Lost and Hardly Noticed
So a couple months ago I read @kcgane‘s incredible fic “we are frayed and i’m so afraid” and well... it haunted me. For some reason I had a pretty clear picture in my head of what Shiro’s reality looked like and I just had to write it down before I went crazy. So here it is...

Summary:
In that second Shiro’s entire world crumbles on its fixed axis. Wobbling dangerously on the tiny thread still holding it up.
Shiro can't even look at him. He's so completely, crushingly beautiful. Sharper features, thinner face. That unruly mop of black hair looking as messy as ever. This is his Keith.
Inspired by @kcgane's ”we are frayed and i’m so afraid”
Excerpt:
Gasping he shoots up straight, sheets falling to pool at his hips, eyes wide and head swivelling. "Did we do it?"
The pain in his head is almost blinding but he manages to grasp tightly to Keith's arm and steady himself. "Is the rift closed? Where are we?"
Alarmed, Keith sits up as well. "Shiro? What are you talking about?"
Shiro stares wordlessly, his sore, tired mind startled into focus as he really notices Keith for the first time. More specifically his hair. The inky strands that fall soft and light over his neck, the ones he's worshipped in private for years, are no longer there. Bangs still hang heavily in his eyes but the back is shorn, an undercut throwing the long column of his pale neck into relief.
With trembling fingers and something like shock he reaches out. "When did you-"
"Daddy!"

Do me a favor, peeps, and go back and listen to Lotor deliver this line. Listen to the way Lotor says,”Must.” It sounds different to me.
And right after Lotor demands the team escort him to the Kral Zera, Shiro goes into full Lotor-biggest-fan mode.
Coincidence...?

voltron jurassic park au
Happy belated birthday to my dear friend @kcgane!!! 🎉🎉🎉
So I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said about loving dinosaurs and Jurassic Park and I really wanted to do something for it but !! since I really have no confidence in myself to write a full multichapter of this, I decided to give you a full on bullet point AU post + a (sheith) fic depicting a scene from this AU :D!! This might be a little convoluted but I wanted to try and make both AU’s fit each other. Hope you enjoy this small snippet. Maybe someday I’ll write more from it ^_^

And without further ado:
In the past, Alfor and Zarkon, who were co-owners of a bioengineering company called Altea, opened Jurassic Park after using quintessence to revive dinosaurs.
However, after a mysterious accident involving Alfor’s death, the ownership was passed down to his daughter Allura while Zarkon left the company.
In present day, Shiro is the park operations manager at Jurassic Park. He lost his arm once to a T-rex but still cares a lot for all the dinosaurs.
Keith, Lance, Hunk are interns that help around at the dinosaur park.
One day, Sam Holt (one of the workers) brings his kids Matt/Katie to the park on a tour.
But then, someone (Haxus) hacks into the computer system during this time to deactivate the park security so that he can steal fertilized embryos. Due to the consequent power outage, the dinosaurs escape their paddocks.
At first Shiro is mad at Allura for allowed this to happen, but she realizes soon that Haxus was a spy and tells them the full story about the history of the park.
As it turns out, the reason Alfor died is because Zarkon’s wife and top lab scientist Haggar had experimented with quintessence too far, breeding an incredibly dangerous dinosaur robeast that couldn’t be contained.
Zarkon had hoped they could militarize it while Haggar simply wanted to push the limits of science. In the end, it took all their efforts to put it down.
Now, Allura figures Zarkon has built himself back up as a rival company (Galra Tech) and is trying take fertilized embryos to build an army.
Pidge/Keith/Lance/Hunk/Shiro all meet each other and team up to try and get everything back in order.
They work with Allura to try and reboot the park’s security system (Pidge’s skills)
Unfortunately when they reach the maintenance shed, they find out that the raptors have escaped.
Chaos ensues with dinosaurs attacking as everyone tries to escape. They lead the raptors away from the shed and Pidge makes it through.
While Pidge works on trying to reset the park’s system, Lance and Hunk try and hold off the raptors and Matt, Shiro, and Keith end up in the lab to try and stop Haggar and Haxus from escaping with the embryo.
Eventually, Allura releases the Tyrannosaurus Rex, who devours the raptors.
Pidge succeeds in the reboot and they call for a helicopter. Everyone regathers.
When it arrives, they leave the island, leaving the members of Galra Tech to be eaten by the T-Rex.

This is from this fic right here! Interstice
It’s a gen fic and Keith centred (how to kidnap me in 2 easy steps) and hOLY CRAP I LOVE IT. This is one of my favourite scenes so I drew it ♡ THE CHARACTERS ARE SO WELL PORTRAYED MY HEART.
The fic is gen so no romance! It focuses on the platonic relationships between the characters and Keith’s struggles after S3, with “”“Shiro”“” being back and how that challenges his leadership role. Honestly the author (Sunny) is so talented and writes Keith so perfectly I just qksbakbsz. I guess if you liked he Klance interactions in S3 you can look out for that, the way platonic Klance is written here is top tier oh my god.
