical laugh, accustomed to her tendency to get lost in her own head. “No need to apologize. I was just saying that it was my turn to ask a question before we turn in for the night.”
Ah, was it already time to go back? Sheepishly, the heroine smiled. “Did you already ask it?”
A flash of teeth showed off his mirthful grin. “I did.”
“Sorry.” He had already told her not to apologize, but it was embarrassing that she was fantasizing about dating him when he was literally sitting besides her. “What was it again?”
“I asked if you’ve been on a date lately, Little Lady.”
Oh.
Her mind short-circuited. Had she been babbling out loud? How desperate had she sounded? “What? Me! Doing to date you? I mean, going on a date with someyou? Someone!”
If her slip up meant anything, he didn’t acknowledge it. He never did. Did she want him to?
“Yep. Like a romantic one-on-one date. I, uh,” he bashfully scratched the back of his neck, “I’ve been thinking about it lately.”
A rush of blood warmed her cheeks. “Y-you were?” Thinking about dating someone? Her? Them? Romantically!
He avoided her eyes, choosing to look up instead as he laughed nervously. “For a while now. I don’t even think I could, but there’s a girl…”
I’m a girl, her brain supplied with excitement.
“You can’t ask her?”
He clicked his tongue. “There’s a few conflicts. First of all, I don’t know how she really feels about me, and… I don’t know how to say the other part without really giving anything away.”
Ladybug pursed her lips and gave him time, either out of courtesy or because she was freaking out and incapable of speech.
“Um, it’s like… an occupational issue, I guess. I don’t know if I’d be allowed, in a sense. Then there’s the issue that I know nearly nothing about dating,” he explained.
For all his vagueness, she fit his description enough. She’d never outright confessed to being in love with him, so he didn’t know her feelings. Also they weren’t really supposed to date with all their responsibilities, and wasn’t that just part of their job as heroes? So for all intents and purposes, Chat Noir really could have been talking about her. The possibility made her head spin.
Her hope was strung on a tightrope; a precarious position that could go either way. She could ask him directly if he meant someone in his civilian life or if by some miracle he was talking about her—or she could stay on the precipice between disappointment and bliss. But for all her clumsiness, Marinette preferred balance whenever she could manage it. So she stayed her course, eyes far from looking down at the possibilities and instead on the objective: answer him.
“I haven’t been on a real date recently, no.”
She looked for any hint about his feelings in his response, any indication that he was relieved or just pitied her. He simply nodded, leaving her clueless as she continued to walk the tightrope.
“Same,” he let out a whiny sigh. “I guess I can’t really ask for advice then. I’m terrible when it comes to romance.”
She traced one of her spots with a gloved finger, trying to keep a clear mind despite the slight relief that her crush wasn’t out on dates all the time. “I doubt it. You’re so amazing, you’d make any girl really happy and lucky to be with you.” Saying those words aloud had her face feeling as red as her suit.
“Luck is your department, LB,” he grinned. “I imagine admirers are chasing you left and right.”
“Not in any serious manner,” Adrien’s corny and outlandish attempts to get her attention came to mind. He was just a flirt by nature, hardly what someone would consider a real admirer. “I… I’d be happy to go on a date with somebody who really liked me though.”
He gave her a thoughtful look that made her pause.
She stood up suddenly. “I mean, not just anybody! Like… if I knew they actually liked me, then I might give it a chance? Depending on the person.”
Chat Noir smiled again, patiently letting her ramble as usual.
She took a deep breath to collect herself. “It doesn’t matter how experienced you are with dating, at least that’s what I think. If she’s a nice person then she’ll also understand and you’ll both get through it together. You just have to be yourself.”
“You’re right as always, Little Lady,” he sighed. Her stomach did a flip at the soft sound of his voice. “You know, you do give the best advice.”
Balance, she reminded herself. Tightrope.
But he spoke again, “I can always count on you to cheer me up if things go wrong, can’t I?”
The words were kind—like a soft breeze—which was just enough to throw off her careful, barely established balance; just enough information to tip her over to the fact that he must have been talking about some other girl if at the end of the day he could still find comfort in her, his partner.
And so she fell. Or, well, she’d fallen for him a long time ago. What did she expect? Something happier, she’d hoped. Something more similar to catching herself with her yo-yo, lifting back up to soar instead of her hopes tumbling down.
“Ladybug?”
She took a second to glance down at the ground where her heart felt like it had dropped. From their high position on the Eiffel, it was a long way down. For how much she loved him, she wasn’t sure just how her heart would break. Shatter like glass? Crumble to pieces? Or would it plummet and dent the floor because it certainly felt as heavy as lead when she turned to face Chat Noir, an achingly sweet melancholy painted on face as he smiled at her.
“Of course you can count on me. You and me against it all,” she assured, holding out her hand to help him up. It was time to go, after all.
He grinned as he stood, “Everything from akumas to heartbreak.”
She gave a weak laugh in reply. “Good night, Chat.”
“Good night, Little Lady.”

WINGLESS | Ch. 2
***WARNING: Season 4 Spoilers Ahead
***New to Wingless? Start at Chapter 1!
CH. SUMMARY: Of all the people Rena could let slip that she knows Ladybug's identity in front of . . . it had to be Chat Noir.
< < < THREE MONTHS AGO < < <
Ladybug swung from building to building, the exhilaration of a job well done fueling the fire in her veins. Traffic it would seem had resumed immediately, the sounds of wheels on pavement and cars obnoxiously honking ricocheting throughout the city’s architecture. This didn’t surprise Ladybug, seeing as the city had grown quite accustomed to akumas blocking the roads. Once the tips of her toes touched a rooftop, it wasn’t long before she was joined by another pair of boots.
“That went well,” commented Ladybug as she swiveled to face her teammate.
Rena Rouge folded her arms across her chest and popped a hip, lips puckered in a frown. “Are you kidding, girl?”
Ladybug’s face fell. No, she wasn’t kidding. She honestly had felt it went well. Was she missing something? Did a disaster strike while she was focused on her lucky charm? Had her Miraculous ladybugs not corrected all of the damage? Were there civilians hurt somewhere--
Abruptly, Rena clapped her hands on Ladybug’s shoulders and squealed, putting a halt to Ladybug’s internal meltdown. “That went amazing! We’re like a well-oiled machine, you and me. I still can’t believe I get to do superhero stuff!” At the sound of Alya’s impromptu shrieking, some pigeons nearby took flight, cooing what Ladybug imagined was a bird version of crotchety old people grumbling. Not even the least bit deterred, Rena leaned forward into Ladybug’s personal bubble, eyes wide with excitement. “But what I really can’t believe is that I’m doing it all with my best friend!”
Ladybug relaxed her posture and let out a breath she hadn’t known she was holding. But she quickly regretted it when she got a nice, big whiff of crepes, urine, and cigarette smoke. Ah, Paris. Home, sweet home. However, noticing her thoughts were veering dangerously offtrack, Ladybug shook herself mentally.
So nothing had gone wrong. Rena was just being Rena and drawing out the suspense. Ladybug patted her friend’s right hand--which was still firmly squeezing her shoulder--and smiled sweetly.
“It sure is convenient that I don’t have to hide from you anymore,” the spotted-heroine remarked. “I think half the time I took so long to get to a battle because I always had to come up with excuses.”
Rena grinned with a knowing glint in her eye. “I might be impressed if your excuses were actually good.”
Rolling her eyes, Ladybug turned away from Rena, causing Rena’s hands to fall to her sides. “Hey, you try having to come up with five hundred different reasons you have to flake on your friends and see if you fare any better.”
Rena was about to sass her best friend some more, but the words caught in her throat at the sight of Ladybug hugging herself. She recognized this stance. Ladybug’s head was in what Rena deemed the “Guilt Grotto.”
Rena stepped forward to wrap Ladybug in a warm, girl-you-better-get-your-head-out-of-the-guilt-grotto-or-I’ll-tickle-you embrace when there was movement across the rooftops in her periphery. She craned her head to the right to find the familiar silhouette of Chat Noir vaulting his way over, a goofy grin clearly plastered across his face the closer he got.
In a matter of seconds, he landed squarely beside Ladybug, startling her. Ladybug, the epitome of grace that she was, did a series of awkward hand gestures before falling back on her bum, shrieking.
Chat Noir didn’t even look a teeny bit remorseful.
“Looks like I got here just in time!” he quipped, bowing and sliding his baton back into place on his suit.
Rena held out a hand for her friend as Ladybug voiced her question: “In time for what?”
Chat bounced on the balls of his feet. “Well, for the akuma, of course! You guys were having a quick team meeting, right?”
Rena and Ladybug shared a look. So that’s what he was so happy about. Ladybug opened her mouth to reply, but Rena beat her to it.
“Actually, we already took care of the akuma.”
Chat Noir visibly deflated. His ears drooped and his belt tail started to swish back and forth. “Oh.” He turned to the edge of the rooftop and hunkered down, letting his legs kick to and fro in an attempt to get rid of some of the adrenaline.
Ladybug winced. Chat did not sound happy. Hesitantly, she sat next to him. Rena then took a seat beside her, making her the middle. “Sorry, Chat. I know you like battling akumas more than I do.”
Chat nodded before murmuring, “Thirteen.”
“Hm?” Ladybug scooted closer to him to hear him better, their legs nearly touching. She leaned to her right to get a better look at his face and tilted her head innocently. If she were Marinette then, she might have fallen off the rooftop altogether, but she was Ladybug, and Ladybug had way more poise.
Chat didn’t answer immediately. Whatever it was that he was about to say, Ladybug knew it must be something important if he, the guy who was always upfront about his feelings, found it difficult to say. The guy who told her . . .
It’s precisely when something is important that it’s important to say it.
No matter what.
Ladybug gingerly rested a hand on his arm, hoping he understood what the gesture meant. It’s okay. Take your time. I’m ready to listen.
After a few more moments of staring at his feet, Chat Noir lifted his head so his eyes bore into Ladybug’s. They creased with . . . Was that worry? Sadness? Fear?
“Thirteen,” he repeated, a bit louder. “That makes it thirteen times you and Rena have battled an akuma without me. Since Montparnasse Tower.”
Ladybug was speechless. As she stared ahead, eyes unfocused, she tried her hardest to recall all the akuma battles. It was challenging as her memory loved to fail her when she needed it most. Had he really not been in any of those battles? Had it really been thirteen times?
Had he . . . had he really been keeping count?
Ladybug didn’t know what to say, but she knew she had to say something, anything. But what could she say? Was she sorry?
No, she couldn’t be sorry that the akumas had been defeated, that the victims had been rescued, that she had been able to do so quickly because Alya had been spending a record amount of hours by her side.
She couldn’t be sorry about any of that. She was only sad that he felt sidelined.
That was not her intention.
But she knew what the solution to that was.
And she would rather die before she let Chat Blanc see the light of day.
Somehow, knowing her identity had led to him being akumatized. Somehow, whether it was in an alternate timeline or when their memories had been wiped by Oblivio, she knew that what he said at Montparnasse Tower--that to know him was to love him--was truth. And Chat Blanc had told her what their love did.
Their love destroyed the world.
Their love had killed her.
Their love broke the moon, for crying out loud.
But, most importantly, their love hurt him.
Chat Noir had told her he loved her, many times, and she had even been considering giving his pun-spurting, jokes-at-the-worst-times self a chance. But being forced into combat with her akumatized partner had violently squashed any hope she had for them, for LadyNoir as Alya coined it on her blog. Ladybug would be damned if she allowed that to happen again. And if that meant encouraging him to move on even though it broke her heart . . .
Well, it wasn’t supposed to be easy being a hero.
Ladybug had this entire conversation with herself in a matter of seconds. She was careful not to let her face expose any of her innermost feelings, instead sporting an expression of neutrality. What she ultimately decided to do was tell him the only truth she had to offer. He hated secrets and she hated lying. What a pair they made.
“I wish it could be different,” she whispered.
And oh, how she did. She desperately yearned to tell him who she was, to know who he was, to tell him about Alya and Nino and all the other people she had entrusted with a Miraculous.
She wanted him to know how she grew up, what kinds of things she did at school, how she was utterly ridiculous when it came to her rotten luck (and she tried very hard to push a certain blue-eyed blonde out of her head the moment that phrase came to mind). She was sure he would snicker at all the times she made a fool of herself in front of Adrien, of all the ways she made her own life a living hell with her clumsiness.
Or perhaps he wouldn’t laugh. Perhaps he would pat her shoulder and uplift her with words of encouragement. She didn’t know. After the stunt he pulled with the balcony of candle-lit roses, the boy was a wild card, an enigma. He was complex.
And it thrilled her.
But no matter how she felt about him, they couldn’t know each other that way.
Sighing quietly, Ladybug brought her knees up to her chest and turned away from Chat Noir. If she had been watching him when she responded, she might have seen him look longingly at her, but she didn’t.
Rena Rouge did, though.
Wanting to make her friends feel better, Rena added, “Don’t you worry your pretty kitty head about it. I’m sure all those battles would have taken way longer if we weren’t already together.”
Ladybug and Chat Noir both stiffened. Chat’s gaze flicked from Rena to his partner over and over before they finally rested on Ladybug. “Uh, what does she mean by that?”
Ladybug shot a glare in Rena’s direction, but her eyes softened when she saw that Rena genuinely appeared surprised.
He didn’t know? Rena’s eyes asked Ladybug.
He didn’t know, Ladybug’s affirmed.
One would think Rena was Lady Luck because her pendant had decided that that moment was the best time to beep, and she couldn’t agree more. Now she had an escape route from this conversation. “Welp,” she clapped her hands together, “I’m gonna go chill in that fine-lookin’ alley over there.”
Before Ladybug could agree, Rena sprang from her spot and promptly disappeared. She was a regular magician, and her latest trick was leaving Ladybug with a rabbit to put back in the hat.
Or, er--a cat back in the bag. Whatever.
“What she meant by that . . . ” Ladybug began slowly, like she was addressing a wounded animal. Which, maybe she was but just, you know, emotionally wounded.
“Yeah . . . ” prompted Chat, signalling that he was not going to drop this.
Ladybug quickly jumped to her feet and began her ritual of frantic pacing. “Look, I’ve been wanting to tell you this for a while, but I didn’t know how to because I knew it would raise questions that I couldn’t answer--”
A blonde boy in white leather with somber blue eyes appeared in front of her and she dug her heels into the cement, skidding to a stop.
Chat Noir was behind Ladybug now, his voice soft and curious. “Bug?”
Ladybug was frozen in place for a few more seconds before she shook her head hard enough to give herself shaken-baby syndrome and nodded, satisfied that the aggressive head-shaking had rid her of he who shall not be named. She whipped around and started.
Chat Noir was incredibly close.
She didn’t know he had gotten this close.
Geez, his eyes were really cat-like.
He also had a really cute nose--
Ladybug, FOCUS!
Ladybug took a step back. She made it her mission to ogle his bell instead of looking into his dumb kitten eyes. “You--” she began, but Ladybug’s throat was suddenly dry. She gulped. “You know how much I hate secrets and lying. And I know how much you hate secrets and lying. So I’m not going to lie to you. But I may not be able to answer the questions I’m sure you’ll have, so please . . . ”
Ladybug grabbed one of his hands then and held it firmly between her own, pleading with every fiber of her being that this would communicate how much he meant to her even though she knew what she was about to tell him would make it seem like he didn’t mean anything.
Please forgive me, Ladybug’s heart supplied.
When he didn’t immediately take his hand back, she looked up at him. She looked into those dumb kitten eyes and knew without a shadow of a doubt--
She was a masochist.
This was going to hurt. He didn’t like when she was the only one to know Rena’s identity. He definitely wasn’t going to like that Rena knew hers. This would be so much easier if she wasn’t ogling those big, emerald green, beautiful, brazenly dumb kitten eyes.
But she was a masochist. And she needed to see them while they still held love for her.
“I told Rena Rouge who I am.”
There. She ripped off the band-aid. Straight to the point. Zero room for interpretation. After all, her worst arguments started because of her clumsy miscommunication.
Ladybug braced herself for an explosion. She had played this moment in her head a couple hundred times since exposing herself to Alya.
Yelling. There was always yelling.
Sometimes, he stomped away while doing that weird T pose where his fists didn’t connect to his hips . . . a pose she herself was guilty of, too.
Others, he chastised her about her thoughtlessness--to which she responded that she definitely thought about it long and hard that day.
Ladybug braced herself for an explosion because she was sure there was going to be one, especially after seeing him upset about her always running off to Master Fu. He hadn’t even known there was a Guardian for a while.
What she hadn’t braced herself for was the expression on his face.
Thump, thump. Thump, thump.
His head was bowed.
His eyes were closed.
A lone tear slid down his cheek.
Thump, thump. Thump, thump.
Her heart thudded against her ribcage, screaming at her to run because he wanted her Miracul--!
No! She refused to finish that thought.
Her head yelled back that he wasn’t akumatized right now, that she wasn’t back there, that she wasn’t with him. She desperately tried to shove the image from her mind. This was more than she could bear. She just--she couldn’t take it! She couldn’t take it because . . .
Because . . .
Thump, thump. Thump, thump.
Because he looked just like him.
Thump-thump. Thump-thump.
He looked like Chat Blanc.

Didn’t Need Burrow (August 7th-September 13th)
Anonymous asked:
Didn’t Need Burrow: Ladybug and Chat Noir will be asked to participate in judging a competition that Marinette and Adrien are both a part of. Ladybug will want to vote for herself as Marinette, but Tikki will tell her(once detransformed and while she is snacking) that she can’t because then people will know that Marinette is Ladybug. Chat Noir, meanwhile, will freely vote for Adrien with no repercussions or drawbacks, and Adrien will end up winning the competition. Marinette will admit that she was “so silly” to even think of voting for herself, especially since “Adrien needs the award more so that I do” despite being rich, white, male, and “perfect”(oh, I’m sorry, “purrfect”!), since all of Marinette’s legitimate problems of anxiety, dyspraxia, and the like get thrown out the window because the writers’ perfect sunshine boy incel stand-in has a “saaad home life!”, and Marinette needs to give him pity and put his feelings above his rather than wish for her own success. Cuz Girl Power.
tbh, given the leaks script, I’d reverse that and saying that Adrien voted for LadyNoir as Couple of the Year.
Anonymous asked:
Didn’t Need Burrow: Marinette and Adrien will reveal their identities, and Marinette actually WILL be disappointed that the boy who goofed off in fights and didn’t take no for an answer is none other than her perfect modeling celebrity crush. However, rather than this being a point towards Adrien needing to learn how to improve himself and accept Marinette’s feelings, this scene is used to make HER look bad(because of course it is) and she is blamed for expecting Adrien to be perfect(despite being encouraged and told to see him as such), and told that she should be happy that Chat was hitting on her even when she didn’t like it or it got in the way of battle plans, likely by Alya, because it was her true love under the mask all along. Eventually she “learns her lesson”(ick) and comes to accept Adrichat for who he is, warts and all. Bonus if she has a flashback to when Chat said “if you saw me without my mask you wouldn’t be able to resist me” as she realizes that he was right.
Didn’t Need Burrow? More like “Didn’t Need to Think About This”
i hate it
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Luka will be Chat Blanc "2.0"
But Luka doesn’t have Chat-level favoritism going so Bunnyx won’t be there to defend him from consequences.
Anonymous asked:
We will have Ladybug!Alya in Marinette's akumatization episode. Obviously everyone would think that she is "better" than "old" Ladybug. (Bonus points if Ladybug!Alya don't "alienate" Chat Noir, mostly by catering to his whims)
Oh, of course! No one will miss the “old” Ladybug.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Bob Roth is akumatized into Rip Off, a supervillain with power to copy anything he sees (including powers of heroes)
Okay but that’s genius.
(I know we already had it in “Miraculer” but I like this more.)
Anonymous asked:
DNB: Now that Luka knows their identities, he will push the Love Square in a romantic manner. Stans would be totally fine with this because it doesn't interfere with their endgame :)
Well, obviously!
I’m just waiting for them to basically say that the secret identities don’t matter and, because they like one side, also means they like the other side.
Because forget nuance, am I right?
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: In the end, (after Adrienette gets together) Narrator reveals himself (herself?) as Alya with words "that's how I helped my bestie [Marinette] get a relationship with love of her life [Adrien]" or something similar.
wait, Alya, are you filming a Ladybug biography
why did you include all the humilation
why
That explains her making herself look good though.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Luka will finally reveal that he knows Heroes' secret identities... to Alya, who obviously decide to hide from Marinette that Luka knows her identity (Bonus Points if reason provided by Alya why she is doing this is utterly ridiculous)
AAAAAAAAAAAA
I guess Luka would have to realize that Alya knows. Bonus if he tells her Chat’s identity too so love square shipping can commence.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: "Knitting Fairy" will be name of Marinette's akumatized form.
Can you say “reused design”? I certainly can, we’re used to it.
Anonymous asked:
Didn’t Need Burrow:
Luka keeping his knowledge about the identities (esp. Ladybug’s) will somehow blow up in a way for the writers to paint him in a bad light, probably ending with Marinette not trusting him. (As well as no hint of irony that Adrien did the same thing for completely selfish reasons in Chat Blanc).
MiraculousMX: Platonic soulmates!
us: Source??
Anonymous asked:
DNB: If LS gets reversed, Adrien complains about Marinette having other friends. Not just being friends with Luka or any other guys, but friends PERIOD, showing the same jealousy/desire for his 'love interest' to be isolated as Chat Noir. These MASSIVE RED FLAGS are treated as Just More Innocent Sadrien Things, because he's sOoOoOo Sad and SoOoOoO Lonely~
Oh god, now I had an awful thought that this is where Adrien getting jealous of Luka, and Luka feels bad/”knows what’s best” so he either ditches Marinette/finds an excuse to leave or makes sure that Adrien gets his time with her.
Because it’s the love square so it’s “important” that Marinette spend time with Adrien.
Anonymous asked:
Dnb: assuming the Senti-Adrien theory is true, in the season finale, Viperion joins the fight, stops SM from using the ladybug an cat miraculi by going back in time only to use them by himself, wishing for Adrien to be a real boy (and love Marinette). Of course Luka needs to give something in exchange, worst case scenario, his life.
That got really dark.
Though tbh with how much they push Luka and Marinette around, one of them will probably have to give up something huge for Adrien (they both already sacrificed their relationship, so--).
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: If Chat Noir joins Shadow Moth then he is treated by both Gabriel and Heroes as his greatest asset, even through he is still complete joke that is defeated by rest of Heroes faster than Mr Pigeon in "Timetagger". (Bonus points if Heroes defeat him by "Backhand Offhand", Offscreen or he is defeated by "Friendly Fire" from Akuma of the Week due to his own stupidity)
tbh I could probably do more sad math with “how often Chat Noir/Cataclysm is useless,” bonus if it’s put up against characters/Ladybug stroking his ego.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: Adrien's fears concerning Ladybug are made more explicit through a nightmare/vision (possibly akuma-induced) of Ladybug calling him unreliable/saying she doesn't need him anymore because she has partners she can actually COUNT on. Naturally, this is treated as Pure Sadrien Hours rather than a fair critique. Bonus if he ditches/forces her to beg for his assistance AGAIN to soothe his poor bruised baby ego.
*“Malediktator” flashbacks, but Adrien instead of Chloe*
Anonymous asked:
Didn't Need Burrow: Adrien/Chat Noir skips out on a fight/akuma attack for some spiteful, selfish reason or another. Ladybug handles it without him, either completely through her own skill or with help from Rena/other heroes. Adrien then angsts about 'not being needed', with Marinette's 'Mistake of the Day' being that she didn't cater to his pity party due to being too busy DOING HER DAMNED JOB.
me seeing that one leaked script where they talk about how Chat/Cataclysm would make things easier: *sigh*
Anonymous asked:
Didn't Need Burrow: Plagg will encourage Adrien to act even more selfishly, skipping more battles and being even brattier. This is so his stans can blame Plagg for being 'a bad influence' on their perfect angel, even when it's clear the two of them are on the same wavelength. Oooh, he's twisting his rubber arm; how AWFUL--! Adrien would NEVER do all these Awful Things he's already done if he didn't have Plagg~! What a bad kitty~!
“rubber arm” jdfkgjndfjgfg
tbh Plagg already is super laidback and doesn’t really like transforming/complains about going into battle, so this isn’t much of a stretch.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: "Gabriel Agreste" or other episodes will reveal that Gabriel flew many, if not ALL of the same Red Flags his son displays on a regular basis. The narrative treats this as though this makes Gabriel more 'sweet, sad and sympathetic' rather than illustrating that both of them are dangerously entitled and generally awful.
This sounded really intriguing as a sort of “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” thing until that last sentence kicked in.
That’s damn accurate to what they’d do too, ugh.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: Plagg is the one that discovers that Gabriel is Hawk/Shadowmoth, but is forcibly sworn to silence by Adrien. Bonus if Adrien somehow gives this command without learning what Plagg is trying to tell him -- i.e. he get irritated and orders Plagg to shut up in a way that bars him from EVER saying what he was attempting to say -- so that Adrien's stans can claim it was all a big misunderstanding and blame Plagg entirely for it. Or Marinette. Somehow.
Oh oh oh!
Alternatively, Adrien silences Plagg without realizing that he has that kind of power (like saying, “you can’t tell anyone!” and we see the magic hit Plagg’s mouth), so the fandom can say, “HE DOESN’T KNOOOW THAT HE DID IT.”
Anonymous asked:
dntb: Luka is gonna be villianised in some way for not telling Marinette he knows the identities of both of them
Meanwhile, Alya, slipping the bouncer her free pass.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: After one of the kwamis makes one snickering comment too many, Marinette snaps and tells them all to shut up (with obvious outcome). Narrative obviously equals it to scene between Gabriel and Noroo from "Sandboy" (Bonus Points if Narrative deems Marinette worse than Gabriel, because "Gabriel forbid Noroo from talking as joke")
oh my goooooood
Marinette: *snaps because she’s stressed out*
the fandom: SHE SO MEAN!!! ;o;
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Adrien's reveal as Sentimonster just for additional souce of "sad points" for him
this DNB: i am inevitable
mystic-lionroar asked:
Didn't Need Burrow: The writers' Status-Quo allergy kicks in when someone very pointedly implies Chloe, Lila and/or Gabriel work for Hawk Moth with how many Akumas they tend to cause... only to get reminded point blank that "Hawk Moth is the sole one responsible for this mess, no one else". Cue two episodes later, both the characters and the writers' memories of this scene are erased. What erased it? ╰( ・ ᗜ ・ )╯Why, Marinette can be held responsible for this one, of course! (Me: (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻)
╰(‵□′)╯
OH MY GOOOOD
“Crocoduel” also basically already blamed Marinette for two akumatizations so at this point we’re just waiting.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: To further cement the whole 'destined to be' shlock, after the shock of the eventual reveal wears off, we get a call back to how frequently Chat Noir told Ladybug that they were meant for each other and that she 'was the only one who didn't see it'. Marinette agrees that she was silly and foolish for not recognizing it sooner, parroting Adrien's bullshit in order to further cement the notion that she's HAPPILY accepting her 'fate' to be nothing more than his personal prize.
You can’t see it but I have my head in my hands in grief.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: Adrien's gross sense of entitlement towards Ladybug will become even more explicit, with him angrily ranting about how he DESERVES to 'get the girl'. No matter how awful and nasty he gets, the narrative continues to treat him as though he's 100% right to be pissed off at her for DARING to have agency or thinking she has a say in things. As clearly, the biggest mistake Marinette has ever made is thinking she gets to have Opinions or make her own decisions. G-girl power...?
Marinette needing to be constantly told what’s best for her by other people and it’s okay because she needs to accept+follow all opinions.
end me
Anonymous asked:
DNB: The double standard between Adrien and other characters will be more noticeable. Adrien will still be put on a pedestal.
Because no one will notice Adrien if they didn’t put him on a metaphorical and physical pedastal.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Foxy Cat and CaraBug
omg Fox Adrien.is one of the worst hero choices I’ve ever heard fjdgjfjdglfkdg
I could at least see why Marinette thought that Adrien fit the snake since the narrative gushes for him so hard.
Anonymous asked:
Didn’t Need Burrow: As a result of being written by a straight white male writing team, the show starts to use Marinette’s girliness against her. From her love of pink being mocked to the kwamis admitting(in the spirit of another DNB) that they don’t respect Marinette because she’s “too girly”, to her fashion designing being treated as a cutesy but ultimately fickle pastime(in the spirit that all teenage girls’ interests are treated), the show absolutely throws Girl Power out the window in favor of giving Marinette absolute hell for daring to present herself in a traditionally feminine way, treating her femininity as the butt of a joke that no one is laughing at. Bonus points of someone says(or even outright tells her to her face) that she’s “such a girl”, as if that’s supposed to be an insult. Alternatively, this happens to Rose instead of Marinette, as she’s just as girly if not more so than her, or it happens to both of them(regardless of whether or not it’s at the same time).
WOOOOW
I mean, honestly, yeah.
Anonymous asked:
Didn’t Need Burrow: Things other characters did that were bad will be retconned into things that Marinette did instead, or will otherwise be retconned into being her fault, no matter how improbable or contradictory. Meanwhile, bad things characters did to Marinette or good things characters did FOR Marinette will be retconned into nonexistence.
I MEAN THEY BLAMED MARINETTE FOR “SILENCER” SO--
MATTER OF TIME.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Simultaneous Akumatization of Manon, Chris, Ella and Etta, obviously when they are babysat by Marinette, because otherwise ML Writers wouldn't be able to paint it as Marinette's fault
oh god
please no
I mean, not even just to blame Marinette for it, but I can’t even stand these kids when they’re on their own, MUCH LESS TOGETHER.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: If Adrien gets akumatized, then it would be just Chat Blanc with shoulder pads and crown
Is this a reference to my Miracle Queen post?
Because yes.
Anonymous asked:
Didn't need burrow: In Hack-San Chat Noir will pull a Sentibubler and refuse to listen to Alya with the Ladybug Miraculous as he doesn't have a brain unless he can progress the not so progressive four-sided Hellfire, which is actually still the best-case-scenario. I mean he could just not come at all, since he's only there to flirt with and seduce Ladybug with unfunny jokes.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: Adrien causes problems because of Alyabug.
ugggggh
Anonymous asked:
DNB: Alya will immediately have access to things like the creation of charms despite how long it took for Marinette to be able to do that.
Wait--
If she doesn’t, did they literally just give Alya the ladybug miraculous because they knew that Markov wouldn’t have a way of hiding the amulet on him and they didn’t feel like putting it on his model???
Anonymous asked:
Didn’t Need Burrow: Alya’s Ladybug name is “Coccinelle” aka “Ladybug” in French. Or something equally lazy such as The Red Spotted One or the Scarlett Beetle. Even if it sounds cool at first glance, it will ultimately boil down to a plain and obvious name, because apparently EVERY superhero’s name has to so blatantly relate to the animal their Miraculous is based off of. For some reason. Somehow. -_-
fhkgjfdkgdfg okay but “The Red Spotted One” made me laugh.
Anonymous asked:
Hack-San DNB’s:
• Chat Noir will be upset that Ladybug trusted her miraculous to someone else.
• There will be a comment on how Alya was a just as good, if not better Ladybug than Marinette.
• Alya’s performance as LB will be used as another instance to show Marinette made the ‘right choice’ telling her her identity.
• Using the Horse to teleport back instead giving the earrings to Alya will not be mentioned as an option.
• Scene of Adrichat being sad about ‘feeling replaced’.
Especially on that “comment that Alya is just as good, if not better,” one, it probably won’t even be used as a reassurance for Marinette like, “oh, that’s good to know that I’m not the only one who can be Ladybug,” it’ll just be praise for Alya.
Anonymous asked:
Hack-San DNB: Chat Noir gets angry with LB for not telling him she was leaving & she has to apologize for it.
(Despite making sure there was a backup Ladybug to protect Paris, unlike Chat in the NY special who left the city completely unprotected).
Convenient.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: "Dearest Family" (episode where both of Marinette's parents are akumatized) will be about Marinette learning "true value" of Chat Noir
Either that or incorporating Adrien into the family.
Anonymous asked:
Don't Need a Burrow: Psycomedian will be blatant Joker rip-off
You can just say “all akuma in the season will either be rip-offs of themselves or past akuma,” it’s okay. :P
Anonymous asked:
Another DNB for Hack-San, since we see Jagged Stone in the trailer, so if they show it..:
The “most precious possession” of Jagged’s will be Fang and not, y’know, either of his children.
I missed that trailer.
Honestly there could be some funny moments with the concept, but if Jagged is the only joke made about it then yes, I will be very bitter.
Alternatively, Jagged picks his guitar instead.
Anonymous asked:
DNB: In the Alyabug episode, Alya will either be Practically Perfect In Every Way™, or will royally screw up in a way that will somehow lead to Marinette. Either way, Cat Noir will flirt with the new Ladybug, or pull a Sentibubbler. Or both. There may or may not be a comment about how Alyabug's costume is so much better than Marinette's despite being a fashion designer.
dkfgkjdfgjf I adore how this whole thing is just, “there’s so many ways it could go wrong!”
