[ID: a Venn diagram with three circles, containing a photo of Jango Fett, Din Djarin and L3-37 respectively. The overlap between Jango and Din reads: Single dad Mandos. The overlap between Din and L3 reads: Bestie got fucked over by Han Solo. The overlap between L3 and Jango reads: "My BFF wants to fuck me so bad it makes them look stupid". And in the space in the middle is the aromantic flag.]

✩ WEEKLY FIC ROUND-UP ✩
All the fics I’ve read and really enjoyed in the past week-ish. Reminder: This list features any and all ratings and themes.
DC
little suns by ScarlettSwordMoon
While Bruce was presumed dead, Dick adopted Damian. Now that Bruce has returned, the three of them struggle to adjust to the new status quo. AKA Five times Dick struggled with being a father and a son, and one time he got the balance right.
Stranger Things
Not So Bad by outofmygourd
Vecna is dead. It's the summer after the party's freshman year. Steve Harrington spends it in the Family Video Store, and Eddie Munson is spending post-graduate life bothering him. And maybe Steve isn't as bothered as he used to be
birds of a feather flock together by Bundibird
"You know," Robin tells Mike, her voice low and calm and soothing. "You can like both girls and boys."
Steve jerks in his seat like someone slapped him.
"What!?" he splutters, and it comes out as something halfway between a yelp and a squawk.
SVSSS
If Marriage Was an Olympic Sport by anatheme
Shen Qingqiu accidentally triggered a marriage hunt wife plot on his ass and now twelve people must compete for his hand in marriage by catching him before sunset. Enter Luo Binghe who left the abyss's oven earlier than canon for reasons.
save your tears (for another day) by anathem
In which the SYSTEM provided Shen Qingqiu a way to distract Luo Binghe during their reunion in the Jinlan City Arc:
And then he felt it, a hot and stinging sensation in his eyes. Something warm and wet trailed down his cheek. His vision blurred and he hurriedly tried blinking it away.
Shen Qingqiu quickly wiped his face before anyone could see. He stared at the wet trail in his hand in horror and betrayal. What the fuck, SYSTEM?!
Too late, Luo Binghe already saw it, judging by the sharp intake of breath and everyone going silent around him.
Star Wars
Thaw by spqr
That’s what hope does to you, Luke remembers now. It lingers at the back of your mind, whispering maybe, maybe, so that knowing a plan is stupid isn’t enough to keep you from trying it.
how to deal with the unfortunate matter of your parents being sex icons by Artootie (baxty_154)
Part 1 of Luke and Leia Skywalker-Naberrie's Adventures in being totally normal college students
“You know it’s strange,” his new roommate threw back over his shoulder. “You actually look pretty similar to Anakin Skywalker.” He straightened The Poster lovingly and patted the shiny pecs again.
Luke squeaked and cleared his throat, desperate for a distraction so he could flee to scream with Leia. “Uh yeah, about that…”
And as if the Force itself had heard him, the door swung open.
Enter stage left, Anakin Skywalker carrying a mini fridge.
Clone Wars
Those Who Can by K_R_Closson
After a chaotic, and traumatic, start to her apprenticeship, Obi-Wan Kenobi decides the life of a Jedi knight is not one for her. She joins the EduCorps and becomes a teacher instead. Her former grandmaster offers her a position on the planet Kamino, but when she arrives, she realizes he left out a few very important details. Her students number in the hundreds of thousands and soon will number in the millions.
But she is committed to this assignment, and the boys here need her. She learns how very much that is true as each new month spent on the planet revels new horrors and abuses.
Free Jedi to Good Home by soft_but_gremlin
Jango Fett expected several things from this hunt on Galidraan. Three hypothermic Jedi children stumbling into his camp was not one of those things.
let go and i'll hold you up by jynx
In the midst of a war, Obi-Wan finds a deck of diviner cards and, on a lark, introduces his Commander to the concept and then offers a reading. He honestly didn't expect the cards, or the Force, to egg them into a relationship, but maybe he should have.

Y'all should thank @mayxthexforcebecause they have been doing the lord's work in taking my incoherent comic rants the last two days as I deep-dive back into my favorite EU storylines....have most of them been Boba/Jango Fett related? Yes. Have I screamed about the tragedy of my tired Fetts boys? Yep. Was i supposed to grabbing screencaps for iconning of my boys, and get distracted by how sad they are? Absolutely.
Will you guys probably get a more condensed, less incoherent set of posts for some of my favorite/most important moments this weekend? Yeah, sorry, the answer is yes.
Anyway, if you don't want my screaming this weekend y'all should probably block my "Liz Liveblogs: EU Comics" , "Liz Liveblogs: New Canon Comics" , and "Liz Liveblogs: EU" because I have a feeling I'll just be screaming this weekend with pent up Emotion lmao.

You do realize that Jango Fett was a sentimental bastard. He flew his adoptive father's (Jaster Mereel) ship until he was physically forced to get the Slave I. So Boba being sentimental and flying his dad's ship all his life is so completely in line with the character. That was what Lucas intended when he introduced Boba as Jango's son. That's where Boba got his iconic ship and armor — from his father.
What in the actual fuck XD XD XD
You do realize that the last post on my blog tagged “Jango Fett” is from August, and is mostly about Zam Wesell being a wonderful disaster, right? And my last post tagged for dear Bob’ika is from October, and is a post about “bachelorchow” from Futurama, and the tag is from me rambling about how I wish I could eat the grey nutrient paste that his ship’s computer synthesizes for him, yeah?
If you’re going to send people anonymous screeds like this, please include some kind of context so that we know what post or idea it is you’re angry about. Because like...yeah, I have seen Attack of the Clones, I was there at midnight when it opened the first time in the worst Zam Wesell costume the world has ever seen let's not talk about that, I do in fact know where Fett’s armor and ship come from?? I’m not sure what this anon is in reference to???

Thoughts if they do more Book of Boba Fett or just continue Fett's storyline in general: if they want a threat in the Criminal Underworld, I think I have the perfect proposition... Prince Xizor.  I'm into this idea for a few reasons:
Black Sun is the only major crime syndicate we haven't seen in live-action (unless you count Crymorah since it's listed in the "big five" mentioned in Solo).
Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are clearly having way too much fun pulling in old EU things, so why the heck not? If you want a new criminal villain that's still somewhat iconic, I feel like Xizor would fit well.
Not sure how they'd fit into the story, like would it just be like the Pykes and trying to claim a power vacuum? Or maybe... the Hutt Twins return and decide they want Jabba's territory after all, and form an alliance with Black Sun to do so (granted IDK if this would make sense in the end, but look I don't see Boba flying off Tatooine unless he's got good reasons to... WTF I sound like I'm talking about Kenobi lol).
I guess I just think Xizor and the Falleen would be cool villains to show the wider audience? As long as the weird sex pheromones thing doesn't get too ludicrous and seems more like someone's horny fantasy, lol.
We've had many Legends characters reintegrated in significant ways, so Xizor I think would be a cool next step. Plus, since he's only been mentioned in canon so far, you have total freedom, like he's not even dead like in Legends.
I confess I don't know Shadows of the Empire very well so I have no idea how Xizor translates, but I'm sure if you could find a charismatic actor and get them to wear scaly green makeup, you could create a memorable villain.
Also this is a tangent from Black Sun maybe show some of Fett's old bounty hunter pals working for them, or Fett has to try and win them over and convince them of his new vision for the underworld that focuses more on cooperation. (Mostly just think it would be cool to see Bossk pop up since he's almost like a mentor or even father figure to Boba after Jango died, but you could also pay off that weird Cad Bane tease lol.)
anyway jon favreau dave filoni if you want a boba fett season that doesn't have the show be hijacked by another and leave the original main plot underdeveloped call me
honestly i just want the show to have another chance, one where it can explore more than just boba's post sarlacc backstory (which i DID like to see) and not be bogged down by the larger mandoverse
i guess another thought is maybe you could show how the balance of power changed and how different criminal organisations are more prominent in the sequel trilogy like the guavian death gang

You've seen them in the movies, and you've read about them in the books and comics. You might even play one yourself! Scoundrels are a key part of Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes--and they're pretty good at what they do too. In this article, we'll be exploring some of the best scoundrel characters that you can get your hands on. You'll learn how to use them effectively in battle as well as how best to equip them with gear so that their abilities are maximized at all times! 10) Aurra Sing Aurra Sing was once a female Jedi aspirant but later left the Jedi Order to become a bounty hunter. She was a Force-sensitive Palliduvan who became known for her viciousness and specialization in Jedi and political assassinations. In Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, Aurra Sing is a deadly bounty hunter that has increased damage while under stealth, and her basic ability, Weakening Shot, deals physical damage to the target enemy with a 70% chance to inflict stun for 1 turn. If the target is debuffed, Aurra Sing gains 20% turn meter. 9) Cad Bane Cad Bane was a ruthless bounty hunter from the planet Duro and was the most prominent blaster-for-hire in the galaxy during the Clone Wars and after the conflict ended. He was known for his impressive arsenal of weapons and allies, and his relentless pursuit of his targets, sometimes going to the ends of the galaxy to track them down He found a mentor in Jango Fett, he was also a mentor to a young Boba Fett, whom he met near the end of the Clone Wars 8) Young Lando Calrissian Young Lando Calrissian is a scoundrel attacker who is quite agile and has decent health. He is a versatile character who can deal significant damage with his basic attacks, "Double Down" and "Sabacc Shot." His unique ability, "One Last Shot," can deal massive damage to a single enemy and can be used even after he has been defeated. His special ability, "Lando's Charm," can stun enemies and grant allies turn meter. However, his main weakness is his low defense, which makes him vulnerable to attacks from strong enemies. He also lacks a reliable way to recover health 7) Vandor Chewbacca Vandor Chewbacca is a powerful and iconic character in the Star Wars Galaxy Heroes game. He is the nephew of the legendary Wookiee, Chewbacca, and has inherited his uncle's strength, loyalty, and fighting skills. His special ability, "Wookiee Fortitude," allows him to taunt enemies and gain protection up, making him an ideal target for enemy attacks. His unique ability, "Wookiee Resolve," grants him health and protection recovery whenever he resists a debuff. 6) Jango Fett Jango Fett was born on the planet Concord Dawn and became a bounty hunter at a young age. He was infamous for his ruthlessness and skill and was eventually recruited by Count Dooku to be the template for the clone army. Jango was motivated by his desire for wealth and power, as well as his loyalty to his son, Boba Fett. He was known for his cold and calculating personality, and his willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Fett's main strength is his versatility. He can deal significant damage to enemies while also disrupting their abilities with his ability to block and daze debuffs. He also gains additional speed and protection for each defeated enemy, making him more powerful as the battle goes on. However, Jango's main weakness is his low health pool. He can be taken down quickly if he is not protected by his team. He is also vulnerable to stun and daze debuffs, which can prevent him from using his abilities. 5) Qi'ra
Qi'ra grew up on the planet Corellia and was orphaned at a young age. She was taken in by the criminal organization known as the White Worms, where she learned to survive on the streets. She eventually met Han Solo and the two fell in love, but were separated when Qi'ra was forced to leave Corellia. She later became a lieutenant in the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate, where she rose through the ranks and became a trusted ally of leader Dryden Vos. an attacker who can deal significant damage to enemies. Her basic attack, "Quick Strike," can hit twice and has a chance to inflict a critical hit. Her special ability, "Deceptive Strike," can deal massive damage to a single enemy and grant her turn meter. Her unique ability, "Crimson Dawn," can grant her and her allies critical hit chance and protection up, making them more powerful in battle 4) Young Han Solo Young Han Solo is one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars Galaxy Heroes game. Players should use Young Han Solo to deal significant damage to enemies while also supporting their team with his unique abilities. They should pair him with characters who can protect him and heal him, such as Chewbacca and Princess Leia. Players should also use his "Shoot First" ability to gain an advantage in battle and take down key targets quickly. 3) Embo Embo was born on the planet Phindar and grew up in a clan of warriors known as the Kyuzo. He was trained in the art of combat and became a skilled bounty hunter, known for his use of a deadly bowcaster and his trademark hat, which doubles as a shield. Embo has worked for various criminal organizations, including the Hutt Cartel, and has gained a reputation as a ruthless killer. Embo is a unique and versatile character in the Star Wars Galaxy Heroes game. His ability to dispel buffs and deal high damage makes him a valuable asset in battles, and his durable kit allows him to withstand enemy attacks. Embo's unique personality and appearance make him a fan favorite, and he is a must-have addition to any dark-side team. 2) Dengar Dengar is a versatile character with high damage output and the ability to inflict debuffs on enemies. His basic attack, Blaster Takedown, deals physical damage to target enemy and inflicts Defense Down for 2 turns. Dengar is a valuable addition to any Scoundrel or Bounty Hunter team. He can be used effectively in various game modes, including PvP, PvE, and raids. Dengar's ability to inflict debuffs on enemies and gain Taunt and Retribution makes him a good tank character. Additionally, his Thermal Detonator ability can deal massive damage to enemies, especially when used in combination with other debuff-inflicting characters like Boba Fett or Cad Bane 1) Han Solo Han Solo is a legendary Rebel Scoundrel character in the Star Wars Galaxy Heroes game. He is known for his iconic role in the Star Wars movies as a smuggler, scoundrel, and general badass. In the game, Han is a versatile attacker who can deal high damage and control the battlefield with his unique abilities and leadership skills To use Han effectively in the game, players should focus on his damage output and control abilities. Han's Shoot First ability can be used to stun high-priority targets, while his Quick Draw ability can deal massive damage to enemies. Players should also prioritize upgrading Han's leadership ability to maximize the benefits to Scoundrel allies

Celebration Japan standouts were The Clone Wars panels with Dave Filoni, Matt Wood and Takeuchi." [gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144925,144924"] "The 501st had a cool Silver Trooper guarding George Lucas in carbonite. Someone's head will roll. Alongside the Rebel Legion modeling groups were set up with some amazing character and ship models as well as collector groups." [gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144927,144926"] "The Clone Wars footage was amazing. Three different clips were shown. Obi-Wan, Cody, Anakin, Rex and the clones battling countless Battle and Super Battle droids as well as spider droids on the world of Christophsis. Anakin and Rex make a very dramatic and unconventional flanking move to turn the tide of the battle against the droids. Several clones lost heads or limbs and became cannon fodder. The next clip was a fun clip with Anakin and the new character Ahsoka. Anakin's padawan (who rivals Padme and Leia with her wit and character) attacking a Separatist outpost atop of a mountain. "Race you to the top!" The massive AT-TE actually ascending the mountain, the battle droids are zany almost a stooge quality or a Gomer Pyle shtick. I loved how the battlefield is turned on its side as 'sky guy' and 'snips' race to the top. I think fans will love Ahsoka, she is a very cool character. The third clip was Kenobi and Asajj Ventress in a fierce lightsaber duel with Kenobi's famous quips that ended with Kenobi at the business end of Asajj's lightsabers. The Clone Wars looks amazing...on all levels." "The Fetts, Vader, Chewie, Skywalker, John Knoll and Dave Filoni panels were great. Steve Sansweet mc'd most of them. The English to Japanese translation took a little patience and the Celebration Japan fans went wild for Mark Hamill." Mary Franklin "Producing a Celebration in Japan was a unique challenge, because it was the first of the Celebrations in which most of the staff and crew did not speak English, and I do not speak Japanese. Even though we did not share a common language, we shared a common goal: putting on a great experience for Star Wars fans. We carried on together for the best possible outcome." Chris Gereke "The front middle of the Celebration Japan floor was the family recreation area where families could do crafts or Lego and buy toys from the coin vending machine. Beside that was the Jedi training stage where padawans could test their Jedi skills against Darth Vader and two of his Stormtroopers. The stage was lined by the Family Mart vendors where you could purchase food. Especially cool were the Pepsi Bear Kubricks that came with Pepsi."
[gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144931,144932"] "From left to right as you looked onto the Celebration Japan convention floor was laid out with the Artist Alley. On the left was artist Matt Busch, Spencer Brinkerhoff III, Randy Martinez, JAKe, Ralph McQuarrie, Tsuneo Sanda, Nagano, Lawrence Noble, Malcolm Tween and Robert Hendrickson." Richard Chasemore "Me drawing with a speeder helmet on!" Chris Gereke "There was a VIP party with the celebs with food, exclusives such as a Tsuneo Sanda print or Ewok hair. The con was adorned with Clone Wars posters and the Sanda Celebration Japan promo posters." [gallery link="file" size="large" ids="144935,144941,144942"] "Official Pix did an extraordinary job with the autographs and VIP actors and guests. Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Amy Allen, Jake Lloyd, Orli Shoshan, Tim Rose, Ray Park, Dave Prowse, Daniel Logan, Temeura Morrison, Mike Edmonds and Matt Wood." "The Celebration Japan store had some cool Star Wars exclusives that should be available on starwarsshop.com soon. Bounty Hunter shirts, bottle caps, Kubrick shadow guard, Marc Ecko Stormtrooper and Boba Fett hoodies. Clone Wars tickets, CJ towels, dolls, McQuarrie print, bear ewok and Kubricks." [gallery link="file" size="large" ids="144937,144938,144939"] "The Dewback Project was an amazing fan favorite. Goro the designer created an amazing likeness to the Dewback from A New Hope, maybe even better. You could ride or have a photo oportunity with the Dewback and or Yumi. And don't forget the cute Celebration Japan Slave Leia." Mary Franklin "There was no doubt in my mind that Star Wars was a cultural phenomenon in Japan, but my biggest concern in planning the programming was getting the mix of entertainment and exhibits just right for the audience. Based on what I have seen from Japan over the years – the different Star Wars collectibles, different Star Wars animation and costumes – the Japanese fans consistently add their own refreshing and unique spin on the saga. As we anticipated the majority of the audience would be Japanese, I really wanted the show to appeal to them. It was important it be a real Star Wars Celebration, but I believed it also specifically needed to be a Japanese celebration of Star Wars." Chris Gereke "In a separate Clone Wars panel with Dave Filoni, Takuechi and Matt Wood they premiered the General Grievous episode from the TV series. The Clone Wars TV opening had a retro World War II newsreel opening and radio era voice instead of an opening crawl. This episode contained Kit Fisto and his clones, which look amazingly cool. They descend on a planet to apprehend Rune Haako. The episode had a cool dark suspenseful feel and a new Mon Cal Jedi Knight Nahdar Vebb who was Kit Fisto's padawan. They descend into a lair only to discover Grievous' pet Roggwart, named Gor. Very cool." [gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144944,144943"] "The exhibitor area had Disney Star Tours, the post office where you could purchase customized stamps, model areas, Wii, Lego, Hasbro, Sanyko and photo oportunities with Vader, Artoo and Threepio. Larger than life pachinko and arcade type games were giving Vader postcards with signatures. Watches, JAL Vader and Stormtrooper samurai armor. Kotobuyika, Clone Wars figures, book sellers where Steve Sansweet signed his Vault and Star Wars Poster books which are a must for a Star Wars fan. And make room on the shelf for the Star Wars Encyclopedia." Richard Chasemore "Lawrence Noble giving a prize of a bust he did of Luke! Amazing work and the Japanese girl that won it went mad when she found out!" [gallery link="file" size="large" ids="144945,144946,144947"] Chris Gereke "Star Warriors was a documentary about the 501st and the Rose Bowl Parade starring Lucasfilms Steve Sansweet and Mary Franklin, George Lucas and the different personalities of the 501st."
Mary Franklin "The local fans from the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, and Star Wars collecting and building clubs were a tremendous resource. Not only were they readily willing to share their talents and time and ideas before the show, they took an active part in the show with fan tables, presentations, costumes, and entertainment. They were instrumental in a successful show that was “by the fans; for the fans.” Japanese guests, like The Clone Wars episodic director Atsushi Takeuchi, showcased national talent at the show as well." Chris Gereke "Behind and beside the Artists Alley were the Belgian Props with the Millennium Falcon, Snowspeeder, speeder bike and Jabba. Behind that was the Digital Stage with Rex, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka guarding the entrance. Beside the digital stage was the Vader Helmet project which was amazing." Mary Franklin "For the three days of the show I watched the fans have a great time, and take in every aspect of the programming and entertainment.
