Izuku Midoriya :
Tumblr media
He has many reasons to be in a secret relationship with you. Far from being ashamed of you, on the contrary, he still wonders how a someone as awesome as you ended up with a Deku loser like him
You're his little marvel ✨
But being with him is very dangerous, and he was fully aware of it after the second attack of the League of Villain at the training camp... a week after you got together
You decided to wait for at least the double before making it official but this event made izuku wonder. And being the smart boy he is and knowing the fact that the One For All was going to make him a target of choice for the villains, he decided to keep your relationship secret
(( Of course before his vigilante era because in that case I sincerely think he will break up with you to be 100% sure you will be safe... he will watch over you from the shadows ))
But you are far from it for a long time :')
The attack at the training camp had one advantage according to you two, the setting up of the dormitories !
Now it's like you live together
Well, you had to hide from the others but in theory it was quite easy
Knowing that you met exclusively at night, to discuss your respective days or your fears of the future
At the beginning, being the respectful and shy boy that he is, he would only come and chat with you, have a good laugh and then he would kiss your cheek and tiptoe back to his room
Until one day you got tired of him being respectful and kissed him and pulled him into bed with you to cuddle
Turned out you made out after 10 sec at looking at each other in silence
He was so red you could see him glow in the dark
You're personal little Rudolph
Honestly you were doing your stuff quite discreetly, it's not like anyone could guess unless they saw Izuku coming out of your room early in the morning
And it was much more convenient and pleasant to fall asleep with him in your arms or vice versa than to fall asleep with the phone in your hand after hours of discussion through cameras
The day nothing could give away your little secret either
At first you didn't have the same group of friends. He spent his time with Uraraka, Iida and Todoroki while you spent your time with Mina, Hanta, Denki, Eijiro and Katsuki
The few times you and Izuku were together during the day were during training or lunch
But for most people it was just friendship and he probably pestered you with tons of questions about your alter
Well, most of the people but not the explosive Katsuki Bakugo, who considered you as his sister since you interfered with the lov so he wouldn't get kidnapped that night
In short he had a lot of respect for you and even if he hid it well, he was always looking forward to your exciting discussions
However, that day he did not see you in the canteen with the rest of the Bakusquad
"The hot headed isn't here ?" ( a little nickname he had given you since the fight at the training camp )
"I think she went to lunch with Izuku" answered Eijiro while pointing to a table not far from theirs
"Oooooh ! They are so cute !" squeaked Mina
"Ughhh I'm sick of it at this rate I could never date Y/n" whined Denki ( almost wrote my name there pfff )
"What did you say you joker ?!?" yelled Katsuki grabbing Denki by the collar
"No nothing- nothing ! Didn't say a word"
Katsuki was very protective of you and that's what drew his attention to you and Izuku in the first place
His charp attention allowed him to see that during the training Izuku never went to 100% of his strength with you while he was doing it casually with the other girls. And you were far from needing it
So Katsuki kept an eye on you for a week, trying to find out if anything suspicious was going on
( A/n : Jeez Katsuki 😂
"Huh ? What did you say nerd ?!?"
"Kiyaa nothing" runs out of UA )
He had already noticed that the door of Izuku's room - which was not far from his - opened systematically at around 7 in the morning, that is to say about 30 minutes before everyone had to get up
But everything became much clearer the following Friday night
Class 1-A had decided to have a movie night as usual and for the first time Katsuki decided to stay in order to solve the mystery
And that's when he saw something he could never have imagined
While you were sitting on one of the sofas with Izuku by your side one of his hands came to rest on your thigh and you turned your head to give him a smile which he shyly replied
Soon all the heads turned towards the blond who had just released a small explosion without noticing
"This is a joke !" he thought
After that we declared to take a break from the movie while everyone went to the bathroom or to get more snacks
You were also going to get some popcorn leaving Izuku alone on the couch
Katsuki took advantage of this and grabbed Izuku by the collar and dragged him into the corridor before tackling him to the wall
"How long have you two been messing with us ?!?"
"W-what ? I don't understand what you're talking about argh" Izuku pretended not to understand
"I hope your intentions are good nerd or I'll exolode your stupid face" he shouted
And as Izuku was about to push Katsuki to get out of his grip, you appeared behind Katsuki and grabbed him by the shoulders "Don't worry, it's going to be okay"
The explosive sighed and let go of Izuku before his bright red eyes landed on you "I better not scrap you off the ground"
With Vigilante Deku though...
The yelling of your brother from another mother has attracted the rest of the class who are looking at you with round eyes
"Uh what is it ?" asked Mineta
And as Katsuki was about to yell that it was none of their business you took Izuku's hand in yours and spoke up "We're dating"
Everyone gasped in unison, hand over mouth
"Since when ?" asked Momo
Izuku blushed deeply and scratched the back of his head "P-practically 1 year-"
"A Y E A R !!!"
Apart from that the news went pretty well... that doesn't mean that Katsuki will stop mothering you any time soon
Shoto Todoroki :
Tumblr media
He too has good reasons to keep your relationship a secret
The first one being that he is the son of a famous hero and he absolutely does not want your relationship to be torn apart by his old man's reputation or status
Secondly, he doesn't want his father to find out either, he's sure he'd tell him how you're not right for him and how much better he needs you
Which would result in a violent outburst from Shoto that no one would have ever seen
(( Then there is also the Dabi problem which would make you a potential target for the lov but that's a future proble 😅 / cries ))
However I think he would tell Fuyumi about it, I'm even sure. For the simple reason that he is dense and sentimentally constipated / affectionate So he will need all the help in the world in his relationship with you before he eventually gets the hang of it
In itself it wasn't really a problem from that point of view. As he didn't like the atmosphere in his house he preferred to spend time with you outside, walking in the woods or fields rather than rotting inside
He even managed to bring Fuyumi with him one day during one of your walks and you could meet his wonderful big sister, with whom you got along very well right away
"Now I understand why Shoto talks about you all the time" she told you
You swear you have never seen your boyfriend so red in your life, it's as if his scar has disappeared
Apart from this you both felt at times a lack of each other
That is to say that the affectionate looks exchanged in class or during the training or the lunch surrounded by your friends but still separated by the big table prevent you to bloom as you wish
It's only when the dormitories in the academy was decreed that you could finally spend a lot of time together
His discretion allowed him to slip away without being noticed during the breaks
But you also found an opening to get away when your friends proposed activities such as movie nights, board games, video games
That's how, by declining Mina's invitation to the movie night, you managed to find yourselves alone for the evening
It had been a long, long time since you had been alone together
And it was due to the intensive succession of the courses and trainings imposed by Aizawa who didn't go easy on you
In short it was an understatement to say that you had missed each other
And knowing the effect you had on Shoto, it was not surprising that he literally jumped on you, the moment you had moved away from the dormitory complex
He was thirsty for your affection and that's how you found yourself pinned to a tree, his hands firmly holding your hips as he kissed you fiercely
"I kiss missed kiss you kiss so kiss much kiss"
When you both found yourself dizzy from lack of air, you parted, your hands still nestled in his mismatched hair
He gave you a smile with crinkled eyes you'd only seen on his face on special occasions
Your eyes locked with his and before you knew it one of his hands was on your cheek, pulling your lips to his once more
You ran your tongue over his bottom lip to intensify the kiss
"Huh ? What's going on here ?"
This made him jump back separating him from you in an instant. You squeaked at the sudden question from Denki
"Erm nothing…" you replied
After clearing his throat Shoto asked "What are you doing here ?
"Ah I heard noises, like moaning and thought someone was hurt- IS THAT LIPSTICK THAT YOU HAVE ON YOUR MOUTH ?!? OOOOOOOOH !!!" he said pointing at you both with his fingers
Shoto turned pale and turned to you, his eyes widened at the sight of your own smeared lipstick on your lips "Do I have some too ?" he asked in a small voice
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Denki running away so you ran after him leaving Shoto in the lurch. You grabbed Denki with your quirk and tackled him to the ground "You won't tell anyone" you said in a threatening voice
He nodded and you let him go
Shoto suddenly appeared behind you "Will you be alright ?"
You gasped "As long as you're ok I'm ok"
He pulled you to him and kissed your forehead "Then we'll be fine"
As expected, once he arrived in the dormitories Denki whispered to Eijiro, Hanta and Mina what he had just seen
And Mina told it to the girls
15 minutes later Shoto and you arrived in the common room and all heads turned to you as the movie stopped leaving you all in an awkward silence
"Icy Hot !!!"
Shoto looked at him with an indifferent look before seeing you speeding past him towards the blonde who had just run off "DENKI !!!"

hey have you ever made a post about what changes you would make to bnha to make the story more cohesive and less *gestures vaguely*
Hi @trulyisawesome 👋,
Great question! Please be aware that there's some spoilers below and that some of what I have to say may be an unpopular opinion.
It is also rather disjointed as this became a bit of a rant / brainstorm.
So here's a list of what changes I would make to MHA.
Give Bakugou proper consequences - such as having Aizawa expel him right away as soon as he makes to attack Midoriya. It would highlight the message straight away that bullies and abusers can't be heroes as well as the fact that power isn't everything.
Change Izuku's hero name to Dekiru - not Deku. I know some people like the reclaimation of this insult but I'm not one of them. Having Bakugou's insulting nickname meaning 'worthless' be instead changed to Dekiru meaning 'you can do it' fits more with Izuku's character. How he is an underdog who despite the odds never stopped trying with his dream.
Make Shigaraki Tomura the 'rival' as well as the 'villain' of the story. Think about it. What are rivals in these Shonens meant to do? To challenge the Protagonist and inspire them to become stronger. Bakugou in canon just tears Midoriya down relentlessly calling him "Deku" and calling the OFA holders "worthless nobodies" there's nothing inspiring about that. However - Shigaraki. He definitely could challenge Midoriya (both in views and power) and inspire him to become stronger. He's also shown to think of Midoriya constantly (separate to AFO's influence which is huge) so Midoriya could easily challenge (both views wise and in terms of power) and inspire him. Plus more interactions between these two would have done them wonders.
I would have Midoriya be the one to be kidnapped by the League rather than Bakugou. With Shiggy constantly thinking of him I believed this would happen, that Shig would try and fail to recruit Midoriya upon finding out he's a 'late bloomer'. It would also make a contrast between that moment and Izuku trying to save Shigaraki later because at that point they've both reached out to each other. And the whole narrative of 'saving Shigaraki' feels less forced.
Build up Shigaraki either as the main villain taking up AFO's villianous legacy like how Izuku is taking AM's heroic legacy or build up his redeemability by having him question what he was taught by his 'Sensei.' Either of these routes would be better than the inner child that is crying B.S. It neatly sidesteps all of the fact that Shigaraki canonically does not feel remorse or wish to change for any of deaths he caused. It is poor writing to try to redeem a character by throwing a pity party for them because they have suffered rather than addressing 'Do they want to be saved? Do they want to do better and change?' With Shigaraki, he wants to be saved from All for One but does he want to change or feel regret? Canonically, no. He uses Nomu's with no guilt. He kills people with no guilt. All he wants is destruction.
Don't redeem Endeavor - here's the thing. When Hori went down this route several things went wrong. Shoto lost his relevance as a main character and it became 'the Endeavor Show.' So instead, I would explore Shoto's POV growing separate from his Dad as well as reconnecting with both his siblings and his mum again as well as exploring their autonomous POV's. In canon, Hori scapegoated both Dabi and Rei to shift blame off of him which was a mess and muddles the messaging. Endeavor is meant to the symbol of the corrupt heroics 'redeeming him' undermines that.
Make Stain have a point. A controversial opinion but Stain in theory does have a point because there corrupt heroes (*cough* Endeavor *cough*) however the heroes Stain is shown to hurt do seem to be those he should like I.e Tensei Iida (who in the Spin Off Vigilantes is shown to be a good hero.) Give Stain targets that make sense I.e make a hero who is being corrupt, doing bad and being bad and have Stain hurt them. At the moment he just appears to hunt those that aren't All Might and dont emulate him.
Show Heroes / The Hero commission being corrupt more. Sure we have 'the optimist and murderer' Hawks as an example, Nagant who is in a few chapters but this corruption is meant to be a systemic issue. How the HPSC ruled and how the heroes have to bow to them is never fully explored I hate that (I actually wouldn't mind these guys being the actual bad guys of the series and the villians being the ones speaking out against them.)
I would establish Nagant as a character earlier. I would have Izuku be a fan of hers and I would have Hawks be mentored by her to support her place in the story and the impact of what happens to her by showing established characters effected by her and care for her. Since canonically it feels like Hori dropped her in the story out of nowhere.
Don't make Geten a Himura or reveal this earlier. Again. What was the point of this revelation? I could have seen this and been more open to it if it were revealed in the MVA arc. I would either have Geten rant maniacally about the purity and strength of the Himura Ice perhaps to parallel Endeavor's lust for power while Dabi stares at him shocked or not go down this route at all. Since now, it feels out of place and shoe horned in out of nowhere. And the incest stuff... I get that this sort of thing would happen in a world of quirks but what does it add? Rei is now canonically a product of incest - and what does that do? Narratively wise it nothing at all except give Rei's situation a whole other layer of ICK.
I would not give Dabi ice. What was the point of that revealation? His whole suffering comes down to the fact that he wasn't born perfect. That through Endeavor's quirk marriage he was born with a quirk that didn't suit his body and constantly harmed himself with his fire. Yet even so Touya used and continued to train his fire because Endeavor built up his sense of self as only his successor / how good he was with his fire then tore that away. Giving Dabi ice as a reaction to his near death state does what narratively? Shows Endeavor should have kept hurting / training Dabi when his quirk starts to hurt him? The whole point of Dabi's story should have been that he shouldn't have to be born "perfect" to be worthy of love yet the narrative robs him of that.
I would also either erase Dabi's kill count entirely or I would have it so that he accidentally killed those in the orphanage with his escape. And counted them in his 30 kills. This move I feel like would make him more sympathetic. It feels like Hori gave Dabi a kill count of random civilians to undermine him / his point against Endeav. Having him blame himself for the deaths of those in the orphanage (and them be a majority of his 30 kills) helps his redeemability because it proves despite his words that he still feels things and is in fact emotionally repressing things due to trauma.
Build up Toga Himiko as a sympathetic villian from the get go instead of a "Blood Yandere" or just make her a full irredeemable villian. With Toga from the start I would give her internal conflict about killing others, give her guilt about taking lives to feed her addiction to blood, make her try not to take lives /her killings accidental before she loses more and more of herself to the thirst for blood which then Ochaco could 'save' her from by reminding her what she wants is genuine connection/ help. Or I'd have her be a full unrepentant villian that needs to be stopped.
Explore the full consequences of Twice's death on the League and proper rammifications for Hawks. Or Don't kill Twice - redeem him instead. I like Twice, I feel like he's one of the best and most sympathetic villains Hori has ever written. Therefore I am miffed that canonically the League's feelings (outside Toga's) haven't been explored on Twice's death when they all, even Shig and Dabi, seemed to be fond of him at least. I am also annoyed that Hawks isn't even looked down on for this decision and didn't lose anything. No one is sideyeing him for deliberately stabbing a mentally ill man in the back? He gets his wings back despite Dabi burning them off? Or instead of killing Twice I'd have him be captured by Hawks instead and receive therapy.
Explore the process of the creation of an intelligent Nomu. I would either make Shirakumo 'alive' somehow being making Kurogiri an alter of him which the Doctor tortured out of him then brainwashed. OR I would explore Kurogiri's internal thoughts realising that he is a sentient corpse and exploring a full identity crisis for him, still wanting to be a hero and reconnect with his old friends but also wishing to save Shigaraki from AFO. That would be more powerful than what we got.
Give Nedzu, Momo and all the intelligent characters back their brains. Hori doesn't write intelligent characters well, everyone does what he wants them to do for the sake of plot. I would have them tackle the problem and put their characters first when they think things through and make the plot bend to them rather than vice versa.
Make AFO a proper threatening villain and a consistent threat or replace him as the main big bad. - Not sure how to elaborate but some of AFO's decisions in the recent arcs have been laughably stupid to the point of extreme annoyance. So I would either write him off after Kamino or keep him a consistent threat.
I would also explore Dr Giraki / Ujiko as a big bad alongside AFO and the horror of the Nomu condition. These are puppeteered corpses! People's dead bodies! And yet the heroes even upon knowing this are still kicking them around like volleyballs. There's no attempt to save the High ends even after realising Kurogiri's condition. So I would change that. I would have the heroes want to treat these creatures with respect. And only kill as a last resort.
Make Nedzu an actual character. Nedzu has a very interesting premise, a creature, who hates humans, with a very high IQ in charge of a school. Why is this? Because Hori said so in canon. I would actually explore why - does he actually want control and influence over how some of the most powerful heroes will turn out like - I think yes. So I would explore his morally grey tendencies and flesh him out.
Allow all the 1A girls to be both useful and intelligent. Momo especially has an OP quirk, an OP intelligent stat yet Hori never allows her to be as useful or intelligent as she should be. Jiro, Hagakure and Froppy also have OP quirks - yet they are under utilised and unexplored in what capabilities they could do.
Make Aizawa less of a bad teacher and more of a hardass with a heart of gold. (This will be an unpopular opinion.) I am firm in the belief that Aizawa's methods are deeply flawed and canonically he is not a good homeroom teacher at all. I would remove his 'expulsion record' (doing that would literally ruin lives even with the retcon of it only being on paper because that black mark would stay there.) I would change it instead so he moves the classes he deems to have no potential to Gen Ed so that there is no black mark nonsense and the students with potential could earn their way back into the course via the sports festival. I would change the "logical ruse" nonsense which would only breed trust issues in his students IRL to him being straight forward with the goals but having the activities have secret targets too (like the whole concept of hero points in the entrance exam.) I would also erase him falling asleep all the time because that doesn't support the notion that he cares about these kids. These changes would lead to him being a better teacher and would make more sense canonically as his teaching methods are meant to come from his trauma around Oboro's death.
I would either erase Aizawa's mentorship with Shinsou entirely or I would have Shinsou get further into the sports festival and earn his way into 1A that way. Canonically we see Eraser help and mentor Shinsou more than his own students (even the ones who actually need help!) So I would change this by removing the mentorship entirely or having Shinsou join 1A having earnt a spot via the sports festival and having Aizawa help him catch up with everyone else.
Shinsou. I would have him actually be treated as a villain in his backstory. I know we are all used to fanon Shinsou but canon Shinsou isn't abused. Isn't even really bullied bar from a rather justified wariness of 'that quirk is great for a hero. Just don't use it on me, ok?' Which doesn't inspire sympathy if anything it makes you wonder if Shinsou had believed he could coast into the hero course on his powerful quirk and is bitter that he couldn't do that. So I would have him be literally called a villain (literally have his quirks similarities to that of the villain Dictator be called out), I would also have him train outside his quirk to make him more sympathetic. Izuku did with his analysis. Shinsou canonically didn't train at all.
Tone down or Erase Mineta's perversions. I get this is a shonen so there is nearly always a character like this however with Mineta's 'comedy' Hori always goes too far and makes him appear like a budding sexual predator (thankfully he seems to be growing out of this in the later arcs but still.) I'd turn it into him trying and failing to flirt rather than groping people.
Have Midnight only make saucy comments to her peers - this I don't feel like needs further elaboration but the fact that Midnight had said she was turned on by things the students did (even though it's a persona) felt ick to me especially as this character is meant to be a teacher. I would explore her deeper as a character and juxapose her off duty 'more reserved' character vs the hero 'saucy' persona. And have her warn the girls about sexualisation in the hero industry 'women need to use their bodies / sex appeal to get ahead.' Which this new generation of heroes could change that.
I would either not kill Midnight at all or give her a heroic and impactful death. I hated how Midnight died off screen by a meaningless mook, only to be mentioned once again by Mic for Aizawa to shut him up about it. I hated how from here her relevance in the teacher OG friendship group essentially ended as Hori shifted focus hard to KurOboro. I hated how the impact of her death on the students that found her wasn't explored. Midnight died grievously injured and on her knees, Hori didn't bother to even give her a death scene. I would either not kill her at all or have her sacrifice herself heroically to save her students and fully explore the impact of this on everyone.
Explore the UA teachers / how they teach outside of Aizawa and All Might. The series is meant to be 'my hero academia' - So where is the academia? I would have some of the other teachers teaching styles explored as well as the students learning things that come in useful for hero work other than fighting. I.e first aid, villain psychology, quirkless hand to hand fights - all things that would come in useful as a hero other than being good with their quirks. I would also explore these teachers more as characters because I'd love to know more about Vlad King, Mic, Midnight, Thirteen, Ectoplasm and Nedzu.
I would have Endeavor always remain second to All Might. Endeavor in my opinion never deserved the number one spot, he instead deserved to fall from grace after being outed as an abuser. I would have All Might after losing OFA go full 'Iron Man Might' and remind Izuku that he showed Toshi how great of a hero he was without a quirk so Toshi is now taking inspiration from him and showing the whole of Japan how power isn't just from Quirks. It would show AM and Izuku's mentorship and the bond between these characters nicely.
I would either erase Nighteye from the story entirely or change his personality entirely and have him bond with Izuku over being an AM fan too. This I'm not sure if it needs explanation but Nighteye being a bad friend to AM, a bad mentor to Izuku wasn't needed. Aside from his role in Mirio's life and saving Eri he wasn't needed in general- especially not to bring down Izuku's already critically low self esteem.
Eri is too OP - it's narrative breaking. If she can rewind things why hasn't she rewound All Might back to his prime health? Why hasn't she given Aizawa back his eye and leg? Why has Eri only gave Mirio back his quirk? Can she rewind the dead? These are all questions Hori has left dangling because he couldn't be bothered to think of them before he thoughtlessly slotted her into the narrative. I would give her hard limits to her Rewind (such as only being able to rewind a few years or one part of the body at a time) and the drug that Overhaul uses be her power plus trigger to enhance it.
I would leave Mirio quirkless and have him be an awesome hero without Permeation. It would do wonders for the narrative if after losing his quirk Mirio kept working toward being a hero anyway. It would be interesting for both Midoriya and Aoyama to react to this. And for Mirio to have a big brother relationship with Midoriya.
I would give Izuku a proper support group. (I feel like this will be an unpopular opinion.) Class 1A should have been perfect for this role however Hori having them unite with Bakugou against Izuku in the 1A vs Izuku mess, Hori never bothering to develop 1A's friendships most people in 1A don't feel like Midoriya's friends. So I would change that and have them be more of a found family.
I would narratively foreshadow Yuuga as the UA traitor. Yuuga being formerly Quirkless and the UA traitor came out of nowhere. So I would foreshadow it by having him bond with Izuku over "being a late bloomer." I would explore his hesitancy to make friends through this too so Izuku and he would unknowingly bond over a shared Quirkless past. I would also have AFO explode him like he did with Nagant upon finding out Yuuga's treachery. I wouldn't kill Yuuga but this act would make the stakes much more personal for Izuku.
I would narratively develop Midoriya's family. We know so much of the Todoroki's yet so little of the Midoriya's it's criminal. So I would develop both Midoriya Hisashi and Midoriya Inko as people and show the impact of their parenting on Izu. Show Izuku calling his Dad 'overseas' . As well as drop hints about DFO (because I do like that theory but Hori hasn't built up to that well.)
I would tell the stories of the OFA holders instead of having them be plot devices. We know so little of the OFA holders, their motivations, their personalities it's criminal. So I would develop them and tell their stories of what it was like to hold OFA in their time as well as explore First as an actual character. What was it like for each of the holders in their time? Who were each of the holders to each other, all mentees and mentors or best friends, partners? Were any of the holders 'bad' or 'redeemed villains' it looks like everyone was all good which is a waste!!
I would give All Might a proper support group. Think about the people who know his OFA secret, Midoriya, Gran Torino, Nana, Nighteye, Nedzu, Detective Tsukauchi and Recovery Girl. Out of these people; Nana has tragically died in front of All Might, Midoriya is his successor and a child in need of his support and the other four (everyone else except Detective Tsukauchi) supports All Might poorly. (Especially Gran who AM is shown to be afraid of to the point of shaking!) Detective Tsukauchi is the only one who I think actually is shown supporting AM the most. So I would add more supportive characters to AM's circle (like Mic who is shown to be a very good, supportive friend and Inko who is Izuku's mum and is also shown to be a kind and supportive lady.)
I would keep the coherent clear problems in society such as Quirkless Discrimination and Mutant Discrimination shown throughout the story. Hori does a poor job with tackling his themes so I would show more how Quirkless (other than Izu and Aoyama are treated). I would also show Spinner taking offense when Dabi calls him "Lizard" as well as the Police chief taking offence when Shoto calls him a "Mutt." And have more instances like this.
I think this is all the ideas I have for now. Please let me know what you think.

So glad your request are open I love your writing! Here’s a request for you, Deku x fem reader where he’s out on patrol and calls his s/o to check up on her and she doesn’t answer, so he goes home and and sees someone holding the reader hostage and he saves her. Protective worried Izuku wins my heart every time lol
I definitely got a little carried away with this one. This request was a bit similar to the last one, so I took a few liberties, but I hope you'll enjoy it all the same!

The phone buzzed for a second time in his pocket. With a distracted sigh, he pulled it out, only getting a momentary glance at the caller's I.D. Your picture lit up the screen, and he couldn't help the smirk that pulled at the corners of his lips. He moved to answer it, but someone laid a hand on his shoulder.
"Deku, the negotiator just finished the call." Detective Tsukauchi said with a grim look. "Dynamight just arrived as well."
Izuku glanced back down at the phone and declined the call with a promise to call you back once this situation had been handled.
The command center that had been hastily assembled outside of the museum buzzed with activity. Officers had scattered about, all running orders and securing the perimeter of the increasing amount of curious onlookers. Evening had set upon them, bathing the area in golden rays blended with the flashing lights of the nearby cruisers.
Both men headed towards the back of a S.W.A.T. vehicle where Dynamight stood, grumbling about something to a man right outside the truck.
"Dynamight!" Deku called to his old friend as they approached, "It's good to see you! We'll not under these conditions, I suppose."
Hearing his name on familiar lips, he tensed, and turned to glare at the bright beam of a smile being shot his way. "Of course, you'd be here," was his apparent greeting.
"I'm glad you're here," Tsukauchi said to the feisty hero with a nod. "I'm sure you've been briefed on the situation at hand."
"Yeah, a bunch of rich ditz's got themselves kidnapped during their own fundraiser." He snipped, crossing his arms. "The idiots robbing the joint made a mistake during their little heist and decided to make things worse."
Tsukauchi cleared his throat. "Um, well, yes I suppose you could put it that way." Then he turned his attention to the man Katsuki had been talking to earlier. "This is Agent DeLuca. He's our chief negotiator tonight. He'll fill you in on the rest."
"Right," the older man nodded, looking between the three of them, "I've made contact with their leader. He didn't have much to say except for a list of outrageous demands."
"Outrageous?" Izuku asked, curious.
"Yeah," the man chuckled before turning serious. "They want a helicopter landed on that roof," he pointed to the museum, "five fresh pizza's waiting in said helicopter, along with four crates of top shelf sake. They want it all within twenty-eight minutes, or they'll execute their first hostage. And by my count, we have twenty-four minutes left."
"Pizza and booze?" Katuski scoffed. "What're they playin' at?"
"Twenty-eight minutes is a pretty specific timeframe." Izuku cocked his head. "And with those kind of demands It almost seems like they're waiting for something. Stalling."
The phone in his pocket buzzed again but this time he simply reached in and turned it off, mind swirling with possible theories. They had to be aiming toward a bigger goal here. What weren't they seeing?
"Do we have eyes and ears inside?" He peeked into the truck where a wall of screens shone through.
"We managed to patch through to the security system, but they've been hacked. They're just playing the same loop on repeat. We do have a specialist currently working on overriding it, but that's gonna take time." The detective rubbed his head while he explained. "From what we can gather, they still have roughly 18 guests and staff held hostage."
"And that quirk barrier is preventing anyone from getting in," Izuku murmured, examining the building. It emitted a faint purple aura. "I bet holding that up takes a lot of stamina. That could be why they were on such a specific time frame."
"Our men tried to get through." Tsukauchi frowned. "Anyone who touched that thing ended up numb from the shock. That's why you two are here. It might be possible to break through with your quirks. The only problem is alerting the captors."
"They said they'd start shooting the moment anyone stepped foot in that building. Agent DeLuca explained. "At the moment, we're in a deadly stalemate."
Tsukauchi's phone rang, and he excused himself.
Izuku pinched his bottom lip in thought as he faced the building. There were a few ways they could go about this. With Dynamight here, it should make things a little easier. However, he needed to be sure to keep the lives of the civilians as his first priority. So maybe if he-
"Deku," Tsukauchi grabbed his shoulder, pulling him from his ruminations. "Your wife is calling."
He blinked. You were calling again. When he instinctively reached into his pocket wondering how the detective new that, he paused, finally noticing the phone in his hand. Then he noticed the deep-set frown on his face.
A million questions scrambled through his head, but he locked them down in favor of taking the phone. "Hey, is everything alright?"
"Deku, listen closely," you said quietly. Your voice didn't sound right. A slightly slurred warbled edge.
had the baby hairs on his neck on end. "You're going to…to let the men in the museum leave unscathed. You will not pursue. Do this, and everyone gets -" You hitched your breath "- everyone gets to live."
A lingering silence pressed between the two of you. Your labored breaths a loud echo to his ears. It was wrong. So very wrong.
"Are you hurt?" He finally spoke, locking eyes with a concerned detective.
A shuddered sob answered him. It locked his heart in a vice grip to hear you so frightened. So vulnerable. How long had you been like that? How many calls did you try to make to him, and he simply ignored them all? Right when you needed him most. An equal flood of guilt and rage filled his veins. He could feel the sparks of his quirk begging to be let out in the wake of his anger, but he had to reel it in for your sake.
Behind your erratic panic, he could hear it.
The faint puffs of air around your own tattered breaths. Someone was there. Someone was there with you. And if he didn't act carefully, your life would be on the line.
"You have tw-twenty minutes to either s-save the innocent people in that building or come f-find me. There's not…there's not enough time to do both. If not…" you faltered before taking in a sharp drag of air and screaming. "Don't do it, Izuku! Save them! It's a trap. There's a-"
The call abruptly ended.
He stared at the screen. Too many conflicting emotions were battling for control to think clearly. Someone, a villain, had taken you. That much he was certain. There were more men than those five stuck in the museum. But it didn't add up. Even if there was someone from this crew working from the outside, there would simply not be enough time to plan something like this on the spot. Unless…unless it had been orchestrated from the start.
"Deku!" Katsuki snatched the phone out of his hands with an annoyed growl. "Get your head out of your ass. What was that about? You sayin' there's more of these losers?"
Izuku flinched at his words, not realizing he'd been mumbling.
"It's-she…they-" he locked eyes with Katsuki, "-they have her."
He straightened, glancing between the detective and Izuku. "Explain."
And so he did.
A nervous energy he couldn't quite tamper down ran rampant through his body. He itched to just take off and leave to go find you right then and there. But there was more to this than they realized, and if he ran headlong without forethought, it could put not just you but the other hostages in danger.
"That bastard!" Katsuki snapped. "They want to divide our forces. They think they can escape that way."
Yes, Izuku figured as much, but it still didn't change the fact that you were in some slimy villain's hand. He'd already tracked your location from the phone. It pinged from home, but whether you were still with it was up in the air. Those calls he'd missed seemed to be mocking him now.
He couldn't forgive himself for that.
You were calling for help.
You were calling for help, and he didn't answer.
You were calling for help, and he didn't come the one time you truly needed him.
What kind of lousy hero was he?
"Stop that," Katsuki slapped him upside the head, non to gentle either. "I know what you're thinking idiot. This isn't your fault. You just happened to be their target."
"What?" He asked, rubbing the back of his head.
"If they actually put a few braincells together to plan this thing, then it would make sense to have a backup plan. A failsafe of sorts." He tossed a glare towards the building before focusing back on Izuku. "They must've known your route. They must've planned for you to be in the area. What better way to take you out of the equation than to create your own hostage situation? Draw the heroes away."
"I believe Dynamight's got the right idea. They have more men involved than we thought. We'll need to revise our plan." Tsukauchi turned to relay this new information to the command tent.
"We're wasting time." Izuku turned to Katsuki, eyes wide and almost pleading. "I need to go. We're on a time limit. Whatever he has planned….I have to save her."
"You don't think I know that?" He scoffed. "I can handle things here easily. I bet those dumbasses didn't expect me to show up. My route doesn't fall into this sector."
Izuku nodded, grateful that he had arrived, then paused. "Why are you here?"
"Because I had to track down that bastard mugger that managed to escape through here. And if you thought I'd let you steal my crook, then you're dead wrong." He puffed up, daring Izuku to challenge him.
"First time a mugging actually worked in our favor then." He chuckled ironically and grabbed Katsuki's shoulder, his small smile slipping. "Thank you. I'll radio you as soon as I get her back."
"Yeah, yeah," he shrugged off his hand and shooed him away. "Now get out of here before I have to show you up again."
"Wait, Deku," Tsukauchi jogged back over, "I'm coming with you."
"I appreciate it, but I'm faster airborne." Izuku explained, impatience rearing itself in the form of a harried sigh.
"I know, but you're here under our jurisdiction. This kidnapping falls under that. I'm coming." He pulled out his keys and headed towards his car. "We can't rush into this without our own plan. Dynamight can handle things on this end, but i'm coming as backup. There are too many lives at stake here. If you barge in there with quirks blazing and emotions clouding your judgment, then it could spook the boss into doing something we'd all regret."
Logically, Izuku knew this. He did. But he also felt that overstored anger directing itself towards the detective. Izuku could handle a hostage situation. He's handled them before, and he most likely will have to handle them again. Then the rational side to his brain told him it would be good to have backup in case things did end up going wrong. Regardless, he couldn't waste any more time by arguing, so he simply nodded and got in the car.
The moment Tsukauchi started the car, he peeled out past the gathered crowd, straight towards Izuku's home. The same home he shared with you.

The house was silent aside from the low buzz of the television in the other room. It played some show Izuku had been watching earlier before he left for his evening patrol. A hero documentary he's made you watch hundreds of times already. You absentmindedly listened to it as you cooked dinner, making sure to make leftovers for him to reheat once he returned from work.
After making a plate for yourself and storing some in the fridge for him, you dumped everything in the sink for a soak with the intent to come back later to clean. The meal smelled good if your rumbling stomach had anything to say about it. Washing up your hands, you took your plate into the dining room where you could finish watching the show.
On the way there, the lights flickered overhead before the power went out. You paused, staring around in the darkness to see if it would come back on. With the television off, the lifelessness seem quite foreboding as you stood all alone. Left in the quiet of the apartment, you set the plate down and headed into the living room where your phone sat on the coffee table. A quick call to the power company should clear this up.
When you stepped into the living room, using muscle memory to feel your way to the coffee table, the lights suddenly flickered back to life. You blinked rapidly to readjust your eyes as light flooded your vision. Glancing around the empty room, you wondered what had made the power surge like that.
"Weird," you whispered to yourself as you picked up the remote to turn the television back on.
One look at the flatscreen, and you gasped, dropping the remote. A dark, murky shape loomed behind you in the reflection, and before you even had time to react, a sweaty hand wrapped around your mouth and pulled you right off your feet.
You were slammed down into the carpet with a hard smack to your side. The attacker didn't give you much reprieve as you were hoisted back up and thrown onto the coffee table, smashing a vase full of flowers and knocking everything off as he dragged you across the wood surface.
It took a few seconds for your brain to pick up on what happened, and you shoved your legs under his arms and kicked as hard as you could in the groin. He yelped and let go, stumbling back into the couch, clutching himself.
That defense only bought you a limited amount of time. You scrambled off the table and landed on your knees, still a bit disoriented. The phone had landed underneath it, undamaged, in a stroke of luck. Dropping to your stomach, you reached under and nabbed the device.
You knew exactly who to call.
The intruder's hands latched onto your ankle just as you gripped the phone. He pulled your leg so hard you were sure something popped out of its socket. You screamed and twisted over, kicking at him wildly.
He didn't bother trying to hide his face. The man towered over you. He sported a neatly trimmed silver beard with matching square eyes that drilled an icy glare into your own.
"Stop fucking moving!" He growled as you kicked his knee and he doubled over, releasing you.
"Get away!" you screamed out, scurrying to your feet and dashing around the couch in an effort to make it to the door. "Help!" With the phone in your hands, you dialed in the number. He could respond faster than any police. And you would just feel better hearing his voice.
The phone rang twice before it disconnected. There wasn't much time to think about it as you made it to the door. You turned the knob, but a much larger hand snatched your wrist at the same time. The door slammed shut along with your hope.
He towered over you for a terrifying moment before he rammed you into the door. Your body dropped to the floor like a sack of rocks. Pain seared up against your spine where you had impacted.
The phone landed out of reach, corner of the screen smashed. You just prayed it would work.
Still disoriented, you didn't react much when his burly hands seized your throat and easily lifted you off the floor. Panic set in. You didn't even realize what had happened until it was too late. When it did catch back up, you scratched anything you could reach in an exhausted effort to release the pressure on your neck. The only sounds that managed to escape were wheezing gasps that held no form.
Regardless of how this scenario ended, you knew it wouldn't end well for you. This man had strength on his side. Fighting him would be a mistake, so you had to figure out a way to escape. Or, at the very least, call for help. Unless you could reach your phone, you were screwed.
Slippered feet struggled to try to pry him off you. His fingers only seemed to tighten further. Black ebbed at the corners of your vision, and pain blossomed up your head. Thinking, let alone, fighting seemed nearly impossible.
As your swirling vision dimmed, your foot managed to connect with his stomach. You dug your heel in as hard as you could. The fingers around your neck loosened slightly, and the only thing you could think to do was bite down on his hand.
He yelped and threw you against the door where you slumped forward onto your knees, gasping for air. The phone sat within reach, but first you swung out, and sucker punched him right where it hurts most for a second time. He roared and fell backward.
You used the opportunity to dive for your phone and redial Izuku's number, praying he would answer quickly. With a tight grip on the phone, you launched to your feet, swaying dangerously as you stumbled for balance. That hit to your head did more damage than you thought. You were almost sure you had a concussion.
Turning to the door, you glanced down and your heart sunk. It had gone to voicemail again. What was happening? He always answered.
"You're not going anywhere!" He yelled, staggering back to his feet.
Shit. You couldn’t think clearly and wasted too much time stumbling around. Now, he stood between you and the door, giving you quite the death glare.
"Please, just take whatever you want!" you tensed as he stepped closer. "Just…please just let me go."
"That's kinda hard when it's you that I need, now ain't it sweetheart?" He sneered, grabbing hold of the collar of your shirt and twisting you around into a headlock. "Now come on, we've got a schedule to keep."
He squeezed hard, forcing you to shuffle forward, away from the door. He wanted to keep you here? Why? If this had been kidnapping, you were sure he would've taken you somewhere else. Why keep you here unless… Actually, you didn't want to think of those implications.
"Sit," he ordered, not giving you much choice as he shoved you into one of the dining room chairs.
You could try to run again, but you doubted you'd get very far before he caught up to you. And you weren't too keen on figuring out if he really wanted to keep you alive or not. He already looked pissed off as it was.
"What do you want?" you asked, hating how wobbly your voice sounded.
"I want you to make a call," he said, placing a hand on the back of the chair and the table, essentially trapping you between them, "to that little hero of yours."
He wanted you to call Izuku? That was strange. Usually, villains try to steer clear of heroes, not invite them to their crimes. He must have some plan to try to lure Izuku here to do who knows what. As much as you wanted him to come, you also didn't want to walk him right into a trap.
You steeled your nerves and glared up at him. "No."
"Oh, so you wanna play hero now, do ya?" He grinned. "Think you're ready to play in the big leagues, huh? Let's see if ya are!"
His hand moved too quickly. You nearly tumbled out of the chair as his palm struck your cheek. Aching streaks of pain weaved across your stinging skin.
"Don't test me." He leaned so close you could smell the tobacco on his breath. "You're gonna want to make that call, sweetheart, trust me."
He leaned across the table and dragged a large duffle bag into view. How long that had been sitting there, you weren't sure. You actually weren't even sure how he got into the locked apartment in the first place. It seemed a little late to worry about that now, though. With a sadistic smirk, he unzipped the bag and let you have a peek inside. It nearly made your heart stop.
"Now," He pulled out a stack of notecards from his coat and forced them into your hands. "Your job is simple. All you have to do is read these cards. Simple enough, eh?"
As you scanned the cards, your stomach flipped. Did he really expect you to read this? You were too distracted to see him pull out your phone until he grabbed your wrist and used your thumb to unlock it. He put it on speaker as the phone rang. It barely rang once before it went straight to voicemail for a third time. You were starting to worry Izuku had been hurt and unable to answer somehow.
"Hmm," the villain stared at the phone thoughtfully. "Guess he doesn't care so much about ya, huh?"
"Don't say that! You don't know anything about him!" You spit out, then bit your tongue, knowing you shouldn't stoop to his barbs.
"Well, I know he's too busy to answer ya darlin." He chuckled and dialed in a new number. "I'm sure the detective will be more willing to talk, yeah?"
Detective? You only knew one detective. It still struck you as odd that he would call the police on himself. But with the cards and what he had stored in that bag, you were starting to understand your role in all this.
The phone rang, and this time, someone did answer. You refused to say anything. It would be too dangerous to bring him here. Not with what he had planned.
That turned out to be the wrong decision as the man reached into his coat and brought out a handgun. He used the barrel to tap the cards.
"Deku," you whispered, glaring up at the criminal.
"Y/N? It's unusual to hear from you at this hour. Are you alright?" He sounded concerned.
"I…need to speak to Deku," you blinked hard. "Please."
A notable pause hung in the air before he hesitantly spoke. "…alright."
Tsukauchi was a smart man. One of the few who you thought could hold a candle to Izuku's analytical skills. If he could already tell something was wrong, then Izuku would pick up on it immediately.
Suddenly, his voice came on and threw you for a loop. They were already together? It must have to do with whatever these cards meant. It could be the reason he didn't answer. Izuku could be caught up in a case already. But the real question is how did the man know that, let alone know you would have Tsukauchi's number.
"Hey, is everything alright?" He sounded confused with a concerned undertone.
The cards shook in your hands as you scanned them again, debating just going off script. But with that gun looming in front of your face, you wisely decided to play nice.
"Deku, listen closely," you began quietly, knowing your voice had a slight quiver he would undoubtedly pick up on. "You're going to…let the men in the museum leave unscathed. Do this and everyone gets," those next words caught in your throat, "everyone gets to live."
They were using you as some sort of ploy to try to escape whatever situation this gang had found themselves in. Everything about this was just wrong. Now, Izuku would have to worry about rescuing you while also trying to do his job. You loathed every minute of it.
"Are you hurt?" His voice, quiet and low, betrayed the calm air he tried to maintain. A characteristic tone you've heard before. Anger and frustration just barely concealed.
The fact that he knew you were in danger filled you with a sort of relief that now he could finally do something about it. He could fix this. He always managed to fix things.
You tried to answer, but only a garbled sob of mixed syllables spilled from your mouth. It took you a moment to compose yourself again as the man huffed at you, tapping the cards impatiently with his gun.
"You have tw-twenty minutes to decide." More disturbing things were written, but you needed to warn him about what kind of trap he was walking himself into. "Don't do it, Izuku! Save them! It's a trap. There's a-"
The phone crunched in half under his brute strength and he threw it against the wall. Despite your very real fear, you managed to smirk at him. In hindsight, making a man with a gun angry was probably the worst thing to do in your situation. You learned that the hard way as he twirled the gun to his other hand and with a violent swing, he whipped the side of your head, knocking you clean off your chair.
Head throbbing, you clutched the gash just above your temple. A warm, sticky trail of dark red dripped down to your cheek.
"Got a loud mouth, don't ya?" he grinned and hauled you up only to drag you across the floor and dump your ragdoll form into the middle of the living room. You couldn't hide the panic as he knelt by your face, plopping the black duffle from the table next to him. "I'll just leave ya with a little present to greet your hero with. How does that sound. A nice parting gift."

The drive couldn't have taken any longer in Izuku's opinion. Even if Tsukauchi flew down the road, he still wasn't getting there fast enough. A few times, he had been tempted to just jump out and fly the rest of the way there.
He bounced his leg impatiently, glaring out the window as the silence seemed to permeate the air around them.
"We'll get her back," Tsukauchi broke the silence first.
Izuku turned his attention back to his phone. The three missed calls from you berated him each time he looked. He willed his leg to still, but all that pent up adrenaline didn't have any other outlet to escape from.
"This is my fault," he mumbled.
"No, it's not. There's no way you could have predicted this. No one could." Tsuhauchi sighed, turning sharply onto the next street. This was a conversation he'd had with the young man on multiple occasions. He was starting to understand how All Might felt, practically raising the boy through high school. "The only people to blame are the criminals responsible. You know that as well as I do. Thinking that way is only falling into their trap."
He made a noncommittal sound, turning back to obsessing over the missed calls. The rest of the ride was made in silence. Izuku had gotten so lost in thought that he didn't realize they'd parked until Tsukauchi opened the door.
Silently cursing, he blinked back into reality and got out of the car. The two of them headed for the apartment building. Your last known location was here. Though Izuku had doubts that you'd still be here. Most kidnappers took their victims to secondary locations.
They burst through the lobby, startling a poor woman taking her dog out for a walk. She jumped out of the way as they rushed past, yelping when she saw Tsukauchi's drawn gun. They paid her no mind, set on reaching their target.
Izuku took the lead. He raced up the stairs with a spark of his quirk, only stopping when he reached the right floor. Tsukauchi trailed up behind him at his fastest pace. He paused when the door came into view. Closed and undamaged. Whatever lay beyond might be an entirely different story, and it had his heart racing with fear.
"Take it slow," Tsukauchi huffed when he reached the last step. "We don't know what's waiting for us."
"I know," Izuku nodded, taking a spot in front of the door.
He signaled for the detective to take the side. Whoever was in there was sure to be expecting Izuku. He would have to act quickly. When they were in position he readied Fa-jin to break down the door with a strong kick of his leg, but the moment he lifted it, that sharp stab of Danger Sense screamed at him. He tensed and prepared to dodge whatever threat was coming his way, but when nothing came, he set his foot down, examining the door with a critical eye.
"Something's not right," he whispered, hand gently grabbing the handle.
The knob turned slowly in his hand and opened the door just slightly. Danger Sense lit up his spine once again. He drew in a sharp breath when he finally saw where the danger lay.
Opening the door any further could trigger whatever nasty surprise waited inside. He let go of the handle in favor of leaning closer to try to get a glimpse of the room. From his narrow line of sight, he didn't see anything amiss. He would need to see further somehow.
A shimmering line of wire ran across the entryway.
Trap, his mind so helpfully supplied.
"Here," Tsukauchi pulled out a small mirror with a telescopic rod attached. "Use this."
Izuku took it without question. The police had all sorts of gadgets at their disposal. He was just thankful Tsukauchi was here.
As discreetly as he could, he slipped the mirror partly into the doorframe. It gave him a full view of the living room. What he saw nearly made his racing heart stall.
The room was a mess. The coffee table had been kicked over, and the couch pushed off to the side to make room for the single dining chair plopped directly into the center of the disaster. The worst part was the person he cared for most sitting… no, tied to the chair. You were slumped forward and seemingly out cold. A gash in the side of your head trailed dark sticky blood down the side of your face and onto your shirt. Even from a distance, he could tell it was still wet. Still fresh.
You were draped in a throw blanket, which he found odd. It sent alarm bells off in his head. On the other hand, this entire situation was just one blaring alarm.
He was so close. All he needed to do was figure out a way to get to you without tripping any booby traps.
Angling the mirror down, he tracked where the nearly invisible wire led to. His eyes followed it across the floor and right up to you. It threaded under the blanket that had been wrapped across your chest. As he leaned in further to try to see you better, the door creaked slightly.
It caught your attention.
You stirred with a groan and when you looked up, he could see the duct tape sealed over your mouth. As you straightened in your seat, the blanket slipped from your shoulders.
He finally realized why the wire led to you.
"Tsukauchi," Izuku whispered, a slight tremble to his voice. "I need you to evacuate the building and…and call the bomb squad."
Tumblr media
It took a few precious minutes, but Izuku had exited the building and now stood on the fire escape, examining the window. Another wire had been threaded around the handle. If he lifted it, it could trigger the bomb. He would need to go about this carefully.
The only good thing was that the top part of the window seemed to be unaffected. After scoping out the interior, he'd come to the conclusion that the man had fled. A smart choice. If you strap your hostage with an explosive, you don't want to be around for the aftermath. A dumb choice to target someone Izuku loved. He'd find the man later, that much he vowed. Right now, he just needed to get you as far from that bomb as possible.
He took a deep breath and in one solid strike, he shattered the top portion of the window. That startled you enough to flinch in your seat, pulling the wires taut.
"Hey, it's alright," Izuku called out softly as he navigated through the window, careful of any more surprises. "It's just me. It's Izuku."
You deflated a little, nodding to show you understood.
The moment he landed, he carefully picked his way through the room until he came face-to-face with you. Your eyes carefully tracked his movement, wary of the various strings attached to the heavy vest you were wearing. He knelt in front of the chair, cupping your bruised cheeks. At the soft contact, you squeezed your eyes shut to blink away the tears.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. I'm right here," He kept his voice low and comforting as he offered you a small smile. "I'll get you out of this, I promise."
Then he dropped his attention down to the explosive. They had strapped you into a Kevlar vest with the clunky explosive sewn right into the fabric. The most worrisome thing was the clock. The numbers were steadily counting down.
Nearly four minutes left.
A time limit.
You did say he had twenty minutes to decide. Didn't the criminals inside the museum say something similar? They must've been working off the same clock. No wonder they gave such a specific time frame.
"Don't worry," he said, looking up when you made a muffled whine of a cry. "I've got people coming to help. People who can disarm this thing in no time." He glanced at the kitchen where you kept the knives. "I just need to get it off you first."
Your reaction caught him off guard. You wildly shook your head, careful of the wires pulling around you. He turned back to you, eyes wide, and hands held out in a pacifying gesture. You only seemed to grow more desperate, shaking your head faster.
"Hey," he laid a hand on your cheek to stop you and forced you to look in his eyes. "Okay, okay."
As you fought back your ragged breaths through your nose, he gently gripped the edges of the tape and slowly peeled it back. You winced as the tape pulled against your skin. The moment your mouth could move, you went into a panicked rant.
"You can't! You can't cut it," you cried, words jumbling over each other as you tried to push them all out at once. "There's a- a failsafe inside the vest. You cut it, and it triggers the bomb. It's the same for these wires," you eyed the wires all connected to various parts of the room. "Any of them pulls too tightly, and it explodes. But the time limit - oh my god, Izuku. It's almost up, I don't - there's no time! There's no time!"
He wrapped his scarred fingers around your chin to center your focus and shushed you before you could run out of breath. "It's going to be okay. I'm here now. I'll get you out of this." His eyes tracked over the vest again, scanning every part of it. He didn't want to tell you that the bomb squad would be at least ten more minutes. There was no time to wait for them. "I'll be right back. Trust me, I promise I'll get you out of this."
If your hands were untied, you would've reached out to stop him. Now that he had come, you were terrified of him leaving. He had a comforting presence that everyone had come to rely on as a hero. He always kept his word. If anyone could get you out of this nightmare, it would be Izuku. You just had to trust he knew what to do. Though the bomb strapped to your chest had built up a raw terror in your chest, making it hard to get even a solid breath in.
Izuku, true to his word, only disappeared for a moment before he returned, kneeling at your side with a knife. "I can disarm it."
Could he? You didn't want to doubt his skills, but you also didn't remember him ever working with bombs like this before.
"Didn't I tell you about those few weeks I spent with SWAT?" He smirked as if reading your mind. "Taught me all sorts of cool stuff." There was a hard edge to his casual tone as he pried open the front of the device to reveal the bevy of wires inside. "This was nothing compared to the kinds of stuff we did. I'll have you out in no time."
You nodded. It was about as much movement the vest would allow at the moment. You could scarcely believe a small contraption like this could be your doom in a matter of mere minutes.
"Izuku," you whispered, looking up at the ceiling as if that would put any distance from you and this death machine. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" He asked, eyes flitting up to meet yours before he refocused on the wires. "This isn't your fault."
Silence fell over the room as you absorbed that. Your fingers held a death grip on the arms of your chair, pulling against the restraints. It felt as if the room grew smaller. The beeping only seemed to be getting louder by the second. Panic had nestled itself deep in your chest, spreading throughout your body as the seconds passed.
"H-how much longer?" You dared to peer down at the clock, angling your head to try to see for yourself.
He didn't answer. You watched his fingers hover over the wires, subtly glancing at the timer but refusing to speak. In other words, not long.
"How much, Izuku?" you said again, gritting your teeth.
"Two minutes," he finally ground out. "I've almost got this figured out. I just need to make sure this one is- it should be…" he trailed off, as his finger followed where the wire connected.
Two minutes.
That wasn't a lot of time. You both knew that much.
"Izuku, I don't want you dying too. Please, just go." You warbled out, straining your head up to the ceiling again to try to stop the ebb of tears. "I don't want you dying for me."
"No one is dying tonight," Izuku chose a wire and locked eyes with you. That determination you'd grown so used to seeing cemented on his face. He looked so confident, you almost believed anything was possible. Hell, maybe it was in a world with someone as determined as him. "Are you ready?"
Drawing in a forced breath, you chewed on your lip and nodded. He hesitated for just a moment before bending the wire and cutting it with the knife. The two of you sat in complete silence, breaths held as he stared at the timer. The numbers stopped just before the minute mark, and relief sagged through his body.
"See, I told you I-" the words died on his tongue as the clock beeped twice and suddenly began counting down at double the speed. "-shit!"
"Get out of here!" You tried to shove him away with what little movement you had in the restraints, wires be damned if it meant he could still survive. "Please, save yourself! Go!"
"NO!" he pulled at the bundle of wires, muttering as his eyes darted between them. "I made a promise, and I refuse to break it! There's no way I'd ever leave you!"
He picked a wire and sliced through it. You squeezed your eyes shut with a whimper.
The beeping stopped again with eight seconds to spare.
Izuku froze, body tense as he stared at the machine, daring it to start again. After a few terrifying seconds, he looked up at you, wide-eyed and slightly shaky. He swallowed, setting his face into a more composed look as he offered you a small smile.
"It worked." He breathed out.
Those unbidden tears leaked from your eyes as you drooped your head froward with a heavy sigh of relief. All that terror that you were storing had nowhere to go. Every part of you buzzed with adrenaline. You were quite literally shaking in your socks.
"Hey," he set down the knife and found your chin. "Are you okay?"
"Still got a bomb strapped to me so 'okay' is a bit relative at the moment." You coughed a harsh chuckle out. Maybe it was the frayed nerves trying to find an outlet out of your system, but you laughed again, harder this time, your body just expelling all your emotions out in the form of near hysteric laughter.
"Uh, right," he mirrored your smile and easily unhooked all the wires connected from your vest to objects around the room. Now that the main trigger had been deactivated, these were just decorations. "I think I'll let the professionals handle this vest. They should be here any minute. But I can at least get you out of those restraints."
Using the knife, he easily tore through the tape to free your arms and legs. When you had freedom of movement again, you grabbed his sleeve and pulled him close, careful of the disarmed bomb on your chest. It was still an explosive, afterall.
"Thank you," you whispered, "thank you for not leaving.
He brushed the hair out of your face and placed a soft kiss to the crown of your head. "I told you, I made a promise, and I never break my promises." Then he pulled back to give you a pout. "But please, don't ever tell me to leave you like that ever again. I could never even think of doing something like that. I would never abandon you, you know that, right?"
The way he looked at you made you feel like you'd kicked a puppy. But in your mind, you just wanted to protect him, too. For the moment, though, you simply nodded and buried your face into his chest, knowing you were safe with him. That you would always be safe with him.
It took another six minutes before the squad arrived and another ten tense minutes with Izuku gripping your hand the entire time to safely remove the bomb. As soon as it slipped off, you rushed into Izuku's arms, trying to entwine yourself as deep as you could with him.
"What about the other hostages? The criminals, too?" you asked, twisting your head up to look at him. "The ones you were supposed to let go?"
"Kacchan, uh, Dynamight handled it." He assured you. "He didn't even need any help taking them down. I think they were counting on this scenario working in their favor. The hostages are safe, and the criminals are in custody."
"Even…" you pinched the fabric of his uniform between your fingers, dropping your gaze to stare at the stitchwork.
"We'll find him. I won't let him get away with this." He assured you, tightening his own hold on you. "But right now, all you need to worry about is getting some rest. Well, actually, we need to get this -" he ghosted his fingertips over the cut above your temple, "-looked at first."
"I'm fine." you waved him off.
"Yeah, you will be," he agreed, pulling you over to the medic who had set up shop on the dining table, just waiting for you. "Once we get you fixed up."
With a small sigh, you sat in one of the chairs, facing the medic. Izuku, who you still had a hold of his sleeve, moved to stand behind you.
"Are you going to leave? I mean, I guess you should. There are other people out there who need you too. And with this whole mess, I'm sure there's a lot of-"
The words were just spilling out of you now, and in the back of your mind, you realized you sounded just like Izuku. You only managed to stop when he bent over and lightly bumped his forehead against yours.
"Take a breath," he gave you a fond smirk, "I'm not going anywhere. Like I said, Kacchan handled it. The only place I need to be right now is by your side."
He stood hunched just inches from your face, and all you could do was stare into his eyes. There were so many emotions swirling through those big green irises, but the biggest one shining through was his sincerity. A solace you didn't realize you needed until just this moment. The warmth he emitted was so comfortable, and the sheer exhaustion from your ordeal had you leaning back into the chair with a tired nod.
"Okay, I trust you," you mumbled, pulling his arm down so you could hug it. "You're a really good hero, Izuku."
He blushed at the soft comment and glanced at the paramedic trying to busy herself with getting her supplies out, but even she couldn't help the little smile that played on her lips.
"She's right, you know," the medic chimed in, gently cleaning your cheek of the blood. "I'd say that was the work of a top-class hero. You should be proud."
Izuku rubbed the back of his head. Years in the field and still hearing something like that overwhelmed his heart so he decided to focus back on you. Your hands were interlocked with his and casually fiddlin with his bony fingers.
A lot that could have gone wrong tonight, and he knew he would be certain to go over every detail in full to make sure those mistakes would never happen again. Not if he was going to be a hero that could protect not just you, but everyone.
Right now, though, he put his analysis on the back burner and turned his full attention to what was most important.
You.

I truly think the writing of MHA is superior. Full stop.
But why do i think so? Let’s get into a part of it. The bubbly atmosphere that hides the “ugly/evil/dark” and just how twisted this story truly is.
Let’s start with the doctor.
the fact that the doctor Garaki (a play on the name Shigaraki that was originally AFOs) says this
Tumblr media
we see in Dabis flashbacks that they had MULTIPLE children they were grooming to be AFO heir.
Think about that again : the demon lord, a man who can live twice as long as another man (due to Garakis quirk) had this DOCTOR(who we know of as being a pediatrician bc of Izuku) KIDNAP CHILDREN AND HOLD THEM HOSTAGE TO CAPATALIZE ON THEIR TRAUMAS AND TURN THEM INTO A HOST BODY FOR AFO. They had a whole ass hide out where multiple children lived and were told to make it their own home. They didn’t even have names! CHILDREN!!!
That in an of itself, in reality in the modern world, is HORRIFIC! Imagine if today we learned that a pediatrician was kidnapping, grooming, and holding these children to make them “child soldiers” basically or an even better way to put it is toys for the powerful to do with as they please. WHAT THE FUCKING EVIL INCARNATE RIGHT?
NOW! think back to the two children that followed baby bakugo around and the wing quirk that was stolen. While simultaneously thinking about Kurogiri and the fact that Garaki was actually “hoping to get his hands on erasure” - so how did they get their hands on Kurogiri original body? Did they set up a situation where they knew one of the UA children who get hurt/killed and then waited to take advantage of the deceased?
I mean if we think about it, Giraki is quite literally ravaging these children’s bodies. VIOLATION ON EVERH LEVEL. and for what? for AFO? to get hands on quirks? for one person?
How far do you think they were willing to go to create the Nomu? If they are willing to use deceased children’s bodies who’s to say they hadn’t use live children’s bodies? ESPECIALLY BEFORE AFO WAS CAUGHT. WE SAW THEY USED LIVING ADULTS BEFORE?! is it that far of a stretch for them to try it on children? absolutely not.
MHA is dynamic. It’s about hope and friendship and love and family trauma and societal trauma and it’s also the most vile shit i’ve ever read. The way Bones studio portrays a bright blue sky is both irritating when not following the manga but also a HUGE FUCKING POINT! BECAUSE - we have all these amazing things we see, hero’s, quirks, friendship, family love, all the typical shonen stuff. That to me is the bright blue sky. WHILE COMPLETELY OVERRUNING THE FACT THAT ITS ALL BUILT ON BLOOD.
We know the big theme between Deku and Tenko is about the shit that’s pushed under the rug to make society livable for 75% of the population while 25% is left to suffer. (% is probably off). but if you really take a look at this theme and follow it along the path of the manga it’s TERRIFYING.
As a person who lives in the USA where our country is quite literally based in the suffering of the many for the luxury of the few it is CHILLING TO SAY THE LEAST.
NOT TO MENTION THAT AFO (if my theory he gave Tenko the quirk is correct) PREYED ON THE MOST VULNERABLE GROUP OF PEOPLE - THE QUIRKLESS AND CHILDREN
Izuku, Aoyama, and Tenko were all quirkless.
The writing makes it seem like it all just happened, but it didn’t. AFO meticulously planned every step out like he’s mentioned before but to AN UNNERVING ASS DEGREE BRO.
All For One needed a persons body who could still FEEL THINGS. BECAUSE HE CANT ANYMORE. or could ever? He has no real will of his own or real emotions or feelings. he is the true embodiment of “psychopath” (outdated term but helps to paint the picture)
I wouldn’t even think it’s a stretch to believe that AFO played a role in Kotaro abusing Tenko with what we just saw in the latest chapter. I mean they were like best friends? and it’s confirmed afo is the same person who dropped tenko off at home.
The sinister feeling of this manga as we continue to go forth is incredulous.
I didn’t even TOUCH ON the Dabi and AFO issue. I mean, how did he know Toya was on that peak? How did he know he would be there thst day? How did he know he would likely burn himself alive? How did he know about the abuse going on within the Todoroki family?
FUCK MY BRAIN THE CONNECTIONS ITS EVERYWHERE 😭

AU, where instead of going to UA, Shouto decided to be journalist, to spite his dad and for the love of conspiracy
Go Shouto! Live your best life!
Shouto started his own online journal called Reporteroki. It's full of conspiracy theories and hero gossip. Most people treat it like a tabloid, good only for entertainment. Nezu reads it religiously because there is a lot of accurate information hidden among the outlandish stuff.
Shouto's articles expose HPSC and hero corruption. He also successfully recreated All for One's entire backstory from the dawn of the age of the quirks. Before anyone in canon realized that All for One was still alive, Shouto figured it out and wrote about it.
Nezu is desperate to recruit Shouto and offers to enroll him in gen-ed. Shouto accepts so he can leave home and live in the dorms. All his papers in gen ed are dry and accurate.
Giran was desperate to recruit Shouto too, and he's salty Nezu found him first.
Dabi is a huge fan and writes lots of letters with his own conspiracy theories. (He has not realized this is his little brother's journal despite the name.) Dabi especially loves how the author regularly trashes Endeavor.
Izuku is also a fan because Shouto includes a lot of All Might articles to annoy his father. There is also an All Might spotting column.
Shouto is a big fan of Deku the hero. He writes admiring articles and he figured out that Deku defeated Stain. His article scathingly accused Endeavor of stealing the credit. (Yes, Izuku had to defeat Stain alone in this AU. He pulled through by manifesting the extra quirks inside One for All early.)
Reporteroki has a who's who section that casually reveals the identities of villains. Honestly if Shouto wasn't writing anonymously and living at U.A. then he would be in serious danger of retaliation.
Shouto figures out Katsuki's location first after he got kidnapped.
Shouto found the spy at U.A. shortly afterward. In fact he basically speed-ran large parts of canon.

I am seeing 3 ways how DFO will play out.
1. Clone theory version 1. Real AFO appears at the end of manga ,maybe by new appearance, and we hear his story. About how he wants to retire and this clone plan and etc.
2. AFO inside Izuku. (Most plausible for me) Behind closed doors is AFO. At moment Shigaraki steal other quirk from OFA, Izuku will awaken AFO. He will talk with AFO vestige and with power of OFA and AFO he will defeat Shigaraki. Finally brothers dream come true. AFO with his brother and son, and as Yoichi dreamed, AFO become the nicest quirk in world.
3. The least possible way. Clone theory version 2.0. and awaking AFO. Hear me out, i got that theory from watching Force Unleashed cinematic. After AFO is awaken real AFO appears. He hit Shigaraki, reveal his true identity to Deku, that he always wanted this moment come true, so he an rule together with his son and maybe kidnap Deku/Inko, or start fighting with Izuku/Shigaraki. I don't know...about that really. Seems least possible way.

I'd like to see some more MHA stuff.
Well, I do have one au where Izuku is basically Cruella DeVil, and one where he’s Regina George but with green hair
Izuku DeVil
Izuku remains quirkless, but he has the personality and fashion sense of the villain, Cruella DeVil, and enrolls in Yuuei’s Support Course design department
He’s WAY more confident when dealing with his bullies back at Aldera middle school, and on top of that, the left half of his hair is white and the right half is green
Even when Izuku didn’t get his quirk, his confidence never wavered. He just took one look at a quirkist, snapped his fingers and said, “You don’t exist to me.”
Inko ADORES her son, and will always take him shopping whenever he asks
Hisashi is still around, yay! And no, he didn’t cry when his precious three-year-old son critiqued his fashion choices
With her position as his official aunt, Mitsuki often brought Izuku with her to her small but successful fashion house so he could help her critique and fix any errors in the clothes made by the young designers. The designers were not at all expecting a four year old in a Gucci suit sipping apple juice out of a fancy glass to give them fashion advice
When it was announced that Izuku was quirkless at five years old, that only scared Katsuki. Because all this time, Izuku eccentricity and natural flashiness wasn’t powered by some dormant quirk. And he’s terrified to see how it’ll progress as he gets older
Izuku does this with his outfits, a lot⬇️
Tumblr media
He carries around a riding crop to emphasize all of his points
No one knows how he pulls off his dramatic entrances in such a secure school. When Aizawa was introducing him to class 1A as the new designer for their hero uniforms, he descended from the ceiling using an aerial acrobatics ribbon
Class 1A is also scared of him
Izuku: You all will become my personal projects.
Class 1A: …
Mina: Is it too late to run?
He adopted Neito and Shinsou on the spot. Neito shares his love of fashion, and he just kidnapped Shinsou and gave him a complete makeover. And that how friendship works
Those two are his Horace and Jasper, and help him with all of his schemes
Kyouka sings the Cruella DeVil sing every time he walks by
No one’s figured out why, but whenever Izuku sees a Dalmatian, he just stops and stares at it. His eye twitches and his hands look as if they’re trying to grab something. All it takes is a firm hand on his shoulder to snap him out of it, but no one’s quite sure why that happens
When the dorms are implemented, Izuku’s dorm gives his classmates some Gothic Victorian/Hell Hall vibes. The room is painted black with some hints of green, there’s a chaise lounge in the corner, a small canopy bed with curtains, an armoire filled with fur coats, and a sewing station with all of his materials
Katsuki often hides in the vents when Izuku is having… A moment. He urges his classmates to do the same, but they haven’t known Izuku long enough. So, they end up becoming his live mannequins
Whenever they cross paths, Izuku and Shouto just look at each other and nod. Many suspect it’s due to their similar hairstyles
Pony Tsuntori once pointed at him and screamed, “Oh my God! It’s Cruella!”
Shouto is up to his conspiracy theories again and suspects that Cruella De Vil is a quirk. Because, if people can have quirks based on animals, why can Izuku have a quirk based on a Disney villain?
Knowing his similarities to Cruella De Vil, people are terrified of the day Izuku gets his drivers license
Tumblr media
When they watched the Cruella movie during movie night, Class 1A wondered if Izuku has a tragic backstory like the title character
The day Tooru brought a Dalmatian pup into the dorm, Katsuki flipped out
Katsuki: Why did you bring that here?! You know how Deku gets around Dalmatians! He will turn it into a fur coat!
Sero: Relax, Kats. Izuku won’t even realize it’s here.
Ochako: Besides. He’s in the 1H dorm right now.
Izuku: *From inside the dorm* I sense a familiar canine presence!
Class 1A: …
Katsuki: … HIDE THE DAMN DOG!
Mean Boy Deku
Tumblr media
When Izuku is five and announced quirkless by his bitch pediatrician, he just rolls his eyes and goes back to sketching out some outfit ideas for his mother, saying, “Okay, and?”
Idiot: And, having no quirk means-
Izuku: Means a death sentence. I know. I can read newspapers, Tsubasa. I learned what an ignoramus was last week, and I’m sitting before a big one right now.
Inko: *Snickering*
When it’s announced by the teacher that Izuku is quirkless, the kids all want nothing to do with Izuku, and honestly, he’s fine with that. It shows who his real friends are… Which is no one, apparently. Even Katsuki is avoiding him
Izuku refused to hold his tongue. So, when the teacher tries to reprimand him for literally nothing he just says,
Izuku: Here are the five things wrong with your outfit. The sweater gives you a uniboob, that watch is too gaudy, the pencil skirt, those tacky flats, and that necklace is a desperate cry for attention. I’ll escort myself to time out, thank you.
Hisashi is a good dad in this one, too! Yay!
Izuku’s always had a bit of a mean streak, and no one is safe. Not his teacher, and especially not his classmates. He made his principal cry
When Izuku gets his first cell phone, he creates an Instagram account where he critiques the outfits of pro heroes. And one thing’s for sure, he’s extremely mean about it. But, he does gain quite a large following
At age ten, Izuku discovers the Pre-Quirk era movie, Mean Girls. He is enraptured by how Regina George and her fellow Plastics cause the other students such misery. His favorite scenes are those that involve the Burn Book
And, after a particularly bad day at school, Izuku storms into his room and pulls out a green binder he never used, along with a yearbook from last year. He cuts out a photo Tsubasa, and glues it to the first page, then writes, “Tsubasa is a moronic little brat who won’t shut his bitch mouth, and can’t do basic math to save his life.” He doesn’t stop until everyone in his class has a page
That’s Burn Book #1. In it, contained not only Izuku’s rants about the students and teachers at that sorry excuse for a school but also some secrets he’s sure they wouldn’t want to get out. What a shame that would be…
Izuku only gets more creative with his insults as he gets over, and has made about twelve students cry in one week
Inko: Sweetie, the principal called and said you got into a fight at school.
Izuku: I wouldn’t call it a fight. I simply pointed out that Daiki should invest in some cosmetics for those hideous pores of his. He’s the one who got all huffy about it.
Inko: As long as you’re using your words.
By his final year at the hell hole known as Aldera Junior High, Izuku’s own version of the burn book had become so full that he had to buy a second binder… And then a third. There was just so much to rant about the students and teachers, and he wasn’t just going to keep those thoughts to himself
Izuku: And just what the hell gave you the right to tell this entire room comprised of quirkist little shitheads about my future plans?” Izuku questions the man who shouldn’t even
Idiot teacher who obviously has a perm: Midoriya, that is no way to talk about your classmates.
Izuku: Oh, so they can call me a useless Deku, use their quirks to physically assault me, and tell me to off myself on a daily basis? Favoritism at its finest, you pointy-nosed bean pole. Lemme guess, grammy was discriminated against by quirkless folk during the dawn of quirks, and now you feel the need to lash out at me? Pathetic. You feel the need to harm a child just to feel superior. Or, perhaps, you were never loved as a child due to having the weakest quirk, so you take it out on me, someone without a quirk. That’s just sadder, you perm-using fuck
~Later~
Katsuki: Take a swan dive off of a roof and pray for a quirk in your next life.
Izuku: Okay, do you want me to quote that in my letter? I’m sure my dear mother and father will love to read that their unofficial nephew told their darling son to jump off of a roof simply for being quirkless. Katsuki, if there’s two things I’ve learned it’s that my legs look gorgeous in high heels. And that, I get a kick out of seeing the world burn.
Katsuki: ...
Izuku: Here’s what going to happen, honey. I’m not going to Yuuei with you, you’re stuck at Yuuei with me. I’m going to be a living nightmare for you while I’m in the Design department. Who knows? Maybe I’ll paint your equipment my signature shade of green. That way, you can think of me… Bye! *Leaves*
~Later Again~
Izuku: Oh, like hell I’m letting you touch me. *Pulls out a bedazzled pepper spray canister and sprays it into the sludge monster’s eye for about ten seconds until All Might arrives*
All Might: Excellent work, young man! I’ve been trying to hunt them down for days!
Izuku: As if I would let that thing touch my sneakers.
All Might: Well, even so, you seem to have the true makings of a hero.
Izuku: Flattered, but I prefer to make heroes look better, outfit-wise. Quirkless Quipster, at your service.
All Might: Wait… Aren’t your the boy who tore into my Silver Age costume and called it a disaster of epic proportions?
Izuku: It had to be said, sir.
Also, Izuku makes his first friend in years! Yay! It’s Momo! Yay! They became close after Momo commissioned a gorgeous dress
When it comes time for the Support Course Entrance Exams, Izuku discovers that he has quite the fan base among the hopeful students, who surprisingly don’t have a problem with him being quirkless
Power Load: ‘Cause in the Support Course, we don’t take kindly to quirkism
Now, according to some, Power Loader doesn’t have an “Eye for fashion,” so Midnight will be handling Izuku’s entrance exam (Which he passes)
So now, he's going to Yuuei. And Inko couldn't be more prouder. She gets so drunk, that she screams over the balcony for everyone to hear, "HEY, BITCHES! MY BABY GOT INTO YUUEI! SO, SUCK IT, FUCKERS!"
Hisashi: That's my pretty wife.
When it's announced that Izuku's going to Yuuei, Katsuki is having none of that and corners him in an alley after school while his lackeys keep watch. He threatens Izuku into rejecting his application, but Izuku is having none of it, and gracefully tells him to fuck off
So, Katsuki grips the sides of his head and activates his quirk. Before he can storm off, Izuku grabs his wrist and forces Katsuki to look him in the eye as his hair singes
Izuku: Transfer to Shiketsu. Transfer to Ketsubutsu. No one at Yuuei is going to let you play their reindeer games.
When he heads back home, Izuku shapes his hair into an undercut style. And when that's over with, he pulls a Regina George and puts his name in Burn Book #2
~The Following Week~
Izuku: *Crying* I-I found this in the bathroom, Tamaka Sensei. It says all sorts of horrible things about the students, teachers... You.
Idiot Principal: *Flips through the pages* What does this say? "Akido Hana is a..."
Izuku: Pasty snitch.
But, he didn't stop there. Izuku had made several copies of each page in the Burn Book and left them all over the hall for the students and teachers to find when the bell rang. Now, imagine that scene from the movie, but with destructive quirks
Izuku calls the police in tears and begs for them to come quickly as the school descends into chaos. He just walks out with a smile on his face
Aldera got shut down, police are investigating the Burn Book, and will be on their way to making many arrests until eventually, they just shut down the entire school district
During the first week of school at Yuuei, Izuku's first assignment was to watch the Battle Trials from the observation room and make ten critiques for each outfit. Instead, he has ten pages for each outfit. Actually, he has fifteen for Katsuki. Nedzu is impressed, and Power Loader is afraid
When Aizawa introduces him to the class and explains that they will all be a part of Izuku's design project, Izuku makes it very clear that the only person he likes is Momo. The rest? He doesn't like or trust... Yet. He's especially not fond of the "Bakusquad" that's starting to form. To him, they're just the Yuuei versions of Katsuki's lackeys
Uh, what else?... Neito, Mei, Momo, and Shinsou are his most trusted allies
Neito has full access to Burn Book #4, Izuku and Momo give Shinsou a much-needed makeover, and Mei gets a kick out of making Katsuki's gauntlets the same green as Izuku's hair

I’m about to share my unpopular opinion here. Bakugou’s kidnapping should have been the beginning of the end of his hero career, his fall from grace.
Why?
Because the literal scum of Japan view him as one of them. They saw themselves in a hero student.
That should have been enough to get the (trashy irresponsible neglectful) faculty to do some investigations into Bakugou’s behavior and reflect on how much let let him slide without consequences.
And let’s face it, even with Aizawa vouching for him, social media is a place where scandals, incidents, theories, and opinions thrive. We were already introduced to the world of journalism in MHA when the camera quirk journalist wanted to do interviews with class 1A students and how they were willing to breach UA’s security defenses when they heard All Might was teaching there. So it wouldn’t be far fetched to assume that journalists would be interested in an inside scoop.
Articles, meta analysis, and social media posts would be likely to surface, all commenting on how villains sympathize with a person who is supposed to be an aspiring hero, before they all reach the same conclusion; the sports festival.
Disdain would follow soon after. Because to the general public, the LOV targeted Bakugou because he very much acted like a villain. And then things will slowly begin to make sense.
I know this seems like reaching, but I find it very likely for UA to be blamed as well. Not only for the kidnapping taking place but also never stepping in or making any progress in shaping Bakugou up. People will see this and begin to wonder ‘How many villain hopefuls is UA responsible for creating. This will lead to UA having to change policies. To what exactly, I’m not sure.
But one conclusion is clear, either Bakugou is put on academic probation until a police investigation is complete (Again, this is a student who villains thought would make a great addition to the team. That should have been taken more seriously other than a gloss over by Nedzu), or he is removed from the hero course all together.
Either way each result will end in the same way, Bakugou’s reputation would be in shambles (if it wasn’t already due to the sports festival), no one would be able to trust him, and his PR would crumble before it even started. And PR ratings are an extremely important part of heroics that people don’t give enough credit. It doesn’t matter how strong, skilled or smart his is or how much potential he has. A poor PR rating is enough to keep him from rising through the ranks. So his dream of being number one will likely never become a reality.
This incident will very likely follow him for a long time. Even if the hype dies down, any wrong move cause him to lose everything. Let’s be realistic here: we all know how prevalent cancel culture is around the world right? Well, I think it’d be the same situation Bakugou finds himself in. The media will likely watch him like a hawk. Waiting for a mistake or slip up. At any given moment, Bakugou can find himself cancelled just like that. It’s like a metaphorical sword above his head.
On the topic of his friendships and how the class perceives him? I don’t think they’d think badly of him right away. I mean they were all worried about him and some were actually willing to save him. But, they’re bound to be exposed to some mainstream media. They’re teenagers, so they probably have a lot of social media exposure. Just imagine the realization and then the horror.
I’m not saying hear me out, but hear me out.
This is a theory I honestly 100% agree with. Either his kidnapping should’ve ended his hero career or it should’ve properly set up his redemption story. Instead we got Kacchan vs Deku 2, where Katsuki missed the point of why he was kidnapped and was given pep rallies by All Might and Izuku even after he literally took someone outside to beat them up so he could feel better. He would then miss out on an asswhopping that would’ve humbled him greatly in the name of “punishment”, something that Izuku also received after defending himself yet conveniently he still had to fight Mirio. All in all, the aftermath of his kidnapping was handled horribly and should’ve either ended his career like you’ve said or should’ve been written much better.

I've seen a lot of theories on why Deku is afraid/in denial of love, but out of curiosity do you have any theories?
I’m gonna be completely honest, I more enjoy reading other people's theories than making my own up, so I’m just gonna talk about some (probably) already existing theories and add my two cents:
Izuku is simply mistaking his love for admiration. We all know that Izuku is extremely sharp and observant when it comes to quirks, battle strategies, and everything hero related. However, he’s not this sharp when it comes to romance. He’s emotionally intelligent, but only in emotions specific to hero work (anger, fear, guilt, etc). In Izuku and Katsuki’s fight at Ground Beta, Izuku brings up how even though All Might was his hero, Katsuki was the one who was actually there. He’s placing both All Might and Katsuki in the same category—the category of admiration. He’s placed Katsuki in this category his entire life, so he’s inclined to keep him there. He hasn’t yet realized that what he feels for Katsuki runs deeper than the fanboy admiration he has for All Might.
He’s afraid of the consequences of being in love with another man. We’ve seen some situations of LGBTQ+ representation in MHA, but we haven’t really seen how same-sex relationships/feelings are viewed by the public eye. There’s always the chance that Izuku is aware of his feelings, that he knows that he’s in love with Katsuki, but he’s scared. Scared of how people will react if they find out. Would they be open and supportive? Or would they be disgusted and closed-minded? Sure, friends aren’t forever and if they’re toxic he can cut them off, but what about his mother? What if she doesn’t accept him? Or even worse, what if Katsuki becomes grossed out by Izuku and ends their friendship right then and there? Izuku wouldn’t be able to handle it.
He thinks that he’ll only hurt Katsuki the closer that he gets to him. First, Katsuki gets kidnapped by the League of Villains at training camp. Izuku goes after him to rescue him, revealing to All For One that Izuku cares enough for Katsuki to come after him. Then, the war arc. At that point in the story, Katsuki and Izuku have definitely gotten closer. They’re not the best of friends per se, but they’re on much better terms than before. Katsuki then proceeds to get stabbed protecting Izuku. Izuku, seeing the person he loves getting hurt, goes fucking berserk. You all know how well that goes down. When Izuku wakes up from the coma, he avoids Katsuki and only leaves a letter. He knew that if he were to tell Katsuki his intentions of leaving in person, Katsuki would try to stop him, or worse, decide to come with him. Vigilante arc begins. Then you get to the oh-so-infamous apology from Katsuki. Under different circumstances, Izuku would have been more than thrilled at this change of heart and would have tried to actively get closer to Katsuki. However, in the circumstances of the war and All For One, Izuku seems to do the opposite. It’s like he’s trying to distance himself from Katsuki so Katsuki doesn’t get hurt because of him. So you can imagine the pure agony that Izuku’s in when he sees Katsuki’s (at this point still) dead body. He knows that if he lets his emotions and feelings for Katsuki take the wheel, he’ll lose the fight. He’s trying to distance himself from his feelings because he’s aware of how intense they are.
And yeah, that’s it lol. I’m like 95% certain that these theories have been discussed in much better detail/with much better evidence than this, but this is just my personal take on them :)

"I kind of subscribe to the theory that Bakugou will be his last stop - although Bakugou won't kill a kid - but I guess he could stall him until he reaches the point in his life when he got his quirk.
It's interesting, because getting a quirk also distorted Bakugou." Uh, hello?? OP???! THIS SOUNDS SO INTRIGUING. Yoooo 👀 AFO obsessed with immortality, living for decades, rewinding, a reverse danse macabre, each stage of his life, until the origin, and Bakugo! Those kinds of self-reflective, tell-it-to-the-other-person roles fit well with him, he's done it before, very suitable and makes me so hyped. Great finale, the kid he kidnapped before, Deku's greatest enemy, and just the intensely quiet look and deep perspective Kacchan brings when he's being philosophically victorious.
I'm just obsessed about this panel of Bakugou's first drop of explosive sweat and Deku saying that this was the moment he started down the path of "bad".
Unless AFO got his quirk as a baby, maybe he also had a moment before his quirk irrevocably changed him and his corruption started.
I keep thinking that maybe AFO going back to pre-quirk childhood, he can go out listening to the end of the comic he didn't read to the end.
Anyways - I really don't want Bakugou to kill a kid, no matter how evil.

BNHA 363 SPOILERS/DISCUSSION
Okay I’m probably gonna post this later bc I won’t get it all written out now bc I have work in an hour BUT
I’m absolutely, positively 100% convinced Bakugo is coming back.
Now, I’m torn to say if he’s actually dead right now or not. My opinions on that have been changing.
HOWEVER.
Think about it. Think about the narrative of his story. Horikoshi, for literal years, have been pushing for more content between him and Deku. He set them up perfectly for a hand hold scene (shown by the various flashbacks and reminiscences of that scene by both Bakugo AND deku). He set them up for a heart to heart (they haven’t been shown to discuss bakugos apology yet. Now this either happened already and will be shown in a flashback OR is yet to happen) and horikoshi has also set them up to win together.
Horikoshi himself said that the ending of Heroes Rising is what he initially imagined for the ending of BNHA. He then said the actual ending is going to be better than that.
Now if you’ve seen heroes rising, you know (shipper bias or not) it’s a very bakudeku film. It HEAVILY focuses on them and how they have developed. Now. If hori had planned for that ending to be the true ending, WHY WOULD HE KILL ONE OF THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERS OFF?
Answer; he wouldn’t!
Horikoshi wants us to panic. And with what’s going on with the villains in the recent chapter, I think it’s happening. Monomas reaction is perfect; once upon a time Monoma mocked Bakugo, but now he looks back and reflects on how much he’s grown. He shows the audience how much people were relying on Bakugo. And now he’s gone.
And now he’s gone, the villains are advancing. THIS is the panicking hori wants us to do. Even the heroes are devastated; they lost one of their best players. It’s not looking good for them at all.
However.
When Deku arrives, this is where the story will reach a pinnacle. Deku will believe Kacchan is dead, and he will lose his shit like we’ve never seen before. We saw his reaction when Katsuki got kidnapped- how is he gonna react when he dies?
I know a lot of people are hesitant bc about a year ago, Horikoshi said we had a year left of the manga, but come on. He could’ve planned stuff perfectly, changed his mind, swapped parts around. For all we know, we could have ANOTHER year until it finishes. We can’t tell.
Fret not my friends. Horikoshi has set this up perfectly. He wouldn’t kill his best player off with so many lose threads around his character. We’ve got a way to go, and Bakugo might not be back for a long ass time (I’m thinking not at least for ten-ish more chapters). But he’s coming back, and it’s gonna be for the conclusion of bnha.
(A lot of people on Twitter have been theorising the final fight would take place in the vestige realm!!! I love that theory and while I’m not sure how naturally Katsuki would fit it, I would love for that to happen)
Sorry for the ramble. I feel very strongly about this character so people saying he’s dead for good makes my brain hurt.
Lots of love friends!! Stay hydrated, take time off and take care of yourselves!!!

Worst case scenario for bakugou –
He takes a step back from being a hero, maybe his parents have like a sentimental moment (to compensate for the scene where mitsuki was "ab*sing kathski" as some people put it) kinna like a "take a year out from school, heal mentally and physically and take a much needed break?
Or even he is just seriously injured, manga ends possibly time skip and then he has a scar and other things but he's still a hero but not as brash?
Sorry -- but I'm baffled on how he's not the main fucking character. I mean...his character arc/development is so good it literally cannot end like that???
No disrespect to midoriya or midoriya stans but gahdamn....the shit bakugou has been through and the lessons he's learned?!?! I feel like he's come a long way and has been humbled enough but...this?!?
I read a theory on Twitter that someone thought of: Kaminari uses his quirk on Bakugou to jumpstart his heart if he actually....
LET ME STOP BC I CANT. HE CANT GO OUT LIKE THIS. HES LITERALLY MY FAV CHARACTER OF ALL TIME I CANNOT. HOW WILL I WRITE THE SAME? I'm not even joking idk what I'll do. Horikoshi better fucking NOT.
I could make a whole post on why I love Bakugou sm and how he's such a strong character not only physically but mentally. Sm happened to him yet he's still fighting to be #1. He was humiliated on live TV, kidnapped, ALL MIGHT DIDNT GET HIM OUT ON TIME SO HE WAS IN A 7v1 AGAINST THE LEAGUE.
7 v 1!!!!!!!
He blames himself for all mights end. Meanwhile all might and deku are two peas in a fucking pod- and everything finally came out in the end but STILL.
Bakugou Katsuki is top tier and my comfort character. I don't know what I will do if Horikoshi ends it like that.

You 🤝 Me at that Bakugou Post
You have opened a can of worms. I'm so sick of people denying the truth, and the truth is that Bakugou has always been flawed, dumb, and, frankly, kind of a loser. He gets punished by the narrative for said flaw of being dumb and not thinking regularly. And that, dear Goofy, is why I adore him as a character. I embrace the punching bag-ness of his story arc. The man is a comedy show's worth of odd karma waiting to happen. Man could be one of the impractical jokers.
My evidence is as follows to my theory, manga spoilers ahead:
Tells Izuku to swan dive w/o thinkin -> instantly is called out, gets caught by the sludge villain, has to be saved by said loser shitnerd he told to die along with his literal idol while he's covered in sewer goop. Also because he got saved by shitnerd, shitnerd now has his idol's quirk.
Top score in the entrance exam -> speaker of sports festival/people scout out their class -> says something dumb and impulsive -> instantly makes everyone hate him and as a result his entire class.
Denki said his personality was hot trash and nobody liked him. The class just kinda agreed??
Big power gauntlets to boom with -> almost kills izuku without thinking bc 'he'll dodge' -> is stalled, outsmarted in the end, and fails his first exam.
Yeah he won the sports festival but he also won because the other guy wasted his strength with loser shitnerd. Also because he's raging, they put him in a muzzle. Like a dog.
Final exam. Against Toshi. With Izuku. Spends too much time arguing and decides to go off on his own. Gets punched into the letter C for going in with no plan and being an idiot. Has to be saved by Izuku. Again.
Winning the sports fest on a technicality -> throwing a tantrum and being muzzled -> getting targeted for kidnapping and going off on his own -> entire class is injured, hero loses a quirk -> his idol losing his ability to fight/ending his whole career AND having to get saved AGAIN.
Got chewed out by his mom for threatening her. In front of All Might.
Develops an odd relationship with Izuku n All Might, accidentally becomes son-in-law
Gets to take license exam early! -> is too aggressive and doesn't get it. Deku does though, as does everyone but him and the guy he won against in the sports fest -> while everyone is dealing with the yakuza he's babysitting kids and learning to cool his temper. Shoto now thinks they're besties. He's befriended more idiots.
Gets his license! Misses the entire arc, a man is now dead. He's falling behind.
Goes to an island! Saves the entire place and potentially the world, gets to use All Might's quirk -> forgets all of it and only has broken bones. OFA said 'no we wanna stay with Izuku'
Interns with the number 1 hero -> It is endeavor. Izuku is also there. Shoto invites them to the worst family dinner ever.
Loser boy has MULTIPLE QUIRKS?? and they got triggered bc someone insulted him? That's embarrassing. Now he's gotta go to secret quirk meetings because like it or not, he's involved now.
Gets a quirk upgrade! -> is instantly impaled by shigforone bc he moved without thinking to save Deku. -> announces hero name in dying breaths without thinking -> everyone makes fun of it. Even the villains.
Awakens from a coma to ambush Izuku. He's run off to become a vigilante. has to chase him down in the streets and have an entire army restrain him and he only comes home when he BARES HIS SHAME to him. In front of their entire class.
GETS ANOTHER UPGRADE. GETS IMPALED AGAIN. BY THE SAME GUY. DIES THINKING OF IZUKU. AND IT DOESNT EVEN STALL SHIGGY OR STOP HIM.
COMES BACK TO LIFE, RIPS AFOS ARMS OFF -> Calls himself "Kacchan of the Bakugous" on a live broadcast. Is actively fighting with a hole in his chest. Probably dehydrated and delirious. Has a JEART.
Quirk upgrade -> it comes from the fact that his body is in so much pain. The more it hurts, the stronger the boom.

Some ppl are 100% certain that All Might (AM) is gonna die 😆. And while I think there is a big possibility that he could die, because I think he and AFO are gonna end each other, Hori could be setting up for plot twist where he survives. However, I think there is no way AFO is making it to Izuku. He is not his villain.
There is also this possibility that I feel conflicted about, and it is that Bakugou joining AM fight and saving him. Sure, it beats him lying dead throughout the entire fight, but Shiga is his villain just as much as he is Deku's. And maybe even more so since he kidnapped Baku, stabbed him, almost killed him during previous war arc and actually killed him this time. While you could argue that my last 3 points were done by ShigAFO, my point stands. Bakugou needs some closure with Shiga, they have history.
Anyway in terms of AM, I think there was a point where his death would have made a difference in the story and could be interesting but rn I am like meh. Not because I don't like AM, original bkdk believer I love him to death 🧡💚, but his death is not necessary at this point in the story.
I mean even Gran Torino lived and we (including me) were so certain he was gonner so🤷‍♀️. Maybe they can make AM faint after the fight and have him wake up in the hospital.
In terms of Shiga fight, I am almost certain that bkdk will fight together. The reason being the 5 min time limit that Deku has. Many argue that it has been more than 5 mins but I don't think so. Sure, for us in irl it has been months but in BNHA time, I think it is less than 5 mins.
People might say but how come we have seen Togachako and Tsuyu stuff, we have seen Kiri fight and Todo fight etc so there is no way it has not been 5 mins already. But here is my theory, the story telling is not linear. Everytime we change POV we are going back in time.
So in term of Ochako and Toga fight and her running after Toga, I think that happened right after Deku left them. So that was during the time Deku was trying to get to Shigaraki and Bakugou was still fighting Shigaraki. That fights connects to AFO fight which again imo was all happening before Bakugou died.
Then there is the Kirimina fight and then Kiri and Shinso ending on top of Giganto. That Kirimina fight happened right after they thought Todoroki "won" against Dabi which means it happened way before Bakugou died and Deku was still with Toga and Ochako. And then Kirishina and Shinso ending on top of Giganto Machia happened right after that which is again in my theory way before Bakugou died.
Then we change POV to Iitodo and started off with Dabi leaving. Which again these events that we see right now were actually happening during Shigaraki, Bakugou and others fight. This might make sense with Baku seeing AM when he died because maybe when Bakugou "died" AM's fight with AFO may have concluded which could mean that AM died during the fight. 🤔
Again I am not sure how AM fight will end all I am saying is that there is no reason to kill him at this point in the story. But I might be wrong and he could be the key to something 🤔. Maybe Deku will lose his shit again but this time Baku calming him and helping to control his heart. We'll see 👀
Anyway in conclusion I am not sure about AM's faith but I am pretty sure that AFO will never make it to Shiga fight and Bakugou will be back to fight. I am saying I am "pretty sure" but in the end I am just speculating so please don't quote me on that if it doesn't happen😭.
I also do not think that Shiga will die, however, both Bakugou and Deku will get some type of closure with him.
Then once this fight is over we will probably have a time jump where everyone is pro-hero. Some ships might be open ended but I don't think anyone will end up married.
The end.

BakuDeku THEORY
SPOILERS
Ok. Here me out.
I’m not saying it’s right or okay for what Bakugou did to Deku. Not at all. But. Their relationship has improved with Bakugou apologizing.
In the anime, Bakugou clearly is angry all the time. But with a careful eye, you can see not everything he shows is hatred, he just believes it is. Emotional immaturity.
Deku is emotionally… also immature but better than Bakugou slightly. Bakugou admits in the manga, that he was jealous of Deku for being quirkless and still determined to be a hero. That he was starting to move without Bakugou in the lead.
When Bakugou “thanks” Deku for saving him from the slime villain, you can tell he’s struggling with his pride and trying to act tough. Because really, he did feel bad. Not just because Deku, a quirkless no one just saved the great and powerful Bakugou Katsuki. But also, he did it and didn’t rub it in his face. He risked his life to save him in a situation that Bakugou probably knew he couldn’t make it out himself in. If it wasn’t for Deku, he could have died.
As the story continues from there, you start to see more emotions from Bakugou as he tries to face that quirkless, weak, Deku is now independent and strong Deku. He was straying from Bakugou’s shadow. That was making him panic.
He realized he no longer has complete control. After the kidnapping, Bakugou saw Deku, destroyed from fighting with Muscular, still attempting to save him. And by his expression, you could tell, he hoped Deku would make it in time.
Slowly through the story, Bakugou is seeing Deku grow into an independent person, which makes him feel behind. When the two fought, he told of how he was struggling. All Might’s relationship with Deku, the sudden quirk, it all just was rubbing him the wrong way.
But when he found out the truth, he calmed a bit. Not completely, but a little better. He no longer had emotional breakdowns from him. Instead, he tried to aim high than Deku and took it as strength for a challenge.
Bakugou eventually apologized to Deku in order for Rogue Deku to come back to UA and stop hurting himself. But he did mean it. And he started to help Deku train. All Might even asked him if this was his way of regaining Izuku’s trust after the bullying, his way of atoning. Which, he confirmed. Knowing he feels bad, recognizes the mistake, and is trying to fix it is already showing major growth. The way he was watching Izuku train in that scene tells me he really struggles with that fact.
Then, when the war arc is started, and Bakugou dies, the entire chapter he never said “Deku” he said “Izuku” and no matter what, the whole chapter was saying good things about him. While he was fighting to the death, he couldn’t help but admire Izuku. That’s where he got his strength. Then the last remark about the game card that he wanted All Might to sign, he got with Izuku when they were still friends. And maybe, that had always been something he kept of Deku. When he started bullying him, I believe he still held the memories with him in a good way.
There’s a theory of him being mean to Deku because of him trying to protect the “weaker” person. And he got mad because Deku wasn’t accepting it.
Also of him being jealous of his friendliness so he tried to keep people away from him, keep him under his control.
And though Izuku said the name Deku was given as an insult, maybe it wasn’t a clear message. For instance, he actually thought of Deku as a compliment but turned it around using word play to make it sound like he was useless. Plus, he names all his friends degrading nicknames. Shitty Hair, Dunce Face, Raccoon Eyes, etc. So the fact he gave Izuku a name that was degrading might also be his way of saying they were friends. In his own way.
There’s a lot of reading in between the lines with those two. We don’t actually know if being diagnosed quirkless was why Bakugou started to bully him. It could of been they had a fight, or a rumor, and the timing just matched up. We don’t know. And if the author doesn’t tell us, we’ll never know.

How would the senecio aged up villain deku be like with a female s/o who is a full time teacher for kids with bad grades or troublesome students who they actually like their teacher and when villain deku kidnapped s/o she agreed to be his under one condition that he must not harm and protect her students from other villains or killers and anything that will cause them harm? (Sorry if it’s to long😅)
It's A Promise
Author's Thoughts: No its fine hun! I love some details, don't worry! And I got you!
Warning: Cussing, Murder Mention, Stalking, Death Mention, Kidnapping, etc.
Tumblr media
He'd been watching you for the longest.
You first caught his eye during a fight with a hero. Izuku had flung a car at Bakugou. He dodged it, but behind him was a kid in the way. And Bakugou couldn't get to him in time.
That's when you came out of nowhere seemingly. You just barely saved the kid, tackling him out of the way of the car. You wrapped your entire body around him, making sure to take all of the pain.
Just like that, you caught Izuku's attention. But you barely glanced his way, instead quickly standing and running off with the kid in your arms.
Izuku just barely managed to dodge Bakugou's next attack. This time, Izuku beat Bakugou. And he escaped, leaping from place to place.
He had a knack for finding people, so he found you pretty quickly. He watched you, closely. And he found out it wasn't your child you saved, but your student.
You were a teacher for troublesome kids. Kids who society deemed no good anymore because they had nothing to offer. But from Izuku saw, you gave them something to offer.
Kids like that often resented authority, but they loved you. You weren't like the other teachers out there, like the ones he grew up with who could look past bullying and not give a crap about their students.
You actually cared for those kids, if that wasn't obvious from you risking your life to save one.
Izuku also thought you were absolutely beautiful. You were stunning to him, just like you were stunning covered in dirt and bruises the day he first saw you.
Working with kids, you had some amazing traits. You were patient, kind, loving, and just about the nicest person he'd ever seen. But you knew how to be strict, and you knew how to get someone to open up.
You were perfect.
So of course, he kidnapped you in the middle of a lesson. He jumped through the window anf he watched you the bodies of the children closest to the window from the broken glass.
That just made you much more endearing.
He chuckled and grabbed you, throwing you over his shoulders. "Can I borrow Ms. Y/n for a moment?" He asked before jumping back out, not awaiting an answer.
You yelled and yelled, but you didn't fight him. It made sense though. If he dropped you, you'd die immediately on impact.
He brought you to a little bar he knew about. His theory was proved correct, cause you were kicking as soon as his feet hit the ground.
He walked in and a bunch of villains looked over, some confused and some laughing. Izuku was known to be a wild card, so no one was quite surprised.
He carried you to the back and down some stairs. "Easy, easy. I don't wanna hurt you." He pouted, finally sitting you down.
You quickly tried getting away, glaring at him. You pressed your back against the wall furthest from him. "You..!"
He smiled, holding his arms out a bit to motion to himself. "That's right. I'm the most powerful-"
"You're the asshole that almost killed my student last month!"
Admittedly, he was taken aback. Of all the things to remember him for off the top of your head, it was that.
"Oh.. Uh, yes. Sorry about that. That was an honest mistake. I don't kill kids." He clarified, smiling at you.
You shook your head. "Right, and you almost injured my students jumping through that window."
"Again, another accident. And I'm sorry. I was just very excited to see you."
"Well that's no excuse to-.." You cut yourself off before blinking up at him in confusion. "See me? Excited?"
He chuckled, nodding and taking a few steps forward. "I find you fascinating, Y/n. Your students love you because you're such a good teacher. And I love you because you're just an amazing person."
"Love me?" You shook your head. "No, you barely know me. You can't love me."
"Wanna bet?" He grinned.
You couldn't tell if he was really this happy or if he was just unhinged, but you figured it was maybe both.
"... You kidnapped me for this? You probably traumatized those poor kids. They're probably worried sick." You scoffed, turning away.
Izuku laughed, suddenly behind you. His deep chuckle had you going stiff.
"This is the first time I've seen you so mean. I like this side of you too though. It's cute." He said, corning you against the wall between his arms. "Please, accept my feelings. I'll keep you safe, give you the world."
You were going to immediately reject him, but the word "safe" had got you thinking.
"... Okay. If you can promise to keep my students and I safe from villains and danger, I accept."
"I promise you. I'll keep you safe. Though I have to say, you're so admirable. Still thinking of those kids." He sighed, shaking his head with a smile. "You truly are something else."
"I could say the same. Now can we please leave? I need to get back to my students." You looked away. "And pick me up from behind the school tonight at nine. If you want to date me, you should at least take me on a date."
<3 <3 <3 <3
Izuku was aman of his word. But he didn't trust anyone else to keep the promise he made to you, so he protected the kids himself.
He wasn't their parent and he couldn't watch them all at once, but no one was ever hurt. Especially under his watch. He killed if he had to, but he kept those kids safe.
Eventually, he took an interest in the kids himself and began talking with you about it.
"Jay is really smart. He just needs to apply himself."
"I know, Izuku." You giggled at your boyfriend, who had eventually grown on you. "Im working on it and it's going well. I promise."
"Good." He hummed, hugging you from behind. "You're his teacher, so I'm sure he'll be great."
