the main reason i was banking on pictomancer as the casting class was because squeenix is, as a video game studio, chock full of artists who would love to represent their craft in the game.

i expect the pictomancer questline to be some of the realist shit to any artist. i think it'll show characters dealing with creative burnout, balancing passion with work, struggling to express themselves when their skills limit them, the failure to live up to their own expectations, and/or the question of why they make art in the first place.
